Jewish LGBTQs Still Don't Get It

Fox News: Pro-Israel Democrat California state senator heckled at Trans March over Gaza, ‘We f---ing hate you’
Mayor Daniel Lurie condemned the harassment as antisemitic during Pride Weekend at Dolores Park

CJ Womack, June 28, 2026

California state Sen. Scott Wiener, D-San Francisco, said he was forced to leave San Francisco's Trans March at Dolores Park on Friday after demonstrators confronted him over Israel and Gaza, in a viral episode that unfolded as [San Francisco] Pride Weekend began.

The video showed several people surrounding Wiener as he walked through the park, with multiple hecklers shouting profanity-laced messages.

"We f---ing hate you!"

Dimitry Yakoushkin, who posted the clip to X, could be heard criticizing Wiener’s position on the war in Gaza as the Democratic lawmaker moved away from the crowd....
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
LGBTQs The so-called sexual minority communities in the US still don’t get it. They wouldn’t survive a second in a Hamas controlled area. They wouldn’t survive a second in a Fatah controlled area! Fatah is the mainstream political party in the Palestinian Authority [PA]

The event from which State Sen. Scott Wiener was a trans event. I would imagine that if you ask any on the participants if they knew of Israel providing political asylum to transgender individuals, fleeing the PA, the answer would either be no, or met with accusations of making such a thing up.

The mention of granting asylum to transgender individuals should not suggest any agreement with this policy of the State of Israel on my part. I am simply mentioning it. I actually question the granting of asylum to any non-Jews within the Land of Israel, as it says "Do not have mercy" (Deut. 7:2)

This should also not suggest any support on my part for any of these communities. I say communities, plural, as they are not nearly as cohesive, as we are led to believe in the mainstream media.

However you feel about Israel's reputation for being the most LGBT-friendly country in the Middle East, Muslim go too far in the opposite direction.

In spite of the meme depicted here, Saudi Arabia is known for throwing gay men off of roofs.

Iran is known for the forced gender-reassignment of gay men. To be clear, this means forced castration, and hormone replacement therapy [HRT], believing that these men were put into the wrong body. Their belief that their deity can make such mistakes is a whole other conversation for another time.

And, as in many Muslim countries, in the PA, there are incidents of honor killings, of women, transgendered individuals, and, despite the sexual indiscriminateness of many Arab men, gay men.*

In 2014, Jews were arrested, tried, and convicted for the murder of Mohamed Abu Khdeir. The three finger salute can represent pro-democracy movements. However, in Israel, it was a known symbol going around social media, representing Arab support for the kidnapping and murder of the three boys in Gush Etzion hy"d.

Many believe that the Jews' confessions were coerced, and that Abu Khdeir was actually killed by Arabs for being gay.

Many will ask why bother trying to convince these fringe communities of Jews? Why shouldn't we?

This has nothing to do with my objections to the actions of these communities in Israel, such as pride festivals.

It is one thing to publicize and offer support for those who are struggling psychologically and spiritually. It is another to provide positive visibility to let depressed, and even suicidal teenagers they are not alone and can find help. It is another one completely to encourage, even take "pride" in, engaging in behavior, forbidden by the Torah.

It is no wonder that some Jews refer to pride celebrations as festivals of rebellion, especially within the Holy City of Jerusalem.

Note: I do not mind LGBT protests against traditional conversion therapy, since I believe it to be a load of crap.

I tell right-wing Jews and left-wing Jews, religious Jews and secular Jews the same thing. The Land of Israel is your only, true homeland. Have you visited, or tried living here, but couldn't make it? Did you not like how things operated? Do you believe what you hear in the news and see on social media, and don't like it?

Well, then these are your challenges to overcome. Do not expect anything to change over night, unless you get on the plane, relocate, pitch in, and do your part.

And that should answer your question as to why bother. Misguided and misled Jews are not any less Jewish than any of us, nor less deserving of our investment.

What's Bothering Governor Joshua Shapiro, and What to Learn from It

English follows the Hebrew.

(Where We Keep the Light)

Joshua Shapiro

Fox News: Josh Shapiro claims Kamala Harris' team asked if he was a 'double agent for Israel'
Excerpts of Shapiro's upcoming book claimed the 2024 presidential candidate's team asked about his ties to Israel

Lindsay Kornick, January 19, 2026
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Many Jews would like for Jews and non-Jews alike to view these revelations from Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, as proof of just how hostile former Vice-President Kamala Harris, her people, and Democrat Party officials are toward Jews and toward Israel. Those who believe this, I ask, "Where have you been? Living under a rock?"

