Shalom Hartman Jumps On The Christian Band Wagon

YNET: US Christian Leaders In Israel To Study Judaism

Shalom Hartman Institute VP says initiative aimed at 'deepening American Christian leaders' understanding of Jewish people.' Reverend: Studies making me a better thinker, teacher, preacher, and pastor

July 26, 2012

The American Jewish Committee (AJC) and Shalom Hartman Institute (SHI), co-sponsors of the 13-month Christian Leadership Initiative (CLI), welcomed this week a cohort of prominent American Christian leaders to the Shalom Hartman Institute in Israel for an opportunity to gain a more profound understanding of Judaism and the Jewish people. (cont.)

Am I really one of the only sane, "right-wing," religious Jews in Israel who knows how dangerous these people are?

Am I really one of the only Jews out there at all who knows that these is no such thing as Judeo-Christian Values?

The Shalom Hartman Institute is the antithesis of ", not to mention constantly pushing the limits of what it means to be called "religious."  But, that's not the point.

Although, there certainly seems to be a parallel between the Shalom Hartman Institute's watering down of the boundaries set up for the Jewish People in the Torah, and the melting down of boundaries between Jews and Christians.

Fortunately, the Left has mostly got it right about both the Christians and their right-wing puppets: money, manipulation, etc.  Hartman is hardly right, let alone "right-wing."

Unfortunately, some on the left are beginning to cry "freedom of religious expression," worrying that if Christians are limited at all in their activities, then they might be next?

Please don't be taken in by this.

The Christians don't just want to attack us spiritually; they want our Land, believing that they are its rightful inheritors.

The irony of this event is that these Christians wanted to learn about Judaism, and they ended up at the Shalom Hartman Institute.  (giggle)

One of the goals of all true Christians is to convince non-Christians that Christianity is correct, so to speak.  To accomplish this goal, they employ a variety of strategies, such as building a bridge between a group or individual's already established beliefs and Christianity.

The Catholics did this in Africa, and in other places, matching the deities of the indigenous peoples with their "saints," who appeared to shared similar attributes or legends.  One African goddess of war was replaced by S. Barbara, etc.

The current strategy, of those who adamantly distinguish themselves from Catholics, has been Hebraicizing Christianity, getting "back to their roots," so to speak.  They prey on Jews who know nothing of their own heritage, as well quote pesuqim (verses) in Hebrew, in order to connect with Jews who are knowledgeable.

Actually, thanks to Jewish Israel, I found out that the Shalom Hartman Institute  already jumped on the Christian bandwagon, along with the American "Jewish" Committee (Yeah, right!  More like the American NON-Jewish Committee...), at least two years ago.

And so, the attempt to join of Ya'aqov together with the hateful and sneaky Esau continues,... thanks to the Shalom Hartman Institute.

King Solomon built the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and later on got all bogged down in materialism and other 'excesses' and realized that it was nothing but 'hevel,' or in English, 'vanity.'

Moment Of Silence,...Why?

YNET: Israel Marks 40th Anniversary Of Munich Massacre In London

In shadow of Olympic Committee's refusal to hold moment of silence for 11 slain athletes during opening ceremony, Israelis hold modest ceremony, lay wreaths and read prayers

Associated Press, July 22, 2012

Complaining that the Olympic movement is still ignoring their pain, Israelis marked the 40th anniversary of the Munich massacre on Sunday with a modest service in the atrium of a London apartment block.

Prayers were read for the 11 murdered Israelis, wreaths were laid for them and a plaque unveiled about four miles (six kilometers) from the Olympic Stadium.

However, there will be no minute of silence for them at Friday's opening ceremony. (cont.)

I cannot think of too many more things which are as goyshe than wreaths!

All Jews should remember, and mourn the loss of the 11 Israeli athletes who were kidnapped and murdered during the 1972 Munich Olympics.

But, let's do so in a Jewish manner.

I can go on forever about how a "moment of silence" is hardy a Jewish practice.  But, since most all of Israel is convinced that it is something Jewish, I will set that aside for now.

The main push for a moment of silence to be held at the Olympics themselves seems to be related to And since a "moment of silence" is an accepted, inoffensive practice of the goyim, Israel just assumed that if they were to act like goyim, then they would be accepted by the goyim.

