On Rabbi Meir Kahane's 25 Yartzeit: Torah vs. State

י״ט לחודש השמיני תשע״ו

Rabbi Meir Kahane hy"d
This Shabboth marked 25 years since the murder of Rabbi Meir David Kahane hy"d, at the hands of the FBI-handled El Sayyid Nosair.

For this year's yartzeit, I will take the opportunity to give you some of my impressions of Rabbi Kahane, based on a prompt from a friend on Facebook.

I love when I hear Israeli activists "talk tough" but stay away from Rav Meir Kahane's words because they view them as extreme. News flash, most of what Kahane said was about core Jewish values from the Torah. I guess all these activists know what is better for Israel.....*sigh*.

During this string, the issue of "coexistence" came up.

Rabbi Kahane’s position against coexistence was not based on emotions, as is so often the case in Western “progressive” culture, in other words the culture of American and European galuth (exile). His position was, and is, based on Torah reasoning, devoid of emotional influence. His emotions expressed in his speeches were due to his passion for the truth, and frustration over the inability of the Jewish People to see it.

Almost no one has been able to refute his halakhic (Torah legal) claims, falling back on name-calling and demonizing instead. Those who have attempted to do so, have done so with questionable arguments, or with arguments which have not held up to halakhic scrutiny.

Rav Kahane’s greatest “crime” was to quote Biblical verses and halakhic statements from the podium in the Knesseth. My favorite was his mention of the Ramba”m’s Laws of Kings and their Wars, chapter 3.
י [ט] ...ואין צריך לומר אם גזר המלך לבטל מצוה, שאין שומעין לו.
10 [9] ...needless to say, if the King rules the cancelling of a mitzvah, one does not heed him.
The mention of this is not just about whether non-Jews may reside in Eretz Yisra'el (Land of Israel), or marry Jews, issues for which Rabbi Kahane was particularly known, but any situation in which a strirah (conflict) exists between Torah Law and State laws, such as the giving away for Land and the throwing of Jews out of their homes.

Many mamlakhtim (die-hard State loyalists) have been taught that the Knesseth is a stand-in for the King today. So qal we'homer (even more so) does this halakhah apply.

In 2005, even “mainstream” rabbis such as Rabbi Avraham Shapira ztz”l, the late Rosh Yeshivah of Merkaz HaRav told soldiers not only to sit in jail, before throwing Jews out of their homes, but to be proud doing so. But the mamlakhti “rabbis” with the money and powerful publicity machine, not to mention the support from the government, quashed Rabbi Shapira's message, and continue to do the same to any rabbi attempting to point such conflicts between the Torah and the State. Thus most Jews outside of Jerusalem never heard that he said this, and when they finally did, most would not believe it.

It is no wonder that years before, Rabbi Kahane once said that sitting in jail for the sake of Am Yisrael (Torah, Eretz Yisrael, etc.) should be a requirement for being called “rabbi.” Machon HaMiqdash (Temple Institute's) Rabbi Yisra'el Ariel was one who fulfilled this requirement.

The very popular mamlakhti rabbi, Shlomo Aviner, who helped to throw Jews out of their homes in Azza (Gaza/Gush Qatif), referred to Rabbi Kahane as a “walking Sefer Torah.” I guess he was right about something.

Rabbi Kahane attempted to work within the system to facilitate the process of infusing Torah into the State of Israel, already in existence. In the end, he discovered that this was not going to work. Play by the rules, make gains, and the those in control simply change the rules.

Years later Moshe Feiglin (Likud), would also find this out the hard way. In the last election, MK's Eli Yishai and Yoni Chetboun (Yachad) were prevented from re-entering the Knesseth, because of thousands of fake balloting cards being smuggled into polling booths to replace the real ones. And so all of these votes, 12,000 of them were disqualified,…by the Arab judge, supervising the "fairness" of the elections.

Israeli democracy, or rather deMOCKracy, was time and again revealed to be nothing more than a hypocritical instrument in the maintenance of the citizens' loyalty to the State, above all other loyalties.

The Arab who killed Rabbi Meir Kahane may have done so, because of how he felt. The Arabs who killed Rabbi Binyamin Kahane may have done so for the same reasons. And the same could be said about the Arabs now threatening Rabbi Kahane's imprisoned grandson, Meir Ettinger. But in actuality, these Arabs are not trying to kill Jews, they particularly hate. Rather, they are attempting to kill the truth.

As the Ramba"m states...
Laws of Repentance 3:17
These three are deniers of the Torah: ...(3) and the one who says that the Creator has changed this mitzvah for another mitzvah, and has already cancelled this Torah, even though was from HaShem, such as the Christians and the Muslims, each of these denies the Torah.
Rabbi Kahane also warned Christian missionaries to stay away from Eretz Yisra'el.

The basis for the negative mitzvah of לא ישבו בארצך ("they will not settle in your Land") is to prevent kefirah (denial) of the truth from being present in the Land and influencing us negatively.

But, Rabbi Kahane's message was not just about about the dangers of coexistence with goyim, how it would not only not work, but how it would be the end of us. Rabbi Kahane's message went even further, and concerned the importance of Jews living according to Jewish principles (ie. Torah), and not the Western/non-Jewish principles we picked up over the last 1,700 years in the golah (exile).

As I write this, I wonder when Jews will realize the dangers of further attempts at coexistence between Torah and State.

With the Israeli Supreme Court calling the shots on one hand, and the Israeli Government using them as an excuse, if not overtly battling against Torah principles themselves, and the mamlakhti "rabbis" standing by to keep the wool pulled over our eyes, defending of their holy State, it seems to be a fairly futile cause, attempting to combine the two.

Unfortunately this is the state (and the State) in which we are currently living.

There is a conflict, and we are all going to have to choose.

Meir (ben Tovah) Ettinger, is sitting in administrative detention, without being charged, let alone having been indicted or convicted of any crime, because he has chosen loyalty to HaShem and His Holy Torah, rather than the State.

Mosques and Churches Burn! Everyone is Outraged! Synagogues Burn, Who Cares?

ב' לחודש השישי תשע"ה

Synagogue Arson: Books and Tefillin are Undamaged
Employees discovered the fire at the 'rest stop' synagogue just off Highway 6 before it spread into the building.

Hezki Ezra, 8/16/2015

Arsonists set fire to a small roadside synagogue in north-central Israel before dawn in Friday, but the fire was put out before it could consume holy books and tefillin (phylacteries). The synagogue is located next to a rest stop on Highway 6, and enables travelers to make a “pit stop” for praying and then continue to drive down the major thoroughfare.

Mendi Makmal, Chabad's emissary at the synagogue, told Arutz Sheva that the report about the attack was received at 5:00 AM Friday. The same synagogue was burned to the ground in a previous arson attack, 14 months ago, and Makmal feared that the same thing had happened again. Happily, he was proven wrong.

