Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel, head of the Jewish Home party's Tekuma faction, said Wednesday that he would support the establishment of a seaport in the Hamas terror enclave of Gaza if such a proposal was brought before the government.
The topic has been raised in earnest recently as it is one of the demands of Turkey, a staunch ally of Hamas, in its rapprochement talks with Israel. Ankara is already planning a $5 billion project to rebuild Gaza, with a central part of the plan to be a seaport.
Israel has firmly refused the demand due to the blatant threat of Hamas using the seaport to smuggle in weapons, as the group has constantly been attempting to do even without the port.
But Ariel wrote on his Twitter account: "If the security arrangements were approved by the IDF, I would support the establishment of a sea port in the (Gaza) Strip."
"Zionism and settlement go together with economic and regional development," he wrote. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Minster Uri Ariel was the last, almost decent, MK, but even he was already on shaking ground. Now there aren't any. Sure, there are one or two secular MK's who mean well, and who even almost "get it" Nevertheless, the current government is hopeless, and I am far from hopeful about any future governments of the State of Israel.
The secular MK's lack any real, Torah guidance. They only risk making the same mistakes, based on Western culture, in an attempt to solve the so-called "Arab-Israeli Conflict."
I have much less tolerance for kippah-wearing MK's who not only distort the Torah when convenient, but ignore it for the sake the of Hellenist democracy, or in Israel's case deMOCKracy.
The,n when they make ridiculous proposals based on Western cultural norms, which we already know do not work anyway, because we have already tried them a bazillion times, I get particularly irked.
The new debate on the issue [of the seaport] apparently stems from a desire
to reach a more stable situation, on the assumption that a better
economic standing in Gaza would prevent Hamas from attacking again.
Now, do I really need to say it? OK, I will. Throwing money at Hamas will not, I repeat, will not change their minds whatsoever, regarding their desires to annihilate the Jewish People, and their claims laid to our Land.
Just look at the map which crowns the Hamas emblem...
Hamas Emblem
And, if the map of what they claim is theirs, just look at this "music video" recently released from Azza (Gaza)...
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon
(Likud) have firmly opposed the notion of a Gaza seaport, leaving its
chances of being implemented low.
Thank goodness for small favors.
Minister Ariel, "Zionism and settlement" have absolutely nothing to do with "economic and regional development" for those who want to destroy you.
Minister Ariel disappoints me even more than the usual "religious" MK
spewing out utter silliness our of their mouths. You see, Minister Ariel
used to get up in front of the Knesset, and make statements from the
Torah, including that Eretz Yisra'el (the Land of Israel) belongs
to the Jewish People, because The Almighty gave it to us.
Now, that is a
statement we rarely hear from an MK, if at all. This is exactly the kind of statement that we call impressive. Even though it should be coming out of them mouths of every member of a Jewish government of Israel. So, the rarity of such a statement should tell you something.
And, now, you can also see why I want the old Uri Ariel back.
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gadi Eizenkot made a surprising statement on Wednesday morning during a visit to Bat Yam, in which he defended the army's controversial open-fire orders and brushed off the teachings of the Jewish sages.
Eizenkot (right) with Defense Minister Ya'alon, before his promotion last year.
During his visit to the city's cultural center which was attended by high school students, he said, "the phenomenon of terror accompanies Israeli society throughout the years, and there also were knifings years ago. It could be in Tel Aviv, in Otniel or Ariel. We see mutual influence between what happens in the Middle East with Daesh (ISIS) and what happens for us here (in Israel)."
One of the high school students asked Eizenkot whether he intends to change the opening fire procedures, arguing that the current orders endanger the lives of IDF soldiers and are stricter than ever.
Last August the orders were made even tighter, mandating soldiers in Judea and Samaria to only fire in the air, and not even shoot the lower extremities of an attacker other than in extreme cases of imminent life-threatening danger. In May, it was reported that IDF soldiers were told to avoid killing terrorists, even if they spot them as they are about to throw a potentially lethal firebomb or rock at a car.
