Why Won't MK Ruth Calderon Just Go Away?

מוצש״ק פר׳ כי תשא תשע"ה
Life In Israel, February 24, 2015
The right in general, and specifically the religious parties, do not have a monopoly on Judaism. The Jewish culture belongs to all Israelis, with no difference as to their political worldview.

-- MK Ruth Calderon (Yesh Atid)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
On one level, MK Ruth Calderon is right.

The so-called "right," and the religious parties do not have a monopoly on Judaism. But, that is only on the levels of minhaggim (customs). Halakhah (Torah Law) is simply not the rocket science many rabbis would like us to believe that it is.

However, the likes of MK Ruth Calderon certainly does not have any say at all, with regard to Judaism.

It cannot be as "creatively interpreted" as she would like. As I said, halakhah is simply not the rocket science many rabbis would like us to believe that it is. But, it is not the pseudo-pluralistic Play-Doh, MK Ruth Calderon would like us to believe that it is, either.

Judaism is certain not the chopped up, so-called "creative" version of MK Calderon. Apparently a Talmudic scholar, this is why she is a force to be reckoned with, not because she apparently knows something of the Talmud, but because she knows it well enough to distort it, if she so chooses to do so. Granted, the distortions, and various unnecessary Haredi humros only serve to attract the ignorant to her perspective. Nevertheless, in my opinion,* her path is not a Torah true path

This leads me to suspect that her various projects, including Elu"l Religious and Secular learning together are not for the sake of pluralism and unity, but rather for the sake of pluralism and unity under the banner of Ruth Calderon's version of Judaism. And does one even need to mention her "secular yeshivas?"

"Jewish Culture" is just another code word for "Judaism extends beyond the bounds of Torah."

It doesn't. Judaism IS Torah. All of it, not just what we like, not just what we pick and choose, and not just what is trendy or politically correct.

MK Dr. Ruth Calderon's path, in my opinion,* is nothing more than a smoke screen for the anti-Torah minions of the Left to pass through unabated, whether she knows it or not.

The anti-Torah, Erev Rav is in control of the country, and thus, for the time being anyway, the State.

This is why MK Ruth Calderon won't just go away.

She's definitely earned her an Esser Agaroth topic tag for this one!

*Watch me get into trouble for criticizing an MK. Even though I say "in my opinion." If you still insist that we have free speech in the State of Israel, you are grossly mistaken.

A New Shabbos Law? Don't Be Fooled!

י"ב לחודש התשעי תשע"ה

Life In Israel: Proposed Law: Defining the cultural character of Shabbos
Rafi G., December 4, 2014

Despite the imminent dissolution of the Knesset, for now work goes on as normal, at least sort of, for the Members of the Knesset.

MKs Ruth Calderon (Yesh Atid) and Elazar Stern (Hatnua) have proposed a new law that would qualify the character of Shabbos in the public sphere.

The proposal attempts to define Shabbos as a special and unique day as the official national day of rest, as a day to be dedicated to culture, entertainment and leisure, with minimal commerce.

According to the proposal, while official State institutions would be closed, public facilities would be able to open, such as museums, zoos, cultural centers, national parks, etc. on Shabbos. The law would even allow for payment to enter any of these locations prior to Shabbos, so one would not have to pay on Shabbos itself.

According to the proposal, some limited public transportation would operate, upon approval from each local municipal authority, based on need of local residents. Makolets and pharmacies would require special permits to open, using some sort of rotational system. This would require approval from the local authority and from the Minister of Interior.

In addition, the law would stipulate government funding for cultural activities.

The law will also protect the rights of the Jewish employee to not work on Shabbos and not be discriminated against. source: Srugim

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Good ol' MK's Ruth Calderon and Elazar Stern! No surprises here!

Do not be fooled by this apparently Shabbath-supportive proposal.

There is nothing in this proposal, in the least bit supportive of proper Shabbath observance. In fact, this is merely a strategic ploy to chip away at the already decaying Shabbath laws, enforced by the Israeli Government.