"In the end it was the employees at the site who showed initiative, took fire extinguishers and water and succeeded in putting out the fire,” he recounted. “Thank God, the damage is only external, the tefillin and books remained whole, and only the walls and air conditioners were damaged. We will fix them and activity will resume with even greater gusto.”

Security cameras were installed after the previous arson, and the recordings are in the hands of the police, said Makmal.

While the synagogue is located near the Arab town of Baka al-Gharbiya, Makmal was not quick to point the finger at that specific community. “There are fields and orchards here and a person can approach from any direction. If you want to set the fire, you just have to cover your face and set the fire.”

Makmal said that the arsonists apparently had helmets on. They poured gasoline and set it on fire, and then got away. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Apparently, still no word on the analysis of the security camera footage. My bets are on Arabs.

Helmets? A professional job? Maybe. Well-planned out? Definitely.

This was second time this synagogue was set on fire in 14 months. It is "located near the Arab town of Baka al-Gharbiya," yet the rabbi "was not quick to point the finger at that specific community."

However, the rabbi did not rule out Arabs as the culprits either.

More importantly, though, where is the outrage?

Meir David Ettinger sits in jail under an old British Mandate legal action, called "administrative detention," used against Jews fighting for Israel's independence, cohorts of former Prime Ministers Begin and Shamir. Ettinger is being held as a suspect in the alleged arson of of an Arab's house, killing it's owner and infant son.

All evidence appears to be pointing to the consequences of Arab clan wars. But, has anyone recanting their scatching accusatory assumptions that it was Jews? Has any Israeli politician displayed regret for his calls for the death penalty?

A church was burned in the north, and the world is up in arms. Two additional young, Jewish men sit in "administrative detention," accused of the church's arson. But, at least one of them was with his parents at the time the fire started.

Naftali Bennett
...calling for the death penalty.
A mosque was burned down in an Arab village next to K'far Tapu'ah in the Shomron (Samaria), supposedly by Jews. A former neighbor of mine, another grandson of Rabbi Meir Kahane hy"d was taken in for questioning for about eight hours, before being released. Also named for his grandfather, Meir David is nice and bright, young man, as gentle as his father Rabbi Binyamin Kahane hy"d
A leftist professor had a pipe bomb blown up next to him. At least 15 Jews were dragged in for questioning, myself included. This incident still smells like a "false flag event" to me, an excuse to harass Jews who fear The Almighty more than the Israeli Government, and a chance to convince them to work for them.

Arabs burning synagogues, running people down with cars, buses, and tractors are either said to be "acting alone," crazy, freedom fighters, or sufferers of battered wives syndrome.

They go to jail, sit around, watch television and eat pizza, waiting their turns to be released in the next prisoner exchange, after which they can go out and kill some more Jews (May The Almighty save us from ourselves!).

Whereas Jews suspected of killing of killing an Arab, even without any eyewitnesses, let alone any evidence at all, sits in jail, with limited contact with counsel, if that, and are called extemists, and threats to the State's vary existence, and anti-Semites and self-hating Jews have a field day yelling out, "I told you so!" and comparing them to the Taliban and ISIS.

These young men are supposed to be "extremists," because they acknowledge that the Torah touches every aspect of a Jew's life, and not just "shabbos and kashrus shailos."

Whereas the bumbling idiots, hanging on with dear life to their seats of power, call themselves "Zionists," and have obviously forgotten what the term realy means, not to mention the actual origin of the concept, from thousands of years ago.

Politics in the Israeli Entertainment Industry

ג' לחודש השנים עשר תשע"ד

YNET: Israeli singer Achinoam Nini rejects composers' organization award
Ran Boker, January 30, 2014

Israeli singer Achinoam Nini refused to accept an award by ACUM (a non-profit corporation administering the rights of authors, composers, lyricists, poets, arrangers and music publishers) due to the organization's decision to honor singer Ariel Zilber with an award as well.

Nini wrote on her personal facebook page: "I wanted to announce that I have cancelled my participation in the Akum Prize Award Ceremony due to ideological reasons. I also asked that no one accept the award on my behalf."

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Well, this will most likely not be the last time that politics sneaks its head into the Israeli entertainment industry.

I wonder what issues Ahinoam Nini could have with Ariel Zilber.

Ariel Zilber
Before and After
Could it be that in תשס"ה/2005, he moved to Azza (Gaza/Gush Qatif) to show support for the Jews the Israeli Government was getting ready to kick out of their homes, and off of their lands, and eventually did?

Could it be the concerts he gave right next to the Israeli Army [IDF] planning to kick those Jews out of their homes?
Could it be that in תשס"ו/2006, he supported Baruch Marzel (National Jewish Front) for K'nesseth?

Could it be that in תשס"ט/2009, he supported Micha'el Ben-Ari and Aryeh Eldad (Our Israel-National Union) for K'nesseth?

Could it be that in תש"ע/2010, Zilber sang at the the Memorial for R' Binymain and Talia Kahane hy"d, 10 years after they were killed.

Could it be that Ariel Zilber has become Torah observant?

Personally, I do not know how any of the above have anything to do whether Ariel Zilber deserves to receive an award for achievement in music or not. Even if all of the above experiences had a part in inspiring him, I still don't see the connection.

Apparently, neither did ACUM, the organization honoring Ariel Zilber with the award.

Bath-Ayin Caves into the State's Demands

כ"ה לחודש העשירי תשע"ד

Yeshiva World News: Yishuv Bat Ayin Sends a Stern Message to the Extremists
YWN – Israel Desk, Jerusalem, December 25, 2013

For many, Yishuv Bat Ayin is synonymous with extremist behavior and a total disrespect for law enforcement agencies. According to the [leftist] daily Maariv, quoting the head of the community council Elchi Fine, things are changing for the better.

There have been many attacks against Arabs and even IDF soldiers attributed to residents of the community. In one case, a number of residents were arrested in connection with a firebomb attack against an Arab taxicab. According to Fine, the straw that broke the camel’s back was an incident that took place a number of weeks ago in which masked men attacked an Arab truck driver at the community entrance. IDF soldiers responding to the incident were then attacked by the same people.

Fine says residents are fed up with the bad reputation, so much so they are now cooperating with police of the National Crimes Unit, providing information which will lead to the arrest of some of the extremists. The community is taking action to oust those families that identify with the extremist, but it appears this effort is only partially successful at best.

“We are willing to do what it takes to halt the violence” Fine is quoted saying. In addition, the community has finally announced a willingness to have a security fence built around parts of the yishuv, which to date has been contested by the so-called extremists, who feel such a move exhibits weakness and defines a community’s boundaries, which they did not wish to do.