But Eizenkot argued the orders don't need changing on Wednesday, and went on to disparage a famous Talmudic maxim on self-defense.
"The IDF cannot speak in slogans like 'when someone comes to kill you – kill him first,'" he said, citing the dictum. Eizenkot also dismissed as a "slogan" the following: "everyone holding scissors must be killed." Arab terrorists have conducted numerous lethal stabbings with scissors during the recent wave of attacks.
The Talmudic dictum was recently quoted by Chief Sephardic Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef last October, when he praised soldiers who kill attacking terrorists and lauded them for performing a mitzvah.(cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
The impression of Gen. Eizenkot we get from this report descends fairly quickly from a place of apparent naïveté to one of either ignorance or incompetence. It is hard to tell. Eizenkot does not even come off like a real general. Instead, he seems more like the caricature of a general.
In his visit on Wednesday, Eizenkot also spoke about the security cooperation with the Palestinian Authority (PA). "There
is cooperation with the Palestinian security mechanisms, there are
40,000 security personnel of this sort," he said, noting the large
number of PA forces who were established and armed by Israel in the 1994
Oslo Accords.
The general is proud of this fact? That the State of Israel has been arming people who want to annihilate the Jewish People, and conquer all of Eretz Yisra'el, the Jewish Homeland, for its own?
Does he really mention the Oslo Accords as something which has shown itself to have been something positive to Am Yisra'el? It sure sounds this way.
Ari Yashar quite correctly points out that...
A growing number of the terrorists in recent attacks have proven to
be PA policemen, in a disturbing trend that is being openly promoted by
sources such as Hamas.
Following the 2000 Second Intifada or Oslo War, in
which over 1,000 Israelis were murdered, PA officials later bragged that
70% of the attacks were conducted by PA Security Force members.
In a report from YNET, on the general's visit to the Bat-Yam cultural center, we are informed that he stated...
"The West Bank has thousands of troops operating amongst two million Palestinians and hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens. We educate our soldiers to act according to the IDF's ethics and spirit, and it is much easier to work with Syria or Lebanon in this matter. If we were to act in an unethical manner in our rules of engagement, it would pose a threat to the IDF. There were 170 terrorist incidents in recent months, and more than 100 terrorists were killed in situations in which the troops had split-second decisions to make. I would not want a soldier to unload an entire clip into a girl who is holding scissors. Our troops are moral and we know how to preserve this quality."
Well, it no surprise that Gen. Eizenkot favors Western exile morality over Torah morality. In contrast...
...A week earlier senior Sephardic Rabbi Meir Mazuz urged Israeli bystanders to kill terrorist attackers rather than capture them alive, and Tzfat (Safed) Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahulikewise warned not to let terrorists "survive their attacks," to prevent their ability to be freed and return to attack again....
To what "threat" Gen. Eizenkot is referring, which he believes would target the IDF, I have absolutely no idea. Nor, do I know what he means by "unethical manner." Defending oneself effectively against attack is unethical, and waiting until the last possible millisecond to defend oneself is ethical?
Fata"h Party Emblem
PLO Emblem worn by Arafat ysh"w
Furthermore, Gen. Eizenkot has obviously never seen, or is, at the very least, oblivious to the maps which can be found the emblems "Palestinian" organizations. These are not even considered by the State of Israel as the extremists, but rather the mainstream "Palestinian" leadership.
Has he been living under a rock?
How does he believe these maps ended up on their emblems? By accident?
I do not know which would be worse, Gen. Eizenkot really seeing PA President Abbas's Fata"h Party differently from Hamas and Hezbollah, or him not seeing them as being much different from one another, but pushing such IDF policies anyway, which put soldiers at even greater risk than they already are.
