100 מיליון שקלים יושקעו בשיקום ושיפוץ מבני ציבור בגן הלאומי קיסריה. במסגרת העבודות הוצגו לראשונה לציבור הרחב תגליות ארכיאולוגיות מרתקות, ובהן מזבח מקדש שבנה הורדוס לפני כ-2,000 שנה ובית כנסת עתיק מהתקופה הביזנטית. העבודות הן תוצאה של שיתוף פעולה חסר תקדים של קרן אדמונד דה רוטשילד, החברה לפיתוח קיסריה, שהקצו את הכסף, לבין רשות העתיקות ורשות הטבע והגנים.

במהלך מסיבת העיתונאים הוצג מתחם מקודש שבנה הורדוס כמחווה לפטרונו אוגוסטוס קיסר רומא ולכבוד האלה רומא. המקדש השקיף אל הים ומוזכר בספר "מלחמות היהודים" של יוסף בן מתתיהו, שבו מסופר כי הורדוס בנה את המקדש בראש הגבעה ובתוכו הוצב פסל ענק של הקיסר בדמות זיאוס האולימפי ופסל נוסף של האלה רומא בדמות הרה מארגוס. פסלי הענק טרם נמצאו ועל פי הערכות נלקחו מהמקום לאורך ההיסטוריה. המשך...

אתם מופתעים שממשלת מדינת ישראל משקיעה לבנות מחדש את אתר עבודה זרה?

הרשות משקיעה עשרים ושבעה מיליון דולרים כדי לבנות מחדש את מקדש עתיקה של עבודה זרה? מקדש של הרומאים שסילקו אותנו מארצנו לגלות ולעבדות, וביצעו את התכנית להחליף את שם ארצנו לארץ פילישטיה כדי למחוק את הקשר היהודי לארץ ישראל לנצח.

דבר אחד לנקות ולסדר את האתר של החורבות העתיקות וליצור תכנית חינוכית לתיירים. זה דבר אחר לגמרי לבנות את זה מחדש עד כדי כך למצב מהודר ומהולל.

וכנראה, הם מצדיקים את ההשקעה שלהם - כסף של האזרחים המשלמים מסים? - בזכות כל הרווח שיקבלו בחזרה, לטובת כל האזרחים הכסים שלהם.

האם הם חושבים על האפשרות לבנות מחדש אתרים מקודשים של היהודים, כמו בית המקדש שלנו, ולהחזיר אותם לשימוש? אם אין הרבה כסף להרוויח מזה, אז לא. ומה עם האפשרות לפנות את ההריסות של אתרי עבודה זרה כאלה ולבנות משהו לטובת עם ישראל, כמו בית ספר חדש, גן ציבורי, או אפילו בנייני דיור? דבר כזה לפי עקרונות התורה יותר מבניית עוד אתר תיירות.

אַבֵּד תְּאַבְּדוּן אֶת-כָּל-הַמְּקֹמוֹת אֲשֶׁר עָבְדוּ-שָׁם הַגּוֹיִם, אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם יֹרְשִׁים אֹתָם--אֶת-אֱלֹהֵיהֶם: עַל-הֶהָרִים הָרָמִים וְעַל-הַגְּבָעוֹת, וְתַחַת כָּל-עֵץ רַעֲנָן. (דברים יב,ב)

בטח שהם לעולם לא יעשו משהו כזה. אי אפשר להרייוח מספיק כסף מדבר כזה. וגם ברור מאוד שהם רוצים למשוך תיירים לא יהודים לבוא לארץ ישראל, עוד אסטרטגי להשיג אהבה דרך חזור המקדש לאלים המזויפים המערבים שלהם.

יש עוד בעיה נוספת עם שחזור המקדש הרומי הזה בקיסריה. חז"ל מלמדים כי ירושלים (ישראל) וקיסריה (אדום / המערב) לא יכולים לעמוד באותו זמן.

בירור שאדום עדיין פורח ועומדת בשלטון העולם.בוודאי המצב הזה יסתיים בסוף. בינתיים, כדאי לנו להתפלל שהגמרא הזאת לא תתבטא פשוטו כמשמעו, שכאשר מקדש בקיסריה משוחזר, חורבן זה משליט על ירושלים.

YNET: Archaeologists restore ancient Roman temple in Israeli port
As Israel hopes to triple tourist numbers, archaeologists begin $27 million project to restore once-towering ancient-Roman temple in the Mediterranean city of Caesarea, unearthing artifacts and remains of an ancient synagogue along the way.

Archaeologists in Israel have begun work to restore a once-towering ancient-Roman temple in the modern-day Mediterranean city of Caesarea.

As part of a $27 million project that aims to triple tourist numbers, scores of workers have erected scaffolding, cleared rubble and begun excavations around the more than 2000-year-old ruins.

Caesaria was a vibrant Roman metropolis built in honour of Emperor Augustus Caesar by King Herod, who ruled Judea from 37 BC until his death in 4 BC.

Historians tell how the temple loomed above the ancient skyline, perhaps as tall as the Acropolis in Athens, and could be seen from afar by ships voyaging to the holy land.

Caesaria already draws about 1 million tourists each year who can walk among the ruins of aqueducts and the region's oldest surviving Roman theatre.

The project's backers want to turn the city into a major archaeological site in Israel, second only to Jerusalem. The Israel Antiquities Authority hopes the temple restoration will eventually triple the number of visitors. (cont.)

$27 million to restore a Temple of Avodah Zarah (foreign worship)? A Temple of a people which occupied our Land, took us into exile and slavery, and executed a plan to disconnect the Jewish People permanently from the Land of Israel by changing its name to Palestine.

It would be one thing to tidy it up, and create an amazing educational program about the site's history. But, to glorify it?

And the justification is that there will be large return on this investment,.... benefiting all, I am sure. More like benefiting their own pockets.

How about restoring ancient Jewish sites, such as our own Temple, and putting them back into use? I am sure that the thought never entered their minds, just like the thought of destroying the Roman temple completely never entered their minds. The space could be cleared for something more useful to the Jewish People, and in line with Torah principles.

You will surely destroy all the places, where the nations that you are to dispossess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every leafy tree. (Deut. 12:2)

Of course, they would never do anything like that. Not enough money, and they are clearly looking to attract non-Jewish tourists, anyway. This is yet another ploy to seek their love and validation, this time by restoring a temple to their ancient, Western false deities.

There is another problem with the restoration of this Roman temple in Caesaria. HaZa"L (Our Sages) teach that Jerusalem (Israel) and Caesaria (Edom/The West) and can never flourish at the same time. When one flourishes, the other is laid waste (TB Megillah 6a).

Edom is still clearly flourishing, calling the shots. This will surely come to an end. In the meantime, we should pray that this gemara does not become manifested literally, that when a temple in Caesaria is restored, that destruction reigns on Jerusalem.