(Tip: Tomer Devorah)

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
A friend of mine and his family were living in Bath-Ayin temporarily. They did not get accepted through va'ad haqelitah (absorption committee). During the process, this friend of mine was asked if he was a "Kahanist," and told that...
"It's OK to be a Kahanist."
He said that no, that he was not, because, like many of Jews including myself, he does not fit neatly into a box.

Either there is still some conflict within this town regarding hashqafah (Torah perspective), offers and/or threats from the government. Probably all of the above.

What tipped me off in the above report was the issue of the fence. In the eyes of the so-called "extremists," the fence surrounding a town does not send the message to the Yishma'elim (Arabs) that the land inside of it belongs to us. Rather it sends the message that what is outside of the fence does not belong to us.

Eretz Yisra'el (The Land of Israel) is Divinely promised to Am Yisra'el (The People of Israel). Bath-Ayin is not any less Eretz Yisra'el than Tel-Aviv is.

Artificial lines whether drawn by non-Jewish, international organizations, or counter-Torah declarations by Jews themselves are irrelevant. They have meaning, only when we allow them to have meaning; they have power, only when we allow them to have power.

The results of the Israeli Government attributing meaning and power to those elements undeserving of meaning and power? Last month's bulldozers plowing through Bath-Ayin.

Rabbi Binyamin
Kahane hy"d
And speaking of being a"Kahanist," whatever that is supposed to mean, and "reputation," Rabbi Binyamin Kahane hy"d said that one should not be concerned with ones reputation, only with doing the right thing (paraphrase).

The town council of Bath-Ayin has made its choice, as have several other Jewish towns in Yehudah and Shomron (Judea and Samaria).

Towns in Azza (Gaza) made similar choices. These towns no longer exist. Some communities have tried to stick together, and to rebuild their lives together. After eight years, some still do not have permanent housing.

The residents of these former border towns have yet to find to comfort (TB Sanhedrin 97a).

Arabs In Tapu'ah: What Happened?

כ"ח לחודש השלישי תשע"ג

Kol Yehudi: [K'far] Tapu'ah: 5 Residents were Arrested Who Tried to Prevent Arab Workers from Entering

Elhanan Gruner, June 2, 2013

The decision to allow the entrance of Arab workers into the town boundaries of [K'far] Tapu'ah this morning led to a confrontation between residents opposed to the move and the Arab workers' employers. Five of the town's residents who tried to prevent the Arabs from entering were arrested. (Translated by Esser Agaroth)

Arab worker in K'far Tapu'ah

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
As a former resident K'far Tapu'ah, I am embarrassed by the actions of the town council, yet not in the least bit surprised.

Few Jews in and outside of Israel, and few non-Jews are aware that Arabs coming into Jews towns in Yehudah and the Shomron is not at all uncommon. K'far Tapu'ah, however, had been one of the few towns to stand behind its "no Arab" policy.

A similar situation occurred in the even more Mamlakhti (undying State-loyalist) town of Ofrah, to the south of K'far Tapu'ah. The Ofrah town council had decided to prevent an "Israeli" Arab contractor from doing work in the town. When the Ofrah resident, a Jew, who had hired the Arab threatened to sue the town, the council backed down. However, it did insist upon armed security escorts to keep an eye on the Arabs.

What I gather from Gruner's report, from one of those arrest residents, since released, and from another reliable source, the project has been funded with money from the Israeli government, and must follow Israeli governmental policy, which happens to include assurances of [suicidal] "equality." The Arab workers (all of them?) in question apparently have State of Israel identification cards, and thus can be allowed into Jewish towns.

Rather than slowing down the project, by hiring only Jews, and obtaining alternative funding, it was decided to accept the government funding, and thus the government's conditions.

That's what appears to be the reasoning on the surface. However, if the "mayor" is still the same "mayor" when I was living there, I sincerely doubt those are all of the details of the story. My personal experience with this "mayor" caused me to run out of kaf zekhuth (benefit of the doubt) for him long before he was even elected "mayor."

From the side of those who tried to prevent the Arabs from entering, many of the Arab workers have been seen all over Tapu'ah, away from any of the building projects. What are they doing? Talking a stroll? Or mapping out the town. If the BBC can encourage it, then "Israeli" Arabs are certainly capable of carrying it out.

The women in Tapu'ah are reported to be particularly afraid of the Arab presence. And those "settler" women I remember from Tapu'ah are not scared so easily. Ironic that the women most frightened are probably from the Mamlakhti families who want the Arabs there in the first place!

When a mosque was burned down in the neighboring village Yassuf, everyone in Israel was in an uproar, including some rabbis, such as Israel's Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi Yonah Metzger and Chief Rabbi of the British Realm Jonathan Sacks.

If a Jewish "settler" woman or a child (God forbid!) were to be attacked by an Arab, who was invited into the town, would there be such an outrage? I am afraid to say that I doubt it. As the Arab is an "Israeli citizen," the case would no doubt. Yet, to prevent such an act from occurring, by doing the only reasonable thing, keeping the potential attacker from entering in the first place, is "racist."

So, maybe it is "racist," according to the lovely Western, progressive definitions we picked up in galuth, and most of my fellow Jews have failed to discard already.

However, HaZa"L (Our Sages, maybe their memories be for blessings) thought otherwise.
אין זנות כזנות ישמעאל.

There is no promiscuity like the promiscuity of Yishma'el.
That's just the animal sexual aspect. For the violence, just pick up a Tana"kh (Bible), and then a messekhta of Talmud. Better yet, get a CD-Rom with both, and read everything which comes up on a search for Yishma'el.

This stamps upon R' Binyamin Kahane's name.

Funny, how, to this day, K'far Tapu'ah is still known as a "Kahanist" town. To the dismay of the majority of the town council, and perhaps even most of the residents arriving over the past 10 or so years, K'far Tapu'ah is simply unable to rid itself of its Kahanist "stigma."

I guess we all know who is getting the last laugh here.

Let's just hope the town council wakes up, and takes a turn away from its path of self-destruction, and the destruction of K'far Tapu'ah and all of its residents.

Unfortunately, I am not so optimistic.

But, perhaps, "when going gets tough, the tough gets going," as they say. And the real Jewish settlers will be allowed to live Jewishly (ie. fully according to the Torah), and be allowed to defend their land and protect their families Jewishly, just what Rabbi Binyamin Kahane hy"d and his father Rabbi Meir David Kahane hy"d had always dreamed about.

Post Script:
I just heard from the man who was arrested and released later the same day. Both he and one of the men still in jail, I consider good friends. I do not know the details of this one's interrogation. However, I was able to gather that he took the lemons given to him and made lemonade.

He took the opportunity to do qiruv work, bringing Jews closer to Torah, at the police station. He even encouraged one police officer to make a berakhah (blessing) before drinking his glass of water.

