A Reminder Not To Vote For Naftali Bennett And The Assimilation Of The Jewish People

Beyachad (Together) under the leadership of Bennett

With each incarnation of political party, Bennett's kippah shrinks.

Who will Itamar vote for in the upcoming elections? (YNET with Shetach100 - translated)
Despite his disappointment with the coalition, Itamar emphasizes that his political stances have not fundamentally changed. He remains opposed to the establishment of a Palestinian state, yet he believes that even within the opposition, there are parties capable of representing his worldview. "When I look at the alternative—it’s a great alternative," he says. "I don’t want a Palestinian state to be established. When I vote for the opposition, I feel quite confident that this won’t happen."

He summarizes the shift in his perspective by expressing a desire to ensure that those who do not share his worldview still feel a sense of belonging within the state—a sentiment stemming from the realization that the religious public may well become an increasingly large segment of Israeli society. "I understand that people like me—wearing a kippah—are increasingly becoming the majority in this country," he says. "And that is precisely why I want others to still feel comfortable here." "If I had to choose a Prime Minister, I would choose Bennett," he declares. "I don’t want a 'fully right-wing' government; I want us to continue living here together."
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
I think we need to remind Itamar Natan about Naftali Bennett. Please watch the video above by Rabbi David Bar-Hayim.

Itamar’s point—highlighted in red—illustrates the hypocrisy of the Left regarding democracy. They support election results when they get what they voted for; but when the majority—specifically, a majority wearing kippot—votes to form a right-wing government, they refuse to accept the outcome. Is that a logical way to think, or a delusional way to think?

Itamar himself has no ill intent; rather, he simply wants to ensure that the government does not ignore the minority. I believe this is a result of his education in the Israeli public school system.

I believe that any above average, high school senior, taking civics in the U. S. knows more about democracy than any 12th grader in Israel.

I agree that he should not have been haphazardly sent into battle. However, regarding enlistment, we know from a recent report that that the old narrative about avoiding enlistment does not hold water. More Haredim enlist than has been reported, and there are plenty of entitled leftists who receive exemptions. For some reason he does not know this, or has been prevented from knowing this. Nor has he apparently been taught of the importance of supporting at least a segment of Klal Yisrael to sit and learn.

Leftist leader Yair Golan's flip flops on whether to take Haredim into the IDF in the first place, notwithstanding, should anyone enlist in the IDF until the government can guarantee that its military decisions will be based on the needs of the Jewish People, and not on the wishes and expectations of the international community goyim (non-Jewish nations)?

I agree that lumping the left together into the category of evil is also not productive. However, categorizing the direction of their leadership into this category I have no problem calling it evil, whether it is intentionally evil or not. Evil if any of them truly falls into the category of tinoq shenishba -- 'like a captured child,' and thus one not educated to know better -- it is still forbidden to stand idly by and do nothing in response to the damage being done.

I would also agree that a path toward unity is a positive step. However the target for action should be to wake people up to the government's 'divide and conquer' approach -- or rather the approach of those who are truly in charge of the country. The demonization of certain groups of Jews, and the maintaining of conflicts among them, particularly between groups of Torah-observant Jews, is preventing us from any positive progress.

Surely Itamar can see the conflicts between Torah and the state's quasi-democracy. Can't he?

Surely Itamar can see how the left is trying to reduce the influence of Jews through the influx of goyim into the country, whether "refugees" or foreign workers. Surely he can see that this idea of letting so-called refugees into our country as an act of kindness is just a ploy.

Saudi Arabia would never even entertain such a thought. Europe has not stepped up to take in their fellow Europeans -- the Ukrainians. Why should we?

This is the perfect example of the confusion between Western concepts and Torah.

We can thank the Israeli public, 'religious' education for this confusion.
"When I look at the alternative—it’s a great alternative,"
Why? Because it looks more like Western culture that you have been trained to believe is superior to our own? Or that Western culture is our own?
"I don’t want a Palestinian state to be established. When I vote for the opposition, I feel quite confident that this won’t happen."
Yeah. Good luck with that.

