Does the Land of Israel Belong to the Jews or Not?

English follows the Hebrew.

Jews have to decide already whether the Land of Israel belongs to them or not, declare it and work toward this goal.

If not, the Jewish People risk losing it all.

A few months ago in YNET.CO.IL maps of West Bank settlements were shown, which included parts marked as areas claims by Yishma'elim (Arabs).

And now Amona, an outpost on a hill east of the town of Ofra in the territory of the tribe of Benjamin, accepted a compromise between cancelling the destruction of the outpost, and transferring it northward to the town of Eli, or something else. I never invested the time and energy to check out the details on the news. Does it really matter? What is most important to know is that most of the residents of Judea and Samaria have declared a victory against the State (the High Court).

Nonsense! Such excellent examples of brainwashing indoctrination of the state religious school system!

And all because some Yishmaeli claims that some of this land belongs to him. No need to ask where it was 15 years ago outpost. No need to ask how the Yishmaeli's documents which supposedly prove that this area belongs to him, suddenly came to the court after all this time.

But what does need to be asked is:

Why do Mamlakhti (diehard state loyalist) "rabbis" continue to educate their communities make the mistake that there is no difference between keeping Torah and mitzvoth and keeping the laws of the State of Israel? Are they too afraid of the government to tell their followers the truth? Or are they, too, casualties of the State's education system's indoctrination?

Even so, when will Jews wake up to the increasing number of conflicts between the Torah and the State's laws? Are they really that blind to them?

And even if there were room for democracy in a truly Jewish, sovereign nation, when will Jews wake up to the fact that the State of Israel is not even, a truly democratic state? In a real democratic country, the Supreme Court does not cancel any law it simply does not like, and which goes against its [anti-Torah] agenda.

It is true that Jews shouted one of the ministers who came to Ofra and did not let him speak. And these Jews were right to do so.

But we have seen this all before. We have seen this all before, many times. And each and every time something like that happens these Jews eventually calm down, and forget about the tragedy which they just endured.

This has all happened before, and I am afraid that it will all happen again.

Is This Hanukkah?

Only Simchas: Watch: Obama Hosts His Last Chanuka Reception at White House Using Shimon Peres' Menorah

2016-12-14

President Barack Obama hosted his final Chanuka reception at the White House where a menorah owned by the family of late Israeli President Shimon Peres was lit.

The menorah is one preserved during the Holocaust by the Waldens, the family of Peres’ son-in law, and was used for years at family Hanukkah lightings.

“The menorah survived the Holocaust and was carried from Poland, to France, and finally, to Israel by the family of the Ninth President Peres’ son-in-law, Professor Rafi Walden,” said the statement. “The late Ninth President Shimon Peres, who was raised on Jewish values and traditions at the knee of his grandfather, Rabbi Zvi Melzer, lit the Hanukkah candles every year, and made sure that this special menorah held a place of honor in the Walden-Peres family.”

Peres’ son, Chemi, and granddaughter, Mika Almog, attended the ceremony, which you can watch below. The service was run by Rabbi Steven Exler of the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale. (Skip to the 45 minute mark)

The White House will also host an evening Chanuka reception starting at 7:35 p.m. EST, which OnlySimchas News will stream live online.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
I am just beside myself over this report.

The event itself?

Not so much.

No real surprises here.

An American president, pushing for the removal of Jews from the Land Divinely promised to them, hosts a "Hanukkah reception" .

Barack Obama
An "Open Orthodox rabbi" participates, in what I can only assume is a demonstration of a Jewish holiday observance at the seat of Esau's power, and not an manifestation of לא תוסף עליו, ולא תגרע ממנו, the prohibition against adding and subtracting from the Torah (משנה תורה הל׳ ממרים ב,יג [ט]).

But, seriously? Did a Hanukkiyah really have to be lit? I guess the visual "special effect" was expected.

(I'll give you a topic. "Open Orthodox rabbis are neither open, orthodox, nor even rabbis." Discuss amongst yourselves.)

Shimon Peres
Shimon Peres, quintessential Erev Rav, believing in the removal of borders, chipping away at Torah, assimilation into a global community, and the unification of Esau with Yishma'el, is praised.

Hanukkah is about a war against assimilation, and against Jewish collaborators. Hanukkah is one of our most politically-incorrect holidays. But, you would never know it from such an event. Would you?

As pessimistic as this may sound, none of the above surprised me. Not in the least.

What did surprise me was that this event was publicized on Only Simchas.

Where is the simcha (happiness) in collaborating with the supposed leader of the Western world (Believe me when I tell you that there are quite a few individuals much higher up in the food chain that Barack Obama.), who, interestingly enough, who has a mother from Esau, and a father from Yishma'el.

It may be necessary for Jews to get along with their non-Jewish neighbors, and not cause trouble in their non-Jewish host countries. But, slobbering over and kushen tuchus (Google it!) someone who fought against The Almighty's Will for the Jewish People? Is this really necessary? No. But, like I said. This event did not surprise me in the least.

Where is the simcha in praising an individual who fought against The Almighty's Will for the Jewish People from within Israel? Using his family's hallowed menorah seems apropos.

Where is the simcha in potentially misleading uneducated and assimilated Jews regarding how to observe a Jewish holiday?

If you answered, "There isn't any" to the above questions, then you answered correctly.

How Many Israelis does it Take to Write a Constitution?

Answer? None.

Why? Keep reading.

I was bored and didn't have the ko'ah to write in Hebrew, so when I saw this from Abu Yehuda "A blog about the struggle to keep the Jewish state."
Israel needs a constitution, but won’t get one
Posted on December 4, 2016 by Vic Rosenthal

Israel’s Declaration of Independence states that a constitution for the State of Israel “shall be adopted by the Elected Constituent Assembly not later than the 1st October 1948.”

