אבל חפירה כדי להתקרב למסגד אל-אקצא בחשאי? הלוואי! ערבים הם אלה שחופרים, וכתוצאה מכך הורסים ממצאים ארכיאולוגיים ועדויות היסטוריות נוספות.

Ohio immigration attorney Shayan Parsai said in a June 5, 2026 Friday sermon at the California Usuli Institute that Jews use the Wailing Wall as a pretext to “sneak closer and closer to the Al-Aqsa Mosque” and are trying to remove it. He asserted that the Wall was never important in Jewish history, and that Jews pray and “wail” there because they are digging beneath it in an effort to enter the Al-Aqsa compound.

Parsai said: “These are not believing Jews. These are psychopaths” who have engaged in the “rituals of child sacrifice and child cannibalism” for centuries, both in the United States and “back home.” The Institute of Advanced Usuli Studies (“The Usuli Institute”) was founded by UCLA law professor Dr. Khaled Abou El Fadl. On April 25, 2024, Shayan Parsai, an American-Iranian resident of Columbus, Ohio, was arrested during an anti-Israel demonstration at Ohio State University.

As usual, I have mixed feelings about giving such individuals the time of day. But in the end the need for you to know about him, outweighs any free publicity he gets from me, regardless of how important or unimportant he happens to be today.

Shayan Parsai is an attractive, charismatic speaker. He will continue to gather followers, and influence. And he is not the only one of his ilk.

His speech may have been made at Ohio State University. But his institute is located at the University of California, Los Angeles [UCLA]. That shouldn't come as any surprise to anyone.

When I was a student there, one of the university's nicknames was JewCLA, among other, more unsavory monikers.

No more.

Parsai is right about one thing. The Western, or Wailing, Wall is not part of the Holy Temple. It is a retaining wall, that was begun by Herod.

But that the Wailing Wall has nothing to do with Jewish History? WRONG.

Jews should be encouraged to participate in the increasing control over the Temple Mount happening today, as long as it is done so, according to halakhah (Torah Law). This is including ritual immersion in a kosher mikveh*, the removal of all leather clothing, such as shoes and belts, and behaving in a strictly respectful manner, with complete understanding of the gravity of such an undertaking.

Note: Not all men's mikvehs are sufficient for the purpose of ascending the Temple Mount. Please make certain to check, and ascend with a proper guide.

This does NOT include encouraging, supporting, or looking the other way, while non-Jews ascend the Temple Mount to pray to their false gods.

Regarding the mosques on the Temple Mount, Rabbi Meir Kahane hy"d once said not to bother destroying them, before building the Third Temple. The Israeli government would only end up building bigger and bettere mosques for the Arabs. We assume he said that touch-in-cheek, 1. because he believes in halakhah, and 2. the Israeli government would never allow the building of the third Temple ever to begin.

But digging in order to creep closer to the Al-Aqsa Mosque? If only that were so! Arabs are the ones who are digging, and, as a result, destroying archaeological artifacts and other historical evidence.

The most important point to be made about Parsai's speech is to remind Jews... yet again, that it is time to leave.

It is even more important to remind my fellow Jews of the need to give their egos a rest. You must understand and accept that leaving the temporary refuge provided by a non-Jewish nation, and relocating to your only, true homeland, the Land of Israel, should NOT be considered a loss.

It is NOT giving up. It IS waking up.

הבוקר פרסמה מפלגת עוצמה יהודית בראשות השר איתמר בן גביר מודעה נגד ראש השב"כ רונן בר, שבה נכתב בין היתר כי מי שנכשל ב-7 באוקטובר "מוביל לאסון נוסף", כשהכוונה לעסקת החטופים. שר הביטחון יואב גלנט תקף בצהריים (ראשון) את בן גביר בישיבת הממשלה הסגורה ואמר: "הזדעזעתי הבוקר לפתוח את העיתון ולראות שאתה משתמש בכספי מדינה לתקוף את ראש השב"כ". שר החינוך יואב קיש הוסיף: "זו שערורייה, זה לא במקום. במיוחד לא בזמן מלחמה".

בן גביר השיב לטענות נגדו: "לראש השב"כ מותר לתקוף שר בממשלה?", והשרה גילה גמליאל העירה: "לא יכול להיות שתוקפים את ראש השב"כ בזמן מלחמה". מי שגיבה את השר בן גביר הוא שר התקשורת שלמה קרעי, מהליכוד: "לעשות מסיבה ולטפוח האחד לשני על השכם זה כן בסדר?", וגלנט עקץ: "אני רואה שכל חברי המפלגה של בן גביר תוקפים אותי".

בדיון התייחס תחילה גלנט ללחימה בצפון, ואמר כי תהיה "הסדרה או מלחמה, אבל בכל מקרה בסוף תהיה הסדרה". בן גביר תקף בתגובה את שר הביטחון: "הרעיון שאחרי מלחמה הם לא יוכלו להשיב - אבל אתה נעול על הסדרה, לא מבין שאתה פוגע בתושבי הצפון".

אז השיב גלנט בביקורת ואמר כי הוא הזדעזע מכך שהוא תוקף את ראש השב"כ מכספי מימון מפלגות. "למה לראש השב"כ מותר לתקוף שרים, לצאת נגד מדיניות הממשלה, לפרסם מכתבים נגד ראש הממשלה ולי אסור להטיח בו ביקורת?", השיב השר לביטחון לאומי. השר קרעי תקף כאמור גם כן: "להם מותר לממן מסיבה של 1,500 איש של חליוה?".

"הבעיה שאתה כבר לא חבר בליכוד ולא מבין שדין אחד לצפון ודין אחד לתל אביב", אמר בן גביר לגלנט, "אתה מבין מה קורה בקריית שמונה, אתה מתעלם מכך שחיזבאללה חוצה את הקווים האדומים, עובר את כל הגבולות ושר הביטחון שלנו מדבר על הסדרה"...

...נתניהו השיב: "אני מסכים שגם אם רוצים לומר ביקורת יש דרך לומר אותה. ואני מבקש לומר לשרים: 'איזה הוא גיבור? הכובש את ביקורתו'. זה יום שהיינו צריכים כולנו להיות מאוחדים כאיש אחד. האויב רואה בפילוג בינינו קורי עכביש מפוררים. אנחנו חייבים להראות לו שאנחנו מאוחדים כאיש אחד כאגרוף כנגד הרוע".

• נתניהו מחכה בשקט ובסבלנות ואז מחלק ושולט. ועוד דבר, אי אפשר להתווכח על ״...יש דרך לומר אותה״. הגיוני נכון? והוא מצליח להעליב גם את בן-גביר וגם בר וגם גלנט באותו רגע. בוא נגיד שעדיין יש לו את זה.

