Southern Israel faces major rocket offensive: At least one man was killed and four others sustained serious wounds, including a woman in grave condition, after rockets fired from the Gaza Strip hit the southern town of Beersheba Saturday evening.
Local residents said the Iron Dome anti-missile system intercepted some of the rockets fired at the city in Saturday's salvo. The Popular Resistance Committees claimed responsibility for the deadly barrage.

Security forces are destroying "Ramat Migron" in the Binyamin Area. More than 20 youth were arrested on Shabbath on suspicion of attacking a Palestinian boy from Ramallah.
What was a "Palestinian" boy doing in the area anyway? It is pretty far from Ramallah, unless you have a car.
Nonetheless, we cannot just let this news item fly under the radar.

Pretty much sums up the expulsion of Jews from Azza, doesn't it?
Finally, a documentary has been produced, exposing the collaborators who were behind the expulsion of Jews from Azza, and the mesirah (handing over) of their property over to goyim (non-Jews), even more so, to bitter enemies of the Jewish People.
The documentary is entitled "Meraglim," after the spies who delayed B'nei Yisrael's settlement of Eretz Yisrael by 38 years, through their lack of faith in HaQadosh Barukh Hu (The Holy One, Blessed Be He), and their lashon hara (See Numbers 13-14).

Part 1
This first part of the series introduces us to the lying liars of the Yehudah, Shomron, and Azza[YeSh"A] Council, and to the activists who regret having listened to them.
I know Rabbi Moshe Cohen of Beth El personally. We taught junior high school together years ago. He's an amazing Jew, and an amazing teacher, now teaching at the Beth El Yeshivah. He's a Jew with his priorities straight. That's for sure.
When meetings of the YeSh"A Council are shown, they include some rabbis, who are not actually members of the council. They are members of the YeSh"A Rabbinical Council, a completely different entity, often disagreeing publicly with the YeSh"A Council.
The lying YeSh"A Council members were honest about one thing. They were concerned about their public image.
Part 2
This part begins with the real manner in which YeSh"A Council members regard rabbinical ruling it does not like. It ignores them, or worse. (We have seen this approach before, among the members of the National Religious/Jewish Home Party.)
This part also brings forth the truth about then Rosh Yeshivath Merkaz HaRavRabbi Avraham Shapiraztz"l's opinion regarding which takes precedence, Torah or Israeli law, when there is a conflict between the two. Mamlakhtim (religious, yet undying state loyalists) have tried to distort the presentation of Rabbi Shapira's views.
The YeSh"A Council found "other rabbis," who agreed with them, Hayim Druckman and Shlomo Aviner, emphasized their presence, and then yelled to "listen to the rabbis!" Pure hypocrisy!
The YeSh"A Council's imprisonment of activists at K'far Maimon is the focus of this part, as well as its collaboration with police.
Take note of then MK Effie Eitam hugging the police commander. One year later, he would incur a head injury at the Amona Pogram. Let's hope he has learned his lesson.
Part 3 Rabbi Avraham Shapiraztz"l did NOT care about public image (ie. PR). The YeSh"A Council distorted the presentation of the plan to enter Southern Azza (Gush Qatif) through its "military expert." This convinced Rabbi Shapira to withdraw his support for the plan.
In actuality, the YeSh"A Council's military expert Ami Shaqed provided activists with a different story, than that which was presented to Rabbi Shapira.
The YeSh"A Council continued to sabotage the protest efforts through the sneaky activities of Pinhas Wallerstein (Ofra, Binyamin Counil Head) and newly appointed member Rafi Ben-Bassad (Neweh Tzuf), including the dispersion of activists and more staged arrests.
Rabbinical collaboration is also exposed in this part.
Some IDF rabbis actually claimed it was permissible according to the Torah to expel all of these Jews from their homes, and to hand over the land to our most deadly enemies.
Shlomo Aviner is shown convincing the residents of Gan-Or to allow the IDF soldiers into their town. Until he arrived, Gan-Or residents had been preventing their entry successfully.
Rabbi Mordechai Elon uses his rhetorical skills to convince Netzer-Hazani residents to leave quietly.
Meanwhile, everyone seems to be ignoring the greatest poseq and dayan of them all, Rabbi Shapira.*
The end of this part exposes the collaboration of YeSh"A Council Head Bentzi Lieberman with police, putting the nail in the coffin of Newe Deqalim, the largest Jewish town in Azza.
Part 4
This part begins with more collaboration on the part of Bentzi Lieberman, followed by the staged removal of Tzviki Bar-Hai and Ze'ev "Zambish" Hever, who then directs the violent expulsion from the Neweh Deqalim synagogue. (You've got to see this! It's so blatant and ridiculous that they thought they could hide it.)
The last two minutes provides a conclusion of not only this particular blot on Jewish history, but of the deeper issues facing the Jewish People:

(IsraelNN.com) Welfare Minister Yitzchak Herzog announced Monday that his ministry would create special institutions for young Israelis living in Judea and Samaria who are not enrolled in any formal program or institutional framework (Translation: "State control," indoctrination into being a non-questioning, non-Torah loyalist, but rather a state loyalist). The initiative is aimed at the “hilltop youth”--teenagers who spend their days building new Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and fighting border police and other forces who attempt to evict them.
Herzog defined the youths as “a danger to security.” Not only do they endanger security, he said, they are “a danger to education and to society that we must deal with.” (danger to whose education? to whose society? --not mine) "Hilltop youths” should be treated like criminal youth, Herzog said. Such treatment would include providing the youth with therapeutic settings and rehabilitation (rehabilitation from what? farming? Torah study? as Joe Settler points out, most of the youth in Peace House spent their free time learning in the Beth Midrash) as well as increasing law enforcement on their activities.
David HaIvri's response "A Knee-Jerk Response:" No need to automatically reject Herzog's idea can found here, also on Arutz 7. HaIvri believes that we do have a problem in Yo"Sh (Judea and Samaria) , and need to address, just not necessarily the same problem Herzog thinks we have.

David, just keep the government far, far away from any such endeavors. You will remember that it wasn't too long that three of our teen-aged neighbors were unprecedentedly sitting jail until the end of their court proceedings.
Whey were told by a judge that they needed "re-education," and that it would be "dangerous" to allow them to be released, as they might "talk to other youth." The judge offered to release them to a religious qibbutz. Fortunately, due to the education they had received, they refused, citing that the levels of tzni'uth (modesty) and kashruth did not meet their standards.
The judge was dumbfounded. Eventually, they were released into the custody of the grandparents of one. Apparently, Petah Tiqwah was an acceptable environment, and K'far Tapu'ah was not.
Social workers trained in Israeli (ie. predominantly socially "progressive," anti-Torah) universities must be screened thoroughly, and if possible, be residents of Yo"Sh themselves.
I am not disagreeing with you, just emphasizing a point.
Our kids have the opportunity to be "freer" of the indoctrination into "state-loyalist" (as opposed to God and Torah-loyalist) society by the government controlled public, "religious" education in this country, but not entirely free of it.
(IsraelNN.com) Jews who are not residents of Samaria are not allowed to enter the area as of Sunday, according to an order issued by the new Shomeron Brigade Commander, Col. Itzik Bar.
Land of Israel pioneers said the new order was "an arbitrary and illegal order" and called it "apartheid against Jews."
The order reads: "No person shall pass the roadblock unless he has permission from me or from someone whom I have authorized. This is required for security purposes and for maintaining public order." The Jinsafoot roadblock was closed off Sunday morning and the Tapuach roadblock was closed in the same way in the afternoon.
At first, I thought it was a response to the protests in and around the Shilo Area communities. Needless to say I made sure I had my te'udath zehuth (identification card) on me before leaving my house today.
On the way to work in Jerusalem, I asked a source of mine, an officer in the IDF posted in the area, about the above report. He didn't make much of it, and thought that it may have something to do with the hike this week from Homesh in the Northern Shomron to Rekhes Ma'on in Yehudah. I asked him if he thought that was because those in authority suspected that hikers might "try something." He just chuckled and said he didn't know.
I saw no indication of any restriction of movement today nor tonight, not between Jerusalem and Tapu'ah Junction anyway. Further north and west, I have no clue.
I have not seen any news on this in English or Hebrew, nor have the sponsors of the hike reported any news on this issue. This morning's news flash on the Eretz Yisrael Continuing Proudly site suggests that today's stage of the hike as planned, save for one suggestion that the IDF was roaming around areas they are not usually found, at least not during the day.
Last Sunday night after a shi'ur in Jerusalem, I was offered a tremp (ride) home on the back of my neighbor Ariel's motor scooter (model pictured).
Someone else who was at the shi'ur wanted to know what the big deal was. I explained to him that I lived near Shchem, and that the route sometimes entails the dodging of rocks, bullets, and Molotov Coctails. He understood. Ariel reassured me that Arabs tended not to throw rocks at night. How reassuring.
Batya will tell you how she has walked from Shilo to Jerusalem. Shilo residents hold an annual march in memory of Avihu Keinan HY"D who was killed in action. But this march is held during the day, and I believe with some kind of IDF protection,...along with several Shilonim who would not hesitate to after any Arab who tried anything.
I myself have walked from Tapu'ah to Rehlim several times, and from Eli to Shilo. (Click map to enlarge.)
But, I digress....
I don't know what I was thinking, but I said yes to Ariel's offer. I figured that I could always change my mind along the way, and continue the journey by catching regular tremps. My main concern turned out to be the cross winds, which I am still not sure were there, or just my perception of them. Not only were they cold, but I was also worried that we would be blown over. I was also concerned about some Arab running us off the road, especially in Vadi Kharamiah, the valley between Ofra and Shilo where cell phone reception is minimal at best, preventing any calls for assistance.
Needless to say, I survived the trip. (Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to be writing this right now.) I'm glad I made the trip, for the experience. Although I can't promise I'd do it again. I don't know how many Jews can say that they have ridden through the Lands of Binyamin and Efraim on a motor scooter.
It was an opportunity to face my some of irrational fears, and assert a Jewish presence in these parts of the Land of Israel,...in my own personal way.

