Why Jews Should Come to Live in Israel?

On Shabbat, there was a terrorist attack at a Chabbad of Poway, northeast of the City of San Diego, CA.

Some Jews are writing about this be evidence of the need to "come home."

They're not wrong. We can either do this the easy(er) way, or the hard(er) way. We can get on the plane, or we can continue making excuses about our children being at the wrong age to move, or needing to finish an internship or one more year of work for a better pension, and waiting around for more of the proverbial kicks in the pants Jew hating terror attacks, before finally coming to Israel.

It's not about "coming home" to be safe. Look at all the terror attacks here in Israel? It's about Jews needing to wake up to realize that the U. S. (and other countries) are only supposed to be temporary dwelling places.

It's about Israel not just being the place in history where you learn for a year or do IDF service then heed your parents' calls to stop being silly and come home to get your degree (piece of paper).

It's about Israel being the proper place to invest our energies, and not just a place where to throw our money at it to ease our guilt, and pretend that we're doing our part.

It's about time to stop being an "armchair Zionist," and becoming a real one, some who doesn't just put his money where his mouth is, but puts his entire body, mind, and soul in along with his money.

Tel-Aviv Passover Ducks (Geese?)

Last night I happened upon this pair of ducks. These ducks were walking around the park near Tel Aviv City Hall. They were looking for food in the grass, managing to find some edible items, and were eating what they found, probably including hametz.

They did not seem to be phased by the people around them. And except for one man who was probably a tourist, and myself, I don't think any others enjoying the park noticed the noticed them, or if they did, were not phased by their presence.

Does anyone recognize this variety of duck? Anyone know about their migratory behavior?

Bizarre and Crazy Spring Weather in Israel!

Just at noon today, it was hailing in the central region of Israel! The hail was huge, bigger than chick peas. The Greater Tel Aviv Area is supposed to have a Mediterranean climate, like Southern California, Sydney, Australia, or Capetown, South Africa. It simply does not rain here in mid-April. April is when the hamsin season of heatwaves and sand storms begins.

It is also very odd, and not good, that this occurred only a day after Jews stopped praying for rain, and began praying for dew instead.

Perhaps the Ten Plagues are coming back, before our next geulah (redemption), before our next Exodus, the Exidus from Edom (The West)?

Parents Suspected of Kidnapping, Running Over Teenage Daughter

YNET: Parents suspected of kidnapping, running over teenage daughter
Ramle couple thought to have targeted 18-year-old, who lived in a different city, due to fears that her lifestyle would 'dishonor' the family name; teen escaped and was found wounded on road in Rahat

Ilana Curiel 04.18.19

Parents in Ramle are suspected of abducting their 18-year-old daughter, attacking her and running her over – all because they were unhappy with her lifestyle. On Thursday afternoon, the State Prosecutor's Office was set to indict the couple, both in their early forties, who have eight other children. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Why did this piece not mention that the family in question is an Arab family? Yes, the cities of Ramle and Rahat are mentioned, Ramle which was founded at the beginning of the eighth century, by the local governor and future caliph during the Arab occupation, and Rahat the largest Bedouin settlement, the second largest Arab city, in Israel.

If this young kidnapped woman had been a Jew who moved to Rahat to live with, or just to be closer to, her Arab boyfriend, and her parents had kidnapped her to prevent their mixed relationship from continuing, then there is no doubt that the leftist controlled Israeli media would have gone out of its way publicize this incident, and to keep this news cycle going much longer than usual.

Seriously, we would never hear the end of it, and the incident would still be brought up years from now.

Do you Feel Safer Being Filmed 24 Hours a Day?

English follows the Hebrew.

FILMED 24 HOURS
Please obey the provisions of the law
Inspectors' Department

This sign is at the entrance of the suburban city where I currently reside. I erased its name from the sign. We do not need that. You probably also have such signs in your communities. Just have to pay attention.

Why do state and local governments the powers that be want to put cameras all around us? To protect us, of course!

To protect us from thieves, murderers, and terrorists! (Even if we are not allowed to talk about the possibility that terrorists will also enter the suburbs.) What does it matter if we have to cancel our privacy? Now we feel safer! Thank you very much for our malpractice!

If you believe that a security camera system such as this is really only for our own good then ... Good luck to you.

You're gonna need it.
