YNET: Court upholds retailer's decision to furlough employee refusing virus vaccine, testing
Haifa labor court rules Shufersal's policy to ban workers refusing to comply with safety measures from company premises was reasonable, citing health concerns

Lital Dobrovitzky | 03.29.21

The Regional Labor Court in Haifa on Monday upheld a retail chain's decision to furlough an employee after she refused to either get vaccinated against COVID-19 or present a negative virus test on a regular basis.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
This cashier even claims she had problems when she was vaccinated in the past.

The court ruled: It doesn't matter.

More labor rights were revoked. More civil rights revoked.

Another business that we should be boycotted.

It is also incumbent upon us NOT to forget the opinion of at least one newly re-elected Member of Knesset (and that of probably many more) regarding forced vaccinations:

"Of course we can force" [vaccinate]

Who to Vote for in Israel's 2021 Elections? Ben-Gvir? Smotrich? Sa'ar? No One?

Ofer Berkovitz

Honored Speaker Gideon Sa'ar

 Smotrich with Head of Evangelical
Christian "Volunteer
" group

Itamar Ben-Gvir

Esser Agaroth ():
Next Tuesday, March 23, 2021, Israelis will go to the polls to elect a new Knesset (parliament) for an unprecedented fourth time in two years. The Hebrew date is 10 of the First Month (Nissan) is also the day when the enslaved Israelites dedicated their first Passover offerings in Egypt, by choosing lambs and goat kids, "gods" of the Egyptians, and setting them aside. This date also commemorates the death of Miriam the Prophetess. Is there a connection? Let's see.

Gideon Sa'ar's "Tiqvah Hadasha" (New Hope) Party
Gideon Sa'ar immediately caught my attention when he left the Likud Party, and declared his intention to run for the Knesset under his new party. Then Corona Committee Chair Yifat Shasha Bitton soon left the LIkud Party herself and joined him. While chair, she demonstrated her unwillingness to simply follow her party leader's orders. Zeev Elkin soon joined as well. I voted for him mayor of Jerusalem in the previous elections in the first round.

But a few seconds later, I was certain that Sa'ar's New Hope was neither new, nor any hope. How so?

1. Sa'ar accepted Ofer Berkowitz, a member of the Jerusalem City Council, into his fold. Despite the small group of Haredim (ultra-Orthodox) who supported him in the last mayoral election, Berkowitz is no friend at all to Torah observant Jews.

Just not Berkowitz!
Pluralism: The slogan of leftists

I remember very well when Gideon Saar was a distinguished speaker at the inauguration of the World Biblical Zionist Center in Sha'ar Binyamin north of Jerusalem. The World Biblical Zionist Center was founded by the Christian missionary Joel Bell. In addition Sa'ar, Likud MKs Edelstein, Gamliel, and Kara also spoke at this center's inauguration. Joel Bell claims to have the right to live in the Land of Israel as a devout Christian. Because of this and other partnerships between the global Likud party and such Christians, I canceled my membership in the Likud party. Needless to say, this is another reason why I can not vote for Sa'ar's "New Hope" Party.

Naftali Bennett's "Yamina" (Rightward) Party
"One picture is worth a thousand words" - a Chinese proverb

How many words are equal to three pictures? (See above) And by the way, What IS the Difference between the Oslo Accords and Bennett's Plan?

I have no need to waste any time nor energy elaborating on the reasons as to why I cannot vote for Naftali Bennett. Did you notice that I did not even mention his name in this post's title?

Bezalel Smotrich's "Religious Zionism" Party
Bezalel Smotrich agreed to run with Jewish power in the election. The Noam movement also participates with them. In the previous elections, Smotrich and a Jewish power failed to negotiate to run together. And at the end of the Noam movement, she also decided not to participate with Smotrich. After the previous elections, it seems to me that everyone knows that the situation has changed.

1. Personally, I still want to know what the relationship is between Smotrich and Evangelical Christians who organize "volunteer" groups in Samaria. And what is his opinion  in general about their participation in various initiatives in Judea and Samaria?

2. Another thing that bothers me about Bezalel Smotrich is forced vaccinations:
I don’t understand the dilemma at all. We enlist people into the army, and we endanger their lives, by force, we collect taxes, harming the rights of the purchaser, we put a hand deep into the pockets of each citizen in the State of Israel. Of course it’s possible to force.
-from an appearance on "Kalman and Lieberman, Kan - Reshet Bet
"Of course you can force."
This morning I will remind those loyal to the Land of Israel that if the state is allowed to enter a person's body by force and do as it pleases, it is also allowed to enter ones legal home and expel the occupant.

Nothing of what the state did in Gush Qatif and Amona could have been done, if we had not turned from being God's servants into servants of the State.
I like to imagine how the character of the Knesset will change with new MK Itamar Ben-Gvir (Otzma Yehudit). At least the next Knesset will not
at all be boring! I am also glad Ben-Gvir disagrees with Smotrich about forced vaccinations:
My response to the words of my friend Betzalel Smotrich regarding vaccines: As Betzalel emphasizes, we are only a technical block, his positions do not bind me. I think it's good and right to get vaccinated. Hope this is the way to beat the pandemic. I am against coercion, and against these and other sanctions. Coercion achieves nothing and in my opinion to require a vaccine is neither right nor illegal.
However, I am disappointed that Ben-Gvir has emphasized the differences between himself and Rabbi Meir Kahane hy"d. Perhaps this is simply a strategy to get elected. I do not know. As an MK, Rabbi Kahane quoted Biblical verses and halakhah (Torah Law), and was highly criticized for this. I hope that Ben-Gvir will at least continue with this approach.

Perhaps the only advantage of this election is the extra time to clean our homes ahead of the Passover holiday. It is highly possible that those who do vote in this election will simply be repeating the same thing over again, expecting different results.
