מסמך שחובר באוגדת עזה מראה כי צה"ל ומערכות המודיעין ידעו על תוכנית חמאס לפשוט על ישראל. המסמך הופץ פחות משלושה שבועות לפני טבח 7 באוקטובר כך דיווח סולימאן מסוודה בכאן 11. גורמי ביטחון סיפרו כי המסמך היה מוכר לצמרת המודיעין, ולכל הפחות לזו של אוגדת עזה.

על פי הדיווח, המסמך, תחת הכותרת "אימון פשיטה מפורט מקצה לקצה", הופץ ב-19 בספטמבר 2023, ומי שכתב אותו מתאר לפרטי פרטים שורה של אימונים שביצעו יחידות העילית של חמאס שבהם תרגלו פשיטה על מוצבים צבאיים וקיבוצים, חטיפת חיילים ואזרחים, ואף הוראות כיצד להחזיק את החטופים ולשמור עליהם כשהם כבר נמצאים בשטח הרצועה...

עשר אגורות (2¢):
אנו כבר יודעים את זה מאז החודש ה-10. טייס מסוק יצר קשר עם יונתן פולארד ואמר לו שהוא שמע על ההתקפות. הם ביקשו רשות להמריא, אבל לא נתנו להם.

זמן קצר לאחר הפיגועים הוציאו דיווחים על פגישות חשאיות בין המנהיגים של חמאס וחיזבאללה בביירות. אז למה זה מפורסם עכשיו שראשי צה״ל כבר ידעו על התיכנון של חמאס להתקיף את עוטף עזה? מפני שהם כבר לא יכולים לשלוט בהוצאת המידע. לקרוא לכל המודיעין הזה מערכת הנחות קשר (תאורית קונספירציה) לא הצליח עבורם במיוחד הפעם. אני מאמין שבפעם הבאה לא ייקח שמונה חודשים להתקבל בזרם המרכזי.

אין להם ברירה אלא להתחיל את הפרשנות והאשמות. כמובן שהם מאשים את נתניהו מההתחלה. והאמת היא בתור ראש הממשלה הכל באחריות שלו. למרות זה, קשה להיות רה״מ כשראשי צה״ל נאמנים יותר לאופוזיציה, כלומר לאהוד ברק לקבוצת קפלן שמתנגדת לרפורמה שיפוטית מאשר לממשלה. וגם נראה שראשי צה"ל תומכים בחדירת השקפת "ווק" המיובאת מעולם המערב.

איך רה״מ אמור לקבוע אסטרטגיה צבאית, או אפילו דיפלומטית, כשנראה שראשי צה״ל מונעים מידע ביקרתי, בטענה שאין מודיעין בר-פעולה, אז למה להפריע לרה״מ במערכות הנחות?

יש רק שתי סיבות שאני מאמין שנתניהו אולי שמר כמה מראשי צה״ל בתפקידיהם:
1. פשרה. הוא קיבל משהו אחר בעל ערך שווה או גדול יותר בתמורה לשמירה עליהם.
2. שמור אתכם חברים קרובים; לשמור את האויבים שלך קרובים יותר.

ראש אמ"ן האלוף אהרון חליוה הודיע הבוקר על התפטרותו במכתב לרמטכ"ל.

במכתבו ציין כי אמ"ן בפיקודו לא עמד במשימה, וכי הוא נושא איתו ביום ובלילה את היום השחור.

האלוף חליוה הוסיף כי נכון שתקום ועדת חקירה ממלכתית שתבחן ותבדוק את כל הגורמים שהובילו לכישלון.

חליוה אינו מקבל על עצמו אחריות אישית, אלא מתוקף היותו מפקד אגף המודיעין בצה"ל, וכאמור מציין כי מדובר בכישלון של אמ"ן כולו.

הוא יסיים את תפקידו רשמית לאחר שימצא מחליף בהליך המקובל.

A document written three weeks before the October 7 Hamas massacre revealed that Israeli intelligence was aware the terror group had plans for mass kidnapping, Israel's public broadcaster Kan reported on Monday.

According to the IDF report from September 19, a series of training drills were conducted by elite Hamas units. In these exercises, the terrorists practiced a raid on Israeli military outposts and kibbutzim, as well as the abduction of soldiers and civilians. They also practiced how to hold the hostages, and to keep them in the Gaza Strip.

This information about has already been out there in one for or another since October. Yonatan Pollard was contacted by a helicopter pilot who had gotten wind of the attacks. They asked permission to take off, but were told to stand down.

Shortly after the attacks, reports flowed in about secret meetings between Hamas and Hezbollah leaders in Beirut, Lebanon. So, why is this being released now? Because they can no longer control the flow of information. Branding it all as conspiracy theories did not work for them very well this time. I suspect that next time, it will not take eight months to be accepted by the mainstream. 

They have no choice but to begin the spin and start pointing fingers. Of course, they have been pointing fingers at Netanyahu since the beginning. And the truth is that, as head of the government, he does bear ultimate responsibility. However, it does make things a little difficult, when your military chiefs could be more loyal to to the opposition, meaning Barak and the anti-Judicial Reform, Kaplan group than to the government. The IDF chiefs also support, or at least look the other way from, the infiltration of "woke" ideology, imported from the West.

How is a head of government supposed to determine military strategy, or for that matter, diplomatic strategy, when military leaders withhold critical information, under the guise that no actionable intel exists, so why bother the prime minister with theories?

There are only two reasons I believe Netanyahu may have kept some of these military leaders around.
1. Compromise. He received something else of equal or greater value in return for keeping them on.
2. Keep you friends close; keep your enemies closer.

In his resignation letter, Haliva did not take personal responsibility for his part in the failures but rather a general accountability, without detailing his specific missteps.

We know that Haliva was awoken twice early in the morning on October 7 in his hotel in the resort city of Eilat at the southern tip of Israel. What is his excuse?

No personal responsibility indeed.
