Jewish Home Party: A Pro-Land Of Israel Party?

9 of the Eleventh Month 5769

An Open Letter to the Editors at Arutz 7 (Israel National News),

I recently discovered the graph Israel on your elections coverage page. I noticed that the Jewish Home Party was listed as one of two "Pro-Land of Israel" parties.

How is this the case, when Jewish Home Party Head Rabbi Daniel Hershkowitz has been quoted on your own news site as stating:

Rabbi Daniel Hershkowitz(IsraelNN.com) ...[Hershkowitz] also said that the party's Knesset members would enjoy freedom to vote according to their conscience on matters pertaining to the diplomatic process and that the question of territorial concessions is a 'pragmatic' one on which people have differing opinions.

How does a party with a party head making such policy statements get to be classified as "pro-Land of Israel?" Has Rabbi Hershowitz recanted, and I missed it? If not, then he barely sounds just barely more "pro-Land of Israel" than Avigdor Lieberman (Israel Our Home), who also claims to be "pragmatic" when it comes to territorial concessions?

Thank you in advance for response.