It is not that these revelations are not damning. They are. Rather, this is nothing new. This has been going on for years, and has only been getting worse. Many Jews will agree. But they will also only talk the talk, and not walk the walk. Or they are walking the incorrect walk again and again, expecting different results.

You want to cry antisemitism, throw money at counter-protests, play the victim... again, and stand your ground. You refuse to be pushed out of your homes, neighborhoods, and universities, like Jews have been throughout history.

Perhaps a re-examination of the true definition of Zionism will help.
  • Throwing money at your fellow Jews living thousands of miles a way in a land you were taught to appreciate and respect, but not actually ever live there...
  • Blogging, or even receiving a salary for writing, articles about how you would bring peace to the Middle East...
  • Advocating for yet another Arab state, and within the boundaries of Israel...
  • Telling your fellow American Jews to stay in exile until the economic conditions in Israel improve. In other words, those of us who have already relocated to our homeland are somehow supposed to fix things for you, without you having to lift a finger...
  • Some of you have even lived in Israel for a time, served in the Israeli Defense Forces [IDF], or grew up here. So, of course, you know better than those of us who live here continuously on the frontlines. You have the perfect solutions as to how to fix everything from your living room, yet that does not include actually living in Israel...
Zionism is the concept that the Land of Israel belongs to the People of Israel, of whom the Jews are the last remnants. If you fall into one of the above, you are not a Zionist.

If you were a real Zionist, you would not just be investing your money in your homeland, but also your blood, sweat, and tears. Get on the plane already.

The only thing we must learn from Governor Shapiro's accounts is confirmation that the United States of America is not our homeland, rather only a temporary refugee for us among the nations, until we are able to return to our own homeland.

You have not already known of the extent of the hostility of Harris, her people, Democrats, and an increasing number of Republicans, then you have not been paying attention as much as you would like to think.

But what is worse is that this has encouraged Jews to stick around and fight, fight for their rights as Americans, to live in peace and to be full contributing members of American society. Picking up and leaving is viewed as quitting and running away.

But what is really causing you to want to fight? Materialism? False sense of security in America? Fear of the unknown in what you see as a foreign country?

All of the above. But, first and foremost it is your false sense of belonging.

You do not belong there. You belong in Israel.

Is Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro Too Jewish to be Vice-President?

Fox News: VP short-lister Shapiro on defense over Israel after decades-old college paper surfaces
Gov. Josh Shapiro, D-Pa., has reportedly made the final shortlist of vice presidential candidates Peter Aitken, August 3, 2024

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, D-Penn., has had to defend his stance on Israel after an op-ed he penned more than three decades ago, in which he wrote of being an Israeli army volunteer and disparaged the Palestinian people, resurfaced.

"Since he wrote this piece as a 20-year-old student, Gov. Shapiro has built close, meaningful, informative relationships with many Muslim-American, Arab-American, Palestinian Christian, and Jewish community leaders all across Pennsylvania," Shapiro’s spokesman Manuel Bonder told Fox News Digital in a statement...

...Palestinians will not peacefully coexist," because "they do not have the capabilities to establish their own homelands and make it successful even with the aid of Israel and the United States."

"They are too battle-minded to be able to establish a peaceful homeland of their own," Shapiro wrote, identifying himself as a "past volunteer in the Israeli army." He referred to the Arab world as divided and "belligerent." (cont.)
Fox News: Kamala Harris picks Tim Walz: Did she decide Josh Shapiro was too Jewish to be VP?

Hanna Panreck, August 7, 2024
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Many Jews are outraged that Gov. Josh Shapiro could not be seriously considered as a vice-presidential candidate.

I am outraged that they are outraged.

Jews should not be serving in the government of a non-Jewish country, not Mexico, which just elected a Jewish president, not Canada, not Morocco, and not Bahrain, nor any other non-Jewish country, emphasis on the descriptor "non-Jewish."

Many, if not most Jews, still have not gotten the memo that Israel is the only [potentially] Jewish country, and the only Jewish Land in the world, and that they should be living an investing their abilities in Israel.

