דקות אחרי שפרסמתי את הכתבה ״למה אני לא יכול להצביע למשה פייגלין״, מישהו פנה אליי ואמר לי לראות את רשימת המועמדים של מפלגת עוצמה יהודית איתמר בן-גביר ובמיוחד להסתכל למס' 12 ברשימת עוצמה יהודית של .

לא הייתי מרוצה בכלל.

איך הוא התגנב לרשימה? אני מתאר לעצמי שלכהונתו כדובר קהילת חברון עזר לו.

אוהד טל הוא מועמד מס' 7 ברשימת הציונות הדתית-זהות. ואז יש לו סיכוי להיכנס - לא מרוצה על כך - במיוחד אם הם יצטרפו לממשלה, וסמוטריץ' ופייגלין יתפטרו כדי להמנות כשרים.

למרות זאת, אני מצפה להצביע לעוצמה יהודית, ולהתפלל שפליישר יהיה נמוך מספיק ברשימה כדי שהוא לא ייכנס. ואז, כמו ב-2017, הוא יוותר, וילך.

מישהו הציע לי להצביע לציונות הדתית-זהות כדי לעזור לצבי סוכות להכנס. אם הציונות הדתית-זהות תיכנס לממשלה גם סוכות, כי חבר או שניים יתפטרו לאחר כדי להמנות כשרים.

אני מאמין שהבחירה הטובה יותר היא להצביע לעוצמה יהודית.

Minutes after I had published my post Why I Can No Longer Vote For Moshe Feiglin, someone directed my attention to candidate #12 on Itamar Ben-Gvir's Otzmah Yehudit (Jewish Strength) List.

I was not at all pleased.

How did he sneak his way into the list? I imagine that his tenure as the spokesperson for the Hevron community had something to do with to it.

Well Ohad Tal is candidate #7 on the Religious Zionist-Zehut list. He may have a chance of getting in -- not good -- especially if they join the government, and Smotrich and Feiglin resign their seats to become ministers.

I think Fleisher is more dangerous than Ohad Tal, if no other reason that he is a native English speaker. And native Israelis traditionally have no clue about the underbelly of Christians, whereas even your average American Jew knows more, or at least used to. Although both he and Tal have attended Waller's Israel Summit. 

Most native Israeli rabbis depend upon native English speakers to As I just stated, English speakers, in particular Americans, tend to have much more knowledge and experience regarding Christians and their shenanigans.

This begs the question, as Hevron community spokesperson, how does Fleisher regard Hevron's Rabbi Dov Lior's ruling on staying away from Hayovel? It also begs the question as to how Hevron resident Itamar Ben-Gvir would allow Fleisher onto the Otzmah Yehudit list.

Nevertheless, I expect to vote for Otzmah Yehudit, and just pray that Fleisher is low enough on the list not to get in. Then, like in 2017, he will give up, and go away.

I like the top six on the Otzmah Yehudit list. Although Amichai Eliyahu #4 is the son of Shmuel Eliyahu, whose views on Christian "lovers of Israel," and COVID regulations are not to my liking.

Yitzhak Kroizer #7  is Rabbi Yehuda Kroizer's son, which is a plus. I really do not know any of the others. Although I have heard good things about #16.

Someone suggested voting for Religious Zionism-Zehut to help Tzvi Sukkot get in. If Religious Zionism gets into the government so will Sukkot, since someone or two will resign after becoming ministers.

I still believe the better choice is to vote for Otzmah Yehudit.

לדבריו, הסיבה היחידה לדיון בבג"ץ היא העובדה שהעז לשלוט במשרדו: "אני לא דוגמן של הפרקליטות. אני לא עציץ. אני שר שנבחר כדי למשול. היועמ"שית רוצה שר של טקסים, עם ישראל רוצה שר של מעשים. הסיבה היחידה שאנחנו נמצאים כאן היום היא כי עמדתי במילה שלי לבוחרים, הבטחתי מדיניות, הבטחתי משילות, הבטחתי שאני אשלוט במשרד שלי, זה בדיוק מה שעשיתי - וזה מה שהיועצת המפוטרת לא סובלת".

לקראת סיום דבריו, שלח השר מסר ברור לשופטים ולמערכת המשפטית: "הגיע הזמן שמי שמצביע ימין יקבל ימין. הניסיון להתערב במינוי שר ובסמכויות שלו מסוכן. זה מדרון חלקלק למשבר חוקתי. בדמוקרטיה השר קובע מדיניות והשר גם ממנה את מי שמבצע אותה. לא יועצת משפטית, לא פרקליטות ולא שליחים שלהם. אל תגררו את מדינת ישראל לשם. הדמוקרטיה לא תיפול. אבל הדיקטטורה המשפטית - כן"....

שר הביטחון הלאומי פשוט עושה את מה שהבוחרים בחרו בו לעשות. הבוחרים הצביעו רה״מ נתניהו להמשיך בדרכו כולל מינוי שרים.

בג"ץ מנסה למנוע זאת. בג"ץ מנסה למנוע את יישום רצון העם - רצון הבוחרים - שבחרו בממשלה הזו, שמפלגותיה הבטיחו במפורש לקדם רפורמה של מערכת המשפט.

...בפן המשפטי, השופט עופר גרוסקופף הביע דאגה עמוקה מהתנהלות השר והשפעתה על רשויות האכיפה. בפנייה למייצג הממשלה, עו"ד מיכאל ראבילו, אמר גרוסקופף: "הטענה היא פוליטיזציה של המשטרה וזאת סכנה מיוחדת לדמוקרטיה. זה בעייתי מכל זווית אפשרית".

אבל זה בדיוק מה שעושה בית המשפט העליון באמצעות הדיון להדחת בן-גביר האפשרית. עוד דוגמה למוסרים הכפולים של השמאל כדי לבטל את שלטון הממשלה שנבחרה על ידי העם כדי לקדם אתאבל זה בדיוק מה שעושה בג״ץ. עוד דוגמה לסטנדרטים הכפולים של השמאל כדי לבטל את שלטון הממשלה שנבחרה על ידי העם למען קידום מטרותיה כגון להטמיע את עם הישראל בתוך התרבות המערבית ולבטל את השפעת התורה בארץ ישראל.

הנה דוגמה להגיון המגוחך של השמאל.

שיקמה ברסלר היא פרופסור לפיזיקה, ואחד מנהיגי תנועת המחאה נגד הרפורמה המשפטית. ברסלר צריכה להבין שבתי המשפט כבר הפך לעצמה לא כשר באמצעות סירוב להשאר בתחום רשות השלטון שלה בממשלה, רשות המשפט. אלא נכנס לעניינים של הרשות המבצעת והרשות המחוקקת.

...Addressing the press before the hearing, Ben-Gvir chose not to refute Attorney General Gali Bahrav-Miara's claims, but adopted them proudly as proof that he had followed through on his promises.

"She says that I determine policy and change the police? She's right. She says that I appointed more than 1,100 officers to implement my policies? She's right. She says that I back up officers and support Force 100 in the face of a blood libel against them? She's right. The people of Israel elected Otzma Yehudit and me to lead all these things and, thank G-d, we succeeded."

Ben-Gvir did not hold back when talking about the Attorney General, whom he referred to as the "fired attorney." According to the minister, the only reason for the Supreme Court hearing is the fact that he dared to control his ministry: "I am not the prosecution's doll. I am not a plant. I am a minister who was elected to rule. The Attorney General wants a ceremonial minister; the people of Israel want a minister of action. The only reason we are here today is that I stood by my word to voters, I promised policy, I promised governance, I promised that I would control my ministry, that is exactly what I did, and that is what the fired attorney can't stand."

Toward the end of his remarks, Ben-Gvir sent a message to the judges and judicial system: "The time has come that those who vote for the right will get the right. The attempt to interfere in the appointment of a minister or their authority is dangerous. It is a slippery slope to a constitutional crisis. In a democracy, the minister determines policy, and the minister also appoints those who execute it. Not the Attorney General, not the prosecution, and not their emissaries. Don't drag the state of Israel there. The democracy will not fall. But the judicial dictatorship will...."

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
The Minister of Internal Security is simply executing what the electorate elected him to do, having given Prime Minister Netanyahu the authority to appoint his choice of minister to do so.