Many will gladly point the finger at Gen. Eizenkot, knowing how obviously wrong and dangerous the IDF's open-fire policy is. But, the finger really needs to be pointed at those much higher up on the food chain, orchestraters of the Oslo Accords, such as Shimon Peres(left). Second on the list, should come Prime Minister Netanyahu(right), who has apparently been rendered powerless to do anything, by his handlers, both inside and outside of Israel.
Jewish lives clearly do not matter nearly as much as what the goyim will say.
Oh, and what about the State of Israel's chief military officer referring to a line from the Talmud as a "slogan?"
If this really shocks you, then you are the ones who have been living under a rock.
Mordechai Mayer, 18, from Ma'ale Adumim in the West Bank, arrested five months ago on an administrative detention order on suspicion of belonging to a Jewish terrorist organization was released last Sunday without being charged but was given a restraining order barring him from the West Bank.
Mayer was released the day the indictments were filed in the Dawabsheh murder case. He was arrested a few days after the attack on the Dawabsheh family home in Duma. "It was all a big lie from beginning to end," he told Ynet on Tuesday. "They just harassed me, just as they did to all the others who were detained."
Mayer was taken initially to Rimonim prison for two months and was then moved to Eshel prison. Also detained at the same time were Evyatar Slonim and Meir Ettinger, considered one of the main targets of the Shabak's Judea Brigade and the leader of the "Revolt" group. Ettinger is still in detention, and in the coming days it will be decided whether he will be released. As of now there is no knowledge of an indictment being prepared against him.
Mayer recounted that "six or seven policemen came for me in the morning, issued me with an administrative order and told me I was going to administrative detention. They did not let me take anything. They threw me right away into a cell without explanations. They hurled false accusations at me and did not let me speak at all. I feel that they have stolen five months of my life for nothing. There is a sense that they are hunting after those who wear a kippah and have peyot."
Mayer spent some of his time in detention with Slonim: "We mainly learned Torah together and strengthened our love of the Torah and the country", he said. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Mordechai Mayer has been released, after five months of incarceration, with limited access to counsel. The Shabbak, with support of the Israeli "justice" system, was able to keep him, and other boys, locked up, under the auspices "administrative detention," something left over from the British Mandate, which allowed the British to hold Jewish freedom fighters, whom they thought were threats to their maintenance of control over Israel, pretty much indefinitely.
Often these Jewish freedom fighters from organizations like Etze"l and Lech"i were turned over to the British by their fellow Jews from Ben-Gurion and Rabin's Haganah/Mapai.
I am guessing the Shabbak actually does have a plan. Maybe the goal here was simply to crush them, and to scare anyone else who holds The Almighty and His Torah in higher authority than the deMOCKratic State. Maybe they actually think this was enough to scare the hilltop youth and
stop them, at least temporarily. But, from doing what? I have no idea. Goatherding?
Better yet, perhaps they will simply wait, and observe, and monitor the chatter,
and then decide upon their next step. The Israeli Government has a pattern of gathering data from its operations, large, and small, as well as orchestrated.
Moshe "Bogie" Ya'alon
Minister of Defense
On the other hand, "Bogie,...I am not so sure. All we know about him, is that he thinks that a "Torah State" is not something to work toward, and that those who do choose to work toward such a thing, are dangerous.
Or maybe, the Government intended to kill two birds with one stone. The State's representatives can now declare that they are perfectly ready to "do what needs to be done" to Jews, in an attempt to justify "doing what needs to be done" to Arabs.
Naftali Bennett
Of course, everyone involved on the State's side of this conflict, including "Jewish" Home Party head Bennett, has failed to consider one important factor: emumah (faith). This is what they are ultimately afraid of, and what they see as the ultimate threat to the existence of a secular, "democratic," State, a State which is increasingly unable to call itself even cosmetically Jewish.
"Bogie," the Minister of Defense himself, declared his belief that desiring a Torah State was a disastrous thing, and that those working toward such a goal were dangerous. So, what would he say to a Torah Kingdom instead of a State?