Wrong again, for about the millionth time.  Wake up!

Esau hates Ya'aqov

The Jewish way to handle such matters, in addition to mourning and remembered the dead, is to execute justice against the perpetrators (pun intended).

"President" Abbas of the current, soon to be non-existent, "Palestinian Authority,*" was very much involved in the massacre.  Yet, he still walks around freely.

So obviously, the Jewish practices associated with having our brothers and sisters murdered, have not been fully employed.

Worrying, yet again, about being accepted by the International Community (ie. the goyim), is not one of these practices, especially when it comes to pouting over the lack of equality within the most Hellenist enterprises on earth.  We are NOT supposed to be Hellenistic.  Remember the holiday of Hanukkah??

(Esser Agaroth maintains that there is no such thing as Palestinians, as "Palestine" is a made-up location name from the Romans.)

An IDF Solution For The Problem Of Women Singing In Public?

Religious Soldiers In IDF Might Soon have Solution To Women Singing Issue

Rafi G., September 12, 2011

At an IDF ceremony last week, a group of female soldiers got on stage to sing a song. When that happened. 9 religious soldiers walked out of the ceremony. Under threat of punishment for disobedience, 5 apologized, and the four that did not were tossed from their course. (continue reading)

Here is the (better late, than never) comment I left on the post:
We cannot compromise on even the smallest infraction of the Torah, which the Erev Rav controlled government wants to implement.  It is ALL for the same goal:

The destruction of the Torah, and Torah way of life.

These "small" issues are only a means to an end, just like the Reform Movement's initial "we just don't believe in the Oral Torah" crap.

Even though they have no chance of "winning," we must not stand idly by.

That being said, I wonder why male soldiers haven't gotten on stage with the women.  That way they would technically be singing in a group, and the soldiers could just saying that they are trying to build "IDF unity."

This, of course, would also be problematic, but it would certainly surprise the heck out of IDF and government officials, not to mention, get some "Good PR" out of it. ;-)

Gee, I wonder whatever happened?

To Destroy Avodah Zarah Or Not To Destroy Avodah Zarah: That Is The Question!

Life In Israel: The Knesset Explodes Over The Tearing Of A New Testament

Rafi G., July 19 2012

The Knesset is always so interesting, dynamic and explosive...

After MK Dr. Michael Ben-Ari tore up a New Testament that had been sent to him in the mail.

Go to Rafi's post to read and see about MK Ahmed Tibi's public tantrum and rant!

Rafi himself did not seem to think that what MK Ben-Ari did was such a good idea:
For the record, I don't believe tearing up or burning books is ever a good idea. At least not in public. Whether he was right or wrong for doing it, it is bad PR. if you don't like the book you receive in the mail, toss it in the trash, burn it or rip it up in private. Doing it in front of the press just makes you look like a neanderthal.

Here is the comment I left on this post:
Performing the misswah of destroying avodah zarah, bad PR??

Oh, no!  The goyim won't like us!

Oh, no!  The goyim will call us names, like bigots!

Oh, no!  The goyim will STOP giving us money!

Finally, a Member of K'nesseth, since Rabbi Me'ir Kahane hy"d, who is not embarrassed to act on the truth.

As Rabbi Kahane said...  say the truth, act on the truth, and the rest is min hashamayim.  The truth is Torah. (paraphrased)

*Rafi, I hope you don't mind my smarminess, too much. I respect you and your work. It was just to make a point to those with the aforementioned attitudes. I don't happen to believe that you're one of them. My guess is that, to you, it just wasn't good move strategically. I disagree. I think it was the perfect strategy.

**Esser Agaroth does not agree with the use of the term "New Testament."  There is, after all, only one!

***Gee.  I wonder if a certain friend of Christians in K'far Tapu'ah, who claims to have been a student of Rabbi Me'ir Kahane, and to be still following in his path, would have the guts to do something like this.  Doubt it.

