Israel's Green Passport: A Sign of a Future Globalist Passport?

English follows the Hebrew.

TravelMedia.com: The World may soon re-open again for Green Passport Holders
Juergen Steinmetz, Dec 14, 2020

Israel is working on a green passport. This passport will indicate, the holder was vaccinated against COVID-19, and of course, it may have any color.

The passport will avoid quarantine for the holder and give access to cultural events, restaurants.

The green passport would also enable travelers to fly aboard without having to first get a virus test, as is the current requirement.

The passport would be issued two weeks after the holder received his or her second injection of the vaccine.

There will be some form of similar international vaccination card that may offer advantages to vaccinated Israelis who travel abroad.

The green passport is hoped to provide strong motivation, along with the likelihood that some countries will not allow Israelis to visit unless they can show that they have been immunized against COVID-19, the report said, citing government officials.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the top official overseeing the government’s pandemic response on Sunday said the start of Israel’s vaccination drive would be moved up from its target date of December 27, with Hebrew media reports saying it would begin next Sunday.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
I have already written about Israel's Green Passport, the apparent rewards for possessing one, and the potential restrictions on those who do not. One of those restrictions might very well be on travel. Imagine not being allowed to travel outside of your country without a Green Passport. And what about returning to your country, even if you hold citizenship there.

Travel restrictions were what we were taught in American schools about the former Soviet Union and Communist China. Countless Israelis can also testify to personally having been prevented from leaving the Soviet Union. We referred to Jews who applied for exit visas, and were refused as "Refuseniks." Such Refuseniks included Natan Sharansky and ironically, current Minister of Health Yo'el "Yuli" Edelstein.

Israel, the so-called "only democracy in the Middle East," may be a leading force in the implementation of such restrictions.

I also mentioned possible restrictions on receiving health care services, such as physicians refusing to see patients in person, unless they hold a Green Passport.

The above report from TravelMedia.com is from over a month ago. It also presents the Green Passport in a very positive light. After all, the travel industry would certainly benefit from increased travel.

But, notice the graphic from TravelMedia.com (above). It not only looks like the prototype for a Green Passport, but also like the prototype for future Globalist Passport, one more step in Israel's assimilation into a global entity, and Israel's powers that be are leading the charge.

Avigdor Lieberman's Definition of Normal

Yoel "Yuli" Edelstein

Lieberman. Yes to a Jewish State. No to a State of Torah Law!
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Yisael Beitenu Party Chair Avigdor Liebman, I am sure that Natan Sharansky and Speaker of the Knesset Yoel "Yuli" Edelstein did not go through all of their self-sacrifice for the Jews of the former Soviet Union in order to make aliyah and speak English!! Did you create this campaign in English for the sake of new immigrants? Did you write this ad to mimic the style of U. S. President Trump's slogan?

And what exactly does "Make Israel Normal Again" mean? Jewish, but without Torah?

Photo credit: Gali Tibbon, Israel Hayom, 2014
So, then when you go to the Western Wall in full religious regalia, it is just to pander to the religious, and get every vote you can? Votes from these same religious Jews who pray three times a day for The Holy One, Blessed Be He, to bring us Mashi'ah and to return the Beth HaMiqdash (Temple) to its place?

Clearly, you do not believe in the same Israel they believe in. So that must have been just an old strategy from a previous election.

Billy Graham: No Friend to the Jews

English follows the Hebrew.

Recently deceased #BillyGraham ysh"w once said that there was no religious oppression against Soviet Jews in Russia. This was after his 1982 visit to the now defunct empire.

As you could imagine, Rabbi Kahane hy"d, the most active advocate for the oppressed and imprisoned Jews there was livid. He ended up sending in students to take over the World Council of Churches, in protest. Don't think that the Christians "turned the other cheek." They did not. These Jewish teenagers got the crap beaten out of them.

Jews suffered tremendously in the Former Soviet Union, including serving prison sentences for teaching Hebrew, Jews like Yosef Begun.

In college, I heard stories of Jewish children at Hebrew lessons, having to take turns watching through basement windows for the police.

Years later, when I moved to Israel, I confirmed this with fellow teachers who grew during that era. One in particular "Natalia" remembered all too well her turn at guard duty.

Both liberal and right-wing Jews should recall the self-sacrifice of Jewish "hero" Natan Sharansky and of the current Speaker of the Knesset Yoel "Yuli" Edelstein.

