מזל למשה ליאון ראש עיריית ירושלים הנבחר!

הנצחון שלו אומר לנו שהחרדים ביחד עם הדתיים הלאומים הצליחו להכניס לראשות העיר מישהו שומר תורה ומצוות למרות החרדים המאוכזבים במנהיגות החרדית, החרדים שאמורים שעשו הסכם עם מחנה עופר ברקוביץ׳, והדתיים המודרמים המפחדים מהחרדים.

אולי קהילות שומרי תורה הצליחו להתאחד מספיק. אולי אוכלוסיית הדתיים פשוט מספיקה בגודל ולכן לא משנה כמה מהם הצביעו לברקוביץ'.

בכל מקרה יש עכשיו יותר דתיים במועצת עיריית ירושלים מלפני כן.

ולכן כדאי לשמאלנים לקבל את מה שהמלצתי להם לגבי אסטרטגים כדי לנצח בבחירות הבאות.

מזל טוב גם לאריה קינג יו"ר האירגון "ירושלים מאוחדת" שנבחר שוב למועצה. עדיין יש לו שני מקומות יחד עם חבר החדש במועצה יהונתן "יוני" יוסף (יחד). חבר הנבחר יוסף בן הרב יעקב יוסף זצ"ל ונחד של הרב עובדיה יוסף זצ"ל והוא פעיל למען שכונת שמעון הצדיק ולמען ירושלים בכלל.

Congratulations to Moshe Leon, Mayor of Jerusalem!

His victory shows us that the Haredim, together with the national religious, succeeded in electing aTorah-observant mayor, despite those Haredim who are disappointed with the Haredi leadership, the Haredim who apparently made a deal with the Ofer Berkowitz camp, and the modern Orthodox who are Haredi-phobic.

Maybe Jerusalem's Torah-observant communities were able to unite just enough to do this. Or maybe the religious population is simply already large enough in size, to the point that it doesn't matter how many of them voted for Berkovich.

In any case, the will be more religious people in the Jerusalem City Council now than before.

So, it may be just be worthwhile for leftists to take my strategy recommendation to them to heart in order to win the next elections. Fat chance.

Also Mazal Tov to Arieh King, Chairman of the "United Jerusalem" organization, who has been re-elected to the City Council, maintaining his two seats together with freshment Councilmember, Yehonatan "Yoni" Yosef (Yachad). Councilmember-elect Yosef is the son of Rabbi Ya'aqov Yosef ztz "l and the grandson of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef ztz "l and is an activist for the recently reclaimed Shimon HaTzadiq neighborhood, along with other causes within Jerusalem.

בואו  נדבר על הבטחת הכנסה לאברכים פעם אחרת. בינתיים אל תקראו ״הבטחת הכנסה לאברכים״ אלא ״אברכים״ בלבד. כלומר חרדים או שומרי תורה בכלל. ולכן למה יש חרדים התומכים בו? כתבתי על זה כבר ב״רק לא ברקוביץ׳!״

צריך להיות מספיק ההשקפה של עופר ברקוביץ׳ לגבי הרפורמים, הערבים, ושבת לשכנע אותכם לא להצביע לו.

We can talk about financial support for yeshiva students another time. In the meantime, do not read "financial support for yeshiva students" but rather just "yeshiva students."In other words, Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) or Torah observant in general. And so, why are there some Haredim who support him? I've already written about this in "Don't Vote for Berkowitch!"

Berkovitch's opinions regarding the the Reform Movement, the Arabs, and Shabbat should be enough to convince you not to vote for him.

If not, then I can't help you. But, I'll make a point of being there in five years to tell you that I told you so.

כל הסקרים מגלים שאם עופר ברקוביץ׳ (התעוררות) לא מנצח בסיבוב הראשון אז אין שום ספק שהוא כן יהיה מועמד בסיבוב השני.

איזה חבל שהמפלגות הדתיות לא הסתדרו ביחד מספיק כדי למנוע את ברקוביץ׳ מלהיות ראש עיריית ירולשים. בע״ה יהיה סיבוב שני עם ברקוביץ׳ נגד משה ליאון (ש״ס), ח״כ זאב אלקין (ליכוד), או יוסי דייטש (אגודת ישראל, ירושלים מאוחדת, יחד).