We have been saying that for years. And yet, the number of Arab MKs has been increasing right under our noises. The Supreme court that the Left insists on protecting refuses to disqualify Mansour Abbas's party, in spite of his lack of loyalty to the State of Israel, and his desire for a Palestinian state. Meanwhile, Jews who believe in HaShem and His Torah as being on a higher level than the State are the ones risking disqualification.

My Fellow Jews, Wake Up Already!

In a telegram to the Friar's Club of Beverly Hills, Groucho Marx wrote...
"Please accept my resignation. I don’t want to belong to any club that will accept people like me as a member."
- Groucho and Me (1959), p. 321
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
We live in a situation quite opposite of Groucho Marx's, desperately wanting to be a member of a club, that would never have us as a member. Furthermore, HaShem does not want us to be members either, nor even apply for membership.

Being allowed to join exclusive clubs was always seen as a victory, no matter how radically our surnames had to be changed in order to gain membership. Shaving our beards, changing our attire, not to mention our new found compromises to our observance of Sabbatical and dietary laws. Perhaps we were even wiling to attend church with our new, best friends. After all, these non-Jews were demonstrating their open-mindedness by accepting us. So, why shouldn't we reciprocate?

Being released from ghettos was also considered a victory, a first step in our road to acceptance by the nations.

And yet, often a nation would welcome us, seeing our usefulness, only to be ejected or otherwise oppressed within a generation or two.

Jews were part of 1400s Spanish society, until we weren't, forced to reject our heritage by becoming Christian, leave Spain, be killed, or go off with Columbus, which, at the time, was considered the same as being killed.

Rabbi Meir Kahane hy"d -- yes, there's that scary name again -- suggests that our experience in Spain, and ever since, we have been trying to live like the nations. That strategy has never worked for us. So, let us start living like Jews.

And yet, here we are, still trying to fit in, being accepted among Western nations. The declaration by Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai almost 2,000 years ago that "Esau hates Ya'aqov" continues to be a challenge for us to overcome, instead of unadulterated fact, and potential advice to focus our energies elsewhere on things which are actually in our control. We are most definitely a "stiff-necked people." (Ex. 32:9)

YNET: Navi Pillay's Nobel Peace Prize: when anti-Israel hate becomes a virtue
Opinion: The Nobel Committee has honored the former UN human rights chief who led investigations accusing Israel of genocide; Ben-Dror Yemini argues that her selection exposes the hypocrisy, double standards and deep-rooted hostility toward Israel within international institutions

Ben-Dror Yemini | October 11, 2026

...One of the stars of these institutions is Navi Pillay, the former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. The Human Rights Council appointed her to chair the commission investigating the situation in Israel and the Palestinian territories. On September 22, 2024, the commission submitted a 28-page report to the UN General Assembly. Israel is mentioned 277 times. How many times is Hamas mentioned? Zero. The word "terrorism" does not appear in the report either.

The human rights representatives at the UN, from countries such as Yemen, Sudan, Iran and North Korea, liked what they saw and appointed Pillay to head another commission, which in March 2025 submitted a report with the following title. Brace yourselves: "More than a human can bear: Israel's systematic use of sexual, reproductive and other forms of gender-based violence since 7 October 2023." This is what a report on sexual violence looks like when written by the defense lawyers of sex offenders...
Make sure to see the video of former hostage Ilana Gritzewsky putting U. N. ׳expert on violence against women Reem Alsalem from Jordan in her place regarding sexual violence. Alsalem could not even look at Gritzewsky, until she told her to.

*Ilana Gritzewsky moved to Israel from México. Interviews with her in Spanish can be easily found.
...What is even more disturbing is that Pillay was not awarded the Nobel Peace Prize despite being consumed by a profound hatred of Israel. She was chosen precisely because hostility toward Israel is such a central part of her work. And even now, while serving as an ad hoc judge in the Myanmar case before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the UN's highest court, she is attempting to change and broaden the rules governing the crime of genocide to pave the way for Israel's conviction.

We thought the international community had already reached the bottom of the barrel. We were wrong. And when the most prominent defender of hatred toward Israel is now awarded the highest honor of all, it is not only Goebbels who must be smiling in his grave. Orwell, too, must be turning in his.
So, if a Jew defends his family, his livestock, and his land, and ends up killing the men threatening him, he goes to jail. If a non-Jew murders Jews, he wins the Nobel Peace Prize.