The High Court is interfering with this. The High Court is interfering with the will of the people -- the voters -- who chose this government, whose parties specifically promised to pursue reformation of the current judicial system.

In his opening remarks, Justice Ofer Grosskopf said the petitioners allege attempts to politicize the police, warning that this poses a particular danger to democracy.

"The politicization of the police is unacceptable," he said. "Assuming a national security minister is acting to politicize the force, it's possible the prime minister has no interest in removing him from office, perhaps because it aligns with his own interests." (Ha'aretz)

But, politicization is exactly what Israel's High Court is doing. This is just another example of the double standards begin employed by the Left, in order to further their agenda, including full assimilation of the Jewish People into Western culture, thus bringing Israel into the Western-based, globalist society, and elimination of any influence of the Torah within the Land of Israel.

Here is an example of the Left's cockamamie reasoning.

Shikmah Bressler is a professor of physics, and one of the leaders in the protest movement against Judicial Reform. What Bressler does not understand is that the Courts have already delegitimized themselves, having refused to stay their lane of the judicial branch of government, veering into the lanes of the executive and legislative branches.

Furthermore, she should remember that Israel's judicial system was already dismantled, and reconstructed in 1996, by former Chief Justice Aharon Barak.

Prime Minister Netanyahu, Justice Minister Yariv Levin, and Itamar Ben-Gvir, are the ones who have been trying to fix it, standing in the way of the Courts full control over the State, in other words, a dictatorship.

אני לא טוען שבן גביר הוא מרדכי או שנתניהו הוא מרדכי. אלא אני פשוט מאיר את ההקבלה בין שני המקרים שבהם יהודים קיבלו רשות להגן על עצמם במהלך מתקפה מצד האימפריה הפרסית.

The decision comes at a particularly sensitive security time - in the shadow of the war and during the month of Ramadan, based on the perception that weapons in the hands of responsible citizens constitute an important component in strengthening personal security and the ability to respond to terrorist and criminal incidents.

This report reminds me of something from Megilath Esther (Scroll of Esther) we just read last week on Purim.

And they wrote in the name of King Ahasuerus, and sealed it with the king's ring, and sent letters by posts on horseback, riding on swift steeds that were used in the king's service, bred of the stud; that the king had granted the Jews that were in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, and to slay, and to cause to perish, all the forces of the people and province that would assault them, their little ones and women, and to take the spoil of them for a prey, (Esther 8:10-11)

I am not suggesting that Ben-Gvir nor Netanyahu is Mordechai. I am only suggesting the parallel between the two incidents of Jews obtaining permission to actually defend themselves during an assault from the Persian Empire.

שוב, הגויים מצילים אותנו, בזמן שאנחנו לא יכולים להציל את עצמנו. קיבלנו דחייה אחר דחייה להצעות ישראל לחלקי ארץ ישראל תמורת השלום. כעת, השפעת הקהילה הבינלאומית כביכול גורמת לראש הממשלה נתניהו לחשוב פעמיים על הצעת חוק עונש המוות למחבלים.

אחרי מספר פעמים אני חוזר להזהיר שאם ישראל תעביר חוק שיאפשר עונש מוות למחבלים, הוא יופעל על ידי השמאל ועל ידי בתי המשפט כדי לזהות יהודים שיכללו בקבוצה שהיא סוג של מחבלים.

או ששר הביטחון הפנים בן גביר לא ממש מבין את המצב. וגם לא ח״כ לימור סון הר-מלך. או שיש להם אמון בלשון ההצעה. כי בן-גביר בוודאי יודע שאין לסמוך על המערכת המשפטית של ישראל.

אני לא יכול להדגיש מספיק את הסכנות של המערכת המשפטית היום, הנשלטת על ידי הערב רב, שלא תהסס לתייג יהודי כמחבל. בהינתן האמצעים, הם ימצאו דרך להטיל עונש מוות על יהודים.

במיוחד המתנחלים [האמיתיים] והחרדים צריכים להיות מודעים לכך ולהזהר.

וכדאי להזהר לא רק מהשמאלנים אלא גם מהממלכתים (נאמני המדינה לגמרי) יקבלו את החוק הזה, אם יעברו אותו, בשל אמונתם בקדושת הדמוקרטיה. למרות שאין קיים כיום בית משפט שיש לו את הסמכות לגזור על יהודי עונש מוות.

זוהי עדות נוספת לבלבול של קהילה זו לגבי ההבדלים בין חוקי התורה לחוקי המדינה החילונית.

Once again, the Nations save us, when we cannot save ourselves. We have had rejection after rejection of Israel's offers of land for peace. Now we have the influence of the so-called international community causing Prime Minister Netanyahu to have second thoughts about the proposed death penalty for terrorists law.

I have repeatedly warned that if Israel passes a law allowing the death penalty for terrorists, it will be manipulated by the left, and by the courts, to identify Jews to be included in this category.

Either Internal Security Minister Ben-Gvir does not quite get it. Nor does MK Limor Son Har-Melech. Or they have confidence in the language of the proposal. For surely he knows not to trust Israel's judicial system in its current state.

I cannot emphasize enough the dangers of our current Erev Rav-controlled judicial system which will not hesitate to label a Jew a terrorist. If given the ammunition, they WILL find a way to apply the death penalty to Jews.

[Real] Settlers and Haredim (ultra-orthodox) in particular should be aware.

And one should not just be careful of the leftists, but also of the Mamlakhtim (diehard state loyalists) will this law, if passed, due to their belief in the sanctity of democracy. Even though there is no court in existence today which has the authority to sentence a Jew to death.

YNET: בר הורה לבדוק אם הכהניזם חדר למשטרה, נתניהו: "חתירה תחת יסודות הדמוקרטיה"
ראש השב"כ, לפי מסמך שפורסם, הורה לבחון את התפשטות הכהניזם למוסדות אכיפת החוק - כחלק מייעוד הארגון. נתניהו הודה שבר העלה בפניו את הנושא, אבל טען: "לא אישרתי לאסוף ראיות על הדרג המדיני - דרשתי שיעלה את זה בפני בן גביר". לדברי ראש הממשלה, מעשי בר "מזכירים משטרים אפלים"

ראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו האשים הבוקר (שני) את ראש השב"כ רונן בר בפעולות ש"מזכירות משטרים אפלים וחותרות תחת יסודות הדמוקרטיה". לטענת נתניהו, בר מנסה "להפיל ממשלת ימין". הרקע לעימות החדש בין השניים הוא דיווח לפיו שב"כ מנהל חקירה חשאית נגד המשטרה, בחשד לחתירה תחת סדרי השלטון והמשטר הדמוקרטי - בחשד שהכהניזם התפשט לתוכה. בשב"כ הכחישו כי מדובר בחקירה, אך לא שללו כי הארגון בודק את הנושא.

בדיווח של עמית סגל בחדשות קשת אמש פורסם מסמך שעליו חתום ראש השב"כ מסוף חודש ספטמבר. במסמך נכתב כי "סימנו את התפשטות הכהניזם למוסדות אכיפת החוק כתופעה מסוכנת, שמניעתה היא חלק מייעוד שב"כ. נוכח המעורבות של דרגים פוליטיים - יש לעשות זאת בשום שכל ובמשנה זהירות". בר הורה לאנשי שב"כ "להמשיך ולאסוף ראיות ועדויות למעורבות הדרג המדיני בעשיית הדרג הביטחוני, בכיוון הפעלת הכוח באופן המנוגד לחוק - ולבוא עם מספר ממצאים"... 

נתניהו, כך דווח אמש, עודכן על-ידי רונן בר בחקירה. ראש הממשלה הודה בכך הבוקר, אבל טען כי "ראש הממשלה מעולם לא עודכן על-ידי ראש השב״כ שבכוונתו לאסוף ראיות על הדרג המדיני מאחורי גבו, ולא נתן אישר לכך. להפך, בפגישת עבודה ב-19 ביוני 2024, כשראש השב״כ העלה טענה על כניסת גורמים כהניסטים למשטרה, ראש הממשלה הנחה באופן חד-משמעי את ראש השב״כ להציג בפניו תימוכין לטענה זו, להעלות זאת באופן ישיר ומיידי בפני השר לביטחון לאומי, ובשום אופן לא לפעול מאחורי גבו של השר. ראש השב״כ התחייב בפני ראש הממשלה לעשות זאת, אך לא קיים את התחייבותו".