And Billy Graham completely denigrated the suffering of these Jews with one simple sentence.

Of course, with the onset of glasnost, Israel was flooded with non-Jews, taking advantage of Israel's sham Law of Return. One only had to have one Jewish grandparent, more often than not the wrong grandparent, to qualify for immigrant status.

But, I digress...

The point here is that my so-called "right-wing" brethren who praise Billy Graham have all too short memories. I am sure some will talk about he "recanted," or that he was one of Israel's greatest friends. These are the same Jews who not only praise, but encourage, the flood of Christians into Yehudah and Shomron (Judea and Samaria), and our "friends and allies" again liberals, Arabs (Yishma'el), and anything else which stares as at religious Jews, making a face at us.

This is the nature of the Christians spiritual ancestor Esau, changing and adapting their strategies in order to regain what they believe to be is their birthright. They either claim that they, too, are inheritors of The Almighty's favor, and thus the Land of Israel, as they are descendants of Abraham. Some even reject their true ancestor Esau, claiming that they are from some of the lost Tribes of Israel, and thus have a claim to to the Northern Kingdom of Israel.

Throughout history Christians persecuted us, murdered us, forcefully converted us, and then shunned us even after we converted.

But, they have long since changed, although some still want to beat us up and kill us. Their weapons are now their smiles and hugs, their wallets, and most certainly their tongues. Many have even shunned missionizing. Of course, the truth is that they have learned that temporarily setting this goal aside is more strategically efficient.

The four non-kosher, four-legged animals listed in Parashath Shemini (Lev. 11:1-8) represent the four kingdoms which have ruled over Israel. The first three, the camel, the rabbit, and the rock-badger (hyrax) are not kosher due to their limbs:
4 Nevertheless these you shall not eat of them which only chew the cud, or of them which only part the hoof: the camel, because he chews the cud but does not part not the hoof, he is unclean for you. 5 And the rock-badger, because he chews the cud but does not part the hoof, he is unclean for you. 6 And the hare, because she chews the cud but does not part the hoof, she is unclean for you.
Whereas the pig, the fourth and final kingdom of Edom (Esau), is not kosher, due to its insides:
7 And the pig, because he parts the hoof, and is cloven-footed, but does not chew the cud, he is unclean for you.
Not only that, but the pig is known to sit with its front hooves out, showing its "kosher" attribute. It also makes a chewing motion, like a kosher animal, even though it is not really chewing its cud. In other words, it lies!

So did Billy Graham lie this time like all B'nei Esau? I can't say for sure. But, could he have possibly been that stupid to allow the Soviet regime to keep the wool pulled over his eyes?

You be the judge.

Britain Growing Increasingly Anti- Semitic: Really? You Think?

Britain Growing Increasingly Anti- Semitic
Lloyd Levy, August 18, 2014

I actually never thought I would have to write an article like this, from the green and pleasant land of England. However it is becoming truly frightening to be a Jew in UK. What is so remarkable is how quickly it all appears to have happened. One can now start to experience what it must have been like in parts of Europe under Nazi threat, when friends and neighbours suddenly and without warning, turn on you because you are Jewish.

In the last week or so alone, we have seen the Tricycle Theatre banning the annual JEWISH film festival, which is one of the most important Jewish events of the calendar. The famous Edinburgh Fringe arts festival has also banned Israeli connected theatre groups.

We have the Parliamentary Member from Bradford, a large town in Yorkshire, announcing his town to be “Israeli” free, as well as reading that a leading Scottish Nationalist has apparently declared that an independent Scotland will be “Israeli free”. None of us are surely naïve enough to not understand that in practice it means Judenfrei, unless individual Jews renounce their loyalty to Israel.

Leading Supermarkets have been invaded and ransacked by anti-Israel terrorists, threatening staff and customers. The supermarkets have succumbed to this terrorism, with rumours swirling around that they are soon to stop selling all Israeli products. Only a day or two ago, a major supermarket in Central London, actually took all kosher products off the shelf. Think about that… all Jewish products banned, many not even from Israel at all. Over 100,000 people marched through London recently in an anti-Israel and anti-Jewish orgy of sheer hatred. I know people whose life-long friends are putting the most hideous anti-Semitic ranting on their “Facebook” pages.

Our Jewish so called leaders have let us down. I personally haven’t seen nor read any leading member of our Jewish representative bodies, or Rabbis, standing up in public for our community.