In Navi Pillay's case, she has put her stamp of denial, if not approval, on the massacre of Jews, and has paved the way for them to continue.

I also find it interesting to translate names as if they are Hebrew. Navi Pillay could be translated as 'prophet of my wonders' or 'oasis of elephants.'

I believe that latter to be more fitting. Although it would not be the first time that a non-Jew spoke truth, while struggling to lie, being used at an instrument of The Holy One, Blessed Be He (Num. 23-24). And what is Pillay's truth she speaks? We hate you, and we are coming for you.

Obvious, but for some reason many, if not most of us, still need to hear it.

And so, to my fellow Jews, how many more times does a Jew-hater, if not the UN itself, need to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize before you realize that dealing with the so-called international community is fruitless? How many more incidents of double standards, with Jews on the losing end, have to occur before you wake up to the fact that no one is going to help, save, nor defend the Jewish People except for ourselves.

Oh, I suppose that some of you still believe that Trump will save us. Good luck with that.

Israel's Left Still Doesn't Get It, Nor Wants To

English follows the Hebrew.

YNET Opinion: Israel’s religious turn risks transforming the conflict into a religious war
Opinion: Israel has long sought to prevent its conflicts with its enemies from taking on a religious dimension; But the growing role of religious ideology in policy toward the Palestinians is further reducing the chances of a solution

Dr. Michael Milshtein | October 04, 2026

For years, Israel hoped that its conflict with its enemies would have a national character: that it would be based as much as possible on a territorial dispute between peoples and as little as possible on ideology and religion, which would mean an all-out war with no prospect of a settlement.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
It seems that this is yet another piece in which I will have to respond to it, paragraph by paragraph. However, you do not have the patience for that, here are the themes Milshtein covers, which I have already addressed in the past, along with relevant links. "...there is nothing new under the sun." (Eccl. 1:9) Click on the ones which interest you.
We have heard Milshtein's talking points before, and will probably hear them again. It is the same old argument for the need to fit into a Western-based globalist society, and the need to play by its rules.
The main challenge in this regard is fundamentalist Islam, which, based on divine command, prohibits recognition of Israel and permits, at most, a hudna — a temporary truce that can be broken, as happened in the October 7 attack. Dealing with non-Islamist actors has not been easy either, particularly when it comes to genuine acceptance of Israel's existence. But it has been proven that political agreements can be reached, some based on territorial compromise.
Well, Milshtein is right about one thing, Islam. But political agreements being reached on territorial compromise? Wrong. Whatever anti-Torah beliefs he has about giving up pieces of the Land of Israel, surely he must see that he making my argument for me.

Each agreement made with the Arabs is only a hudna in their eyes - a temporary truce that can be broken. Long-term, these agreements mean nothing to them.

Don't believe me? For the umpteenth time, I suggest that you see the dream maps of a Palestine hidden in plain site, within the emblems of, not only Hamas, but the Palestinian Authority's ruling Fatah Party. All of them want all of our Land, including Tel Aviv. Their end game is the destruction of Israel.

Maybe Milshtein believes that Arabs will eventually come around to the understanding of Western culture being superior to their own, and will "see the light."

But, what will actually happen, after attempting to dialogue with Arabs, over and over again, expecting different results, ie. insanity, the blindness of their pride will cause them to fall.
Recently, Israel's own conduct has contributed significantly to this longstanding challenge. Since October 7, religiously charged ideas have played an increasingly prominent role in its policies, particularly on the Palestinian issue. Such ideas have always existed, but they have never held such a dominant position as a national compass.

A turbulent reality, with no investigation of the failures or treatment of the collective trauma, has persisted for three years, providing fertile ground for embracing ideas once regarded as unrealistic and even delusional. Concepts and goals drawn from biblical times and associated with the religious Zionist movement are thus being injected into the life of a modern state, without any serious debate over what it means for the state to rely on the belief that we are living in an age of miracles and approaching redemption.
It seems that religious fervor to Milshtein is a result of searching for answers, a sense of helplessness and the desperate desire to be rescued by an outside force, and that this is the result of our collective trauma. Does he also think that pining for geulah (redemption) is a manifestation of our collective delusion.