...אמש טענו בסביבתו של בן גביר ל"עימות חסר תקדים" שכמעט גלש לקטטה בישיבה ביטחונית במעורבות רונן בר, אולם התברר שלא כך הדבר: בן גביר התפרץ לעברו של בר, שהשיב שמעולם לא הורה לחקור אותו והמשיך לשבת במקומו. לאחר מכן אמר בן גביר לנתניהו בישיבה: "מדובר בראש שב"כ שקרן, עבריין שצריך לשבת בכלא. מרגל אחרי הדרג הפוליטי. אוסף מידע וראיות מנסה לעשות הפיכה".

שב"כ: כך וכהנא הם ארגוני טרור, זה ייעודנו 
בשב"כ אמרו אמש כי לא התקיימה חקירה של שב"כ נגד המשטרה או נגד הדרג המדיני, וכי לא מתקיימת חקירה כזו גם כעת. "ראש השב"כ שוחח עם מפכ"ל המשטרה והבהיר לו את הדברים. השניים הדגישו את חשיבות שיתוף הפעולה בין הארגונים למען ביטחון המדינה", מסרו עוד בשב"כ.

בארגון ציינו עוד אמש כי "תנועות כך וכהנא חי הוכרזו בשנת 1994 'התאחדויות בלתי מותרות', ומאז שנת 2016 הן מוגדרות 'ארגוני טרור'. פעילותם של ארגונים אלה נמשכה גם לאחר מכן, והשירות פעל לחשוף אותה ולסכלה, בהתאם לייעודו בחוק. בהמשך לכך, וככל שמתקבל מידע בנושא, השירות מטפל גם בחשש לחדירת גורמים אלו למוסדות השלטון, ובפרט למוסדות אכיפת החוק".

הכהניזם היא אידיאולוגיה פוליטית-דתית המבוססת על משנתו של הרב מאיר כהנא. היא דוגלת בלאומנות יהודית-קיצונית ושואפת להקמת מדינת הלכה בארץ ישראל, תוך תמיכה בהפרדה מוחלטת בין יהודים לערבים, התנגדות לנישואי תערובת, וקריאה להעברת האוכלוסייה הערבית מישראל. בשל זאת, תנועת "כך" של כהנא נפסלה מלהתמודד לכנסת ב-1988. רעיונותיו, כפי שצוין גם בתגובת שב"כ, ממשיכים להשפיע על חוגים בימין הקיצוני.

בממשלה החליטו ביום חמישי האחרון להדיח את ראש השב"כ בר מתפקידו, אחרי שראש הממשלה נתניהו טען כי איבד את אמונו בו. בר, שלא הגיע לישיבה, העביר מכתב חריף שבו פירט את טענותיו נגד ההליך של הממשלה, וגם שיגר בו עקיצות לראש הממשלה.

ביום שישי, שעות לאחר החלטת הממשלה, הוציאה שופטת העליון גילה כנפי-שטייניץ צו ארעי שלפיו יוקפאו פיטוריו של ראש השב"כ בר עד להחלטה נוספת בנושא. לפי ההחלטה שהתקבלה בלילה שבין חמישי לשישי, בר יסיים את תפקידו ב-10 באפריל או בעת מינוי מחליף. בג"ץ הורה אתמול בצהריים כי הדיון בעתירות נגד הדחת בר יתקיים יתקיים ב-8 באפריל, בעוד שבועיים וחצי. הרכב השופטים שידון בעתירות, לפי הוותק של השופטים - הוא נשיא העליון יצחק עמית, והשופטים נעם סולברג ודפנה ברק-ארז.

ראש השב"כ שמנהל חקירה פוליטית נגד הדרג המדיני תוך הצבת יעד מראש - הגשת ראיות נגד הממשלה - חצה קו אדום מסוכן. זה לא ביטחון לאומי - זו הפיכה שלטונית במסווה של ארגון חשאי. רונן בר חייב לסיים את כהונתו לאלתר".

עשר אגורות (2¢):
משה פייגלין מספר על פעם שהוא היה בשיחת טלפון בזמן של הפגנות נגד הסכמי [מוות] אוסלו .פייגלין ידע שסוכני השב״כ מקשיבים לשיחות טלפון שלו. אבל פעם סוכן שב״כ פתאום הפריע לשיחה שלו כדי להגיד שהוא לא מסכים אם מה שהם שדברים.

אתם קראתם נכון. סוכן השב״כ לא רק גילה את נוכחותו בשיחה אלא גם התחיל להשתתף בשיחה. אי אפשר לדמיין דבר כזה. זה קרה בחיים אמיתיים.

האם זו הייתה אסטרטגיה או סוכ של, כדי לשמור את פחד האזרחים ממנו? או שזו הייתה דוגמה לחוסר יכולתו. זה לא כל כך ברור.

כשאנחנו צריכים לשאול את עצמנו שאלות כאלה, נראה שהשב״כ מצליחה להשיג את אחת ממטרותיה, לשמור את שליטתו על האזרחים.

בשנת תשס״ב/2001 אני עברתי ליישוב עפרה (יהושע יח,כג; שמואל א׳ יג,יז), ולמדתי על האופן אהודי לענות לטלפון, "שב״כ שלום".

אולי לא יצרו את הברכה הטלפונית הזו בגלל שיחת הטלפון הנזכרת של משה פייגלין, חברו, וסוכן שב״כ. אבל הבנתי שאפילו תושבי עפרה, שבעיקר הם ממלכתיים (נאמני המדינה גמורים), יודעים מאוד על החשש השב״כ יכול להאזין לשיחות הטלפון שלהם.

טוענים שמניעת הכהניזם מלהתפשט היא חלק מייעוד שב"כ.

אני לא מסכים במאה אחוז עם ההגדרה לעיל של כהנאיזם. אבל אני גם חושב שזה לא כל כך חשוב. אני מציע שבכל פעם שרואים או שומעים את המילה "כהנאיזם", כדי להחליף אותה במילה "תורה". זה על מה השב״כ וכוחות השילטון מעלו דואג: תורה.

למה שהשב"כ מתיחס כקיצוניות, שומרי תורה ומצוות לחלוטין יודעים שתורה נוגעת בכל חלקי חיינו, ולא רק הלכות שבת וכשרות. התורה גם מורה איך ממשלה יהודית אמיתית פועלת, איך צבא יהודי אמיתי פועל, איך להתיחס לגוים בזמן השלום ובזמן המלחמה, ועוד הרבה עניינים בחיי היומיום שלנו.

המתנחלים [האמיתיים], החרדים מאמינים בשלטון המבוסס על תורה לעתיד ארץ ישראל ועם ישראל. אפילו הדתיים הממלכתיים מאמינים שמערכת ממשלה של מדינת ישראל תשתנה באופן קיצוני בימות המשיח.

התורה היא האויב האמיתי של המדינה. התורה היא האיום הקיומי האמיתי על המדינה.

כדאי לנו לזכור את זה.

Yeshiva World News: “Earthquake:” Shin Bet Led Secret Probe Of Ben-Gvir, Police

In recent months, the Shin Bet conducted a covert investigation against the police and the minister in charge of it, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, on suspicion of “undermining the foundations of government and the democratic regime,” Channel 12 News reported on Sunday evening.

According to the report, a secret document compiled by the Shin Bet stated: “We have marked the spread of Kahanism to law enforcement institutions as a dangerous phenomenon, the prevention of which is part of the Shin Bet’s mission. Given the involvement of the political echelon, this must be carried out with great care and caution.”

Bar’s people were instructed to gather information secretly and come up with some “findings,” with the document stating: “Continue to collect evidence and testimony of the political echelon’s involvement in the actions of the security echelon in the direction of using force in a manner contrary to the law, and come up with some findings.”

The Shin Bet initially confirmed the report, even claiming that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was informed of the investigation, but then retracted the statement and denied the existence of such a probe.

Ben-Gvir responded by saying: “This is an earthquake. Now it is even clearer why Ronen Bar must not be left as the head of the Shin Bet for even a minute. The head of a secret organization who initiates investigations and gathers materials against elected officials, while defining the goal in advance, ‘to collect evidence and testimony of the political echelon’s involvement’, is an immediate danger to democracy, who must be removed from any position immediately.”

