The Israeli Foreign Minister's Error

English follows the Hebrew.

YNET: FM Katz urges world to sanction Hamas and Iran following hostages' murders
Following Hamas' executions of Israeli hostages in Gaza tunnels, Foreign Minister Israel Katz instructs Israeli embassies to meet with senior foreign officials and request action against Iran after Hamas 'executes' six hostages

Itamar Eichner | Sept. 3, 2024

Following the news of the murders of Israeli hostages in Hamas captivity in Gaza, Foreign Minister Katz instructed Israeli embassies around the world to urge top officials around the world to take action against Hamas and Iran. "An execution is crossing a red line, a shocking war crime by a murderous terrorist organization," he wrote. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Israel's Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz, who voted for Ariel Sharon's Disengagement Expulsion Plan, is, at best, naïve.

On Shemini Atzereth, October 7, of last year, 1,500 Israelis and others were massacred, and 250 were taken hostage. The are still in captivity, if they have not already been brutally murdered by their captors. The response of the international community was lukewarm at best.

Israel's right to fight to bring them home, all while defending the south from missile attacks was labeled genocide.

Throughout the last year, the U. S. and the UK began withholding weapons transfers to Israel. In the case of the U. S., it's Congress has already approved the funding. The U. S. President Senile Puppet withheld the transfer.

And all of the times in the past a terrorist organization such as Hamas or Hezbollah has attacked Israel, how did the international community respond? With sympathy?

The United Nations just reconfirmed its lack of sympathy hostility toward Israel with the absence of Israeli terror victims from its International Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Terrorism Exhibit, just two weeks ago. Anyone remember the 1972/תשל״ב Munich Olympics Massacre?

President Obama
What makes Katz believe that any will change over the latest six victims of Hamas terror? Because one was an American citizen?

Anyone paying attention to what is taking place in the U. S. right now should see that it has little concern for its own citizens, much like the Israeli government is concerned more about what the international community thinks about us than what its constituents think.

Naftali Frenkel (16) hy"d was a U. S. citizen. In 2014/תשע״ד, he was killed with Eyal Yifrah (19) hy"d and Gil'ad Sha'ar (16) hy"d after helping an Arab with his car in the Gush Etzion area of Judea. Did that make any difference to then President Obama? Of course not.

In 2015/תפע״ה, Ezra Schwartz (17) hy"d from Massachusetts was killed with two other Jews in a driveby shooting, not far from where the three boys were killed the previous year.

In 2001/תשס״א, U. S. citizen Koby Mandel (13) hy"d was killed by Arabs, along with Yosef Ishran (14) hy"d.

Gush Etzion is often considered more of a group of suburbs than settlements, its residents believing they will never be evacuated from their homes as was done to the residents of Gaza and Northern Samaria in 2005/תפס״ה.

I have no idea what Foreign Minister Katz is playing at. He posts many reasonable statements on his X (Twitter) account, as well as evidence from the mouths of Hamas terrorists themselves. But he fails to remember our history, both with Arab terrorists and with the so-called international community.

I do not know how many times I will have to say this. but he, and every other hasbaranik (PR advocate) is just making the same mistakes over again, expecting different results.

As far as threats go, I would say that he should not make any unless he means it, and can convince the rest of the government to support them. How many times in the past has Israel threated, and not followed through?

He should focus on Israel's distinct and separate nature, and work more toward Israel's autonomy and independence from all the other nations.

Hamas Ordered to Pay the Families of Three Murdered Boys. What About their Rabbis?

English follows the Hebrew.

Hamas, may they be blotted out!
YNET: Court orders Hamas to pay NIS 38 million to families of three murdered teens
Families of victims murdered in West Bank protest damages ruled, which are a fraction of the sum sought in the original lawsuit, and claim it will not deter terrorist groups from carrying out similar acts in the future
Elisha Ben Kimon | 09.14.21
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
What does it matter what the Israeli courts rule? Will the Israeli government succeed in finding a way to collect these funds for these boys' families?

Qatar, and most likely other countries, are still pumping money into Hamas machine. Will the Israeli Government ever be able to stop this?