Clearly they’re running a little late. And this is more than Jewish standard time. Despite (or because of) the Jewish proclivity for legalistic arguments, this never happened. In 1950, the Knesset gave up and decided instead to work toward a constitution piecemeal by passing a series of Basic Laws that taken together would ultimately serve the purpose of a constitution. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
We already have a Constitution. It's called the Torah. Democracy, or in Israel's case deMOCKracy, is good for the goyim, not for us.

Glad you're back in Israel. But, remind me again what's Jewish about the "Jewish" state?

OK. So, I know this sounds a little smarmy, even though it's really not supposed to. The reality is that Vic just handed me an opportunity to remind you (get through your thick skulls) about the following:

Vic has at put his money where his mouth is, and has moved back to Israel, where all Jews belong. This is a heck of a lot more than I can say about all you armchair "Zionists" out there in the U. S., who really have no clue, and many of whom still believe that organizations such as B'nei B'rith, the ADL, and AIPAC are actually good for Israel.

So, why am I so facetious? It is SO frustrating how the Israeli public keeps repeating the same mistakes over again, expecting different results. We believe we're voting for a "right-wing" coalition, when in fact they're all just the same, more concerned with what the so-called "international community" thinks of us, rather than what its own constituency thinks, not to mention what HaShem thinks.

Binyamin Netanyahu gave away control over Hevron, Yericho, and Azza, not Yitzhaq Rabin. (*Sure, Rabin gave Arab guns, but does most of the Israeli public even remember that?)

Video: Hero chastised by journalists for mentioning the government's arming of Arabs

Ariel Sharon kicked almost 10,000 Jews out of their homes, not Shimon Peres. (Well, actually, that's not exactly true, is it? Who was really in control of the "Sharon Government?")

Naftali Bennett's "plan" for Arab autonomy and granting other Arabs Israeli citizenship violates the negative commandment of "lo techonem" (Deut. 7:2)*. So do all other leftist land giveaways. But, Bennett has a kippah on his head, and that's suppose to mean something, right??!! No. Not really.

Bennett's Plan vs. Arafat's Plan
Can you tell the difference?
Meanwhile, those politicians who to question the direction of the State, and who do actually speak for the people, get pushed out of the way: Moshe Feiglin, Michael Ben-Ari, Yoni Chetboun, Eli Yishai, and -- dare I mention -- Rabbi Meir Kahane hy"d.

As "impractical" and "unrealistic" this may sound, we need to be talking just as much about the long-term, and not just about the band-aids to fix the unfixable, unfair and (yes, I am going to say it...) ultimately anti-Torah, Israeli system of government.

As I hinted above, the average Israeli (...and the surveys always say that's religious/traditional, right of center, and against all land giveaways) continues to vote for those whom he believes stand for what he stands for, and is continually disappointed.

One of the biggest problems is the self-perpetuating, legislating from the Bench, Israel Supreme Court. Its justices are not going anywhere, with or without legislation. The only thing getting rid of them is some event or events which will them to reveal their foreign passports (alla former Knesseth Speaker Avraham Burg), and to escape on the first plane out of here. This Court is the ultimate example of the illusion of an Israeli democracy.

In addition, the masses have been thoroughly indoctrinated brainwashed into believing that the State of Israel is a real democracy, and that it has successfully adapted this Hellenist form of government to fit the Jewish People. Even though Jews are obligated to live according to HaShem's Will, vis-à-vis the Torah, and the number of conflicts between Israeli Law and Torah Law rises on a regular basis. And so, the Israeli public has been convinced that it must [settle to] be like every other nation in the world.

So, do we really need a Constitution,...like every other nation of the world?

No. Of course not. We have the Torah.

Besides, any Constitution which ever gets written will undoubtedly

*********

*This assumes that Israel is in actually control over the Land (eg. issues the local currency, etc.). Sometimes, I'm not so sure.

Who is Burning Israel?

English follows the Hebrew.

Photo: Stand With Israel

According to ynet.co.il news flash, there are fires all around the country. The Techion University is deciding whether to evacuate its campus, Prime Minister Netanyahu is visiting sites of the fires. And the ISA` (Shabba"k) is investigating the possibility of nationalistic motivations behind the fires.

The map above shows the major sites of the fires. A closer look reveals that one of those sites is the Neveh Shalom kibbutz, where Jews and Arabs, live together,...in "peace."

However, the Arabs apparently want to burn them, too.

Food for thought.

The Israeli Supreme Court's War on the Torah Continues

English follows the Hebrew.

HaAretz: Israeli Court Delays Appointment of Top Army Rabbi Who Implied Rape Permitted in Wartime
In response to Meretz petition, justices demand affidavit clarifying Col. Eyal Karim's past contentious remarks, including calling gays 'sick' and terrorists 'animals.'

Gili Cohen , Sharon Pulwer and Jonathan Lis Nov 21, 2016

Israel's High Court of Justice issued an interim order on Monday to delay the appointment of Col. Eyal Karim as the new chief rabbi of the Israel Defense Forces. The court ordered Karim to clarify his positions in light of reports of problematic statements – including on issues concerning women and gays – that he has made in the past.

In response to the court's order, the IDF cancelled Wednesday's planned ceremony at which Karim was due to officially replace the current chief rabbi, Brig. Gen. Rafi Peretz.