According to reports, a stormy scene took place on Sunday evening when Ben-Gvir, who heard about the Shin Bet probe from his advisors, burst into a meeting of the cabinet and shouted at Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, saying: “Are you behind this?”

Bar responded: “A lie. I never ordered an investigation against you. They’re always telling lies about me.”

Ben Gvir then left and returned with the documents and presented them to the participants at the meeting, saying to Netanyahu: “This is a lying Shin Bet chief, a criminal whose place is in prison, a head of a secret service who spies on the political echelon, orders the collection of incriminating material on them, and tries to carry out a coup. It is simply unbelievable that a security organization in Israel is undermining the government and conducting a political investigation in order to carry out a political coup against the will of the people.”

Netanyahu’s office responded to the report on Sunday evening, stating: “The Prime Minister is not aware of this investigation and was not updated about it by the Shin Bet chief.”

His office published another harsh statement against Bar on Monday morning, stating: “The claim that the Prime Minister authorized Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar to collect evidence against Minister Ben-Gvir is another lie that has been shattered.”

The statement added that “the document that was published – which shows an explicit directive from the Shin Bet chief to collect evidence against the political echelon – is reminiscent of dark regimes, undermines the foundations of democracy, and was aimed at overthrowing a right-wing government.”

“The Prime Minister was never updated by the Shin Bet chief that he intended to collect evidence on the political echelon behind his back, and did not authorize this. On the contrary, at a working meeting on June 19, 2024, when the Shin Bet chief raised a claim about the entry of Kahanist elements into the police, the Prime Minister unequivocally instructed the Shin Bet chief to present him with evidence to support this claim, to raise it directly and immediately before the Minister of National Security, and in no way to act behind the Minister’s back. The Shin Bet chief pledged to the Prime Minister to do so, but did not keep his commitment.”

On Monday morning, Ben-Gvir demanded that a criminal investigation be opened against Bar, writing on X: “Ronen Bar is a criminal and a liar, who is now trying to deny his attempt to conspire against elected officials in a democratic country, even after the documents were revealed to the public and the world. I will not be satisfied with his dismissal, he must face criminal charges for attempting a coup and attempting to overthrow democracy.”

Otzma Yehudit MK Limor Son Har Melech stated: “Now it is clear where the Shin Bet was – instead of focusing on the war on terror and protecting the security of Israeli citizens, it invested resources in the political persecution of elected officials and the persecution of Jewish settlers.

“A Shin Bet chief who conducts a political investigation against the political echelon while setting a goal in advance – to provide evidence against the government – has crossed a dangerous red line. This is not national security – this is a governmental coup under the guise of a secret organization. Ronen Bar must end his term immediately.”

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Moshe Feiglin tells of a time during the protests against the Oslo [Death] Accords. Feiglin knew that Shabbak agents (Israel's secret police) were listening to his conversations. Once, when he was speaking to a friend, a Shabbak agent suddenly interrupted them to say that he disagreed with what they were saying.

You read that right. The Shabbak agent not only made himself known during a phone tap, but began expressing his less than favorable opinion of the conversation. You simply cannot make up a story like that.

Was this some sort of strategy, say to intimidate? Or was this an example of its incompetence. It is not so clear.

When we have to ask ourselves questions like this, it seems that the Shabbak has accomplished one of its objectives, keeping the wool pulled over our eyes.

In 2001, I moved to the town of Ofra (Josh. 18:23; I Sam. 13:17), and learned of the popular manner in which to answer the phone, "Shabbak Shalom."

If this phone greeting did not originate, due to the infamous interruption by the Shabbak agent during Moshe Feiglin's phone conversation in the 1990s, then even residents of the mainstream, predominantly mamalakhti  (diehard State loyalist) town of Ofra had been very much aware of the possibility that the Shabbak could be listening in on their phone calls.

According to the YWN report, the Shabbak is here to protect us from Jewish extremism. 

What the YNET report in Hebrew includes above, and the YWN report does not, is a definition of "Kahaneism:"

Kahaneism is a political-religious ideology based on the teachings of Rabbi Meir Kahane [hy"d]. It advocates extreme Jewish nationalism and strives for the establishment of a halakhic state in the Land of Israel, while supporting complete separation between Jews and Arabs, opposing intermarriage, and calling for the transfer of the Arab population from Israel. Because of this, Kahane's "Kach" movement was disqualified from running for the Knesset in 1988. His ideas, as also noted in the Shabbak's response, continue to influence circles on the far right.

I do not entirely agree with the above definition of Kahaneism. But I also do not believe it to be so important. Instead, I suggest that whenever you see or hear the term "Kahaneism" bandied around, replace it with the word "Torah." This is what concerns the Shabbak, and the powers that be they answer to, Torah.

What the Shabbak sees as extremism, fully Torah-observant Jews see as the Torah touching all aspects of our lives, and not just Sabbath and dietary laws. It also instructs on how to run a truly, Jewish government, how run a truly, Jewish military, how to interact with non-Jews during peace, and during war, and many more aspects of our daily lives.

[Real] Settlers, Haredim (ultra-orthodox) envision a governance based on Torah for the future of the Land and People of Israel. Even religious mamalakhtim believe that the State will be radically revamped once Mashi'ah (the Messiah) arrives.

למה עכשיו ולא לפני 20 שנים?

ישראל כל כך מפחד מהאפשרות לעצבן את ארה״ב שהיא צריכה לחכות להזדנמות כזו? תירוץ כזה?

ומה הקשר בין עונש על ידי הערבים ומארה״ב לעונש על ידי ממשלת ישראלֹ? אםהתיישבות היהודית ביהודה ושומרון לא נתונה לאיומי טרור פלסטיניים חמורים וננקטות סנקציות בינלאומיות מוצדקות נגד מתיישבים - אז כן ראוי שמדינת ישראל תפעיל צעד חמור מסוג זה נגד אנשי ההתיישבות?

זה לא הגיוני. יש חלק הסיפור שלא מגלים לנו.

השר כ"ץ הודיע השבוע על המהלך לראש השב"כ רונן בר, וביקש ממנו להציב כלים אלטרנטיביים במקום.

איזה כלים אלטרנטיביים?

"במידה ויהיה חשד לביצוע מעשים פליליים, ניתן יהיה להעמיד את המבצעים לדין, ובמידה ולא, ישנם צעדי מניעה אחרים בהם ניתן לנקוט שלא במסגרת מעצר מנהלי. אני מגנה כל תופעת אלימות נגד פלסטינים ונטילת החוק לידיים ופונה גם להנהגת ההתיישבות לנקוט עמדה פומבית דומה ולהביע עמדה חד משמעית בנושא.

חשד: אפשר לפרש את זה איך רוצים.

איזה צעדי מניעה אחרים? 

בן גביר: "בשורה חשובה ואדירה".

בן גביר: הוא סומך על כ״ץ יותר ממני. אמי ממליץ לו להזהר.

שר האוצר והשר במשרד הביטחון בצלאל סמוטריץ' הצטרף לברכות לשר כ"ץ: "בהחלטתו ביטל השר כ"ץ אפליה ארוכת שנים נגד מתיישבי יהודה ושומרון ושם קץ לעוול במסגרתו המתיישבים היו אזרחים סוג ב' והופעלו כלפיהם אמצעים דרקונים ולא דמוקרטיים שרמסו את זכויותיהם, אמצעים שלא מופעלים כנגד אף אוכלוסייה אחרת במדינת ישראל מלבד מחבלים ואויבים מסוכנים".

למרות שסמוטריץ׳ צודק כשהוא אומר ״אמצעים שלא מופעלים כנגד אף אוכלוסייה אחרת במדינת ישראל״ אם באמת חושב שפתאום המתנחלים יפסיקו להיות אזרחים סוג ב' אז שר האוצר טועה.

סמוטריץ' הוסיף: "המתיישבים הם אזרחים שומרי חוק המתנגדים לכל סוג של אלימות או נטילת החוק לידיים, ואולם ככל שישנן תופעות פסולות כאלה חלילה הן אמורות להיות מטופלות על-ידי המשטרה ומערכת המשפט בהתאם לסדרי הדין ודיני הראיות של הדין הפלילי, בדיוק כמו כלפי כל אזרח או אוכלוסייה אחרת".