And what about Gil-Ad, Naftali, and Eyal's hy"d rabbis? The murder of these boys was the result of their assisting an Arab feigning car trouble. Will these mamlakhti (diehard statists) rabbis continue to avoid teaching their students to stop helping such Arabs? (And if these rabbis are teaching their students to avoid helping such Arabs, then why did this happen?)

If the answer to these questions is "no," and if the Israeli Government refuses to change its strategy concerning such Arabs, then unfortunately there will only be more murdered boys like Gil-Ad, Naftali, and Eyal hy"d in the future. May God forbid!

Are the Residents of Yitzhar in Samaria Racist?

English follows the Hebrew.

JPost: Yitzhar protest sign banning Arabs draws racism charges
The sign appeared after a dispute with the army over the entry of Palestinians to the settlement.
Tovah Lazaroff, October 13, 2020 (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Most of you know that I can't stand to cite the Jerusalem Palestinian and Christian Post. The title of the cited report is one of the reasons why. How does this sign (above) indicate any "ban" on Arabs? The sign does not suggest any ban on Arabs in the area whatsoever. Perhaps Tovah Lazaroff needs to take a grammar review course.

Leftist and quasi-right-wing Jews claim that the sign is evidence of racism. How does this sign suggest racism? To me the sign only seems to suggest a concern for Arabs' safety. If the residents of Yitzhar wanted the opportunities to act-out any racist ideals, then they wouldn't have put up any sign, or better yet, they wouldn't have put up an "Arabs Welcome" sign.

Now look at the sign (right) erected by the Israeli Government all over Yehudah and Shomron (Judea and Samaria), and the law of said government stated very clearly in said sign.

"Dangerous to Your Lives" Whose lives? Jews' lives. Now, how is this sign any more racist than the sign to the entrance of Yitzhar?

It's not. Neither sign is racist. They are simply stating facts, based on experience.

In fact, Israel's Defense Ministry released an instructional video (above) for Jews on how to prevent carjackings, or worse. You do not have to understand Hebrew, in order to understand what is happening in the video. The first demonstration is what not to do when in an apparent accident; the second is what to do.

Ironically,...
"Gadi Gvaryahu, head of the left-wing Tag Meir organization, was carjacked by a group of Palestinian Authority Arabs on Monday while driving in Samaria." (Aryeh Savir, Tazpit News Agency via The Jewish Press).

The report continues...
"If Gvaryahu had been familiar with the following instruction video with Noam Jacobson (above), perhaps he could have avoided the incident."

It is also very tragic that a similar video was not released six years ago, and shown to teenagers. Had Eyal, Naftali, and Gil'ad hy"d (above photo) not come to the aid of the Arab sent to trick them into getting into his car, then they might still be with us.

Naftali Frenkel hy"d was an American Citizen. So What?

WND: Kerry omits fact kidnapped teen is U.S. citizen
3 boys believed to have been abducted by terrorists
Aaron Klein, June 15, 2014

John Kerry
TEL AVIV – U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry’s condemnation Sunday of the kidnapping of three Israeli teenagers omits the fact that one of those abducted is a U.S. citizen.

“The United States strongly condemns the kidnapping of three Israeli teenagers and calls for their immediate release,” read Kerry’s official statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with their families.” (cont.)

Naftali Frenkel hy"d
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Yeah, I know what you're going to say. Not enough time has past to post this kind of piece.

Sorry, but time is of the essence. If you haven't noticed, rockets from Gaza can now reach much farther into Israel than the last time there were barrages focusing on just the south.Sirens and exploding rockets have both been heard as far away from Gaza as Jerusalem, Hadera, Zikhron Ya'aqov and Haifa.

Apparently the rockets are not yet filled with explosives to capacity. If appears that Hamas is focusing on showing off the distance their rockets can now reach, much farther than only a few years ago.

But, I digress....

The difference between most American Jews in Israel and their Yemenite counterparts appears to be that Yemenite Jews, and for that matter, Tunisian, Iraqi, and Persian (Iranian) Jews, are well aware at how ridiculous it is to look to the governments of the lands of their exile to rescue them. Also, unlike American Jews, these Jews are well aware that the governments of their exile despise them.

Jews are still getting killed in Yemen, and their daughters are still potential targets for kidnapping into marriage, thus the custom there of betrothing and marrying them off at young ages in contrast to contemporary Western standards.

