סנופס שוחח עם נציגי Artists4Ceasefire באמצעות ראיון זום. הם הדגישו פעמים רבות שהיד שנכחה על עיצוב הסיכה היא כתומה ולא אדומה. הם לא סיפקו הערות נוספות.

More than 400 members of the Hollywood entertainment industry signed a letter written to President Joe Biden by Artists4Ceasefire, and some celebrities now are showing their support for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war on the Oscars 2024 red carpet by wearing a pin from the same organization featuring an outstretched hand with a heart on it.

Stars who signed the letter include Jessica Chastain, Quinta Brunson, Richard Gere, America Ferrera, Cate Blanchett, Lupita Nyong’o and Mahershala Ali.

Earlier this year, Bring Them Home was another organization also encouraging the use of a lapel adornment — in that organization’s case, a yellow ribbon — to likewise bring attention to the conflict. A number of stars and executives wore the yellow ribbons at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards to show their support for Israeli hostages held by Hamas since Oct. 7. (cont.)

According to the State of Israel's Official X (twitter) account:

Most celebrities wearing red pins don’t know that the image of red hands is associated with one horrific event imprinted on the minds of Israelis and Palestinians.

This symbolism isn’t a coincidence.

Still think that it's the Jews who control Hollywood?

Snopes spoke with representatives for Artists4Ceasefire via Zoom interview. They stressed numerous times that the hand present on the pin's design was orange, not red. They did not provide further comment.

Orange, and not red? Anyone really believe that?

I do believe how pathetic that response is.