במודעה שפרסמה עוצמה יהודית בעיתונים הבוקר נכתב כי "רונן בר נכשל ב-7.10 ומוביל את ישראל לאסון נוסף. אומרים לא לעסקה מופקרת".

בעקבות המתקפות עליו, 169 בכירים לשעבר במערכת הביטחון, שחברים בפורום "חומת מגן", פנו היום במכתב לראש השב"כ ואמרו לו כי הם מבקשים לחזק את ידו מול המתקפות של בן גביר. "שירות הביטחון הכללי בראשותך מתמודד באחרונה עם אתגרים רבים ובראשם המלחמה בטרור", כתבו. "לצערנו לאחרונה נדרש השירות להתמודד גם עם הטרור היהודי. אנו מבקשים לחזק את ידיך ואת כל עובדי השב"כ מול המתקפות הפרועות והגסות של שרים שלצערנו מורשתם הכהניסטית נותנת את אותותיה בהחלטות ממשלת ישראל. במיוחד כעת כשהשב"כ, צה"ל, המוסד ושאר ארגוני הביטחון, עסוקים בלחימה יומיומית".

במכתבם התייחסו הבכירים, בהם רמטכ"ל, מפכ"לים, ראשי שב"כ ומוסד לשעבר למודעה שפורסמה. "היום אנשי השב"כ התעוררו למודעת הכפשה נגדם הממומנת מכספי ציבור. אנו קובעים כי הניסיונות להחליש את מערכת הביטחון ולהפחיד את ראשיה מלהביע עמדה מקצועית, יפוררו את ישראל ויפגעו בביטחונה". לדבריהם, "ריקון המשטרה מיכולת תפקוד לאור ערכים ממלכתיים והפגיעה האנושה בתפקודה הם תוצאה ישירה של מסע ההסתה וההפחדה של השר בן גביר הממונה עליה ומינויים בוטים 'מטעם' ומשמעותם סיכון מיידי של ביטחון המדינה ושל יכולתה לפעול כמדינת חוק דמוקרטית".

• כל פעם שח״כ או מישהו קישור לממשלה אומר את המילה ״דמוקרטית״ אנו חייבים לצחוק. אין להם מושג מה זאת דמוקרטיה. כל שמיניסט בארה״ב שלומד מידע פוליטי וכלכלה בכיתה י״ב יודע יותר על דמוקרטיה למעשה יותר מח״כים. או אולי הם כן יודעים על דמוקרטיה ופשוט מעוותים את העניין.

היחסים בין בן גביר לבר הפכו מתוחים מתמיד בשבוע האחרון, לאחר שבישיבת הקבינט המדיני-ביטחוני בשבוע שעבר נטש השר לביטחון לאומי את הדיון בזעם - במחאה על מכתב של ראש השב"כ רונן בר, שפורסם בחדשות קשת. במכתב, שבו הזהיר בר מפני "הטרור היהודי" שמסכן את ביטחון המדינה ואת עצם קיומה, הוא גם מתח ביקורת חריפה על בן גביר ועל הפרת הסטטוס-קוו בהר הבית.

• בר מדבר על הסכנה למדינה ועצם קיומה, ולא על הסכנה לעם ישראל או לארץ ישראל. הוא מדבר על פעילויות המתנחלים להגן על עצמם כ״טרור יהודי״. נראה שמבחינתו, כל דבר ש באמת קשור בתורה איום הקיומי על המדינה.
• הממשלה הכשילה את אותם מתנחלים, נאמנים לתורה על פני המדינה, פעם אחר פעם. מצמצמת חיילי צה"ל מיהודה ושומרון בתירוץ הנחוץ להם בעזה. למתנחלים הממלכתיים -- הילדים טובים שמתנגים יפה -- אין הרבה בעיות בביטחון. לא כדאי לאף אחד להתפלא.
• להיות ממותגים כ"טרוריסטים" על כך שהם מגנים על עצמם, כאשר הממשלה לא יכולה או לא רוצה להגן עליהם, ובזמן שרבים מהם משרתים בעזה ומגנים על המדינה כולה, הוא אחד הדברים הגרועים ביותר שממשלת ישראל עשתה אי פעם.
• אירועי הרצח של אלטלנה היו רעים, אבל המדינה עדיין לא הייתה מדינה.
• "טרוריסטים" האלה אפילו מוסרים את חייהם כדי להגן על האליטה חילונית ששונאת אותם.
(כבר היינו צריכים ללמוד את הלקח שלנו ממלחמת לבנון בפיקודו של אהוד ברק.)
• בינתיים הממשלה מקפידה להמנע מלפגוע ב"אזרחים [הלא כל כך] התמימים" בעזה שנמצאו מחזיקים בני ערובה ישראלים, מחשש לעונש מהקהילה הבינלאומית. לא לדאג. אנו נענש על ידיהם בכל מקרה.
• מי שמציע אסטרטגיה שונה מהגנת האזרחים בעשה, שיכלה להציל חיים של אינספור חיילי צה"ל, הוא מסתכן בהאשמתו בעבירת הסתה, ואז יורשע וייענש.

למרות שאני מוכן לקבל ביקורות השונות על השר לביטחון פנים איתמר בן גביר, כולל זו של יונתן פולארד, אולי בכל זאת הוא לא עושה עבודה כל כך גרועה כמו שחשבו. הוא בהחלט מעצבנים את האנשים הנכונים.

Ha'aretz: Ben-Gvir Runs Ad Against Shin Bet Chief for 'Failing on October 7' in Israeli Newspapers
The ad, which includes the logo of Ben-Gvir's Otzma Yehudit party and a photo of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, claims Bar 'failed on October 7 and is leading Israel to another disaster,' adding 'Say no to a reckless deal.' The Prime Minister's Office has yet to respond

Far-right party Otzma Yehudit published a paid ad in Israeli newspapers on Sunday morning against a hostage deal with Hamas and against Shin Bet security service chief Ronen Bar.

The ad, which includes Otzma Yehudit's logo and portrays Bar's picture, states: "Ronen Bar failed on October 7 and is leading Israel to another disaster. Say no to a reckless deal."

Bar issued a public warning three days ago, claiming that Jewish terror is posing an existential threat to Israel. In a letter sent to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, cabinet ministers and the attorney general, Bar warned that the leaders of the Jewish terrorists "want to cause the system to lose control, causing indescribable damage to Israel."