The High Court's decision was taken at a hearing Monday after a petition was filed by the Meretz party against Karim’s appointment, which was proposed by IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot. During the hearing, the justices criticized a number of statements made years ago by Karim. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
So, basically, we have a secular court with the power to intervene in the appointment of a rabbi. Not only that, but , most (all?) of the judges of this High Court are disqualified under Torah Law from providing testimony in a Rabbinic Court, and thus disqualified from serving as judges of Torah Law.

We have a non-Jewish judge telling Jews what the Torah says. Even more so, we have a Christian judge, one who lacks the Oral Torah, and thus could not possibly understand the Written Torah, in the first place.

Let us take a look at what the actually Torah says, vis-à-vis Rabbi Karim's comments:

As a civilian, over a decade ago, Karim was asked about the biblical verses relating to how a soldier should act during wartime if he sees a beautiful woman behind enemy lines and wants to rape her. At the time, Karim reportedly said, "Although fraternizing with a non-Jewess is a very bad thing, it is allowable in war out of consideration for the difficulties of the fighters."
When you go out to war against against your enemies, and the LORD your God delivers them into your hands, and you carry them away captive, 11 and sees among the captives a woman of goodly form, and you have a desire for her, and would take her to wife... (Deut. 21:10-11)
Gay Men:
And if a man lie with mankind, as with womankind, both of them have committed abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. (Lev. 20:13)
Arab Terrorists as animals:
Behold, you are with child, and will bear a son; and you will call him Ishmael, because the LORD hath heard your affliction. And he will be a wild ass of a man: his hand shall be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he will dwell in the face of all his brethren. (Gen. 16:11-12)
You can agree or disagree, like or dislike, but the point is that is statements regarding what the Torah says are not out of the blue, not even close.

It is not that they do not like Rabbi Karim's understanding of the Torah. They don't, of course. But, rather, it is that the do not like the Torah period. The thought of the Torah having anymore influence in Israel than the little that it already does, both angers and frightens them.

These judges may simply want the State of Israel to be like any other member state of a global community, and want The People of Israel to be like any other people. But, those who are pulling their strings, whether they know it or not, are trying to destroy the Jewish People, and Jewish sovereignty over the Land, from within.

Update:
Rabbi Karim believes his statements were distorted. MK Zahava Gal-On believes that Rabbi Karim has recanted on his statements, and that this is [some sort of] of victory [for the Mere"tz Party and the Left].

My guess is that Rabbi Karim was speaking about these issues in class and theoretically in the first place.

I stand by the main point of the this post.

The Kidnapped Yemenite Children Document Release

English follows the Hebrew.

YNET: Yemenite Children Affair documents to be released
Hundreds of thousands of documents relating to the disappearance of thousands of Yemenite children during the founding of the state are to be released on Sunday.

Moran Azulay, 12.11.16

After decades of struggling, the public may finally be able to have access to documents which deal with the investigations into the disappearance of thousands of Yemenite child immigrants on Sunday.

These children along with children, whose families originate in Muslim countries in the Middle East and the Balkans, went missing during the first years of the State of Israel.

Minister Tzahi Hanegbi will submit a proposal on the issue. As long as there are no last-minute roadblocks, hundreds of thousands of documents will be brought to light regarding this tragic period wherein thousands of children were allegedly kidnapped from their parents.

The minister is expected to request the government to put all of the documents on an internet site so that they will be easily accessible and so that the suffering of these families will finally come to an end.

The draft resolution indicated that the public interest must be taken into account when exposing these documents. This, in conjunction with court orders regarding the protection of privacy, and other secrets. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
The planned release of documents related to the kidnapping of non-Ashkenazy babies has been in the works for some time now. But I am not sure what to make of it.

Now that Peres is dead, will the real "truth" be revealed? Or will a planned continuation of the cover-up continue, with the release of documents filled with omissions and misdirection?

The above report continues with...
Several of the documents related to the issue won't be allowed to be published due to national security issues and personal privacy laws.
Well, I guess that answers my question, doesn't it?

I think it's just silly that people put their faith in any one human being, Clinton OR Trump.

People in Israel are celebrating in the streets, and I think it's just as silly. Theoretically, I think that Trump would be better than Clinton. And, he does have Jewish grandchildren. Let's not forget that!

But, so what?

President-elect Trump says he will finally move the U. S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, where it belongs. But, what does that matter if Prime Minister Netanyahu is dividing up the Capital anyway? And, by the way, he is doing it right under our noses.

Israel needs to stop depending on the U. S. or anyone else on the outside. Even my uber-liberal stepmother agrees with this statement.

I think that all of you Clinton supporters should be consoled, because I am not sure just how well Washington establishment, Republicans will be able to "work and play together nicely" with President Trump. And so, just how much legislation will he be able to get through Congress?

Only time will tell.

Oh, and did I mention that the U. S. is not the Jewish homeland? So, Jews really have no business investing in it financially, emotionally, or otherwise,...and certainly not spiritually, for goodness sakes!

Oh, and just in case you weren't paying attention, I wrote homeland, and not homestate. There is a difference, you know?

Duma Investigation Documents were Lost

Kol Chai: Documents from the Duma Case have disappeared: "Attempted Cover-Up"
Shalom Bidderman, 1 Marheshvan 5777/November 2, 2016

The trial of the youth, who was investigated in the Duma Case, and eventually charged for something else [from two years ago], has revealed a hint as to the future of proceedings for this defendant, after the prosecutor declared that documents from the case disappeared.

Where did the documents from the Duma investigation disappear? The Jerusalem District Court is expected to give a decision in the next few days on the requests of the attorney for the youth who was under investigation in the Duma case, and eventually indicted and for another incident, and give her the complete files on the investigation.