Let's take a careful look at this proposal which will be eaten up by the so-called "movements," and will be supported, if not advocated, by the naive, liberal, Modern Orthodox, and so-called "pluralists."

Allow me to read between the lines, translate the legalese, and connect the dots for you...
A day to be dedicated to culture, entertainment and leisure
you will no longer be demonized for violating Shabbath
The law would even allow for payment to enter any of these locations prior to Shabbos, so one would not have to pay on Shabbos itself.
The Israeli Government will now make it easier for you to violate Shabbath
Some limited public transportation would operate
The Israeli Government will now make it easier to violate Shabbath
Makolets (grocery stores) and pharmacies would require special permits to open
Don't bother preparing in advance for Shabbath, since you will be able to violate it more easily. (*Incidentally, there is already a system in place allowing for the purchase of perscription drugs on Shabbath.)
Government funding for cultural activities
The Israel Government will not only condone anti-Torah activities, but will now be providing their funding.
If passed, this prosposed law will simply make it even easier to violate Shabbath, than it already is.

The attack on Torah is nothing new. The attackers are just getting sneakier and sneakier.

Give MK Boaz Toporovsky (Yesh Atid) A Break!

ערב שבת קודש פר' חקת תשע"ג

YNET: New MK falls asleep in office, wakes up online
MK Toporovsky, young new MK from Yesh Atid, causes stir after uploading suggestive picture of himself online where he's seen shirtless in his office, after plenum deliberation continues into early hours

June 12, 2013

MK Boaz Toporovsky (Yesh Atid) caused a stir both online and offline after he posted what some have called an intimate and suggestive picture of himself sleeping shirtless in his office at the end of long plenum session.

The incident joins a long line of "unparliamentary" activities and has irked Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein who called on MKs to protect the Knesset's honor.

MK Toporovsky: "From now on, I'll sleep in a suit."
---(snip)---

In it, he can be seen lying on what appears to be the couch in his office, giving the camera a "flirtatious" stare and using his shirt as a blanket.

"4:51 am, going to sleep in my office in the Knesset," he wrote alongside the picture. "This is the first time I am sleeping in my office; luckily there is a shower in the office."

Within a number of hours the picture had gone viral, inspiring a slew of internet memes poking fun at Toporovsky, the picture, and specifically his stare.

"I don’t always take semi-nude pictures of myself while I'm in the Knesset" one of the memes read, "but when I do, I make sure my eyes are deep and dreamy."

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
For Goodness Sakes! Give MK Boaz Toporovsky A Break!

K'nesseth Speaker Yuli Edelstein "called on MKs to protect the Knesset's honor." and yet, last Sukkoth, K'nesseth Speaker Yuli Edelstein spoke at a conference of Christian missionaries in the Jerusalem, even after being warned by former Jerusalem City Councilmember Mina Fenton (NRP). How is that protecting the K'nesseth's honor? In fact, it sounds pretty "unparliamentary" to me. Don't you think?

It was reported that MK Toporovsky later added, "From now on, I'll sleep in a suit."

I am certain that if I were to take a look at a list of MK Toporovsky's stances, I would take issue with most of them. In fact, I am pretty disgusted by most all of his colleagues in his Yesh Atid Party, Dov Lipman, Ruth Calderon, and Yair Lapid himself.

In contrast to those folks, MK Toporovsky is an asset. Goverment representatives of the people are supposed be just that, government representatives of the people. And MK Toporovsky represents the people.

He is real. He takes his shirt off to go to sleep on his couch, just like all other, hard-working Israelis do.

AND like most other hard-working Israeli's, he has a sense of humor. Thank The Almighty, we at least have one Member of K'nesseth, who may take his issues seriously, as evidenced by his all night K'nesseth session debate, but does not feel compelled to take himself so seriously.

I can think of at think 100 other Members of K'nesseth you could take a less from this.

OK. So, maybe not every hard-working Israeli posts about it on his or her facebook page. Nonetheless, the way I see it is that, for better or worse, he keeps in touch with his constituents, and he reminds them (us) that he is not above us, nor any better or worse than any of us.