Is Sari Raz A Racist? Or Is She Just Stupid?

כ"ג לחודש השני תשע"ג

YNET: Banknote Committee Member: Can't Think Of Any Mizrahi Poets

Sari Raz says she's 'unfamiliar with prominent 20th century Mizrahi poets'; adds: 'We thought about Yehuda Halevi, but were told there was no picture of him'

April 29, 2013

Sari Raz, a former Channel 1 anchorwoman said on Sunday, "I am really not familiar with prominent Mizrahi poets in the 20th century."

Raz is a member of the committee headed by retired Supreme Court Judge Yaakov Tirkel tasked with choosing Israeli figures to be commemorated on the new Bank of Israel bills.

The committee chose four poets - Rachel, Shaul Tchernichovsky, Leah Goldberg and Natan Alterman to appear on the new banknotes incurring the wrath of Shas party chairman Aryeh Deri, who lashed out at the absence of iconic figures of Mizrahi extraction.

Asked why a Sephardic figure was not chosen to appear on the new bills, Raz replied, "If there was someone predominant figure they would have definitely been added to the list. I am simply not familiar (with anyone), you could say that this committee is ignorant, but I don't really know any outstanding Mizrahi poets from the 20th century who are studied in schools, who youngsters write and learn about or whose words are composed into melodies and sung.

"I am not familiar (with anyone like that) if you are – give me a suggestion. If anybody else knows (of someone) – they should give me suggestions." (cont.)

(Tip Credit: "Bond")

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Oh, please! Gimme a break!

I have a few questions for Sari, and her fellow "committee" members.

1. So, is it that you could not think of any non-Ashkenazi poets, you were taught about any in your Israeli public school education, or you're just too stupid to think of any? Well, I guess you already answered that one for us above. But, the bottom line is that she does not seem to know of any Mizrahi (Eastern Jewish), religious poets either, from any century!

2. And, it certainly does not seem like the works of any such poets are taught in Israeli public schools. What does THAT tell you about the Westernized Israel we live in?? You know, where non-Ashkenazi children are trained early on

3. Why poets? Were poets decided upon, as a way of keeping out non-Ashkenazi role models, without raising any eyebrows, because people will buy the "there aren't any" line?

4. Why from the 20th Century? Could it be that you wanted to stick with contemporary, secular poets, lest even one child in the Israeli public school system gets some crazy idea to look up a religious poet, and then possibly become influenced by him?? Oy gevalt! A poet from 300 years ago (or 3,000 years ago) influenced my child to learn Torah!

I will tell you why there will not be anyone other than a token, Sepharadi or Teimani Jew on an Israeli banknote anytime soon. Just look at how the secular, Ashkenazi, Labor (non-) Zionists have treated the  and Sepharadi and Teimani Jews  over the years, and that should answer your question. (Click on the link.)

5. Why are the new banknotes so butt-ugly? (Although, I must admit that the combination of blue hues looks kind of cool. But, I digress...)

6. Why isn't even a smiggen of Jewish or Israeli symbolism completely absent from the new bank notes? (Ah! Didn't notice that, did you?) No Star of David, no Menorah, no map (Of course not. Too controversial.), no nothing.

Here's my vote for a new, Israeli banknote:

Back: "Kahane was right;" Front: Rabbi Me'ir David Kahane HY"D
(If you designed this banknote, please let me know, so that I can credit you.)
What do you think, Sari? Does my pick have any chance whatsoever making the final five choices?

Now, let's leave Sari Raz and her "committee" to the side, for a moment. Sari, don't go away. Esser Agaroth has some more words for you!

Why hasn't anyone asked about who designed these butt-ugly monetary notes?! For goodness sakes!

More importantly, why isn't anyone talking about how worthless the New Sheqqel will be soon? The propped up illusion of a strong Bank Of Israel, cleverly propped up by former bank president Stanley Fischer, is only delaying the inevitable. Sure, Israel has all those high tech. parts everyone talks and raves about. And even most Leftists are not willing to boycott (or are in very deep denial that many of their computer and cellular phone parts originated in Israel, in some way, shape or form.)

And, by the way, why isn't anyone talking about how worthless paper or plastic money around the rest of the world as well? Greece, Spain, Portugal, and now Cyprus,...  It's only a matter of time.

10 Ag' Coin
Apparently the 10 Agaroth coin (about 2.8¢), after which this site was named, actually costs 12 Ag' to produce. So, it will be of no surprise to you that there has been talk of phasing it out. But, don't thrown them out just yet. Save them! Just think about the copper content. Who knows it may soon be worth more than 10 Ag'. (Israeli Fun Fact courtesy of Rafi at Settlers Of Samaria)

I also suggest to stock up on what is really valuable: food, mainly dried and canned goods, and make sure to have a way to cook them. I know that the one community garden in my neighborhood, along with the "hidden in plain sight" edible plants are not going to be enough to support my neighborhood. What about yours?

Think I'm a nut? A conspiracy theorist? No problem. Just don't come crying to me, when you're hungry, and food is not as accessible as you thought it would be. You'll have to agree with me on at least one thing: You cannot EAT money.

Sorry to write so harshly. Just consider it "tough love."

And now, back to our show "Sari Raz And Friends!"

Sari Raz's score, according to the new and improved, individualized, Esser Agaroth (2¢) scoring system is...

2 1/2 Bozos, because she IS a Bozo, plus one nose-picking Shimon Peres for secular, Ashkenazi elitism.

The U. N Approves A Pseudostinian State

מוצש"ק פר' וישלח תשע"ג

Many people have already asked me what I think of the UN's recognition of "Palestine," and what we should do about it.

My response?
"It doesn't have to mean anything.  But, the Israeli government, along with Jews around the world will allow it to mean something."
It is as simple as that.

People around the world have bought into the Palestinian lie.  What is there for us to do about it?  We have given that lie power, by being wishy-washy about it what it really is, a big, fat lie.

It is a lie that the Arabs have any connection to the Land of Israel at all.  One only has to read Tana"kh (The Bible), to know that the Yishma'elim (Arabs) entered Israel only when the Jewish Kingdoms were weak. They murdered, raped, and pillaged, then left when they were done.  Sound familiar?  It should.  Only the swords have long since been replaced by guns, courtesy of the Israeli and U. S. governments, not to mention the sanctioned smuggling.

Arafat once tried calling his group of Yishma'elim descendants of the Jebusites, and thus the rightful owners of Jerusalem.

Many of you won't even remember this silly ploy.  That is how effective it was, not effective at all. So, they simply ditched this lie, hoped that everyone would forget about it, and moved onto the next lie.

