Healing Jews with Tattoos? Or Hurting Them?

YNET: Turning the scars of terror into tattoos
The Healing Ink project, which helps victims of violence deal with their trauma, comes to Haifa, where it gives new perspective to among trauma sufferers, including a woman who lost her parents and brother to a Palestinian terrorist, and a former soldier who was critically wounded in a shooting in Jerusalem

Ahiya Raved, 12.07.19

Ten of the world's leading tattoo artists recently arrived in Israel to offer their specialist skills to "Healing Ink," a project that helps people cope with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) due to violence.

Among the Israelis suffering from PTSD who turned up at the Israel National Museum of Science, Technology and Space in Haifa for a tattoo was Leah Gavish Georgy, who on Passover 2002, lost her mother Rachel, father David, brother Abraham and grandfather Yitzhak when a Palestinian terrorist broke into their home at the Elon Moreh settlement. Esser Agaroth (2¢):
I doubt you'll believe me when I say that I have nothing against these victims getting tattoos. I, too, am victim of Arab terror. I, too, lived in the Shomron (Samaria), and not so far away from Elon Moreh either. I blame the Israeli government. Instead of the government providing proper treatment ---  and do I have really have to say proper protection in the first place? -- it does a half-hearted job, trying to satisfy Israelis while doubly trying to make sure the international community doesn't get too upset.

But, who knows? Maybe the government -- right-wing, left-wing, it doesn't matter -- prefers to scare settlers out of their homes. After all it would save it the time, money, and trouble, when they try to do it again forcefully. That's right. I said when, and not if.

Of course, I also blame the driving force behind the war against Torah via assimilation, and that's not just who we see in the public eye in the government.

Several of the artists listed on Healing Ink's site have Jewish, if not Israeli sounding names. Having tinoq shenisha (Jews who do not know any better) -- giving them the benefit of the doubt as to their status --  it is like the blind leading the blind. They are healing these terror victims' feelings, without any regard for the correct actions Jews are obligated to take (mitzvoth - Torah commandments), and quite frankly their true, spiritual destiny.
"...nor imprint any marks upon you: I am the Lord. (Lev, 19:28)"
I also wonder if there are any Xian tattoo artists here to promote their doctrine of ignoring many Torah laws, believing they are irrelevant, now that they have their false deity/messiah to pray to.

It would not surprise me.

The SOI has become more galutified than the galut itself. Every unthinkable aveirah and foreign ideaology has been imported and to think, of all things, tattoos. This is beyond ugly; against Jewish law and against thousands of years of a Jew never daring to think of tatooing themselves. Guess, that Jews were put to this shame just 70+ years doesn't bother them at all. We've reached the 50th level+ of tumah; it's time for Moshiach, otherwise, we won't be redeemable.

Unfortunately, and of course, I can't really argue with this.

I will add that this is one of the excuses frum Jews make for not coming to Israel. I would be concerned for my children, too.

But, Jews are needs to come to transform the Land and help our fellow Jews to move away from this.

Yes, Mashiah will come and fix things. But, we are not exempted from trying, and to prevent the road to geula from being as painful as it possibly will be if we don't do anything.

Amen, we need to try, of course. The best thing is for yirei Shamayim to make aliya so that they will be the majority. H' has His Ways and will make it happen. He will never forsake us.
