Saturnalia was an ancient Roman festival in honour of the god Saturn, held on 17 December of the Julian calendar and later expanded with festivities through to 23 December. The holiday was celebrated with a sacrifice at the Temple of Saturn, in the Roman Forum, and a public banquet, followed by private gift-giving, continual partying, and a carnival atmosphere that overturned Roman social norms: gambling was permitted, and masters provided table service for their slaves....

Modern understanding of the festival is pieced together from several accounts dealing with various aspects. The Saturnalia was the dramatic setting of the multivolume work of that name by Macrobius, a Latin writer from late antiquity who is the major source for information about the holiday. In one of the interpretations in Macrobius's work, Saturnalia is a festival of light leading to the winter solstice, with the abundant presence of candles symbolizing the quest for knowledge and truth. The renewal of light and the coming of the new year was celebrated in the later Roman Empire at the Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, the "Birthday of the Unconquerable Sun", on 23 December. Although we are now led to believe that Saturnalia is the holiday, in which people, during the winter, conserved the kindling of mother nature by bringing evergreens into their home.

The popularity of Saturnalia continued into the 3rd and 4th centuries AD, and as the Roman Empire came under Christian rule, many of its customs were recast into or at least influenced the seasonal celebrations surrounding Christmas and the New Year.

The placement of Saturnalia in mid to late December makes sense astrologically, as the sign of Capricorn (December 22 - January 19) is "ruled" by the planet Saturn, not to mention the coincidence of the Winter Solstice and the secular New Year. Saturn (Gr.: Chronos) was the god of time, ie. "Father Time/Baby New Year" December 31/January 1.

But, Christmas customs have actually been borrowed stolen from many different religions and cultures, coming before it, and not just from the Romans, just like Christianity mythology itself was borrowed.

Although there has been an ongoing movement of Christians to remove the pagan aspects from Christmas, such as the Christmas tree itself -- as if worshiping a false deity wasn't pagan -- prompting "religious" Jews to view them as fundamentally different than the Christians of old. This is, of course, is ridiculous, as these Christians use the same mythological and sociopolitical texts to justify their belief and worship of, a false deity.

This is not your typical 9-to-5 job.

A global translation firm based in London is hiring what it says will be the world's first official "emoji translator."

The job advertisement, which was posted online two weeks ago, has already attracted 100 applicants from around the globe.

Today Translations, the firm behind the posting, needs a specialist to help it decode how emojis translate across cultures, languages and generations.

"We are investing time and energy into this is because we believe emoji usage will become more and more popular," said Jurga Zilinskiene, CEO and founder of Today Translations. "It's a complex area."

So true...sort of. The picture language is being encouraged by globalists trying to make a tiqqun (repair of sorts) for the Tower of Babel.

No. I am not kidding. Language is a big barrier to unity.

They tried popularizing English, even making it a necessity. But, apparently that wasn't enough.

The fact that people speak all kinds of languages and do not understand each other through one language alone is a great barrier to unity and prevents the globalists from uniting all the nations of the world under their control. In every generation they have tried to unite the nations of the world through language. The success of English becoming very popular and even a necessity is not enough for them. That's why we are encouraged to use image language, that is, emojis.

Their ultimate goal of erasing of national borders will be accomplished more easily once they erase linguistic borders.They tried popularizing English, even making it a necessity. But, apparently that wasn't enough.

One dead and 11 injured after van ploughs into Muslim worshippers in Finsbury Park in fourth UK attack in past three months

A man from Cardiff is believed to be responsible for a terrorist attack that left one person dead and 11 injured when a van he was driving ploughed into a group of worshippers near a mosque in north London.

Darren Osborne, 47, is alleged to have shouted “I want to kill all Muslims – I did my bit” after the hired van hit a crowd that had gathered to help an elderly man who had collapsed near a mosque.

The Met said a 47-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of terrorism including murder and attempted murder in the immediate aftermath of the incident, which occurred near two mosques in Finsbury Park after late prayers in the small hours of Monday morning.

On Monday neighbours in Pentwyn, where Osborne had lived for several years, described him as “aggressive” and “strange”. They said that over the weekend he told a 10-year old Muslim neighbour he was an “inbred” and had been thrown out of a local pub for getting drunk “cursing Muslims and saying he would do some damage”.

Witnesses to the attack said it had occurred after a small crowd had gathered around a man who had collapsed outside the Muslim Welfare House near the Finsbury Park mosque, when the van ploughed into them at around 12.20am.

One man, who did not want to give his name, said he and his friends had stopped to help the “elderly man” who was lying on the ground.

“In seconds this terrible thing happened,” he said. “Within a minute a van with speed turned to where we were and ran over the man who was laying on the floor and the people around him. Around eight or 10 people got injured, some of them seriously. Thank God I’m safe but my friends got injured.”

Onlookers said the driver then got out of the van and shouted “I want to kill all Muslims” before he was wrestled to the ground. (cont.)

I have no doubt in my mind that Osborne will be used as an excuse for the British government to monitor, criticize, and quash unwanted speech. The government will apply the “you need us” strategy in order to convince the masses that new restrictions on speech will be "for their own good."

Whether Osborne is a nationalist, an unstable nut, a pawn, or just fed up and drunk, his actions will be used to support increased restrictions on the populace.

