ראש החטיבה היהודית בשב"כ כינה חשודים ביהודה ושומרון "שמוקים", ואמר כי עוצרים אותם "גם בלי ראיות" לכמה ימים, לפי הקלטה שפורסמה הערב (שבת) בחדשות "כאן". בתגובה להקלטה, לשכת ראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו תקפה בחריפות את השב"כ, בצל ההתנגשות בין נתניהו לרונן בר, ראש השירות המודח, שעניין פיטוריו יגיע בשבוע הקרוב לפתחו של בג"ץ.
"רק במשטרים אפלים השירות החשאי פועל באופן המסוכן הזה. בישראל לא תהיה ממשלת צללים אפלה בתוך המדינה", תקפה לשכת נתניהו.
ראש החטיבה היהודית בשב"כ נשמע מתבטא בחריפות נגד חשודים בפעולות אלימות ביהודה ושומרון, ובין היתר קובע כי לעיתים נעצרים גם ללא ראיות. בשיחה אמר: "אנחנו תמיד רוצים לעצור אותם לחקירה, כמה שיותר. אנחנו עוצרים את ה'שמוקים' האלה גם בלי ראיות לכמה ימים".

...בתגובה לסרטון, לשכת ראש הממשלה פרסמה כאמור הודעה: "ההקלטה המזעזעת של ראש המחלקה היהודית בשב"כ היא סכנה ממשית לדמוקרטיה. לאור הקלטה חמורה זו, ראש הממשלה ידרוש בדיקה יסודית של פעילות המחלקה היהודית בשב"כ. לא ייתכן שבמדינת חוק יעצרו את אזרחי המדינה ללא ראיות ויכניסו אותם לתנאי מעצר באופן לא חוקי ואכזרי. רק במשטרים אפלים השירות החשאי פועל באופן המסוכן הזה. בישראל לא תהיה ממשלת צללים אפלה בתוך המדינה".
שר האוצר בצלאל סמוטריץ' תקף גם הוא: "במשך שנים אנחנו זועקים נגד השימוש בסמכויות השב"כ הדרקוניות נגד המתיישבים בצורה לא דמוקרטית, לא שוויונית, לא חוקית, ולא חוקתית. ההקלטות מוכיחות שחור על גבי לבן את עבריינות המחלקה היהודית בשב"כ ואת צביעות מערכת המשפט הישראלית שמחפה על שקריה ומאשרת את פעולותיה לאורך השנים. מתיישבי יהודה ושומרון אינם אזרחים סוג ב'".
הוא קרא לפטר את ראש המחלקה היהודית "עוד הלילה", ודרש לקחת אותו לחקירה ולהעמידו לדין. "כמוהו גם רונן בר, שגרם וממשיך לגרום לארגון נזקים מטורפים ושוחק עד דק את אמון הציבור בו. שירות הביטחון הכללי הוא גוף קריטי לביטחון ישראל אבל הוא זקוק לניקוי אורוות ולתיקון דחוף"....
שטויות!
זה לא חדש בכלל. שנים מתנחלים [אמיתיים] מתלוננים על החטיבה היהודית בשב״כ, על המוסר הכפול כלפיהם, כגון פגיע בזכות להליך הוגן, כולל חוסר גישה לעו״ד, מניעת שינה ועוד עינויים.
רה״מ בנימין נתניהו יודע על התלונות הללו. ב-2015 הוא תמך בשב״כ למרות להאשמות בעינויים, כולל האשמות בהטרדה מינית שהופנתה כלפי עצורים.
איפה היה בצלאל סמוטריץ' (הציונות הדתית) כל הזמן הזה? ביישוב קדומים. למרות שקדומים ממוקמת בשומרון, ישוב זה נמצא בצד הבטוח של מה שנקרא גדר הביטחון, בטוחה כמה שאפשר מפירוק וגירוש. השב״כ רק רודפת אחר מתנחלים לא נאמני המדינה לגמרי אלא מאמינים לתורה קודמת לחוקי המדינה. נכון?
רוב תושבי קדומים אם לא הכל נאמני המדינה, כלומר מתנהגים יפה בעיני הממשלה. יש לצבי סוכות, חבר ממפלגתו של סמוטריץ', הרבה ניסיון בידי החטיבה היהודית של השב״כ. אני מקווה ש סמוטריץ' מספיק חכם כדי להתייעץ איתו לפני שהוא מעמיד פנים שזו פעם הראשונה שהוא שומע על פעילות שב״כ כזו.
בני גנץ, יו״ר מפלגת המחנה הממלכתי ששמה המתאים מאוד, הצטרף לבעלי הדעה הצוברת תמיכה נגד השב״כ. אני מעז בפניו כדי להגיד לנו שהוא לא מאמין שקנאי התורה האלה כגון נוער הגבעות לא צריכים להכלא.