He IS just one of us.

MK Toporovsky, I want to thank you, for being real, and for not forgetting that you're just like any other Israeli.

You're just one of us.
*********

I posted the following on MK Toporovsky's Facebook Page, in addition to this post, more or less a summary in Hebrew of the above:

ח"כ טופורובבסקי,
אני לא מסכים איתך רוב הזמין, אבל אחרי פרשת "שינה בספה" אני יודע שאתה ישראלי אמיתי שעובד קשה מאוד בשבילינו! אתה הראת לכל העולם שאתה לא נמצא ברמה יותר גבוה מישראלים אחרים. אלא אתה ממש אחד ממנו! אתה האח האמיתי שלנו (אפילו כשלא מסכימים.) :-)

A Western Solution to a Middle Eastern Problem

ט"ו לחודש השני תשע"ג

Well, the title of this post could be about almost anything, and the mistake, repeated over and over and over again, in attempting to put this approach into action.

However, this evening, the criticism falls on MK Elazar Stern for proposing a liberal, Western-exile oriented solution to what is actually an international problem. Of course, many in the West, in Europe and North America do not even recognize any problem. I call it a Middle Eastern problem, because Israel is in the Middle East.

MK Stern
attacked!
And so, a few days ago, MK Stern was attacked by an Eritrean citizen in South Tel-Aviv, had his kippah stepped on, and a cross waved in his face.

According to Tomer Devorah, MK Stern's "solution" for dealing with infiltrators into Israel is to spread them around the country more. Whether the Eritrean who attacked MK Stern is one such infiltrator or not is irrelevant. Is MK Stern seriously that wrapped up in co-dependent fear of not being considered politically-correct enough by colleagues such as MK Ruth Calderon (Yesh Atid) and MK Michal Roisin (Meretz), or perhaps by Europeans, that he would propose such ridiculous plan of action, and call it a "solution?"

Let's take a look at some of the Middle Eastern solutions to similar Middle Eastern problems.

Not so long ago, when Kuwait, with quite a bit of help from the United States, succeeded in kicking Iraqi military infiltration out of its Land, one of the first post-Gulf War actions it took was to kick out its entire "Palestinian" second class. Why? Well, not that it matters, but the "Palestinians" were dumb enough, or had integrity enough, not to hide their support for Iraq's leader Sadam Hussein. The Kuwaitis were not going to tolerate any of that. So, they kicked them out.

When Saudi Arabia welcomed California engineers into their country to assist in various projects in the 1970's (I believe), it came as no surprise that Jews were quietly told that they would not be participating. Snickers from behind scenes were immediately quieted when African-American engineers were told the same. The California engineers went anyway. Saudi Arabia has continued to do whatever it wants. Saudi Arabia knows that the non-Muslim world needs them more than they need non-Muslims.

Meanwhile, it is still illegal for a Jew to enter Saudi Arabia. There have not been any Jews in Saudi Arabia for considerable amount of time. Muhammad took care of that.

Nobody seems to think that they need Israel, economically. Attempts by some clever Israelis to remind the rest of the word that if they want to boycott us, then they had better boycott all of the high tech parts invented and produced here, as well as the award-winning wines from Yehudah and Shomron (Judea and Samaria).

It didn't work. Arab oil is just too important to piss off Arab countries. Even the "addicted to political-correctness" European countries prefer environmentally-incorrect Arabs, their oil, and their "religion of peace" (giggle) over Israel's high tech. They just ignore where those parts come from. They never liked Jews anyway, and are in complete denial that 400 year after Muslims were pushed back from Vienna, their present strategy has already achieved far more in the way of a takeover of Europe than just Vienna and east.

But, I digress....

When outsiders want something from us, they always seem to get it, don't they? The Israeli Government makes sure of it. For example, the Vatican just won part of Mt. Zion. How did the Vatican get it? The Vatican wanted it! And so, they moaned and groaned about it, until it got what it wanted!