Well, let me tell Milsthein something. This desire has existed for thousands of years
Our desire for redemption has been fulfilled twice. So, why not a third time? *I am attempting to use Western reasoning here, since I am guessing that Milshtein, regardless of his background, will not respond well to a Torah-based line of reasoning.

Crying out to HaShem to save us sounds very similar indeed to our cries out to Him from our enslavement in Egypt (Ex. 3:9). Time and time again, the Israeli government, whether left or right, has demonstrated its failure to protect us, instead kowtowing to the wishes of the international community goyim.

So, from a psychological perspective, it sounds quite healthy to break free from a strategy which has proven to be ineffective in the long-term. Instead of the insanity of repeating the same mistakes over again, expecting different results, we are searching for different approach.

But, Milshtein should not worry. The Left wing of the Erev Rav is putting up the same fight against Torah, as it has been since leaving Egypt.
To Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich's past statements about the need to wipe out the Palestinian town of Huwara, establish a Joshua doctrine — under which there are no non-Jewish citizens with equal rights, only "gentiles" — regard Arab Israelis as "citizens for now" and rely on a "God willing" economy and Torah law as in the days of King David, have now been added a promise to fund the construction of a Jewish Temple, as well as telling the Saudis to go ride camels in the desert if they continue demanding negotiations with the Palestinians as a condition for normalization and telling Europe to go to hell over sanctions and criticism of Jewish violence in the West Bank.
OK. So Milshtein will never accept that these "settlers" -- with a nickname designed to separate them from mainstream, Israeli society -- are defending themselves, because the IDF is incapable or unwilling to do so sufficiently. We all get that. So, I will not even bother...

Does Milshtein view Smotrich's ideas from the Torah as primitive? Since they are not in line with Western ideals, they are inherently bad?

Whether Milshtein knows it or not, he is the perfect example of the subtle, and insidious, form of assimilation, the form of which most Jews are unaware.

I will not even get into how seeing the West as the ideal culture to strive for completely discounts the wisdom and culture brought by Jews to Israel from North Africa and the East.
The West Bank is a central arena in the "religionization" of Israeli policy, reflected in the sanctification of holding onto the territory under divine command and in the attitude toward Palestinians — non-Jews who are encouraged to leave, preferably "voluntarily." In the extraterritorial realm of the West Bank, norms are developing that are gradually spilling over into the rest of the country and affecting the circumstances and future of all Israelis. Daily life in the West Bank illustrates how the conflict is becoming fundamentally religious, as seen, for example, in the burning of mosques and churches and the deepening Israeli hold on numerous religious sites that are increasingly being accorded the status of existential assets for Israel.
Well, gee. I suppose you and your ilk should have annexed the West Bank long ago, huh? That way you could have had more control over its youths' education and ideological development. You only managed to tackle some of the youth -- the bored suburbanite youth -- most of whose parents cannot even answer their children's question, "Are we living on Jewish land or Arab land?"1. The answer "It's complicated" no longer cuts it.

We can see these young men and women waiting for tremps (rides) and buses to Tel-Aviv night clubs on Saturday nights, often after "suffering" through yet, another 'boring' Shabbat. So much for mamlakhti (State loyalist) religious education. Too many mixed messages, I suppose.

The Land of Israel is the homeland of the Jewish People, and no other. However which was you try to slice, this is Zionism.

Now that you have failed to control those who view Torah on a higher level as State law, including desperate threats of "re-education," and with a kippah slapped on it, no less, now what?

We have heard the fear mongering before, incitement against the Torah-observant, sometimes Haredim, sometimes [real] settlers, sometimes even against the "well behaved," fully indoctrinated, mamlakhti  "Zionists."

The growing role of religious ideology in policy toward the [Arabs identifying as] Palestinians not reducing the chances of a solution, but only reducing the chances of a solution that Milshtein wants. Thank God.

Either he believes in the importance of placating the so-called international community as strategy, or that it is incumbent upon the Jewish People to be integrated into a globalist society.