לא נראה שגנץ זוכה לפרסום רב במיוחד לאחרונה. הוא צריך להתחיל מסע לבחירות בגלל האיום של חזרה אפשרית לפוליטיקה מצד ראש הממשלה לשעבר נפתלי בנט.
יוסי דגן, יו"ר מועצת שומרון, פעל בלחימה נגד גירוש יהודים של מעזה וצפון השומרון בשנת תשס"ה/2005. אבל עד כמה יעילה הפעילות שלו במאבק נגד מעצרם של בוחריו על ידי השב״כ?

היום האורח של דגן הוא מנהיג כנסייה ענקית ושליחות, לארי האץ'. הוך מוכר כאחד מעשרת המנהיגים האוונגליסטים המשפיעים ביותר בארצות הברית ואיש אמונו הקרוב של הנשיא טראמפ (חדשות ערוץ 14). הקשרים של דגן לנוצרים מתועדים היטב. מה הקשר לנושא? אישית אני לא סומך ביהודים כאלה.
מניעת הגנת המתנחלים הייתה מטרה ארוכת שנים של השב״כ. אבל, לא רק השב״כ, אלא גם הממשלה עצמה. אני זוכר שבסביבת שנת 2007, יותר ויותר ישובים בשומרון שכרו חברות אבטחה פרטיות לשמירת הישוב במקום לחייב את התושבים לעשות שירות למספר שעות בחודש. חברות אלו שמחו להעסיק תושבים מנוסים לעבוד עבורן. אבל היה מלכוד. לא התירו תושבים לעבוד בישובים היכן גרים, אלא רק בישובים אחרים.
איזה סיוט יהיה לממשלה ולצה"ל אם (מתי?) הם ינסו לפרק עוד התנחלויות ולגרש עוד יהודים מבתיהם בעתיד! אילו השומרים על הישובים שלהם יתנו לכוחות להכנס לישוב ללא מאבק? לא נראה לי.
כמה זמן לאחר שארז רונד הי"ד בן ה-17 מעופרה נורה ונרצח בואדי חרמיה שנמצא בין עפרה לשילה, חיילי צה"ל הגיעו להגן על המתנחלים בזמן האזכרה. הבדיחה הלא כל כך מצחיקה היא שחיילי צה"ל לא התיצבו שם כדי להגן על היהודים אלא להגן הערבים מנקמת המתנחלים.
הממשלה לא היתה מוכנה להסתכן, אפילו עם תושבי עפרה שהם נאמני המדינה, כלומר ילדים מתנהגים יפה.
נראה לי שהסיבה היחידה שמישהו שם לב להקלטה הזו, ושהיא התגלתה בקסם, היא כדי לאסוף מידע רה״מ נתניהו וממשלתו יוכלו להשיג את מטרתם לגבי גורלו של ראש השב״כ רונן בר.
כמובן, כל זה לא משנה.
[גלי] בהרב-מיארה פנתה במכתב לראש הממשלה בו כתבה כי ראש השב"כ הוא שיטפל בראש החטיבה היהודית בארגון • זאת בניגוד להודעת לשכת רה"מ מוקדם יותר, שבה נכתב כי ראש השב"כ מנוע מלטפל במקרה בשל מעורבותו בו • בהרב-מיארה ציינה במכתבה כי "הודעתך מבקשת לרוקן מתוכן את ההחלטה השיפוטית" (ישראל הי!ם)השלטון של רה״מ סירוס על ידי המערכת השיפוטית.

Leaked recording of a Shin Bet official admitting to unlawful arrests and degrading treatment of Jewish West Bank suspects ignites political chaos, with Netanyahu’s office accusing the agency of rogue conduct

A senior Shin Bet official was recorded calling Jewish West Bank suspects “jerks” and admitting they’re sometimes arrested “even without evidence,” according to an audio clip aired Saturday night by Israel’s public broadcaster Kan.
The official, head of the Shin Bet’s Jewish Division, was heard discussing arrests of suspected Jewish extremists and saying: “We always want to arrest them for interrogation, as much as we can. We hold these jerks even without evidence, for a few days.” He also reportedly said suspects should be placed “in detention cells with rats.”
The remarks triggered an immediate backlash from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, which called the comments a “real threat to democracy” and accused the Shin Bet of acting like a rogue intelligence agency. “Only in dark regimes does the secret service act this dangerously. There will not be a shadow government in Israel,” the statement read.
The controversy comes amid a deepening rift between Netanyahu and Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, who is currently facing dismissal. The matter is expected to reach Israel’s High Court in the coming days.
During the conversation, the Shin Bet official discussed tactics with Israel Police Central District commander Avishai Moalem, who is himself at the center of a bribery probe. When Moalem cautioned that “they’ll tear us apart over this,” the official responded: “The Shin Bet chief’s office is dealing with it, along with the defense minister.”
The two also discussed operational steps, with the official suggesting: “You should have caught them in a car. Maybe they had flammable materials, maybe they smelled like gasoline.” When Moalem asked if they should just detain them without cause, the official replied: “We’ve been down this road before. So why aren’t there any arrests?”