And another thing, did Josh Shapiro really change his views over time? Or did change his views in order to become the vice-presidential candidate? I guess we may never know.

Too bad he changed his mind. He wasn't wrong, not about any of it. (See the photos above)

Some have suggested that Sen. Fedderman (D-Penn) had a hand in Shapiro's downfall.
Fetterman’s advisers suggested to Harris’ team that the senator believes that Shapiro is excessively focused on his own personal ambitions. His reservations about Shapiro reflect a long-running rivalry between the two ambitious Democrats, who have risen on parallel tracks in a politically crucial state. (Politico, Aug. 3, 2024)
But all that really matters is that Shapiro does not seem to see this as a blessing.

I pray that he eventually will, and that he will move to Israel with his family soon.

Is Claiming that Jews have Dual Loyalties Anti-Semitic?

FoxNews.com: Bernie Sanders aide defends Omar with term seen as anti-Semitic, apologizes
Joseph A. Wulfsohn, March 13, 2019 (Fox News' Liam Quinn contributed to this report.)

Sen. Bernie Sanders
A top staffer to Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign apologized Tuesday for invoking “a dual allegiance” of Jewish Americans while defending Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.
Belén Sisa, Sanders’ national deputy press secretary, was discussing the term seen as anti-Semitic in a Facebook thread over the weekend -- and argued that questioning it was legitimate, Politico reported.

This is a serious question: do you not think that the American government and American Jewish community has a dual allegiance to the state of Israel? I’m asking not to rule out the history of this issue, but in the context in which this was said by Ilhan,” Sisa wrote...
...Last week, the House of Representatives passed an anti-hate resolution sparked in large part by Omar's recent suggestions that Israel supporters want U.S. lawmakers to pledge “allegiance” to the Jewish state – which was widely condemned as echoing the age-old “dual loyalties” smear against Jewish politicians. The resolution did not mention the freshman congresswoman by name...
Esser Agaroth (2¢):

Well, looking at the banner and catch phrase for the American Israel Public Action Committee's [AIPAC] upcoming Policy Conference, I would have to say that they want the U. S. and Israel to be "connected for good."

I, on the other hand, do not.

I guess that's one of the reasons I am sometimes labeled as an "extremist."

Of course, it wasn't my idea; it was and is the idea of The Holy One, Blessed Be He.

Sure, if you're Satmar or Neturei Karta, then you believe that Jew's took control of the Land of Israel at the wrong time, the wrong way, and by the wrong people. But, they still believe that it WILL eventually be in the hands of the Jewish People, having been Divinely-promised to us.

But, if you call yourself a "Zionist" -- which incidentally wasn't not invented by Theodore Hertzl, but rather by The Holy One, Blessed Be He -- then why on earth would you have any loyalty to the U. S. at all? Appreciation and gratitude, yes. Commitment to be a helpful citizen while you still reside there, yes. But, why the heck are you still residing there, if you're a "Zionist??"

The gates have finally been opened. You have no excuse not to make aliyah (Jewish immigration to Israel), certainly not if you identify as a "Zionist."
Waiting till your children reach a certain age, so it's less difficult on them.
Waiting for them to finish college, or any other goal they have. Their age won't matter. You'll find an excuse for every age or goal.
Waiting till you get your full pension benefits, if you only have a little time left. OK, maybe. I myself do not believe I will be getting any retirement benefits from the U. S. So,...
Single parents not wanting to part from your children, whom you share custody with your ex, I feel for you, and don't know what to tell you.

I am not sure which is more hurtful to Jews, accusations of dual loyalties, or of President Trump's declaration that the U. S. is the Jews' country, too.

It is not.

I certainly am against dual loyalties. But, what others see as dual loyalties, in order that Israel can have influence over U. S. policy, I see as Erev Rav policy to prevent Jews from relinquishing ties to the U. S. and moving to the only, true Jewish Homeland.

And by the way, just to be clear, I said "homeland," and not "state."

JPost Conference: There is Hope for American Jews Yet!

Nope. I am not talking about "hope for the Jewish People," due to the JPost Conference itself. As most of you know, I cannot stand the Jerusalem Post.

Christian News? I mean, seriously?

