איזנקוט אמר כי השנה שעברה הייתה טובה יחסית למציאות הביטחונית סביבנו, וציין כי חציה הראשון התאפיין בהמשך הטרור שהתרחש ב-2015, ואילו בחצי השני חל שיפור. הרמטכ"ל אמר כי הלחימה בטרור נמשכת כל העת, וכי בשנה ורבע האחרונות הרג צה"ל 171 מחבלים. הוא ציין כי מתחילת השנה שעברה 45% ממבצעי הפיגועים היו בעלי תעודת זהות כחולה. הרמטכ"ל חזר על עמדתו כי מפתח חשוב בצמצום הטרור הוא הפעלת כח נכונה, שמפרידה בין הטרור לכלל האוכלוסייה, ומתן אפשרות לקיומה של דינמיקת חיים של לימודים ועבודה בצד הפלסטיני, שנכון יהיה לשמור עליה בכל עת לדבריו.

המילה ״ערבים״ לא מופיעה כאן בכלל. כתיבת המילה ״ערבי״ היא גזענות? או איזנקוט טוען כאן שגםאפשר להתיחס ליהודים כמחבלים?

וגם כתוב כאן ״בעלי תעודת זהות כחולה,״ ולא ״אזרחים.״ עוד דרך להמנע מלכתוב ״ערבים?״

בכל מקרה, מה ממשלת מדינת ישראל מתכוונת לעשות להלחם נגד זה?

לדעתי, כלום.

Mentioning some statistics to make his point, Eisenkot said that since the beginning of 2016, the IDF has killed 171 terrorists, almost half of whom were Israeli citizens. According to Eisenkot, a key way in reducing terrorism was the selective use of force that separates between terrorists and the rest of the populace, allowing an environment of education and work on the Palestinian side that is important to maintain at any given time.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Interesting that this report did not come right out and say that these terrorists were Arabs. Would this be considered racist if it did? Or was Eisenkot suggesting that Jews can also be consider as such?

Likewise, the report in Hebrew does not actually use the word "citizen." Rather, it says "holders of blue identification cards," a tricky way of avoiding the need for the word "citizen."

Anyway, what is the Israeli Government going to do about this, now documented fact?

If you ask me, absolutely nothing.