Arutz 7: Ya'alon, Shaked exchange words over Duma Defense Minister hints Jewish Home members should do some soul-searching after attacking the ISA over Duma. Shaked responds.
Uzi Baruch and Hezki Ezra: 12/27/2015
The Likud and the Jewish Home engaged in a war of words on Saturday, which began when Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon (Likud) criticized the Jewish Home by linking statements some of its MKs had made with the arson attack in Duma, and also accusing Jewish Home members of rushing to make false accusations against the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) with regards to the investigation into the arson.
Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (Jewish Home) later responded by accusing Ya’alon of trying to make a political gain from the Duma affair.
"Unfortunately, the terrorists are Jews," Yaalon told Channel 2’s “Meet the Press” program in reference to the culprits behind the Duma arson. He urged Israelis not to stain all the Jewish residents in Judea and Samaria nor the entire religious Zionist movement, but said that "certainly someone needs to do some soul-searching." (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Defense Minister Moshe "Bogie" Ya'alon
The Defense Minister Moshe "Bogie" Ya'alon(Likud) said...
"He urged Israelis not to stain all the Jewish residents in Judea and Samaria nor the entire religious Zionist movement."
In other words, it is OK to live in Yehudah and Shomron. This is just the same old rhetoric designed to convince the masses that Zionism can be separated from Torah. This has been going on for hundreds of years already. It's boring, but insideous, and very frustrating that Jews fail to see this. In fact, at least 80 percent of us, the same percentage the midrash suggests never made it out of Egypt (See Rashi on Parashath Beshalah). Coincidence?
Now look at what Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (Jewish Home) said...
"Do not try to stain the religious Zionist movement, an entire community that serves and contributes to society, because of a group of terrorist anarchists who Bogie knows are outlaws who do not listen to rabbinical and educational authority,"
See any difference between what the two ministers said? I sure don't. Both cabinet ministers also agree that the actions of the ISA/Shabba"k were acceptable. Plus, neither of them have mentioned any evidence than any of the boys currently held in administrative detention, have done anything, let alone burn an Arab house down.
Claiming that criticism of government officials and agencies constitute "attacks" is simply code for "you don't really have freedom of speech."
This type of "argument" is an old trick governments use in order to trick the masses into believing that they actually have a choice, when the go to the poles.
Here in Israel we do have a choice: Slow and steady battle against the Torah and annexation of Yehudah and Shomron or a quick and dirty one.
Ya'alon and Shaked are only "arguing" over the irrelevant nuances of the somewhat slow and steady battle against the Torah and true Zionism, which appears to be building up increasingly faster.
It looks like the State's government is getting increasingly scared.
Arutz 7: ISA 'sexually harassed' Duma suspect Attorney Itamar Ben-Gvir demands immediate end to investigation after suspect confesses under duress, calls for investigation into ISA.
Yoni Kempinski, 12/22/2015
Attorney Itamar Ben-Gvir, who is representing Jewish suspects arrested over the Duma arson attack in July, announced Tuesday morning that the main suspect provided evidence that the Israel Security Agency (ISA or Shin Bet) sexually harassed him during the course of their interrogations.
"The sexual harassment against my client damages all that is sacred to him, his values of Torah observance and the commandments," Ben-Gvir stated, adding that his client had been sleep-deprived for an extended period of time.
"After the interrogators passed the initial stages of interrogation and my client stuck to the truth, they simply received a license to kill," he continued, adding that the interrogators may have sodomized him. "At some point four thugs entered his room, beat him, and tied him to his bed."
"The descriptions are shocking and appalling: they tied him upside down and beat him again and again, until he screamed 'Enough! Leave me alone, let me go, I didn't do anything!'" Ben-Gvir said. "They broke him. I believe very much that there are doubts that any confession he made are usable in court. They beat him into a shadow of a person."
"The things my client said have no weight, because any person in this situation would admit to anything," he added. "I think that each and every citizen of Israel would admit the charges against him in this case."(cont.)
