Jews in Turkey, Move to Israel Now!

English follows the Hebrew.

YNET: Jews in Turkey under attack over Temple Mount crisis
Temple Mount crisis escalates into religious rift abroad, as Muslims in Turkey block entry into, and vandalize synagogues, threatening to 'come back again' unless Israel changes its policy.

Itamar Eichner, 23.07.17

Two threatening demonstrations and mounting cases of vandalism against synagogues in Turkey—apparently carried out with the regime's tacit support against the backdrop of the Temple Mount crisis—are raising concerns among the country's Jewish community.

On the night between Thursday and Friday, dozens of demonstrators attacked the Neve Shalom synagogue in Istanbul, threw rocks at the synagogue, kicked its doors and tried to break in.

Attacks in Turkey
At the entrance to the synagogue, a local leader of the Great Union Party, Korsat Michan, spoke out and accused Israel of "harassing our Palestinian brothers and damaging their freedom of worship."

"Either the Zionists get a grip, or we will come back here again," he said.

Some protesters shouted, "If you do not let us enter our holy place, we will not let you enter your holy place."

As protesters kicked the doors of the synagogue, two demonstrators climbed up the building and hung signs with pictures of the Dome of the Rock.

The Jewish community was stunned that the police patrol car—which regularly protected the synagogue as it is a target for terror attacks—had left the area shortly before the demonstration started. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Read enough of this tripe? Do you still want to travel to Turkey for a vacation?

The sad part isn't that the Turkish Muslims, like their Arab counterparts, hold such double standards dear to their hearts.

The sad part is that we Jews still believe that will can live "in peace" with these animalistic descendants of Yishm'ael.

I would also say that it is also very sad that we Jews have not yet to abandon the ridiculous concept of democratic pluralism. But, most Jews, even those with kippoth and residing in Eretz Yisra'el (the Land of Israel) are not ready to hear this, let alone accept it.

Where do they claim such a concept can be found in the Torah anyway? Or have they finally stopped trying.

But, I digress...

When I arrived in Israel 20 years ago, I met some Turkish Jews who were attending university here. I sad to hear that many of them "returned home." Will the current situation motivate them to come back to Israel, and bring many other Turkish Jews with them? Or will they remain in Turkey, hoping that the situation will improve, in other words, with their heads in the sand. And when the situation does improve, will they so easily forget the day their synagogues with vandalized? ...even though this wasn't the first time, and certainly will not be the last.
The Jewish community was stunned that the police patrol car—which regularly protected the synagogue as it is a target for terror attacks—had left the area shortly before the demonstration started.
Will they be stunned the next time, and police car leaves the scene? Will they be stunned the next time, when the police car is involved in the attack?

President Erdoğan
Like I said, the remainder of this report is not worth reading, except perhaps the report's conclusion:
On Saturday, Erdogan condemned Israel's "excessive force" in suppressing the demonstrations in protest against the placement of the metal detectors, calling the Palestinians killed in the riots "martyrs."
The Turkish president refrained from condemning the murder of policemen on the Temple Mount, calling the attack "an incident."
'Nuff said.

Is Israel's Land Grab Really a Land Grab?

Times Of Israel: Israel to announce major land appropriation in Jordan Valley
Government to declare 370 acres near West Bank settlement south of Jericho as state land in largest such seizure since 2014

Times of Israel staff, January 20, 2016

The Israeli government will announce the allocation of 370 acres of West Bank agricultural land near the Palestinian city of Jericho as state lands, the largest such land appropriation since August 2014.

The area, part of which has been worked in recent years by Israeli farmers, is situated north of the West Bank settlement of Almog, in the Jordan Valley, according to an Army Radio report on Tuesday. Additional details about the move were to be published Wednesday morning.

Israel has previously used an 1858 Ottoman law stating that land which lies fallow for several years could revert to government property as the legal basis for such moves.

The procedure was approved by Israeli government officials and was to receive final approval in the coming weeks, according to the report. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Now, while so called "right-wingers" will be hailing this as a victory (ie. table scraps), all you need to do is look at this map, to see how insignificant this piece of land is in the greater scheme of things, even if it has strategic significance, or treasure buried within it.

The red circle is the approximate area in question.
You would think that with all of the talk about the Jordan Valley, the State's insistence on controlling it for security reasons, and even rejecting the proposal of U. S. troops bring stationed there, that the Israeli Government would have been much bolder in its "appropriation" of land.

And what justification has the Israeli Government made for this land grab? Ottoman Law? Not clear, but certainly not Torah Law? This is the real problem with this lukewarm land acquisition. And they call this a Jewish state?

In fact, the State of Israel's so-called "Basic Law" is a mishmash of laws held over from both the Ottoman Empire and British Mandate, such as "administrative detention," which the British used to hold Jewish freedom fighters, and which is now used to hold Jews who write articles which the State does not like.

Supposedly anytime there isn't a law already on the books, someone in a back room somewhere is supposed to open up a mesekheth (tractate) of Talmud, to look it up.

Heaven forfend the State should stand up proudly, apply Torah Law to this "grab," and use the word "conquer."

Of course, this will not happen anytime soon. The State's own Minister of Defense has declared how dangerous those Jews are (link), who want a nation based on Torah Law. Worse yet, most of those in the K'nesseth wearing crocheted kippoth are highly confused over what Torah Law actually is. And all of them believe that Israel still sits in a state of weakness, in contrast to the strength of the goyim. Then there are those MK's who want to be goyim, and who are in denial regarding the Arab MK's desire to do more than just wipe out the [marginally] Jewish nature of the State.