These Arabs, albeit pawns of their big brothers in the surrounding Yishma'eli countries, cannot be Palestinians, because there is no Palestine.  Palestine was what the Romans insisted on calling all of Israel.  Even though Philistia was actually localized to the area of Gaza and surrounds.  The Roman goal was the same as many modern day countries: Diminish the Jews' integral connection to the Land of Israel.  Nablus, for example, is simply a bastardization of the Roman Neopolis. (Arabs have difficulties in pronouncing the the "p" sound.)

Nablus was never an ancient Palestinian city.  Although is was most certainly an ancient city.  It was, and is, called Shchem, a portion of which was actually purchased with money by our ancestor Ya'aqov (Jacob - Gen. 33:18-19).

Thus I prefer to call these Yishma'elim, "Pseudostinians," a term I got from Batya at Shiloh Musings. See her take on this UN vote, Standing Ovation For The Displacement/Destruction/Replacement Of Israel.

And, of course, as Tomer Devorah suggests, it was no accident that this vote took place on November 29, which was the same date in 1947 the UN voted to approve its partition plan for the area, making the way for Israeli statehood.

Meanwhile, UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon mistakenly calls for a One-State Solution.

Either this slip shows just exactly how much he hates Israel, or shows the true end result of Israel's success, deep in everyone's unconscious, or both.

In response to the UN vote, Israel approved new construction after UN vote.  Knowing the Israeli government, this was probably just its version of sticking out its tongue at the Arabs, and the rest of the world.  We should not need the approval of the rest of the world to build on Jewish lands.  Actually, we should not need the the approval from the Israeli government to do so, either.

A "Palestinian" Quiz has been making its rounds on the Internet lately.  It is captured here by Ya'akov Kirschen in his Dry Bones comic strip.  It validates the use of the term "Pseudostinian."

But, why not let an Arab have the last word?  Hey, there's a first time for everything, right?  This isn't just any Arab, but a former commander of the Pseudostinian Liberation Organization [PLO].

President Peres's Positively Palestinian Piece Process Pronouncement (Try Saying That 5 Times)

ערב שבת פר' ויצא תשע"ג

(Tip Credit: Rafi at the Life In Israel Blog)

Caring for the safety of civilians has been keeping us safe?

I seriously doubt it.

This is just more of the same Western/assimilationist confusion, or rather the desire to confuse and assimilate the Jewish People into Western society.

Thus sayeth Prez Peres: "We no longer need borders."

Thus sayeth his protege Yossi "Post-Zionist" Beilin: "We don't need a Jewish State."

This particular group of Erev Rav battles against Torah, and Torah values daily.

It's all part of the "Piece Process."

Meanwhile, the IDF Spokes rocket person tweeted this:

A friend of mine, Ari Dann, put it best when he commented on this tweet:
"Ya know, this whole thing would be over a lot faster if we didn't do this..."
And anyone who wants to argue over whether we are in a milhemeth misswah (an obligatory) or not, just see below:
הלכות מלכים ומלחמות ה,א
אין המלך נלחם תחילה, אלא על מלחמת מצוה. ואיזו היא מלחמת מצוה--זו מלחמת שבעה עממים, ומלחמת עמלק, ועזרת ישראל מצר שבא עליהם. ואחר כך נלחם במלחמת הרשות--והיא המלחמה שנלחם עם שאר העמים, כדי להרחיב גבול ישראל ולהרבות בגדולתו ושמעו.

And what is an obligatory war?...(3) aiding Israel from the siege which has come upon them.
And, before you have a chance to moan and groan at me about why I'm always citing the Ramba"m, let me ask you, "Care to cite another source on this matter?"

Another friend displayed a picture of his niece at her engagement party.  She was saying goodbye to her fiance, who was in IDF uniform, and being called immediately up for reserve duty.
But, in an obligatory war all go out, even the bridegroom from his room and bride from her huppah.
So, if the Israeli government is going to [appear to] follow some of the halakhoth of War, then how about if it if follows ALL of them.

Whoops!  I forgot.  What does the Israeli Government care about halakhah?

I'll give you a hint...

קל וחומר... What does Pres. Peres care about it?

Enough Already About These So-Called "Rabbis!"

ט' לחודש השישי תשי"ב
'Rabbis For Obama' Boycott Israel And Cozy Up To Ahmadinejad
"Rabbis for Obama" includes many anti-Israel figures who support the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against the Jewish state.

Rachel Hirshfeld, August 26, 2012

U.S. President Barack Obama U.S. President Barack Obama Israel news photo: Flash 90 President Obama’s re-election campaign announced last week the launch of “Rabbis for Obama,” an initiative aimed at rallying Jewish support for the president in the upcoming elections.

What has recently come to light, however, is that the list of over 600 rabbis, many of whom are Reform, Conservative and female and would thus not be considered as such by the Orthodox community, also includes many unabashedly anti-Israel figures, who align themselves with the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against the Jewish state. (cont.)
I still don't understand why IsraelNN.com can't put "rabbis" in quotation marks. I've mentioned this to them many times. They claim it's for clarity's sake. So many other self-respecting journalists use this strategy. Why can't they?  Why can't The Jewish Press?

The Jerusalem Post staff seems to like the idea of Jews doing what they want.  This would explain the legitimacy it attempts to grant to anyone calling him(or her)self a "rabbi," who supports this "do what we want" attitude.  The fact that they delude themselves into thinking that what they want IS what God wants, only provides additional support for the notion that they no nothing of Torah nor Jewish Law, or that the two are even remotely related.

As to the content of the article?

The content is just so absurd on one level, and on another level it is so very sad how lost the Jews are follow these charlatans.

It is questionable whether these self-hating jokers even Jewish, you know with all the sham conversions taking place for the last several generations.

Whether wannabe epikoursim or just tinoqoth shenishba, I have serious doubts whether any them could be counted in a minyan (minimum prayer group number).

...even the men.

מי שמבין יבין

I say "wannabe," because none of them have the hakhmah of Torah that the epikoursim did 1,000 to 1,700 years ago.

And what about those identifying themselves as "Orthodox?"

Hmm...  For some reason the word "kefirah"* pops into head.  But I can't imagine why....

What's that?!  Did someone in the audience just yell the word "mahti?"**

 מי שמבין יבין

What else is there to say?

They spit in the face of HaShem, who handed some of our land back to His People in תש"ח/1948, then returned even more of our lands back to us in , when we were threatened with annihilation by the Yishma'elite enemy, the same enemy they defend over their own brothers and sisters!  But, like I said, there is a question as to whether they really are our brethren, either on a Jewish legal level, or certainly on a spiritual level.

Not only do these people know nothing of Torah, having completely confused it with Western, assimilationist, galuth (exiles) values and sensibilites.  But, they also know nothing of peace.

Peace, simply put, is when are Jews are living where they should be, in Eretz Yisrael, behaving as they should be, keeping Torah and misswoth, with those non-Jews who are not permitted to live here, not living here!