Various ethnic groups in Iraq have been successfully obtaining compensation from the current Iraqi regime for properties lost during the reign of Saddam Hussein. All ethnic groups have been successful, except for the Jews.

Jews have been regularly set up, and punished, as "spies" for Israel in Iran. Jews, and others, may not leave the country with more than like $500. More than one member of a family leaving at the same time is complicated at best, and rare. Arrangements to move to Israel, must be made by sending communications to Turkey, or another Muslim country, where Jews there act as relay stations with the Jewish Agency in Israel or the U. S. Open contact with Israel can be fatal.

But, it has been trickier for American Jews. The weapons of the U. S. government used against Israel have included only pen and paper, the news media, and its financial resources and influence. The weapons of the U. S. Government against Israel have not included swords, guns, drones, nor bombers in the air,...yet.

We were all born with the specific challenges inherent in the lands of our exiles. Jews born in Yishma'elite/Muslim countries may have had a more difficult time of it regarding their physical safety. Yet, this has always made it easy for them to know the reality of the punishment of exile.

American Jews have been faced with the spiritual challenges of assimilation, intermarriage, pseudo-conversions, quasi-Judaism, etc., and many have failed to through them, believing them to be the answers as to how to regard the modern Western world which encircles us.

The lack of physical threats for the most part during recent times has also contributed to the "forgetting" that exile is a punishment; living outside of our only true Homeland is a punishment. Meeting the financial and emotional challenges of the exile with financial success and major contributions to the benefit of American society perhaps have blinded us to the importance of looking toward residing in the Land of Israel, as our ultimate objective.

Jews raised in Arabs countries may have incurred horrible physical suffering and torture over the years. However, in the long run, this may have been a blessing. Whereas the experiences of Americans have blinded them to the reality that American is not our "friend." Exile is still a punishment, no matter how many cars you own, nor how many bedrooms your house has, nor how much "respect" you believe you garner from your colleagues in your high-paying, prestigious professions.

Many Americans are so blind that they still proudly identify themselves as American Jews, even though they live here, in Israel! "American" is not an ethnicity with rich customs like Yemenite, Iraqi, Persian, or even Lithuanian, Russian and Yekke!

America is a nation, founded only 238 years ago, an that is all it is. Incidentally, it was founded on 17 Tammuz. What does that tell you? Granted it is a "land of opportunity," with various freedoms unavailable in most other countries around the world. Or, at least it was.

No wonder why Americans have such a hard time adjusting to life in Israel. There bodies are here, but their hearts are still across the Atlantic Ocean!

Dare I bring up the Holocaust's influence on Western Jews? After having been broken physically, undoubtedly worse in some ways than our brothers and sisters to the south and to the east, we have such short memories! The world has not changed its mind about the Jews. Rather, we are in denial of this, or pretend not to care, even when we really do.

John Kerry
The fact is that John Kerry was sending American Jews us a message, and in particular American Jews residing in Israel.

You are not really Americans, no matter how much you contributed to America and its society, since before the Revolutionary War,...and you never have been.

It seems to me that this message, whether a conscious or unconscious omission, may have been sent to us from higher up, and Secretary of State John Kerry was just a tool of delivery. After all, it would not be the first time He has used a non-Jew or Jew of questionable status as messenger.

Just look at all of the "piece negotiations" (spelling on purpose) which have failed miserably due the Arabs rejecting them.

Thank God.

How many more messages will He have to send to us before we finally get it through our thick skulls  that we are a people, separate and distinct from other peoples.

We stand alone, with only the Holy One, Blessed Be He beside us, and certainly not the U. S.

#BringBackOurBoys Why Were They Really Killed?

Statements as to why three Jewish boys were recently abducted by Arab terrorists have been flooding the Internet, and have been accompanied by the usual finger pointing and blame game.

Now that the boys have been found murdered, May God avenge their blood!, it is of the utmost importance to answer the question in title.

Most of you may find this to be insensitive and distasteful. However, I intend to answer the questןon anyway, if for no other reason that piqu'ah nefesh (saving a life).

Eyal Yifrah (19), Naftali Frenkel (16), Gil'ad Sha'ar (16)

First, here is a sample of the opinions being thrown around as to why the boys were abducted in the first place.
The Yated Ne'eman newspaper "holds the government of Israel responsible for the kidnapping of three teenage boys...a direct result of the Israeli government’s effort to draft Hareidim into the army."