But, regardless of which laws the State chooses to invent and to follow, many plots of land in Yehudah and Shomron (Judea and Samaria) have "been worked in recent years by Israeli farmers." Yet, there have not been any attempts by the Israeli Government to "appropriate" these areas.
US Ambassador Dan Shapiro (left) also said Monday that Washington was “concerned and perplexed” by Israel’s settlement policy which he said raised “honest questions about Israel’s long-term intentions.”
Who's that over there talking again? Dan Shapiro? The Jew who is in the role of ambassador, representing a non-Jewish nation to the "Jewish" State? Does that make any sense at all?

History has named such Jews "court Jews." But, what do I know? I am just one of those "extremist" Jews, who believes that as a nation, we should be moving in the direction toward Torah observance, not away from it.

And there would not be any "questions about Israel’s long-term intentions," if we did just that.

The Irony of the Boycotts Against Judea and Samaria

MK  Ahmed Tibi
Arutz 7: MK Tibi to Turkish News: Boycott Products from Judea-Samaria
MK Ahmed Tibi says Israelis must feel international pressure until they leave Judea and Samaria.

Dalit Halevy, 7/4/2015

MK Ahmed Tibi (Joint Arab List) has called on the international community to boycott products from communities in Judea-Samaria. In addition, he says that international pressure should be used to force Israel to abandon its "racist" policies against Palestinians. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
"Racist policies against Palestinians?" Is he serious?

There is nothing racist about EMPLOYING Palestinians Pseudostinians.

So, then Israeli businesses Yehudah and Shomron (Judea and Samaria) are forced to close, Arabs will be fired, and then what? The Palestinians Psuedostinians will just blame Israel, and try to milk some more guilt money out of the Israeli Government?

And, if these businesses move to other parts of the country, what Ahmed Tibi expect? That the Israeli government with grant even more work permits, so that these Arabs can maintain their employment with these "racist," Zionist companies?

Not only does Ahmed Tibi want Arabs to have their cake and to eat it, too, he wants them to have Eretz Yisra'el (Land of Israel), ALL of it!

But, I do not blame lying, terrorist lovers like Ahmed Tibi. Here is a video clip, in which he tells his fellow K'nesseth committee members that he is "proud to be Arafat's friend."

I blame the Jews who cry "democracy" and "equality," many of whom identify as "religious." It is their fault that our parents, brothers and sisters, and children, continue to get murdered.

Yassar Arafat ysh"w and Ahmed Tibi
The Arabs are just doing what Arabs do, lie, kill, rape, and steal. And the so-called "innocent" Arabs are, at the very least, forced to do reconnaissance in the Jewish towns where they are allowed into work. But, of course, Ahmed Tibi is not concern with that sort of oppression treatment of Palestinians Pseudostinians, who threatened with the murder of their wives and children, if they do not cooperate.

I blame my fellow Jews who allow them to continue to do what they do, but doing a half-ass job of protecting us, showing more concern for their image in the eyes of the "international community" goyim.

It is not only ironic that the pro-boycott Arabs are shooting their fellow, and much poorer, Arabs in the proverbial foot. It is ironic that Jews themselves are simultaneously fighting against the boycotts and running around, trying to prevent the Arabs from shooting themselves in the foot.

Instead it is the Jews who get shot in the foot,...and the chest,...and the head,...bombed,...knifed, and shot at by missiles.

Hamas's Five Year Ceasefire Proposal

YNET Report: Hamas discussing 5-year truce
Senior members said to be in Qatar to weigh accepting deal that would provide Gaza with a seaport in exchange for a halt in fighting.

Elior Levy, 06.16.15

Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani
Emir of Qatar
Leading members of Hamas are meeting in Qatar to discuss a proposal for a long-term ceasefire with Israel, the Palestinian Al-Quds newspaper reported Monday.

The truce proposal, which is backed by both Qatar and Turkey, is based on an outline formulated by UN special envoy to the Middle East Nikolay Mladenov, according to Israel Radio.

Israeli media reported that leading Hamas member Abu Marzouk arrived in Doha from Gaza on Saturday and held a series of meetings with Hamas leader Khaled Mashal, who lives in Qatar, as well as other senior officials in the organization.

Turkish Pres. Erdoğan
The truce proposal is said to stipulate that Israel allow the construction of a floating sea port off the Gaza coast, to be subject to Israeli or international supervision.
In return, Hamas would agree to cease fire for five years, with the possibility of extending it.

UN envoy Mladenov warned the Security Council last month that Gaza residents have become desperate, and that Israel and the Palestinians bear responsibility to prevent a collapse.
He also said Gaza residents were furious about the Israeli blockade, the closure of Rafah Crossing to Egypt (although it has been temporarily opened since), Hamas itself, and the international community that has failed to follow through on its commitments to help rehabilitate the Strip.

Khaled Mashal
About a year since Operation Protective Edge, the UN's report on its events is imminent. Diplomatic sources in Jerusalem suggested that the report will be released later this week.
Concerned that the Palestinians would leak the report, the Foreign Ministry released its own version of events on Sunday. It claimed among other things that Hamas forced Palestinian civilians to stay in battle zones.