In the chaos and terror of the moment, events might have taken an even darker turn.
Outside the Muslim Welfare Centre, three men wrestled to the ground the driver of a van which had ploughed into people leaving the mosque. 

Amid confusion, distress and anger, a crowd gathered. Fists and feet struck out. Suddenly a voice shouted: “No one touch him – no one! No one!”

It came from Mohammed Mahmoud, the mosque’s imam, later hailed as the hero of the day. He urged the crowd to be calm and restrained until the police arrived.

Speaking to reporters on Monday afternoon, Mahmoud said he had not been the only one urging restraint. “It wasn’t me alone, there were a group of brothers. They were calm and collected and managed to calm people down and to extinguish any flames of anger or mob rule that would have taken charge had this group of mature brothers not stepped in.”
He said he had just finished leading prayers in the mosque when “a brother came in, quite panicked, and said that somebody had run over a group of people and tried to kill them”. 

He added: “We arrived at the scene within minutes and we found the assailant on the floor. He had been restrained by around three people. 

“We found a group of people quickly started to collect around the assailant. And some tried to hit him, either kicks or punches. By God’s grace we manage to surround him and to protect him from any harm. We stopped all forms of attack and abuse towards him that were coming from every angle.

“A police van drove past so we flagged them down and we told them the situation. There’s a man, he’s restrained. He mowed down a group of people and there’s a mob attempting to hurt him. If you don’t take him, God forbid he might be seriously hurt.”

He added: “There was a mob attempt to hurt him, so we pushed people away from him until he was safely taken by police.” 

The man was unscathed, he said. 

In a statement Toufik Kacimi, the mosque and welfare centre’s chief executive, praised Mahmoud’s bravery and courage, which he said “helped calm the immediate situation after the incident and prevented further injuries and potential loss of life”. He later said he was “the hero of the day”.

Mahmoud had told him that others had helped to calm people down. “The crowd was extremely angry, unhappy, so some people started acting violently too,” said Kacimi.

One of the men who held the suspect on the ground, 29-year-old cafe owner Mohammed, said: “The imam came from the mosque and he said, ‘Listen, we are fasting, this is Ramadan, we are not supposed to do these kinds of things, so please step back.’ 

“For that reason this guy is still alive today. This is the only reason. If the imam was not there, he wouldn’t be there today.” (cont.)

The actions of these Muslim "heroes" will be exploited  British government, just like it will exploit Osborne, in its ongoing campaign of convincing the masses that Muslims residing in the UK are not an actual threat,…in spite of the hate speech and incitement flowing out of British mosques in the form of "sermons."

They knew that hiding the anger and violent attitude of this community's members would not be realistic. Or perhaps, they banked on the average British citizen to identify with the anger of the community over the attack. Natural enough reaction, right?

I wonder if anyone in this community was tipped-off informed that Osborne was coming. After all, wouldn’t 11 Muslims being “sent to heaven as martyrs” be a small price to pay for such positive publicity? Or perhaps, a mistake was made, and they weren't cleared out in time.  On second thought, if the British government functions in the same way as the American, Israeli, and other governments, then have operatives and informants working within various mosques. After all, the powers that be may want the masses to fight each other, in a classic “divide and conquer’ and “keep the masses distracted” approaches. However, they certainly would not want risk the safety of their own lives, thus the importance of monitoring, and when necessary restricting, communications, and maintaining control, particularly over defined areas of conflict.

The London Bridge incident is being investigated as terrorism, and former U.S. law enforcement officials are not surprised.

Just two weeks after the deadly attack at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, the United Kingdom is responding to as many as three different incidents, including a van crashing into a crowd at the London Bridge and a series of stabbings reported at nearby Borough Market.

“It appears to be ISIS related—this is the result of the West not recognizing that we are at war,” former member of the FBI National Joint Terrorism Task Force, Steve Rogers, told Fox News. “The United Kingdom Is learning that they must change their rules of engagement and their national policies regarding immigration.”

Former deputy secretary at the Department of Homeland Security under President George W. Bush, James Norton, told Fox News that this attack, reportedly occurring in multiple locations throughout London, is similar to that of the Paris attacks in November 2015.

“This is another ISIS style attack that we have seen in France, using vehicles as a weapon, as well as knives and other day to day items as weapons of terror,” Norton told Fox News. (cont.)

The short answer I gave him was to choose from a list of possibilities....

A. They are idiots.

B. They ignore the news reports of car (and tractor) ramming and stabbing attacks on Jews in Israel by Arabs, both by those illegally occupying sections of the Jewish homeland, known as Yehduah and Shomron (Judea and Samaria), and those carrying Israeli citizenship.

C. They think that Arab attacks on Jews are not really attacks. After all, they are only Jews!

D. All of the above

Sure, the "they" making the ridiculous comment was only person. Nevertheless, the total neglect of identical attacks by calling them ISIS style is not not in the least bit surprising. I am positive that he is not the only one who has been processing world events in this manner.

Britain's New Prime Minister, Brexit, and Scottish Independence

After the recent Brexit referendum, in which the majority of the British public expressed the opinion to leave the European Union [EU], the sitting Prime Minister of the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" [UK],

"Great Britain" is made up of England, Scotland, and Wales. Scotland has already held one referendum for independence from the UK. It has been theorized that its majority "NO" vote on Brexit may be used to initiate another referendum on Scottish independence.