Well, I cannot stand Arutz 7 either, but slightly less than JPost. And in this case, Arutz 7 reported on an incident at the JPost Conference, which I believe JPost itself is still trying to figure out how to report.
Arutz 7: Treasury Secretary Lew Jeered, Embarrassed at US Jewish Event
President Obama has Israel's best interests at heart, Lew tells JPost conference - but unprecedented heckling ensues.

By Yaakov Levi, Gil Ronen, June 7, 2015

U.S. President Barack H. Obama has Israel's best interests at heart, believes his Treasury Secretary Jack Lew – but attendees of the Jerusalem Post Conference taking place in Washington this week weren't buying it.

As Lew proclaimed that “no administration has done more for Israel than the current one,” and that “we do not at all assume that Iran intends to act with innocent intentions,” a large number of audience members began hooting, booing, and yelling “nonsense,” as well as intoning sharper invectives.

Lew continued, saying that the U.S. “strategically assists Israel daily, and we stand against those who question Israel's legitimacy and right to exist.” This, too, earned audience opprobrium.

At one point, Lew was forced to stop speaking and address the audience response, saying that “I understand that we do not agree on everything, but there is no doubt of the commitment of President Obama to the State of Israel.”

President Obama
Lew, who is an Orthodox Jew, told the audience that he, too, was concerned over Israel's future and security. “We can never allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons,” he said to cheers this time. Even louder cheers came when he invoked the name of Israel's Prime Minister, saying that “Binyamin Netanyahu does not believe we can trust Iran.”

But Obama does, apparently, which was why the audience reacted so negatively, said one observer. “This was the worst I have ever seen a U.S. official ever treated in front of a pro-Israel audience,” he added.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Hmmm... Maybe I spoke too soon.

You see, after viewing this video, I felt there was still hope for American Jews, due the jeering of U. S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew.

However, Secretary Lew happened to be tuned into the displeasure of the audience, and realized that he would not be able to convince them of the absurdity of U. S. President Obama's love and friendship of Israel. So, he changed his tune, and as a result, the jeers turned into cheers.

So, questions remain. Are American Jews waking up? Is there hope for them?

Excuse me, but Exactly How is AIPAC Pro-Israel?

A Star of David embedded in a 5-pointed star?
I hate to ask what that means... embedded in...
Christianity? Wicca? Pentacles?

The "pro-Israel" lobby held it big, annual shindig this week. This is the same "pro-Israel" lobby, which backed down on sanctions against Iran, which would like to annihilate Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and AIPAC President Michael Kassen
AIPAC Conference,  March, 2014

Jewish Ledger: What do you see as AIPAC’s top priorities?
Michael Kassen: The underlying AIPAC mission is to help create a very tight relationship between the state of Israel and the U.S. – that’s at the core of our work. We do that first and foremost by working through legislation and through Congress. Our priorities every year include U.S. foreign aid, which is now entirely security assistance. Four or five years ago, some component of that aid was economic assistance to Israel; this year, President Obama’s budget includes a $3.1 billion request for fiscal 2013. That’s very, very important. Not only is the money important, but the overall security collaboration between our two countries is more so.
Hmm...but I suppose that sanctions against Iran,...what? Fell through the cracks? Or perhaps they did not serve in AIPAC's interest. Security funding? You mean keeping Israel financially and emotionally co-dependent the U. S.'s addiction to spending what it doesn't have. So, when the U. S. finally hits bottom (soon than you think!), where does that leave Israel? There is already talk about President Obama's cuts in aid to Israel's anti-missile defenses. Thanks, but no thanks!

Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) and Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD)
Rep. Eric Cantor, the Majority Leader in the U. S. House of Representatives, and who should not be having anything to do with the political scene of his country of exile, rather be here in Israel, where he belongs "told reporters that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had made a bold and very difficult decision by releasing Palestinian terrorists 'with a lot of blood on their hands.' In doing so, Israel has demonstrated a willingness for peace, but it was important for Israel to secure itself and secure its citizenry, said Cantor, who made the distinction between regular prisoners and terrorists with blood on their hands." (JPost.com)

This is supposed to be a pro-Israel stance?

Rep. Steny Hoyer, the Minority Whip in the U. S. House of Representatives, believes in a two-state solution. Giving away land Divinely promised and granted to the Jewish People is not only anti-Israel, it is pure hutzpah (gaul), if not worse.

