Don't Vote for Berkovitch!

English follows the Hebrew.

Yossi Daitch, Ofer Berkovitch, MK Ze'ev Elkin, Moshe Leon

All polls show that if Ofer Berkowitz (Hirorerut) does not win the Jerusalem Mayoral race in the first round, then he will definitely be a candidate in the second round.

What a shame that the religious parties did not get their act together to prevent Berkovitch from becoming the mayor of Jerusalem. The second round will be with Berkovitch against Moshe Leon (Shas), or MK Zeev Elkin (Likud), or Yossi Deitch (Agudath Israel, United Jerusalem, Yachad).

I heard that there are a few Haredim who are voting for Berkovitch. There are even a few Aryeh King supporters who intend to vote for him. And, of course, there are modern orthodox who are voting for him.

Why? Either they are fed up with the Haredi leadership or are new immigrants from North America and their minds are still in North America, in other words an exilic (Diaspora) mentality, or they have just lost it completely.

I pray there is a second round, and thus a second chance for us to have a mayor of Jerusalem who cares about what The Holy One, Blessed Be He wants, vis-à-vis His Torah, and not just about what the secular minority and misguided modern orthodox want.

Pluralism: Code Word for Left-Wing

English follows the Hebrew.

Translation from the graphic above - "bSheva," Lech Lecha, p. 28:
I am the public's Zionist representative in Jerusalem
Cleaning up the city is at the top of his list of priorities, alongside the war against residents moving out of the city, and the development of employment centers that will bring a balanced budget to the city. Ten years after founding Hitorerut, Ofer Berkowitz, the only secular candidate for mayor of Jerusalem, hopes to be the surprise of the elections.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Now, let's take a look at the possibilities of what candidate Berkowitz might actually mean here, between the lines, that is. Of course, I am only speculating here...

Cleaning up the city is at the top of his list of priorities
Cleaning up the city of "extremists," those who are not "pluralists."

War against residents moving out of the city
War against only certain residents moving out of the city, university graduates, and young couples, who are secular, or at least modern.

The development of business centers which will bring a balanced budget to the city.
Except for business centers in neighborhoods such as Ge'ulah and Shmuel HaNavi'. We all know that Haredim don't actually work and just take from the wallets of the secular and the "traditional." (sarcasm) Even though there is plenty of tourist money which comes into the City's pocket by way of these neighborhoods. But we're not allowed to talk about this.

Ten years after founding "Hitorerut" (Awakening), Ofer Berkowitz, the only secular candidate for mayor of Jerusalem, hopes to be the surprise of the elections.
Awaken because of what?Ten years ago, Leftists went around the city scaring Religious Zionist and modern orthodox Jews with the possibility that Jerusalem could turn into a Haredi city.  And now the Hitorerut Movement wants to protect the rights of Jerusalem residents to do what they want? In other words, in spite of the Torah??
And, in conclusion...

I am the public's Zionist representative in Jerusalem
Very suspicious the man who hijacks (steals?) the term "Zionist" from the real Zionists, like Zionist Camp Party did, and it's not at all Zionist, and like the Labor Zionist Movement did before it. Labor Zionists are certainly not Zionist at all, and began the process of separating the concept from its true source, which is the Torah.

There are 613 Commandments in the Torah, and not the one to inhabit the Land of Israel.

Ramle: Is it Permitted for the Jewish Home Party to Defend the Torah?

English follows the Hebrew.

"Hundreds of cases of assimilation and nobody cares—tomorrow it can be your daughter
Only The Jewish Home will keep Ramle Jewish"

Tomorrow this could be your son
Only a strong fight will get rid of
the racists from the Government

YNET: Bayit Yehudi banners calling against 'assimilation' appear in Ramla
On the backdrop of municipal elections in Ramla, signs with the caption 'Hundreds cases of assimilation and nobody cares—tomorrow it can be your daughter,' spark outcry among Arab residents.

Roi Rubinstein: 10.18.18

Banners of the Bayit Yehudi [Jewish Home] party calling against assimilation appeared Tuesday in the central city of Ramla where Arabs and Jews coexists, sparking provocation In the midst of the upcoming municipal elections in the city.

The banner shows a young woman wearing a hijab with the caption: "Hundreds cases of assimilation and nobody cares—tomorrow it can be your daughter. Only a strong Bayit Yehudi will keep Ramla Jewish." (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
So, maybe the Jewish Home Party actually has the guts to stand up, call a spade a spade, and take some action against the continuing chipping away at the Jewish nature of the State of Israel.

Channel 10 has nicknamed the party, the "Racist Home."

What is disturbing is the Kippa website asking if this banner is incitement, or just poor taste? How is it poor taste to act against assimilation, and specifically intermarriage?? What a question!

