More Christian Missionary Material Found in Jerusalem/עוד עלונים של מיסיונרים נוצרים נמצאו בירושלים

כ"ב לחודש האחד עשר תשע"ד

This morning, more Messianic Christian literature was found in the center of Jerusalem, this flier targeting Hebrew speakers.

Translation: Who is a Jewish leader who intimidated the authority of the religious establishment and taught: "All of the authority in the heavens and the earth has been given to me?"

Last summer, a yellow booklet was found in the same area of town, targeting Russian speakers.

(back of the flier)

News of a new "center" for missionary activities in the Nachla'oth/Rechaviah area has been circulating as well.

Of course, this area of town already has the displeasure of being located near the Baptist Church on Narkiss Street as well as, what I choose to call, the Jerusalem Christian Center, in the Klal Building.

If you see any suspicious literature in your area, please contact me by leaving a comment with your e-mail address, which will not be published.

  1. B"H - Burn the damn papers publicly, so that people can see what it worth. Requires a lighter to be carried at all times, just in case.

  2. I am also concerned that the OU allows xtians into classes and that "some" classes are starting to "dumb down" the lessons to gear them to an xtian audience. It could be that I am too biased, but I feel this is just wrong! The guys wear bright blue tzit tzit or a kippah and some of the women try putting a shmatta on their head~they are still obvious.

  3. Could be. Not sure.

I would speak to Phil Chernofsky or Rabbi Sholom Gold about your concerns.

  4. B"H

Some Rabbis do allow themselves accepting xtian donation money and this is the problem at the OU.

  5. Unknown,

You're right. It is a problem. Having worked at the OU, I know that they are better than most, and I am not so sure that they accept donations from Xians as an organization.

Phil Chernofsky or Rabbi Sholom Gold can answer any questions you have about this. They are both very approachable.

  6. The new "center" in Rechavia is being re-built on the corner of Narkiss and Usishkin. It is 4 levels and appears close to being finished. I walk past it everyday. Will keep you updated.