סמוטריץ׳ גר בישוב שנמצא צד גדר הביטחון של ים התיכון. יש מתנחלים ויש מתנחלים. המבין יבין. 

שר התקשורת שלמה קרעי אמר: "עוד חרפה של הנטע הזר שהסתנן לליכוד שהיינו צריכים להסיר. האדון גלנט, וקודמיו מ'הימין' בנט וליברמן, לא השכילו להבחין בין אוהב לאויב. אנחנו בליכוד לא נעבוד יותר אצל האנרכיסטים והיועמ"שית ולא נאפשר אפליה ופגיעה במתיישבים יהודים. יבוטלו כל הצווים המנהליים כלפי מתיישבים יהודים לאלתר".

לא לשכוח ששר התקשורת שלמה קרעי הציע להגביל חופש הביטוי בארץ בכלל המלחמה.

ח"כ צבי סוכות (הציונות הדתית) אמר: "מברך את שר הביטחון הנכנס ישראל כ"ץ על החלטה צודקת מאין כמוה. המתיישבים ביהודה ושומרון אינם אזרחים סוג ב', ופרקטיקות המיועדות למלחמה באויב אמורות לשמש אך ורק למלחמה באויב!".

אני זוכר כשח״כ סוכות נעצר ואז השתחרר בחשד שהוא שרף מסגד בכפר יאסוף שנמצא צמוד לכפר תפוח שבשומרון. ואז אני מבין את התגובה שלו.

הכתבה הזו ממשיכה ברשימת התלונות של אירגון שמאלני "תג מאיר״. האירגון הזה מאמין שקיים מה שנקרא טרור יהודי. ליהודי נורמלי רשימת התלונות הזו נראית כבשורות טובות:

• עיכובים בביצוע פינויים של מאחזים בלתי-חוקיים שאושרו במסלול ביטחוני.
• מנהלת ההסדרה שאותה הקים השר סמוטריץ' משכה לעצמה את סמכויות האכיפה של מאחזים בלתי-חוקיים ואי אפשר להרוס מבנים בלי אישור שלה, למעט השימוש בכלי של "צורך ביטחוני", שלא דורש את אישורה אלא עובר במסלול צבאי. 
• השאיפה של סמוטריץ' ובן גביר תהיה להשפיע גם במסלול הביטחוני ולייצר בלמים בעניין מטעמו של שר הביטחון. 
• השר סמוטריץ' ונציגי המתנחלים מקווים לקדם את חזונם גם אל מול השר כ"ץ.
• לא ברור אם שר הביטחון החדש מוכן להטיל צווי מעצר מנהליים, לבצע פינוי מאחזים בלתי חוקיים מסיבות ביטחוניות, מתי לסגור או לפתוח של מעברים לפלסטינים לערבים, או איך הוא ינהל מדיניות של מקלות וגזרים מול הפלסטינים הערבים.

ועכשיו הגיע הזמן לזכור שארה״ב ממיכה מתעסקת בעניינים שלנו...

...מאחורי הקלעים: שני פקידים אמריקאים אמרו שהחלטתו של כץ מגבירה מאוד את המתיחות בין ממשל ביידן לישראל.

• עם זאת, הם מודים כי עם כניסתו של הנשיא טראמפ לתפקיד בעוד פחות מחודשיים, אין מעט שהממשל היוצא יכול לעשות מלבד להביע מחאה בפרטיות ובפומבי.
• פקיד אמריקני אחד אמר כי החלטתו של כץ להפסיק להשתמש בצווי מעצר מינהליים נגד מתנחלים אלימים היא "מוטעית מאוד".
• הפקיד הוסיף כי מעצר מנהלי הוא הדבר היחיד שאפשר לממשל ביידן לטעון שישראל עושה משהו כדי למנוע אלימות מתנחלים. "עכשיו אנחנו לא יכולים לעשות את זה יותר", אמר הפקיד האמריקני.

מה הם אומרים: שני פקידים אמריקאים אמרו שממשל ביידן מצפה מישראל לאכוף את החוק באופן שווה נגד יהודים ופלסטינים בגדה המערבית.

• לדבריהם, ארה"ב מצפה שצוי מעצר מנהליים לא ישמשו נגד פלסטינים בגדה המערבית ושכל החשודים בטרור - יהודים ופלסטינים כאחד - ייעצרו ויועמדו לדין על פי אותם אמות מידה.

כל זה מעלה את השאלה, האם ממשלת ישראל באמת מאמינה שהנשיא הנכנס טראמפ ייתן לה לעשות את מה שהיא רוצה בתוך גבולותיה הריבוניים כביכול חופשית? אם אנשי הממשלה באמת מאמינים בזה, אז הם חיים בסרט.

טראמפ כבר מקבל את הדרישה שלו שישראל תסיים בעזה לפני כניסתו לתפקיד (ב-20.01.2025). יש גם טענות שהוא תומך בריבונות של ישראל ביהודה ושומרון. בלי קשר למה שהוא אומר, או לא אומר, אנשי הסברה הימניים כביכול הם מסונוורים מהאקסטזה בת 26 יום - עד כה - על ניצחונו בבחירות. אין ספק שכל סיפוח יהיה בתנאים של טראמפ. ברורים מאוד ב"עסקת המאה" שלו ציפיותיו ממדינת ישראל הריבונית כביכול.

וגם עלינו לצפות דרך הרבה יותר קלה עבור האוונגליסטים ו"חברים" נוצרים אחרים של ישראל להכנס למדינה ואפילו להשאר כמה שרוצים. טראמפ חייב לשלם לתומכיו הנוצרים השמרנים איכשהו על שסובלנותם את גישתו "האוהל הגדול", שהוא היה מוכן לקבל את כולם כולל החולקים מהנוצרים בכמה עניינים.

בקיצור כץ אינו הבובה היחידה בממשלת ישראל.

לא לסמוך על הביטול של מעצר מנהלי.

האם אתם זוכרים שכ״ץ אחד הח״כים מהליכוד שהצביעו בעד תכנית ההתנתקות גירוש היהודים מעזה בשנת תשס״ה/2005.

Bibi fired defense minister Gallant and replaced him with sock puppet Katz. Absolutely nothing has changed. If anything, Israel became softer. Are we ready to admit that Bibi is, and always has been, the problem, or do we need a couple hundred more Israelis to die for this?

Why now? Why not 20 years go?

Israel is so afraid of upsetting the American government, that is needs to wait for the right opportunity? For the right excuse?

What do threats of violence from Palestinians Arabs and sanctions by the U. S. government have to do with administrative detention by the Israeli government? If the Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria was not subject to serious Palestinian Arab terrorist threats and international sanctions were not being taken against settlers - then it would be appropriate for the State of Israel to take such a severe step against settlers?

This does not make sense. There is a part of the story that we are not being told. For example, exactly which "alternative measures" is Katz referring to?

"If suspicion of criminal acts arises, the perpetrators can be prosecuted. If not, there are other preventive measures that can be taken without resorting to administrative detention. I condemn any violence against Palestinians or acts of vigilante justice and call on settlement leadership to take a similar public stance and unequivocally denounce such actions,” he added.”

"Suspicion" can be defined anyway the government, and especially the court, wants to define it

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir praised the decision, saying, "I commend my colleague, Minister Israel Katz, for this significant and important announcement. His decision to stop issuing administrative orders against settlers in the West Bank corrects years of injustice and honors those who love this land."

Minister Ben-Gvir trusts Minster Katz more than I do. I highly recommend caution

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also lauded the decision: "With this decision, Minister Katz has ended years of discrimination against West Bank settlers and rectified a long-standing injustice.”

Minister Smotrich lives on the side of the so-called security fence facing the west and the Mediterranean Sea...

“Settlers were treated as second-class citizens, subjected to draconian and undemocratic measures that trampled their rights — measures not applied to any other population in Israel except dangerous enemies and terrorists,” he added.

He is right about one thing. Settlers have been treated differentially. However, there are also settlers, and then there are settlers. Not all settlers are treated equally.

There are a few additional takes on the new policy from MKs mentioned in the Hebrew version above.