Does he realize that the end game of such an integration is the erasing of Israel as a people, separate and distinct. The Torah mandates that we remain as such. And so, here we have one of the main conflicts between a way of life being Jewish, and a life of doing pretty much whatever we want.
...and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them; and that you do not go after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to go astray; (Num. 15:39)
I will be the first to admit that a Western, non-Jewish way of life is much less restrictive than a Jewish way of life. Esau (The West) did whatever he wanted, while his brother Ya'aqov (Israel) did his best to study and to achieve what HaShem wanted of him. I said I would refrain from using Torah logic in this post. But what can I say? The Torah touches every aspect of a Jew's life, whether Milshtein can fathom that or not.

I like to remind people of the term Erev Rav, the mixed-multitude which accompanied us out of Egypt is based on the root word for mix, as in the mixed-multitude. The Erev Rav is all about mixiing things together, the opposite of keeping things separate and distinct, national borders, peoples, religions, and genders. Even our Hebrew language has been inundated with English, ever since the late Prime Minister Sharon's application of the adopted into Hebrew word "relavanti" over 20 years ago.

In other words, Milshtein's vision for Israel does not seem much different than the international community's vision for us: assimilation into a globalist society, dominated by Western "progressive" ideals. But, perhaps Milshtein would allow us some Jewish sprinkles on top of his Western progressive, superior culture, as long as they were not too Jewish.

Milshtein does not seem to be anything less than leftist extraordinaire, Yossi Beilin 2.0, who also happened to have been an architect of the Oslo "Death" Accords.

There really is nothing new under the sun.

Israeli President Herzog: Torah Scholar Or Globalist?

English follows the Hebrew.
FoxNews.com:

FoxNews.com: Exclusive: Israeli President Herzog blasts Mamdani, praises Trump, sounds alarm on Iran
Israeli president told Fox News Digital Mamdani 'does not respect my nation's right for self-determination'

Amelie Botbol | August 1, 2026

JERUSALEM, Israel — New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is spreading hateful and antisemitic rhetoric and endangering the lives of New Yorkers, Israeli President Isaac Herzog told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview at his Jerusalem residence.
He says New Yorkers, and not New York's Jews. Why? Because he wants New Yorkers to be able to identify with the plight of New York's Jews? Or because he wants everyone to know that we are all the same, Jewish or not?
"Mamdani does not respect my nation's right for self-determination … the Jewish people's inherent right to have a nation of their own. And he's basically spreading blasphemy, hate, antisemitic rhetoric. He should understand that he's risking his own citizens. He’s risking their safety, well-being and life," Herzog said...
This is true about Mamdani, and his lack of respect for the Jewish people's inherent right to have a nation land of their own. Why isn't the Israeli President encouraging New York's Jews to relocate to their own nation land? So as not to upset those American Jews entrenched in the exile, so that the flow of donations from them does not become interrupted?
While some leading political voices in the U.S. have questioned the relationship with the Jewish state, the president stressed the important ties that have made the relationship so important.

Israeli president highlighted what he described as Trump’s deep support for the Jewish state, demonstrated through both words and actions.
Is he doing what I think he is doing? Is he slobbering over Trump? Is he ingratiating himself with the U. S. President?
He pointed to Trump’s 2018 decision, during his first term, to relocate the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and his subsequent recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
Yes. But why? President Trump's mandate is the protection and advancement of U. S. interests. U. S. and Israeli interests are not -- I repeat, are not -- the same. Do they overlap? Certainly. But they are by no means identical. Whether Americans agree or disagree that this is what he doing, or not, is neither here nor there.
Herzog praised Trump’s "endless" backing of Israeli positions "in so many issues" and his "immense support and friendship with Israel," adding that the two countries still more often than not see "eye to eye."
Even President Herzog could not get away with leaving this out. Maybe he believes that revealing this will make the rest of his tripe more believable.
Herzog credited Trump with helping secure the return of 255 hostages held by Hamas after the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre. While acknowledging the efforts of many officials involved, he said Trump "put his foot down" and "pushed and negotiated brilliantly" to bring them home, adding that he had "huge respect" for the American leader.
How many hostages made it home again? Remind me. And this was do exclusively to President Trump's brilliant negotiations?
That admiration among Israelis has not been diminished by any perceived political disagreements, Herzog said, adding he believes the U.S.-Israel relationship transcends shifting attitudes and growing criticism of the Jewish state.
That is because Trump doesn't listen to them. He does what he wants.
"We both drink from this set of values, which was commanded to all of us by these historic spiritual books given to us by the Almighty," he said.
This is a clear reference to the fallacy of Judeo-Christian values. Judeo-Christian values is invoked for a few different reasons:
  1. Christians actively attempting to advance the "grafting" onto the Jewish People, with the objectives of bringing them to the worship of their false deity.
  2. Christians easing the way for their infiltration into the Jewish Homeland.
  3. Pathetic, Jewish collaborators enthralled by the love and validation and money thrown at them by Christians, desperately needing non-Jews to accept us as the same as them.
One of those things which was commanded to all of us by these historic spiritual books given to us by the Almighty is the prohibition against worshipping false deities. And, no so many of these Christian do not worship The Almighty through their mascot of an intercessor. Rather, they pray to him directly.