Rabbi Dov Lior (Qiryath Arba-Hevron) said Thursday that the abduction of Eyal Yifrah, Gil'ad Shayer and Naftali Frenkel "was God’s punishment for what he called “anti-religious” legislation pushed by the current Knesset, and for Israel’s stated willingness to abandon parts of Eretz Yisrael."

Mekubal Rabbi Yaakov Adas, "who is admitted to Shaare Zedek Medical Center, hinted on Friday night the kidnapping of the youths was due to President Shimon Peres taking part in a prayer service with Pope Frances and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) during his recent visit to the Vatican."
There were also statements of the obvious, that the Arabs are seeking to kidnap more Jews, in order to exchange them for more prisoner releases.
On a more direct, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu shlit"a (Tzfath) "accused the family of abducted soldier Gilad Schalit on Sunday of weakening Israel by appealing to the public’s sentiment in order to ratchet up pressure on the government for a prisoner swap."
Odd that no one mentioned anything about...
  • allowing heinous desecrations on the Temple Mount
  • allowing pork sales in Jerusalem
  • inviting avodah zarah into the Land, and helping it to dig its claws into it
  • I am sure that someone also blamed Israeli Gay Pride events. I just happened to miss these reports.
How is it that, in times of tragedy, no one ever seems to bring up what is explicitly mentioned in the Torah, if we fail to heed a few of its commandments in particular, removing these  perei adam (wild asses of men) from our midst...

Numbers 33
50 And the LORD spoke unto Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying: 51 'Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 52 then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their figured stones, and destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places. And you shall drive out the inhabitants of the land, and dwell in it; for to you have I given the land to possess it. 53 And you shall drive out the inhabitants of the land, and dwell within it; for to you have I given the land to possess it. 54 And ye shall inherit the land by lot according to your families--to the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance; wheresoever the lot fall to any man, that shall be his; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye inherit. 55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then shall those that ye let remain of them be as thorns in your eyes, and as pricks in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land in which you dwell. 56 And it shall come to pass, that as I thought to do unto them, so will I do to you.

Wouldn't want to be labeled a racist, would we? Even though the Torah makes no such distinctions here.

Well, now it is my turn to up the ante. Please allow me to bring you back down to earth, from the spiritual realms. Leave your guesswork to the Gedolim, and take a look at what is within your control, and that is following the halakhah.

Let me also preface this by stating very clearly where I personally place the blame,...on the Israeli religious educational system, and thus the the Israeli Government and its Statist "rabbis" who not only support, but collaborate with this system on a daily basis.

And of what exactly am I accusing the State and its puppets?

I am accusing them of teaching Torah against the halakhah. Well, it has already been forbidden to listen to anything Shlomo Aviner has to say regarding halakhah. But what about the other diehard, State loyalists?

The negative commandment of לא תחנם/Lo Techonem (Deut. 7:2) encompasses not saving them from danger and not providing them with any medical treatment, if at all possible.

Three categories, not providing the goyim with any foothold on the Land, not providing them with gifts, and not even saying anything nice about them are emphasized as keys points to preventing from violating misswath lo ta'aseh (negatively phrased Torah commandment). (Ramba"m, Laws of Avodah Zarah and the Laws of Goyim 10:1-9) Rabbi Shmu'el Eliyahu shlit"a of Tzfath warned us of this of this prohibition, and incurred the wrath of the Left, the Modern Orthodox, and of course, as you might suspect, the ADL.

So, to what degree are all of these groups complicit in these boys' murders?

How many of you would like to bet that this halakhah was never mentioned, despite its direct relevance to these boys' lives, or if it was, it was glossed over, qualified to prevent teachers from getting arrested, or said not to have any relevance in our current time and situation, e. g. before the coming of Mashi'ah.

If I am mistaken, and this halakhah was taught in their schools, its observance has been discouraged, no, fought tooth and nail by the co-dependent, desperately politically-correct Israeli Government, by compliant "rabbis" who prefer silence to the truth, and confused and naive parents, who without fail, pass on their confusion to the next generation.