• When Bar says "Israel," I am certain that he means "the State of Israel," and not the "People of Israel" nor the "Land of Israel." To him, anything Torah-related, that is truly Torah-related, is probably his existential threat to the State. The YNET piece in Hebrew above, in which he says "State," instead of "Israel," confirms this.
• The government has failed those settlers, loyal to Torah over State, time and time again. Removing IDF resources from Judea and Samaria with the excuse they are needed in Gaza, while the "well-behaved," mamlakhti (diehard State loyalist) settlers do not appear to be having too many issues, should come as no surprise to anyone.
• Being branded as "terrorists" for defending themselves, when the government cannot or will not defend them, and while many of them are serving in Gaza defending the entire State, is one of the worst things the Israeli government has ever done.
• The Altalena incident murders were horrible, but the State was not a State yet.
• These "terrorists" have even been giving their lives to defend those secular elitists who hate them.
(We should have already learned our lesson from the Lebanon War under Ehud Barak.)
• Meanwhile the government has been careful not to harm the not so "innocent civilians" of Gaza (who were found holding Israeli hostages), fearing retribution from the international community, retribution which we are bound to receive anyway.
• Anyone who suggests a different strategy than this one, that could have saved countless lives of IDF soldiers, risks being accused of the crime of incitement, convicted and punished.

Bar added that police incompetence and "perhaps a sense of hidden support" for these acts are increasing considerably, reflected in "the significant expansion" of those taking part in these acts.

He noted that the perpetrators of Jewish terror have lost all fear of administrative detention "due to the conditions they get in prison and the funds they receive after their release from Knesset members as well as legitimacy and praise, alongside a delegitimization campaign against the defense officials." All these give a tailwind to the Jewish terrorism, Bar argued.

On Friday, Ben-Gvir issued a statement to the media attacking Bar and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant in wake of the arrest of four settlers suspected of committing "terrorist acts against Palestinians."

"The captains of the failure, Ronen Bar and [Defense Minister Yoav] Gallant, the father of the [pre-Oct. 7] misconception, continue to harass patriots," he wrote.

"The head of the Shin Bet, who sent 'an emergency letter' should have received a letter of dismissal by October 8. The ongoing failure is his and the defense minister's behavior should end, the sooner, the better," Ben-Gvir added.

The Prime Minister's Office has yet to respond to a Haaretz request for a comment on Otzma Yehudit's ad.

• Actually, in the YNET report in Hebrew found above, Netanyahu mentions how "there is a way to issue criticism," implying that he does not approve of the way Ben-Gvir went about criticizing Shabbak Chief Ronen Bar. Netanyahu waits quietly and patiently and then divides and conquers. We cannot even argue with his logic, can we? He also manages to put both Ben-Gvir, Bar, and Galant in their place, all in one shot. Let's just say that, like him or not, Netanyahu has still got it.
• The YNET report also mentions "threats" to democracy. Every time MK or someone linked to the government says the word "democratic" we have to laugh. They have no idea what democracy is. Every 12th-grader in the U. S. who is required to take "civics" knows more about democracy than any MK. Or perhaps MKs do know about democracy, but simply distort it for their own gain. The only threat to Israel's fleeting democracy is its own Supreme Court.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid said in response that "Only an unstable clown like Ben-Gvir is capable in the middle of the war, while residents in the north are in shelters and soldiers are getting killed, of paying for an ad attacking the head of the Shin Bet who is a patriot and a real fighter like Ben-Gvir never was and never will be."

Yesh Atid lawmaker Meirav Ben Ari took to X, slamming Ben-Gvir. "In the middle of a war, the national failure minister pays for an ad attacking the Shin Bet chief. There has never been, and never will be, such a pathetic and incompetent cabinet minister in Israeli history," she wrote.

Sure, Ha'aretz is biased... very biased. But in my experience, it pays to pay attention to the tripe it puts out once in a while. Sometimes, it can even backfire on itself. And that is well worth it to that, when it happens.

It also happens to be the first version in English, reporting on the same internal, government fighting as the YNET piece in Hebrew above.

Although I appreciate the various criticism of Internal Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, including that of Yonatan Pollard, maybe he is no doing such a bad job after all. He has definitely hit some nerves.

Over the years, I have addressed what it means to be a Jewish extremist. Simply put, it regarding The Almighty and His Holy Torah to be a higher authority that than the State.

The expression חוקי התורה קודמין לחוקי האדם "Torah Law takes precedence over manmade laws" seems to be perceived as an existential threat to the State of Israel. Many of the Jews in Giv'ath Ronen, and in communities like it, are known for this belief.

Another existential threat we see in these photos and video is the alliance between settler, or hilltop, youth and Haredi (untra-orthodox) youth, interested in performing mitzvoth (Torah commandments), even at the risk of arrest.

Prostrating on stone is forbidden to Jews, except for on the Temple Mount. Jews even avoid prostrating on floor tile, containing pieces of stone.

To those Jews in the U. S. and elsewhere who have always wondered why your hazzan (cantor) always prostrated himself on Yom Kippur, only after a towel was laid down for him, now you know.

I have always been againt posing for photos on the Temple Mount. These photos invariably include smiling faces, when the exact opposite is what is proper.

One should only ascend the Temple Mount, and be present there, in seriousness and reverance.

The photos and video above document this endeavor to defy the Israeli government's policy of putting non-Jews first, on the Holiest site in the world. If any joy is remotely apparent here, it is only due to the progress being made in the assertion of our rights to pray on the Temple Mount, long forbidden to us by the government of our supposedly Jewish State.

Muslims come and go, and do as they please on the Temple Mount, including damage archaeological sites in thei fultile attempt to rewrite history. They also play soccer on the Holiest site in the world.

Christian tourists are hardly scrutinized like are Jews are, even by the Wakf. They pray freely to their false deity-messiah. They are even invited to ascend The Temple Mount by misguided Jews, who have no understanding whatsoever of what the verse "A House of Prayer for all nations" (Isaiah 56:7) truly means. It does not mean praying however, and to whomever one chooses, on the Temple Mount.

Meanwhile, Jews are treated as third class citizens in their own Divinely Promised Homeland, Muslims being the first class, and non-Jewish tourists the second.

I praise these Jews for their civil disobedience. I pray that one day, and soon, Jews will begin work on rebuilding the Temple. Only those praying to the Holy One, Blessed Be He, and in the proper manner, will be allowed to ascend the Temple Mount itself. When this happens, it will be due in part to the perseverance of these self-sacrificing Jews.

May we merit to see the Third Temple standing, speedily in our days!

בעלה של קמלה האריס פרסם פוסט לצד תמונת הדלקת נרות חנוכה עם סיפור הגבורה של המכבים. לאחר שספג ביקורת כי "זה לא סיפור חנוכה האמיתי" הוא מחק את הפוסט.

מבוכה לבעלה של סגנית הנשיא קמלה האריס. דאג אמהוף, בעלה של סגנית הנשיא קמלה האריס, פרסם תמונה שלו מדליק את נרות חנוכה יחד עם רעייתו.