More Exile-Minded Confusion

The Times Of Israel: When A Haredi Rabbi Encourages Adultery

 Haviv Gur, July 17, 2012

Our press and social networks are abuzz with yet another scandalous example of haredi extremism and misogyny. Here’s the story, as reported in Israel Hayom: The Chief Judge of the Jerusalem Rabbinical Court, Rabbi Eliyahu Abergel, has ruled that in cases where a man has not fathered any children, and his wife cannot or does not want to bear children, the man may take a concubine… “The concubine may also live with the couple,” says Rabbi Abergel. Reaction online ran the predictable gamut: from “another small step in the Talibanization of Israel,” to “dark ages sexism,” and “putting the seal of approval on adultery.” (cont.)

It may be the "English" translation, but it is misleading.  It may not be permissible (always), but it is certainly on a very different level than a married woman going outside of her marriage.  That's the politically incorrect truth.  The Torah is not politically correct; it is absolutely correct!

Extremism?  Sexism?

Um,...Dude.  There are many who believe that the taqanah of Rabbeinu Gershon against having more than wife, is not even binding,...especially on Mizrahim, Sepharadim, and others.

Worried that we (Haredim AND Torah Nationalists) will eventually outnumber you and use your own democracy against you by "voting in" a Torah-run country?

Then, I suggest that you and your like-minded friend start having more children.  You may even have to get yourselves a concubine or two in order or catch up!

Western values and sensibilities (ie. learned in Ashkenazi exile) are NOT automatically compatible with Jewish ones.  Sounds like you, like millions of other exile-minded Jews, have confused the two.

More politically incorrect, non-Ashkenazi, exile-centered truth.

The Wicked Witch Of The West Visits Israel

26 of the Fourth Month 5772

YNET: 'Monica, Monica' Chants Taunt Clinton In Egypt
July 15, 2012
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was taunted by chants of "Monica, Monica" by tomato-throwing demonstrators as she visited the Egyptian port city of Alexandria on Sunday.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton landed at Ben-Gurion Airport Sunday night for a two day visit. During her stay, Clinton is expected to meet with top level officials. Clinton arrived on a flight from Egypt shortly along with US Middle East envoy David Hale and Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman, who represents Washington at the talks between world powers and Iran.
However many of us would like to believe the contrary, Clinton is not a stupid person.

She is an intelligent, calculating, and nefarious individual, higher up on the ladder than her President Obama,...much higher.

She should have known this would happen, and that this would throw a rock (or, in this case, tomato) right into her plans to raise Islam up on a pedestal,...high enough so that she can lead all Americans to kiss its proverbial tuchus.

So, Clinton's plans did not go as planned.  Did she really miss this one?  Or did everything go just as expected.

What's she up to?

Clinton Arrives In Israel

US secretary of state lands at Ben-Gurion Airport for a two day visit. Earlier, egyptians pelted Clinton motorcade with tomatoes, chanted 'Monica, Monica'

July 16, 2012
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton landed at Ben-Gurion Airport Sunday night for a two day visit. During her stay, Clinton is expected to meet with top level officials. Clinton arrived on a flight from Egypt shortly along with US Middle East envoy David Hale and Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman, who represents Washington at the talks between world powers and Iran....

Well, the last time Clinton was in Israel,...
  • She told Jewish men how to observe and not observe the Torah.
  • She told Jewish women that they were victims of the hierarchical patriarchy, while neglecting to accuse the true oppressors of women, located in Arabs countries.
  • She told all Jews that they were occupying Lands not theirs.
On other words, she lied.  Actually, she lied quite a bit.
Gee, Madame Secretary, ever read the Bible??

Clinton's husband Bill, notably called Yitzhaq Rabin his "haver" (friend).  You know, the same Yitzhaq Rabin who's troops fired on the Jews on the Altalena, killing several, and gave weapons to the Palestinian Authority, results in the deaths of countless, more Jews.

Clinton's daughter Chelsea, married a Jew, thus collaborating in the Second Holocaust (intermarriage), and leading this Jew even farther away from heritage, much like the Canaanite and Midianite women of old.  May HaShem guide them back to their proper paths!

And, what's this I see?  Baruch C. Cohen from American Trial Attorneys Defending Israel provides us with this photo.

Hillary Clinton kissing Suha Arafat, after she claimed that the IDF poisons Arabs with AIDS virus

Apparently, this picture was taken, just after this terrorists widow spoke, accusing Jews of various lies, while Clinton just sat there!  She didn't walk out; she KISSED her!

