אני לא מוכן להגיד שאני הגעתי למסיבה מאוחר. אלא אני איחרתי להתחיל לכתוב כמו האחרים שגם במסיבה איתי. איזה מסיבה? ״להגיע למסיבה מאוחר״ הוא ביטוי מאנגלית אמריקאית וכוונתו היא להיות אחד האחרונים שמע את החדשות ודווקא החדשות האמיתיות.

אני אחד האחרונים לכתוב על האמת של מעמדותה בבחירות לנשיאות ארה״ב של סגנית הנשיא הנוכחית קמלה האריס.

"הישגים" של ביידן כוללים...

• צמצם האבטלה... לאחר הסגרים ההרסניים במהלך קורונה. לפני קורונה, טראמפ כבר צמצם את רמת האבטלה.
• הורדת עלות האינסולין... אחרי שהוא עצמו העלה את העלות... ואחרי שטראמפ כבר הוריד את זה.
• אישור משאבים נוספים להגנה על הגבול הדרומי עם מקסיקו... לאחר שהוא ביטול כל הצווים הביצועיים הקשורים של טראמפ, וביטול בניית חומת הגבול. טראמפ צמצם את ההגירה הבלתי חוקית לשיעור הנמוך ביותר שלה בהיסטוריה של ארה"ב לאחרונה.

הנקודה העיקרית לגבי מועמדותה של האריס לנשיאות היא כיצד היא הפכה להיות המעומדה. בוועידה הדמוקרטית הקרובה, אין ספק שהיא תקבל את הקולות הדרושים מהנציגים כדי להבחר למועמדת באופן רשמי. אבל, אפשר לומר בכנות שהיא לא נבחרה ביד לע ידי העילטה, ושהיא לא התגנבה למועמדות דרך הדלת האחורית?

קלינטון נאלץ להבין שהם עדיין היו צריכים את ג׳ו ביידן למען אחדות כזו. למרות שבפוליטיקה האמריקנית, המועמד במקום השני בתוצאות הפריימריז הופך להיות המועמד לסגן הנשיאות, אם אין צורך בגיוון גיאוגרפי, כלומר כדי לשכנע לתושבי אזור מסוים להצביע להם באמצעות בחירת מעומד סגן הנשיאות מהאזור שלהם. וכך, קלינטון קיבלה את תפקיד מזכירת המדינה כפרס הניחומים שלה. או אולי הגזע ניצח על המגדר בבחירות ההם.

לא משנה מה דעותכם על קלינטון. אין ספק שהיא יותר חכמה באופן פוליטי מהאריס ונואמת יותר מסוגלת מהאריס. אולי האריס תבחור את קלינטון להיות מעומדת לסגנית שלה. כנראה שלא מכיוון שאין לטובת מעומדת לנשיאות כשהמעומדת לסגנית הנשיאות יותר אהודה ממנה.

Now, I wouldn't say that I was late to the party on this one. I was just late in writing about it.

Let's begin Harris's story at the beginning... not 30 years ago when she had an affair with then San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, and then suddenly became the San Francisco District Attorney. Rather, let us begin at the end of 2019, when she dropped out of the race for president, even before the Democratic Caucuses in Iowa.

Harris realized she had no chance of becoming the Democratic nominee in the 2020 presidential election. Then suddenly in the summer, 2020 she became the Democratic nominee for Vice-President. Although it is true that the majority of delegates voted for her at the Convention, and then the majority of voting Americans voted for her in the election -- if you think that no one influenced the election results illegally -- there were many more candidates shown to be more popular than her during the primary season.

Fast forward to this summer, 2024. Biden gets pushed out as the Democrats' candidate for President. Why? Because he cannot beat Donald Trump. If that is true, will they do the same to Harris at the upcoming Convention in August? No, of course not. The Democrats will seem even more hypocrital than non-Democrats already believe them to be. Removing a woman of color as candidate for President is simply not an option for them.

Just as Biden's only campaign strategy was to demonize lie about Trump, the Democrats' single strategy for the Harris campaign -- in addition to continued lying about Trump -- is to emphasize that she is a woman, and woman of color at that. Vice-President Harris's mother is Indian; her father is Afro-Jamaican.

If the Democrats are lying, or even partly lying, and Biden was removed due to his incompetance, and their inability to cover it up, then that is even worse. It means that thay have known about having a President incapable of fulfilling his Constitutional duties for the last year? The three and half years? Either way, it should be clear to everyone that Joe Biden was never running the United States. His handlers were.

Throughout Harris's term as Vice-President, she has done nothing, save for talk about abortion rights, and once in a while talk about Biden's accomplishments. But like all Democrats, touting his accomplishments, they ignore how things were still much better under Trump.

Biden's "accomplishments" include...

• Reducing unemployment... after the devastating lockdowns during COVID. Before COVID, Trump had already reduced unemployment.
• Lowering the cost of insulin... after he himself raised the cost... and after Trump had already lowered it.
• Authorizing more resources to protect the southern border with Mexico... after canceling all of Trump's related executive orders, and canceling the building of a border wall. Trump had reduced illegal immigration to its lowest rate in recent, U. S. history.

But the bottomline regarding Harris's candidacy for President is how she got there. At the upcoming Democratic Convention, she will no doubt receive the necessary votes from delegates to become the candidate officially. Nevertheless, can you honestly say that she was not hand-picked, that did not sneak into the candidacy through the backdoor?

I might say the same about former President Barak Obama. No question that he was handpicked. But in his case, his charisma, and was what beat Clinton in the end. In 2008, in a well publicized meeting between Obama and Clinton at the DC apartment of then Sen. Diane Feinstein z"l (D-CA), the agreement was finalized, in order to maintain unity within the Democratic Party.

Clinton was made to understand that Biden was necessary for such unity. Even though, as has often been the case, in American politics, the last remaining candidate becomes the candidate for Vice-President, barring any necessity for geographical diversity. And so, Clinton accepted the position of Secretary of State as her consolation prize. Or perhaps race beat gender that time around.

Say what you will about Clinton. But Harris has nothing on Clinton when it comes to intelligence, speaking, and political savvy. Who knows? Maybe Harris will tap Clinton for her running mate. Doubtful, though, since it usually does not bode well for the Presidential candidate, when the Vice-Presidential candidate outshines her.