Next on the list of AIPAC stars, we have "Rabbi" Felipe Goodman of Las Vegas. He is just a little bit too close to Christians for comfort, seemingly even providing some validation to their mythology. I wonder how his fellow Jewish "confusing Western concepts with Torah ones" Theological Seminary [JTS] feel about this.

Hey, "Rabbi!" We are supposed to be a separate and distinct People. Fraternizing with the [spiritual] descendants of Esau, is only relevant for our survival in the lands of our exile, where are no longer forced to reside.

AIPAC Activist indeed!

Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY), considered a "hawkish" pro-Israel activist, does not seem to mind Azza (Gaza) being choked economically. Sounds promising, no? But, he, too, believes in the two-state solution crap. Furthermore, he has somehow got it into his head that the majority of Israelis feel the same way. Hmm... maybe he considers Arabs to be Israeli, too.

Pro-Israel? "Hawkish," indeed! If Sen. Schumer wants to show how pro-Israel he is, then he can resign his position, pack his bags, and get on a plane to Israel already!

Pastor Chris Harris? Need I say more? A Christian choir at the AIPAC Conference? Hey, I am all for non-Jews supporting us from afar,...FROM AFAR. After all, it is in their benefit, more than ours (Gen. 12:3). We don't need any hanger-onners with ulterior motives, thank you very much!

Last, but definitely not least, is U. S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who has anything but Israel's best interests at heart. And, why should he? He is the U. S. Secretary of State, not the Israeli Secretary of State.

Pressuring Israel into a two-state solution, dividing the Eternal Capital of the Jewish People, Jerusalem, and stationing U. S. troops in Eretz Yisra'el (Land of Israel) for our so-called "protection" appears to be the least pro-Israel of them all, and thus providing the ultimate support for my contention that AIPAC is anything, but pro-Israel. How about some encouragement of Jews to leave the U . S., and to make aliyah (immigration to Israel)?
Just say, "No"
to AIPAC

I won't hold my breath.

Jews are just wasting their time hanging around the U. S., and slobbering over non-Jews, and the Jewish "celebrities" of the non-Jewish governmental system of one of our nations of exile.

It's Broken Record Time: New York is not Your Home; Israel Is!

So, yet another North American Jew, even another frum (Orthodox) Jew has made the "big time," being elected to state office. In the case of New York State Sen. Simcha Felder (D-17th-Kings County*), he has been in office for 13 months and a few days.

You can read all the details, including the controversies, of his political career on his Wikipedia page.

In the meantime, let's check out what the good State Senator had to say on the floor....

(Tip: Life In Israel)

Hmm...

OK. So, he talked about a proposed Senate Resolution honor a Jew man Rabbi Michoel Ber Weissmandl who spent much of his life rescuing Jews people from their ultimate demise during the Holocaust.

Did you pick up on the politically-correct manner in which he expressed his thoughts and feeling regarding this issue? (SIGH)

The manner in which he went about speaking on this proposal for a resolution was not wrong, per se. the fact that he is in a position where he follow such rules of politically-correct etiquette is.

So, I must add NY State Sen. Simcha Felder to the ever growing list of Jewish politicians, investing way too much time and energy for the sake of galuth (their lands of exile).

With all of the guff I give to Rabbi MK Dov Lipman (Yesh Atid), at least I can say that he is living in the only true Homeland of the Jewish People, and that his time and energies are more highly invested in the right direction, for the sake of Am Yisra'el.

Rb. Lipman and I may disagree (often). Nevertheless, he is here in Eretz Yisra'el; Sen. Felder is not.

Wanna wait around for Mashi'ah? That's fine (Well, it's not actually fine, but...), then at least invest your time and energy more directly in your own People.

Prominent "American Jews:" Where are their Investments Going?

Arutz 7: Prominent US Jews At Auschwitz Vow 'Never Forget'

Rep. Eric Cantor
(R-VA)
US House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and billionaire Stewart Rahr visit 'worst place on earth,' vow to apply lessons.

Yoni Kempinski, Ari Yashar, January 30, 2014

This past Monday, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a number of prominent American Jews were among the visitors to the Nazi death camp of Auschwitz in Poland. Eric Cantor, US House Majority Leader, who visited the camp for the first time, called it "the worst place on earth."