The Israeli line of defense is that Hamas committed war crimes and that half of Palestinian fatalities were militant terrorists.
The calm that has settled over southern Israel since last summer was recently broken. Sporadic rocket launches were attributed by Gaza authorities to a radical Salafi organization opposed to Hamas.
The truce idea has come up in the past, at least since the Aug. 26 ceasefire that ended last summer's 50-day war between the sides, but Israel has strenuously objected to the Hamas demand for an airfield and sea port, fearing these would be used to bring in weapons.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
During so-called "ceasefires," while Israel was fortifying its bomb shelters and replacing outdated gas masks for the next time, Hamas was restocking its arsenal, digging tunnels for smuggling, training its next generation of Jihadists, otherwise known as "summer camp."

And, of course, the Hamas proposal would not cover its rivals', the Salafis', rocket launching endeavors.

So, are we really going to be stupid enough to fall for that one again (...and again, and again, and again)?

Yeah. Probably.

So, what does that say about us?

Jews Want to Flee Turkey! Good!

Arutz 7: Turkish Jews Hopeful After Elections, But Fear Crackdown
Chairman of Turkish Jewry org says 'people with whom I am in touch say that because of the situation, they want to flee the country.'

Nitsan Keidar, June 9, 2015

President Erdoğan
The Turkish elections ended Sunday, leaving an uncertain political future in their wake, as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to struggle to form a coalition.

But despite the uncertainty for the country's overall stability, figures involved with the Turkish Jewish community are convinced that the change will probably be positive.

"Anything that will reduce the power of the person who is trying to avoid freedom and democracy [i.e. Erdogan - ed.] is good for every citizen, whether he is Jewish or not," Eyal Peretz, chairman of the Turkish community organization in Israel, Arkadas, stated in a special interview with Arutz Sheva on Tuesday. "Certainly the Jews are the first to suffer from his rule."

However, Peretz tempered his praise with a note of caution: anyone against Erdogan's rule may face an even greater crackdown following the election results.

"The Jews [in Turkey] rarely make statements about politics, because they feel threatened," Peretz warned. "But there is a huge portion of the Turkish public which is secular, [and] people with whom I am in touch say that because of the situation, they want to flee the country."

Peretz added that, while there is no specific data on the phenomenon, there is a huge trend for young Turks to emigrate due to the rise of Islamic religious extremism.

Meanwhile, he predicts, Opposition parties will refuse to cooperate with Erdogan no matter what - out of self-preservation.

"Erdogan is going to be a ruler like Assad, Gaddafi or Saddam Hussein," he said. "Is there a party that, in exchange for power, would risk the possibility that the president would eliminate the possibility of future elections? In Turkey, I think the answer is 'no."

Erdogan has a long and seasoned history of anti-Semitism, and he recently accused the New York Times of being critical of his rule due to "Jewish capital."

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Jews in Turkey need to get out of there.

Jews in Turkey, or anywhere else for that matter, who think they can depend on any human leader to save them, have got another thing coming.

Although living in a Muslim country, many Jews in Turkey have some of the same difficulties holding them back from leaving their country of birth, not unlike those of Jews in the U. S. and South Africa. It is very comfortable for them.

Those Jews wanting to get out of Turkey should be encouraged. I would not even call it "feeling,..." yet.

Remember, a Jew is not "quitting," nor "letting them win," by leaving their country. Rather, such Jews are simply finally getting the message, and picking up and moving to their only Homeland, and that Homeland is Israel.

Where did Jews Spend their Passover Vacations?

YNET: Tens of thousands of Jews living abroad come to Israel for Passover
Tourism ministry estimates about 125,000 visitors will arrive in Israel for Jewish holiday.

Noam (Dabul) Dvir, April 14, 2014

Tens of thousands of Jews living abroad arrived in Israel this week to share the Passover Seder with family members in the Holy Land.

"It's good to come here for Passover; the weather here is excellent and in Denmark it's cold," said Emil Denino who arrived from Copenhagen with his daughter for a Seder in Haifa.

"It's not my first time," he said, "but it's my daughter's first time in Israel as an adult. Last time we came she was just three-years-old. It's very exciting for us to be here for Passover." (cont.)

Well, that's nice. Maybe they will stay, or at least have a nice experience, encouraging them to return someday soon. Meanwhile,...

YNET: Israelis flock to Turkey for Passover
Some 24,000 Israelis to spend Jewish holiday in resort city of Antalya, a 150% increase in number of passengers from last year.

Danny Sadeh, April 12, 2014

Thousands of Israelis are heading to the Turkish resort city of Antalya for the Passover holiday, after years of avoiding Turkey's "all-inclusive" clubs due to the country's strained diplomatic relations with Israel.

The reason is mainly economical. "At these prices, one doesn't think twice," one of the Israeli tourists explains. (cont.)
According to what I saw on Ynet.co.il, the most popular destination out of Ben-Gurion International Airport this Pesah was Turkey, more specifically, Antalya.
Turkish PM Erdoğan

Such short memories we have.

We apologized to Turkey for defending our borders against hostile, invading thugs, armed with knives and iron bars, and losing one of our soldiers in the process.

Then history repeats itself, when the apology is not considered to be good enough.

Yet, all the Israeli tourist mentioned above can continue saying is...
"I'm not in favor of boycotts anywhere. I have a vacation package here with a price no one can compete with. Apart from that, I know the Turks are yearning for tourists from Israel."
We are indeed a "stiff-necked people" (Ex. 32:9). But I am not entirely sure that the Torah was referring to our self-destructive tendencies of today.