Interestingly enough, the leftist news site Ma'ariv reminds us that many Arabs are also against intermarriage, ...as if we should care what Arabs want. Is Ma'ariv the voice of truth? Not sure. Arabs haven't had any problems with kidnapping Jewish girls in Yemen for wives, nor have they shown any objection to taking and often abusing Jewish wives in Israel. So, maybe Ma'ariv is simply referring to Ramle residents' fear of Jewish influences on their children.

The YNET report continues:
Joint List's candidate for Ramla's city council, Jessan Munir, threatened to file a complaint with the police if the racist banners are nor removed.

Banners of the Bayit Yehudi party calling against assimilation Banners of the Bayit Yehudi party calling against assimilation "This is racism and exploitation of racist propaganda in an attempt to gain a few votes. They (the Bayit Yehudi) don't care destroying the unique coexistence (between Arab and Jews) in Ramla as long as it brings them several more votes," he lashed out.
"We demand to immediately remove these banners. Those orchestrating this should know it will trigger violence and spark outcry," the Joint List candidate stated.
"We expect the municipal elections committee to order the removal of the banners and ask the police to get involved to prevent danger to the public," he concluded.
Actually, the Jewish Home Party, in Ramle that is, apparently does care about coexistence between Arabs and Jews; it cares about putting limits on it. Besides that, what we learn from this report it that it's ok that an Arab threatens violence against Jews. I mean, isn't that what he's essentially doing?
[Leftist] Meretz Chairman MK Tamar Zandberg addressed the central elections committee saying, "The content of the banners violates the penal code and the prohibition of advertising incitement. The banners contain animosity towards Ramla's Muslim residents. The caption 'nobody cares' is a dangerous call, even if not unequivocal, to take an active action against 'assimilation.'"
So, apparently, MK Zandberg is pro-assimilation?

No surprises here.
Zandberg dubbed the Bayit Yehudi banners as a hateful racist campaign, which ignores the fact that after the municipal elections, Ramla's Arab and Jewish residents will have to continue coexisting side by side. The Bayit Yehudi issued a statement saying, "The party's stance regarding assimilation is clear—the Jewish people should preserve its national character, tradition, religion, culture and heritage...."
Hey, maybe I have been wrong about Bayit Yehudi, and it really does have what it takes to be a truly Jewish Home.
"...At the same time, an election campaign should be run with dignity and respect for others," the statement added.
Nope. I was right all along. The Bayit HaYehudi Party is neither Jewish, nor even a home.

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Recommendation for an Israeli Left-Wing Election Victory

English follows the Hebrew.

For those of you who want to enlist Haredim (utra-Orthodox) into the Israeli Defense Forces [IDF] (but who really don't want them in the army for fear of their influence on their sons)...

For those of you who expect religious soldiers to watch and listen to women sing and dance on stage...

For those of you who shout at the men who encourage Jews to put on tefillin...

For those who object to the building of a new yeshiva or mikveh (ritual immersion pool) in your neighborhood...

For those who oppose the construction of a new branch of the Ezra and Ariel youth movements in the neighborhood despite the growing religious sector in your town...

I have one recommendation for you:

Have more children.

If you truly believe in democracy, go and produce more children, so that someday you will be the majority who vote in elections, rather than the minority.

There are already more religious and traditional students than secular students in the first through fifth grades in Israel. Of course, by "traditional," I mean those who actually believe in the traditional version of the Torah, and not members of the co-called Conservative Movement. Theoretically, this means we could have a Knesset whose majority of members will be Religious Zionist and Haredi.in the not to distant future.

But I'm not sure you want a real democratic government system.

Instead, you prefer to increase your voter base through tricky strategies like the following:
  • Encouraging Ethiopian Christians to immigrate to Israel.
  • Working to provide foreign workers with a special status, and eventual permanent residency, if not citizenship.
  • Working to provide foreign workers with a special status, and eventual permanent residency, if not citizenship.
  • Working to establish civil marriage in Israel, allowing Israelis to "marry" non-Jews much more easily.
  • Providing these husbands and wives a way to receive Citizenship, which include the so-called Black [Fake] Hebrews who allow them to bring all the non-Jews from the United States they want to bring into Israel.
  • Fighting for "freedom of religious expression," calling it "pluralism," and benefiting Evangelical Christian "friends" of the quasi-right-wing.
  • Preaching "Co-Existence," with the eventuality of having a secular, democratic state, just like the goyim.
You have already tried this strategy of actively encouraging the immigration of non-Jews to Israel from the Former Soviet Union. But, many of them ended up voting for the Israel Our Home Party of Avigdor Lieberman, instead of left wing parties.

In addition, your favorite strategy seems to be cancelling, distorting, changing, and replacing the laws you don't like through the Israeli Supreme Court, in spite of the wishes of the people. (What do you care about the wishes of the people??) In this way, you maintain your position of power.

We haven't had a real democratic system of government in Israel for years, now, assuming we ever had one. We have had a deMOCKracy. And what does democracy have to do with Torah anyway?

There isn't one.
