בעקבות הצבתו של בני גנץ כמועמד היחיד לתפקיד יו"ר הכנסת - כחול לבן מפרקת היום (חמישי) את השותפות שנוצרה לפני כשנה, וישראל מתקדמת צעד נוסף לעבר ממשלת האחדות.

לפי הסיכומים עד כה, "חוסן לישראל" של גנץ תקבל את משרדי החוץ, הביטחון, המשפטים, התקשורת והכלכלה - וגנץ יהיה ממלא מקומו של נתניהו. מהצד של גוש הימין והחרדים: ישראל כץ יקבל את תיק האוצר, יולי אדלשטיין יחזור לתפקיד יו"ר הכנסת, אריה דרעי יישאר במשרד הפנים ויעקב ליצמן בבריאות, לשר הביטחון בנט יוצע לשוב לתפקידו הקודם במשרד החינוך וש"ס תישאר עם משרד הדתות. בליכוד טענו כי "הדיווחים על פרטי המו"מ הם בגדר שמועות בלבד". איך רה״מ יציג את בני גנץ בעתיד? גנץ ימשיך להיראות כגיבור המציל של מדינת ישראל? או לבסוף רה״מ יישב בשקט יותר ויותר כל פעם שיבקרו את גנץ? 


עכשיו תתכוננו להקשיב לזעם של ח״כ יארי לפיד וח״כ משה ״בוג׳י״ יעלון. יקראו לגנץ ״בוגד?״

וגם רה״מ התניהו באמת מוכן לתת לגנץ להחליף אותו כרה״מ בעוד 18 חודשים? או יתקיימו עוד בחירות לפני זה?

מינויו של ישראל כץ לתפקיד שר האוצר, אם יתקיים, יפר למעשה את הבטחת הבחירות של נתניהו למנות את חבר הכנסת ניר ברקת לתפקיד. מקורביו של ברקת אמרו: "הוא סומך על ראש הממשלה באופן מלא, ואין לו ספק שיקיים את הבטחתו לאזרחי ישראל וימני אותו לתפקיד שר האוצר בממשלת החירום, ובוודאי לנוכח המשבר החמור ביותר לכלכלת ישראל מאז קום המדינה".

מי כן תתמנה בתור שר האוצר ומה ייצא מזה? ניר ברקת ראש העיר של ירושלים לשעבר גילה את רצונו להיות רה״מ. כמה סבלנות יש לו? מספיק כדי למנוע או לדחות מהפכה בממשלת נתניהו?

ומה עם מאיר כהן ראש העיר של דימונה האמור להיות המועמד הרשמי לדובר הכנסת של מפלגת כחול לבן? מומלץ לשים לב לפעילויות שלו. אולי אני אפרט את דעתי עליו במאמר נוסף.

With Benny Gantz headed for the Knesset speaker's chair and Blue and White dismantling its three-party alliance, Israel appeared on course Thursday for a unity government.

Gantz, who was last week tapped by President Reuven Rivlin to form the next government, announced at the last minute Thursday that he was standing for Knesset speaker, despite an internal Blue and White agreement to tap former Dimona mayor Meir Cohen for the role...

...According to the agreements reached so far, Gantz's Israel Resilience party will receive the foreign, defense, justice and the economy ministries and Gantz will become locum prime minister.

Channel 12 also reported that Gantz will take over as prime minister in 18 months.

Likud's Israel Katz, who is currently foreign minister, will receive the treasury portfolio and Yuli Edelstein will return to the position of Knesset speaker. (cont.)

I have to admit that I didn't expect such this at all.

How will Prime Minister Netanyahu present Benny Gantz in the future? Will Gantz continue to be seen as the State of Israel's hero? Or will the Prime Minister sit quietly every time they criticize him?

Be prepared to listen to MK Yair Lapid and MK Moshe "Boogie" Ya'alon's press conference tonight. They must be livid! Will they call Gantz a "traitor?"

And is Prime Minister Netanyahu really ready to let Gantz replace him in 18 months? Or will there be another election before that?

And expect even more drama soon ...

Yisrael Katz will be appointed Finance Minister. But that role was promised to former Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barakat. People close to him say they trust Netanyahu will fulfill his promise, and will appoint Barakat to to the Finance Ministry.

So, who will be appointed Minister of Finance and what will happen as a result? Nir Barkat has revealed his desire to become prime minister someday. How much patience will he have? Enough to prevent or postpone a revolution in Netanyahu's government?

And what about Meir Cohen, the former mayor of Dimona who was supposed to be the official Knesset Speaker candidate for of the Blue and White Party? I recommend you pay attention to him. Maybe I'll elaborate on my opinion of him in another post.

In the meantime, let's listen to Lapid and Gantz tonight. Who's bringing the popcorn?!
