What Is Happening Inside The Heads Of Jews In Exile?

English follows the Hebrew.

YNET: Outrage as Los Angeles synagogue hosting Muslim group covers up hostage posters
Conservative synagogue cancels lease to Muslim group after backlash from members, threats of mass departure; speaker at Ramadan event revealed to have supported Hamas' October 7 attack

Daniel Edelson, New York | March 13, 2024

A central Los Angeles synagogue leased its facility to a Muslim group for the holy month of Ramadan, covering up all posters of Israeli hostages taken by Hamas on October 7 hanging on its walls.

Photos of the covered posters circulated through the local Jewish community, stirring an uproar and prompting an emergency meeting on Tuesday by the synagogue administration after hundreds of members threatened to leave the congregation.

The synagogue reconsidered and canceled the contract with the Muslim organization, after it was also revealed that one of the speakers slated for the event compared Israel's actions in Gaza after October 7 to Nazi Germany.

The Conservative synagogue in Los Angeles, HAMAKOM (formerly Temple Aliyah), which also operates a community center, school and kindergarten, rented out its premises to a local Muslim organization, the Islamic Society of West Valley (ISWV), for a Ramadan event, and ordered the hostages' posters to be covered.

"The fact that they felt the need to hide posters of hostages to make terrorists and their supporters feel more what? Comfortable? says it all. They want to bow down to those who hate us instead of standing up loud and proud in support and defense of Israel," a local community member told Ynet.

Another member said the synagogue's management, "Shoot themselves in the foot. What's happening to our people? When did we reach the point where we need to hide pictures of the captives to respect the Muslim community? And to host Ramadan in the synagogue? How can they explain such a thing?" she wondered.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Revising a quote from one of this synagogue's members, What is happening to people... in galuth (exile)?

I can't decide.
  • Co-dependence on non-Jews for love and validation?
  • General galuth mentality?
  • Belief that the Jewish People is a nation like any other on this planet? (ie. globalism)
  • All of the above?
Of course, I understand the necessity of "getting along" with non-Jews, while remaining in the U. S. (I know so many of you do not want to hear it, but it's called exile.) I myself even had a Muslim friend in college, and Muslim acquaintances. Most were non-Arab. But, even wishing a Muslim Ramadan Mubarak (Blessed Ramadan) is problematic. Why would a Jew ever support or even condone anything which runs counter to Torah? Answer: Because such a Jew does not know any better.

Whatever disdain I have for the so-called Conservative Movement, I am not picking on its members, nor any of the members of this particular house of worship. There are more than a handful of Modern Orthodox and so-called Open Orthodox who have might been put in this same position.

Either the Jews in management exercised poor judgment or were too lazy to vet the the group and its speakers. For now, I will assume that the person in charge of executing the rental agreement did not know of the background of the group and speakers involved and did not go through with it anyway. That would be very bad, indeed.

However, I do criticize the leadership of the Conservative Movement. It is the movement's perspective regarding Torah, and its educational system, which have allowed the mentality of its Jewish members in the U. S. to get this far. The movement's view of the Torah and its educational system that allows the faith of the Jews in the US to reach this state of confusion between Judaism and the culture of the Western world. Pretending to make halakhic (Torah legal) decisions, once in a while admitting to calling them creative interpretations of the Oral Law, when in actuality, they are simply justifications for allowing their congregants to do what they want.

The good news is the outrage expressed here by some of this community's members. Until now, you may have noticed that I have been referring to these Jews as members of a community, rather than a synagogue. But actually, I do not mind the use the word "synagogue" here, since it is a Greek word, Greek as in Hellenist.

And if by chance anyone reading this feels condescended to, then, by all means, prove me wrong, and leave a comment below.

Israel's TALI Educational Program Isn't Really TALI

English follows the Hebrew.

The TALI Program (acronym: Enhanced Jewish Studies) is an educational program operated by the TALI Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and its goal is to strengthen Jewish studies in a pluralistic spirit within the daily life of state education. The Tal"i Foundation is affiliated with the Conservative Movement and is under the academic auspices of the Shechter Institute for Jewish Studies.

The program is an alternative to the normal state education system and the state-religious education system and aims to shape a broad-minded and humanistic personality whose world consists of both the layers of Jewish culture and the layers of general culture.

