Is the Detention of Israeli Documentary Film Maker Retribution?

English translations immediately follow each source in Hebrew. Commentary in English found below.

Igal Malka:
Tonight the Shin Bet (Shabbak / General Security Services) publishes a response to the criticism of the arrest of Avraham Shapira who made a film criticizing the Shin Bet. Its main points are:
1. Shapiro is violent and extreme blah blah blah - this statement has no legal validity. Violence is throwing sand at a government minister.*

2. Shapira was interrogated on suspicion of the terrorist incidents in the village of Jatt - the village of Jatt is a village of terrorists, if anyone should be arrested regarding the village, then these are its residents.

3. In the events of Kfar Jatt, IDF forces rescued residents from the flames of their burning houses - it is not clear what the connection of this story is to Shapira, but if we start, where were these forces when they were needed in Kfar Gaza on 7.10?

4. In the absence of a criminal alternative, it was decided on his administrative arrest - this trial alone testifies to about a thousand witnesses that there is not even a shred of evidence for any criminal charge against Shapira, and even now no one really dares to accuse him of responsibility for "terrorism"

5. The district court confirmed the arrest.

It must be noted that sections 4 and 5 contradict each other in a substantial and unreasonable manner. The role of a court is to judge according to law. There is or is no evidence point.

The fact that a court approves an administrative arrest because there is no evidence to carry out an arrest according to the law, means that the court serves as a rubber stamp for carrying out arrests that it itself cannot justify the legality of.

This story unequivocally and unambiguously clarifies that people who scream "democracy" in Kaplan** and remain silent in the face of gagging, are either a mindlessly ignorant mob that doesn't understand what they are protesting about, or a gang of corrupt people with no basic morals, or both.
Here is a clip from the Shapira's documentary:

In recent days Avraham Shapira, an acclaimed documentary director, has been in administrative detention under the auspices of the Shin Bet (Shabbak / General Security Services), just because he did what he does best - uncovering the truth.

Avraham has recently been working on a documentary called "The Shin Bet Knew" which is going to publicize the failures of the Shin Bet and its methods in the 1990s, which of course the members from above did not like... (see the continuation below from Giladi Ovadiah)

Avraham Shapira

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Anyone who is unable to connect the dots here is really far gone. Avraham Shapira just happens to be put into administrative detention by the Shabbak (Shin Bet / General Security Services), as he continues his work on a documentary film about the Shabbak ?

We're supposed to believe that? We're supposed to believe all of the allegations leveled against Shapira, from a government agency with the power to hold a citizen without access to counsel, or for that matter access to anyone, for two weeks, and then get a rubber-stamped six month extension from the courts?

The Shabbak is so secret that agents testifying in court wear masks to protect their identities.

Oh, and by the way, Avraham Shapira is from none other than the town of Yitzhar in Samaria, the bane of the secular Israeli Government's existence.

*The Kaplan Group began as the anti-Judicial Reform protesters, which seemed to pop up overnight with unlimited funding. They have since shifted to pushing for a disastrous ceasefire deal with Hamas, coopting families of hostages, but still focusing on bringing down Netanyahu's government any way they can.

**The comment about throwing sand at a government minister refers to the recent incident, in which a woman who threw sand Internal Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, without any reprocussions, in other words, an example of the double standards applied to friends of the powers that be, and those who oppose them.

President Joe Biden

Jewish Press: Biden Sanctions More Israelis
News Desk - 25 Av 5784 – August 28, 2024

The US State Department announced on Wednesday additional sanctions against more Israelis. The US is imposing sanctions on Hashomer Yosh (Guardians of Judea and Samaria), an Israeli nongovernmental organization that provides support and protection to farms in Judea and Samaria, and specifically the Meitarim Farm, located near Hebron.

It is also sanctioning Yitzhak Levi Filant, the Ravshatz (civilian security coordinator) of the town of Yitzhar in Samaria. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
1947 UN Partition Plan
For years, I have been writing about Yitzhar and similar ideolgically-based towns, and how the State of Israel views them as existential threats, beginning with Yitzhar: The Israeli Government's Jewish Expulsion Laboratory in 2009.