Actually, now that I think about it, it quite possible was.

Israel, The Philippines, and Typhoon Haiyan

The Philippines has been devastated by one of the biggest storms our planet has ever experienced.

Typhoon Haiyan
Approaching the Philippines (pink outline-left) from the east.
And, like it was with Greece, Turkey, and Haiti, during their respective natural disasters, it's Israel to the rescue.
Israel Hayom: Israel sends disaster relief team to Philippines
Eli Leon, Nitzi Yaakov, Lilach Soval, Shlomo Cesana, News Agencies and Staff, November 11, 2013

A joint Foreign Ministry and Homefront Command advance team left for the Philippines on Sunday night as part of Israel's effort to offer disaster relief in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan.
The Category 5 super-storm ravaged six central Philippine islands over the weekend, displacing more than 600,000 people and leaving 10,000 people dead -- a figure authorities believe will grow as rescue operations continue. (cont.)
Not only that, Israel made quite an impression.
NBC: Dr. Nancy Snyderman 'in awe' of Israeli medics in Philippines
The Israeli Defense Force has responded to the crisis in Philippines by setting up a high-tech system to track each patient in Bogo. Many of the survivors in this area are suffering from dehydration, fever and diarrhea. NBC's Dr. Nancy Snyderman reports.
Dr. Nancy Snyderman, Chief Medical Editor, November 15, 2013
MACTAN, Philippines -- I've always been fascinated by how well the Israeli Defense Force, otherwise known as the IDF, delivers emergency response medical care in extremely poor conditions. My first experience with the IDF was in Haiti after the devastation of the earthquake there. They were remarkable then, triaging and treating patients in the midst of the devastation...
...I asked the IDF Surgeon General in charge why they chose Bogo. He said it was because they were poor and their needs were great. As I left, I walked away in awe of this group of doctors: physician humanitarians, and medicine at its very best.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
The question is why did we go?

Unfortunately, Israelis have also become experts in matching body parts to one another, due to the Torah's strict burial requirements. Zak"a has traveled around the world (India) bringing this service abroad.

No one says anything when wealthy Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia do not participate. No one says anything when wealthy Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia deals harshly with their illegal immigrants, while Israel gets called racist for not allowing even more illegals within its borders.

Is it wrong to help other countries? Neighboring countries such as Turkey and Greece, and even Europe, you make an argument for Derech HaShalom,...maybe,...barely.

Helping [Voo-Doo] Haiti? Helping The [Catholic] Philippines? Oh, "they" will want to tell you what a Qedushath HaShem it its to help foreign peoples,...who also happen to worship avodah zarah. I cannot say for certain that these people have suffered as punishment for their avodah zarah, or for bringing it to Israel, and leading Jews astray with it. I am most certainly not on that kind of level. The Ramba"m, on the other hand, just might be.
It maybe by mere chance that a ship goes down with all her contents,...or a roof goes down on all those within; but it is not due to chance, according to our view, that in the one instance the men went into the ship, or remained in the house in the other instance: it is due to the will of God, and is in accordance with the justice of His judgments, the method of which our mind is incapable of understanding.
Ramba"m, The Guide to the Perplexed, 111:17
And, if it is forbidden to help these people within Eretz Yisrael,...
Ramba"m: The Laws of Avodah Zarah and Statutes of the Goyim10:3 [2] From here you learn that it is forbidden to heal practicioners of foreign worship, even for pay; and if there is fear of them, or fear of hostility--one heals them for pay, but for free, it is forbidden....
Are we that afraid of an attack, if we don't help them? We, here in Israel, are at risk of an attack every second which passes. The fact that Jews reside in Israel, puts us at risk for such an attack, already. So, I cannot buy that. As far as the inyan of "Derech HaShalom" is concerned, can you spell C-O-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-C-E?

Harming Ourselves by Helping Others
When there are homeless and hungry people in our own country (not to mention those getting beaten up by other foreigners), then we need to take another very close look at this.
Ramba"m: Laws of Gifts for the Poor7:10 [11] One who gives tzedaqah more than is appropriate for him, or which causes himself harm, and gives to the collector in order that he would not be embarrassed--it is forbidden to require of him or to collect tzedaqah from him. and the collector who shames him and does ask of him [tzedaqah], will be dealt with in the future, as it is said, "...and I will punish all that oppress them" (Jer. 30:20)
I recently got an e-mail from an excellent, charitable organization, requesting donations for blankets for IDF soldiers. I pray that they will be successful. But, this just begs the question,...

"Why is it that the IDF not able to supply its soldiers with enough blankets, yet it is able to take a massive mission to the Philipines?

And what of the votes by the Philippines on various UN resolutions these past few weeks?

Oh, many of you will that one has nothing to do with the other, that the IDF should bend over backwards for Esau who wants to steal our souls and take our land, AND for Yishma'el who wants to kill us and take our land.

Payback?
Does Israel feel an obligation to help The Philippines, as payback for the cheap labor they provide?

Here in Israel, we are so dependent on foreign labor, particularly from the Philippines, that the Israel's Postal Service provides deals for money transfer outside of Israel, and information in Tagalog, the primary language of Philippinos.

The Post Office also serves as distribution points for Philippinos very own avodah zarah magazine, Manila Tel Aviv. They even have their own Philippina in Israel beauty pageant, for which I refuse to post a photo, for obvious reasons.