The beginning of the program in 1976, with the establishment of the first school in the French Hill in Jerusalem, under the management of Barbara Levin. Within a decade, frameworks were established in ten additional settlements in Israel. In 1987, the "Education Fund for TALI Schools", an organizational-educational body, was established, whose role is to provide financial and pedagogical assistance to the schools under its initiative. The program operates in approximately 300 schools and kindergartens in Israel.

The CEO of the Teli Foundation is Dr. Parry Sinclair. The program is involved in the Jewish Renewal Union.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Most schools in Israel begin on September 1, with many Haredi (ultra-orthodox) and strict religious Zionist schools beginning on the first of the Hebrew month of Elul.

Right from the beginning we see this "Enhanced Jewish Studies" educational program should more aptly be called "Conservative Movement Replacement Studies." Either way, I am sure the Erev Rav is quite happy to see it used as one of many preliminary steps it already has in place for the complete removal any Torah influence in the daily lives of Israelis, with the eventual goals of removing Torah from the Land of Israel completely.

Of course, I do not believe for a minute that these Jews, along with those who believe they are Jews or whom are safeq Jews (their status is in question), have any Their leadership is a completely different matter.

Jewish content and a Jewish Studies curriculum to Israeli children in secular public schools, where Jewish tradition was barely being taught.
TALI’s mission is to nurture a positive connection to Jewish heritage and values within the secular public school system.
TALI provides a platform and the vital pedagogic tools for pluralistic education essential to Israel’s identity and future as a Jewish and democratic state.
It seems to me that TALI has targeted Jews, weak and vulnerable in their Torah knowledge and observance. From last weak's Torah portion Ki Teitze...
״How he met you on the way, and smote the hindmost of you, all that were enfeebled in your rear, when you were faint and weary; and he feared not God." (Deut. 25:18)
No doubt their "enhanced" studies could also be attractive to all those non-Jewish children residing in Israel, thanks to the ridiculous "Law of Return," the [non-] Jewish Agency, foreign workers and refugees insurgents flowing into the Land.

TALI falls under Panim - The Association of Organizations of Israeli Judaism, "...an umbrella organization, containing dozens of organizations engaged in Jewish renewal, which was established in 1998."

What is the Jewish Renewal Union? Although the Conservative Movement in the U. S. might distance itself from the Jewish Renewal Movement in the U. S., Jewish Renewal is nevertheless code for distorting the Torah, and re-creating it according to their feelings and desires, then convincing Jews that their new interpretations of the Torah are legitimate Torah interpretations.
Panim Goals:
Encouraging and initiating cooperation between Jewish-Israeli organizations through round tables, professional conferences and professional training.
Development of online and physical platforms for marketing, advertising and amplifying the voice of the organizations in the public sphere in Israel and around the world.
Collecting data and making it accessible to policy makers and decision makers in the field of Israeli Judaism.
Making information accessible to the general public about communities, study programs, life rituals, events of the year cycle, and various products in the Israeli Jewish spirit.
Development of resources from new sources for joint projects of Israeli Jewish organizations.
These goals appear to be laid out in a very clever fashion, only revealing a hint to the organization's ulterior motives in the last line. Their intent to infiltrate the Israeli school system has already been established. So, let's take a look at its founding, as well as Panim's prominent members:
(Translated from above) Among the prominent organizations that are members of the union, we can name Kibbutz Beit Israel, TALI, Kulot, Memizrah Shemesh, the Center for Educational Technology, Alma Beit for Hebrew Culture, the Yaakov Herzog Center, Bina, Beit Tefila Israeli, Kerem Institute, Beit Perat, Neve Shechter, Meshiv The Spirit, Teva Hebrew, Shalom Hartman Institute, Women of the Wall, Beit Midrash Elul, the Reform Movement, Beit Avi Chai, Midrash HaShilov Netor, the Traditional Movement in Israel, Order of Reconciliation, Project 929, Mithar, Markam, Torah Faithful and Avoda, Hebrew Union College ', the Association for the Advancement of Education Jerusalem, Kolech, Gesher Educational Enterprises and the Schechter Institute.
I have highlighted a few:
Elul is the "secular yeshiva" founded by Dr. Ruth Calderon, who was also an MK in Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid Party.
The Traditional Movement is the Conservative Movement in Israel.
Hartman, feminist Kolekh, and Torah Faithful and Labor are technically Religious. However, I believe they are very close to the line. Well, those supporting females "rabbis" are over the line.
Project 929 was initiated from a proposal by MK Avi Vartzman of the [non-] Jewish Home Party. That's all that needs to be said about that project!