This is not a good time to be a Jew in Britain . Apparently in France it is far worse. We are being cowed and terrorised by home grown anti-Semites, and by imported oriental ones.

Only in the last few days have some of the leading Newspaper columnists begun to wake up to the hatred they have themselves stirred up by their coverage of Gaza, replete with its ancient Jewish blood libel of deliberate child sacrifice.

Natan Sharansky said recently that Europe is death to Jews, and he is so correct. History shows that anything can generate the hatred. If it wasn’t Gaza it would be something else.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
What can I say? Natan Sharansky is right about at least one thing. Europe IS death to Jews.

The author of this piece, Lloyd Levy, is also right, and provides us with a comprehensive report of recent, Jew-hating events in England.

I am not in the least bit surprised by any of these events, and neither should any of the large number of religious British Jews. These attitudes and events are written all over the Tana"kh (Bible), and elaborated upon by Our Sages, may their memories be for blessings (HaZa"L).

What concerns me about Levy's piece is that he seems to write as if England being Judenfrei is a bad thing. Why is it a bad thing? Jews are not supposed to be living in England; we are supposed to be living in the Land of Israel.

Galuth (exile) is a punishment, a punishment which we have so easily forgotten is a punishment. It does not matter how well British Jews have survived oppression, and have battled against discrimination. It does not matter that British Jews have successfully contributed to British society, and have even produced a Jewish prime minister.

All that matters is that British Jews see the writing on the wall, read it, internalize it, and recognize that it is simply NOT going to go away.

"This is not your home!"
"Get out!"

When Levy says that our leaders have let us down, he is right for the wrong reasons. What would he expect them to do? Fight against Esau (The West) and Yishma'el (Arabs/Muslims) simultaneously?
"Our Jewish so called leaders have let us down. I personally haven’t seen nor read any leading member of our Jewish representative bodies, or Rabbis, standing up in public for our community."
Although correct in this regard, Levy fails to mention any solution to the problems faced by Jews in England and elsewhere, to which, of course, there is only one.

Attitudes such as "sticking around for the fight" and "not giving up" [on our countries of exile] are completely misguided.

Only recently, European Jewish Congress President Dr. Moshe Kantor expressed the same sort of sentiment. Kantor himself compared the current atmosphere in Europe with that of pre-World War II Europe, in other words, pre-Holocaust Europe. Kantor definitely appears to be one of those so called leaders which are letting British, and other European, Jews down.

Why are our so called leaders blind to this? Are they afraid of losing their power? Their positions? Their money? Haven't they thought about their lives? The families? Their future?

Is the answer to another Holocaust scenario really to stick around and fight? Fight for what? To continuing living in the Exile?

England is not the home of the Jewish People. Neither is France nor the U. S. of A. The Land of Israel is our home. However, even now that the gates to our Homeland have been opened, many of us are still stuck, unwilling to give up the lives that we know, in exchange for the unknown challenges of building a new life in Israel, which most of us still see as a foreign country, or at best, an historical tourist attraction.

And, before you get the chance to list the countless flaws of the Israeli Government, allow me to beat you to the punch. Whether we have the ideal people in charge, throwing orders around, or the ideal form of government controlling the Land of Israel, or not, is irrelevant. Either we will step up to the plate, and form a proper Jewish government, or wait around for Mashi'ah to do it for us. Either way, the Labor Zionist State of Israel is only temporary.

At the risk of being accused of being an alarmist and Apocalyptic nut job, I would like to suggest that it is only going to get worse. I would like to believe that The Almighty does not want to leave a single one of His People behind, and needs to get our attention somehow. As I said above, this should not come as a surprise. However, it does. This is the sort of thing which happens, after 2,000 years of being inundated by the influence of cultures, not our own.

Many of us, even rabbis, have gone so far as to internalize the confusion of Western, cultural values and sensibilities with our own. They are not one and the same.

Likewise, many of us, even rabbis, have internalized the confusion of Western lands of exile with our own true Homeland.

The thought of picking up and moving to Israel is the furthest thought from their minds!

And so, galuth is so deeply ingrained within us, that it have to take a particularly nasty kick in the pants to snap us out of it, and to get us ready, both mentally and spiritually, to come home.

May The Almighty have mercy on us!

American, No More

After arriving in Israel 17 years ago, I began doing, or rather redoing, my student teaching in Tel-Aviv.

I remember the time when my native Israeli, mentor teacher told me that even after living in Israel for 20 years, that I would still always be known in my neighborhood as "The American."