לצד התמונה הוא פרסם פוסט על סיפור החנוכה וגבורת המכבים, אלא שגולשים רבים פרסמו תגובות ובהן ביקורת כי "לא מדובר בסיפור האמיתי של חנוכה".

בעקבות הביקורת, מחק אמהוף, שהוא יהודי, את הפוסט. "הסיפור של חנוכה וסיפור העם היהודי תמיד היה סיפור של תקווה וחוסן. בסיפור חנוכה העם היהודי נאלץ להסתתר. אחד לא חשב שהם ישרדו או שמעט טיפות השמן יחזיקו מעמד. אבל הם שרדו והשמן המשיך לבעור", כתב אמהוף.

אלא שזמן קצר לאחר פרסום פוסט החלו גולשים רבים להעביר ביקורת על אמהוף בטענה כי הפרטים אינם מדויקים ולא מדובר בסיפור האמיתי של חג החנוכה. "הקרן למורשת ישראל" פרסמה ציוץ בו נכתב כי "בושה! אף אחד בארה"ב לא צריך להסתיר את זהותו. מצטערים, אבל זה לא מה שציפינו ממך. כל יהודי בארה"ב תמיד יחשוף את זהותו!".

גולשת בשם טליה כץ הוסיפה בציוץ "זה...לא הסיפור האמיתי של חג החנוכה". גולש בשם ג'ק פוסובייץ כתב כי "דאג אמהוף מחק את זה, כי זה אינו סיפורו של חנוכה, מרד המכבים המתואר בתנ"ך". ג'ייסון בדריק מקרן המורשת הוסיף גם הוא ביקורת. "אני באמת מקווה שהג'נטלמן השני השאיר את זה לאיזה מתמחה אומלל וחסר השכלה שלא יכול היה לטרוח אפילו להתייעץ עם ויקיפדיה. שמונה ימים של מסתור? איכס, בן אדם!", כתב בדריק.

אז איך דאגלאס אמהוף אמור לדעת משהו על יהדות ובמיוחד על חג חנוכה? התנועה הרפורמית והחילונים בארץ ועוד מעוותים את סיפור על חנוכה שנים.

המלחמה לקראת חנוכת בית המקדש מחדש היתה מלחמה נגד התיוונות ונגד התבוללות בכלל. המלחמה לא היתה למען חופש ביטוי הדת. אין דבר כזה בתורה פרט למנהגים אם בכלל. דווקא ההפך כתוב! וברור שלא אכפת לרפורמים לא מחנוכת הבית השני ולא מבניית הבית השלישי!

בליל הראשון של חג חנוכה, אמהוף היה אורח מכובד בטקס הדלקת נרות של חב״ד. שיטה של חב״ד היא לא לבייש אלא להזמין וללמד למטרה לקרב יהודים כאלה לתורה. אפשר להניח שהוא עסוק מאוד. למרות זה היתה לו הזדמנות לשאול או להקשיב לטיפ-טיפה של סיפור על החג על ידי הרב המסדר את הטקס.

יש לאמהוף ניצוץ בגודל מספיק בנשמה יהודית שלו כדי לקום ולגנות את דברי נשיאות האוניברסיטות המגעילים בשימוע שעברו בועדת האנטישמיות בקמפוסים בבית הנבחרים ארה״ב. לכן אני מוכן להגיד כל הכבוד לו למרות החשש למניעים נסתרים אפשריים.

ניצחון במלחמה הזו לא היה רק ניצחון פיזי, אלא גם היה ניצחון רוחני עם חנוכת בית המקדש מחדש. המכבים נלחמו נגד ההתיוונות ונגד ההתבוללות בכלל. הם לא נלחמו למען חופש לביטוי הדת. אין דבר כזה בתורה מלבד מגוון המנהגים בין שבטי ישראל ומגוון המנהגים המתבטא היום. למעשה, התורה מצווה לנו בדיוק על ההפך מחופש לביטוי הדת!

בליל ראשון של חנוכה אמהוף היה אורח מכובד בטקס הדלקת נרות של חב"ד. השיטה של חב"ד ליהודים כאלה היא גישה של הכלה וחינוך במטרה לקרב אותם לתורה.

אפשר להניח שדאגלס אמהוף עסוק מאוד. למרות זאת, היתה לו הזדמנות להקשיב לדברי הרב בטקס או לבקש עלון או קישור אינטרנט כדי לעיין בדרך לאירוע הבא שלו.

האשמת בושתו לא חברי התנועה הרפורמית ללא אינספור כתינוק שנישבה ואף לא על חברי התנועה הרפורמית שהם גויים גמורים. אלא האשמת הבושה של דאגלאס אמהוף היא על אלה שכן יודעים להבחין בין טוב לרע. האלה פועלים יומיומי כדי לחזק ולהגדיל את ההתיוונות בעם ישראל ולכך לפעול להשמדתו מבפנים.

Fox News: VP Harris' husband botches Hanukkah story on social media during celebration of major Jewish holiday

Douglas Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, got his Hanukkah story wrong in a Monday social media post and was scolded for the confusion before he deleted it.

In a post on X, formally known as Twitter, Emhoff posted an image of himself and Harris lighting a menorah. The post was accompanied by his version of the origins of the eight-day Jewish holiday.

"The story of Hanukkah and the story of the Jewish people has always been one of hope and resilience. In the Hanukkah story, the Jewish people were forced into hiding," he wrote. "No one thought they would survive or that the few drops of oil they had would last. But they survived and the oil kept burning."

"During those eight days in hiding, they recited their prayers and continued their traditions," Emhoff, who is Jewish and is working with the White House on combating antisemitism, continued in the now deleted post. "That’s why Hanukkah means dedication. It was during those dark nights that the Maccabees dedicated themselves to maintaining hope and faith in the oil, each other, and their Judaism."

He added that he thinks of the story during "dark times."

However, the Hanukkah story isn't about Jews hiding with only a little bit of oil. The holiday celebrates the re-dedication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem in the second century and celebrates the Jewish Maccabee's victory over their Greek-Syrian oppressors.

When the Jews sought to re-dedicate the temple, they found only a one-day supply of sacred oil that miraculously lasted for eight days.

Several social media users criticized Emhoff's post, with many saying his version didn't happen.

"How could this have happened?" wrote Noah Rothman, a senior writer for the National Review.

"I’m really hoping the Second Gentleman left this to some hapless and uneducated intern who couldn’t be bothered to even consult Wikipedia. Eight days of hiding? Yikes, man!" wrote Jason Bedrick, a research fellow for the Heritage Foundation’s Center for Education Policy.

