Invitation to the Bris of Meir Ettinger's Son

כ"ה לחודש השנים ב' עשר תשע"ו

Esser Agaroth (2¢) Translation:
Meir Ettinger, a Jew and lover of Israel, has been in "administrative detention" for eight months. This week, Meir's first child, a son, was born, Baruch HaShem. The Shabba"k (ISA) and Israeli Courts refuse to allow Meir to participate in the brith milah of his firstborn son.

Abba will not be there. All of us will be there instead!

The Ettinger Family invites the public to the brith milah of their son which will take place with great happiness on Monday, 25 Adar II at the "Qahal Hassidim" Hall, HaSh'lah Street 11, Jerusalem (Sha'arei Hessed) at 2:00pm.

  1. I went. G-d willing will be giving a report on my blog when I have time, hopefully in the next couple of days. If I have no time, then....

Anyway Netzach Binyamin Ettinger was screaming his heart out for a long time from the painful cut. Poor little baby....Maybe his screams were also for his absent father...??

  2. Maybe Netzah Binyamin screamed for Mashiah as we should, all of the Jews!

  3. Thanks, DS.

Interesting name. After Rav Binyamin Kahane hy"d, do you think?

  4. Apparently so, it would make sense. I can tell you that there was a rush of emotion on the women's side when that name was called out. Beautiful.

Dov Bear Bar-Leib in his blog End of Days reports that he too attended. I left at about 4:30 PM, he left at 6:00 PM. So he got to see things I did not. He says that Rav Ginsburg who was there - I saw him enter, and later sitting at the Seudah table - gave a Shiur about the Netzach and Hod sefirot. I didn't hear it. Then of course there is the Beth Hamikdash in the territory of Benjamin. Could there be a hint there too? I don't know.

  5. Orna,

Could certainly be a connection. Several ideas about the screaming/crying entering the Brith.

    DS,

The Mizbe'ah was/is in Binyamin, but still, interesting point.

    Thanks for the report!

  6. Esser Agogot,

    You're welcome.

At first I thought it could have a connection with Shiloh - apparently the Yishuv they live in is called Geulat Zion - he Shiloh. But I looked it up and Shiloh is in Ephraim. So it's not that.

Please elaborate - maybe I am ignorant of the exact emplacement: I thought the whole Beth Hamikdash emplacement is on the territory of Binyamin.

    Thanks

  8. You are welcome.

For your information there are some wonderful pictures of the Bris from Hakol Hayehudi: I found them on the website of CDG, Hava Aharona blog. You can find links to both the pictures and the very good article of CDG on an UPDATE INSIDE my post. I also added to the title of the post: OD KAHANA CHAI!

I wish they would let women SEE. The way they placed the bris it was impossible to see a thing from the women's section.
