JPost: MK Tibi calls Liberman 'an immigrant,' says Israel should agree to Partition Plan of '47
Yasser Okbi (with Lahav Harkov), January 9, 2014
Israeli Arab leaders continued to drum up opposition to Liberman’s proposal for land, population swaps with PA.
Israeli Arab leaders continued to drum up opposition on Thursday to Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman’s proposal that Israel offer the Palestinian Authority control over townships inhabited predominantly by Palestinians in exchange for settlements in the West Bank.
During a demonstration against the Prawer-Begin Plan for Beduin resettlement, MK Ahmed Tibi lambasted “the immigrant” Liberman.

“Liberman is an immigrant,” Tibi said. “If he wants to repartition the land, then let’s do it on the basis of UN Resolution 181.” The lawmaker was referring to the original partition plan proposed by the UN in 1947.
Tibi was joined at the demonstration, which drew an estimated 700 protesters, by fellow Ra’am-Ta’al MKs Ibrahim Sarsour, Masud Ganaim, and Talab Abu Arar. Also in attendance were Hadash MK Mohammed Barakeh and the head of the Islamic Movement’s northern branch Sheikh Raed Salah.
Protesters waved Palestinian flags and brandished signs bearing the names of 44 unrecognized Beduin villages. Some of the demonstrators sang the Palestinian national anthem.
Policemen were on the scene to ensure a peaceful conclusion to the event, which lasted an hour.
Meanwhile on Thursday, Leader of the Opposition Isaac Herzog (Labor) voiced his support for a possible exchange of territory with a future Palestinian state as part of a peace agreement. (cont.)

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
This is all irrelevant, and at best, just a distraction. Actually, Israel's deMOCKracy is a distraction from what is truly important.
I hate to admit it, but thanks to this post, I finally realized that we Jews finally need to stop seeing ourselves as immigrants, as MK Ahmed Tibi calls us vis-a-vis Foreign Minister Lieberman. Instead we need to view ourselves as its conquerors, fulfilling the commandment to inherent the land, which cannot be done properly without the removal of those who were "here first," here first this time around, that is.
50 And the LORD spoke unto Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying: 51 'Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 52 then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their figured stones, and destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places. And you shall drive out the inhabitants of the land, and dwell in it; for to you have I given the land to possess it.
That was what MK Tibi was getting at, claiming that they, the Arabs, were here first. According to The Almighty, through His Holy Torah, we know that is irrelevant. Eretz Yisra'el (the Land of Israel) is for us to possess.
All of the rhetoric in the continuation of the above report about Tibi's hypocrisy, and Arabs' desire to remain under the control is, likewise, also irrelevant, and will not take us anywhere in the political battle of words anyway.
MK Tibi does not give a hoot about 1947 UN Partition borders, unless it is a reasonable stepping stone to the borders which he truly envisions for his people, the same vision of the "Palestinian" Authority [PA].

The Arabs protesting over the failed Bedouin Resettlement Bill, invoking the names of unrecognized Bedouin towns, and sing the "Palestinian" National Anthem possess the attitude that we should possess, and should have possessed, leading up to the expulsion of Jews from Azza (Gaza) in 2005/תשס"ה.
This has always been the gross error of the mamlakhtim (undying State loyalists), leaving this element of the misswah (Torah commandment) out. They view the State not only as the means to an end, but as an end in and us itself, an end to our participation in the process of ge'ulah (redemption), to be picked up by Mashi'ah, while we sit around and play soldiers, with real children who get killed (לא עלינו).
What are they waiting for? Signs and wonders?
Ramba"m, Laws of Kings and Wars11:6 Do not let your opinion be that Melech HaMashi'ah (the King Messiah) needs to do signs and wonders, and renew things in the world, or resurrect the dead, and such things that stupid people say...
No Qorban Pesah (Passover Sacrifice on the Temple Mount). We're "not ready." No rebuilding of the Temple. We're not ready. Sorry, but I do not recall any source that says we have to be "ready." There are misswoth to be done, and so we must do them,...properly.
One of those misswoth is to conquer the Land,...properly.
Instead, we choose to battle the Arabs with words, ie. "Hasbara."
The Yishma'elim (Arabs) picked up this strategy from Esau (the West/Christians). The irony is that they know that our desperate need for validation and acceptance by non-Jews is so powerful that we fall for this rouse every time.
The Yishma'elim do not really care about words. They understand strength. This is why they were effectively put at bay in 1948/תשכ"ז, 1967/תש"ח, and 1973/תשל"ד. They received a pounding that took them a while to forget. This is also why our half-measures of 2006/תשס"ו and 2009/תש"ע, and our unilateral self-expulsion of 2005/תשס"ה have had the opposite effect of emboldening them, instead of defeating them, once and for all.

Until we stand up, stop being wishy-washy "immigrants," and declare in no uncertain terms, that Eretz Yisra'el,...ALL of Eretz Yisra'el belongs to us, and then demonstrate that it belongs to us with appropriate actions, the Arabs will continue to see just how completely worthless our words are.
And, unfortunately, they would be right.