I debated whether to present this picture of these two disgusting cows on my blog, or not.  But, the world must be reminded of the truth.

What's the expression?  A picture is worth 1,000 words.

I'd say this picture is worth well over 10 million words.

Secretary Clinton, please mind your own business.  Get on a plane, and go home.  Wanna cut off aid to Israel?  Go right ahead.  It will be difficult for us at first, but better for us in the long run, forcing us to stand on our own two feet.  We might even finally kick out the hostile Arabs.

But, you wouldn't like that, would you?

How I Became A Father, Without Even Knowing It

No, this is not a post filled with confessions of past indiscretions, as you might of thought.

Please remove your head from the gutter.

I wish that this was going to be one of those helpful posts, with lots of resources for olim (new immigrants), and their aging parents.  You know, a post about how to apply for funds and services, what's available out there, what are our rights, how to supplement our health care,  and Hebrew ulpanim (Hebrew learning centers) made for the senior student, etc.

But, it's not.  It is not going to be that deep.  Actually, it is going to be pretty shallow.

This post is about EGO.

OK.  Let me back up a bit.

In Israel, just like in any other country, when you go into a store or an office for the first time, or second time, or third time, the people who work there have never met you before.  The employees there do not know your name, but courtesy dictates that they call you something.

In the U. S., it's pretty simple.  You are called "sir" or "ma'am."  In my native, Southern California, "dude" (male) is also not uncommon.  (Seriously, it's not uncommon.)

In Israel, it's a little bit more complicated.

There are several stores where I have shopped over the years in Jerusalem.  In the beginning, I was "adon" (sir), of course.  But, after a while, a long while, of repeat business, and the occasion chat about the news or the weather, I was promoted to "haver" (friend).  In a few cases, especially where I chat quite a bit with some of the regular employees, I have graduated to "ahi" (my brother).

To the oleh haddash, I really want to emphasize how hard it can be in Israel to break into a friendship circle.  Many native Israelis have been in the same group of friends for years, some from Kindergarten through army service.  Do not be discouraged.  Do not misinterpret any lack of smile or interest in engaging in conversation as rudeness (...as so man Americans like to interpret it as such).  It's all about the investment of social energy, when or when not to invest it.

So, what's the problem?

Sometimes, because of my age, I have been called "dod" (lit. "uncle," but any male relative really).  This term is reserved for those having reached a certain age.  Although I am not exactly sure as to which age that is.  "Dod" also happens to stem from the same root as "yedid," (friend), but on a lesser level than "haver" (friend).

Lately, and more and more often, people have been calling me "Abbaleh" (daddy).

To be honest, I am not exactly familiar with the connotation of this is a term.  However, when a man in his 30's is the one calling me "Abbaleh," it does not bode well with me.

Morfix Online Dictionary translates "Abbaleh" as "(colloquial) Daddy."

I suppose I should I ask a few native Israelis their thoughts on the use of this word.  In the meantime, I intend to sulk every time someone calls me this,...or ignore him.

Top 15 Ways To Act Like An Am Ha'Aretz! (riff-raff) - Updated!

12 of the Fourth Month 5772

15.  Talk as loudly as humanly possible on your cell phone in an enclosed area, totally oblivious to the people around you.

14. Forget to take your wedding band off, while pretending to be Haredi.

13. (Women) Talk to your friend across the street by shouting back and forth.

12. Yell, "Minhah, Minhah!" and then "Ashrei yoshvei vesekha...!" as loud as you possibly can, at minhah time for before a wedding,...even though you, yourself, almost never daven minhah.

11. Talk to your friends when you've finished the silent amidah.  After all, it's not the repetition, when that's assur, right?

10. (Women) Sit down next to Haredi men on the bus,... so that they all have to get up.

9. Eat sunflower seeds in schul,...while serving as the gabbai.

8. (Women) "Accidentally" brush up against the men at your Shabbath table,...and be really obvious about it.

8. Make a Pssst! sound and snap your fingers to get someones attention I, to give him an aliyah.

7. (Women) Breast feed in public, where everyone can see you,...even though you're not covered up, and your bare breast is quite visible.