Of course, speculation has also been made as whether the Brexit referendum will be acted on in the first place.

The newly sworn-in Prime Minister Theresa May appears to answer these questions, or at least relays her objections regarding these questions, as of today.


Prime Minister May made a point of reminding, if not educating, the British People as to the full title of the current government's ruling party

"...the full title of my party is the Conservative and Unionist Party. And that word 'unionist' is very important to me. It means we believe in The Union,...the precious, precious bond between England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland." (00:50)

She later addressed the next question.

"Following the Referendum, we face a time of great national change. And I know, because we're Great Britain, that we will rise to the challenge. As we leave the European Union, we will forge, forge a bold, new, positive, role for ourselves in the world. And we will make Britain a country that works not for a privileged few, but for everyone of us. That will be the mission of the government I lead. And together, we will build a better Britain. Only time will tell if Scotland remains according to the Prime Minister's apparent wishes, and if the UK does, indeed, leave the EU.

Just one more thing, if the Scottish people believe that they can be be independent, by leaving the UK, and remaining in the EU (or returning to it, as the case may be), then the wool has truly been successfully pulled over their eyes.

I believe that either way, the powers that be have seen this coming, and will use nationalism against itself, Scottish, British, Catalonian, what have you.

A 52-year-old man was arrested near Market Street, Birstall, West Yorkshire Police said. The MP holds a weekly advice surgery nearby. The MP's death was confirmed at police headquarters in Wakefield.

A 52-year-old man, named in reports as Thomas Mair, has been arrested. Mair lived locally and was known to have had mental health problems. There are reports that he had links to far-right groups. Eye-witnesses said he shouted “Britain first” as he attacked Cox, with witnesses described as a hunting knife and a “home-made” gun. (cont.)

Was MP Jo Cox (Labour) killed accidentally, when a "crazy" British nationalist started a fight, and MP Cox attempted to intervene? After all, who could possibly predict that she would intervene in a fight?

Or maybe they knew that intervening was exactly the kind of thing she would do. Her death, or rather her martyrdom, gains sympathy for the side of Britain remaining in the EU. It demonizes British nationalists and nationalism, which not only serves to push the creation and maintenance of large, political unions (ie. cluster states), but also that of population exchange, further weakening nationalist causes, also on the Globalist agenda.

Mira Bar Hillel, an Israel born write living in England, made a few faux pas.

One such faux pas was the grouping together of Ethiopian Jews and African insurgents, whom she calls "refugees."

I wonder if she would not mind living in the same neighborhood with such "refugees," with their thievery, sexual harassment, and other assorted criminal behavior, forcing the residents of South Tel-Aviv to be on constant guard. Just ask May Golan, South Tel-Aviv resident and activist.

One of these refugees even slugged a sitting Member of K'neseth [MK].

To suggest that these insurgents, running to a Jewish country, because they know that Muslim countries will not give them any handouts, have the same right to reside is Eretz Yisra'el (Land of Israel) as Jews, regardless of origin, is at the least is "border-erasing" globalist imperialism, and at wost a sure path of destruction of the Jewish People.

Furthermore, lumping together extremely diverse groups of people, speakers of hundreds of languages, members of various religions, are all the same, due to their somewhat similar skin pigmentation isn't prejudice?

It is as if she had suggested that ethnic Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese, and Mung, are all the same. I do not believe that anyone would disagree that this is racist.

Well, Ashager Araro, a senior at the Interdisciplinary College in Hertzliyah, put Bar Hillel in her place.

Bar Hillel lives in England. But, Arano lives here in Israel. She also happens to be Jewish and Ethiopian. Who better to speak from an Ethiopian Jewish perspective that a Jewish Ethiopian?

I am posting this story and video for one reason. In 1998, I flew to England for a two week university course. It was the only time I ever left Israel, since first arriving the year before.

I was bumped up to first class, because the flight was overbooked. Eden was there on the same plane, being inundated by 10 and 11 year old girl fans, who sneaked into first class to get her autograph. The El Al flight crew was mostly cool about relaxing the rules about letting Eden's young fans into first class.

I remember that Eden was totally cool to her fans, greeted them with a big smile, and signed autographs for each and everyone of them.

Let us hope that her fans will be impressed, and follow her example.


Well, actually I have a second reason for posting this. A friend of mine whose birthday was on Shabbath is an MTV history mumheh (expert). So, I thought that he would get a kick out of this.

MTV did not stand in the way of either of us from sticking with a Torah-observant life style, although I am afraid I cannot recommend watching MTV now.

The Conference of European Rabbis (CER) has finalized preparations for its 29th conference to be held next Tuesday in Toulouse, France, timed to mark 70 years since the Nazi Third Reich surrendered in France.

Attending the conference will be around 200 of the leading rabbis and dayanim (rabbinical judges) in Europe, led by the Head of the European Beit Din (EBD), Rabbi Chanoch Hacohen Ehrentreu, as well as Jewish organization heads from 32 countries.

EBD President Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt said topics to be discussed at the event include fighting assimilation, Judaism among the younger generation, Jewish education and ensuring the safety and future of the Jewish people.

The conference is to last three days, with various discussions and lectures lasting until next Thursday.