Over the past several months, we have witnessed the U. S. government become increasingly involved in micromanaging Israel's affairs, and that includes dealing with the threats to allies of the U. S. in the Israeli government.

Increasingly, you ask? Yes. Increasingly. The U. S. has been meddling in Israeli affairs since the U. S. State Dept. recommended against President Truman's recognition of an independent State of Israel.

Government agencies -- the people who run them -- do not like it, when they do not get their way. A perfect example is the United Nations [UN] not getting the partition plan it wanted with Jerusalem being an international city, one of the most important milestones in the globalist enterprise. Having it solely in Jewish hands would be too much of a threat to them. Muslims (Ishmael) and Christians (Esau) fighting over it, less so.

The UN did not like not getting its way. So, ever since then it has been working toward its ultimate goal of control in the region, maybe leaving a token sliver of Israel for Jews. They would certainly never even allow us the original territory it intended for us. In the eyes of the UN, Israel Jews need to be made an example of.

Like the UN, the U. S. State Department also does not like not getting its way.

Am I seriously the only one who sees the pattern here? Just because the U. S. has mostly failed so far, does not mean that they will not keep trying. Democrat or Republican administration, the only difference is in the approach.

I stand by my theory from 2005, that the next major expulsion of Jews from Judea and Samaria will be at the hands of foreign troops. Demonizing the Torah-committed settlers in the leftist-controled, mainstream media will not be enough to support submitting IDF soldiers to the trauma of throwing Jewish out of their homes, like they went threw in תשס״ה/2005 in Gaza.

Israel will need the help of the U. S., perhaps even to use the U. S. as a scapegoat. The U. S. will be happy to oblige, seeing this kind of settler as obstacles to peace its ultimate objectives.

Sanctions are only the first stage.

14 Now: only in Israel: full house arrest and ban on talking to friends for a 14-year-old boy
In the last day, the General of the Central Command signed an extraordinary administrative order for a boy of only 14 years old, ordering him to remain under full house arrest at his parents' house in addition to the prohibition of contact with 20 of his close friends.

Received an administrative order today (!!) from Central Command General Avi Bluth ordering him to be under full house arrest! for two months. why? Because Bluth and the Shabbak (General Security Service).

No evidence, no trial, nothing. Rubber stamp.

Of course, no leftist will ever receive such an order, not even the great anarchists who have been trolling the system for years.

Not even Bedouins and Arabs who are involved in serious crime, certainly not the children of infiltrators who ruin life in Tel Aviv. And they're not just the children of criminals.

But settlers? Second class citizens. They suddenly need the Shabbak, administrative orders. Very reasonable overall.

Israeli Government Goes After Jews During Wartime

Anniversary of Rachel's death.
English follows the Hebrew.
This makes me tremble all over. Masked members of the Jewish section of the Shin Bet (General Security Service - Shabbak) arrived now, along with police officers of the Jewish Border Police, and surrounded the house of a neighbor from Yitzhar, the former commander of the on-call security unit, who has been involved in defense here since the outbreak of the war and hardly sleeps at night. They actually entered his house and started giving him a warning about the defense training they are doing. Neighbors came out.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Once again, the Israeli government reminds us who it thinks is the biggest threat to its existence: those Religious Jews who believe that "Torah law take precedence over man-made law," including those laws of the State of Israel which contradict the Torah.

What is this Jew's crime? Training his neighbors in self-defense?

Right. Jews are not allowed to defend themselves and their land. Not in Yitzhar against Arab terrorists, not in the Negev against Bedouin thieves, and not in the towns surrounding Gaza.

The Israeli government has been targeting Yitzhar for years, believing that if it manages in taking Yitzhar down, it will be a tremendous blow to the morale of all Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria. Thus it will be much easier to dismantle them, when the time comes.

Rather, it is permissible for Erev Rav (false converts who left with us from Egypt, Ex. 12:38) descendants and those like a tinoq shenishbah (Jew raised from childhood by non-Jews, ie. doesn't know any better) to attack Jews in the middle of Yom Kippur prayers in Tel Aviv and Givatayim.

While we battle Ishmael for our physical lives, and against Esau for our spiritual lives and land, we must not ignore those who have been trying to destroy us from within.

Are the Residents of Yitzhar in Samaria Racist?