6. Play your guitar on the bus, at a bus stop, or tremping stop, totally oblivious to the possibility that those around you might not want to listen to your music.

5. Yell corrections of the Torah reading as loudly as you possibly can,...even though you're almost always wrong.

4. Say Birkath HaMazon or pray as loudly as possible, totally oblivious as to how this prevents others from concentrating.

3. Clap during your prayers, because you think it helps your kewannah, , totally oblivious as to how this prevents others from concentrating.

2. Get on other men's case for not going to the miqwah enough (custom), while you continue to sleep with your girlfriend (negative commandment).

And the number one way to act like an Am Ha'Aretz is to...

1. Yell furiously at people, "When you violate the laws of the State of Israel, you violate the Torah!"

Kol Yehudi: Bet-El Residents Took Off My Head Covering And Choked Me
Yehuda Perel, 6 Tammuz 5772

"They pounded my husband.  They brought out a blanket, and choked me.  They took off my head covering, and forcefully threw me out of the house," a woman who was put out of her home by [other] residents of the Beth-El Ulpana neighborhood this evening told Kol Yehudi.  The accused parties from the Beth-El Yeshivah, "...do not know what she's talking about."....

Whoever did this, these people are disgusting!  Beating up fellow Jews, beating up fellow Jews on behalf of the Erev Rav-controled, Israeli government, beating up fellow Jews who are who self-sacrificing for the sake of a misswah! Love your fellow Jew! (Even if they want to kick you out of your homes, want you to leave the Torah behind, and de-Judaize Israel!)

Yet, these hypocrites, are happy to beat up a Jew who holds the Torah above the Israeli government. Loyalty to the Erev Rav controlled government takes precedence in their eyes over doing the right thing.

What happened to their "All you need is love" attitude?

I'll tell you what happened to it.  They'll love you, only on condition that you're not in competition with them for Religious Zionist spokesman.

If you post announcements warning the Religious Zionist public that R' Aviner is not allowed to rule on issues of tohorath mishpahah (family purity), at the command of Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu's hy"d Beth-Din, they will defy the order, rip down the announcements, and gladly try to beat you, too!

Their own Rabbi Tzvi Yehudah Kook ztz"l, who some say is the "Father of Mamlakhtiyuth," stated very clearly that...

"One must do everything to delay and to prevent the evacuation of Jewish strongholds."

Yet, when I was distributing this quote within an article by Rabbi Elitzur Sege"l, back in תשס"ב/2002, the response was not to the direct quote from Rabbeinu Tzvi Yehudah, but rather a refusal to read anything related to the Rabbis Kook, which did not originate from Rabbis Tau, H. Druckman, or Aviner.

Years lated, Rabbi Zalman Melamed of Beth-El made the identical quote, in refutation of Aviner's suggestion that Rabbeinu Tzvi Yehuda didn't say "refuse orders," even though he did say "everything."

Within the below gilu'i da'ath are more quotes from Rabbeinu Tzvi Yehuda, which will undoubtedly go ignored by all those still suffering from indoctrination into undying State loyalty by the State educational system.

"There aren't any Arab territories, nor Arab lands here, but rather, the Lands of Israel, the eternal lands of our forefathers, which others came and built upon them, which were not under our authority or with our presence."

"He who prevents Jews from settling the Land is doing something illegal."

Rabbi Dov Lior of Hevron-Qiryath Arba was a student of Rabbi Tzvi Yehudah Kook.

Rabbi Zalman Melamed of Beth-El was a student of Rabbi Tzvi Yehudah Kook.

It does not matter. If your hashqafah does not match those of Rabbis Tau, H. Druckman, or Aviner, then you're out of luck!

This hashqafah is not even the predominant hashqafah at the Merkav HaRav Kook Yeshiva!

These people are so brainwashed into believing that they are right, and are so enmeshed with the State, they cannot see the truth!

And, what is that truth?

...that there are increasing numbers of conflicts between Jewish Law ans Israeli Law.

Denial or hypocrisy?  Take your pick.

If this does turn out to be connected with the Beth-El Yeshiva, that would be truly disturbing, indeed.
