למה אני לא יכול להצביע למפלגת נעם / Why I Cannot Vote for the Noam Party

לפני כשבועיים אני עברתי את דוכן של מפלגת נעם. הבחור העומד שמה הסתכל אליי כאילו הוא מתלבט לגשת אליי או לא. אני החלטתי בשבילו והגשתי אליו. אני אמרתי לו "אפילו שאין שום ספק הרב טאו הוא חכם ושאני מעריך מה שהוא עושה עכשיו (לפעול נגד שירות החיילים והחיילות ביחד בצה"ל) אני לא יכול להצביע למפלגת נעם מפני שרוב (כל?) תלמידי הרב טאו (הרבנים) הם עדיין ממלכתיים מידי". הוא הגיב בשאלה, "באמת?"

"באמת," אני אמרתי והלכתי. ואז אני עצרתי וחזרתי אליו. "סליחה. אתה מוכן לסרב פקודה צבאית הנוגדת את התורה?"

הוא ענה, "תלוי."

למעשה אני התרשמתי מאוד מהתגובה שלו. לקראת גירוש היהודים מישובי עזה וצפון השומרון הרב טאו לא היה בעד סירוב פקודה צבאית באופן כללי. אלא הוא אמר חיילים לבקש העברת תפקיד או להתעלף או להתנהג כחולה כדי להמנע מלהשתתף בתכנית ההתנתקות בגירוש. ולכן, נראה לי יש התקדמות במחנה הממלכתי. זאת אומרת כשהרב טאו רואה ומדבר על הבעיות של מדינת ישראל גם תלמידי תלמידיו רואים את המצב הבעיתי במדינת ישראל ושהמדינה לא מושלמת כמו חשבו.

אני עברתי לעוד דוכן של מפלגת נעם ושאלתי בקול רם את ששת או שבעת הבחורים העומדים שם, ״אתם מוכנים לסרב פקודה צבאית הנוגדת את התורה?״

(שקט)

כולם הסתכלו אליי במבט ריק. הפרצופים שלהם הוכיחו לי שהם עברו שטיפת מוח בהצלחה. ברור אני הפתעתי אותם. אבל זה לא משנה. תלמידי תלמידי הרב טאו לא מוכנים לעלות להשתתף בשלטון המדינה. הם צריכים לעבור את תהליך התקדמות יותר. ובע״ה תהליך כזה לא יכאיב להם יותר מידי.

ולכן, אני לא יכול להצביע להם.

ד. נ. הבלוגרית תומר דבורה יצרה קשר איתי כדי להודיע לי שבעצם הרב טאו לא אמר "לא לסרב" אלא אמר משהו יותר כמו...

הרב אמר לא יכול להיות ש חייל דתי יפנה יהודים מביתם. לכן הוא אמר לחיילים דתיים להגיד למפקד שלו שהוא לא יכול לבצע את פדוקה כזו.

A Normal People in Our Land

About two weeks ago, I passed by a Noam Party booth. The teenager standing there looked at me like he was deciding whether to approach me or not. I decided for him and approached him. I told him that even though there is no doubt that Rabbi Tau is Torah scholar, and that I appreciate what he is doing now {working against men and women serving together in the same  Israeli Defense Forces [IDF] units}, his followers are still too mamlakhti (diehard State loyalists), and so I still could not vote for his party. He said, "Really?"

"Really," I said, and left. But, then I stopped and went back to him. "Excuse me. But, would you refuse an IDF order that contradicts the Torah?"

"It depends," he answered.

I was actually very impressed with his response. In preparation for the expulsion of Jews from Azza (Gaza, including Gush Qatif) and northern Shomron (Samaria), Rabbi Tau did not favor refusing military orders. Of course, he told soldiers to ask for a job transfer or to faint or to act sick to avoid participating in the disengagement plan expulsion. So, it seems there is progress in the mamlakhti camp. That is, as Rabbi Tau sees and talks about the problems of the State of Israel, his students (rabbis who follow according to his teachings) and their students also see the problematic situation around them. But, in my opinion, they still have a way to go. They are still way too mamlakhti.

I cannot vote for them.

Note: I was contacted by fellow blogger Tomer Devorah who stated that Rav Tau actually said to his students, something like...

"...making a blanket ruling for all religious soldiers to disobey orders was not something he was willing to do at the time. But he said that it could not be that religious soldiers would throw any Jew out of his home. So, he said every religious soldier must tell his commander that he can not follow that order."