It will start with Rabbi Goldshmidt and CER Vice-President Rabbi Haim Korsia, who is the chief rabbi of France, presenting French Prime Minister Manuel Valls with the Lord Jakobovits Prize for his warm relations with the Jewish community in his country - which is the largest Jewish community in Europe.

Another CER Vice-President, Rabbi Ya'akov Dov Bleich, who is the chief rabbi of Ukraine, will lead an event on preserving Jewish identity and fighting anti-Semitism on the first day of the conference.

It will be attended by Antonio Tajani, one of the vice-presidents of the European Parliament, as well as numerous EU dignitaries and politicians, and ambassadors of European nations.

Also speaking at the event will be Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein (Likud).

In an event Wednesday honoring the Jewish soldiers who fought in World War Two, Ashkenazic Chief Rabbi of Israel Rabbi David Lau is to deliver an address.

Did the Conference of European Rabbis tell Jews in Europe that fleeing from France to England doesn't make one damn bit of difference, because if Britain is not as dangerous as France is now, then it will be soon? So much for the French Prime Minister's "warm relations with the Jewish community in his country." A lot of good that has done them!

But, I digress...

Did the Conference of European Rabbis tell Jews in Europe that Israel is their only true homeland, and that Europe is only a temporary dwelling place for them, just like Egypt was supposed to be?

I tend to doubt it. But, if I am wrong, then by all means leave a comment, correcting my belief. If anything, this certainly does not appear to be the Conference of European Rabbis policy.

I can only hope that Ashkenazy Chief Rabbi of Israel Rabbi David Lau, whose father Former Chief Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau survived the Holocaust, will delivery these messages, and that Prime Minister Netanyahu will repeat his previous call for Jews to make aliyah.

The state of anti-Semitism has never been as serious as on the eve of this forum. Seventy years since the darkest chapter in the history of Europe, anti-Semitism is reaching levels which have yet to be seen, and there is barely a single area in Europe which is free of hatred towards Jews. British synagogue in the northern England town of Bradford last week appointed an unlikely candidate to its council: a Muslim man.

The Reform temple, which was built in the late 19th century, had fallen into disrepair by 2013 and only with the help of the city’s Council for Mosques did the Jewish community raise enough money to get it back in working order.

One of those who helped in acquiring funds was Jani Rashid, the head of diversity and cohesion at Bradford Council’s children’s services. To thank the Muslim community and solidify their partnership, the chair of the synagogue’s board, Rudi Leavor, told the British Jewish News outlet, “We thought it would be a splendid idea to co-opt Jani to the Council. When the proposal was put to him he assented immediately.” (cont.)

This is what I see in this report is that:

1. The so-called "Reform Movement" rejects the separate and distinct nature of the Jewish People, in favor of assimilation, and solidifying its "partnership" with goyim in galuth (exile), including Muslims. A Muslim was invited to be a guest speaker at a "Conservative" synagogue in Paris last Yom Kippur. No surprises here. A possible trend?

2. The Bradford Synagogue raised enough money to get it back into working order, only with the help of the Muslim community.

3. This community has now fooled itself into remaining in galuth, continue its investment in galuth and in the land of its exile, instead of working toward leaving for its only, true homeland, Eretz Yisrael (Land of Israel).

4. This community is doomed, thanks to its "Jewish" leaders.

Many segments of the Jewish People are focused on the outside for its emotional and existential validation, but also when it concerns threats to its future. We are ready to slobber over "the other" in gratitude, or to blame "the other" any threats directed toward us. But, self-examination seems to be out of our reach.

What about Arafat's emblem of "Palestine," which encompassed ALL of Israel, not just Yehudah, Shomron, and Azza (Judea, Samaria, and Gaza)?

While, he and his flunkies want to chop up, and give away our Divinely promised homeland, which not ours to divide up and give away, the Arabs are giggling behind his back, decrying, "That stupid, pathetic Jew! What a sucker!"

Has Moss not heard of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem's collaboration with the Nazis? Or does he really believe that Arabs can change? How many more Jews have to be shot, bombed, or missiled,  before they "change," Mr. Moss?

There are nuances which separate the more conservative, UK Reform Movement from the UK Liberal Movement, and its counterpart in the U. S. and elsewhere. But, the overall approach of inclusion, rather than the Torah-dictated separation and distinction, and their joining at the hip through the World Union for Progressive Judaism [WUPJ], lead to the same results: through intermarriage, quasi-conversions, acceptance by many of patrilineal descent, assimilation, giving away of Eretz Yisra'el, one piece at a time, and supporting our sworn enemies, physical and spiritual, we are being destroyed from within.

I am continually dumbfounded by how these people are able to pass this kind of crap off as "Judaism." They forsake our Divinely promised Homeland. They reach out to Yishma'el (Arabs/Muslims) and attach themselves to Esau (The West in its various forms), attributes of the Erev Rav (Kol HaTor). 

When Jews do make it to Israel, the minions of the liberal movements are here, ready, and waiting, and with their claws digging deeper into the Israeli public school system. The leftist, Israeli courts are enamored by them.

Organizations, such as Lehava and Yad LeAchim, are demonized as racist. Even though they fight to prevent Jewish women from entering a life of misery, and Jewish men from being seduced into a life without Jewish children, and even seduced into entering a trap, leading to their deaths.