What does the Prime Minister say to this?
PM Binyamin Netanyahu
YNET: Netanyahu backs Shin Bet as right-wing protests continue Ministers Bennett, Shaked and Ya'alon also come out in defense of the Israel Security Agency amid allegations of torture of Jewish suspects in Duma arson; 15 protesters arrested during demonstrations against Shin Bet.
YNET reporters, new agencies: 12.22.15
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement of support on Tuesday to the Shin Bet, condemning criticism of the agency surrounding allegations of torture used against the Jewish suspects arrested in connection with the arson in Duma that claimed the lives of three members of the Dawabsheh family.
Yoram Cohen, ISA Head Is that a kippah on his head?
"Director Yoram Cohen and his personnel are doing important and excellent work for the people of Israel and for the security of Israel. I find the attacks on them to be unacceptable," Netanyahu said.
Jewish extremists have for years vandalized or set fire to Palestinian property, as well as mosques, churches, the offices of left-wing Israeli groups and even Israeli military bases. The so-called "price tag" attacks seek to exact a cost for Israeli steps seen as favoring the Palestinians. (cont.)
Well, YNET has certainly gotten that wrong. Jews want a Torah State Kingdom, not an assimilationist, Erev Rav-controled State, hellbent on battling against the Torah, destroying anything even remotely recognizeable as Jewish within the Divinely Promised Land of Israel.
Palestinians Arabs are only a small part of it.
The Prime Minister continued...
He called for the end of the "cynical political incitement against the Shin Bet and its people, who are acting in accordance with the law, with a close and strict legal guidance, and the investigation they are conducting is meant to bring uncurbed terrorists to justice."
Acting in accordance with the law? Which "law" would that be?
Here is a photo of a segment of a court transcript from the December 16, 2015 hearing of one of the imprisoned boys...
Translation:
Q: Do you need any medical treatment?
A: For my back, maybe.
Q: What is going to happen now, is that your lawyer will come in and ask questions!
A: I can't anymore (cries).
Q: They have requested an additional extension of detention a few more days. I should hear from your parents and your lawyer?
A: But they don't know what they're doing to me there, and entire night of abuse. I said to them they will kill me, and don't do that to me. Give me poison. I beg your honor, [I] can't anymore. (suspect cries)Q: I will hear the lawyer and the investigative unit's representative, and before I decide, I will call you.
Now, watch this video demonstration video from HaKol HaYehudi (The Jewish Voice), and see if you agree if these practices are "in accordance with the law."
Previous news reports indicated that the torture included being kicked in the genitals, until one of the boys could not feel anything. The message here is clear. The Erev Rav not only wants to castrate the power of their emunah (faith), but wants to stop them from procreating,...literally. This is what following the Torah, and giving it precedence of State law, will get you!
If the victims of ISA abuse had been Arabs, we were never hear the end of it. In fact, the ISA recently came out bragging at how well it treated, the now dead, Hezbollah leader Samir Kuntar while he was in custody.
And speaking of Minister Naftali Bennett...
Naftali Bennett losing his kippah and working his magic!
שר החינוך תוקף את אנשי תג מחיר: "זה טרור שמטרתו לקעקע את יסודות המדינה. הם מנסים לחולל מלחמת גוג ומגוג. צריכים להפעיל נגדם יד קשה"

Bennett, who just approved the building of a new Arab College (as if that's going to appease them) uses the most ridiculous, circular reasoning here.
Defense Minister Moshe "Bogie" Ya'alon
Defense Minister Moshe "Bogie" Ya'alon has already criticized Jews protesting the, now cancelled, destruction of a synagogue in Giv'ath Ze'ev, for wanting a Torah state. Apparently, he believes to be a bad thing.
Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked seems to think she knows some about Torah by randomly citing דרך ארץ קדמה לתורה "Appropriate behavior takes precedence over Torah." And I suppose that she thinks that it is OK not to keep Shabbath, too, as long as she behaves appropriately. Guess what. A Jew keeping Shabbath IS appropriate behavior. Food for thought.