But she also said that I shouldn't worry, because even though I would always be seen as "The American," my children would be "Israeli."

Some consolation, huh?

I wonder what what this mentor teacher of mine would say now, that I am no longer an American. Well, no longer an American citizen, anyway. That's right. Shortly before Passover this year, I renounced my American citizenship.

Certificate of Loss of Nationality of the United States
This colleague of mine would probably stand by her original statement.

Sure, I am fluent in Hebrew, can write relatively well in Hebrew, and my accent, I have been told, is at least better than that of the average American living in Israel.

I have never lived in a predominantly English-speaking neighborhood, have rejected an American sense of personal space, in favor of an Israeli one, and have absorbed many other cultural sensibilities which would cause Americans to do a double-take.

I have not left Israel in 16 years, and have not returned to the U. S. since my departure from it.

But, she was referring referring to those outer elements of appearance and culture, rather than national status.

Still, I felt even more disconnected from galuth (exile), the land of my personal galuth, and the government which rules over that land.

Whether appalled, or applauding, or indifferent to my decision, the same question always the same out of the mouths of everyone I told: Why?

First, I will state that my decision was not made out of anger or some kind of quest for vindication. Nor was it made for financial reasons, to avoid paying taxes to two governments, instead of one. However, I do not believe I have ever made the annual salary threshold, even requiring me to report my income as a U. S. citizen living abroad, let alone making the minimum annual salary requiring me to pay taxes on it to the U. S. government, after already parting with much of it to the Israeli government.

Since moving to Israel, I have never received my absentee ballot on time, and thus have not voted in U. S. elections since. So, there was no loss in this respect. Funny, though, how I could very well have been I living example of taxation without representation, not to mention never receiving anything in return for my troubles. So, you can imagine why the number of Americans living abroad renouncing their U. S. citizenship has been on the rise, particularly in Europe.

So, why did I? The reason for my renunciation of U. S. citizenship was actually quite simple.

However, I anticipate that many American Jews reading this, both in and outside of Israel, will find some way to complicate and distort my reasons, and not only that, but find excuses to scream and yell at me for going through with it. Could it be that the truth behind such aggressive attitudes is nothing less than defensiveness?

Could it be that they feel the need to defend themselves against why they haven't renounced their own citizenships? ...Of finally letting go of their "home" in America?

In 1996, when I first met with the shali'ah in Los Angeles, I was told that 50% of all North Americans who made aliyah, "returned home" within five years. This was not a terribly optimistic statistic for me to hear.

Worse yet, the shali'ah's use of the word "home" was disturbing to my ears. Sure, he was using the vernacular. But, did he mean that those returning to North America were unable to see Israel as their "home," and returned to the only "home" they knew? Or was he himself suggesting that the exile was our "home," and that Israel was simply a destination for wannabe ex-patriots? If it were the latter, this would be disappointing to say the least, a representative of the Jewish Agency for Israel NOT emphasizing that Israel was a Jew's only true home, rather than the lands of our exile.

My hole-punched
canceled U. S. Passport
I never hated America while growing up. Although my parents made it very clear to me that as citizens, we had the right to be critical of the U. S. government, and that we should exercise that right regularly. My mother took me to my first demonstration at the age of four, and showed me first picket line at the age of five.

Say what you will about former U. S. President George W. Bush, but even he claimed that the war in Iraq was to defend the right of the American people to criticize the war in Iraq.

Throughout college, I was bombarded with stories of how difficult it was to be a Jew in the Former Soviet Union. Hebrew teachers were being arrested for being Hebrew teachers. Matzoth was produced for Passover by one of two machines in hiding. An urban miqwah (ritual immersing pool) was disguised as a public swimming pool during the day. The name Natan Sharansky was heard regularly in the same sentence with the word "hero," etc., etc.

How much "easier" it was for me to be a Jew than in the Soviet Union, communist Eastern Europe, and Arab nations was mentioned often during my childhood, by my parents or in schul.

Vandalism by shwastika on my family's house and anti-Semitic harassment in both elementary and high school, by students and teachers alike, aside, I appreciated all of the opportunities afforded to me, as your average second generation American, growing up in a middle/upper-middle class sector of Southern California. We had it much better than most.

I will not bother to mention how much this has changed in the past 20 years, even in the past 2 years, as most of my brethren still residing in the land of their exile, America, are still too much in deep denial to be confronted with the physical evidence, let alone the spiritual evidence.