These people should be called "Rabbis For Piece."  Better yet, "Pretend Rabbis Enabling Co-Dependent Assimilated Jews To Confuse Jewish Values with Non-Jewish Values, in order to Give Away their Land."

Oh, wait a minute!

We weren't talking about "Rabbis For Peace?"  We weren't talking about "Rabbis For Human (except for Torah observant Jewish) Rights?"

We were actually talking about "Rabbis For Obama," were we?

Honestly, do such name changes and re-inventions actually register anything significant in your brains?

These supporters of "piece," "Arab rights," and "Hussein Obama" will either receive their just punishment in the World To Come, or not, seeing as they hardly know better, and thus may not be culpable for their crimes.

Yet, in the meantime, it is upon us not to stand idly by, and allow them to continue on their path of destruction, destruction of the Land of the Israel, destruction of the People of Israel, and the destruction of the Torah of Israel!

Jews Attacked For Wearing "Povocative Hats"

16 of the Third Month 5772
IsraelNN.com: Jewish Tourists Stoned in Jordan over 'Provocative Hats'
Arabic websites say religious Jewish visitors to Kerak were attacked with shoes and rocks.
Gil Ronen, June 5, 2012

Arabs in Kerak, Jordan, attacked Jewish tourists because they wore "provocative hats" and other items of clothing worn by religious Jews, according to Arab websites.

The incident took place Sunday afternoon, when a group of Jews visited the Jordanian tourist site, where a Crusader castle is located along with other attractions.

According to Al Jazeera, as translated by bloggers, "Salem Jeradat – who owns a grocery in the town – was surprised Sunday afternoon by a delegation of Jewish men and women who were wearing the clothing of religious Jews, which led him to throw his shoes at them."

"'Then the people of the town immediately approached the group, threw shoes and stones, and kicked them out of town,' Jeradat said. 'The people of Jordan do not accept the Jews entering their homeland, and the Araba Valley treaty between Jordan and the Zionist entity does not represent us.'"

Al Jazeera explained, "The idea is that those who occupy Palestine and desecrate holy places should not be allowed to roam freely in Jordan. Citizens of the town gathered in the evening in a grocery and committed themselves to prevent Jews from returning to their town."

Elder of Zion blog noted that another Jordanian website added that the Jewish tourists were wearing "provocative hats."
(Tip Credit: Jews News and Elder Of Ziyon)

"Provocative hats?"

Did those "hats" have profanity or epitaphs written on them?  Did they have pictures of weapons printed on them?

I'll tell you what's provocative.  Being Jewish is what's provocative.

No one ever wants to bring up that Jews are banned from Saudi Arabia.  Are there any Jews who live in Jordan?

Let's face it.  Jordanians know and fear the truth.  Jordan, their make-believe country, with its artificial borders, was born into existence by the UN and the British Mandate, who were worried that the Hashamites (currently the Jordanian royal family) would be jealous of their cousins in Saudi Arabia, and have a tantrum, if they didn't get a country of their own.

And so, the made-up country of Jordan was born, and named after the real river Jordan, in an attempt to give it legitimacy.

Recently, it has been reported (finally) that many, including Jordanians, have said that "Jordan is Palestine."

That's all very well and good, except for one minor issue.  Palestine is also a made up concept just like Jordan, with a made up people, pining for yet another make-believe country with yet more, man made, artificial borders.

The truth is that Jordan is just another part of Israel, the tribal territories of Re'uven and Gad, to be precise.

Thus, the term "West Bank" used to identify Yehudah and the Shomron (Judea & Samaria), is actually not such an imprecise term as I once thought, since the "East Bank" of the Jordan River (ie. Jordan) belongs to Israel as well.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, those (incredible naive) Jews visiting the tourist sites in "Jordan," wearing those "provocative hats," and having the nerve to spend money as local businesses, supporting the economy of our so-called "partners in peace," were indeed being provocative.

They had the nerve to exist, and to dare buy into the lies that Jordan is a free and safe country for people of all walks of life.

My only concern is that these Jews, or their family members or neighbors, will eventually return to Jordan, in the interest of peace, unknowingly repeating the same mistakes, expecting different results.

And we all know what that is, don't we?

Insanity.

Jordan is not the first country, not by a long shot, in which it is considered provocative to be Jewish.  But, what my fellow Jews need to get their heads around (if they have any chance of surviving) is that it's not going to be the last, and as farfetched as it may seem, it may eventually be considered provocative existing as a Jew in the country where you are sitting right now.

Does Rabbi Kahane Need Defending?

Erev Shabbath Qodesh Parashath Bamidbar 5772

A  friend from yeshiva asked me to help defend Rabbi Me'ir Kahane  hy"d.

He was referring to the comments made on some post on Gil Student's blog (now, more than one post)

What's the point?  I know it's sad, but I have long given up on the same ol', same ol' Jews, be they modern orthodox, Litvaks, or Satmar, buried to their necks in galuth (exile), and in the galuth mentality.

Yet, truth be told, though, the main reason I write Esser Agaroth is because of the crazy idea that I can help one more Jew escape galuth, and that (OK, I'll say it) un-Jewish mentality.

So, I guess I really haven't given up; I'm just pessimistic and frustrated, and want to give up.  But, I can't.
לֹא תַעֲמֹד עַל-דַּם רֵעֶךָ - שמות יט,טז
Do not stand idly by the blood of your neighbor - Ex. 19:16

But, why should I bother defending Rabbi Kahane hy"d?  These clowns* aren't going to listen?  They have already made up their minds, most them not having read a single one of his books.  And, those who have undoubtedly, refused to accept anything he says, even though backed with halakhic sources.  If it doesn't fit into their hashqafas, then it couldn't possibly be correct, right?  (See below, for the use of the word "clowns.")

The next question is does Rabbi Kahane NEED defending?

Jews will either listen, or they won't.  They will either get on the plane, or they won't.  Funny thing is why Jews, religious Jews, feel a need to debate a rabbi who has been dead for 20 plus years.  My theory is that they need to justify their Western ways, and/or their belief in the acceptability of making a permanent residence in a "strange land," a land not their own.  they need to justify their "feelings," in perfect Western progressive fashion.  They need to discredit Rabbi Kahane, to prevent the onset of the greatest cognitive dissonance they have ever to experience.

Rabbi Kahane quoted halakhah, believed that Jews should follow halakhah, and that halakhah takes precedence over contra-Torah laws of the State of Israel.  No one has yet been able to refute his positions by applying halakhic sources, particularly the issues of goyim residing in Israel and the distinguishing between Israeli Law and halakhah.  They are not identical, as the mamlakhti (undying state loyalists) would have you believe.

