Arutz 7: MK blows off Knesset meeting to party in Eilat
Coalition officials demand Oren Hazan be removed from Knesset Finance Committee after he refuses to budge on changing travel plans.

MK Oren Hazan (Likud) has come under fire yet again - this time over reports he blew off a Knesset Finance Committee meeting to celebrate his birthday in Eilat.
Hazan, who turned 34 last week, reportedly told committee members on Tuesday that he would be absent from a critical vote on the state budget because of "something important."
However, WhatsApp correspondence between the committee members revealed he would be missing the vote because of a large-scale party in Israel's southern resort town.
According to the messages published by Channel 10 on Wednesday, Hazan apologized, saying he would be unable to attend the meeting on Thursday because of plans to visit Eilat.
When asked to change his travel itinerary, Hazan replied: "Move the meeting. I can't postpone the trip."
While the purpose of his trip has not been determined, Channel 10 estimates it is connected to Hazan's birthday celebrations which apparently began last weekend in Tel Aviv.
In response, coalition officials have demanded that Hazan be removed from the Knesset Finance Committee.

MK Oren Hazan (Likud) |
Or how about a prime minister who is unwilling to do everything which needs to be done to protect Jews from Arab terrorism?
Remember the criticism of MK Boaz Toporovsky for posting a selfie on facebook without his arms covered? The criticism of Hazan is pretty much on the same level, valid, but sort of silly.
Years ago, I recommended to the late MK Uri Orbach (Jewish Home) to leave politics, and go back to his previous professional of stand-up comedy. In the same light I will recommend that MK Oren Hazan go back to slinging shwarmah. I am totally serious when I say this, because Babba Shwarmah Grill in Ariel, where Hazan was co-owner, makes one of the best shwarmahs I have ever had (...not sure what the kashruth certification is these days).
While hassle with national politics? If Hazan wants to dabble in politics, he should just run for mayor of Ariel. He would not have to commute, and could also access all of the connections he has made as an MK, to benefit his hometown. Then, when he's done partying, or mostly done partying, then he can go back to the K'nesseth.
In the meantime, he will be able to go to Eilat anytime he wants.