However, I did not renounce my U. S. citizenship in a symbolic act of severing ties with a nation becoming increasingly dangerous for Jews, and  whose fall is inevitable

I chose to renounce my U. S. citizenship for a much simpler reason, in order to sever any remaining ties I still had with the government ruling over the land of my exile.
Unfortunately, Jews, and perhaps American Jews in particular, have so easily forgotten that exile is a punishment. It does not matter how much Jews have accomplished in battling discrimination and oppression, and have contributed to those societies in the lands of our exile.

It is still the exile, and it is still a punishment, and I wanted nothing to do with it.

Jewish Agency, If You Really Want to Help, Then Don't Help!

YNET: Jewish Agency to extend emergency aid to Ukraine's Jewish community
As violence rages in Ukraine, Jewish Agency Chairman vows to aid Jewish communities in Ukraine, aims to 'ensure the safety and security of Ukraine's Jews'.

February 23, 2014

Think hard, Natan!
Think hard!
The Jewish Agency will extend immediate emergency assistance to the Jewish community of Ukraine and will help secure Jewish institutions in the country, the Chairman of the Executive of The Jewish Agency for Israel Natan Sharansky (left) announced Saturday.

"The Jewish community of Ukraine, which counts some 200,000 members, is one of most vibrant Jewish communities in the world, with dozens of active Jewish organizations and institutions. Recent events have shown that we must strengthen these institutions' security measures. We have a moral responsibility to ensure the safety and security of Ukraine's Jews," said Sharansky.

The immediate assistance will come from The Jewish Agency's Emergency Assistance Fund for Jewish Communities. The fund was established in the wake of the horrific March 2012 terror attack in Toulouse, in which a Jewish teacher and three Jewish schoolchildren were murdered....

....Dr. Misha Galperin, President and CEO of Jewish Agency International Development, said: "The Jewish Agency had established the Emergency Assistance Fund for Jewish Communities two years ago. We are seeking to replenish the fund now in order to help the Ukrainian Jewish communities with their safety and security costs."

The Ukrainian Jewish community is one of the largest Jewish communities in the world, with some 200,000 members. Most Jews reside in the capital, Kiev, and there are thriving communities in Odessa, Lvov, and Dnepropetrovsk.

During 70 years of Communist rule, Jewish gatherings were prohibited in Ukraine, but after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Jewish institutions began to develop in the country, transforming the Jewish community.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Blah, blah, blah,...

The only solution to anti-Semitism, more accurately called Jew-hatred, is Aliyah (Jewish immigration to Israel). Anything less than this is assisted suicide.

And, yes, unintentionally [or not], this is what the (non-) Jewish Agency is doing.

My sources on the inside tell me that the Jewish Agency has a history of active recruiting of goyim (non-Jews) in the Ukraine, without documentation, while religious Jews in the U. S. are asked to track down maternal grave sites, and submit photographs of them in order to prove Jewishness.

Even ardently secular representatives of the Jewish Agency were said to have been appalled by this.

Meanwhile, back in the Ukraine, real Jews who do not have enough money to spare for the train to Kiev or Harkov, in order to begin the Aliyah process at a (non-) Jewish Agency office.

If the (non-) Jewish Agency doesn't care about Israel's so-called "Law of Return," then why should anyone else?

Oh yes, and then there was the firebomb at a Kiev synagogue, and it was not just an unfortunate victim of collateral damage during the ongoing protests there.
Yeshiva World News: Ukraine Shul Targeted in a Firebomb Attack

There are growing fears that the civil unrests in Kiev will result in increased anti-Semitism. On Monday morning 24 Adar I, four masked men targeted a shul in Zbarazh in a firebomb attack. The four managed to flee the scene before a watchman could apprehend any of them.

JDN reports that Chabad shaliach in the city, Rabbi Nachum Ehrentreu Shlita, who has been serving as the city and district rav for 17 years, announced efforts to protect the shul and mispallalim are ongoing. The shul complex is fenced in, there is an electric gate, and there are closed circuit TV cameras operating 24 hours daily.

The elegant shul was opened two years ago, donated by philanthropist R’ Yisrael Dovartzki, who is close to Rav Ehrentreu. Tens of Yidden are mispallel in the shul daily, and there are 800 mispallalim on yomim tovim. The shul building is the heart of the kehilla, and it is estimated that there are 10,000 Jews in the entire district.
The Jewish Agency is simply not terribly helpful in assisting Jews make Aliyah, and have turned over some of that responsibility to the Nefesh b'Nefesh organization. There has already been some acknowledgement that Jewish Agency does not claim the role of encouraging Jews to make Aliyah.