However, I really should not have list any of these questionable organizations, except for Women of the Wall. I do so only for emphasis.

Here is an example from the TALI website. I am certain I will be accused of taking any such examples out of context.
(Translated from above)
Hello, my name is Yoni and I live in Tel Aviv.
On weekdays, my parents limit our screen time and check how much time we watch TV, play on the computer or on the phone. On Shabbat they are much less strict... they allow us much longer screen time!
So, is this example from TALI's website there for the goal of helping Yoni's family and similar families to learn Torah and how to keep it and why is it important? And if so, keeping the Torah according to the Conservative Movement? Or is it to encourage the readers (parents) to accept and even justify for them different "customs of observing Shabbat"?

In conclusion, in my opinion, the TALI program is not really TALI. In other words, true "enhanced Jewish studies" are for the purpose of keeping Torah and mitzvot (its commandments).

The Non-Jewish Agency Strikes Again!

English follows the Hebrew.

Jewish Agency, If You Really Want to Help, Then Don't Help!"

YNET: Jewish Agency urges security for non-Orthodox worship at Western Wall
After Conservative and Reform worshipers were violently accosted by ultra-Orthodox Jews at the egalitarian section of the Western Wall, the Jewish Agency plans to discuss the situation with Israeli officials to 'make sure all Jews are welcomed'

i24NEWS | 07.14.22
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Although this report states that the ceremony and participants were targeted, the Hebrew version claims that the bar mitzvah himself was specifically targeted. (Yes, a "bar mitzvah" is, in fact a person, and not an event nor a verb...) Sure. It doesn't sound very nice, hearing about anyone yelling at a 13-year-old. Even if the bar mitzvah is consider an adult in some ways. Hmm... I wonder if his parents even know this. I wonder if his "spiritual teacher" knows this.

However, we should all know by now that anything reported by YNET... or HaAretz or Ma'ariv, etc. should be suspect. Even if their reporters occasionally mean well, this does not grant their articles immunity from the almighty editors.

But, I digress...

The real issue at hand is the elephant in the room no one wants to discuss. So, I will. How many of these so-called "Conservatives" around the world even Jewish still? And why is the so-called Jewish Agency defending organizations and people who are encouraging Jewish de-population and the ultimate destruction of the Jewish People through false conversions?

The Conservative Movement's path of destruction for us is slower that that of the Reform Movement, whose members are unknowing participants in the Second Holocaust. (May The Almighty grant them guidance! May The Almighty protect us!) Nevertheless...

I am not even bringing up everything else these people are doing to chip away at the Torah, one piece at a time, all for the sake of their Edomite (Western) feelings.

This is how Esau operated, following his feelings, doing whatever he wanted, and justifying it later on, if ever at all. His brother Jacob our forefather, on the other hand, did his best to do what The Almighty wanted.

Rabbi Arieh Hassid, the Conservative Movement Head and "officiant" of the ceremony in question was reported to say in Hebrew:
“Some people hate me. Who are willing to hurt me. Because my Judaism is different from their Judaism...”
No, Arieh. We don't hate you. We just hate what you are doing.

And no one is willing to hurt you because your Judaism is different from theirs. That's impossible. Because what you believe and what you are doing, simply put, is not Judaism.

Yizhar Hess, Executive Director of the Masorati (Conservative) Movement in Israel suggested that...
״...if they (the actions) had occurred anywhere else in the world, it would be called antisemitism." (TOI)
Yizhar, how could this be considered antiSemitic? The ceremony wasn't Jewish, just something which looked Jewish,... a little bit.

Not surprisingly, Israel's caretaker Prime Minister Yair Lapid issued a condemnation of the incident. While in France, he stated said that...
"Israel is the only [country] in the world where there is no religious freedom for Jews." (Haredi 10)
To caretaker Prime Minister Yair Lapid I pose the question, "Where in the Torah does it mention 'religious freedom for Jews?'"

Never mind. What do you care about what's mentioned in the Torah?

If the Jewish Agency want to criticize the approach and the activities of the Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) youth in question, then criticize. But if the Jewish Agency really operates for the sake of all Jews,  then its leaders must at least understand and accept the intention and frustrations of these Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) youth.