Hanukkah began on Dec. 7 and runs through Friday.

Previously I have pointed out how cringey at least one of President Obama's Hanukkah celebrations was. Now it's Vice-President Kamala Harris's and her husband's turn.

But how is Douglas Amhoff supposed to know anything about Judaism and especially about Hanukkah? The Reform Movement, secular Jews in Israel, and others have been distorting the story of Hanukkah for years. And it is clear that those associated with the Reform Movement are not in the lease bit interested in the Holy Temple, not in its rededication over 2,000 years ago, and not its ultimate rebuilding!

The war culminated not only in a physical victory, but also in a spiritual victory with the rededication of the Temple. The war was against Hellenism and against assimilation in general. The war was not at all for the sake of the freedom of religious expression. There is no such thing in Torah, save for possibly that of the diversity of customs among the Tribes of Israel, which we can still see manifested today. In fact, the Torah proclaims quite the opposite of freedom of religious expression!

On the first night of Hanukkah, Amhoff was a guest at the Chabad's candle lighting ceremony. Chabad's approach to such Jews is not one of shaming, but rather one of inclusion and education, with the objective of bringing them closer to Torah observance.

We can assume that Douglas Emhoff is very busy. Despite this, he could have listened to a tidbit of a story about the holiday by the rabbi conducting the ceremony, or could have asked for a pamphlet or weblink to review on the way to his next event.

At the Chabad candle-lighting, Emhoff did demonstrate that the spark of his Yiddishe neshamah (Jewish soul) was sufficient to stand up and condemn the disgusting words of the university presidents at the recent Congressional hearing of the Committee on Anti-Semitism on Campuses. This why I have been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt regarding his motives.

He was just unprepared. But he should be admonished for being so unprepared when it came to historical events of his own people.

And although I feel sorry for Emhoff, I am afraid this is too important a faux pas, not to call him out on it.

But, wait a second. Some of you will call me out for calling Emhoff out.

It was taught [in a baraitha] before Rav Nahman bar Yitzhak: Anyone who humiliates another in public, it is as though he were spilling blood (Babylonian Talmud, Bava Metzia 58b)

...and he does not have any portion in the World To Come (Mishnah Avoth 3:14).

I go back and forth on this. On one hand, it is forbidden to say lashon hara (inappropriate speech) about a ketinoq shenishba (like a Jew held captive by non-Jews from childhood), and who does not know any better. On the other hand, it is forbidden to ignore the damage to all of Israel caused by him, as it is said "Do not stand idly by" (Lev. 19:16).

He should have done his homework. He has no excuse. He embarrassed himself, and in front so many that my words of public admonishment do not really add to his shame, assuming he experienced any.

No. The guilt falls solely on and not even on the ountless ketinoq shenishba and completely non-Jewish members of the Reform Movement. The guild is upon those who do know better, and operate on a day to day basis to keep Hellenism alive among the Jewish People, working to destroy it from within.

Non-Jews know them as Jewish globalists. Jews know them as a segment of the Erev Rav.

בט"ו באב נסעתי באוטובוס בחזרה מתל אביב ב-1:00 לפנות בוקר. מאחורי ישבו שישה תלמידי תיכון ודיברו.

על מה הם מדברו?

אחד הבחורים סיפר את סיפורם של קמצא ובר קמצא (תלמוד בבלי גיטין 55b), מדרש אגדה הקשור לחורבן הבית השני. החלטתי להסתכל. החלטתי להציץ כדי לראות איך הם נראים. לא ראיתי שום כיפות, רק לשנים היה שיער ארוך. לבחור שמספר להם את הסיפור היה שיער ארוך מאוד.

לא שמעתי שום אפיקורסות או כפירה כפי שאני מצפה מתלמידי מערכת החינוך הממלכתית החילונית. אבל לא היה ברור שהם חילונים. אולי הם לומדים בבית ספר דתי, אבל מסתובבים בלי כיפות חוץ לבית ספר או בית כנסת.

ארבעה בחורים ירדו בגבעתיים, עיר שאינה ידועה כעיר אוהבת התורה, או במזרח מרכז תל אביב. לא ברור. שני הבחורים האחרונים ירדו בפרבר מעורב דתי וחילוני.

קשה מאוד ליצור סיפור כזה.

הקללה שחלק בני ישראל מתים במיוחד בכל ט׳ באב גם הוסרה בט' באב. אבל עוד לא ידעו שהקללה הוסרה עד ט"ו באב כש ראו את הירח המלא הוכיח כי התשיעי חודש החמישי כבר עבר ללא מקרי המוות הצפויים מדי שנה.

למרות המאבק המתמשך של עיריית תל אביב נגד התורה, חלק תקוותי חזרה אליי השנה בט"ו באב. אני ממש הייתי צריך את זה לאחר העציבות ודכאון של ט׳ באב.

On Tu b'Av, I was on the bus, coming back from Tel Aviv at 1:00 AM. In back of me sat six high school boys talking.

What were they talking about?

One of the boys was recounting the story of of Qamtza and Bar Qamtza (TB Gittin 55b), a prominent midrash agadah (story), related to the destruction of HaBayith HaSheni (the Second Temple). I decided turn around,... casually. I did not see any kippoth (Jewish male head covering), only a couple of them had longish hair, one of them very long hair, the one recounting the story for them.

I heard nothing heretical, like one might expect from students of the secular Israeli state educational system. I supposed that they did not have to be secular. Maybe they went to a religious school, but did not wear kippoth while on vacation. Who knows?

They then went on to discuss how nothing belongs to us. The Holy One Blessed Be owns everything.

The secular-appearing man waving a rainbow pride fan sitting across the aisle from me chimed in. Although I cannot recall what he contributed to the discussion, I do remember that I happened to agree with him. The high school boys also seemed to accept what he had said.

Four of the boys got off the bus in either Givataim, a city not known for its embrace of Torah, or east central Tel-Aviv. It wasn't clear. The last two got off in a mixed modern orthodox, secular suburb.

You just cannot make this stuff up.

The curse of dying on the Tribes of Israel while wandering in the desert was imposed, carried out, and eventually removed on Tisha b'Av (9th of Av). However, the curse's removal was not recognized until Tu b'Av (15th), when the full moon proved that the ninth of the month had already passed without the annually expected, mass deaths.

In spite of the City of Tel-Aviv's ongoing battle against Torah, I had some of my hope restored the other night on Tu b'Av, definitely a well-needed boost after the sadness and depression of Tisha b'Av.

לא. כמו שאני מתנגד לגדר הביטחון המגוחכת שמחלקת את ארצנו, אני גם מתנגד לכל פשרה על הר הבית. כל ההר כולו שלנו, ולא רק חלקו.