Christians have nullified much of these commandments, believing that they have a "new covenant." Remember their false deity? In other words, that they know better than those who received the Torah in the first place, and do what they want.
Herzog linked the reported decline in American support for Israel, particularly among younger people, to campaigns of well-funded disinformation on social media.
He may actually be right about this. But, so what?
"It's very easy to smear Israel on TikTok, but that doesn't say the real truth. And I invite every young American to set foot in this country," he told Fox News Digital.
Why? Why do we need congressional fact-finding and hasbara (PR) tours to Israel? Is the President really that worried about Israel's economic health, and through its need for international commerce?
Herzog described Israel as a place where innovators flourish, and great ideas are shared with the world, contributing enormously across fields including health, energy, science, agriculture and food security.
Then focus on that. Trade. But that is not what is happening here. Even if the tourist industry is expanding, which would please the government, is it growing in order to provide Israelis with jobs? and besides, most of these seem to go to foreign workers anyone. They are always good to have around to demonstrate our political-correctness, not mention to prove our loyalty to a globalist stand on immigration and borders. Yes to immigration; no to borders.

Hey, we even terrorists in! Although it is true that after an active, we put a pause on that for a few months.. But then when things have calmed down, and often when no one is looking, we let them back in again, even some of those with blood on their hands.
"There's a reason why Americans who visit our country, young Americans, fall in love with this country. And my aim in this interview is to … take off the terrible mask which was placed on our face by terrible forces, some of them, of course, forces which work on it all the time to tell a distorted story.
If he is referring to Jewish Americans American Jews, why aren't these young Americans, who have fallen in love with this country staying? What is the supposedly apolitical position of the Israeli Presidency doing wrong?

What is President Herzog's motivation for encouraging the maintenance, if not the strengthening, of U. S. - Israel relations? Because we are not yet ready to become fully independent from them,... but soon will,... because this should be Israel's ultimate goal,... to be an independent, ie. not only distinct, but also separate, people?

I sincerely doubt that an Israel, independent from the U. S., leader of the Western World, is the president's expressed intention here.

The admiration among Israelis, mentioned above, stems from an ever increasing level of internalized Israeli-phobia -- to coin a phrase -- fueled by being continually battered by trauma. And that trauma is a direct result of the Israeli government repeating the same mistakes over again, expecting different results.

The Israeli Government, whether the lapdogs are from the left or the right, they are still slobbering lapdogs, concerned more than ever over their "friendship" with the U. S.

At least Netanyahu has suggested recently that an independent Israel is on the horizon. But in the case of Herzog, and those like him, the ultimate goal is a [symbolically] Jewish Democratic, ie. Hellenist, State, which is code for a member of the globalist community, no longer sitting on the sidelines, but a full and active participant.

Let's face it. The only way something like that can possibly happen is total assimilation of the Jewish.

Earlier in this report from Fox News...
"I believe that there is something biblical and prophetic in the way our nations work together. And I truly believe that Israel should be a bipartisan issue of friendship and support," he added.
Oh, President Herzog is definitely right about something biblical and prophetic in the way our nations work together. But it is not the biblical and prophetic something that he is thinking.