"As an American Jew I feel especially obligated now to take these lessons, put them to work, try to fight for what we stand for," said Cantor, highlighting the values of tolerance and freedom, and the fight for justice.

Manhattan billionaire Stewart Rahr noted that the message of the Holocaust, in which the Nazis pursued their genocidal plans and murdered roughly 6 million Jews, must be passed on to future generations. Rahr said he wanted to instill the message of "never forget."

Cantor said that the virulent anti-Semitism that led to the Holocaust still exists, specifying the threat of an "Iranian leader committed to the destruction of Israel" bent on acquiring nuclear weapons. He pledged to fight this existential threat.

The House Majority Leader visited Israel last August where he expressed support for Israel in opposing Iran. President Shimon Peres thanked Cantor for his efforts to tighten sanctions over the Islamic regime's nuclear program, sanctions which have been greatly weakened by US President Barack Obama lately.

Rahr, founder of the American pharmaceutical company Kinray, sponsored the purchase of twelve new rapid response motorcycles for Israel's United Hatzalah emergency medical organization. The donation was unveiled on Tuesday at a special ceremony in the Aish HaTorah center in Jerusalem.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
So, Eric Cantor and Stewart Rahr are good guys trying to do good things, and, in my opinion, are certainly being success at doing good things.

Cantor says the right things; Rahr buys the right things. I cannot say anything critical about that, or can I?

What irks me, of course, is Cantor's identification as an "American Jew." Sure, he is an American, and he is a Jew, so he is an American Jew. No arguments there. I was born and raised in the U. S., so whether I like it or not, to a degree, so am I.

But, like I ask so many "American Jews," I would like to ask Eric Cantor and Stewart Rahr, What are you two still doing there? Why are you so heavily invested in the country where you are strangers?

Probably the greatest consequences of our 1,700+ of Galuth (exile) is that through our amazing survival tactics, and various successes and contributions to our host nations, and gaining some level of acceptance, we have convinced ourselves that Galuth does not exist, and thus, this is one of our greatest challenges as a people.

Just as I have suggested to several other Jewish politicians in North America, instead of investing his abilities and energies into the Land of his Exile, Eric Cantor could be doing the same here, in Israel, his only true Homeland.

The motorcycles Stewart Rahr dontated to Hatzalah will no doubt assist in saving the lives of his fellow Jews. But, how about if Stewart Rahr really puts his money (and his influence) where his mouth is, and pick up and come live in his only true Homeland.

Yeah, I know. Some Jews are so entrenched in Galuth and in the Galuth mentality, this will into one ear, and immediately out the other.

Still, I refuse to give up on my brothers and sisters.

Montréal is Also Part of the Exile

Arutz 7: Montreal Votes In First Hassidic Female Council Member
In a landmark move for Hassidic, Jewish women's representation, Montreal elects Mindy Pollak, 24, to city council

Dalit Halevy, Tova Dvorin, November 8, 2013

Mindy Pollak, 24, has become the first Jewish representative to be elected for city council in Montreal, several news media outlets reported. The landmark decision is a first in Jewish representation in Quebec, but also as to the involvement of Orthodox Jewish women - specifically, Hassidic women - in the public sphere.

The elections, which were held last week, selected Pollak to represent the Montreal borough of Outremont, a district highly publicized in local media for the past several years due to an ongoing conflict between its large Orthodox Jewish population and other local residents, according to the website Hello, Toronto.

The conflict allegedly started over plans to extend a synagogue into public space. When the issue was brought to light, media coverage of the issue expanded the conflict into clashes of opinion between the locals and the Orthodox community, the former of which was critical of the way the Orthodox kept themselves separate from the wider Outremont community and specifically the Hasidic and Haredi ways of life, which are often more isolationist.

Pollak, a Montreal native, has been working to bridge the gaps between the two communities for several years. Her efforts have included establishing the group Friends of Hutchinson, which aims to bring the communities together to discuss the issues in an open and relaxed environment.

Pollak has worked to establish an environment of mutual understanding. Hopes are high that her election on the council will put the conflict permanently at rest.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Just I proclaimed to...
Rabbi Nachum Shifrin, when he was a candidate for the California State Senate,

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, when he was a candidate for the U. S. House of Representatives from New Jersey,

Joe Strauss, when he was re-elected Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives, and

Itamar Gelbman, when he was a candidate for the U. S. House of Representatives from Texas,
...regarding the United States of America...