But, none of this really matters, except to add fuel to our co-dependent, nebachy fire. Why are we doing this? For the same old reasons, since before getting expelled from Spain 521 years ago: habitual assimilation, and seeking of validation and acceptance  from an external source, the goyim (non-Jews).

Kurdistan

Now, I am usually not too concerned with the struggles of other nations outside of Israel. But, the plight of the Kurdish people is an interesting one. The artificial slicing up of the Middle East by the United Nothings and British government not only harmed Israel (in so many ways), but messed with several other peoples, most in particular, the Kurds.

Syrian Kurdish Autonomy Has Regional Implications
July 31, 2013
Since Syrian government officials and troops abandoned the northeast of Syria to concentrate on preserving the regime in the west of the country, the Kurdish minority population there has been able to virtually govern itself. Elections are even planned to form a Kurdish assembly.

The reasons why I am particularly interested in the Kurds are:

1. I could not really care about the Arabs killing each other off, as long as is does not spill over into Israel.

2. Kurdish autonomy has always been a bane to those countries with significant Kurdish populations: Armenian genocide perpetrator Turkey, the already divided Iraq, the completely torn-apart Syria, and the pride-driven, new Persian Empire of Iran. Being a bane to these countries is a good thing.

3. Relations between Kurds and those Jews living in the area have been known to be heads and tails better than those between other muslim groups and their local, Jewish populations. Various reports over the years have suggested mutually beneficial relations between the Kurds and Israel, including the providing of military training, which I suppose is possible, given the proverb, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."* Even more so, as I do not even see the Kurdish People as our enemies.

Map of redrawn international borders to include Kurdistan from Dr. Jawad Mella
(*with some editing to account for the territories of Reuven, Gad, E. Menashe,
and the northern parts of Asher and Naftali)
Israel - enlarged from the map above.
4. If the Kurds succeed in achieving more and more autonomy in Iraq, and now, it potentially seems Syria, there could be a domino effect within Turkey and Iran,...or more massacres (alla Islamic style).

5. Any movement towards Kurdish autonomy could trigger the same inside of Israel. No, I am not even talking about Yehuda and Shomron (Judea and Samaria), that which Arabs claim is the mythical, ancient country of "Palestine." Rather, I am talking about the areas dominated by populations of Arabs with Israeli passports. They are an oxymoron, I know. Nonetheless, they exist. Dagestan and South Osetia already have seemed to "give them ideas." An ethnic minority declaring autonomy within a sovereign country?

And, no one but Israel will see the differences. Unlike the Dagestanians, Osetians, and Chechens, Arabs never had any autonomy here in their host country (May our hosting of them end soon!), not to mention any historical connection to it, other than as invading marauders a pillagers, at the various times in history when Israel was in a weakened state.

Historically wanderers, many Bedouin clans will follow suit, if they had not already begun the final push for autonomy themselves. And, who knows what the traditionally non-geographically nationalistic Druze might do, when they see the weakening central power of the Israeli government? Israel's government already seems to be showing signs of giving up on the Galilee, the home of many Bedouin clans and Druze, in addition to Jews.
18 "In that day the Lord made a covenant with Avram, saying: 'To your seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates.' 19 the Kenite, and the Kenizzite, and the Kadmonite, 20 and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Rephaim, 21 and the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Girgashite, and the Jebusite.'" - Genesis 15:18-21
6. On a more positive note, I noticed that most maps of a liberated Kurdistan showed the Tigris River as its southwestern border. The roughly parallel Euphrates River will be Israel's future border to its east, as promised to the People of Israel by The Almighty in His Holy Torah (May it soon be so!). And so, perhaps, it might be to the benefit of Israel to have a neighbor, also struggling for it believes to be its rightful territory, yet which does not conflict with the notion of our rightful territory (See above), especially if they do some of the work for us.

Food for thought.

A Look At Israel's Neighbors: Cyprus

Some remember our neighbor Cyprus as a highly unpleasant layover on the way to Israel, after surviving the horrors of the Holocaust.

Some see our neighbor Cyprus as a popular vacation destination, the perfect alternative to Greece and Turkey, whenever they remember that they hate Jews, in spite of the tourism money they bring to their respective countries.

Still others see Cyprus as justification for our hanging on to Yehudah and Shomron (Judea and Samaria). Either way you look at it, someone IS occupying part of Cyprus. On the contrary, Israel is simply taking what The Almighty promise it, and granted us another chance to hold onto it in 1948, and again in 1967.

However, very few in Israel appear to be terribly concerned, let alone talking about the current financial crisis in Cyprus. The Cypriots have got it worse than the Greeks, Spanish, or Portuguese ever did.

In other words, it's bad. The Banksters* took their money.

Not so coincidentally, and not so funny, this ad popped up in my Google Ads the other day. Anyway, want to go to Cyprus?

No thanks.

I have heard that the Cypriots are not armed. But, if they were, then there already would have been quite a few deaths from riots and targeted assassinations.

So, everyone thinks it couldn't happen to us? Not in Israel, with its propped-up illusion of an economy?

Time to start storing water, everyone. Lifta is just too far away to be schlepping re-filled bottles of water back home.

Call me crazy, but I said its high time I got prepared. What about you?

See What Happens When Israel Apologizes?

PM Erdoğan shouting
Granted, this whole chapter started long before last week's co-dependent "apology" from Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan. Nonetheless, several disturbing questions have arisen.

Even if YNET and the Turkish government cannot be trusted to have an accurate picture of reality (and they can't), important, albeit old and boring, information can be drawn from the following article.