And yet, eyewitness testimony at the trempiada (hitchhiking station) suggests that these boys were lurered into a Arab's car after "doing the nice thing" of helping him in the push-starting of his car

"Such nice things" are forbidden! But, how would they know that, with the current, anti-Torah educational system of the anti-Torah State of Israel?!

Jews often talk about using this approach to negotiate a peace settlement with our Arab enemies, show them that we are willing to work with them, do "nice things" for them, give them food and medical care,...and even help push start their engines.

NO! ENOUGH ALREADY!

How many more of our children must be murdered while we just sit here with faith in a useless, co-dependent government, and their equally useless ie. "rabbis" before we start following Torah Law instead of playing with it, crossing out what we do not like or otherwise distorting it?!

*********

According to the Ramba"m (Teshuvah 148), and the Beth Yosef and the [uncensored] Ba"H (Rabbi Yoel Sirkish) in their respective commentaries on the Tur, Lo Tehonem, ALL hold that the use of the term 'oved 'avodah zarah indicates a goy who does not keep the Seven Torah Commandments of B'nei No'ah.

The few lines of the Ba"H mentioned above were apparently never seen by Rabbi Avraham Yitzhaq Kook ztz"l nor Rabbi Ovadiah Yosef ztz"l.

What Can We Do to #BringBackOurBoys?

Eyal ben Iris Teshurah (19), Ya'aqov Naftali ben Rahel Devorah (16), Gil'ad Micha'el ben Bath Galim (16)
Multiple Choice Question:
Which of the following strategies will have the most chance of having the three captive Jewish boys Eyal, Ya'aqov Naftali, and Gil'ad Micha'el returned home safely and unharmed? (Check all that you believe apply.)

A. Prayer.

B. Prayer at a particular person's grave site.

C. Taking in Shabbath 15 minutes earlier than usual.

D. Lighting three extra Shabbath candles.

E. Women gathering in public to perform these misswah of hefresheth hallah (separating the hallah from the bread dough).

F. Learning certain portions of text in the merit of the boys' return.

G. Signing an on-line petition.

H. Attending a demonstration.
I. Starting an on-line #hashtag campaign.

J. Teshuvah (Repentance)

K. Taking appropriate actions against our enemies.*

L. A. and K.**

*Supposedly G., H. and I. are to encourage the Israeli Government to implement K. Ask yourself this question: When was the last time you actually saw these strategies do anything other than fool you into believing that you were doing something?

**Maybe J., as well, but quite honestly, perhaps The Almighty has other plans in store for us. We should all do teshuvah irregardless. If it takes the abduction of these boys to motivate us,...well,...then it is unfortunate that we have sunk to such a spiritual low, but so be it.

The correct answer is L.

In other words, this "sitting around" mentality, which has really only is nothing less that shirking our own responsibility, both for the abduction of these boys, and for their return. We are simply dumping it all on The Almighty.

This reminds me of the Ramba"m, who writes in his Igereth Hakhmei Marseilles (Letter to the Sages of Marseilles) that the Second Temple fell due to an over reliance on astrology [to fight against the Romans].

Traveling much farther back, Resh Lekish also suggests that we did not take the necessary action to defeat the Romans, mainly making aliyah when called by Ezra HaSofer, and thus taking proper possess of Our Land in the first place (TB Yoma 9b).

Those who chose B, C, D, E, or F, I feel compelled to ask you,...

"Why not just cast a frickin' spell already?!" (leHavdil)

I mean, for some you, ill-educated about the proper place for such practices, this is what you may eventually be led to do someday. There is a fine line between the types of magic which are permissible versus those types which are forbidden. May The Almighty keep the masses far away from such concepts!

However, what these seguloth DO have the power to do include...
1. To prevent Jews from violating Shabbath,  by calling attention to its proper beginning and ending times.

2. To encourage Jews to take an interest in keeping Shabbath, by reminding them that they are part of the greater community of Am Yisra'el.

3. ...including the lighting of Shabbath candles.

4. To educate women regarding the misswah of hefresheth hallah, its importance, and how to do it.

5. To encourage Torah learning.
Of course, the above sum up many components of teshuvah anyway.

Taking action, along with prayer, instead of laying it all at The Almighty's doorstep, is also a necessary component of teshuvah.

Let us hope that we will not have to learn this lesson the hard way again.