Communications Minister Shlomo Kari said: "Another disgrace of the foreign plant that infiltrated the Likud that we had to remove. Mr. Galant, and his predecessors from the 'right' Bennett and Lieberman, did not know how to distinguish between a friend and an enemy. We in the Likud will no longer work for the anarchists and the Ombudsman and will not allow discrimination and harm to Jewish settlers. All administrative orders against Jewish settlers will be canceled immediately."

Let us not forget that it was Communications Minister Shlomo Kari who proposed restricting freedom of expression during the war.

MK Zvi Sukkot (Religious Zionism) said: "I congratulate the incoming Defense Minister Yisrael Katz on an incomparably just decision. The settlers in Judea and Samaria are not second-class citizens, and practices intended for war against the enemy should be used exclusively for war against the enemy!"

I remember when MK Sukkot was arrested and then released on suspicion of burning down a mosque in the village of Yassuf, adjacent to K'far Tapu'ah in Samaria. So I understand his reaction.

The article in Hebrew continues with a list of complaints from the leftist organization "Tag Meir." This organization believes that there is something called "Jewish terrorism." To a normal Jew, this list of complaints actually looks like good news:

• Delays in carrying out evacuations of illegal outposts that were approved through a security track.
• The director of the settlement that Minister Smotrich established has taken over the enforcement powers of illegal outposts and it is not possible to demolish buildings without her approval, except for the use of the tool of "security necessity," which does not require her approval but rather goes through a military track.
• Smotrich and Ben Gvir's ambitions will be to influence the security track, as well and to put brakes on the matter on behalf of the Minister of Defense.
• Minister Smotrich and the settlers' representatives hope to advance their vision, along with Minister Katz.
• It is unclear whether the new Defense Minister is willing to impose administrative arrest warrants, evacuate illegal outposts for security reasons, when he would close or open crossings for Palestinians, or how he will manage a policy of sticks and carrots with with them.

This brings us to the U. S. sticking its nose into Israel's business, per usual.

Axios: U.S. warns Israel against dropping detention of settlers in occupied West Bank

...Behind the scenes: Two U.S. officials said Katz's decision greatly increases tensions between the Biden administration and Israel.

• However, they acknowledge that with President Trump taking office in less than two months, there is little the outgoing administration can do other than express protest in private and in public.
• One U.S. official said Katz's decision to stop using administrative detention orders against violent settlers is "deeply misguided."
• The official added that administrative detention was the only thing that allowed the Biden administration to claim Israel was doing something to prevent settler violence. "Now we can't do that anymore," the U.S. official said.

What they're saying: Two U.S. officials said the Biden administration expects Israel to enforce the law equally against Jews and Palestinians in the West Bank.

• They said the U.S. expects that administrative detention orders will not be used against Palestinians in the West Bank and that all terror suspects — both Jews and Palestinians — will be arrested and prosecuted according to the same standards.

This begs the question, does the Israeli Government really believe that incoming President Trump will give it free rein to do what it wants within its own, supposedly sovereign, borders? If the government really believes that, then it is delusional.

Trump is already having his expectation fulfilled that Israel finish up in Gaza before he takes office. There  are also claims that he supports for Israel to annex Judea and Samaria. Regardless of what he has, or has not said, the quasi-right-wing, Jewish hasbarites (Israel PR mavens) are blinded by their 26-day -- so far --  old ecstasy over his election victory. Any annexation, no doubt, be on his terms, just like his "Deal of the Century" was very clear about his expectations of the supposedly sovereign State of Israel.

We should expect a much easier path of entry for Evangelicals and other Christian "friends" of Israel. Trump has to pay back his conservative Christian friends somehow for tolerating his truly Libertarian "big tent" approach to the Republican Party.

Katz is not the only puppet in the Israeli Government.

I wouldn't trust Katz's cancellation of administrative detention for settlers.

Have you forgotten? Katz was one of the Likud MKs who voted for the 2005/תשס״ה expulsion of Jews from Gaza in the first place.

התלבטות.

1. אין ספק שמספר התלונות חרדים יעלה לא יירד בגלל האירע הזה. יטענו שחרדים ממשיכים להמנע מלשרת בצה"ל ושהגיוס הזה פשוט סמלי. החיילים של הערב רב יצפו למאמצים קיצוניים לחילון החרדים בלילה אחד. כל מה שפחות מזה נחשב להתנגדות חרדית להתבוללות בתרבות המדינה החילונית או דתית קלה. שום דבר לא יהיה מספיק להם, לא פחות מ-100 אחוז גיוס, בעוד שרבים מהילדים שלהם מקבלים פטורים משירות צבאית.
2. יש חשש שיתיחסו לחיילים הצעירים החרדים הללו כחיילים חד-פעמיים, כלומר כמו בוגרי המכינות לפני שירות צבאי שיצאו להלחם במלחמה בדרום לבנון ובעוד מקומות ואז הפכו להיות מטרות קלות לתותחי אויבינו. החיילים האלה עברו בהצלחה את שטיפת המוח למטרה להאמין שנפילה למען מדינת ישראל היא באותה רמה של נפילה למען התורה, הארץ ועם ישראל.
3. יש חרדים שיכולים וצריכים להתגייס למטרת להשפיע לחיילים באופן תורני.
4. חרדים אחרים צריכים לבקש לעשות שירות לאומי. לפני התחלת השירות הם צריכים לקבל הדרכה ולהמשיך לקבל הדרכה במהלך השירות שלהם בכדי להגן עליהם מלהשתפע על ידי עניינים לא תמתאימים שהם נתקלים בהם. כמובן, אפשר שהם לא יתקבלו לשירות לאומי אלא יאשימו אותם שעושים קומבינה כדי להתחמק משירות צבאי.
5. לפחות ליחידה הזו יש שם מגניב: אבנט שהיא סוג חגורה. הכהנים לובשים באבנטים בשירותם בהר הבית (שמות כח,ד; כט,ט; לט;כט...).

חשוב לזכור שגיוס חרדים מעולם לא היה קשר לגיוס חרדים אלא הוא חלק התכנית להסיר השפעת התורה מארץ ישראל.

Making history!

This morning I participated in a particularly exciting ceremony, on the occasion of the completion of the training of the Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) company "Avnet" for the first time in the Israel Defense Forces [IDF]. A project we have been working on for a long time at the Ministry of National Security, together with the IDF Border Patrol Commander Maj. Gen. Barik Yitzhak, the "Netzah Yehudah" association, and the director of Haredim in the IDF - 31 Haredim have been trained today and will be full-fledged fighters around Jerusalem. 

My policy is to train and integrate as many Haredim as possible into the police and national security bodies, I am happy about that and wish them great success!

It is possible!

Mixed feelings.

1. No doubt the number of complaints against Haredim avoiding IDF service will not fall, but rise. The pawns of the Erev Rav will expect radical efforts to secularize Haredim overnight. Anything less ill considered Haredi resistance to assimilation into a secular or religious "light" State. Nothing will good enough for them, nothing less than a 100 percent conscription rate, while many of their own children obtain exemptions.
2. There are concerns that these young men will be seen as disposable, like the indoctrinated, young graduates of mechinot programs (pre-IDF service yeshivas) became canon fodder in Southern Lebanon, and elsewhere, brainwashed into believing that dying for the State is somehow the same as dying for the Torah, Land, and People of Israel.
3. Some Haredim can, and should enlist, for the purposes of bringing a Torah influence to fellow soldiers.
4. Other Haredim should participate in a mass application to sherut leumi (national service). Preparation before applying and regular checkins during their service should with rabbis would be a must, to help them avoid the shmutz (inappropriate material and concepts) they encounter. Of course, they may be rejected, and be accused of using system against itself to dodge the draft.
5. At least this unit has a cool name. An avnet (אבנט) is the sash of the kohen (priest) (Ex. 28:4, 29:9, 39:29...).

Remember. The Haredi Draft issue has never been about the Haredi Draft. It's just part of the plan to de-Judaize Israel.

הבוקר פרסמה מפלגת עוצמה יהודית בראשות השר איתמר בן גביר מודעה נגד ראש השב"כ רונן בר, שבה נכתב בין היתר כי מי שנכשל ב-7 באוקטובר "מוביל לאסון נוסף", כשהכוונה לעסקת החטופים. שר הביטחון יואב גלנט תקף בצהריים (ראשון) את בן גביר בישיבת הממשלה הסגורה ואמר: "הזדעזעתי הבוקר לפתוח את העיתון ולראות שאתה משתמש בכספי מדינה לתקוף את ראש השב"כ". שר החינוך יואב קיש הוסיף: "זו שערורייה, זה לא במקום. במיוחד לא בזמן מלחמה".