In the 1940's, Rabbi Yissachar Shlomo Teichtel hy"d tried to warn Hungarian Jews that staying in Hungary was dangerous, if not fatal. These Haredi, religious Jews were eventually slaughtered not even directly by the Nazis, but with collaboration from Labor Zionists.

Interestingly enough, Rabbi Techtel himself was not killed by Nazis, rather was believed to have killed by a Ukrainian on the train to Auschwitz.

Food for thought.

So, when the (non-) Jewish Agency wants to "help" by strengthening the Jewish communities outside of Israel, instead of designating these same funds for the facilitation of Aliyah, I say that the Jewish Agency simply shouldn't bother.

Let's Be Honest. How Many Of Them Do You Think Are Jewish?

15 of the Fifth Month 5769
Absorption Ministry, Jewish Agency Kick Off New Program
13 b'Av 5769/Aug 3, 2009, 3:04 AM

(IsraelNN.com) Absorption Minister Sopha Landwer (Yisra'el Beitenu) and Jewish Agency Chairman Natan Sharansky (Yisra'el b'Aliyah-Likud) kicked off a new 32-million-shekel program on Sunday to encourage immigration from the former Soviet Union during this time of international financial crisis. Half of the program is being funded by the state; the other half by the agency.

The program consists of housing and other grants, as well as employment assistance for 850 families and 200 individuals between the ages of 18 and 55 who come in the next few months to communities that have expressed an interest in receiving new immigrants.

Landwer said that if the participants in the pilot program succeed, they will encourage others to come on Aliyah (immigration to Israel) and the project will be the basis for future absorption programs if it's successful. Sharansky said that the assistance will give the new olim (immigrants) mental and fiscal peace of mind during their first year to concentrate on learning Hebrew and on employment, which are the central factors in their success during this initial period.

Let's be honest. How many of these "new immigrants" are Jewish?

While living in an absorption center in Tel-Aviv for two years, I had many opportunities to meet, speak with, and get to know my fellow residents who were almost all from the Former Soviet Union.

Already knowing that at least 60% of them were not even Jewish, in my naivete, I was still shocked to hear statements like the following,...in English, of course.
"I'm not Jewish. My father was. I don't care about Israel. I don't want to learn Hebrew. I am hear for my free bachelor's degree. Then I'm off to Canada."

My experiences only revealed the tip of the iceberg. These residents were the educated, university students, and this was 10 years ago. You can only imagine what it is like now.

I have heard reports from appalled, even secular emissaries from the (non) Jewish Agency of being told to encourage and even recruit goyim to make Aliyah. When candidate would ask what should do about documentation, he would be told not to worry about that. (Meanwhile I have a friend who presented a ketubbah from the Israeli Chief Rabbinate to the Interior Ministry, and that "was not good enough" to prove he was eligible to make Aliyah.)

Meanwhile, a friend of mine traveling through small towns in the Ukraine (visiting the grave sites of rabbis) reported meeting Jews left out in the cold because they could not aford the train fare to the Agency's offices in Kiev. How did he know they were Jewish? They recognized his Hassidishe garb, and approached him in Yiddish. That was how they were able to communicate.

Anyone from the (non) Jewish Agency will tell you that it is not the agency's job to make policy, but to execute the policy of the Israeli government. ("Just following orders.")

Another thing the (non) Jewish Agency does not want you to know is that the biggest critics of encouraging of these goyim to immigrate to Israel are the olim who arrived from the Soviet Union 20 plus years ago,...you know the ones who really are Jewish.

These olim, like and MK Yuli Edelstein and Sharansky himself, fought hard to leave the Soviet Union to come and dwell in the Jewish Homeland, and suffered for their desires greatly at the hands of the Soviet government. It is important to note that these Jews are mostly secular and traditional, not necessarily religious. Yet, they still protest the influx of goyim.

But, so what? Shimon Peres needed votes for his Labor Party, and so the not so secret campaign began. What better way to get them than to steer government policy in the direction of bringing a religious minority into the country en masse?