Liberal Jewish, spiritual leaders, who are comically called "rabbis," are probably not even culpable for their actions. They are hardly aware that they have been designated as bearers of their masters' false message, panned off as a "legitimate Torah perspective," and brainwashed into believing that they are actually helping the Jewish People. Even though nothing could be farther from the truth.

They are just hapless pawns of the Erev Rav, set on our destruction from within.

The Nazis may have been conscious of what they were doing, while liberal Jewish leaders might not be. But, why should we be any less outraged by their pursuits, than by Nazis planning a march through a Jewish neighborhood in London?

The Nazis are at least carrying a message that the UK is not the home of the Jewish People, and encouraging goyim to stay away from us.

If only we would heed this message.

“In the center of Germany, Europe’s largest menorah and one of the largest menorahs in the world stands tall at over 30 feet saying that light will always at the end prevail,” said Rabbi Yeuhuda Teichtal, head of the Chabad Lubavitch orthodox community in Berlin. “The message is today, with all the challenges we face, with all the anti-Semitic acts we unfortunately have to experience, nevertheless we are here and we will continue with acts of goodness and kindness.”

Thousands of Berliners gathered outside on Dec. 16 to watch Teichtal and German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere light the first Hanukkah candle on the menorah. Other dignitaries present at the ceremony included Mayor Michael Müller, Israeli Ambassador Yakov Hadas-Handelsman, and German parliament members Maria Böhmer and Petra Pau. Chabad has lit a menorah on same site for over a decade, Chabad.org reported.

Teichtal told NPR Berlin there is nothing more symbolic than lighting the candles in front of the Brandenburg Gate, which he described as “a center of darkness and of evil where Hitler stood.”

“Today, 5,000 people, coming with the Minister of the Interior of Germany and the Mayor of Berlin, said that light will win over darkness and democracy over tyranny,” he said after the lighting ceremony on Dec. 16. He told the crowd that gathered, “We’re here and we’re proud, living in a land of democracy and respect.”

Teichtal moved to Germany from the U.S. 18 years ago because the country needed new rabbis, according to NPR Berlin. He set up Germany’s first yeshiva, or Jewish school, since the Nazis shut them down in the 1940s. New rabbis are now graduating in Germany at a new rabbinical college in Potsdam.

Germany’s Jewish community is widely considered to be the fastest growing Jewish community in the world, NPR Berlin reported. A few thousand Jews survived in Germany after World War II but now more than 200,000 live in the country. The biggest local community is in Berlin and includes many Israelis who moved to Germany from Tel Aviv.

Chabbad Rabbi Teichtel says that "...light will always at the end prevail." Yet, the light includes that the homeland of the Jewish People is in Israel, and not in Europe. Ironically, it was another Rabbi Teichtel, Rabbi Yisachar Shlomo Teichtel hy"d, who over 70 years ago, saw the writing on the wall, warned Jews to get out of Europe and encouraged them to make their way to Israel, defying his own community's anti-Zionist sentiment.

So, is having Europe's largest Hanukkiyah (Hanukkah menorah) publicly displayed in Germany something to be proud of?

Perhaps Rabbi Teichtel will do some good by waking up these wandering Jews up to their heritage, which is Torah. Nevertheless, our Jewish hearts and minds should always be focused on the Land of Israel. The investment of our Jewish time, energy, and sentiment should not be on the lands of our exile.

Contrary to the galuth (exilic) mentality, these statistics are not anything to be proud of. Israelis leaving Israel and moving back into galuth is not something to be proud of. England, France, and Sweden may be falling fast, while Germany stands strong as one of Israel's "friends." But, do not think that Jews residing in Germany are immune to the dangers of galuth, both physical and spiritual.

Prime Minister David Cameron and other government leaders abstained, and more than half of the 650 Commons members did not participate in the vote.

The initial motion that was debated declared: “This House urges the government to recognize the State of Palestine alongside the State of Israel.” It was subsequently amended to add the phrase “as a contribution to securing a negotiated two-state solution.” (cont.)

Labour’s former foreign secretary Jack Straw during the debate: “The only thing that the Israeli Government understand, under the present demeanour of Benjamin Netanyahu, is pressure. What the House will be doing this evening will be to add to the pressure on the Government of Israel. That is why they are so worried about this resolution passing. Were it just a gesture… they would not be bothered at all. They are very worried indeed because they know that it will have an effect.”

Well, Jack Straw got that right.

This is by far not the first time, nor I am afraid the last time, that we have succumbed to our sick and desperate, co-dependent, delusional need to have our existence validated and accepted from the outside, from the non-Jewish, "international community."

He was not the only totally clueless, assimilated Jew expressing his un-Jewness in Parliament. MP Gerald Kaufmann (Labour) was there as well, "denouncing Israeli Atrocities in Palestine."

I suppose that the use of women, children, and the handicapped, by Hamas as human shields had nothing to do with the number of their casualties, and that the Jewish kids hiding out in bomb shelters were just chopped liver.

Even Jewish MP Mike Freer (Conservative) who resigned over the vote, warned that the resolution "harms the 'two-state solution' on the grand scale." Such deep internment in the galuth (exile) mentality never ceases to floor me.