בן גביר השיב לטענות נגדו: "לראש השב"כ מותר לתקוף שר בממשלה?", והשרה גילה גמליאל העירה: "לא יכול להיות שתוקפים את ראש השב"כ בזמן מלחמה". מי שגיבה את השר בן גביר הוא שר התקשורת שלמה קרעי, מהליכוד: "לעשות מסיבה ולטפוח האחד לשני על השכם זה כן בסדר?", וגלנט עקץ: "אני רואה שכל חברי המפלגה של בן גביר תוקפים אותי".

בדיון התייחס תחילה גלנט ללחימה בצפון, ואמר כי תהיה "הסדרה או מלחמה, אבל בכל מקרה בסוף תהיה הסדרה". בן גביר תקף בתגובה את שר הביטחון: "הרעיון שאחרי מלחמה הם לא יוכלו להשיב - אבל אתה נעול על הסדרה, לא מבין שאתה פוגע בתושבי הצפון".

אז השיב גלנט בביקורת ואמר כי הוא הזדעזע מכך שהוא תוקף את ראש השב"כ מכספי מימון מפלגות. "למה לראש השב"כ מותר לתקוף שרים, לצאת נגד מדיניות הממשלה, לפרסם מכתבים נגד ראש הממשלה ולי אסור להטיח בו ביקורת?", השיב השר לביטחון לאומי. השר קרעי תקף כאמור גם כן: "להם מותר לממן מסיבה של 1,500 איש של חליוה?".

"הבעיה שאתה כבר לא חבר בליכוד ולא מבין שדין אחד לצפון ודין אחד לתל אביב", אמר בן גביר לגלנט, "אתה מבין מה קורה בקריית שמונה, אתה מתעלם מכך שחיזבאללה חוצה את הקווים האדומים, עובר את כל הגבולות ושר הביטחון שלנו מדבר על הסדרה"...

...נתניהו השיב: "אני מסכים שגם אם רוצים לומר ביקורת יש דרך לומר אותה. ואני מבקש לומר לשרים: 'איזה הוא גיבור? הכובש את ביקורתו'. זה יום שהיינו צריכים כולנו להיות מאוחדים כאיש אחד. האויב רואה בפילוג בינינו קורי עכביש מפוררים. אנחנו חייבים להראות לו שאנחנו מאוחדים כאיש אחד כאגרוף כנגד הרוע".

• נתניהו מחכה בשקט ובסבלנות ואז מחלק ושולט. ועוד דבר, אי אפשר להתווכח על ״...יש דרך לומר אותה״. הגיוני נכון? והוא מצליח להעליב גם את בן-גביר וגם בר וגם גלנט באותו רגע. בוא נגיד שעדיין יש לו את זה.

במודעה שפרסמה עוצמה יהודית בעיתונים הבוקר נכתב כי "רונן בר נכשל ב-7.10 ומוביל את ישראל לאסון נוסף. אומרים לא לעסקה מופקרת".

בעקבות המתקפות עליו, 169 בכירים לשעבר במערכת הביטחון, שחברים בפורום "חומת מגן", פנו היום במכתב לראש השב"כ ואמרו לו כי הם מבקשים לחזק את ידו מול המתקפות של בן גביר. "שירות הביטחון הכללי בראשותך מתמודד באחרונה עם אתגרים רבים ובראשם המלחמה בטרור", כתבו. "לצערנו לאחרונה נדרש השירות להתמודד גם עם הטרור היהודי. אנו מבקשים לחזק את ידיך ואת כל עובדי השב"כ מול המתקפות הפרועות והגסות של שרים שלצערנו מורשתם הכהניסטית נותנת את אותותיה בהחלטות ממשלת ישראל. במיוחד כעת כשהשב"כ, צה"ל, המוסד ושאר ארגוני הביטחון, עסוקים בלחימה יומיומית".

במכתבם התייחסו הבכירים, בהם רמטכ"ל, מפכ"לים, ראשי שב"כ ומוסד לשעבר למודעה שפורסמה. "היום אנשי השב"כ התעוררו למודעת הכפשה נגדם הממומנת מכספי ציבור. אנו קובעים כי הניסיונות להחליש את מערכת הביטחון ולהפחיד את ראשיה מלהביע עמדה מקצועית, יפוררו את ישראל ויפגעו בביטחונה". לדבריהם, "ריקון המשטרה מיכולת תפקוד לאור ערכים ממלכתיים והפגיעה האנושה בתפקודה הם תוצאה ישירה של מסע ההסתה וההפחדה של השר בן גביר הממונה עליה ומינויים בוטים 'מטעם' ומשמעותם סיכון מיידי של ביטחון המדינה ושל יכולתה לפעול כמדינת חוק דמוקרטית".

• כל פעם שח״כ או מישהו קישור לממשלה אומר את המילה ״דמוקרטית״ אנו חייבים לצחוק. אין להם מושג מה זאת דמוקרטיה. כל שמיניסט בארה״ב שלומד מידע פוליטי וכלכלה בכיתה י״ב יודע יותר על דמוקרטיה למעשה יותר מח״כים. או אולי הם כן יודעים על דמוקרטיה ופשוט מעוותים את העניין.

היחסים בין בן גביר לבר הפכו מתוחים מתמיד בשבוע האחרון, לאחר שבישיבת הקבינט המדיני-ביטחוני בשבוע שעבר נטש השר לביטחון לאומי את הדיון בזעם - במחאה על מכתב של ראש השב"כ רונן בר, שפורסם בחדשות קשת. במכתב, שבו הזהיר בר מפני "הטרור היהודי" שמסכן את ביטחון המדינה ואת עצם קיומה, הוא גם מתח ביקורת חריפה על בן גביר ועל הפרת הסטטוס-קוו בהר הבית.

• בר מדבר על הסכנה למדינה ועצם קיומה, ולא על הסכנה לעם ישראל או לארץ ישראל. הוא מדבר על פעילויות המתנחלים להגן על עצמם כ״טרור יהודי״. נראה שמבחינתו, כל דבר ש באמת קשור בתורה איום הקיומי על המדינה.
• הממשלה הכשילה את אותם מתנחלים, נאמנים לתורה על פני המדינה, פעם אחר פעם. מצמצמת חיילי צה"ל מיהודה ושומרון בתירוץ הנחוץ להם בעזה. למתנחלים הממלכתיים -- הילדים טובים שמתנגים יפה -- אין הרבה בעיות בביטחון. לא כדאי לאף אחד להתפלא.
• להיות ממותגים כ"טרוריסטים" על כך שהם מגנים על עצמם, כאשר הממשלה לא יכולה או לא רוצה להגן עליהם, ובזמן שרבים מהם משרתים בעזה ומגנים על המדינה כולה, הוא אחד הדברים הגרועים ביותר שממשלת ישראל עשתה אי פעם.
• אירועי הרצח של אלטלנה היו רעים, אבל המדינה עדיין לא הייתה מדינה.
• "טרוריסטים" האלה אפילו מוסרים את חייהם כדי להגן על האליטה חילונית ששונאת אותם.
(כבר היינו צריכים ללמוד את הלקח שלנו ממלחמת לבנון בפיקודו של אהוד ברק.)
• בינתיים הממשלה מקפידה להמנע מלפגוע ב"אזרחים [הלא כל כך] התמימים" בעזה שנמצאו מחזיקים בני ערובה ישראלים, מחשש לעונש מהקהילה הבינלאומית. לא לדאג. אנו נענש על ידיהם בכל מקרה.
• מי שמציע אסטרטגיה שונה מהגנת האזרחים בעשה, שיכלה להציל חיים של אינספור חיילי צה"ל, הוא מסתכן בהאשמתו בעבירת הסתה, ואז יורשע וייענש.

לפי הדיווח, בר טען כי התקדמות בכיוון של בן גביר "תוביל לשפיכות דמים רבה ותשנה ללא היכר את פניה של מדינת ישראל", והדגיש: "נדרש מאמץ בין-משרדי למיגור התופעה. אני משוכנע שזה צריך להיות אחד היעדים המרכזיים של הממשלה. מוקדם לפני שיהיה מאוחר מדי. תופעה זו מייצרת סיכון משמעותי ביותר לביטחון האזור". כמו כן, הזהיר מפני "פיגועי נקם".