He also attacked the IDF, saying: “The army doesn’t know anything. It’s not an army, it’s a joke. It’s militias. It’s the settlers themselves.” Following the report, Moalem was placed on forced leave.
In response, Netanyahu’s office issued a second statement calling for an investigation into the Jewish Division. “The disturbing recording poses a real threat to democracy. Citizens cannot be arrested without evidence and placed in illegal, inhumane conditions," the statement from the prime minister's office said.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich echoed the criticism. “For years we’ve warned about the Shin Bet’s draconian powers being used undemocratically and illegally against settlers. These recordings prove the criminality of the Jewish Division and the hypocrisy of the Israeli legal system, which has covered for its lies,” Smotrich said.
He demanded the division head’s immediate firing and prosecution. “The same goes for Ronen Bar, who’s causing massive damage to the agency and eroding public trust. The Shin Bet is vital to national security but it needs urgent reform,” he said...
...National Unity party leader Benny Gantz also condemned the comments, saying that “protecting detainees’ rights is a cornerstone of any democracy” and called for a full investigation. However, he criticized Netanyahu’s response as incitement. “The prime minister’s campaign against the Shin Bet and its agents is dangerous and damages national security,” Gantz said....
I am calling shenanigans!
This is simply not news. [Real] settlers have been complaining about the Shabbak Jewish Division for years, its unfair treatment, like of due process, including lack of access to counsel, and torture, including, but not limited to, sleep deprivation.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has known about these complaints. In 2015, he backed up the Shabbak against accusations of torture, including accusations of sexual molestation directed toward those being held.
Where has Betzalel Smotrich (Religious Zionism) been all this time? In the town of Qedumim. Although Qedumim is located in Samaria, this town is on the safe side of the so-called security fence, safe as in safe from dismantlement and expulsion. After all, doesn't the Shabbak just go after the naught settlers, the ones who believe that Torah law takes precedence over State law, when in conflict?
Qedumim is primarily made of up well-behaved, State loyalists. One of Smotrich's own party, Zvi Sukkot, has had plenty of experience in the hands of the Shabbak's Jewish division. I hope that he was smart enough to confirm with him, before pretending like this is the first he has ever heard of such things.
Benny Gantz, leader of the aptly named Mamlakhti Camp Party, has got some nerve jumping on the anti-Shabbak bandwagon. I defy him to tell us that does not believe that these "Torah fanatics do not need to be locked up.
It seems that Gantz has not received very much publicity lately, and has to start campaigning with the threat of a potential return to politics by former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.
Although Yossi Dagan, Chair of the Samaria Council was active in fighting against the תשס״ה/2005 Expulsion of Jews from Gaza and the Northern Samaria, how effective how has he been in battling against the detaining of his constituents?
The photo of Dagan (above) with known Evangelical Christian supporter Rabbi Eliezer Melamed of Brakhah, and the President of the State of Israel Yitzhak "Bougie" Herzog, former Labor Party leader, and another who has hobnobbed with Christians, is from an official visit to Samaria, August, 2021. Of course, Dagan had to be there. I cannot say if anything could or should be inferred from this photo. But I will just leave it here anyway.
His current guest is mega-church and ministry leader Larry Huch. Huch is recognized as one of the 10 most influential Evangelical leaders in the United States and a close confidant of President Trump (Channel 14 News). I believe that we can infer something from that. Dagan's connections to Christians is well-documented. What's the point of mentioning all this about Dagan? Oh, I just don't trust Jews slobber over Christians.
Preventing the settlers from defending themselves has been a longstanding objective of the Shabbak. But, not only the Shabbak, but the government. In 2007 or so, I recall that more and more Jewish towns were hiring private security firms to protect them, instead of the longtime practice of residents committing to a certain number of hours of guard duty per month. These firms were happy to hire experienced residents to work for them. But there was a catch. Residents were not allowed to be stationed in their own towns, rather only in other towns.
Just imagine what a nightmare it would be for the government and IDF if (when?) they try to dismantle more settlements and expel more Jews inthe future, if those guarding the towns were residents, motivated by the protection of their own and neighbors' homes.
Sometime after 17-year-old Erez Rund hy"d of Ofra was shot and killed in תשס״ב/2002 in Wadi Kharamiya, between Ofra and Shilo, a memorial was held there. IDF troops were called in to protect the settlers during the memorial. The not so funny joke at that time was that the IDF soldiers were not there to protect the Jews, but instead to protect the Arabs in the area.
The government was not going to take any chances, even with the grieving, yet well-behaved, State loyalist residents of Ofra.
It seems to me that the only reason anyone is taking notice of this recording, and that it was magically discovered in the first place, is to build up ammunation, so that Prime Minister Netanyahu and his government can get their wishes regarding the fate of Shabbak Chief Ronen Bar.
Of course, none of this at all matters.