My Esser Agaroth (2¢) analysis is interspersed within the article in blue italics.
YNET: Wide Gaps In Israel-Turkey Compensation Talks
Ankara, Jerusalem at odds over compensation to families of Turkish nationals killed during raid on Gaza-bound ship. Turkey wants Israel to pay $1M to each family; Israel willing to pay $100,000; joint committee to discuss issue in coming days

Israel and Turkey are in disagreement over the compensation the Jewish state is to pay to the families of the nine Turkish nationals who were killed during the IDF raid on the Gaza-bound ship in May 2010.

Israel wants to pay a total of $1 million to the families, while Turkey is demanding that each family receive $1 million.

A year ago Jerusalem and Ankara agreed that the money would not be transferred directly to the families. Rather, the money is to be transferred to a humanitarian fund headed by the Turkish government, which will distribute it.

Israel agreed to pay $100,000 to each family, while the Turks are demanding $1 million for each of the families of those killed during the commando raid on the Mavi Marmara. Israel refused, and suggested paying the same amount paid by the Turkish army to the families of its fallen soldiers – 125,000 Turkish liras, or some $70,000.
Considering these barbarous thugs anything even remotely like "fallen soldiers" is offensive. Where is the outrage?
PM Erdoğan shouting
Justice Minister Tzipi Livni discussed the compensation with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. The countries agreed to set up a joint committee to deal with the compensation issue. The committee will be headed by Feridun Sinirlioglu, undersecretary of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a former ambassador to Israel, as well as by Benjamin Netanyahu's National Security Adviser Yaakov Amidror and Attorney Joseph Ciechanover, the prime minister's special envoy.

Turkey’s Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said Monday that officials delegated by the two sides will work on the compensation issue. "We gave the kickstart for it today," he told reporters after a weekly cabinet meeting. He called the negotiations "a big success of Turkish foreign policy."
Translation: We've got those Israelis by the proverbial family jewels!
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan clarified on Tuesday that the normalization of diplomatic ties between Israel and Turkey will occur only if Israel implemented its side of the deal with Turkey. "We are waiting to see what will happen on the ground soon. If they (Israelis) show positive and promising steps – we will do our part as well," he said.
Translation: When the Israelis cave, then we'll thrown them a bone, a very small bone, for which they should be VERY grateful.
Erdogan said Israel had agreed to lift the embargo on Gaza. Until now Turkey demanded that the "blockade" on Gaza be removed. It is estimated that Turkey changed its wording after realizing the Israel will not lift the blockade but will agree to allow more goods into the Hamas-ruled territory.
Translation: Israel is SO desperate for acceptance and validation from non-Jewish nations that it is willing to feed its enemies wanting to annihilate us. But, it's "OK," since Turkey changed the wording of the agreement. In the collective mind of the Israeli government, perhaps it believes that with that, it will successfully keep the Jewish People numbed out and in denial about what is really happening:
1. The Israeli government is failing miserably at protecting its citizens.
2.  It thinks that getting the non-Jewish nations to like and accept us will "make everything alright," even though that strategy has failed in the long run in each and every generation since the expulsion from Spain in 1492, in not earlier than that.

OR WORSE

3. The Israeli government doesn't care about its own people.

OR STILL WORSE

4. The Israeli government is actively trying to destroy itself.
Take your pick.
Erdogan said Tuesday that his government had rejected several Israeli proposals for reconciliation before the two countries agreed to normalize their relations.

According to Erdogan, Turkey insisted on three major conditions for the improvement of relations with Israel that included the use of the word "apology," Turkey's Hurriyet newspaper reported.

"$10,000,000!"
In a meeting with fellow party members Erdogan said, "We constantly gave them three conditions. An apology. They wanted to express sorrow, but we said no. We wanted the word apology.”
Translation: An apology indicates an acknowledgement of full responsibility; whereas, an expression of sorrow does not.
The Turkish prime minister claimed that Israeli officials had agreed to pay compensation to the Marmara victims' families but were reluctant to meet Ankara's two other demands: an apology and an end of the Gaza blockade. "“They said, ‘Isn’t it enough if we pay?’ We said no,” Erdogan told party members.
Translation: The Turkish want to make Israel look bad by suggesting that it believes that money will fix everything.

Mr. Netanyahu, would you please remember this rule of thumb from now on?

Give them a penny, and they'll take a pound,...one million dollars worth.

Oh, yeah, and why ARE you bothering with a country which, any day now, is going to fall into the hands of Islamic fundamentalists anyway?

Adele (bat Advah) Biton
People are reading about, thinking about, and talking about crap, and ignoring important things, like  This kind of thing used to bother me. It still does, but not for the same reasons.

Now, it bothers me, because my experience tells me that this has been in the press, and has dragged out way too much. In other words, just what exactly are "they" trying to distract us from?

Is this some sorry attempt at diverting the outraged news media over the due to an Arab rock attack, in what is supposed to be "safe" part of the Shomron (Samaria)?

I would not put it past "them."

So, here's all the crap which has recently transpired, and appears to be mesmerizing everyone. And by mesmerizing everyone, I mean distracting and confusing everyone.

PM Erdoğan shouting
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu expresses an apology over the deaths of a pack of thugs with iron bars and knives, who were killed in self-defense by the Israeli troops who had boarded the boat for inspection.