Personally, I am still not convinced that the Jewish Agency is truly working for the sake of all Jews.

You can read about just how much the [Non] Jewish Agency cares about Jews in "Jewish Agency, If You Really Want to Help, Then Don't Help!"

The Population War is not between the Jews and the Arabs

English follows the Hebrew.

One afternoon before Shabbat, and before the recent Israeli election re-do, upon returning from the beach, I went to a convenience store to buy some snacks for Shabbat. Some lady put her items for purchase at the cashier in front of me, while I was paying for my things. After I paid, I asked this woman, "Excuse me, but can I get my things? '

'Please do," she said. But she didn't move. The religious cashier immediately picked up on what was happening, and told me he would bring them to me.

I said to this lady, "You know. There's a lot like me ..."

She started to reply, before I has a chance to finish my sentence, "A lot? Yes, there are a lot of donkeys in Haifa, in Tel Aviv, in ... "

"Religious Jews," I said, now interrupting her mid-sentence. "Even in (our town's name)."

Then when I took what I bought and started walking away, she called out to me, "There are a lot of secular people in (our town's name)..."

I turned right around, and shot back, "With God's help, there eventually won't be any."

And why would I something like that to her? Because secular Israelis do not give birth to children like the Haredim (untra-Orthodox), Settlers, nor other Religious Zionist, even modern Orthodox families.

And so they are not producing nearly as many future voters which would allow them to hold onto power.

And so what do they do what they must do to fight against the threat of a Torah-observant majority.

They bring non-Jews with supposedly one grandfather to Israel. They fight against any change to the Jewish Law of Return, entitling anyone with at least one Jewish grandparent to settle in Israel.

They bring Christian Ethiopians to Israel, pretending that they are Jewish, and in spite of the objections of the truly Jewish Ethiopians.

They fight for the permanent residency status, if not full citizenship, for foreign workers.

They protest against the expulsion of the of the African infiltrators, despite their extensive criminal activity, even though there has been regime change in the Sudan at least. They will want them to receive citizenship too, eventually.

And they are not even so opposed to Christian evangelicals living here in the country because secular people know full well that once these religious rights of one group of people are banned, the rights of the Reform, the Conservatives, and finally the secularists will be the next targets of a future Torah-based government to ban.

Secular Israelis have invented a new identity, an Israeli identity, so we have both Jews and Israelis. In fact, former President Shimon Peres had already said such a thing to a journalist that he lost in the national elections of 1996 to Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud.

Secularists are afraid. They are afraid of the true source of Zionism, of our true identity. They are afraid of the Torah.

Their leaders want us to be assimilated among the nations of the world.

And so their fight is against the Torah.

The Western Wall's Blocked Compromise

YNET Op-Ed: A state denying its own people
Op-ed: The government took a historic agreement on the Western Wall and threw it in the faces of millions of Jews around the world. In an anti-Zionist move, it proved to its people—and to its enemies—that Israel is no longer the Jewish people’s state.
Yizhar Hess, 26.06.17
We made a mistake. We believed the government, we believed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, we believed that we must finally stop this quarrel between us over the Western Wall, and we accepted a compromise agreement. But the government’s decision on Sunday, a cynical—even vicious—decision, took this historic agreement and threw it in the faces of millions of Jews around the world, adding a slap.

Listen carefully, Jews of the diaspora: Not only will you have no share or claim to the Western Wall, but conversion in the Jewish state will be performed exclusively according to the Orthodox Judaism.
We made a mistake. We wanted to make Jerusalem a matter of consensus again, so that we Jews would finally stop fighting with each other over something that belongs to all of us. But we were deceived. The compromise agreement made us give up the right to pray in an egalitarian manner at the Western Wall that we know. We have been fighting for this for decades, but out of a sense of historical responsibility and—let’s admit it—the huge pressure we have been under, we acted against our natural instinct, and perhaps unwisely agreed to compromise. (cont.)

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
All you need are the first, few paragraphs of this op-ed. You can read the rest of the above rant -- which is completely devoid of anything even remotely Jewish -- if you really want. Or you can go do something more productive with your time.

Now, let's go through first, few paragraphs, step by step, shall we?
In an anti-Zionist move...
Anti-Zionist?