Sharansky's old Yisra'el b'Aliyah Party certainly was not going to stand in the way. They would campaign hard for these votes. Remember their 5762/2001 "Nosh Kontrol" campaign, demanding that the Interior Ministry control be taken away from Sh"as, and handed over to Yisra'el b'Aliyah? Signs in Russian were plastered all over Israel. ("Nosh" is Russian for "our.")

Netanyahu = Shas Kontrol
Sharansky = Nosh Kontrol

The issue of "Who is a Jew?" was exploited for the sake of votes, while the country's Jewish character gradually eroded. If Sharansky could get control of the Interior Ministry, he could have control over what was displayed on Israeli ID cards, pleasing the countless goyim from the Former Soviet Union, those with or without fake or quickie "conversions."

As it happens, then Interior Minister Eli Yishai removed the "nationality" categroy from the ID cards completely, a way he found to avoid implementing the High Court's ruling that all so-called "conversions" to Judaism would be accepted, and those individuals would be identified as such.

Now that Yisra'el b'Aliyah is dead, Lieberman and Landwer's Yisra'el Beitenu Party hope to reap the benefits. They will need it, too, with Lieberman's legal troubles. Lieberman can no longer count on the secular Sefardi vote he received this time around. That will invariably revert back to the Sh"as religious party or to the Likud.

Meanwhile, the Labor Party, assuming is survives, and the "religiously pluralistic" un-Jewish Mere"tz Party will undoubtedly try to snag their share of this goyshe voting base.

When Ariel Sharon first came to power in 5761/2002, an attempt was made to change the "Law Of Return," which has allowed such "Nuremberg Jews" and their spouses to settle in Israel. The change was quickly shot down.

In 5767/2007 response to the discovery of Neo-Nazi cells in Israel, former MK Effie Eitam (National Union) said that he planned on submitting legislation that would have prevented non-Jews from immigrating to Israel under the "Law of Return." That never panned out, and it took the serious and embarrassing issue of finding Neo-Nazis in Israel to raise the issue. (The ostriches were froced to pull their heads out of the sand for a day or two.)

Canada has been offering a limited number of such Russian, Belarussian, and Ukrainian "Israelis" residency, under the category of the "religiously oppressed," or some such nonsense.

Let them go directly to Canada, or Germany, or wherever else they desire. I don't care, just as long as Israel (ie. your and your parents' donations to Jewish Federations) does not have to foot the bill.

The U. S., Israel, and Christians

11 of the Twelfth Month 5768

From Ellen Horowitz:

Cross-posted at Israel E-News.

US Campaign Update:

All prospective candidates in this year’s presidential campaign have expressed their obligatory devotion to Israel, and have also pledged their robust allegiance to Jesus. The evangelical camp has splintered, and I don’t envy American Jews come November 2008 - as this campaign is taking some bazaar turns….

Lauded conservative pundit, Ann Coulter - author of "If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans", - has cast her lot with Hillary Clinton. McCain simply isn’t conservative enough for her. Watch as she batters McCain and bats for Clinton:

You remember Ann. She expressed her wishes - via a televised interview - that it would be preferable if all Americans were Christian. She then went on to expound upon Christian theology and the need for Jews to be “perfected”. Liberal Jewish groups denounced her, while a predictable group of Jewish Republican personalities ran to her defense.

A couple of months ago Ann, penned an essay with these ominous words (and, incredibly, many purportedly G-d fearing American Jews believe her):

“The survival of Israel is inextricably linked to the survival of the Republican Party and its evangelical base.”

Not to be outdone, Lebanese Christian Pro- Israel Conservative Brigitte Gabriel has warned Jews against voting for Obama, and she also dropped the “H” bomb.

"No Jews should support him. Jews should vote for Hillary Clinton."

Meanwhile liberal Jewish Barbara Walters suggested that some consider Obama to be, “almost like a Messiah - he can do no wrong”.

John McCain doesn’t quite rate as the Messiah, but not to worry because Senator Joe Lieberman - the man who likened CUFI’s Pastor John Hagee to Moses - has compared John McCain to Judah Maccabee (rumor has it that Joe sees John as more of a personal savoir, in that he hopes to garner the position of running mate).

Mike and the Devil

And speaking of personal savior, Pastor Mike Evans of the Jerusalem Prayer team is sending out personally addressed email in which he declares, “God has spoken to me as the Chairman of the Jerusalem Prayer Team to launch the Save Jerusalem Campaign. It seems that “Satan knows his command and control center for spiritual warfare is in Jerusalem!” and Mike has put himself in the position of “intercessor”.