U. S. President Obama believes this crap about having the restoration of Israeli-Turkish ties in his pocket.

Supposedly symbolic Israeli President Peres thinks this crap about Israel and Turkey having 1,000 reasons to be friends.

PM Erdoğan shouting
And they both seem to be wrong, because in response, Turkish Prime Minister Erdoğan has been talking crap about how Israel should not expect normal ties despite Netanyahu's apology, and then there is this crap about his planning a trip to Gaza

If you cannot connect the dots on your own here, then you are delusional.

There is nothing more that needs to be said.

Well, there is one thing I will say about Netanyahu's apology, which came about with some arm-twisting by Obama. Here is what I think of this apology.

PM Erdogan wondering
I have often said that "South Park" is one of the greatest commentaries (ie. accurate) on American society and culture.

Unfortunately, with or without knowing it, it appears that "South Park" is fast becoming one of the greatest commentaries on Israeli politics.

Whoever is in charge, Likud, Labor, Bennett, Lapid...None of it matters. The Israel government is more worried about crap, what outsiders think about it, than the life of one of its 3-year-old citizens hanging in the balance, due to terrorist thugs. They weren't armed with iron bars or knives, just rocks. It doesn't make a difference. A weapon is a weapon is a weapon, and by any other name, a weapon.

Where is Adele (bat Advah) Biton's apology?

Turkey vs. Syria: What About The Kurds?

YNET: Syrian Soldiers Killed in Turkish Strike
Turkey continues to bombard Syrian posts following mortar attack that killed five Turks; Turkish parliament set to discuss further military action

Turkish artillery hit targets inside Syria on Wednesday, killing several Syrian soldiers according to activists, after a mortar bomb fired from Syria killed five Turkish civilians and prompted NATO to call for an immediate end to Syria's "aggressive acts."

In the most serious cross-border escalation of the 18-month uprising in Syria, Turkey hit back at what it called "the last straw" when a mortar hit a residential neighborhood of the southern border town of Akcakale. (cont.)
I'm going to hazard a guess that this back and forth has something to do with the Kurds.

The Turks, who wiped out countless Armenians, and still deny, and repeatedly said they would "mix in,' even in Iraq, if they sensed any threat of Kurdish nationalism.

The last thing they want is a Kurdish state, or even anything even remotely more autonomous than what the Kurds currently have in Northern Iraq.  The Turks are afraid of their own Kurdish population "getting out of hand."

Why I am suspicious that this back and forth between Turkey and Syria has something to do with the Kurds?  Unless I missed them, Kurds have been conspicuously absent from any of the mainstream news reports.  (Did I miss them?)  And yet, too perfect of an excuse to go after some Kurds, under the guise of defending against the highly unstable situation in Syria.

This is not the first skirmish along this border.  And, I suspect that it will not be the last.

There is constant debate, in Israel at least, as to which country will be the next to fall to Islamic extremism.  Algeria?  Turkey?  Even Jordan?  Perhaps the fall of Egypt is already in progress....

My guess is that we will not see any significant move in this direction, until it gains full membership in the European Union.
"At the siege of Vienna in 1683 Islam seemed poised to overrun Christian Europe.  We are in a new phase of a very old war." - Gates Of Vienna Blog
To break through the gates of Vienna this time, they are using very different methods.

In the meantime, let's keep an eye on what happens with the Kurds, one of the only peoples left on this earth without some kind of control over their homeland.

The pride of the Turkish government may overpower them yet, ruining their chances of accelerated infiltration into Europe through membership in the European Union.

Turkey To Israel: "We're Happy To Take Your Money, But We'll Criticize You Anyway."

24 of the Twelfth Month 5772
YNET: Turkey Calls On Israeli Tourists To Return
Speaking at Serbia Tourism Fair, deputy tourism minister says Antalia and Istanbul 'miss' Israeli tourism

Itamar Eichner, March 14, 2012

Turkish Deputy Minister of Tourism Ozgur Ozaslan expressed his hopes that return to Turkey. The government official spoke over the weekend with Israeli Ambassador to Serbia Yossef Levy.

"Antalia and Istanbul miss the Israeli tourists" said Ozaslan.

The two officials spoke during the opening event of the Serbian international tourism fair. The fair is hosting over 1000 presenters from 46 countries. This is the first time the Israel Ministry of Tourism is participating in the fair. Regardless, the guest of honor at the Serbian fair was Turkey - the most important destination for Serbian tourists. The opening event included a screening of a Turkish image video, and a traditional Ottoman dance.

During the fair, Deputy Minister Ozaslan met with the Israeli ambassador, and expressed his hopes for more cooperation between the countries in the future. "I hope the Israeli tourists will return to Turkey, we miss them," said the deputy minister.

Ambassador Levy replied that as soon as the good relations between the countries will be restored, tourism will flourish. "Israel tourists will probably return to Turkey when they will feel welcome and liked. Unfortunately this is not the situation today," he said.
Diplomat Levy was being VERY diplomatic, and WAY too nice, but was essentially correct.

Why should we even think about spending even one sheqqel in Turkey? (...or Jordan? ...or Egypt?)

They've all got some hutzpah, expecting us to return to their country to throw our money around, while they continue to criticize Israel's policy's and actions toward defending itself. The Turks cannot even guarantee our safety while we are there!

My advice to Israelis is to visit your own country first. There is lots to see here, and that includes a historical and educational.

Never been to Hevron? Shiloh? Tzfath? Tiveria? Naharia? Mitzpeh Ramon? How about the Golan?