First of all, what is Zionism?

Zionism is the concept that the Jewish People has an inherent connection to Eretz Yisra'el (the Land of Israel), and that it is ours, and no one else's. The concept of Zionism originated where, you may ask? Hertzl? The United Nothings United Nations? The Balfour Agreement?

None of the above.

Zionism originates from The Holy One, Blessed Be He, who promised us this Land, and transmitted this promised to us through His Holy Torah, given to Moshe Rabbenu.

The Torah is also the only justification for the Jewish People's claim to the Land, not because we were here first. We weren't. The Canaanites were, and they The Almighty took it away from them. Any declaration or law created by humans, which allows, encourages, proclaims, or enforces the Jewish People's connection, to Eretz Yisra'el, and any claim it has to settle and reside here can be revoked by humans, just as easily as it was created.

And we are seeing this happen right before our eyes: the Oslo Death Accords, the establishment of the Pseudostinian Authority [PA], selling and giving away land to Christian groups, preparation for man-made borders with a "security" fence, etc.

In a nutshell, these people seem to want to equate Zionism with Democracy, or in the State of Israel's case, deMOCKracy. But, more democracy later....
Listen carefully, Jews of the diaspora...
Jews of the diaspora? As if they should have any say in the matter? Why on earth should they have a say? Furthermore, these people go off on democracy and being a nation like are the other nations. Yet if that is the case, why on earth should those of us actually living here (on the front lines) allow them to be involved? Because of their financial support money? (shohad/bribe)

Democracy, or in the State of Israel's case, deMOCKracy (Yeah, I know I said that already.) is a Greek system of governance, Greek as in Hellenist, as in the assimilated, Hellenist Jews we fought against, and defeated, in the war which culminated with the re-dedication of Beth HaMiqdash (the Temple), and the creation of the holiday of Hanukkah.

These Jews, or rather "Jews," are running scared,...they know that t
Because of sham conversions, acceptance of "patralineal descent," and even intermarriage according to their own definition, how many of these "liberal Jews" are even Jews to begin with?
Listen carefully, Jews of the diaspora: Not only will you have no share or claim to the Western Wall, but conversion in the Jewish state will be performed exclusively according to the Orthodox Judaism.
Conversions? One may not convert to Judaism through bodies which are not Jewish, and even if they were, their "judges" are disqualified from serving in such positions, due to their various distortions and denials of the Torah, primarily the Oral Torah, and other heretical beliefs, not to mention their gender. In the recent list released by Israel's Chief Rabbinate, of those individuals whose statements of "proof of Jewishness" are no longer accepted, women were conspicuously absent. Why? No need. It is already a given that they are disqualified from providing such eiduth (testimony).

If one wants to "convert" to "Conservativism" or "Reformism," by all means, let them. After all, these religions are not Judaism. So, what do I care? Unfortunately, the Israeli government, as well as the [non-]Jewish Agency, accepts paperwork from these groups' clergy for the purposes of nationality.

Orthodox Judaism? As if there were any other kind... I think he means Torah-observant Judaism, which is, of course, redundant.

Fill the land up with those who actually think they are Jewish, so as to battle against the Torah from within.

Tantrums win out.
We made a mistake. We wanted to make Jerusalem a matter of consensus again, so that we Jews would finally stop fighting with each other over something that belongs to all of us.
Well, you see that's the whole point, isn't it? Does it really belong to you? Yet, again, I have to ask, just how many of you are Jewish?

The Ramba"m goes a step further suggesting that even if you are all really of Jewish matrilineal descent, it doesn't matter. I'll let you look this one up yourselves (Mishneh Torah, Laws of Repentance 3:14-27). Oh, and don't forget to look it up in an uncensored version.

Of course, this is just talking about many of your "leaders." Most of you do not know

I'm sorry to hurt your egos. But, Judaism is all about asking questions. If you have been turned off by rabbis who do not answer your questions, or cannot even say "I don't know the answer, but I can research it," then continue your search for someone who can provide you with sources to support his view, and who will not make you feel stupid or embarrassed. If you have encountered rabbis who have done this to you, they you were right not to bother with them.

But, if you really believe that Judaism is your heritage, and not just some wall, you owe it to yourselves to continued you search.

But, I digress...