English follows the Hebrew.

JPost: Yitzhar protest sign banning Arabs draws racism charges
The sign appeared after a dispute with the army over the entry of Palestinians to the settlement.
Tovah Lazaroff, October 13, 2020 (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Most of you know that I can't stand to cite the Jerusalem Palestinian and Christian Post. The title of the cited report is one of the reasons why. How does this sign (above) indicate any "ban" on Arabs? The sign does not suggest any ban on Arabs in the area whatsoever. Perhaps Tovah Lazaroff needs to take a grammar review course.

Leftist and quasi-right-wing Jews claim that the sign is evidence of racism. How does this sign suggest racism? To me the sign only seems to suggest a concern for Arabs' safety. If the residents of Yitzhar wanted the opportunities to act-out any racist ideals, then they wouldn't have put up any sign, or better yet, they wouldn't have put up an "Arabs Welcome" sign.

Now look at the sign (right) erected by the Israeli Government all over Yehudah and Shomron (Judea and Samaria), and the law of said government stated very clearly in said sign.

"Dangerous to Your Lives" Whose lives? Jews' lives. Now, how is this sign any more racist than the sign to the entrance of Yitzhar?

It's not. Neither sign is racist. They are simply stating facts, based on experience.

In fact, Israel's Defense Ministry released an instructional video (above) for Jews on how to prevent carjackings, or worse. You do not have to understand Hebrew, in order to understand what is happening in the video. The first demonstration is what not to do when in an apparent accident; the second is what to do.

Ironically,...
"Gadi Gvaryahu, head of the left-wing Tag Meir organization, was carjacked by a group of Palestinian Authority Arabs on Monday while driving in Samaria." (Aryeh Savir, Tazpit News Agency via The Jewish Press).

The report continues...
"If Gvaryahu had been familiar with the following instruction video with Noam Jacobson (above), perhaps he could have avoided the incident."

It is also very tragic that a similar video was not released six years ago, and shown to teenagers. Had Eyal, Naftali, and Gil'ad hy"d (above photo) not come to the aid of the Arab sent to trick them into getting into his car, then they might still be with us.

The Jewish Voice: High school students from Rishon Le'Tzion were brought in for "vacation work" (to destroy Jewish homes)

30 Menachem Av 5777 / August 22, 2017
Avigdor
Lieberman
Gallery: Hundreds of policemen demolished houses overnight and confiscated containers in Yitzhar, using heavy violence. After a determined struggle, part of the evacuation target was not carried out. "Lieberman the hero dares to throw a woman in her ninth month of pregnancy out of her home in the middle of the night," said in Yitzhar.

A large number of both Israeli military and police forces arrived in the settlement of Yitzhar in the Shomron (Samaria) tonight to demolish two homes in the Kumi Uri neighborhood in the southern part of the town. Hundreds of policemen marched by foot from the village of Urif. At the same time, an additional force arrived accompanied by heavy equipment from the town's entrance, and began clearing out two locations, one in the Kumi Uri neighborhood and five shipping containers in the town itself.

In the Kumi Uri neighborhood, the soldiers and police began demolishing the homes of two young families, one of the women at the end of her ninth month of pregnancy. After many hours, the forces left the settlement without demolishing the houses completely, after many Yitzhar residents arrived to protest the families' expulsion.

Residents blocked access roads, and some of them managed to block one of the families' doors with boards, the police then having to take a long time to clear them. In addition, the police tried to enter the area with a backhoe and truck, but could not reach the houses. (a lot of good that did!) (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
I have already written about the town of Yitzhar being a target of the Israeli Government, as it is one of the most ideologically oriented towns in the Yehudah and Shomron (Judea and Samaria). Once the government succeeds in taking down Yitzhar, the rest of the towns in the area will be much more likely to get up, and go quietly, as it were.

Police brutality was also reported during this incident, and was said to include blows to to the groin (Interesting to think of the possibility that police officers were attacking the brith milah). Yitzhar residents were also prevented from getting to morning prayers and to work on time, due to road closures ordered by Shomron Brigade commander Gilad Amit. Any Jews still surprised by such incidents have simply not been paying attention,...or perhaps, do not want to pay attention.