For several months Siniah Haruzi Moses, the lawyer representing the youth through the Honenu organization, has repeatedly asked for various documents from the investigation which have not yet been given to her. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Surprised?

Why are you surprised?

I'll tell you why you are surprised, or even in shocked about it.

Do you think the government actually cares about its citizens? Sure, government officials claim they are working on behalf of the majority. Then they can justify what they are doing, in other words, whatever they want to do. Those who adhere to the laws of the Torah over the laws of the State (when they are in conflict, and the conflicts are increasing day by day) are in the minority. Those in the Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) community ... make due, and pretty much take of themselves. ... Secular Jews grew up state education system (What can you do?). Those in the so-called national religious community... also grew up in the state education, in the "religious" sector. Now they are just very... confused.

Government officials do not see any of these communities as threats to its control. Not at all.

But those who go by the laws of the Torah before the laws of the country? Those who have the audacity to see The Holy One, Blessed Be He, on a higher level than the State, and refuse to see them as the same?

The State (or rather, the people who really are really in control of the State) see these Jews as dangerous.

Therefore, I am surprised about only one thing: That a report on this actually made the news.

I suspect an ulterior motive.

Worse yet, is that Jews actually care what those outside of Israel think, and that we allow such things to affect us (ie. national co-dependence!), instead of standing on our own feet, and caring about what The Holy One, Blessed Be He thinks of us.

Impractical? Unrealistic?

Either the First and Second Temples existed, or they didn't (חו״ח).

Either the Temple Mount, and the rest of Eretz Yisrael, belongs to the Jewish People, or is doesn't.

Either the Torah (...the ENTIRE Torah, Written AND Oral) is the truth, or it is not.

Either HaShem is on our side, or He is not.

There isn't any grey area here. It is all black and white.

The Night the Jewish Lights Went Out in Georgia!

JTA: University of Georgia Jewish students riled by homecoming concert set for Yom Kippur
September 21, 2016

(JTA) — Jewish students at the University of Georgia have objected to a homecoming concert because it was scheduled for Yom Kippur eve and the band is known for its Christian rock music.

The concert featuring Needtobreathe was set for Oct. 11, the university announced Monday.

Two years ago, hundreds of students petitioned the university to change the annual homecoming football game from Yom Kippur.

Stan Jackson, director of student affairs communications and marketing initiatives, said in a statement emailed Tuesday to the student newspaper, The Red and Black, that the date chosen for the concert was the only day that the Stegeman Coliseum, the event venue, was available.

“Some students who observe Yom Kippur may be disappointed with the date chosen,” Jackson said in the statement. “Representatives from University Union and UGA Homecoming are in correspondence with Jewish student organizations such as Hillel at UGA and Chabad at UGA to explain the logistics that required that date to be selected.”

Delaney Fox, a junior who is Jewish, told WSB-TV Atlanta, “It’s upsetting that they don’t take into account that there’s going to be a large number of students that can’t attend.”

Needtobreathe was selected for its popularity, not its religious affiliation, according to Jackson.

“The student groups compare several performers each year in terms of popularity, not content, and strive to select an artist that will appeal to as many students and community members as possible,” the statement said.

Homecoming activities will take place during the entire week.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
This report on the University of Georgia's Homecoming Week is old, but I still cannot let it go. It is an example of just how hopelessly stuck Jews are in their exile.

I cannot decide which part of the report is sadder, that Jews are so concerned about missing one day in a full week of Homecoming celebrations, or believing that a Southern university was going to consider cancelling a performance, because it was by Christian group,...and because the Jewish students didn't like it. Some reports seemed to suggest that Jewish students were upset that they would be excluded from attending the concert,...the concert with a Christian Rock band. That would be very sad, indeed.

When I was in college, I too wanted to be attend university events. I cannot fault them for that. But, I suppose I had it easier, having gone to UCLA. There was no way that the Homecoming, nor the UCLA vs. USC game was ever going to conflict with a Jewish holiday,...not in Los Angeles.

Weeding through the various, sloppy reports, floating around the internet in one form or another, finally revealed that the Homecoming game was not actually held on Yom Kippur.

No one raises an eyebrow about University of Georgia games being held on Shabboth, and with the well-known, Jewish player's participation, no less. Nor would I expect them, too. They're just not there, yet.

I suppose we should be grateful that at least these Jewish students still care enough to know they need to stay away from Christian events, and that Yom Kippur is important. Unfortunately, some, if not more than some, believe that starving for a full day, accompanied by utter boredom, not knowing what is going on in a place they frequent a handful of times a year, is what this day called Yom Kippur is all about. And, of course, this is not what Yom Kippur is about at all.

Two years ago, right after Yom Kippur, Jewish students felt the brunt of southern hospitality at Emory University, just around the corner from the University of Georgia. I can only imagine the incidents which have unreported. Yet, these Jews insist on calling Georgia,...and the U. S. in general their home.

The night the lights went out in Georgia was long ago. But, Jewish lights there are still out.

I pray that they will be turned back on soon.

*********

Note: I am aware that Atlanta has a strong and growing Jewish community. I am happy to write that I have met quite a few Jews, students, families, and lone IDF soldiers, here in Israel, whose lights turned on long ago.

More Self-Destructive Actions by American Jews

JTA: 184 US synagogues pledge to welcome, support refugees
September 12, 2016

(JTA) — Some 184 Jewish congregations and communities in the U.S. signed a pledge of support for refugees, promising to take action to help those seeking shelter in the country.

The “Welcome Campaign” is being organized by the refugee support and advocacy group HIAS (formerly the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society), which was founded in 1881 to help Jewish immigrants fleeing pogroms in Russia and Eastern Europe.