Canadian (l) and Israeli (r) Commemorative Friendship Stamps
"Friends," but still the Exile

I will tell Mindy Pollack (who is apparently not Montréal's first councilor - see comment below) that Canada is not her Homeland. It is only a temporary way station before being able to return How nice it is that she wants to bridge that gaps between the Hassidishe and goyshe communities of Montreal. But does she waste he time? She, like any other Canadian, Québécois or Montréal Jew is now able to return to Eretz Yisra'el (Land of Israel), the only true homeland of the Jewish People.

Must I remind Mindy Pollack, that although I have no doubt her intentions are pure, and has the physical safety of her People in mind, the results of her activities have the potential for idsaster. After all, we are supposed to remain separate from the goyim. This issue alone has kept us viable.

Want to have a greater representation for your community? Want to bring them out of isolation? Then begin employing the only Jewish option to fulfill these desires, not to mention the only solution to prevent the escalation of Jew-hatred toward your community. Use the publicity, noteriety, and media access which comes with your position, and encourage Jews, not just in your constintuency, buy all around Montreal, Quebec, and Canada as a whole, to make Aliyah.

Set a deadline for yourself, when you will do the same, and set the greatest example that you can for your people in your section of Galuth (exile). After all, Montréal is also in Galuth.

Dear Itamar Gelbman, Israel Is Your Homeland!

14 of the Third Month 5772
The Jewish Reporter: Israeli Running For Congress Pledges To Stop 'Islamization' Of America
June 3, 2012
Itamar Gelbman says he was born in New York, raised in Israel, and now wants to be the next congressman from the Texas 6th District.

He’s stirred up emotions and debate by saying he wants to stop what he calls the “Islamization” of America.

(Tip Credit: Jews News)

Dear Itamar (אח שלי!),

I have said pretty much the same thing to Joe Straus and to Rb. Shmuley Boteach and to Rb. Nachum Shifrin.

Now, I'm going to say it to you.

What the hell are you doing running for office in the U. S.?!

Israel is the only true homeland of the Jewish People.  It doesn't matter what kind of experiences you had while growing up here, positive, negative, or both.  This is where you belong.

One of the greatest errors of our fellow Jews, both now and in times past, has been to become comfortable, dwelling permanently in a land not our own, a land foreign to us.

We did it in Egypt.  We did it in Spain.  We did it in Germany.  And we continue to do it in the U. S.  After all, it's not only safe for Jews in the U. S., it's fantastic for Jews in the U. S.!  Look at how successful we can be there.

But, what kind of success?  Money, money, money...  We can now "pass."  We're no longer even considered Jewish Americans (unless we want to be).  We're just plain ol' Americans.

Israel is not only where you belong, regardless of any "problems," you believe we may have here.  We have plenty.  There is no doubt about that.  Here is where you need to be investing your energies.  Even more so, we could always use someone who is interested in preventing 'Islamization.'  Even though it's Israel, I believe that we are severely lacking in this area.

Run for K'nesseth.  You certainly couldn't worse than any current MK.  Better yet, forget the K'nesseth.  Do something more useful, like grassroots activism, help prevent our children from marrying Arabs, or help English speakers here gain access to the real world taking place in Hebrew, or even open up a shwarmah shop, and convince one Israeli at a time of the dangers of its government sitting motionless on its proverbial tuchus, until non-Jews (ie. U. S., UN, EU) say jump, and give up more of our land.

I'm not even going to try to convince of the physical and spiritual dangers of remaining in the U. S.  My guess is that wouldn't do one damn bit of good.

Unlike like most non-Texans, I am aware of the rich, Jewish history of Texas.  Families struggling and then prospering for generations in Houston, and even in El Paso, of all places!

But, so what?!  Texas is no different than Egypt, or Spain, or Germany.  It's not where we belong.

Israel is our natural environment.  No one said it would be easy, quite the opposite, in fact. (See TB Berakhoth 5a).

But, Israel belongs to us, and we belong to Israel.

Come home!

The One Reason You Should NOT Vote For Rabbi Shmuely Boteach For Congress (NJ-9)

28 of the Twelfth Month 5772

JPost.com: "Rabbi To The Stars" Clinches GOP Nomination

Gil Schefler, March 18, 2012

Shmuley Boteach defeats 2 other candidates, cites Maccabees as inspiration.

