MK Yariv Levin: released terrorists must not receive 'acclimation' payments.
Gil Ronen, January 15, 2014
MK Yariv Levin Coalition Chair, Likud-Beiteinu |
...Levin explained that if it were up to him, he would pass a law simply denying terrorists all NII payments and stipends, forever. However, he explained to Arutz Sheva, the current coalition can be expected to shoot down any such legislation, especially with dovish Minister Tzipi Livni heading the key Ministerial Committee for Legislation, which decides the fate of bills.
He added that attempts to pass legislation cutting off NII assistance to freed terrorists failed in the former Knesset, because of leftist opposition. In the end, a watered-down version of the bill was passed, which cut by 50% some of the stipends they may receive as Israeli citizens. (Read the entire report for the details)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Duh! What on earth should convicted terrorists receive ANY money at all, EVER?!
I mean, even if we were to believe that that criminals can actually be rehabilitated through the Israeli Prison System, and that they should get a stipend, in order to help them reintegrate back into Israeli society, then we would still leave these terrorists out of this equation.
They are all ideologues anyway. Even those who were supposedly coerced into murdering Jews by shooting, poisoning, planting a bomb, blowing himself up, or assisting in some way, so what?!
That's just too bad. They made the wrong choices, and wrong choices have consequences.

It is bad enough that these prisoners have television, a gymnasium, internet access, and eat better they have on the outside. But, they when released they were getting stipends as well??!!
Only in Israel... (SIGH)
Well, regarding this situation, at least one Member of K'nesseth has been trying to the "justice" back into the Israeli Judicial System, and that is Yariv Levin.
They are killing them with kindness lol
ReplyDeleteThat is left of the klipa for u. Kill the enemies with kindness , stab ur self and annihilate with injustice for all. Good one Israeli government that will teach them not to kill u .
ReplyDeleteI suppose that's one way of putting it. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhere's the justice, you ask? When ever was there justice as it should be? Not since '48.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you don't need reminders of all injustices we Jews have had to suffer through and continue to suffer at the hands of the Israeli government. The number of cases of injustice far exceed any justice that happens to come our way.
Only Moshiach, my friend, will bring justice to the Jewish people - and none else.
No, there never has been justice. You're right about that.
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, Mashi'ah will sort things out.
However, we do have to wait that long, if we get our act together. That's one of the reasons I write.
:-)