Sure, I cannot tell you for certain what President Herzog is thinking. But I can tell you with a high level of confidence what he is not thinking.
Caesarea and Jerusalem If someone says to you both of them have been destroyed do not believe it, both of them are standing do not believe it. Caesarea was destroyed and Jerusalem stands, [or] Jerusalem was destroyed and Caesarea stands believe it. As it is said, "I shall be filled with her that is laid waste" (Ezek. 26:2); If this city is filled, that one is laid waste, and if that city is filled, this one is laid waste. (Balylonian Talmud Megilah 6a)
Caesarea and Jerusalem cannot co-exist.

Edom (The West) and Israel cannot co-exist.

President Herzog seems to think the opposite, in spite of the wel-known prophesies to the contrary, that eventually, Edom (The West) will fall (Isaiah 34, 63; Jeremiah 49; Obadiah).

YNET: Israel's ex supreme court president, holocaust survivor, warns: ‘Don’t assume it can’t happen here’
Aharon Barak recounts childhood escape from Nazi ghetto, links Holocaust trauma to legal philosophy; warns democracy must defend judges, calls for moral treatment of Arabs, says elections give him hope

Lihia Gordon | April 13, 2026

At a “Zikaron BaSalon" event, a grassroots Israeli initiative in which people host Holocaust remembrance discussions in homes and public venues, marking Holocaust Remembrance Day, former Supreme Court President Aharon Barak spoke not as a jurist but as a 5-year-old child from Kovne (Kaunas), Lithuania.

Addressing a hall filled with lawyers at the Yitzhak Rabin Center, against the backdrop of ongoing war and security threats, he connected his personal Holocaust memories to broader questions of law, democracy and Israeli identity. “Do not assume this cannot happen here,” he warned.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Holocaust victims should be honored, but no longer be given a free pass to say and do whatever it is they want. Their words need to be understood in context.

We are still reeling from his transformation of Israel's judicial system into the dictatorship that it is today. This cannot be ignored.

We are still reeling from these personal experiences which have shaped him, his mentality, his approach to life and governance, being led his feelings, influenced heavily, if not exclusively, by Western, ie. non-Jewish, culture.
The event, held on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, was led by Israel Bar Association head Amit Becher and Barak himself. They discussed how Barak’s childhood trauma in the ghetto shaped his legal philosophy. “This evening involves first and foremost your personal story, but it is also the story of national revival,” Becher said at the start of the discussion.

Barak started recalling: Kaunas (Kovne), 1941. He was 5, sitting in a cart with his parents on the way to the ghetto. “The image I carry from that time is of a prison,” he said. “People lived under a death sentence, never knowing when it would be carried out.”

He described hunger, daily deaths and strict prohibitions. “It was forbidden to study or teach, and forbidden to have children. A child who was born would be murdered, and so would the mother.”

His breaking point came during the 1944 “children’s action,” when German soldiers entered homes and took all children under age 12. “They were all murdered,” he said. Barak survived extraordinarily. He was smuggled out of the ghetto in a sack from the factory where his father worked. “They put me inside a sack with soldiers' uniforms. A German soldier sat on top of me. If I had moved, it would have been the end of me,” he recalled. When the sack was opened in a Lithuanian farmer’s barn, it was the first time he had seen a cow. “That was my first moment of fear,” he said.

Barak and his mother were hidden by two Lithuanian farmers later recognized as Righteous Among the Nations, a title given by Israel to non-Jews who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust. Years later, Barak asked their children why their parents had taken such risks. “The answer was simple,” he said. “We are devout Catholics. If someone needs help, you help them..."
Sure. They may have merit for defying the Nazis. But, let us not forget, Jews were not trying to kill Catholics.
Barak said he has asked himself ever since what he would have done in their place. “I don’t have an answer,” he said. Alongside the horror, he emphasized the humanity that endured in the ghetto. “There was solidarity. We helped each other. The Germans took our lives, but not our spirit, and not our humanity,” he said...

...That journey, he said, shaped his legal outlook. “The first lesson is the importance of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people,” he said. “If such a state had existed during the Holocaust, things would have looked completely different.”
Yes. Because we would have had a place to flee that was recognized as ours. Even now we struggle with that recognition, but not just recognition from other nations.