The letter — “an affirmative statement in support of welcoming refugees” to the United States — says signatories will support refugees in various ways, including through education, advocacy and fundraising, and on the local level.

“The American Jewish response to the largest refugee crisis recorded in history is really about who we want to be as American Jews,” Rabbi Jennie Rosenn, vice president of community engagement at HIAS, said in a statement.

“All across the country, local Jewish communities are acting on their values and insisting as Americans and as Jews that desperate families be given the chance to rebuild their lives in safety. Together, we are refusing to be silent bystanders at this historic moment.”
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Although one can, and should, make the argument that Jews must "get along" in the exile  while still there, with the non-Jews in whose lands they dwell, these Jews have definitely lost it, trying to beat. the non-Jews at their own insanity.

An organization which once aided Jewish immigrants fleeing pogroms in Russia and Eastern Europe, now helping Muslim, non-refugees to infiltrate the U. S. is a total embarrassment, not to mention increasing the danger to Jews still too stubborn, or for some other reason, unable to immigrate to their only, true homeland, the Land of Israel.

This is really the same old distortion of the Torah, now know by the hijacked term of "social justice."

So-called "liberal" Jews love to throw around the following verse from the Torah, from last week's Torah portion, in fact:
Justice, justice you shall pursue,.... (Deut. 16:20)
But, they always leave out the last part of the verse, or perhaps they simply remain in denial about it. They would much rather do what they do best, that is make it up as they go along.

Justice, justice you shall pursue, you may live, and inherit the land which the LORD your God has given you. (Deut. 16:20)
These Jews, consciously or not, look for every possible way to neglect their only, true homeland, and staying continually and comfortably assimilated in the U. S.

And, of course, they area speaking only of some distorted form of justice, evolved out of the current Western exile (Edom), as opposed to Torah justice. This same distortion is applied by JTA and others, considering all Jewish communities equal. They're not.

The fact that the pseudo-rabbi's name is Jennie says all there is to say.

The State of Israel's Bread and Circuses/

English follows the Hebrew.

Haim Ifargan - "Afraid To Fall In Love"

Two weeks ago there was a show of ... I do not remember the name of the singer. I saw it when I got off the bus near my building. Speakers were set very high volume. Really cool. I asked one of the ushers, a teenage boy when the show is scheduled for completion. He told me at midnight. But by law there is no noise is allowed after 23:00, I told him. He responded that they received a permit from city hall.

City Hall. Just great! This means my property taxes helped pay for this performance.

This concert ended at midnight ... sort of. Needless to say, it was very difficult to concentrate or even think about anything during the show. What was I supposed to do?

A week ago, there was another show and I happened to like the style of this performance much better than the last. The volume was more normal than the last and finished by 23:00 as should have. I did not mind the music at all and actually enjoyed it. Ah! My property taxes paid for it!

All the time, I see my neighborhood "cultural events" advertised. We all need to know the word "culture" is meant to usurp the Torah. In some neighborhoods singers wear yamakules. In other neighborhoods they specifically do not.

I am not opposed to music or local concerts. I am opposed to what [I think] is the government's intention in putting on these performances, these "cultural events."

Ancient Rome promised the people "bread and circuses." And this is just what we have in the State of Israel. Concerts sponsored by government councils make citizens forget about all the problems that exist around them,... and perhaps, to forget that the government intends to enlarge the Arab neighborhood next to them.

The bread that is subsidized by the state, it helps them to foster dependence on the state, and to forget their spiritual hunger.

The above video is from the singer I did like who was in concert. Even I am vulnerable to music, in spite of the intentions of the powers that be.

Barry Chamish z"l

Barry Chamish z"l
A few days days ago, Barry Chamish passed away, in exile, apparently in his sleep, at the age of 64. I say in exile, as he spent his final years in the U. S., not in his beloved Israel.

Barry was one of the most demonized writers in the world, and for what? Because he put the truth out there, the truth many could not believe, and even more did not want to believe.

Of the headlines announcing his death,...
The Jerusalem Post discounts him.

The Jewish Press mentions his interest in alien encounters.

And Arutz 7 identifies him as a writer and conspiracy theorist (which he was). Nevertheless...
Barry was best known for his book Who Killed Yitzchak Rabin?, in which he exposes the inconsistencies in the investigation into the former Israeli prime minister's death, as well as the possible involvement of the Shabba"k, Israel's secret police, now re-branded as the ISA (Israeli Security Agency).

Barry was teased and mocked, even by friends of mine, and readers of this blog. Yet, even Rabin's daughter, former MK Daliah Rabin-Philosoph (Labor), has said that she does not believe we know know the full story of her father's death.

Barry was constantly criticizing another one of Israel's former prime ministers, as well as former president, Shimon Peres, accusing him of everything from involvement in irradiating Jewish children, giving away Israel's land through the Oslo "Death" Accords, collaborating with the Vatican to give them control of King David's Tomb and other properties, to involvement in Rabin's death.

Barry claimed that both he and his family had been threatened. The last threat to his life was a car accident, which wasn't an accident, claiming that an attending physician even told him so. This "accident" was the last straw for Barry, and he left Israel, claiming that it was for his own safety.

No, Barry did not get it right all of the time. He made mistakes, and I was one to call him on them. But, overall, his endeavors to expose evil were heroic.

But, as one well-known Jerusalem rabbi, controversial himself, and no fan of Barry's, once put it...

"Even if Barry Chamish is only 5% right, we're in big trouble."

http://www.barrychamish.com/

Barry's legacy also includes...