לפני שנים רבות אני למדתי עניין חשוב מאוד על גדרות מתושב הישוב תקוע. מעולם לא הייתה לתקוע גדר מסביב לישוב. (עדיין אין לו גדר?) שנים גם לא היתה לאיתמר. (יש עוד ישובים כאלה?) ישובים אחרים, לדוגמה עפרה, היו מגודרות רק חלקית. למה? לפי מכר שלי בתקוע, כשאתה בונה גדר אתה לא רק אומר שהחלק שבתוך הגדר אצלך, אתה גם מעביר את המסר שהחלק שמחוץ לגדר הוא לא שלנו.

ב-תשכ״ז/1967 הראינו לערבים שאנחנו רצינים, שאם הם יתקיפו, אנחנו מוכנים לכבוש בחזרה יותר מארצנו. זאת לא דווקא המסר ממשלת ישראל התכוונה למסור. אבל זה היה המסר שקיבלו הערבים. ההיסטוריה שלנו די מוכרת למלומדים מוסלמים. אפילו הקוראן שלהם מזכיר חלק מעוות ממנו.

אחרי שכבשנו את הר בית, משה דיין החזיר את מפתחותו לווקף (ירדן).

ספר לי שוב איך יהודי יכול לעשות דבר כזה? הישנו מספיק ביום אז החזרה היתה אסטרטגיה? פיקוח נפש לא דוחה את מלחמת מצווה. אפילו מותר לנו להזכיר את העניין של מלחמת מצווה? אני לא משוכנע שאנו יודעים את כל הפרטים על מעזה דיין.

למרבה מזלנו, הערבים לעולם לא יקבלו את ההצעה של ח״כ עמית הלוי, ממש כמו שמחבל אש"ף יאסר ערפאת (ימחק שמו וזכרו!) לא קיבל את ההצעה של רה״מ לשעבר אהוד ברק. כנראה הערבים יצחקו על ההצעה הזו, במקום התגובה הרגילה שלהם של זעם. בנוסף, הלוי מציע להסיר את סמכותה של ממלכת ירדן על הר הבית על ידי פתיחת תהליך להסרת מעמדה המדיני בן עשרות השנים שהושג באמצעות הסכמים עם ישראל.

בהחלט, אני מסכים עם זה. אנחנו ממתינים לתיקון מעשה דיין יותר מדי זמן כבר.

הלוי כן מזכיר את מקור השייכות שלנו להר הבית:

חבר הכנסת הלוי, שבעצמו עולה מפעם לפעם להר ואף עלה ביום ירושלים האחרון אומר: "אנחנו לא מתפרצים לשום מקום. דוד המלך קנה את השטח מהיבוסים. על המתחם הזה משחקים היום כדורגל ועושים פיקניקים. צריך לשים לזה סוף. יש בדרום ההר מסגדים ואנחנו מכבדים את זה. תתפללו שם ותנו לנו את החלק שלנו".

ברור שיותר מאלף שנים לפני זה הקב״ה כבר נשבע לעם ישראל את כל ארץ ישראל כולה. פשוט היה עלינו לקחת (לקנות, לרכוש, לכבוש) את זה.

היבוסים היו הכנענים שישבו בירושלים ובאזור. יאסר ערפאת (ימחק שמו וזכרו!) טען שהוא צאצא שלהם. הוא לא הצליח. הדבר המשותף היחיד עם הכנענים שהיה לו הוא הדין, בעקבות תביעתו לארץ הקודש.

הקב״ה נכבר שבע את ארץ ישראל לעם ישראל יותר מאלף שנים לפני שדוד המלך קנה את הר הבית. זה פשוט היה עלינו לקנות, לרכוש, לכבוש את הארץ.

ועכשיו עלינו להמשיך לקנות, לרכוש, לכבוש אותה, ולא למסור אותה, כמו עזה, חלקים מיהודה (כולל בנימין) והשומרון (מזרח אפרים ומערב מנשה), ואפילו דרום לבנון (צפון אשר ונפתלי).

זה לא סתם שהצרה זו קורה במשך פרשת השבוע שלח לך (במדבר יג,א - טו,מא) שבה נזכר חוסר אמונה של המרגלים לגבי כיבוש הארץ.

Jewish Press: Likud MK Amit Halevi Proposes Plan to Divide Jerusalem’s Temple Mount

Likud Knesset member Amit Halevi is promoting a plan to divide the Temple Mount between Jews and Muslims.

Under the plan, Muslims will receive the southern Al Aqsa Mosque and its annexes and the Jews will receive the central and northern area, including the Dome of the Rock, the place on which it is believed that the Holy of Holies stood in the Temple. (cont.)

No. Just like the ridiculous security fence divides up our land, I am against ANY compromise on the Temple Mount. It's ours. All of it.

Many years ago, I learned a very important lesson about fences from a resident of the town of Teqo'a. At the time, Teqo'a never had a fence around the town. (Today, there is a partial fence.) For years, Itamar never did either. (Any others?) Still other towns, such as Ofra were only partially fenced in. Why? According to my acquaintance in Teqo'a, when you build a fence, you are not just saying that the part inside of the fence in yours, you are also sending the message that the part outside of the fence is not ours.

In 1967, we showed the Arabs that we mean business, that if they attack, we take more of our Land back. Granted, that was not necessarily the message intended by the Israeli Governor. But it was the message received by the Arabs. Muslim scholars are more than familiar with our history. Their Quran even contains a distorted portion of it.

Moshe Dayan gave back the keys to the Temple Mount to the Wakf (Jordan).

Tell me again how any Jew would do such a thing. Enough progress had been made that day? It was a strategy? I'm not buying it.

Fortunately for us, the Arabs will never go for it, just like PLO terrorist Yasser Arafat (may his name and memory be blotted out!) refused to accept former Prime Minister Ehud Barak's generous proposal.  In fact, they might even laugh at the plan, instead of the usual outrage. And speaking of outrage, we should take a lesson from them.

In addition, Halevi suggests removing the Kingdom of Jordan’s authority over the Temple Mount by launching a process to remove its decades-long political status achieved through agreements with Israel.

Well, I certainly agree with this. The reparation of Dayan's folly is long overdue.

MK HaLevy also mentions the origin of our ownership of the Temple Mount.

“No one needs to examine the stones to know that it is ours … King David bought the land from the Jebusites. Soccer is played on this compound and picnics are held. We need to put an end to this. There are mosques in the south of the mountain and we respect that. Pray there and give us our share.”

The Jebusites were the Canaanites residing in and around Jerusalem. If you recall, Yasser Arafat (may his name and memory be blotted out!) once attempted to claim that he was a descendant of them. Of course, that did not hold any water. The only thing he had in common with the Canaanites was his din (status), following his claim to the Holy Land.