Jews like Barak want the “State of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people.” On the other hand, there are Jews who work for a homeland for the Jewish people, and even for the kingdom of the House of David to return to its place in our own day. There is a difference between these goals. There is a big difference.
At the same time, he stressed a universal moral lesson. “We must treat Arabs as we would have wanted to be treated as Jews in Lithuania,” he said. “Human dignity is a Jewish concept.” He said the role of the law is to maintain a balance “between the survival of the state and human rights, not to veer toward extremes but to seek balanced solutions.”
What exactly is he suggesting here? That the Arabs are in danger of incurring the same fate in Israel as the Jews incurred in 1940s Europe? This is the same Western approach which has failed us, time and time again. If we only dialogue enough, get to know the "other" enough, and shower them with gifts, there will be peace.

And yet, here we are...again, at war with Hamas, Hezbollah, and Persia (Iran). Of course, the Persians are not Arabs, they are Muslims. Surprise.

I sound like a broken record, but feelings are what lead the West. Torah is what is supposed to lead the Jews.

"Not to go to extremes" is code for beware of anyone who keeps Torah and its mitzvoth, and who looks to Torah as his guide for living. "Balanced solutions" is code for do not allow the Torah to touch everything. Let the goyim have influence us, too. After all, we leave on the same globe, ie. globalism.
When asked whether legal systems themselves can descend into injustice, as happened in Nazi Germany, Barak answered unequivocally: “Yes. If it happened in the country of Beethoven and Bach, it can happen here. Do not assume it cannot happen here. Anything can happen.”
What can happen here? He basically just said that with a nation state of Jew, things would be different. So, if Jews are protected here from another Holocaust, is he expressing concern for the fate of the Arabs? Or, dare I suggest, the fate of secular, Israeli society?
He added a direct warning: “If democracy does not protect judges, judges will not be able to protect democracy.”
Originating from the Greeks, democracy is perfectly good system of governance,... for the nations, who are commanded to set up courts for themselves, one of the seven commandments on Bnei No'ah (Children of Noah), emphasis on for themselves, not for the Jews.

Jews already have a system of government. It is laid out for us in the Torah.
As the evening concluded, Becher asked a final question: What gives Barak hope for the future of Israel’s legal system and the state?

His answer was brief: “Elections.”
In the end, elections will not help you. So, enjoy them while they last.

When we say "Never Again!" to a Holocaust, we have to mean it. We have to stop making the same mistakes over again, expecting different results. Allowing more non-Jews, even encouraging them to join us here, acceptance fake Jews, fake conversions, and expressions of fake Judaism is not helping us; it is hurting us, and leading to the next Holocaust.

Our fundamental mistake has been to try and live like the goyim. The was good reason for this in the past. We didn't want to beaten up, raped, or killed. We had to survive, and that meant getting along with our hosts in their temporary refuges they provided us. and that meant to assimilate somewhat.

We tried to be good Spaniards. The forced us to convert, leave, or be killed.

We tried to be gooe Poles, when the welcomed us in. They made pogroms.

We tried to be good Germans. They rejected us, even when we converted to Lutheranism. They rejected us, even when we made Judaism look more like Christianity, even gathering on Sundays. (Thanks, Reform Movement!)

Eventually, the Germans targeted for more than just torture, conversion, and expulsion. They did not want to kill just our boys like the Egyptians. They did not want to prevent more Jews from being born like Laban the Aramaean. They wanted to exterminate us.

In Barak's own words:
"If democracy does not protect the judges, they will not be able to protect it."
Having come from one of the fairest systems of government on the planet -- that is, until The Patriot Act, which was the beginning of the end -- I question the understanding of democracy any native Israeli or any Jew present at, or near, the founding of the State.

Certainly, former Chief Justice Aharon Barak knows more of political science than I. That is an understatement. But, this is exactly what we should all be afraid of. He knows how to manipulate a supposedly democratic system of government, has trained many others to do the same, and has successfully sold his vision of democracy to the masses.

The Aharon Baraks among us are either unwilling, or simply cannot, escape their Western mentality. Blame PTSD. Blame whatever you like. Have compassion for them. We are taught that almost anyone can repent, and can even do so on the last day in This World (Mishnah Avoth 2:13 [10]; MT, Laws of Repentance 2:2).

I am just not very optimistic.