Worse yet, many of the "religious" diehard State loyalists (mamlákhtim) still talk about how "those settlers" are different from "us well-behaved settlers." And they dare talk of "Jewish unity."
Gilad Amit
Shomron Command
"The police violence and the cynical exploitation of innocent youths for the expulsion and destruction of settler homes are shouting to the heavens," Yitzhar said this morning. "Lieberman and the Civil Administration do not dare demolish it with thousands of illegal Arab homes, but they have no problem throwing young families out of their homes in the middle of the night, shame and disgrace."
Countless surveys have been taken over the years to determine who is the "average Israeli." These surveys, often carried out by bias leftists, still always manage to come up with the same results. The "average Israeli" is right of center, religious or traditional and does not want the government to give up any land. So, why does the government never seem to do what its constituents want? And why do we continue to vote such governments into power?

The civil war that so many like to talk about is not coming; it is here, it has been here for years now, and it has been encouraged by the Israeli Government itself.

How else will they being able to remove settlements, beginning with Yitzhar, without a shift in public opinion? They won't be able to.

And so, the Israeli government continues to demonize Torah and those who follow it, attempting to replace Torah with diehard State loyalty.
Many of the youth who found themselves in a difficult situation refused to take part in the event, and the equipment remained on the ground.
Since many of these kids refused to participate in this action, there is still hope.

Israel's Answer to Arab Terror: Lock Jews Up in Cages!

Attack after attack, this is what the State of Israel comes up with as a solution to Arab terror?

NO ONE should be surprised. This is only going to get worse.

Mamlakhtim (die-hard State loyalists), do you still trust your precious government?

Arutz 7: As Arab Terror Surges, Jews Expelled from Samaria
Thirty people receive administrative distancing orders in one week - just as Palestinian Arab terror erupts nationwide.

Menachem Schwartz, 10/7/2015

Efi Haikin
The police and the Israel Security Agency (ISA or Shin Bet) are continuing to sentence right-wing activists in Judea-Samaria to administrative distancing orders, the Honenu legal rights organization reports Wednesday - just as Arab terror escalates in the area.

Efi Chaikin, a 24 year-old father of two and a Yitzhar resident, was given a restraining order forbidding him to contact some 29 people on Wednesday, after the ISA and police arrested him at the Rehelim intersection near Ariel.

In addition, he was banned from Samaria for one year, and sentenced to house arrest well away from his home for six months. He is required to report on his new residence within the next 48 hours.

Five additional men from the area have also been placed on administrative detention, including three minors. A fourth man was placed under house arrest and a fifth, already under house arrest, has been forbidden from contacting 30 people.

In all, some 30 people have been placed under administrative detention in one week - taking up ISA and police time and resources just as terror throughout Israel snowballed. Palestinian Arabs waged four major terror attacks on Israelis on Wednesday alone, including three stabbings in 12 hours.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
But, this is not the only cage in which Jews are being kept.
YNET: Residents of settlement ordered to stay home following rock ambush
A motorist narrowly escapes attempt to physically remove her from her car near Tekoa in the southern West Bank; two lightly wounded in stabbing attack in Jerusalem.

Roi Yanovsky, 10.07.15

A 38-year-old woman was lightly injured and evacuated from the scene of a rock ambush by ambulance on Wednesday after reporting that Palestinian attackers smashed her windows and attempted to physically remove her from the vehicle before she managed to flee the scene.
Seven cars were damaged in the attack after the group of Palestinians threw stones at vehicles driving on the road leading from Tekoa to Har Homa.

Rivi Lev Ohayun, the 38 year old woman who was injured in a rock ambush this morning spoke to ynet about the attack, "I woke up like every other morning, got up and left for my job in Jerusalem, and that’s when the attack took place. I managed to miraculously escape the lynch attempt, I'm just traumatized."

"I was the first car in a line of cars 50 meters ahead of the Bet Zahor checkpoint, when I noticed a line of about 10 people forming a human barrier. They were all holding rocks, and there were about 10 more 20 something year olds behind them. I saw one of them in front of me with a large rock; I told myself that he was going to kill me," she said.