And speaking of Torah, there is story regarding the outlawing of Rabbi Kahane's Kach Party in the 1980's. Then Supreme Court Justice Menachem Elon, father of Christian-loving, former MK Rabbi Benny Elon, and Beth Din convicted, sexual manipulator Moti Elon, told Rabbi Kahane hy"d that he did not know what Torah he followed, and that they followed different Torahs.
Israeli Supreme Court Justices
I wonder what "Torah" Bennett and Cohen follow. Honesty, it seems more and more, that they are just making up as they go along, meticulously replacing the Land of Israel with the State, the Torah with Israeli State Law, and the Supreme Court as the Sanhedrin, most of the justices disqualified from serving on a proper, Jewish court.
The Israeli Supreme Court, which supposedly has oversight over the ISA's treatment of those in its custody, is to blame. Just another battle in its anti-Torah agenda for Jewish People.
Actually, I take that back. They're all culpable, standing so proudly next to the flag of the State of Israel, none of them appearing to be experiencing any shame over this. What does that tell you about the "holy" State of Israel? Or worse, what does this tell you of the current spiritual state of the Jews allowing this to happen, even supporting it?
Please pray for the safety, recovery, and freedom of the following Jewish political dissidents being held prisoners:
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon have been at loggerheads with Israel’s military and Shin Bet chiefs on how to grapple with the wave of Palestinian terror sweeping the country for more than two months, with knives, firebombs and vehicular attacks and rising Israeli casualties.
Moshe Ya'alon
The two ministers are convinced that the Palestinian terrorists will eventually succumb to attrition and throw in the sponge.
DEBKAfile’s counter-terror experts challenge this premise. The current wave is not only not dying down it is gaining traction. Its methods are such that purely military measures can’t get to grips with the persistent attacks, which are often just hours apart in different locations. (cont.)
Now enter the arrogant United States Government, continuing its attempts to maintain control over the region...
US Secretary of State John Kerry is set to arrive in Israel and meet with both Israeli and Palestinian leaders Tuesday, but stressed on Monday in Abu Dhabi that "People aren't in the mood for concessions," offering little hope that his visit will help stem the current wave of violence. (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Can Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ya'alon be that stupid?? Do they really believe that the terrorist attacks "will die down?"
Their own security experts, the Shin Bet (Shabba"k) do not believe this, and they are the ones paid to go out into the field, investigate, and obtain an accurate picture of the Arabs' plans, including an understanding of their motivations.
The only way that the terrorist "...will die down," is if it is in the Palestinian Authority's [PA] strategic interest for it to "die down,..." temporarily, or if a secret agreement is made between between the PA and the Israeli Government which serves both of their interests.
Meanwhile, U. S. Secretary of State Kerry claims that "People aren't in the mood for concessions." Actually, I hope that he is right. Maybe then Jews will finally wake up to the fact that Arabs want to annihilate us, and are only interested in negotiations when they feed their strategy, which is primarily to keep the wool pulled over our eyes.
Who knows? Maybe the Israeli Government will finally take the necessary actions to put a stop to Arab terrorism, once and for all. But, I won't hold my breath, and neither should you. The Israeli Government continues to show more concern over what the goyim think of us, vis-à-vis the "international community," than the safety of its own citizens. But, this is only the surface reason, as to why the Israeli Government is failing to combat Arab terrorism.

Fatah Emblem Notice the map?
I have written before about how the main difference between Mahmud Abbas's Fatah Party and Hamas is that Fatah has always appeared to be more patient than Hamas, not to mention more adept at Western forms of lying.
It should be no surprise to anyone, although I am sure that it will be to many, that the Arabs inhabiting Israel are simply tools of the other Arabs in the region. And, yes of course, I include those Arabs with Israeli citizenship. Not only have they served as a distraction away from the shenanigans going on in other Arab countries.