His attempts to bring the kidnappers of Yemenite Jewish children almost 70 years ago, to justice. "Coincidentally," one day after Barry's death MK Tzachi HaNegbi (Likud) announces the declassification of documents related to the investigation into these kidnappings. Do not expect anything earth-shattering from this declassification.

His ongoing efforts to expose those responsible for radioactivity experiments on Jewish children, mostly of North African origins.

His book Bye, Bye, Gaza, in which he recounts the inevitable Gaza giveaway, which so many Jews refused to see coming.

And, in my opinion, probably his most important work, his exposé of Labor Zionism, its collaborative efforts with the Nazis, its responsibility for the deaths of countless Jews, and its current endeavors to destroy the Jewish nature of Israel, from within, can be heard in this interview with Kerry Cassidy (August 14, 2012).
Also recommend are Dr. Daisy Stern's Barry Chamish ברוך דיין אמת - זצ"ל and Asking Some Hard Questions after Barry's Passing.

You can review his various other works on hi website BarryChamish.com.

Say what you will about Barry Chamish. But, he was brave, and said what needed to be said, which much more that I can say about so many others.

This Tisha b'Av was Much Sadder Than You Thought

English follows the Hebrew.

YNET: 7 Jews removed from Temple Mount on Tishva B'Av after breaking rules
2000 years after the destruction of the Second Temple and the exiling of the people of Israel from their home, Jews commemorate Tisha B'Av with fasting, lamentations, and efforts to build bridges and end gratuitous hatred.

YNET reporters, 14.08.16

Seven Jewish visitors were detained and removed from the Temple Mount after breaking the rules for visiting the holy site on Sunday morning, while over 300 Jewish visitors were allowed into the complex during the fast of Tisha B'Av.

While police was removing the Jewish visitors from the site, Muslims started crowding around them and calling out insults. The police pushed back the crowd and accompanied the group to the exit from the complex. Several of the Muslim worshipers were also detained and removed from the site.

The Second Temple was destroyed and the people of Israel exiled from their home 2000 years ago. The Jewish people remember the death, destruction and devastation every year with a fast on Tisha B'Av (9th of the Jewish month of Av). (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
What "rules" did these Jews break, warranting their removal from Har HaBayith (the Temple Mount), and by Jewish police officers no less?

Did they pray? Did they arrive wrapped in a Talith (fringed, four cornered, Jewish garments). Did they prostrate themselves on the stone floor of the azarah? Did they cry?

Yes. All of these actions are against the rules,...for Jews.

Muslims may pray on Har HaBayith, but not Jews. So much for freedom of religious expression, which is the new motto of the "Jewish Democratic" State.

Tomer Devorah writes about a woman, from a group of wannabe apikourusim, who explains why she was not going to fast on Tisha b'Av. She favors her "feelings" over the Torah, as if she even cares about what the Torah says in the first pace.

Nevertheless, these "Jews" are battling against the Torah, although many of them do not realize this. And as far as being Jews goes, how many of their followers are actually Jews? I have no idea, but due to their sham "conversions" and intermarriage, the numbers continue to decrease every year.

Then there is the woman who writes about how she does not want to see the Beth HaMiqdash be re-built. She is truly misguided, and I think that is being kind.

The State, which kicks Jews off of Har HaBayith, and both of these women are examples of how so many Jews are stuck in the grip of our current exile, the exile of Edom. Edom, the inheritance of Esau, Jacob's brother, is essentially the West (Malbi"m).

The nations of the West themselves, include both the conservative Christians, who have rejected Torah sheb'al Peh (Oral Torah), and the libertine "progressives," many of whom who do not believe in God int he first place.

These groups all may seem different to you. But, what these descendants of Esau all have in common is that they all either distort or reject entirely Torah sheb'al Peh (Oral Torah). Instead they operate based on their "feelings," just like their predecessor, and not at all like Ya'aqov, who operates based on The Almighty's Holy Torah in its entirety, the ultimate statement of His Will.

The Arabs at the Olympics are doing us a Favor/

Ori Sasson

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Israelis get upset when Arab (Lebanese) athletes prevent our athletes from getting on the bus at the Olympics.

Israelis are proud of these athletes who stop fighting the Arabs and decided to go for the next bus.

Israelis get upset about the Egyptian (Arab) judokah when he refused to shake our athlete's hand.

Israelis get excited about his victory, and his receiving the bronze medal.
"Now the non-Jewish nations around the world understand that we are just like them! And now they love us and will wake up to the fact that we (Israelis and Jews) are the victims, and not the 'Palestinians' (Arabs) and  that they are the inciters."

These Arabs are doing us a favor, and only a few Jews can see it. We are supposed to be a separate and distinct nation. The rejection of us by the nations is taken as a slight to our collective ego. It should be taken as a message.

And why are we participating in the Olympics anyway? I am not against athletics, or even athletic competition, but we need to remember its ultimate goal for us, to prepare for war, and defending ourselves. Marshall Arts like Judo are particularly helpful.

Once the Greeks took part in sports competitions nude. And Jews drew perform circumcisions hide that they are Jews to these competitions participated.

We forget why the holiday of Hanukkah exists. It is the festival which marks the victory of the Jews against the Greeks, their influence over us, and our fight for Torah observance.

Before the victory of the Maccabees, many Jews wanted to be like all of the other nations.

And today? Has the situation changed?

Israel Back to the Beach!

Erev Shabboth, I was at the separate (religious) beach in Tel-Aviv. The lifeguard made an announcement on the load speaker that they had a meduza (jellyfish) of a not so common species in a bucket, and that anyone wanted to come see, should come.