"I considered driving threw them, but I figured hitting him would break my windshield and injure me. So I turned around, and that’s when about 10 of them jumped on my car and broke my windshield, while one of them opened my door, I saw my death. He started kicking me, but I managed to lock the door and drive away. I called the police crying and frightened. They told me to wait on the side of the road for an ambulance, but I decided to continue driving until I got home, and the police were waiting for me there," she concluded. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
This attack took place at a check point! A check point which was set up to protect Jews on the road.

Where was the IDF? Were they too busy "checking" cars, that they could not see the crowd of Arab youths right in front of them? Couldn't they spare a few soldiers to walk down the line of cars to do some pro-active "checking?"

Apparently not.

And what was this victim of Arab terror told to do? Stay at home.

Why, if I didn't know better, I might say that the Israeli government is allowing these things to happen, and locking up any and every Jew who cares about protecting themselves, their families and neighbors, so that the majority of the Jews, living in Yehudah and Shomron (Judea and Samaria) will be so scared that when they are asked to get up and vacate their homes, for the next land giveaway to Arab terrorists,...they will.

The Same IDF Treatment Toward Jews as Palestinians? Not Quite.

YNET: IDF: Same treatment for Palestinian, Jewish rioters
Soldiers ordered to respond to Jewish stone-throwers just as they do to Palestinians - with riot control measures, Krav Maga.

Yoav Zitun, 07.13.15

Israel's security forces often find themselves in delicate situations that have led to harsh claims of racism and misconduct. But orders passed through the chain of command over the last year paint a different picture - one in which both Palestinian and Jewish rioters earn the same response.

"The command tells soldiers not to treat Palestinian or Jewish stone throwers differently," said a military source who expanded on the details of the order.

"In every case of Jewish attacks against Palestinians, the reaction has to be immediate," said the source, "And there are four red lines: One, damage to property or the body of a Palestinian; two, throwing stones at security forces; three, verbal violence against a soldier, police officer, or border police officer; four, damage to IDF property."

The order has been revised several times in the past, first appearing as a result of several incidents between right-wing activists and IDF soldiers. In many of these cases, soldiers stood by in instances of violence against Palestinians.

"We explain to combat soldiers that there is no difference between a Jewish and a Palestinian who breaks the law," said a senior officer. "There are no special regulations for firing on a Palestinian." (cont.)
And thus there are no special regulations for firing on a Jew.

Anyone out there, worried about a "War Between Brothers" (civil war), this is your cue to start whining about it. (Hint: It already began ages ago.)

Just like the Jew hatred is pushing Jews in the direction of, the erev rav gov't is pushing settlers/religious Jews (including Haredim)

Towns like Yitzhar get it. But, what about towns like Ofra and Neve Daniel? Will they?

Jews and Arabs are to be treated the same, huh? Not quite.
Arutz 7: Jewish Minor Brutally Assaulted by Cops in Demolition Protest
Youth protesting Beit El destruction gets violently assaulted by cops, necessitating hospital treatment; now his case is in court.

Nir Har-Zahav, 7/20/2015

The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court is to discuss on Monday the case of a Jewish youth who was arrested near Kiryat Arba in Judea on Sunday night, during one of a series of protests against the intended demolition of homes in Beit El located north of Jerusalem in Samaria.

The Honenu legal aid organization has revealed that the Jewish minor was brutally assaulted during his arrest by police officers, and was treated at Shaare Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem on Monday night for wounds sustained during the beating.

Honenu has turned to the division for the investigation of officers, in a request for an investigation against those policemen who beat the youth. (cont.)
Yeah, good luck with that one!
PM Netanyahu
The Supreme Court ruled roughly a month ago that several buildings in the eastern part of Beit El are to be demolished by July 30.

In a stormy meeting last Monday, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu admitted he intends to renege his campaign pledge to build 300 housing units in Beit El, saying he will allow the demolition to go ahead.

Netanyahu reneging on a campaign pledge? Please do not tell me that this comes as a surprise to you.
He also clarified his intentions to continue a covert total freeze on Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria that his coalition governments have been enacting for roughly two years now.

Regarding Beit El, there has been criticism against the paradigm by which all non-state land in Judea and Samaria is automatically considered to be Arab-owned private land, even without any proof of ownership, and therefore construction on it is deemed illegal.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Go figure. Since the Torah says that the Land is ours, and the government says that it is not, that means that the government is contradicting the Torah.

