״ / Israeli Left vs. "Right?"

Demonstration against government corruption

"For the right and the left, Netanyahu is a disaster."

"The people needs an honest democracy"

Police next to the "right-wing" counter-demonstration (photographed with permission of one of the officers)
"Israel State Police / No Passing"

"Right-wing" Counter-demonstration
The Left: "Corrupt People Go Home"
This past Saturday night, there was a demonstration against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on HaBimah Square in Tel Aviv (Marmorek/Ben-Tzion and Rothschild). The protestors claim that they were demonstrating against the corruption of the current government.

The Right: "Hypocrites, we're fed up with you."
On the other side of Marmorek Street, on the green space and bicycle path of Rothschild, there was a counter-protest by those identifying themselves as “right-wing.” They claimed that the protest against the prime minister and his government was hypocritical.

The Right: (L to R)"Bibi's blood has turned into nothing."
"My friend, there is no one like Bibi."
"Netanyahu, the people is with you."
Personally, I believe both of them are both right and wrong.

The demonstration against Netanyahu is hypocritical. However, it's true that Netanyahu isn't good for them nor for the right. The government destroys Jewish homes and gives away their land to Arabs, because of Arab complaints, who are encouraged by -- wait for it -- the left. This is not the reason they are demonstrating against Netanyahu. But, he is still a disaster for the right.

"Fix the Leak"
The left-wingers are mistaken about democracy. We do not need an upright democracy. Where exactly is democracy mentioned in the Torah?

The most important difference between the demonstrations was the police tape surrounding the “right wing,” along with the police officers guarding them. Or perhaps, they were guarding against them. The protest against the prime minister and his government there were only a few police officers roaming the area, and there wasn’t any police tape fencing them in. Maybe the “right-wing” had issues getting a permit. I have no idea.

But, it was very appropriate that this show was staged right next to the HaBimah Theater.

Get it?

Where was Mordechai on Purim? Not in Tel-Aviv

English follows the Hebrew.

There was a certain Jew in Shushan the capital, whose name was Mordechai the son of Ya'ir the son of Shim'i the son of Kish, a Benjaminite. (Esther 2:5)

The City of Tel Aviv has either forgotten the significance of Mordechai in Megilat Esther, and his part in saving the Jews within the Persian Empire, from Haman's ysh”w evil plan of extermination, or purposely left him out.

The sign is in English. So, in spite of the fact that many Tel-Avivians believe that English is the official language of the city, the sign is most assuredly intended for tourists. Christians might notice the omission. But, the City of Tel-Aviv undoubtedly knows that it takes little to no effort to encourage Christian tourism (…which personally I think should be discouraged). And so, Tel-Aviv places its efforts in attracting “progressives,” hippies, wanderers, and other assorted leftist Europeans and North Americans. Ignorant tourists who even bother to read this sign might notice the mention of a female name, and will certainly mention the so-called “custom of partying.”

Of course, I do not even have to mention the omission of The Almighty’s part in our salvation. After all, He is not explicitly mentioned in the text of Megilat Esther, and the Oral Torah is distorted, if not completely absent, from the minds of the powers that be. Plus, they would never want to mention God, as they wouldn’t want to encourage anyone even to think about Him, not to mention not wanting to offend anyone.