* The YeSh"A Council is selling out the very Judea and Samaria it created itself to protect. One of its members attacked teenage boys last week for exercising their free-speech, then LIE about it to rabbis like Rabbi Dov Lior so that they can sneakily put his signature on one of their posters condemning the same boys that were attacked.
* The burning of New Testaments distributed by missionaries caused an uproar amongst leftists, comparing it to activities in 1930's Germany. A platform was given to missionary lawyers to further their message of encouraging Jews to practice avodah zarah. This goes fight along with their special, five-year evil program in Israel.
The troubles we are experiencing can be so overwhelming at times. I often feel like "I am not doing enough." Once in a while I have to focus on the positive experiences in our troubled Land, even if it's just a [not so] simple ride on a motor bike.
My sources tell me that there was a major poster war during the recent nights of posting announcements for Yom HaAtzma'uth (Israeli Independence Day) events in Yehudah and Shomron (Judea & Samaria).
The war was between publicizing a "Land Of Israel Supporters event in the destroyed town of Homesh in the heart of the Shomron near Jenin, and a YeSh"A Council-sponsored event in the mamlachti town Migron, just north of Jerusalem.
Layers upon layers of posters over posters, from the back and forth coverage, could be found throughout the Shomron. In between were the Jonathan Pollard posters struggling for space. My sources tell me that if there was a choice between covering up a YeSh"A/Migron poster with a Pollard poster versus covering up a Homesh poster, it was a no-brainer.
The YeSh"A/Migron poster got it.
Important rabbis, unafraid to express Torah truth, even if means criticizing the Israeli Goverment, could be found in Homesh. They included Rabbi Yisrael Ariel (Sanhedrin, Temple Institute), Rabbi Dov Lior (Qiriyath Arba-Hevron), Rabbi Gadi Ben-Zimra (Ma'aleh Levona), Rabbi "Dudi" Dudekevitch (Yitzhar).

This year's Yom HaAtzma'uth preparations did not go unmarred by the typical violence and suppression of free-speech expected in Yehudah and Shomron.
Yet, this time around it was particularly disgusting, as it was perpetrated [openly] by the YeSh"A powers that be, and their thugs....
Pinchas Wallerstein of the Yesh"a [Judea, Samaria, & Gaza] Council leaders violently attacked three minors who were putting up posters near Ofra. The posters attacked the YeSh"A Council and its agreement regarding [the removal of some of] its strongholds.
Vallerstein ripped up the posters, and with the aid of three security personnel from Ofra, struck the minors, broke into their vehicle, and stole about 2,000 posters.
The minors demanded that he identify himself, but he refused, and was identified by the residents of Ofra who were also there.
They are currently checking into the filing of a complaint with the police regarding the attack and the theft.

In Mevo Horon, the YeSh"A Council, together with the town administration uprooted the stronghold adjacent to the town.
In Beth Yatir, the YeSh"A Council, together with the town administration destroyed caravans (mobile home/trailers) in its stronghold to the south.
The YeSh"A Council calls us out to march in Migron on Independence Day, and at the same time it says, "these days in which they talk about destruction and evacuation...." when they themselves are participants in activities destroying Jewish towns!!!
Including attempts to convince the people of Migron to move to the town of Adam (Geva Binyamin).
The call to come to march in Migron is an empty display of the struggle which in fact puts the pressure on to help Migron willingly.
The second poster distributed, and which can also be found at the link above, basically states that the Independence Day Parade by Migron (the mamalachti town closer to Jerusalem than Ofra) is a joke, and is really its funeral procession.
Defense Minister Ehud Baraq has said previously that he plans to move the community this summer.

(IsraelNN.com) Supporters and opponents of the Yesha Council clashed Thursday during a rally in the community of Migron. Police arrested two activists who were involved in the fighting.
Thousands of Israelis streamed to Migron on Thursday to show support for the town, which the government has threatened to destroy this summer. Members of the Loyalists to the Land of Israel, lead by Daniella Weiss, began distributing pamphlets accusing the Yesha Council of “assisting in the expulsion of Jews” through its support for the voluntary evacuation of some Jewish towns in exchange for official government authorization for others.
Fighting broke out when members of Loyalists to the Land of Israel began shouting during a speech by Yesha Council head Danny Dayan. [Daniella] Weiss later said she felt it was important to interrupt Dayan in order to publicize the Yesha Council’s tactics. [Yesh"a Council Head Danny] Dayan said the Yesha Council was doing what was necessary to strengthen Jewish life in Judea and Samaria, and would not be deterred by violence.