The meduza's color is distorted here, due to the shadow. It is actually a milky, translucent white.

It is meduza season now, so be careful. You do not want to get stung by one of these!

How Much did We Have to Pay for This?

English follows the Hebrew. The video is in Hebrew with English subtitles.

All of us in Israel have already seen the new 200 sheqqel note.

However, how many of us have seen the pamphlet about the new 200 sheqqel note? (pictured above)

This pamphlet his printed on heavy paper, thick, almost like construction paper, and with a laminated cover, and in four languages.

No doubt that this is a very expensive pamphlet. Why do we need such an expensive thing? Why didn't the government make something much cheaper than this? I wonder whose idea this was.

Was it the idea of the same women who chose only Ashkenazi poets for the new bank notes? The one who said there weren't any Sepharadi poets to choose from? You know, the one we can call a racist, because calling a government official a name is apparently still a crime?

To read what I already wrote about the new 20 sheqqel and 50 sheqqel notes, click here.

Is this plastic currency really worth anything anyway?

But, I digress...

And who paid for this fancy, new pamphlet?

We did.

Is Minister Naftali Bennett an Expert in Torah Law?

English follows the Hebrew.

Naftali Bennett, Minister of Education

YNET: Defense Ministry, Bennett condemn rabbi who called LGBT community ‘perverts'
'The Halacha is not meant to be used to divide us or single out people or groups,' says Education Minister Bennett as Defense Ministry director-general seeks clarifications from the pre-army preparatory yeshiva the rabbi heads.

Yoav Zitun, Kobi Nachshoni|, 18.07.16

The Defense Ministry, as well as Education Minister Naftali Bennett, on Monday harshly condemned comments made by a rabbi of a pre-army preparatory yeshiva who called LGBT persons "perverts."

Rabbi Yigal Levinstein, a central educational figure in the religious sector, also criticized the IDF for having permitted the LGBT persons to insert their worldview in the military system.
World view? Their agenda. And he is absolutely correct in doing so. Granted, in a State which claims that it is a democracy, they should be afforded the right to free speech, but then so should Rabbi Levinstein.

This is simply another example of the double standards which exist within the State of Israel.
…The ministry did not, however, responded (sic.) to questions regarding the measures it intends to take if the rabbi does not renege on his comments.

Education Minister Naftali Bennett (Bayit Yehudi) also criticized the rabbi's comments, saying "the Halacha (Jewish law) is meant to determine what is permitted and what is forbidden, it was not meant to serve as a tool to divide us or to single out people, identities or sectors. One cannot use derogatory terms against an entire public of people and then hide behind the Halacha. These comments are unacceptable in my opinion. This is not the way of the religious-Zionist movement.”
That’s because what Bennett refers to as the “religious zionist movement,” is neither religious nor even zionist.

The Torah most certainly does single out people, identities, and sectors, the Ramba"m explains.

The following individuals do not have a portion in the world to come. Rather, their [souls] are cut off and they are judged for their great wickedness and sins, forever: the Minim (such as the Jews who were the early Christians), the Epikoursim, those who deny the Torah, those who deny the resurrection of the dead and the coming of the [Messianic] redeemer, those who rebel [against God], those who cause the many to sin, those who separate themselves from the community, those who proudly commit sins in public as Jehoyakim did, those who betray Jews to gentile authorities, those who cast fear upon the people for reasons other than the service of God, murderers, slanderers, one who extends his foreskin [so as not to appear circumcised].
(Mishneh Torah, Hil. Teshuva 3:14 [6])

Of course, the identification of these particular people is neither for me nor Naftali Bennett to determine. Nevertheless, these people, identities, and sectors exist, and are singled out.
Bennett, who was speaking at the Knesset, added "I'm not a rabbi and I don't pretend to be a great Torah scholar. I cannot interpret the Halacha.
Wait for it! He is going to “interpret it anyway.
But I am a religious Jew who loves the Torah and tries to live according to its laws. I'm also the education minister for over 2 million students,...
May God help us!
...and I am the leader of the Bayit Yehudi movement. And this I know: Reality and life are far more complicated than what's forbidden and what's permitted. It's true, there are things the Torah specifically forbids. But not everyone who goes against the Torah gets kicked out of our midst. This isn't our way.
Actually, Minister Bennett, this is our way.
"Ought we to kill everyone who desecrates the Shabbat?" he wondered. "Has anyone been executed over the past 2000 years for desecrating the Shabbat?”
No and No. But, Bennett misses the point (not the first time). In my opinion, the death penalty would not be applied in most situations, not for a long time. First off, there is no halakhic body standing today which has such authority. I certainly hope that Bennett does not consider to the Knesseth and the Israeli Supreme Court to be such a body. But, unfortunately, like any “good,” confused and misguided, mamlakhti, he probably does.

Speaking of misguided…
Another rabbi, Elkanah Sherlo, said that in addition to condemning comments made against the LGBT community, he will also attend the Jerusalem Pride Parade on Thursday…
Rabbi Sherlo went onto to say…
"Fear dominates the religious, political and social world. Fear of gays and fear of Reformists and the fear of anyone who doesn't think or act like me. I don't want to live like that,"
Fear and other feelings are fear and other feelings. But, what do they have to do with halakhah (Torah Law)? Not much.
The "Beit Hillel" rabbis organization, that three months ago called for acceptance of all LGBTs, urged the public to participate in an event on "Tolerance and the Acceptance of the Other" held on Tuesday in Jerusalem in memory of Shira Banki, a 16-year-old who was murdered at the Pride Parade in the capital last year.
The key word here is “The Other,” harkening from the secular, Jewish philosopher Martin Buber. I believe this to be a hint to what could be next on its agenda, a push for the acceptance of non-Jewish “other” into Israeli society. Already, groups like Beit Hillel have pushed for what they call “conversion reform.” IDF “conversion light.” …essentially accepting non-Jews into the fold, so to speak.

