היום דיברתי עם רופא מומחה בטלפון מפני שכיום הוא לא נפגש עם מטופלים במשרד שלו. בסוף השיחה אני שאלתי אותו מתי הוא יתחיל לקבל מטופלים במשרד שלו שוב. הוא אמר שהוא יקבל מטופלים הנושאים ״דרכון ירוק״ בלבד. אני אמרתי לו שלא יהיה לי דרכון ירוק כשהוא מבצע לי בדיקה פולשנית בעוד חודשיים. הוא אמר לי שהוא יהיה מלובש ומצויד באופן הולם כשמגיעה שעת הבדיקה. והוא פירט לי את כוונתו: מדים של קרב. הוא סיים את השיחה עם המלצה להתחסן למען הבריאות שלי.
למה הוא לא יכול להיות מלובש ומצויד באופן הולם גם במשרד שלו?
ואם הוא מחוסן מה אכפת לו מדרכון ירוק?
ומה זה דרכון ירוק?

אני תומך ברופאים ובכל אנשי המקצוע הפרטיים האחרים בסיפוק שירות כפי רצונם. אבל למרות שהרופא הזה עובד במשרד הפרטי שלו, הוא גם עובד לפי חוזה עם קופת חולים. האם יתנו לרופאים העובדים לקופות החולים באופן ישיר לסרב לספק שירות לאלו שאינם נושאים דרכון ירוק? האם קופות החולים עצמן ידרושו דרכון ירוק לבסוף בכדי לקבל שירות רפואי בכלל?

מדינת ישראל היא המדינה היחידה שיש לה דרכון ירוק או אפילו משהו דומה לזה. רוב המדינות האחרות רק דורשות אישור בדיקת קורנה שלילית.

זאת אומרת כל אלה יהיה, או יוכל להיות, אסור למי שאינו נושא דרכון ירוק.
״הדרכון הירוק לא יופעל במערכת החינוך ובמקומות העבודה...״ ככה אומרים היום.
האם הם ישנו את דעתם לגבי מערכת החינוך ומקומות העבודה? מתי? מה עוד הם יטענו שצריכים את הדרכון הירוק בכדי להכנס או להצטרף בו לטובת האוכלוסייה כולה? פארקים, חופי ים, אזורי שמורת הטבע, ומקומות?
ומה עם חנויות מכולת ושוקים?
אל תדאגו. אני בטוח שהם ימשיכו לאפשר לחסרי הדרכונים הירוקים לקנות אוכל ולקבל אותו דרך משלוח. זאת אומרת שאולי לקוחות ללא דרכונים ירוקים לא יוכלו לבחור את מה לקנות בעצמם כגון פירות ורקות, בשר, דגים וכמה מוצרות אחרות. ייתכן שהם יצטרכו לסמוך על עובדי חנויות לבדוק להם שחבילות תקינות, שביצים לא נשברות ואפילו לשלם תוספת תשלום המשלוחים. לא יתנו ללקוחות האלה להביא את התיקים או שקיות רב פעמיות שלהם. אלא החנויות יצטרכו להשתמש בשקיות ניילון ונייר נוספות ומיותרות. רשימת ההשלכות נמשכת....
העיקר הוא שבעיקרון אשפר לצמצם את הבחירה או אפילו לבטל אותה, לאנשים מסוימים שאינם עומדים בציפייה החברתית להתחסן. ואגב, מה תהיה הציפייה הנוספת הבאה של החברה כוחות השלטון?
הרבה או אפילו רוב מכם, יגיבו לי שמחיר כזה לשלם למען החברה כולה הוא קטן מאוד.
באמת? האם זה? וחובה להבדק לנגיף קורונה מדי פעם הוא גם מחיר קטן?
הרבה או אפילו רוב מכם, גם יודו שכבר הקמנו מוסדות לאנשים כאלה שאינם עומדים בצפיות חברתיות.
מוסדות כאלה כוללים בתי כלא.
סליחה. אני שכחתי להודיע לכם שהדרכון הירוק גם יתן להשיג דרך אפליקציה. אתם כבר יודעים שהשבכ כבר לא עוקב אחר התפשטות נגיף קורונה דרך הטלפונים שלנו. אבל האם אתם יודעים שבמקום עקיבה כזו, אנחנו לא רק נסכים להיות במעקב, אלא גם אנחנו לנתאמץ מאוד כדי לאפשר ולבצע את המעקב בעצמנו!

Today I spoke to a doctor on the phone. Currently, this doctor does not accept patients in his office. At the end of the call, I asked him when he would start seeing patients again in his office. He said he will only be receiving patients with "green passports". I told him I wouldn't have a green passport when he performs an invasive procedure on me in a couple of months. He told me that he would be appropriately dressed and equipped when the time came for the procedure. "In battle dress," he said. He concluded the call with a recommendation to get vaccinated,... for my health.
Why can't he be appropriately dressed in his office as well?
And if he is vaccinated what does he care about a green passport for?
And what exactly is a green passport?

Coronavirus czar Prof. Nachman Ash said during a meeting of the ministerial Constitution Committee, that a "green passport" - which was to be given only for vaccinators and those recovering from the coronavirus and permits certain benefits during the pandemic - will also be given to those who did not get vaccinated and will last for of 72 hours - provided they pass a coronavirus examination. :Although I support physicians', and all other private professionals, to provide service to whomever they want, and deny service as well, this physician is being contracted by my health maintenance organization (HMO), qupat holim in Israel. Will doctors working directly for, and out of the HMO facilities, be afforded the same ability to refuse service to those not bearing green passports? Will the HMO itself eventually require a green passport?
Israel is the only country that has anything close to a so-called green passport. Next week, Israel plans to roll out a program of documentation on its citizens’ travel identification documents which shows that the traveler has had two rounds of the COVID-19 vaccine. Most other countries are requiring proof of a negative COVID-19 test for entry.
It has been reported that other restrictions on those not bearing a green passport will include being barred from sporting events, cultural events, conferences, and museums, and possibly hotels, restaurants, coffeehouses, shopping malls, gyms, and swimming pools.
The above graphic illustrates these restrictions, and is linked to an
online petition demanding that the government avoid such restrictions on those not interested in getting vaccinated.
Reports have included that the educational system and workplaces will not be included in the list of restrictions.
When will they change their minds about the educational system and workplaces? What else will they eventually claim they need to include,... for the benefit of the populace as a whole? Parks, beaches, and other recreational areas?
What about grocery stores?
But, don't worry. I am certain they will still allow those without green passports to purchase food and have it delivered. In other words, customers without green passports might not be able to choose their own produce, meat, fish, and several other items. They might have to rely on stores to check for holes in packages, check eggs for breakage, and may have to pay extra for delivery service. Instead of these customers bringing their own reusable bags, stores will also have to use additional and completely unnecessary plastic and paper bags, instead of customers bringing their own. The list of implications continues.
The bottomline is that choice could potentially be reduced, if not eliminated, for certain members of society not complying with societal expectations to get vaccinateAnd, by the way, what will the next societal expectation be?
Many, if not most, of you will respond that these sacrifices are a small price to pay for sake of society as a whole.
Is it? And and/or have periodic tests for a virus.
Many, if not most, of you will also admit that we already have established institutions for such individuals not complying with societal norms.
These already established institutions include prisons.
Oh, and I didn't even mention that the green passport will come in the form of a phone app. Israel's General Security Service (Shabba"k) no longer tracks corona issues via our phones. Instead, with the green passport app., we will not only consent to be tracked, but also to do much of the work to enable the tracking ourselves!