The Land of Israel had already been promised to the People of Israel, long before King David purchased it. It simply was upon us to acquire it.

Now it is upon us to continue to acquire it, and not give it away, like Gaza, parts of Judea (including Binyamin), Samaria (eastern Efraim and West Menasheh), and even Southern Lebanon (northern Asher and Naftali).

It is no coincidence that this week's Torah portion is Shelah (Num. 13:1 - 15:41), which includes the spies' lack of faith over being able to conquer the Land.

אני בכלל לא אוהב לצטט קטעים ממקורות נוצריים. אבל אם הם היחידים המפרסמים משהו, אז מה לעשות?

ח״כ מתן כהנא, מארח הרשמי שליח הכנסת של ארוחת בוקר התפילת ירושלים 2023, נאם במושב יום רביעי אחר הצהריים בכנסת בירושלים.

כהנא, חבר מפלגת אחדות הלאומית של בני גנץ, כיהן גם כראש המשרד לשירותי דת בממשלה הקודמת.

המנהיג הבכיר קיבל בברכה לישראל את צירי ארוחת בוקר התפילת ירושלים והודה להם על תמיכתם. הוא דיבר על "ידידותם האמיתית". "חברים שלי, אני שמח ומאושר להיות כאן עם כולכם היום", אמר כהנא. "כי אתם אוהבי ישראל בכל לבבכם. אנו עומדים בפני תקופה מאתגרת והידידות המתמדת והאמיתית במיוחד

כהנא התייחס לאיומים האיראניים על היציבות האזורית וציין כי איראן "קוראת רשמית להשמדת מדינת ישראל, שאומרה בבירור שהיא רוצה להשמיד אותנו מעל פני האדמה".

בסיום נאומו, כהנא הודה שוב לנציגים שהגיעו והתנצל במפורש על ההפרעה ה"בלתי מתקבלת על הדעת" באירוע התפילה של חג השבועות 2023 ביום ראשון. מוקדם יותר השבוע התבטאה גם אחת מסגני ראש העיר ירושלים, פלר חסן-נחום. ההפגנות, ואמרו כי האוונגליסטים הם "הלובי הפרו-ישראלי העיקרי כיום".

"לפני כמה ימים, כמה קיצונים, מפגינים צעקו לעבר קבוצת מבקרים במקומות הקדושים", אמר כהנא. "המקומות הקדושים פתוחים לכולם וצריכים להישאר כך."

הוא המשיך, "אני רוצה להדגיש שלצעקות על האנשים שהם התומכים הגדולים של ישראל זה לא יעיל. בהזדמנות זו אני רוצה להתנצל בשם הכנסת על התנהגות זו".

לסיום אמר כהנא לנוכחים: "חברים שלי, כל מה שנותר לי להגיד לכם זה תודה. תודה לך על מה שאתה עושה עבורנו. אתם חברים אמיתיים. תודה."

*התרגום די טוב. בגירסה המקורית באנגלית הם טועים, למשל בשם מפלגתו (חוסן לישראל) ובתפקידו (שר). וגם האירוע המדובר לא התקיים בשבועות אלא בחג השקר הנוצרי ״פנטקוסט״.

נאומו של ח״כ מתן כהנא לאוונגליסטים, וליהודים מעריציהם, מלא ברגשות של הגלות המערבי (אדום), ואף לא טיפה אחת של טיעון הלכתי מדוע טעו המפגינים הדתיים.

יש להניח שהוא דיבר עם אורחים שרובם גויים (כגון הנוצרי הזה שמקלל את המפגיהים), אז אי אפשר לצפות נאום יותר מבוסס בהלכה ממנו. הקטע החסר מהכתבה למעלה, פשוט על ״הסברה״. לא מפספסים כלום.

ברגע שאני קראתי ״האיומים האיראניים״ שאולי הוא מרמז לתיאוקרטיה (שלטון ממשלה דתית). לעתים קרובות מדי, היהודים ואפילו היהודים הדתיים המעדיפים לעשות מה שהם רוצים לעשות, ומשכנעים את עצמם להאמין שזה גם מה שהקדוש ברוך הוא רוצה מהם. היהודים כאלה מנסים להשוות את כל הביטויים האפשריים של התיאוקרטיה בישראל למשטר האיראני. זו השיטה שלהם לביזוי התורה. השוואה כזו מגוחכת.

אני ממליץ להם לפנות לארגוני קירוב, כמו חב"ד, אש התורה, או הידברות ואז הם יכולים לשאול איך להסתדר במדינה דתית בקלות יותר מהם חשבו.

וגם יהודים כאלה אוהבים לדבר על "מדינה יהודית ודמוקרטית", שמקורה של הדמוקרטיה הוא ההלניסטי (יוונית), דבר שנלחמנו בו וניצחנו בו לפני כאלפיים שנים, ואחת התוצאות מכך היא חג חנוכה. למרות כל החכמה שאפשר ללמוד מהגוים, ברור מאוד שהדמוקרטיה עצמה אינה מוזכרת בשום מקום בתורה. חשוב להדגיש לעתים קרובות הדמוקרטיה סותרת את המשמעות של חיים ממש יהודיים. זאת אומרת לעתים קרובות הדמוקרטיה סותרת את התורה.

מה חושבים הדתיים הממלכתיים האלה איך תהיה מדינת ארץ ישראל בימות המשיח? פלורליזם דתי? נשים בתפקידים כ"רבות" ו"דיינות"?

בכלל לא אלא תהיה לנו... תיאוקרטיה, עם מלך (ולא מלכה), סנהדרין וכהונה בבית מקדש.

אז למה ח״כ מתן כהנא התנצל? אישית אני יכול לחשוב על כמה אפשרויות בלבד:

1. אין לו שום מושג על דת הנצרות, ולא על הטקס שהתקיים בשבוע הקודם ליד הר הבית. נראה שהוא גם לא יודע את מטרות הטקס הזה. אחת מהן לציין את החג שבו טוענים המונית של יהודים התנצרו לפני אלפיים שנה. השניה היא התחלת ניהול המסע בן 10 השנים לנצר את העולם לעבוד לאלוהות-השקר שלהם, החל בעם ישראל. ארוחת הבוקר של התפילה בירושלים הייתה מלאה במיסיונרים, כולל כאלה שמטרתם הסופית היא להתגורר בתוך מולדתנו, ולהביא כמה שיותר נוצרים לחיות כאן.
2. הוא מקבל את דעתם של רבנים ש גם אין להם שום מושג בדת הנצרות או שהם מתעלמים מעבודה זרה ופעולות מסיונריות שלהם.
3. הוא מאמין ברעיון המגחך שהיהדות (התורה) מאפשרת למעשה חופש ביטוי דתי. האמת היא התורה מתנגדת בצורה נחרצת לחופש הביטוי הדתי. יש גבול לחופש הביטוי הדתי והוא נקרא הלכה. לכתחילה, במצב של יד ישראל תקיפה, רק שני ביטויים דתיים מקובלים בארץ ישראל והם 1. יהודים שומרי תורה ומצוות, ו- 2. גרי תושב שומרים על שבע מצוות בני נח (בר' ט'). הכוללים את קבלת התורה כאמת, וגם דחיית כל אמונת ומנהגי דת כוזבים.
4. הוא פשוט תלוי במשותף באהבה ובקבלה מהגוים, כהרבה יהודים של היום, למרות שיש לנו שליטה [בעיקרון] על המולדת שלנו.