What will be next on its agenda? Full acceptance of non-Jews as participants in the so-called "Jewish" Stae? What about co-owners of the Jewish Homeland?

The LGBTQ acceptance issue is only one of many issues being used to by the powers that be to divide communities of Torah-observant Jews.

Does it Matter what Rabbi Yigal Levinstein Says?

This post was prompted by Tomer Devorah's The Rabid Dogs Have Been Turned Loose. Not only do I read everything she posts, but as you can see, her blog is one of the few I recommend on Esser Agaroth.

Let us set aside what Rabbi Levinstein's words for now, and take a glance at the bigger picture.

Whether Rabbi Yigal Levinstein was right, wrong, or right, but wrong about how he said what he said.any other percent right, or even more wrong than right, why aren't the free speech activists speaking out to protect his rights??

Oh, wait a minute. There isn't any free speech in Israel, unless, of course, your opinion fits in with the Erev Rav's anti-Torah agenda. I know that this may come as a shock to you ardent, Jewish democratists out there, but there just isn't any free speech in Israel. It is against Israeli law to call a government official a name. It is against the law to try to convince someone not to do IDF service. 'Nuff said.

Personally, I believe that Rabbi Shmu'el Eliyahu's words were a bit more balanced, yet also rooted in halakhah (Torah Law). Here are samples from his interview with Army Radio.
Arutz 7: 'I'm not going to apologize for the Torah'
Chief Rabbi of Tzfat defends Rabbi Yigal Levinstein over controversial comments labeling homosexuals 'deviants'.

Ido Ben Porat, 18/07/16

Rabbi Shmu'el Eliyahu
Chief Rabbi of Tzfath
...Rabbi Eliyahu emphasized that while he disagreed with the use of the term “deviants”, he defended Rabbi Levinstein’s right to do so...
“I don’t call gays ‘deviants’,” said Rabbi Eliyahu, “but its Rabbi Levinstein’s right to call them as he believes he should.”

Rabbi Eliyahu added that homosexuals should be shown love, not hatred.

“We embrace them with a great love.”

Distinguishing between the sexual act and people identifying as homosexuals, Rabbi Eliyahu noted the Torah’s condemnation of homosexuality as “an abomination”, but said that was not a reason to spew hatred homosexuals themselves.

“The Torah calls it an ‘abomination’, and I don’t intend to apologize for what’s written in the Torah. If God decided that, then he knows better than anyone else..."

...Nevertheless, he praised Rabbi Levinstein’s forthrightness and rejected attacks on his character....
Certainly, the approach of Rabbi Elkana Sherlo to march in the Jerusalem "Pride" Parade is completely misguided.

But, like I already alluded to, I believe this issue to be only one piece in a much greater puzzle.

Second, the fact that he teaches at THE MOST mamlakhti (diehard State loyalist) yeshivah ever, B'nei David, cannot be ignored. In 2005, Rabbi Eli Sedan, the founder of B'nei David's pre-IDF service "mechinah" program, was so hellbent on IDF soldiers adhering to orders to throw Jews out of their homes, and off of their land, that even the elder mamlakhti Rabbi Tzvi Tau had to call him to tone it down. So, there is definitely some Torah vs. State confusion to be wary of.

In fact, I am quite surprised that he was chosen as the powers' that be patsy he said something, which might be construed as going against the State's democratic deMOCKratic principles.

Likewise, Rabbi Shlomo Aviner has spoken out against coed classrooms and Jews dealing with Christians, more so than many other "Religious Zionist" rabbis. However, so much of anything else he says is... "challenging" to understand as to how it is based in halakhah (Torah Law).

Meanwhile, the ruling of Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu's ztz"l Beth HaDin (rabbinical court) against Rabbi Aviner, still remains ignored and gathering dust. Rabbi Eliyahu's Beth HaDin included which included Rabbi Avraham Shapira ztz"l Rabbi Dov Lior (Hevron-Qiriyath Arba) and Rabbi Ya'aqov Yosef ztz"l.

One one hand, rabbis getting some things right, and others way off, may be related to the "truth being spread out," during the generation of Mashi'ah Ben-David, no one possessing all of it, based on an explanation of the following suggiyah:
Babylonian Talmud, Sanhedrin 97a
It was taught, Rabbi Yehudah said: In the generation when the son of David comes, the house of assembly will be for harlots, the Galilee will be in ruins, Gablan will lie desolate, the residents from the border towns will wander about from city to city, receiving no comfort (hospitality), the wisdom of scribes will be in disfavor, God-fearing men will be despised, people will be dog-faced, and the truth will be absent, as it is said, "And the truth is absent, and he who withdraws from evil makes himself prey." (Isaiah 59:15)
On the other hand, this might just be the latest issue in a long history of issues used by the powers that be to keep the religious world divided,...even above and beyond keeping religious Zionist and Haredi communities divided. IDF service, refusing IDF orders which violate the Torah, olive harvesting on unowned land are just a few, such issues of contention.

I, too, differentiate between the LGBTQ leadership and its agenda, and individuals. And, quite frankly, the individuals, blindly following the LGBTQ leadership and its agenda, are just pawns of the assimilationist, Left, whose aims have not changed since they left Egypt with us thousands of years ago: Destruction of Am Yisra'el from within.

And that, readers is the greater issue, from which the news media works to distract us.