While we were still in Egypt, the Erev Rav (mixed-multitude/false converts) cried when they were told that we were journeying to Eretz Yisra'el. Why? Because not being from any tribe, they would not inherit. They did not feel any connection to the Land. And ever since then, their descendants have been causing us problems, one of which has been not only to forsake the Land, but actively chop it up and give it away. After all, what do they care?

Whereas true converts accept the Will of HaShem.
We made a mistake.
Yeah, you made a mistake alright. Besides not truly investing your time and energy, blood, sweat and tears by actually residing in Israel, by intermarrying -- including marrying those with sham conversions -- is that unlike the "ultra-orthodox" and "settlers," as you call us, you are not having enough children.

The Left saw this coming ages ago, and so has actively had to recruit goyim from the Former Soviet Union, airlift Christians from Ethiopia, grant special status to foreign workers, and facilitate the flow of infiltrators into Israel from Africa, in order to counterbalance the population growth of Torah-observant Jews.

But, this has still not been enough. Neither has the indoctrination into diehard State loyalty through the State's educational system and IDF service. While the religious mamlakhtim (diehard State loyalists) continue to throw their kippahs off during army service, the Haredim and few [real] "settlers" allowed into the IDF do not.

Be careful what you pray wish for. Because if you want democracy, then  you will have to live with the results consequences. Most of the Haredim and residents of Yehudah and Shomron (Judea and Samaria) -- the proper names of these communities -- commit the greatest crime of all.

We vote.

Oh, and by the way, when will you finally wake up to the fact that Arabs consider Tel-Aviv to be a settlement, just as much as Hevron or Beth-El?

I would say that it is only a matter of time before we vote you out of power. However, history has shown that anytime we start winning, while playing by the rules that is, you simply change the rules.

You see, you are right when you say that...
Israel is no longer the Jewish people’s state.
The State of Israel is not controlled by the Jewish People.

I don't count the fading Shabbos and Kashruth laws, and the Prime Minister occasionally donning a kippah and reading from the Tana"kh (The Bible). Does he really mean it? I mean REALLY mean it?

And so, I guess this will force us to wait a little longer...
For you to intermarry some more and assimilate out of existence.

For those of you in Israel, for you to run away to Europe or to the U. S., when the situation gets too tough for them.

Or for you to wake up finally, do teshuvah (repentance), and join us.
Unfortunately, I am not optimistic about seeing too many take this last opinion, and so I am not holding my breath.

My only consolation is that these people are fighting over the parking lot a wall of Har HaBayith (Temple Mount), and so they are too busy to concern themselves with Har HaBayith itself.

The Jewish Daily Backward

I received the following e-mail message from the Jewish Forward. Did you receive it, too?
Hi, A Conservative Rabbi is performing interfaith weddings, despite the Conservative movement's law against it. He knows that this decision risks his title as a Conservative Rabbi. Does this signify a shift in the Jewish community at large for dealing with intermarriages?

The conversation around intermarriage in the Jewish community is important, and one that I know is near and dear to your heart. The Forward wants to hear from the Jewish community. If you have stories, anecdotes, or memories that you would like to share and have published in the Forward, please send them to community@forward.com. Conversely, if you believe that accepting non-Jewish spouses is problematic for Jewish continuity, please tell us why - and share your stories, too.

Sincerely,

(Name Withheld)
The Forward, Social Media Intern

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Let's start from the beginning, shall we?
A Conservative Rabbi...
I'm just going to touch this one. It would take to long....
...is performing interfaith weddings, despite the Conservative movement's law against it.
About 18 years ago, I actually overheard a woman use the term "Conservative halakhah," halakhah being Torah Law. Most believe this to be an attempt to gain legitimacy as a Torah-based denomination of the religion known as Judaism. The reality is that this feeds the breaking down of a Jew's respect for Torah. Whereas the so-called "Reform Movement" originally rejected Torah sheb'al Peh (Oral Law), and later summarily decided -- according to Western feeling-based logic -- that halakhah was no longer binding, the Conservative Movement's strategy has been to encourage the belief that the Torah is as pliable as you want it to be. At least the Reconstructionists are intellectually honest, by applying the [ridiculous] rule that "The past has a vote, not a veto."

Is this statement by a Jewish Forward intern a mistake in composition? Or does the "Conservative Movement" really believe that its Committee on Laws and Standards really possess the same authority as the Sanhedrin (Highest Rabbinical Court)?