It’s ironic that it was Ehud Olmert who launched the Jerusalem Prayer Team with Mike back in 2002

I got a hankerin’ for history and my Jewish roots, so let’s go way back to 1977 when Mike Evans – a protégé of Pat Robertson - was featured in an article in Time Magazine entitled,
'Yeshua Is the Messiah': "Fraud . .. deception ... playing with religious tradition."

(Excerpt):
Leader Mike Evans, 29, presided like an auctioneer over fund-raising appeals ("Tell every single person what you want them to do. Lord") and faith-healing marathons ("There's a man with a gall bladder problem sitting over there. Well, you're God's beloved"). At one point Evans appealed for commitments to Jesus, blending Jewish terminology with tent revivalism: "Great God of Israel, I need forgiveness for my sins. I believe that Yeshua Jesus is the Messiah."...

Evans says: "We are just a bunch of young Jewish kids." ....Despite his Jewish emphasis, he gets backing from such Gentile Pentecostal stalwarts as Christian Broadcaster Pat Robertson and Evangelist David Wilkerson.

According to his website http://www.mikeevansministries.com/ Evans was present in Geneva in 1988 (where Yasser Arafat officially denounced terrorism), the Madrid Peace Conference in 1991, the White House Peace Accords in 1993, and the State Funeral of Yitzhak Rabin. Pardon my lapse into evangelical rhetoric, but it seems he has been everywhere the Devil has been.

Mike may have lost the Midas touch. His presence, along with Walid Shoebat’s, at a recent Night to Honor Israel Dinner in Florida – which was to raise funds for bomb shelters - did not produce impressive results. It was “less successful and less well attended” than previous events. According to the Heritage Florida Jewish News, an estimated $20,500 was raised, which fell far short of the goal of $76,000. Jewish participants reported that there was a distinct Christian tone to the evening with fiery rhetoric and references to the Antichrist, Armageddon, and blasphemers.

Meanwhile Dr James Hutchens, a regional director of CUFI is reporting in the Jerusalem Connection International that “The Evangelical support for Israel is shrinking”. And that “more and more Evangelical pulpits are silent about Israel”

For those of you unfamiliar with Hutchens, please note that he graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California with a Doctor of Missionary (Multi/Cross-Cultural Studies). His dissertation was entitled, "A Case for Messianic Judaism."

Hamodia reports that Norwegian Jews are very unhappy with a decision taken by the Israeli embassy in Oslo to distribute tourism-ministry leaflets jointly sponsored by Christian groups such as the United Christian Council in Israel, believed to be a missionary group.

“While we are fighting tooth and nail to hold on to the Jewish identity of our community, the missionaries are receiving support from the tourism ministry,” wrote one outraged leader.

Arutz 7 reports that an Education Ministry '60th Anniversary of Israel' poster features a non-existent Christian church over the Western Wall and asks whether it’s an attempt to 'internationalize' the city?

Now I wouldn’t pin the whole blame on those Leftists in the Education Ministry.

I reported back in November that Natan Sharansky established the Temple Mount as a holy place to Christians on the One Jerusalem website.

“We must continue to do everything in our power to stop the Palestinians from
destroying historical evidence and to preserve the Temple Mount as a holy
place to Jews and Christians.”

Thankfully, it appears the page at http://www.onejerusalem.org/natanReplies.asp has since been removed.

I had written in that November update that, “If the Temple Mount is now being claimed by the three major religions, then the obvious diplomatic solution (a la Rice) would be to call for the internationalization of Jerusalem - and that is something the Vatican has always endorsed.”

Our Jerusalem Prayer Team friend, Mike Evans, referred to East Jerusalem as “the home of Christianity” in his January update:

Dr. James M. Hutchens, president of The Jerusalem Connection International and a regional director of Christians United for Israel says “There is a lot of Christian DNA in East Jerusalem”

The Jerusalem Post recently reported that, "There is a growing trend of Christian or evangelical real estate investors buying assets in sacred areas.”

And Israel Today Magazine ran a feature by Messianic Jew Mike Decker on How Messianic Jews and Christians can purchase property in Israel

The moral of the story:
If Israel wants a Judeo-Christian alliance with very passionate Evangelicals, then there is a price to be paid and don’t be surprised if a claim to Jerusalem is part of the deal.

This is who we are partnering with (the following is a John Hagee production):