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach has won the Republican nomination in the upcoming election for New Jersey’s 9th Congressional District.

The prolific author of books such as Kosher Sex and Kosher Jesus, who is also a columnist for The Jerusalem Post, handily defeated two other candidates on Thursday and will square off against an as yet to be selected Democrat in the November 6 vote. (Read the entire article)

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
There is only one reason why you should not vote for Shmuely Boteach.

It doesn't matter what you think about his many idiotic, unsupportable ideas on Torah.

It doesn't matter that he is so full of himself as "rabbi to the stars," like Michael Jackson, who wasn't even Jewish.

It doesn't matter if thinks that there is anything even remotely "kosher" about the Christian false deity, sometimes referred to as the "god on a stick."

It doesn't matter if he would do a good job or not as a member of Congress. Personally, I don't see how he could do any worse than someone else.

The ONLY reason why you should not vote for Shmuely Boteach, for a seat in the U. S. House of Representatives is that like every other American Jew, the U. S. is NOT his home!

The ONLY home of any Jew is the Land of Israel.

No Jew has any business getting involved with the goyshe politics of a strange land in which we are all strangers. Let the goyim worry about their own countries, including the U. S.

I said the same thing about Rabbi Nachum Shifren, the "Surfing Rabbi," whom I DO like, when he was running for a seat in the California State Senate. So, no one can complain of any bias or differential treatment on my part in this regard.

Sure, having Shmuely Boteah live around the corner for me, or even in the same country, will be a great challenge, with his charismatic ability to influence the uninformed masses, but it is a challenge which we must all share and meet.

After all, he is a Jew, and belongs at home, here in Israel with the rest of us.

This Is A Victory? A Jew Gets Re-Elected Speaker Of The Texas House Of Representatives

1 Hol HaMo'ed Pesah 5771
IsraelNN.com: Texas - Jewish House Speaker Re-elected Despite Smears

Gil Ronen

Tea Party opponents of Texas State Republican Representative Joe Straus fought unsuccessfully against his re-election to the position of Speaker of the House with an anti-Semitic campaign, FightHatred.com reported Wednesday.

The rivals stressed Straus' Judaism, ascribing negative stereotypes to him, while calling on fellow Republicans to place a "true Christian" in the important position. Despite the smear campaign against Straus, his colleagues voted to keep him on as speaker, and he went on to win the house vote. (Read the entire article...)

And this is supposed to be a victory? ...a victory against anti-Semetism, no less?

"Speaker" Joe Straus, the Tea Party does not want you. The "true Christians" do not want you.

What are you doing, worrying about what goes on in Texas anyway? You are a Jew. Your place is here in Eretz Yisra'el. It more than just a place for you to visit, and mull over your heritage. If you really are Jewish, this is your home, not Texas.

If you are offended by that suspicious tone, then good. You should be offended, and you should be passionate about your heritage, and the destiny of your people. You must understand, though, it is so hard to tell these days, with intermarriage, and pseudo-conversions.

We are in the middle of the holiday of Pesah (Passover); we just commemorated, not only our departure from Egyptian slavery last night with the Seder Leil Pesah, but the birth of Am Yisra'el, the People Israel, the people which The Holy One, Blessed Be He, took out of Egyptian bondage.

Leave the land of your exile, stop wasting time on the affairs of goyim, and come home.

Hey, U. S. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor,...the first Jewish House Majority Leader! Are you reading this?

What about...
Henry Waxman
Barney Frank
Gary Ackerman
Howard Berman
Sander M. Levin
Eliot L. Engel
Nita Lowey

Jerrold Nadler

Steve Cohen - Tennessee's first Jewish Congressman
Gabrielle Giffords - Arizona's first Jewish Congresswoman, Refu'ah Shelemah
John Yarmuth - Kentucky's first Jewish Congressman
Jared Polis

David Cicilline
All of these firsts are supposed to be a victory for Jews? They are victories for assimilation, for showing non-Jews that we are just like them, even though we are not, and even though they have never, and will never accept us as one of them.

You do not belong there, in the land of your exile. Leave, and come to your true home. If you enjoy politics, then have no worries. There is plenty of it here in Israel.

The same goes for the U. S.'s illustrious, Jewish Senators...