בן גביר, מצידו, אמר בקבינט כי בר אחראי על מחדל 7 באוקטובר, תקף את מכתבו - והטיח כי הוא "נכנע לחמאס בהר הבית". הוא דרש לפטר את ראש השב"כ, בעוד שנתניהו ויתר השרים הגנו עליו וגיבו אותו.

למרות שאני מוכן לקבל ביקורות השונות על השר לביטחון פנים איתמר בן גביר, כולל זו של יונתן פולארד, אולי בכל זאת הוא לא עושה עבודה כל כך גרועה כמו שחשבו. הוא בהחלט מעצבנים את האנשים הנכונים.

Ha'aretz: Ben-Gvir Runs Ad Against Shin Bet Chief for 'Failing on October 7' in Israeli Newspapers
The ad, which includes the logo of Ben-Gvir's Otzma Yehudit party and a photo of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, claims Bar 'failed on October 7 and is leading Israel to another disaster,' adding 'Say no to a reckless deal.' The Prime Minister's Office has yet to respond

Far-right party Otzma Yehudit published a paid ad in Israeli newspapers on Sunday morning against a hostage deal with Hamas and against Shin Bet security service chief Ronen Bar.

The ad, which includes Otzma Yehudit's logo and portrays Bar's picture, states: "Ronen Bar failed on October 7 and is leading Israel to another disaster. Say no to a reckless deal."

Bar issued a public warning three days ago, claiming that Jewish terror is posing an existential threat to Israel. In a letter sent to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, cabinet ministers and the attorney general, Bar warned that the leaders of the Jewish terrorists "want to cause the system to lose control, causing indescribable damage to Israel."

• When Bar says "Israel," I am certain that he means "the State of Israel," and not the "People of Israel" nor the "Land of Israel." To him, anything Torah-related, that is truly Torah-related, is probably his existential threat to the State. The YNET piece in Hebrew above, in which he says "State," instead of "Israel," confirms this.
• The government has failed those settlers, loyal to Torah over State, time and time again. Removing IDF resources from Judea and Samaria with the excuse they are needed in Gaza, while the "well-behaved," mamlakhti (diehard State loyalist) settlers do not appear to be having too many issues, should come as no surprise to anyone.
• Being branded as "terrorists" for defending themselves, when the government cannot or will not defend them, and while many of them are serving in Gaza defending the entire State, is one of the worst things the Israeli government has ever done.
• The Altalena incident murders were horrible, but the State was not a State yet.
• These "terrorists" have even been giving their lives to defend those secular elitists who hate them.
(We should have already learned our lesson from the Lebanon War under Ehud Barak.)
• Meanwhile the government has been careful not to harm the not so "innocent civilians" of Gaza (who were found holding Israeli hostages), fearing retribution from the international community, retribution which we are bound to receive anyway.
• Anyone who suggests a different strategy than this one, that could have saved countless lives of IDF soldiers, risks being accused of the crime of incitement, convicted and punished.

Bar added that police incompetence and "perhaps a sense of hidden support" for these acts are increasing considerably, reflected in "the significant expansion" of those taking part in these acts.

He noted that the perpetrators of Jewish terror have lost all fear of administrative detention "due to the conditions they get in prison and the funds they receive after their release from Knesset members as well as legitimacy and praise, alongside a delegitimization campaign against the defense officials." All these give a tailwind to the Jewish terrorism, Bar argued.

On Friday, Ben-Gvir issued a statement to the media attacking Bar and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant in wake of the arrest of four settlers suspected of committing "terrorist acts against Palestinians."

"The captains of the failure, Ronen Bar and [Defense Minister Yoav] Gallant, the father of the [pre-Oct. 7] misconception, continue to harass patriots," he wrote.

"The head of the Shin Bet, who sent 'an emergency letter' should have received a letter of dismissal by October 8. The ongoing failure is his and the defense minister's behavior should end, the sooner, the better," Ben-Gvir added.

The Prime Minister's Office has yet to respond to a Haaretz request for a comment on Otzma Yehudit's ad.

• Actually, in the YNET report in Hebrew found above, Netanyahu mentions how "there is a way to issue criticism," implying that he does not approve of the way Ben-Gvir went about criticizing Shabbak Chief Ronen Bar. Netanyahu waits quietly and patiently and then divides and conquers. We cannot even argue with his logic, can we? He also manages to put both Ben-Gvir, Bar, and Galant in their place, all in one shot. Let's just say that, like him or not, Netanyahu has still got it.
• The YNET report also mentions "threats" to democracy. Every time MK or someone linked to the government says the word "democratic" we have to laugh. They have no idea what democracy is. Every 12th-grader in the U. S. who is required to take "civics" knows more about democracy than any MK. Or perhaps MKs do know about democracy, but simply distort it for their own gain. The only threat to Israel's fleeting democracy is its own Supreme Court.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid said in response that "Only an unstable clown like Ben-Gvir is capable in the middle of the war, while residents in the north are in shelters and soldiers are getting killed, of paying for an ad attacking the head of the Shin Bet who is a patriot and a real fighter like Ben-Gvir never was and never will be."

Yesh Atid lawmaker Meirav Ben Ari took to X, slamming Ben-Gvir. "In the middle of a war, the national failure minister pays for an ad attacking the Shin Bet chief. There has never been, and never will be, such a pathetic and incompetent cabinet minister in Israeli history," she wrote.

Sure, Ha'aretz is biased... very biased. But in my experience, it pays to pay attention to the tripe it puts out once in a while. Sometimes, it can even backfire on itself. And that is well worth it to that, when it happens.

It also happens to be the first version in English, reporting on the same internal, government fighting as the YNET piece in Hebrew above.

Although I appreciate the various criticism of Internal Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, including that of Yonatan Pollard, maybe he is no doing such a bad job after all. He has definitely hit some nerves.

• Ben-Gvir: There is no status quo. Wakf, Palestinians trampled it that. Jews have every right to pray on the Temple Mount.
• Ben-Gvir says a synagogue should be built on the Temple Mount.
• Ben-Gvir dares to criticize the head of the Shabbak (Internal Security Service).
• Members of Government criticize Ben-Gvir using party funds to criticize the head of the Shabbak, while a party for outgoing IDF Intelligence Chief Aharon Halivah and 1,500 people is funded by the government itself. 
• Herzog: no place for Kahanism needs to be removed from government.

The double standards Ben-Gvir is continually up against -- the double standards that WE are continually up against -- the doesn't seem to be any end to them.

לגבי ביקורתו של פולארד לשר לביטחון פנים, איתמר בן-גביר, ברצוני לדעת אם הוא ניסה ליצור איתו קשר לפני ששידר את תלונותיו ברשתות החברתיות. ואם מניחים שכן, אז אשמח לדעת את הפרטים של השיחה. עד אז, אני לא חושב שאנחנו יכולים לדעת את הסיפור המלא והפרטים הדרושים כדי להחליט את מי להאשם.

I posted this video, along with highlights, as I believe it to contain important information regarding the State of Israel's [in-] justice and prison systems.

Also, when I searched in English for recent news regarding the falsely accused, religious young man, Amiram Ben Uliel, I could not find anything, thus the need to publicize his horrendous treatment at the hands of the prison service.

There is only one thing that needs to be emphasized, and only one thing that needs to be added, to the words of Yonatan Pollard or Rabbi David Bar-Hayim.

Amiram Ben Uliel is not the first, nor will he be the last of many Torah-observant Jews to be tortured in Israel's law enforcement system. Torah-observant Jews who have the audacity to believe that The Almighy and His Holy Torah have greater authority than the Israeli Government and its dictatorial High Court seem to be viewed by the secular authorities, and by their lackey rabbis, as their greatest existential threat.

Regarding Pollard's calling out of Internal Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir (pictured above), I would like to know if he attempted to contact him before airing his grievances on social media. If we give Pollard that benefit of the doubt, and assume that he did attempt to contact Ben-Gvir, then I would love to know the details of that conversation. Until then, I do not think that we can know the full story and details needed to determine blame.