By now, you are probably wondering what this all has to do with MK Stern, his ridiculous "solution," and Israel's illegal alien problem, more like illegal infiltration problem.

The point is that Stern's idiotic solution is much like the old Techiya Party's "solution" of annexing Yehudah and Shomron, without considering where to put the Arabs, and much like the current Jewish Home Party's idiotic "solution" annexing parts of Yehudah and Shomron, and granting the Arabs there either autonomy or Israeli citizenship. It is liberal, Western, globalist, and suicidal. It just seem to get worse and worse in Israel, as time goes by.

MK Stern isn't even talking about Arabs, who lay claims to our Homeland (much like the Seven Nations of old - hint, hint). He's talking about infiltrators who sneak into Israel, because they know they will have hope here; they will experience the hessed of the Jewish People.

Of course, hessed towards it own people,...well, that appears to be a completely different story, doesn't it?

And, why doesn't anyone every ask why the infiltrators do not bother to stop in Egypt, on the way from Eritrea, Sudan, and elsewhere? Why doesn't anyone ever question Egypt, Saudi Arabia, or Kuwait over their exclusionary practices?

Oh, isn't Israel so nice??!! NO! Israel is filled with co-dependent suckers!

Tell me something. Will fancy-shmancy Ramat-Aviv, K'far Sh'maryahu, and Kokhav Ya'ir be getting their fair share of the infiltrators, as part of MK Elazar Stern's "solution?"

I sincerely doubt it, not with their "Not in my neighborhood!" elitist attitudes.

Do YOU want infiltrators in YOUR neighborhood? No, I didn't think so.

So, why doesn't the Israeli government kick them out? That would see to be the Middle Eastern solution

We may never know the answer to such mysteries. But, I will hazard a guess that is something to do with "what the goyim would think." It would be such a shanda! ::eyes rolling::

Needless to say, in lieu of any serious action taken by the Israeli government to solve the illegal infiltration problem, in the meantime, my taking back of MK Elazar Stern's Brownie Points, previously awarded to him, will have to suffice,...for not.

Reading Ruth: MK Ruth Calderon In The Hotseat

מוצש"ק פר' אחרי קדושים תשע"ג

No, by "Reading Ruth," I do not mean reading Megillath Ruth from the Tana"kh (Bible), which is traditionally read by many on the upcoming holiday of Shavu'oth.

Rather, I mean I mean "Reading," as in the art of insult, and "Ruth," as in MK Ruth Calderon.

Are you sitting down? Good. Here I go.

Tablet: Ruth Calderon Calls Out Bigotry
Condemns anti-Arab racism and homophobia at controversial religious Zionist conference

Yair Rosenberg, April 18, 2013

Readers may remember Dr. Ruth Calderon as the new member of Knesset who turned her first parliamentary address into a Talmud lecture, the video of which quickly went viral. The Torah is not the property of any stream,” said Calderon, a secular Talmud teacher who has founded pluralistic Jewish study houses across Israel, during the speech. “We gave it away, when we thought there was a more important task, to build the army and the state and farming and industry. Now we must take back what is ours.”

Since then, as a result of her activism in Israeli society and now her role in the Knesset as a member of Yesh Atid, Calderon has emerged as the standard bearer for a new generation of non-Orthodox and non-religious Israelis seeking to reclaim their heritage, and to break the country’s Orthodox monopoly on Judaism.(cont.)

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
"Whateva! I do what I want!"
MK Ruth Calderon is fed up with homophobia? No problem. You will see the place of honor I grant one former member of the GLBTQ community below. I say "former," because s/he's dead.

Now, as for the all of those words above, I have highlighted in red, they are simply code phrases for "Whateva! I do what I want!"

They support the notion that something more than "Talumdic scholarship" is at play here.

Sheesh! I have already brought up MK Ruth Calderon a few times on Esser Agaroth (2¢), and she has only been an MK for a few months! If this keeps up, I may even have to add a "MK Ruth Calderon" topic label.