And by the way, the prohibition against intermarriage is Torah Law, not "Conservative Law,..." whatever that is anyway.
Does this signify a shift in the Jewish community at large for dealing with intermarriages?
Jewish community? How many of those members of "Conservative" communities are even Jewish? Sure, some of them are safeq (status in doubt). But, with all of those non-Jews duped into believing that they are Jewish, not to mention all those who went through this process just to get married.

But in this trend takes off, well there will be even less Jews identifying as "Conservative," because many of them will not actually be Jewish. That's for certain.

The "Conservative Movement" has already so the above announcement regarding "converting" students with Jewish fathers and non-Jewish mothers, who attend their schools. I still do not understand why. These children are not Jewish. End of discussion. How does giving these kids "conversions" helping anything, save for easing the Jewish father's guilt?

I know you're just "doin' your job." So,...

I wonder how many of them are even Jewish? Sure, some of them are safeq (status in doubt), but in this trend takes off, well there will be a lot less Jews identifying as "Conservative." That's for sure.

Let us not forget the non-kosher gittim (bills of divorcement), which are supervised by those who disqualified from doing so, and that is given the assumption that such individuals even bother to give a get. To clarify, if a proper divorce is not executed between a couple, they still considered married. If one of the couple "marries" another Jew without a proper divorce, any children resulting from the relationship are very likely to have the very problematic status of mamzer. Roughly translated as bastard, a mamzer is severely limited as to who he or she can marry according to halakhah. That's actually halakhah, and not the distorted, overly viable, and fake version some Jewish "leaders" are pushing.

The "Conservative Movement" isn't about the breaking down of a Jew's respect for Torah; it is about the breaking down of the Torah itself.

But, wait! The e-mail message continues...
The conversation around intermarriage in the Jewish community is important, and one that I know is near and dear to your heart. The Forward wants to hear from the Jewish community. If you have stories, anecdotes, or memories that you would like to share and have published in the Forward, please send them to community@forward.com.
If the conclusion of paragraph were cut off, it wouldn't sound so bad, would it? In fact, it would be quite appropriate to ask for readers' opinions regarding a particular topic. Now read on...

Conversely, if you believe that accepting non-Jewish spouses is problematic for Jewish continuity, please tell us why - and share your stories, too.

Clearly this reveals the Jewish Forward's opinion on the matter, and it is not the "against" opinion either.

This publication may considered to be "progressive," but with messages such as the one above, it is helping to move the Jewish People in another direction, and that direction isn't forward. This is why I believe the Jewish Forward should actually be called the Jewish Backward instead.

Conservative Synagogues Accept Non-Jewish Members

English follows the Hebrew.

Haaretz: In Unprecedented Move, U.S. Conservative Movement Allows non-Jewish Members
The head of Israel's affiliated movement applauds the decision as a 'moral, Jewish' solution to the problems of mixed couples.

Yair Ettinger Mar 07, 2017

For the first time ever, the umbrella organization of congregations affiliated with the Conservative movement of the United States is encouraging the acceptance of non-Jewish members. The decision, which is not binding and still allows every congregations to follow an independent policy, was passed a few days ago in an internet vote among congregations that belong to the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism General Assembly. (cont.)

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
There are ways of reaching out to Jewish mothers, married to non-Jews, and their children, without allowing a non-Jew to vote, and be called a member. Organizations have like Chabba"d have been doing this since time in memorial, recognizing the risk of losing such children to the oblivion of assimilation, and absence of any knowledge of their heritage.

The Schechter network of Conservative schools in the U.S. has for some time allowed its institutions to accept children who have only a Jewish father (in other words, are not Jewish according to halakha), as long as the children convert before reaching bar- or bat-mitzvah age.
As far as allowing children of Jewish fathers to attend Jewish schools goes, why let them? They are not Jewish, period.
According to a 2013 study by the Pew Research Center, 18 percent of American Jews consider themselves to be Conservative, at a time when the greater Jewish population is shrinking and some 22 percent of it defines themselves as having no religion.
Is the "Conservative" Movement losing ground? Is it desperate for members to fund its Torah distortion machine to keep it alive? Or is it finally admitting that it is a group of Jews  led by their feelings, rather than halakhah (Torah Law), like every other group of "progressive" Jews? For now, I assume that most of them still really are Jews.
It should be noted that the decision had already been approved by the executive committee of the UCSJ, before being brought up for ratification by the larger General Assembly electorate.
More evidence of the disregard of halakhah. Do they vote on what is or is not kosher, too?