I still cannot understand why Miliband, Kaufman, Freer, and others bother to invest their efforts in a country which is not even really theirs. Money? Power? Creature comforts?

Meanwhile, the non-Jewish MP's were not to be outdone. Infamous Jew-hater MP George Galloway (Respect) declared that "The West has double standards when it comes to Israel."

Well, I must say that he certainly got that right, but not in the manner he believes.

And though the Israeli Government is horribly flawed, often approaching the challenges which face the Jewish People from a backwards, and almost always Godless, perspective, is occasionally does try to do the right thing.

Those on the side of truth always win out.

Jews and non-Jews alike have insisted on the existence of some sort of genocidal, Zionist conspiracy being responsible for the limited deaths of Israelis, during the latest Gaza War. Of course, the truth is  The Almighty, is on our side, and showed us His mercy. 

His validation and acceptance is all that we ever need. It is high time that we stop wasting our time and energy on what human beings think about us, and focus.

No wonder why there is a rise in Jew-hating violence. History has shown that, unfortunately, this is  one of the most effective ways for us to get the message.

Scotland’s only local-born rabbi, and the creator of the only official Jewish tartan pattern, believes that, “From the Jewish perspective, we’re hoping for a ‘no vote,’ in the vote for independence,” from the United Kingdom on Thursday. “From my understanding, a majority of the Jewish community, or ‘the’ majority of the Jewish community wants a ‘no’ vote,” Rabbi Mendel Jacobs, told The Algemeiner Tuesday.

“I don’t think a nationalist country has ever been good for Jews,” Jacobs said of fears within the 10,000-member community, and stressed “that if [the vote] went yes, anti-Jewish sentiments would increase.” (cont.)

By now, we have all heard that Scotland will not be reclaiming its independence, anytime soon.

Still, I cannot help but comment on it, not because I have any feelings about Scottish independence one way or another. But, rather, since I have become quite jaded over the years when it comes to "major" news items, why they are being reported on, and why others are not.

What is the issue of Scottish Independence designed to distract us from? The Ethnic minorities in Iraq who are getting slaughtered? Financial shenanigans going on behind the scenes? The British Parliament or other government voting on something completely unrelated, as the same time, so that no one will notice their rights being chipped away?

Your guess is as good as any. But, what concerns me, is whenever there are Jews who have been sucked into the process, albeit unbeknownst to themselves.

Rabbi Jacobs might just be one of those Jews.

In all fairness to Rabbi Jacobs, I have no doubt that he cares very deeply for Am Yisrael, and does whatever is in his power to assist and support the Scottish, Jewish community, and to bring its members closer to Torah and to maintain an environment, conducive to Jewish, spiritual life.

In addition, he does touch upon the issue of aliyah (Jewish immigration to Israel),...

...unlike some Scottish Jews who have succeeded in resettling elsewhere, including in Israel, “some can’t leave – they’re stuck,” either due to age or infirmities. 

So, how about using any time and energy spent on dabbling in exile-related issues, such as goyshe designs to help Jews feel more comfortable in galuth (exile) and local referenda, on helping those who are "stuck" to get out, and resettle in Israel?

Another Jew from Scotland has a different take on the issue...

Nick Henderson, 26, was born and raised in Glasgow, and emigrated to Israel in 2004. While he’s friends with Jacobs – who is even sending him yarmulkes made with the “Chosen” tartan – Henderson, who holds an absentee ballot, told The Algemeiner on Tuesday that he has mixed feelings about Scottish independence, both as a Scot, and as one who left to make his life in the Jewish homeland.

While calling Scotland ”a safe place, a warm place, for Jews,” he pointed to unpleasant experiences, as an identifying pro-Israel Jew.

“You’re judged on your Judaism by how much you criticize Israel or not,” he charged.

“When I started at my previous job, the first thing my boss asked me was what I thought about Palestine and Israel,” adding that if Jews don’t hew to the popular anti-Israel tropes, “you’re seen as a Zionist, in a negative sense.”

He noted comments by Scotland’s pro-independence movement leader, First Minister Alex Salmond, who on Sunday equated Israel with ISIS, as exemplifying the hard left attitude towards Israel among some in Scotland.

The bottom line, either way you slice it, is clear. Which is better, an independent Scotland with an ignorant, Israel-hating First Minister, and citizens telling Jews they must possess anti-Torah beliefs, or be ostracized, or an United Kingdom with Scotland, already filled to the brim with potential murderers of Jews?

Nick Henderson, for whatever reasons, seems to have gotten the message somehow, left the country of his birth and exile, and came to live in his only true homeland, the Land of Israel.

One day, I pray, we will no longer see ourselves as Scottish Jews or American Jews, Russian Jews or Moroccan Jews (nor Ashekenazi, Sepharadi, Yemenite), but just Jews living in the Land of Israel.

I actually never thought I would have to write an article like this, from the green and pleasant land of England. However it is becoming truly frightening to be a Jew in UK. What is so remarkable is how quickly it all appears to have happened. One can now start to experience what it must have been like in parts of Europe under Nazi threat, when friends and neighbours suddenly and without warning, turn on you because you are Jewish.

In the last week or so alone, we have seen the Tricycle Theatre banning the annual JEWISH film festival, which is one of the most important Jewish events of the calendar. The famous Edinburgh Fringe arts festival has also banned Israeli connected theatre groups.