לכן, איזו מהסיבות המפורטות לעיל עמדה מאחורי ההתנצלות של מתן כהנא בפני הנוצרים על המחאה על ידי יהודים שומרי תורה ומצצוות על טקס עבודה זרה ליד הר הבית ועל פתיחת מסע של פעילות מיסיונרית בכל רחבת העולם ובהתלחה לרדוף את עם ישראל?

אין לי שום מושג.

Former Israeli Religious Affairs minister apologizes to Evangelicals for attacks near Western Wall
Kahana thanks delegates for their 'genuine friendship' during address at the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast

Knesset Member Matan Kahana, the official Israeli Knesset host of the 2023 Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast, addressed the Wednesday afternoon session at the Knesset in Jerusalem.

Kahana, a member of Benny Gantz’s National Unity party, also served as head of Israel’s Religious Services Ministry in the previous government.

The senior leader welcomed JPB delegates to Israel and thanked them for their support. He spoke of their “genuine friendship.”

“My friends, I am happy and delighted to be here with all of you today,” Kahana said. “For you are those who love Israel with all your heart. We are facing a challenging period and the constant and especially genuine friendship that you have for the Jewish people is so important and significant.”

Kahana commented on the Iranian threats to regional stability, noting that Iran “officially calls for the destruction of the State of Israel, who says clearly that they want to wipe us off the face of the earth.”

At the close of his speech, Kahana again thanked the delegates for coming and specifically apologized for the "unacceptable' disturbance at the Pentecost 2023 Prayer Event on Sunday. Earlier this week, one of Jerusalem's deputy mayors, Fleur Hassan-Nahoum also spoke out against the protests, saying that Evangelicals are “the main pro-Israel lobby today.”

“A few days ago, some extremists, demonstrators shouted at a group of visitors to the holy places,” Kahana said. “The holy places are open to all and should remain like this.”

He continued, “I would like to emphasize that shouting at the people who are the great supporters of Israel is counterproductive. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for this behavior on behalf of the Knesset.”

In closing, Kahana told the attendees, “My friends, all I have left to say to you is thank you. Thank you for what you do for us. You are true friends. Thank you.”

Esser Agaroth (2¢):

Matan Kahana's speech to Evangelicals, and to the Jews who love them, was filled with Western galut (exilic) feelings, and not a single drop of a Torah-based argument as to why the demonstrators were wrong.

He was presumably speaking to a significant number of goyim (non-Jews like this one), so what else could we expect. The piece clipped from the above, to save space, was just a lot of co-dependent Hasbarah.

I cannot help but wonder if the Iranian threats he mentions allude to theocracy. Too often, those Jews who prefer to do what they want, and fool themselves into believing that it is also what HaShem wants from them, like to compare any and all, potential manifestations of theocracy in Israel to the Iranian regime. This is their go-to demonization of Torah.

I suggest they contact any outreach organization, such as Chabad or Aish HaTorah, to confirm that their fears are completely unfounded.

Such Jews also like to talk about a "Jewish democratic state," the origin of democracy being Hellenism, something which we battled against, and won, 2,000 years ago, resulting in the holiday of Hanukkah. In spite of whatever hakhmah (wisdom) we can learn from the goyim, I assure you that democracy itself is not mentioned anywhere in the Torah, and is often contradictory to what it means to be authentically Jewish, in other words, contradictory to the Torah.

What do these Religious Zionists mamlakhtim (diehard state loyalists) think what Israel will be like when Mashi'ah (messiah) finally arrives? Denominational pluralism? Female "rabbis" and "dayanoth" (rabbinical court judges)?

Guess again. We will have a (wait for it)... theocracy, with a king (and not a queen), a Sanhedrin, and a Kehunah (Temple Priesthood).

So, why did MK Matan Kahana apologize for the protest? There are only a few reasons that I can think of:

1. He has absolutely no clue about Christianity, including but not limited to the communion ritual which recently took place next to the Temple Mount. He also seems to be ignorant of the purposes of this ceremony. One was to commemorate the Christian belief in a mass conversion of Jews two thousand years ago. The other was as a kick-off of their 10-year campaign to convert the world to the worship of their false deity-messiah, beginning with the Jews. The Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast was filled with missionaries, including those whose ultimate goal is to reside within our homeland, and bring as many more Christians to live here as possible.
2. He has fallen under the spell of rabbis who either have absolutely no clue about Christianity OR are in their pockets, happy to look the other way.
3. Believes in the idiotic notion that Judaism actually allows for freedom of religious expression. The Torah is quite emphatically in opposition to freedom of religious expression. There is a limit to freedom of religious expression and it is called halachah (Torah Law). In an ideal situation, only two acceptable religious manifestations within the borders of the Land of Israel are 1. Jews keeping the Torah and mitzwoth (commandments), and 2. Gerei toshav (resident aliens) keeping the Noahide Laws (Gen. 9), which include the acceptance of Torah as truth, as well as the rejection of any false religious practices.
4. He is simply co-dependent on the love and validation from the goyim (non-Jews), like so many Jews these days, in spite of having [theoretical] control over our own homeland.

Which of the reasons listed above was behind Matan Kahana's apology to Christians over Torah-observant Jews protesting a ceremony of avodah zarah next to the Holiest place in the world to Jews, and the opening of a campaign of world-wide missionary activities, focusing first on Jews?

I have absolutely no idea.

Most of you will vilify these verses, or simply ignore them. And more than a few of you identify as Torah-observant, yet like any Westerner you will allow your feelings to guide you, instead or the Torah, perhaps even believing that they are one and the same.

Still, as few of you, might even say that this only applied to the time of Joshua Bin-Nun, and will only apply again when Mashi'ah finally arrives. The fact that the Rambam, the Tur, the Beth Yosef, and the Bach all disagree does not seem to interest you.