And, PLEASE, do not tell me that this comes as a surprise to you, and PLEASE to not throw one of those mamlakhti (diehard State loyalist) responses at me, like "it's more complicated than that" or "we have to be patient" or that "the K'nesseth is a stand-in for a Jewish king."

Haven't you learned your lesson yet?

Still think the Government Of Israel [GOI] is a Jewish government?

I think not.

Who could possibly forget this powerful photo taken at the expulsion of Jews from Amona in תשס״ו/2006?
Nili: “You see me in the photograph, one against many, but that is only an illusion – behind the many stands one man – [Prime Minister Ehud] Olmert, but behind me stand the Lord and the people of Israel.”

Nili is pretty optimistic when she says that there is only one person standing on the other side of the Yassa"m (Israeli riot police) shields. For she is actually up against the Erev Rav. But, she is right about one thing. She has got The Almighty and the People of Israel behind her. We just need to remember that those people calling themselves "Jews" or "Israelis," who are not with her, are against her.

Should we now expect the same IDF treatment towards Jews as Pseudostinians?

Of course not! It has never been the same, and it never will be. This report is simply code for...

It is going to worse for the Jews!

Israeli Religious State Loyalists: This is a Test!

JPost.com: Rabbis issue ruling banning police, IDF from involvement in yeshiva seizure
Jeremy Sharon, April 1, 2015

Rabbi Dov Lior
A group of senior hard-line national-religious rabbis have called on police and military personnel not to involve themselves in any way in the use of the Od Yosef Hai yeshiva building in the settlement of Yitzhar, which was requisitioned by the IDF last year due to security considerations.

The yeshiva was seized by the IDF in April 2014, due to what the military said at the time was a series of violent incidents that had emanated from the institution against local Palestinian communities and IDF personnel in and around the settlement.

Rabbi Yisra'el Ariel
Since then a Border Police battalion has been stationed in the yeshiva, and the military seizure order has been extended several times, the last time in November 2014 for an additional six months.

The seizure of the yeshiva has evoked outrage in Yitzhar and among settler leaders, including some of the sector’s leading rabbis, who spoke out against the ongoing seizure on Tuesday.

In their letter, rabbis Dov Lior, Yitzchak Ginsburgh, Yisrael Ariel and Yitzhak Shapira, among others, said the seizure of the yeshiva and its use as an army base is disgraceful and “extremely upsetting.”

“According to the Torah of Israel, this deed is forbidden, because the structure was stolen from its owners; because of the desecration of what is sacred and the impingement upon the sanctity of the synagogue and study hall which never expires; and because of the Torah study that has been prevented by the closure of the yeshiva (as was said of the wicked among the kings of Judea),” the rabbis wrote.

Rabbi Yitzchak Shapira
“Therefore, according to Jewish law, it is forbidden for anyone to be involved in this deed, or to assist it, and any soldier or police personnel of any rank or position should avoid [such participation],” they decreed, citing a ruling by the 12th-century codifier of Jewish law, Maimonides, as the source for their decision.

Lior is one of the most highly respected rabbis of the hard-line, pro-settler movement rabbis, while Ginsburgh is president of the Od Yosef Hai yeshiva and Shapira is the dean of that yeshiva.

Shapira, along with another rabbi, wrote the hugely controversial 2009 book on Jewish law, Torat Hamelech, which ruled that it is permissible during a time of war to kill non-Jews even if they are not involved in hostilities.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Well, first off, if you haven't figured it out already, the supposedly right of center, JPost only likes certain "settlers" and "settlements," the ones with undying loyalty to the State of Israel.

The same goes for rabbis, calling some "hard-line," as if you could actually have too much Torah influence.

When I say loyalty to the State of Israel, I mean even in spite of the many times when such loyalty is in conflict with the Torah.

Of course, the undying State loyalist rabbis are the ones at fault, fostering loyalty to the State, over loyalty to Torah, claiming that violating State law = violating the Torah, one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. And, yes, I have heard this quite a bit. Silly, isn't it?