Everyone who has tried, has done nothing but apply their "feelings" to a situation, sometimes calling it "facing reality," and has picked and chosen various halakhic sources out of context, not in the least bit shayach, and have quoted random pesuqim to support their "feelings."

The Rabbinical Council of America [RCA] is a good example, when it has criticized rulings of Rabbanim such as Rabbi Shmu'el Eliyahu shlit"a, and yet has insisted that Israeli rabbis stay out of its business.  Go figure...

Clearly, they have forgotten where the capital of Torah is, treating physical boundaries made up by goyim as relevant.

Rabbi Me'ir Kahane's primary "crime," as it were, was to dare to quote verses from the Tana"kh, as well as from halakhic sources, while speaking in the Knesseth.

He was demonized a racist because of it, and because of his second crime: He differentiated between the Torah-true, Jewish mentality and the Western/assimilationist un-Jewish mentality.  He taught Jews that one was correct, and the other was not.

The recent ruling of Rabbi Shmu'el (ben Mordechai) Eliyahu , the Chief Rabbi of Tzfat, that one may not rent apartments to Arabs, even though they are "Israeli citizens," incurred the same demonization.  The Rabbinical Association of America, which can't stand it when Israeli rabbis but into its affairs, did not hesitate to condemn his rulings as well. Its representatives used Western "logic," rather than halakhic sources, which basically boiled down to "What will the goyim say?"

The wives of prominent rabbis in Israel incurred the same when they came out against Jews dating Arabs.  Yet, even the so-called "Reform" movement discouraged it.

Rabbi Kahane also encouraged us to take a serious look at ourselves.

Were we acting like good little Jewish boys and girls, hoping that the goyim would see that we're just like them, and thus gain their acceptance?

Or, were we concerned with how The Holy One, Blessed Be He, sees us?

Were we comparing ourselves with non-Jews in our countries of birth?

Or, were we comparing ourselves with ourselves with our scholar-warrior forefathers, and striving to live up to their examples?

Were we taking pride in what good American (or British or French) citizens we were?

Or, did we take pride in being Jewish, and that we now had sovereignty over our true homeland, and needed to become part of the only solution by making aliyah?

Rabbi Kahane had the courage to teach us that when there is a setirah (conflict) between the Torah and Israeli, and takes precedence over Israeli law.  He taught us so, even in the face of the sniveling lap dogs of the Israeli Government.  These puppets with kippoth could not sufficiently counter him with any halakhic argument, so instead they called him names, and buried their heads in their mamlakhti (undying State loyalist) hashqafah.

He was known for quoting the Ramba"m, in particular the following from the Laws of Kings and Wars (I wonder how many Jews even know that there is such a thing.), to support his assertion:

ג,י  [ט] המבטל גזירת המלך בשביל שנתעסק במצוות, אפילו במצוה קלה--הרי זה פטור:  דברי הרב ודברי העבד, דברי הרב קודמין.  ואין צריך לומר אם גזר המלך לבטל מצוה, שאין שומעין לו.

3:10 [9] One who cancels the decree of the King for the sake of occupying himself with misswoth, even a misswah considered to be light – is exempt [from punishment].  The words of a rabbi and the words of a slave, the words of a rabbi take precedence.  And one does not [even] need to say [that] if the king decreed the cancellation of a misswah, that one does not heed him.

He could have cited this halakhah until he was blue in the face.  It didn't matter.  Those silly Jews who insisted that the K'nesseth was even a stand-in for a king, could not get their head around this extremely clear, Jewish source.  Rather they preferred to cling to their Hellenist democracy, not as a temporary system of administering a Jewish state, but as a "Look!  We're just like the goyim!" system of government.  The system of government pointed to by the Torah, was just foreign to them as the fact that Jews killing Jews, led us to the first Hanukkah.

At around the same time that Rabbi Kahane was attempting to convince Jews to think and act like Jews, Rabbenu Tzvi Yehudah Kook ztz"l, Rosh Yeshiva of Merkaz HaRav Kook, taught that one "…should do everything in order to prevent and delay the evacuation of Jewish strongholds" (Rb. Z. Melamed, Bet El; Rb. Elitzur Sege"l, Ofra)  He himself put his money where his mouth was, and planted himself in the Jewish town of Shavei Shomron to prevent its demolition. He, too, showed that following the Torah takes precedence over State laws which ran contrary to the Torah.  I doubt that anyone in the Religious Zionist communities would dare call Rabbenu Tzvi Yehuda an "extremist," like they would Rabbi Kahane.

Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda Kook ztz"l and Rabbi Me'ir Kahane ztz"l hy"d at the Kotel (Western Wall)
*Rabbi Kahane said that he would never forget Rabbi Ya'akov Filber's shocked face, when Rav Tzvi Yehudah asked him to take their picture together at the Kotel.
Years later, Rabbi Dov Lior and Rabbi Zalman Melamed were barricaded within the beth k'nesseth (synagogue) of K'far Darom, making the last stand in the Jewish control areas of Azza.  The actions of these rabbis spoke louder than words, clearly demonstrating their belief that Torah and Israeli law were not one and the same, and that Torah took precedence over the other.

The previous Bostoner Rebbe ztz"l also cited halakhah, indicating that it was forbidden to give up Azza to the Arabs, contrary to the actions of the Israeli government, led by Ariel Sharon.

Rabbi Avraham Shapira ztz"l, the next Rosh Yeshiva of Merkaz HaRav Kook, after Rabbeinu Tzvi Yehuda, and former Chief Rabbi of Israel, told IDF soldiers that when confronted with choice of throwing Jews out of their homes (in Gaza, 2005), or sitting in jail, one should not only sit in jail, but to take pride in it.  In other words, he sent the message that Torah Law takes precedence over any State decrees which violated the Torah, just like Rabbi Kahane.

Rabbi Kahane also suggested that one of the requirements for being called "rabbi" is having sat in jail on behalf Israel, which he did.  So has Rabbi Yisra'el Ariel shlit"a, head of the Temple Institute, along with several others, many of whom I doubt you have ever heard of, there goals not including fame and notoriety.  Many years later, Rabbi Kahane's son Rabbi Binyamin Kahane hy"d did as well.  I wonder how many of those criticizing Rabbi Kahane have fulfilled this requirement.

So, does Rabbi Me'ir Kahane need defending?  I think not.  Although, it appears that some very unlikely rabbis have already attempted to do so.

*clowns - From Eicha Rabba, among other sources.

"The "clowns of the generation," which our Sages describe are people with a purpose.  In order to nullify the truth, which they cannot accept, they grasp onto certain points and make a joke out of them.  But as time passes, all the ideology and seriousness that once cloaked them becomes undone, since their goal was to undermine the truth in order to continue in their ways of sin and falsehood.

Migron Compromise Is A Disgrace!