The so called "right-wing" Ramle conference allowed her to participate, and ended up with egg on its face.

Would a leftist conference do the same? I think not.

And what did MK Ruth Calderon talk about? Being fed up with anti-Arab racism. Remember, I suggested that I would stay away from the issue of homophobia,...for now.

And, why do you suppose that there are anti-Arab racists in Israel?

Rockets from the south, rockets from the north, bombings, shootings, and attempted poisonings aside, of course...

MK Ruth Calderon's "Talmudic scholarship" should have taught her about the nature of Yishma'el. The nature of this people stems all the way back from its who was described as a "wild ass of a man" (Gen. 16:12).

It is true, that in the end Yishma'el did do teshuvah. He repented. However, his children did not.

MK Ruth Calderon should know that throughout Tana"kh (The Bible), and in the Talmudim of which she is supposed to be a "scholar," there are countless references to the nature of the Yishma'elites: thieving, marauding, and debauchery. Having no connection to the Land of Israel WHATSOEVER, it is clear that Yishma'elites have crossed into Israel when it is weak, taken advantage of that weakness, and have then left, moving onto their next victims.

But, she apparently does not.

Yet, MK Ruth Calderon should have observed the change in strategy by the Yishma'elim. When seeing that the Jews would building up the Land, they flowed into Israel, from all over. They came from Syria, from Lebanon (the southern part of which is really Israel, which she should know), from Jordan, and from Egypt. Either the Ottoman authorities did not care, or they encouraged it.

Then in 1967, because force is what Yishma'elites understand, they started to settled down, realizing that the Jews are here to stay, and maybe even that God was on our side after all, and started working with Jews, even becoming employed by them.

But, apparently, she did not.

MK Ruth Calderon should also have heard the expression...

There is no promiscuity like the promiscuity of Yishma'el. אין זנות כזנות ישמעאל
-Avoth d'Rabbi Nathan (among others)

But, apparently, she has not.

MK Ruth Calderon should be familiar with post-Talmudic history, such as the dawn of Islam, which including the near genocide of Jews residing in the Southern Arabian Penninsula. Even today, Jews are banned from Saudi Arabia. But, of course, no one wants to discuss THAT in the mainstream news media, or to call it racist, lest someone decides to pull the plug on their oil supply!

But, apparently, she is not.

But, maybe I have been unfair to MK Ruth Calderon. Maybe she does know all of the above, but...
1. She doesn't believe any of what she is a "scholar" in
2. OR she is naive, and believes in the Western/assimilationist line of trying to force the Arab's square peg into a Western, circular hole.
3. OR she is quite skilled in manipulating the sources, and I have, indeed, underestimated her.
"She Who Must
Not Be Named"
MK Ruth Calderon receives a score of one (nope. not a Sea Hag, but a) "She Who Must Not Be Named," for not even bothering to try to convince us why women should not have to cover their hair.

Now, to hammer the point home, I have included a video, which explains the concept of "reading."

I doubt I did as good of a job that the interviewee in the video could have done, but tried my best at "Reading Ruth."

I have no doubt that this video will offend many, the religious due to its content, and the GLBTQ community and their friends, for daring to apply it in this context. Yet, with everybody, including religious Jews, buzzing about, and raving about gay marriage, having fallen prey to the distraction strategies of the "powers that be," you will be seeing quite a bit of leftist content on Esser Agaroth (2¢) thrown back into faces of hypocrites leftist.

In other words, Leftists, prepare to get a taste of your own medicine.

Actually, it will be more like a choking gulp than a taste.

**Profanity Alert!**

The "Legendary Mother," Dorian Corey (R. I. P.)
explains the arts of insult "Reading" and "Shade,"
in a clip from the film "Paris Is Burning" (1990).

Hmm,... What DON'T I have to tell MK Ruth Calderon?

A New Beit Midrash In The Knesset?

י' לחודש השנים עשר תשע"ג
Life In Israel: New Beit Medrash In The Knesset
What do you think of this?