שמעתי שיש כמה חרדים שמצביעים לברקוביץ׳. יש אפילו כמה תומכי אריה קינג למועצת העירייה שמצביעים לו. ואין צריך לומר יש דתיים מודרנים המצביעים לו.

למה? או נמאס להם מהמנהיגות החרדית או הם עולים חדשים מצפון אמריקה וראשים שלהם עדיין חיים שמה, כאילו מנטליות גלותית, או הם פשוט השתגעו לגמרי.

אני מתפלל שיהיה סיבוב שני, וכך הזדמנות שנייה להביע למועמד ראש עיריית ירושלים שאכפת לו מה הקב"ה רוצה, דרך התורה שלו, ולא רק על מה המיעוט החילוני והדתיים המודרנים רוצים.

All polls show that if Ofer Berkowitz (Hirorerut) does not win the Jerusalem Mayoral race in the first round, then he will definitely be a candidate in the second round.

What a shame that the religious parties did not get their act together to prevent Berkovitch from becoming the mayor of Jerusalem. The second round will be with Berkovitch against Moshe Leon (Shas), or MK Zeev Elkin (Likud), or Yossi Deitch (Agudath Israel, United Jerusalem, Yachad).

I heard that there are a few Haredim who are voting for Berkovitch. There are even a few Aryeh King supporters who intend to vote for him. And, of course, there are modern orthodox who are voting for him.

Why? Either they are fed up with the Haredi leadership or are new immigrants from North America and their minds are still in North America, in other words an exilic (Diaspora) mentality, or they have just lost it completely.

I pray there is a second round, and thus a second chance for us to have a mayor of Jerusalem who cares about what The Holy One, Blessed Be He wants, vis-à-vis His Torah, and not just about what the secular minority and misguided modern orthodox want.

להתעורר בגלל מה? לפני עשר שנים שמאלנים הסתובבו בעיר להפחיד את תושבים הדתיים הלאומיים על האפשרות  שירושלים יכולה להפוך להיות עיר חרדית. ועכשיו תנועת ״התעוררות״ רוצה להגן על הזכויות של תושבי ירשולים לעשות  את מה שהם רוצים לעשות? זאת אומרת למרות התורה?

ובסיכום...

אני נציג הציבור הציוני בירושלים.
מאוד חשוד הגבר החוטף (הגונב?) את המילה ״ציוני״ מהציונים האמיתיים כמו שמפלגת ״המחנה הציוני״ עשתה והיא לא ציונית בכלל, וכמו תעונת ״העבודה הציונית״ שהתקיימה לפניה. היא גם לא ציונית בכלל והתחיל את התהליך להפריד את העניין של ציונות מהמקור האמיתי שלה, והמקור הזה הוא התורה.

ויש תרי״ג (613) מצוות בתורה ולא רק המצוות להתישב בארץ ישראל.

Now, let's take a look at the possibilities of what candidate Berkowitz might actually mean here, between the lines, that is. Of course, I am only speculating here...

Cleaning up the city is at the top of his list of priorities
Cleaning up the city of "extremists," those who are not "pluralists."

War against residents moving out of the city
War against only certain residents moving out of the city, university graduates, and young couples, who are secular, or at least modern.

The development of business centers which will bring a balanced budget to the city. 
Except for business centers in neighborhoods such as Ge'ulah and Shmuel HaNavi'. We all know that Haredim don't actually work and just take from the wallets of the secular and the "traditional." (sarcasm) Even though there is plenty of tourist money which comes into the City's pocket by way of these neighborhoods. But we're not allowed to talk about this.

Ten years after founding "Hitorerut" (Awakening), Ofer Berkowitz, the only secular candidate for mayor of Jerusalem, hopes to be the surprise of the elections.
Awaken because of what?Ten years ago, Leftists went around the city scaring Religious Zionist and modern orthodox Jews with the possibility that Jerusalem could turn into a Haredi city.  And now the Hitorerut Movement wants to protect the rights of Jerusalem residents to do what they want? In other words, in spite of the Torah??
And, in conclusion...

Very suspicious the man who hijacks (steals?) the term "Zionist" from the real Zionists, like Zionist Camp Party did, and it's not at all Zionist, and like the Labor Zionist Movement did before it. Labor Zionists are certainly not Zionist at all, and began the process of separating the concept from its true source, which is the Torah.

There are 613 Commandments in the Torah, and not the one to inhabit the Land of Israel.