Even sadder is that the numbed out masses, with a serious case of learned helplessness blindly follow these rabbis, hanging on their every word, lapping up the politically-correct tripe they desperately want to hear.

This JPost report concludes with a demonization of Rabbi Shapira, essentially sending the message that loyalty to the Torah over the State is something bad.

Far be it from the Jerusalem Post to comment on Jewish Law. It simply throws liberal, Western standards into its readers faces. It does not even bother to bring some makeshift refutation of Rabbi Shapira's opinion, such as "Rabbi So-And-So says...."

Jews have increasingly been forced to face the conflicts between the Torah and Israeli Law. Yet, most are holdouts, and refuse to see, let alone accept, that there are many such conflicts, and that they will eventually have to choose one over the other.

Which do you choose?

The Bane of the Israeli Government

Arutz 7: Yitzhar Taunts 'Unintelligent' Police after Raid
Police claim to seize cache of makeshift weapons for use against Arabs, IDF. Community derides finds which include empty lighbulbs.

Orly Harari, Gil Ronen, February 4, 2015

The Nationalist Crime section of the Central Unit of the Judea and Samaria District Police announced Wednesday it had conducted a raid in the community of Yitzhar and confiscated a large cache of makeshift weapons which they say were meant for attacking security forces and Arabs. Yitzhar denies this.

Police said that the cache includes dozens of canisters of pepper spray, lightbulbs that – after being filled with paint – were to be thrown at security vehicles, gloves, saws, spikes, flammable materials, black face masks, knives, and 'ninja knives' for puncturing car tires.

In the course of the raid, a minor who resides in Yitzhar was handed a distancing order valid for four months.

Yitzhar's spokesman, Ezri Tuvi, mocked the police in his response to the raid. “A well-publicized nighttime raid whose loot includes empty bulbs, an empty military box, a garden faucet, gloves, and pepper gas, which is legal, indicates a level of intelligence that is not very high. The Israel Police would do better to invest resources in the real crime and the more serious offenses within its ranks and in the rest of the country.”

Security forces see Yitzhar as a hotbed of "Jewish extremism."

Last April, the IDF stationed a border police unit in Yitzhar's Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva (Torah academy) building, following clashes between Yitzhar residents and the military.

The Education Ministry in 2011 cut funding to the yeshiva, similarly claiming it was a source of violence.

Students and staff at the Torah academy are tired of the situation and stepping up their efforts to return. Rabbi Yosef Plai, a department head in the yeshiva, told Arutz Sheva that the military actions constitute theft and desecration of holiness, explaining why students and staff in recent days have started to protest firmly, calling on the soldiers to refuse orders and leave the institution.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
I have been writing about Yitzhar , a town situated not to far away from Joseph's Tomb in the ancient, Jewish city of Shchem (Gen. 33:18-34:31), since 2009/תשס״ט, seeing it as one of the prime targets of the Israeli Government's desperate attempts to maintain control over its citizens.

Last April was not the first "clash" between residents and Israeli Defense Forces [IDF], and it is certainly far from over. Two months ago, Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon extended the occupation of the yeshiva. There is one more month left in this standing order.

Previously, the residents disconnected water and electricity from the soldiers based in their town, who saw the writing on the wall. Albeit in the distant future, the residents of Yitzhar knew that the 2005/תשס״ה expulsion of Jews from Azza (Gaza) would not be The Israeli Government's last attempt at pandering to Arab terrorists, and kowtowing to the "international community."

While Yitzhar was encouraging IDF soldiers to leave their town, neighboring towns, like K'far Tapu'ah, were replacing their residential guarding staffs with private security companies which did not allow residents to be guards in their own towns.

When the Government gives the order to expel and destroy, it knows that it will encounter the greatest resistance to its orders from the targeted town's own residents.

Yitzhar has been a particular target of the Israeli Government. Unlike smaller strongholds, which are more easily intimidated, Yitzhar is a well-established, "legal," town in the Shomron (Samaria).

The attacks on Yitzhar have included those from within, with Government lackeys from the  influencing who gets accepted into the town as new residents, in other words, new voters.

When Yitzhar's population of five year olds reached the minimum number to qualify for a second Kindergarten, the authorities refused to allow the town to set up the Kindergartens to be separate for boys and girls. The residents of Yitzhar refused to compromise on their preference, and built their own new Kindergarten classroom without government funds.