MK Rabbi Shai Peron (Yesh Atid) and MK Dr. Ruth Calderon (Yesh Atid), along with MKs Yoni Chetboun (HaBayit HaYehudi) and MK Elazar Stern (HaTnua), are planning on establishing a Beit Medrash program in the Knesset.

The purpose of the program will be for MKs and Knesset employees to learn some Torah once a week, on Tuesdays, and to have discussions about Judaism.

Every week a different MK will take a turn leading the discussion, teaching a talmudic topic.

According to Kipa, the haredi parties have not yet decided whether to participate or not.

Looks to me to be a good idea...

it brings new meaning to the phrase Ki Mi'Tzion Teitzei Torah - From Zion will come forth Torah. This would be the heart of Zion and specifically Zionism that would be teaching Torah...
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
A good idea?  From Zion will come forth Torah?

It depends on what you mean by Torah. If MK Calderon and MK Stern are involved, I wouldn't be so sure that what they mean by Torah is what I mean by Torah.

Let's take a look at who's involved...

Rb. Shai Peron - Mamlakhti (undying State loyalist) credentials include: Shavei Hevron Yeshivah, Herzog College, the Israeli Democratic Institute, the Dovrat Education Commission, and membership in Tzohar.

Yoni Chetboun - I don't know enough about this MK to comment.  So, for now, let it be known that I'll be keeping a close eye on him.

Maj. Gen. Elazar Stern (ret.) - collaborator in throwing Jews out of their homes seven and a half years ago, and handing over their lands to Hamasastan, lead destroyer of the IDF Hesder Yeshiva program.

...and last, but certainly not least....

Dr. Ruth Calderon - "Secular Talmud Scholar" (Translation: Let's manipulate the words of HaZa"L in order to justify doing what she wants.), co-founder of Elul, the first Israeli, secular, pluralistic and egalitarian Bet Midrash.

"...secular, pluralistic and egalitarian?"

That pretty much says it all, since none of these three concepts are in the least bit related to the Torah.

Yeah, this'll be some "Beit Midrash," alright!

The Yesh Atid Party: The Lies And Manipulation Begin

In freshman MK Ruth Calderon's (Yesh Atid) inaugural speech in the K'nesseth, she stated,....
"The Torah is not  the possession of one or another factor. It was given to all of us. Nobody has taken from us the Torah and rabbinic literature. We gave them over because we saw that there is another more important task of building Zionism, and now we must take back for ourselves what is ours... My desire is to bring about the situation that the Torah will be the possession of all of Israel. All of Israel's youth should take a portion of the burden - also in Torah learning and also in military service."
(Tip Credit: Life In Israel)
"Zionism cannot be separated from its source,...The Torah.  When it is, it is no longer Zionism.
-Esser Agaroth

Apparently, she also quoted Talmud, yet another example of how they intend to manipulate the Torah into justifying doing whatever the heck they want, and then calling it Jewish.

This is nothing new, of course.  The so-called "Reform Movement" has been doing this since its inception.  Its strategies have changed over the years, everything from denying the full authority of the Oral Torah and removing kippoth (male head coverings) to talking about "spirituality," and putting their kippoth back on.  Whatever they think will work, I suppose.

Speaking of the "Reform Movement," MK Calderon's Yesh Atid fearless leader, Yair Lapid has already stated that he intends to push for "civil marriage," whatever the heck THAT is, as well as acceptance so-called "Reform Judaism," even though there is no such thing.  (Did you get that?)

Yet, no doubt, this kind of rhetoric is music to the ears of so-called "Major American Jewish Organizations."  (Then, just how "Jewish" could these "Major American Jewish Organizations" be?)
Arutz 7: Lapid: I’ll Push Civil Marriage, Reform Judaism
Yair Lapid says his agenda includes civil marriage, dialog with Abbas, and bringing reform Judaism to Israel.
Maayana Miskin, February 12, 2013

Yair Lapid, head of the Yesh Atid party, spoke Tuesday at the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, held at the Inbal Hotel in Jerusalem. Lapid declared that his political agenda includes making the Reform and Conservative movements – both popular in the United States – equal to orthodox Judaism in terms of state support.