The multiple sites, festivals, climates, and attractions of Israel await you!

What Are Jews Still Doing In Tunisia?

Purim Qatan 5771

Another article caught my eye, in which what is found between the lines is even more telling than what is on the lines themselves. But, isn't that always the case?

My comments can be found in blue italics.
YNET: Terror Threat: Number Of Israeli Embassies Closed

Heightened alert level apparently related to anniversary of Mughniyeh assassination; in Tunisia, Islamist rally outside synagogue, chant 'Allahu Akbar' and 'Muhammad's army will return'

Ynet Reporters, February 17, 2011

A number of Israeli embassies around the world have been temporarily closed due to what the Foreign Ministry called on Tuesday "irregular incidents against Israeli targets."
Irregular?? There is nothing irregular about them, just business as usual.
Israeli embassies abroad have also raised their alert level, while in Tunisia the Jewish community turned to the government for protection after Muslims rallied outside a synagogue in the capital.
They looked to whom, for what??!! That's like mice asking the "good cats" to protect them against the "bad cats." Both enjoy ripping mice apart. But, the "good cats" prefer to toy with their prey a little longer than the "bad cats."
The Foreign Ministry did not say which embassies were closed. It is estimate that the heightened alert level is connected to the third anniversary of top Hezbollah commander Imad Mughniyeh's assassination.

Last week the Counter Terrorism Bureau warned that the threat against Israelis abroad had increased, with a special emphasis put on Egypt, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, the Ivory Coast, Mali, Mauritania and Venezuela.

The bureau also mentioned the elimination of former Hezbollah Secretary General Abbas Mousawi, who was killed by Israel in 1992. The bureau recommended that Israelis travelling abroad avoid places where large groups of Israelis can be found and obey local security forces' directives.

Hezbollah claims Israel was behind Mughniyeh's assassination in Damascus and has vowed to "avenge his death."

In Tunisia, radical Islamists gathered outside a synagogue in Tunis and chanted anti-Semitic slogans. Footage taken from the scene shows them chanting "Allahu Akbar" and "Khaybar, Khaybar. Oh Jews, Muhammad's army will return". They were referring to the Battle of Khaybar, which was fought in the year 629 between Muhammad and his followers against the Jews living in the oasis of Khaybar, located 150 kilometers (95 miles) from Medina in the modern-day Saudi Arabia.

Local Jews turned to the transitional government, which replaced the regime of deposed president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali last month, and expressed their concern over the apparent rise in anti-Semitic incidents in the country. "This incident can repeat itself; some groups want to take advantage of the political vacuum in the country," said Roger Bismuth, head of the local Jewish community.

Bismuth said Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi asked that local Jews remain alert.
Now, that's what you call a "good," Muslim Prime Minister! he actually gives the Jews residing in a country a heads-up to the impending violence against them!
In a statement on the official TAP news agency, the PM's office condemned acts of extremists at places of worship.
But, other places are OK, then??
“These people have no other motive than to attack the values of the republican regime based on the respect of freedom and belief, tolerance and peaceful co-existence ... and the guarantee of the exercise of civic rights,” it said.

The ministry said it would “spare no effort to safeguard these values and opposes all those who want to incite violence or discord between the Tunisian people and disturb public security.”
Of course, Jews are not considered to be "Tunisian people." No matter how hard Jews in Galuth (Diaspora) continue to try, they will never be considered to be "part of" their foreign countries of residence.
Muslim Tunisia is home to about 1,600 Jews, most of whom live on the southern island of Djerba where its most important synagogue, reputed to be the oldest in Africa, is based and draws thousands of pilgrims every year.
Pilgrims? We are supposed to make pilgrimages to Jerusalem, not to Djerba (or Germany, or Poland, or Brooklyn,...).
It is one of the largest Jewish communities in the Arab world but significantly down from a population of 100,000 at independence from France in 1956, after which the government promulgated anti-Jewish decrees.
So, what are the rest of the Jews still doing there? Waiting for the next pogrom?

True, the non-Jewish Agency is too busy bringing goyim into Israel from foreign countries, to be bothered with the plight of Jews living amongst the savage Yishma'elim (Arabs/Muslims) . Nonetheless, what are our brethren in Tunisia doing to make the effort to get out themselves?
In April 2002 a suicide bomber rammed the wall of the Djerba synagogue with a lorry (truck) laden with natural gas...
How many suicide bombings have to occur before the Jews get the message?
...in an attack claimed by Al-Qaeda that killed 14 German tourists, five Tunisians and two French visitors.
Of course, here, the news does not differentiate between Jews and non-Jews. It could have been a great tragedy, or a great miracle. But, we will never know from this news source.
Tunisia’s interim government is struggling to stabilize the country since the fall of president Ben Ali a month ago after a groundswell of street protests, and fears new violence.
Over the past several weeks with riots, protests, what have you, in Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain, the West acts so surprised, as if violence and Yishma'elim have never been used in the same sentence before.

Then, when the can no longer deny the violence, they call it euphemisms like "revolution" and "pro-democracy demonstrations."

C'mon! This has all happened before, and it will happen again. "Democratic reform" is the farthest thing from these Arabs' minds!

The eventual outcome of all of these "revolutions" will be Islamic rule. Battles for control over the burgeoning, New Caliphate, are only years, if not months, away. The precursors, in the form of factional infighting, have already begun.

And everyone who is blind nor plagued by insanity knows it.