27 of the Twelfth Month 5772

IsraelNN.com: Arabs Angered By Migron Agreement
Arabs who failed to prove that the community of Migron was built on private land say the compromise with the residents is "a disgrace."

Elad Benari
, March 21, 2012

The Palestinian Authority Arabs who claimed, with the help of leftist Peace Now, that the community of Migron in Binyamin was built on private land but who have failed to prove that claim, are now complaining about the compromise that has been reached with the residents.

The residents of Migron recently signed an agreement, brokered by Minister Benny Begin, according to which residents will be uprooted from their homes at the current site and will be moved to a permanent neighborhood on state land nearby.

The agreement calls for the community to be relocated to its permanent location, near the Psagot Winery, in two years' time. The present site will be handed over to the Civil Administration. The existing structures at the site will be torn down but a "public site" may be established at the location instead of a residential community.

In any case, the location of the present Migron will remain Jewish and will not be handed over to Arab control. (Read the entire report)

What do you know? The Arabs were actually right about something this time. The so-called compromise between them and the residents of Migron IS a disgrace. Albeit they were right, for completely the wrong reasons.

It does not matter that Migron residents will be able to set up new town near the P'sagot Winery, which is literally a hop, skip, and a jump away from the current location of Migron.

It does not matter if the Israeli government claims that "the location of the present Migron will remain Jewish and will not be handed over to Arab control."

What does matter is that the rights of Jews to their eternal homeland is being decided by Erev Rav courts and organizations like Peace Now, which receive a significant percentage of its budget from the Norwegian government. The Israeli government and the residents of Migron are sitting back and allowing it.

That is the disgrace.

I predicted way back in 2008, that some sort of deal would be struck between the residents of Migron and the government, in A Likely Story. Even though the YeSh"A (Judea & Samaria) Council denied it up and down. I have been following this very annoying story ever since.

One of the options, at the time, was to move the residents of Migron into spanking, brand new houses in the town of Adam, which lies next to the northern city limits of Jerusalem, a reward for "good behavior." You see, the residents of Migron are known mamlakhtim, undying State loyalists, even when Israeli law stands in conflict with Torah Law, something which has been happening increasingly more often.

Years ago, two of my friends were thrown out of Migron for passing out fliers. The fliers were invitations to the celebration of bringing a Sefer Torah into the beth k'nesseth (synagogue) on the Tapu'ah West hill. My friends were thrown out to the "crime" of having the image of murdered Rabbi Me'ir Kahane hy"d on the fliers. How dare the beth k'nesseth be named after his murdered son and daughter-in-law, Rabbi Binyamin and Talia Kahane hy"d!

That synagogue was later torn down, by none other than the Israeli Defense Forces [IDF], with a permit signed by an IDF "rabbi."

'Nuff said.

Such is the nature of Migron.
  • Refusal to to defy the Israeli government and its overly powerful courts in favor of God and His Torah.
  • Refusal to do battle with evil friends of Yishma'el (Arabs) who forsake our God-given Homeland, and who are puppets of Esau (Europe/The West), because ...they are misguided brothers and sisters who need to be treated with unconditional LOVE.
  • Disgusting treatment of kosher Jews who follow in the path of a ga'on (great scholar) and tzadiq (righteous Jew).
One thing about the mamlakhtim is that they have surprisingly good record on the opposing of Christians infiltrating the country. So, it will interesting to see how they deal with the Christian "volunteers," hosted by their new, next door neighbor, the P'sagot Winery.

We will have to wait and see. We will also have to wait and see what kind of fabulous home the residents of New Migron will receive, while Jews in towns just as old, and even older than Migron, continue to suffer in run down trailers.

The Most Dangerous Wedding In The World

Erev Shabbath Qodesh Parashath Yithro 5772

Last Wednesday night I attended the most dangerous wedding the world.

The hathan (groom), a former student of mine, made the news last year when, before his enlistment into the Israeli Defense Forces [IDF], he declared in advanced that he would refuse to carry out any order to throw Jews out of their homes, or to aid in the destruction of Jewish strongholds and villages. In spite of the various threats thrown at him, he stood by his principles and held ground. In the end the IDF refused to enlist him, undoubtedly due to the "dangerous" influence such a soldier might have on his fellow recruits.

But, that was not why his was the most dangerous wedding in the world.

At one time, the hathan's father was a student of Rabbi Me'ir Kahane hy"d. It was no surprise to see several of his former students present. It was great to see two and three generations from the same families together, carrying on his tradition of Torah and Jewish Pride.

One of the "next generation" in attendance was one of the heroic, "Tapu'ah Three," three teenaged women, who for months were unjustly incarcerated, for the sake of the Land of Israel was there, a friend of the kallah (bride).

There were several of us at the wedding from K'far Tapu'ah. In fact, I was speaking with someone from Har Berakhah at a neighboring table. I happened to mention that the five of us at our table were from Tapu'ah. He said that he could tell. I asked him if it was due to how we looked, or how we behaved. He said, "Both."

I am not entirely sure how one could so easily be able to identify us as being from a particular town. Nonetheless, the presence of so many Jews from the town often referred to as a "thorn in the side of the Israeli government" was not why this was the most dangerous wedding in the world.

Women stood separately from the men at the huppah, and refrained from dancing while in the presence of the men. They did so, not because they were told to. They did so, because that was what they believed was proper, and according to the wishes of the families of the hathan and kallah.

Some, ignorance, assimilated Jews might call this course of action as result of "the internalized oppression and brainwashing by the hierarchical patriarchy." Even so, the presence of modest women was also not why this wedding was the most dangerous one in the world.

There were a few armed men, and possibly women at this wedding, but nothing usually for a wedding in Israel, and thus nothing to make it the most dangerous wedding in the world.

This wedding was the most dangerous wedding in the world for one, and only one, reason.

Each and every one of wedding guests themselves was personally responsible for creating foundation of the most dangerous wedding in the world.

The wedding guests included residents of various yishuvim (towns) in Yehudah and the Shomron (Judea & Samaria), so called "settlers" from the serious, non-suburban yishuvim, such as Hevron, K'far Tapu'ah, Itamar, Elon More, and Mitzpeh Yericho. That fact alone did not contribute to why this was the most dangerous wedding in the world.

The guests also included Haredim, Litvaks, as well as various strands of Hassiduth.

To cap it all off, they were many non-religious Jews in attendance.

Jews from across the spectrum were singing, dancing, and celebrating TOGETHER.

Not only do those who control the government find this to be dangerous, but so, too, do the leaders of various groups of Jews. Many religious leaders do not want theirs to be influenced by non-religious Jews, or even other religious Jews of the "wrong" variety. Anti-religious do not want their children coming home, and all of a sudden begin putting on tefillin.

None of them want to lose control over their masses.

Jewish unity is dangerous.

That is why this was the most dangerous wedding in the world.
