Does the Israeli Prime Minister Believe that the Temple Mount Belongs to the Jews or Not?

English follows the Hebrew.

Any questions?

Actually, I have a few.

Does Prime Minister Naftali Bennett really believe that Har HaBayith (the Temple Mount) belongs to the Jewish People?

Does Prime Minister Naftali Bennett really believe that all of Eretz Yisra'el (the Land of Israel) belong to the Jewish People?

In all fairness to the Prime Minister, there are plenty of mamlakhti (diehard State loyalists) rabbis out there who also cannot seem to get their stories straight. They often end up saying something like...

"It's complicated. You couldn't possibly understand."

They try to say it nicer than that. Nevertheless, this is what they say.

I understand quite well. The Ramba"m is quite clear.
Mishneh Torah, Laws of Beit HaBehirah 1:1
It is a positive commandment to make a House for God, prepared for sacrifices to be brought there within. We [must] celebrate there three times a year, as it is said, "You will make Me a Miqdash (Temple)" (Ex. 25:8). The sanctuary constructed by Moses is already described in the Torah, it was only temporary, as it is said, "For you have yet come to the rest place and the inheritance" (Deut. 12:9)
My point here is not whether we Jews, ourselves will actually be able to build the Miqdash ourselves, whether we must wait for Mashi'ah (Messiah) to come and build it, or whether it will descend from the Heavens prefabricated. My point is that it is incumbent upon us to have a Beth Miqdash, and that it is supposed to be on Har HaBayith.
"Any generation in which the Temple is not built, it is as if it had been destroyed in their times" (Jerusalem Talmud, Yoma 1a)
Even Neturei Karta, Satmar Hassidim, and other so-called anti-Zionist, groups of religious (Orthodox or Ultra-Orthodox) Jews believe that Har HaBayith and all of Eretz Yisra'el belongs to the Jewish People, just...

Not yet.
Not this way.
Not by these people.

They believe that...

The Almighty removed us from Eretz Yisra'el Himself.
Only He Himself will bring us back, and directly so.
We may not make aliyah (immigrate to Eretz Yisra'el) en massse (TB Kethuvoth 110a)

Like it or not, this is a legitimate, Torah-based opinion. Is this what Prime Minister Naftali Bennett believes? Doubtful. And it is certainly NOT a religious Zionist perspective.

Cherry picking aliyah to the Eternal Homeland of the Jewish People, yet neglecting all other inconvenient mitzvoth (Torah commandments), particularly those politically-incorrect ones, may be some distorted form of Zionism. But it is not Religious Zionism, religious being the operative word, indicating a basis in Torah,...presumably ALL of the Torah.
"The Torah touches ALL aspects of our lives, not just Shabbos and Kashrus shailos." - Rabbi David Bar-Hayim
Is this half-hearted approach to the eventual possession of the Land some sort of strategy of the Prime Minister and the Mamlakhtim like him? Then, by all means, please say so. "Of course, Har HaBayith and the entirety of Eretz Yisra'el belongs to the Jewish People. However, it is currently unrealistic for us to achieve this ultimate dream of ours."

But he would never say such a things, would he? Because...

1. He would risk acknowledging the shortcomings of the Zionist enterprise.
2. He would enrage the so-called "international community," which is already in anti-Semitic, escalation mode.

I have been warning you about Naftali Bennett since the beginning:
Naftali Bennet The Nationalist? Why Is Everyone Still Fooled? (May 9, 2013)

Either all of Eretz Yisra'el belongs to us, or it does not. Either we follow the Torah, or we risk getting kicked out of Eretz Yisra'el again.

Jews need to wake up and decide, and then elect a Prime Minister who truly reflects this.

Naftali Bennett does not.