MK Yair "We'll do what we want!" Lapid
“I want to do everything in my power to ensure the equality between all movements of Judaism in the state of Israel, Orthodox, Conservative, or Reform,” he declared. “In conversions, in budgets, in the eyes of the law. No one can claim ownership over the Jewish God.”
Translation:  He would like to decide what God wants, instead of God Himself.  Oh, and Yair?  There's only One God, not a Jewish God along side others.

Did you catch that buzz word "conversions?"  Translation: Let's fill Israel with non-Jews who will vote for us, just like the Left has already tried by recruiting non-Jewish Ukrainians to make their homes in Israel, and is still trying to grant special status to the children of foreign workers from the Philappines, India, and other countries.

With all of the sham "conversions," just exactly how many of these so-called "Reform" are even really Jewish?
“Small, old, petty politics cannot determine something that is eternal as is the Jewish identity, this is just wrong,” he added.
You got it wrong, Yair.  This isn't about politics.  This about the Torah, the guide for how all Jews are supposed to live,...even you!
The “complete dominance of orthodox rabbis” over marriage “is an insult,” Lapid argued.
"The 'complete dominance of orthodox rabbis' over marriage" has been helping to preserve the Jewish People.  And besides, this "dominance," as Lapid calls it, is unfortunately losing ground, as I write this.

These "movements" have already been sneaking into the Israeli, public education system, and often present as legitimate and equal "denominations," just as Christianity has.  Tal"i is one of those programs, a conduit for this deception of our youth, and their parents.

Newspapers like Ha'Aretz and the Jerusalem Post have been presenting the "movements" as such.

Why is it that NOBODY wants to talk about the Elephant in the room?

Reform "Judaism" isn't Judaism.

Thus, Yesh Atid Party MK's Yair Lapid and Ruth Calderon are pushing Israel away from Judaism.

So, what does it mean that the Jewish Home/National "Religious" Party has teamed up with them?

Something worth investigating, don't you think?

The Yesh Atid Party: The Idiocy Begins

ל' להאחד עשר תשע"ג
Arutz 7: Yesh Atid MK Proposes Arab-Friendly National Anthem

February 10, 2013

Yesh Atid MK Ruth Calderon caused controversy Sunday with a suggestion that Israel solve the problem of Arab MKs’ disinclination to hear the national anthem by changing the anthem. “I was very sorry to hear that the Arab Members of Knesset left before ‘Hatikva’ was sung,” she wrote on her Facebook page.

“Does someone know of a way to alter the words so that they will include all citizens of Israel?” she asked. The anthem’s current words speak of the “Jewish spirit” and the historic Jewish longing to return to the land of Israel.

(Tip Credit: Jews News)
Arab appeasement?  Is that strategy really STILL around?  Are we still really that naive, stupid, or both?

Are we really that desperate for approval from a peoples that want to see the end of the Jewish Homeland?  Both Arabs AND many of those in the "international community" want to see the end of Israel as a Jewish Homeland, physically, spiritually, or both.

We already knew that the Left was interested in destroying any remaining Jewish character of Israel.  "Post-Zionist" extraordinaire, former MK Yossi Beilin (Meretz-Yachad) has spoken about no longer needing a Jewish State.  That pretty much says it all, and is much more straightforward than euphemisms like "democratic" and "multicultural."

Yesh Atid Party Leader Yair Lapid

Apparently, Yesh Atid Party Leader Yair Lapid has yet to counsel his MK's as to how, and how not, to present themselves in public.

Either that, or maybe we are now seeing even more of his nascent party's true colors showing through.

Probably both.

I wonder if MK Calderon will turn out to be the Avraham Poraz of the, now seemingly reincarnated, Shinu'i Party of Lapid's father, the late Yosef "Tommy" Lapid.

MK Avraham Poraz was known for his off the wall statements, such as "There are no poor people in Jerusalem."

MK Calderon is certainly off to a good start.