Rabbi Plai, himself, has been arrested. For what, you may ask? For teaching Torah. That is correct. Rabbi Plai had the audacity to teach the politically incorrect sections of the Mishneh Torah, the main halakhic (Torah legal) work of the Ramba"m (Maimonides).

Last spring, another resident was even arrested for expressing her opinion.

As is common in other Jewish towns in Yehudah and Shomron, Yitzhar has its share of IDF combat veterans. One of those residents, Moli Leiner tells the story of how he was wounded in last summer's war with the Hamas in the following video (Hebrew).

Under attack by three terrorists with guns and grenades, Leiner was wounded by both bullets and shrapnel, helping fellow wounded soldiers to safety.

Now, here is the thanks he received yesterday from the State he helped to defend.

Esser Agaroth (2¢) Translation:
The administration issued a demolition order for the home in Yitzhar of a paratrooper who was injured in [last summer's] "Protective Edge" [operation against Hamas in Azza].

Rage in Yitzhar: The administration issued a demolition order against the house of a fighter in the IDF's elite paratrooper unit, Moly Leiner, who was wounded in the legs during operation "Protective Edge."

The soldier's house was built without a permit, but in Yitzhar, they have made it clear that they have a permit from the Torah: "Look at Rashi - on the Book of Genesis in the Torah. It is explained and clarified that all land is God's, and he decided to give us the land of Israel. We are building it up with great pride. "
This is by far not the first house which the Israeli Government has destroyed, and unfortunately, I do not see it to be the last.

The above report from 0404 alludes to the bottom line of the conflict between the residents of Yitzhar and similar towns and the Israeli Government.

"Nationalist Crime section" of the Israeli Police? Were you aware that such a section existed?

The Israeli Police forces are not fighting against nationalists. They are fighting against those who hold The Almighty, to be a higher authority than the Israeli Government, but the ultimate authority.

This is what the Israeli Government views as a threat. This is why Yitzhar and communities like it are its bane.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Well, it appears that we are at war. At least that is what a normal human being would. But, whoever said that the Israeli government was made up of normal human being. Self-destructive I would have to say.

Will people finally wake up to the fact that Arabs consider Tel-Aviv just as much fair game as Hevron Beth El or Yitzhar?

On the other hand, it would not surprise me if it was discovered that one or two missiles were "accidentally" let through, speculating on just how much sympathy from the "International Community they could garner.

In this map from January, 2009 (left), we can see that certain cities still have a perceived sense of "safety."

Not anymore. The map on the right shows those additional cities now threatened from the south.

Think about it. Only five and a half years ago, rockets from the south, from Gaza, only threatened only the south. Now, rockets from from Gaza threaten even the north.

These cities threatened by Gaza in the south do not currently include Nahariyya nor Nazareth. But, what happens when they rockets start launching from the north, from Lebanon and no doubt from Syria, once militants there get their acts together?

Simply put, there will be nowhere to run,...except for maybe out of Israel. (May God Prevent emigration!)

Perhaps the rockets will be part of the filtering out process. (May we all wake up, do teshuvah and merit to remain in Israel!)

Today I even heard stories of tour groups cancelling their reservations, and families making plans to leave.

And these were before today's barrage on the southern and central parts of Israel. Rather these decisions were attributed to the Arab riots, which have been spreading around Israel, during this Muslim month of Ramadan.

Then, of course, there are still troubles in South Tel-Aviv, with the so called "refugees" thieving, trashing, assaulting, mooching, you name it.

And what about Iran? I mean Iran is still right where it was a few months ago, right?

Missile range: Iran to Israel

Dare I mention the hidden, and not so hidden, threats: The Bedouin, the Black [non-] Hebrews, the Christians flowing in from the U. S.  and elsewhere, the U. S. Secretary of State itching to get some of their troops on the ground here, not to mention the latest wannabe Caliph and his crew, somewhere over in Iraq or Syria.

Well, I certainly do not intend to leave Israel, regardless of the current situation.

How could I, with the possibility of Ge'ulah playing out before my very eyes?!

Stay tuned for some more connecting of the dots!