And what about these "converts?" If their "conversions" were actually valid, what of these kids who "convert" falsely, due to outside pressures? They end up marrying real Jews, and may either lead them astray or produce non-Jewish children.

They are not solving the problem of intermarriage; they are only making it worse.

But, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I predict that this decision will carry over into the "Conservative Movement's" branches in Israel, otherwise know as the Masorati Movement (Heb.: traditional).

The left will hail the decision as a victory against racism (...for assimilation into the "progressive," globalist community).
“We celebrate the diversity among and within our kehillot [congregations] and encourage the engagement of all those who seek a spiritual and communal home in an authentic and dynamic Jewish setting,...”
A Jewish setting? Need I say more? OK, I will.
"...Let us strive to make the words of Isaiah a reality in our time: “My house will be called a house of prayer for all people” (Isaiah 56:7).”
No. This does not mean to bring goyim into our homes. (sigh) More distortions of the Torah, courtesy of the so-called "Conservative Movement."

The quasi-right will exploit this. It's Christian friends moneybags will obtain letters from such communities, stating that they are members in good standing. These letters will be used to assist them in gaining residency, if not citizenship (God forbid!) These letters will also assist them in enlisting as volunteers in the Israeli Defense Forces, which serves both as ammunition for future residency applications, as well as opportunities to share their faith missionize unsuspecting, and not terribly knowledgeable, 18-year-old soldiers Jewish kids.

Think this is farfetched? We have already seen several examples of missionizing in the IDF, and Christians getting away with it.

Even many, of not most, "Conservative" Jews know that "Reform Judaism" is not really Judaism.

Now, they will finally have to face the fact that neither is "Conservative Judaism."

The Designated Mixed Prayer Area at the Western Wall

YNET: Archeological council slams mixed-prayer area at Western Wall
The government's decision last January to expand the prayer area to include Conservative, Reform and mixed-gender prayer has raised the ire of archeologists who warn of great damage to a Jewish and world heritage site of primary importance.

Israel’s Archeological Council announced, in a letter that it sent on Monday to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that it greatly opposes what it called "the major damage to the archeological park at the foot of the Western Wall", the place where the government decided last January to establish an expanded prayer area for Conservative, Reform and mixed-gender worship.

“Recently a prayer and events area consisting of an additional 500 square meters has been established, as one can see when visiting the site; these stages cause great damage to the site's appearance, in the site’s visiting path and the ability to explain the site to visitors - they should be removed as soon as possible," they determined. "The current plans to add and multiply the amount of prayer stages will only cause more damage to the site."

The Western Wall
The harsh message followed a hearing that was held on the subject two weeks ago, and the hearing’s head, Prof. Roni Reich, explained that "this is a Jewish and world heritage site of primary importance. Preservation of the ruins is a prime archeological, public, educational and cultural duty."
The Archaeological Council explained that "the archaeological park at the southern tip of the Western Wall now extends over less than 60 meters of the total length of the Western Wall. Immediately after the reunification of Jerusalem in 1967, the area south of the Mughrabi Gate, known as Robinson’s Arch, was designated for uncovering and displaying the ruins of Jerusalem's past. This was done to distinguish it from the prayer area at the Western Wall. For decades Prof. Benjamin Mazar and others excavated here, and found very well preserved impressive artifacts from the Second Temple period."

Professor Mazar explainsed that "the highlight here is the entirely preserved cobblestone street along the Western Wall, flanked by shops that served the pilgrims to the Temple Mount. On the street and the shops a landslide of huge blocks of the Wall that was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD were revealed." (cont.)

The report concludes with...
“This is the only place you can see and can touch the remains of the destruction that befell the people of Israel, which is commemorated with the yearly fast on Tisha B'Av. The remains of this landslide have immense educational and historical value. "
How apropos. The area designated for "Conservative, Reform and mixed-gender worship" is "the only place you can see and can touch the remains of the destruction that befell the people of Israel."

It is no coincidence that a location, filled with evidence of Israel's past, physical and spiritual downfall, was chosen as a`"worship" site for those posing the greatest threat of a repetition of this history.