We have the Parliamentary Member from Bradford, a large town in Yorkshire, announcing his town to be “Israeli” free, as well as reading that a leading Scottish Nationalist has apparently declared that an independent Scotland will be “Israeli free”. None of us are surely naïve enough to not understand that in practice it means Judenfrei, unless individual Jews renounce their loyalty to Israel.

Leading Supermarkets have been invaded and ransacked by anti-Israel terrorists, threatening staff and customers. The supermarkets have succumbed to this terrorism, with rumours swirling around that they are soon to stop selling all Israeli products. Only a day or two ago, a major supermarket in Central London, actually took all kosher products off the shelf. Think about that… all Jewish products banned, many not even from Israel at all. Over 100,000 people marched through London recently in an anti-Israel and anti-Jewish orgy of sheer hatred. I know people whose life-long friends are putting the most hideous anti-Semitic ranting on their “Facebook” pages.

Our Jewish so called leaders have let us down. I personally haven’t seen nor read any leading member of our Jewish representative bodies, or Rabbis, standing up in public for our community.

This is not a good time to be a Jew in Britain . Apparently in France it is far worse. We are being cowed and terrorised by home grown anti-Semites, and by imported oriental ones.

Only in the last few days have some of the leading Newspaper columnists begun to wake up to the hatred they have themselves stirred up by their coverage of Gaza, replete with its ancient Jewish blood libel of deliberate child sacrifice.

Natan Sharansky said recently that Europe is death to Jews, and he is so correct. History shows that anything can generate the hatred. If it wasn’t Gaza it would be something else.

What can I say? Natan Sharansky is right about at least one thing. Europe IS death to Jews.

The author of this piece, Lloyd Levy, is also right, and provides us with a comprehensive report of recent, Jew-hating events in England.

I am not in the least bit surprised by any of these events, and neither should any of the large number of religious British Jews. These attitudes and events are written all over the Tana"kh (Bible), and elaborated upon by Our Sages, may their memories be for blessings (HaZa"L).

What concerns me about Levy's piece is that he seems to write as if England being Judenfrei is a bad thing. Why is it a bad thing? Jews are not supposed to be living in England; we are supposed to be living in the Land of Israel.

Galuth (exile) is a punishment, a punishment which we have so easily forgotten is a punishment. It does not matter how well British Jews have survived oppression, and have battled against discrimination. It does not matter that British Jews have successfully contributed to British society, and have even produced a Jewish prime minister.

All that matters is that British Jews see the writing on the wall, read it, internalize it, and recognize that it is simply NOT going to go away.

"This is not your home!"

When Levy says that our leaders have let us down, he is right for the wrong reasons. What would he expect them to do? Fight against Esau (The West) and Yishma'el (Arabs/Muslims) simultaneously?

Although correct in this regard, Levy fails to mention any solution to the problems faced by Jews in England and elsewhere, to which, of course, there is only one.

Attitudes such as "sticking around for the fight" and "not giving up" [on our countries of exile] are completely misguided.

Only recently, European Jewish Congress President Dr. Moshe Kantor expressed the same sort of sentiment. Kantor himself compared the current atmosphere in Europe with that of pre-World War II Europe, in other words, pre-Holocaust Europe. Kantor definitely appears to be one of those so called leaders which are letting British, and other European, Jews down.

Why are our so called leaders blind to this? Are they afraid of losing their power? Their positions? Their money? Haven't they thought about their lives? The families? Their future?

Is the answer to another Holocaust scenario really to stick around and fight? Fight for what? To continuing living in the Exile?

England is not the home of the Jewish People. Neither is France nor the U. S. of A. The Land of Israel is our home. However, even now that the gates to our Homeland have been opened, many of us are still stuck, unwilling to give up the lives that we know, in exchange for the unknown challenges of building a new life in Israel, which most of us still see as a foreign country, or at best, an historical tourist attraction.

And, before you get the chance to list the countless flaws of the Israeli Government, allow me to beat you to the punch. Whether we have the ideal people in charge, throwing orders around, or the ideal form of government controlling the Land of Israel, or not, is irrelevant. Either we will step up to the plate, and form a proper Jewish government, or wait around for Mashi'ah to do it for us. Either way, the Labor Zionist State of Israel is only temporary.

At the risk of being accused of being an alarmist and Apocalyptic nut job, I would like to suggest that it is only going to get worse. I would like to believe that The Almighty does not want to leave a single one of His People behind, and needs to get our attention somehow. As I said above, this should not come as a surprise. However, it does. This is the sort of thing which happens, after 2,000 years of being inundated by the influence of cultures, not our own.

Many of us, even rabbis, have gone so far as to internalize the confusion of Western, cultural values and sensibilities with our own. They are not one and the same.

Likewise, many of us, even rabbis, have internalized the confusion of Western lands of exile with our own true Homeland.

The thought of picking up and moving to Israel is the furthest thought from their minds!

And so, galuth is so deeply ingrained within us, that it have to take a particularly nasty kick in the pants to snap us out of it, and to get us ready, both mentally and spiritually, to come home.

May The Almighty have mercy on us!

YNET: Saudi king warns Mideast jihadists will soon target West
King Abdullah says 'terrorism knows no border' and would reach Europe, America in months if they are not stopped.

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has warned that Western countries will be the next target of the radical jihadists sweeping through Syria and Iraq, unless there is "rapid" action to curb their growth.

"If we ignore them, I am sure they will reach Europe in a month and America in another month," he said in remarks quoted on Saturday by Asharq al-Awsat daily and Saudi-backed Al-Arabiya television station.

Speaking at a welcoming ceremony on Friday for new ambassadors – including a new envoy from Saudi ally the United States – King Abdullah warned of the threat posed by a resurgent terror movements: "Terrorism knows no border and its danger could affect several countries outside the Middle East."

The world's top oil exporter shares a 500-mile border with Iraq, where Islamic State militants and other Sunni Islamist groups have seized towns and cities.

Lack of action would be "unacceptable" in the face of the phenomenon, King Abdullah said.

"You see how they (jihadists) carry out beheadings and make children show the severed heads in the street," he said, condemning the "cruelty" of such acts.

"It is no secret to you, what they have done and what they have yet to do. I ask you to transmit this message to your leaders: 'Fight terrorism with force, reason and (necessary) speed'."

Riyadh has long expressed fears of being targeted by jihadists, including some of its own citizens, who have taken part in conflicts in Iraq and Syria. Earlier this year, it decreed long jail terms for those who travel abroad to fight.

Also on Friday, US Secretary of State John Kerry called for the world to come together in a global coalition to defeat the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

"With a united response led by the United States and the broadest possible coalition of nations, the cancer of ISIS will not be allowed to spread to other countries. The world can confront this scourge, and ultimately defeat it," Kerry wrote in an opinion article for the New York Times.

The top US diplomat warned that the latest incarnation of Islamic extremism was larger and better funded. "They are equipped with sophisticated heavy weapons looted from the battlefield. They have already demonstrated the ability to seize and hold more territory than any other terrorist organization, in a strategic region that borders Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey and is perilously close to Israel."

Britain raised its terrorism alert on Friday and Prime Minister David Cameron said Islamic State posed the greatest ever security risk to the country.

The King of Saudi Arabia is rightfully concerned, concerned for his seat of power. Perhaps an Islamic State [IS] Caliphate would tolerate a subservient Saudi monarch, but would most definitely not tolerate the current Saudi monarch's decadence.

The Saudi Arabian Royal Family has long been attempting to negotiate the Arab terrorism fence, supporting terrorism when it serves their common goals, and whining about it when it does not. Members of the Royal Family have already attempted to placate extremist Sunni Muslims, the Wahabis, as in Al-Qaeda and Bin-Ladan, in the past. So, it did not surprise me in the least, when it was reported that they have been paying off the same Wahabis, now in the form of ISIS, not to attack.very extremist Sunni Muslims sweeping across Iraq and Syria, and who are now perched over, and ready to strike Lebanon, and perhaps even Turkey.

Meanwhile the King of [the British-invented country of] Jordan, also an "Abdullah," has been expressing his nervousness of the IS threat. I wonder what the Jordanian Monarch believes the "Palestinian" Pseudostinian majority in Jordan would react to an IS incursion into Jordan. Would the Pseudostinians resist it along side their Jordanian countrymen, or would they welcome them with open arms, like the Austrians did for the Nazis? The King's clever strategy of making a "Palestinian" his queen, might not turn out to have been enough to maintain their loyalty. Jordan may turn into a "Palestinian" state in name as well as in fact, whether the King likes it or not.

No doubt, Jordanian King Abdullah will seek council with his cousin Saudi King Abdullah. How will he be advised? To help in the bribery? To resist? But, then, what will the Jordanian King actually do? Will he side with whichever decision the Saudi King makes for his own kingdom? Or will he take his chances with the West? Will that include a large piece of humble pie, by seeking assistance from Israel?

And, exactly which side is the U. S. on?



Conspiracy? Not even. We have already seen the U. S. prop up various Muslim groups, hoping that they would help do some of its dirty work.

After the former Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan in the '70's, supposedly with it sights on acquiring a warm water port in the next country on its conquest list, the U. S. supported the Mohajadin rebellion against the Soviets. The Mohajadin were the precursors of the Taliban.

Who can forget the Iran-Contra affair? Making deals with the newly in power Islamic extremists, who had just usurped the Iranian Shaw, one of the greatest allies of the U. S. in the Middle East.

In the next moment, the U. S. was supporting Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, in his war against the Iranians.

He got out of control, invaded Kuwait, and killed too many of his own citizens, so it was decided that he had to be taken out. No doubt, a steady oil supply into the U. S. was a predominant, motivating factor.

So, now, who knows what connections the U. S. has with or within IS?

Also, why has the media only recently been reporting on the threat of IS? Why has this threat been suppressed? To prevent "panic?" (governments' favorite excuse, it seems)

The Saudi King has known for years how much of a threat the Wahabis are. Why has he come forward only now? Have the bribes stopped working?

And, of course, the final question, when the conflict come to Israel?

Syria's civil war (let's call it what it really is), with the mixing is of IS, has already been getting closer and closer to Israel's borders.

What are we going to do about it?

Maybe it is all one big rouse, orchestrated by the U. S., as reported by Townhal. But, I mentioned above, if this is the case, then it is bound to backfire, like all of the other times in the past.