The so-called Arab-Israeli Conflict is a tool for everyone. The "progressive" West gets to disguise its Jew-hatred as sympathy for a mythical people crying "oppression." Even though this mythical people has it better than they would under Arab rule of any kind.
Their "soldiers" are out there, fighting, taught from a very young age to hate Jews. Meanwhile, the Erev Rav controlled, Israeli Government has been desperately trying to implement the opposite kind of indoctrination in its own public schools:
Love the people who want to kill you.
They don't really want to kill you. They are "innocent civilians."
Feel sorry for them, that they have been brainwashed.
Western "progressive" culture is superior to all others.
(ie. The Torah is primitive, unless "updated," and unrecognizable.)
We don't need national borders anymore.
State Law = Your Torah.
Sleep.
The Israeli Government is not failing to combat Arab terrorism at all. It is simply succeeding in implementing its anti-Torah agenda.
Genesis 28: 12-19
And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. And, behold, the LORD stood beside him, and said: 'I am the LORD, the God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac. The land where you lie, to you will I give it, and to your seed. And your seed will be as the dust of the earth, and you will spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south. And in you and in your seed you, will all the families of the earth be blessed. And, behold, I am with you, and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back into this land; for I will not leave you, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.' And Jacob awakened from his sleep, and he said: 'Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.' And he was afraid, and said: 'How full of awe is this place! this is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.' And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put under his head, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it. And he called the name of that place Beth-El, but the name of the city was Luz at the first.
There is actually more than one opinion as to where Ya'aqov (Jacob) dreamed his dream. Nevertheless, the connection between Ya'aqov and Beth-El is traditionally strong.
YNET: 200 settlers clash with police in Beit El Officials join families in defiantly repopulating Sa-Nur, a settlement abandoned in the disengagement, as youths battle security forces for control of Beit El near Ramallah.
Itay Blumenthal, 07.28.15
Violence erupted in the settlement of Beit El near Ramallah late Monday night when a group of approximately 200 young adults took control of the so-called Draynoff buildings, two housing structures which the High Court ordered be torn down Sunday night.
Security forces arrested 50 of the activists according to Honenu, an organization that offers legal help to Israelis. The rest of those protesting in Beit El were removed using riot control measures. The activists claimed that security forces used tear gas was inside the buildings in an attempt to remove those present.
The area was designated as a closed military zone and Israeli Border Police occupied the Draynoff buildings in order to prevent the return of the violent protesters.
Meanwhile, some 250 people, including dozens of families that were removed from the Sa-Nur settlement in the West Bank during the disengagement in 2005, returned to the village overnight without approval from Israeli security forces.
Government officials joined the group, including Bayit HaYehudi MK Bezalel Smotrich and former MK Professor Aryeh Eldad. The entered the fort-like structure that remains standing in Sa-Nur with the intention of permanently returning to the settlement.
"Ten years after the disengagement, it's about time to fix things. And that begins here, in northern Samaria," said Smotrich in a press release. "Families have begun settling into the rooms of the fort with the intention of staying for some time. We don't intend to move from here."
Security officials offered Smotrich and the others in Sa-Nur nothing but an ultimatum that they would be removed by force if they had not left of their own free will by 2pm.
Political Storm
The events in Beit El also led to a political storm Tuesday, with leaders on the political right claiming they were doing their utmost to strengthen settlements and prevent the destruction of the Draynoff buildings.
PM
"Our stance on this issue is clear," said Netanyahu. "We oppose their destruction and we're acting through the courts to prevent this step."
While making similar comments himself, Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon's decision to send troops into the settlement drew criticism from his political partners from Bayit Yehudi and former foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman who called for Ya'alon's resignation.
From the other side of the settlement debate, Yesh Atid Chairman Yair Lapid called for the full support of IDF troops on the ground in Beit El.
So, why are Beth-El residents repeating the thing over again, trusting the government, expecting different results?
The last time there were major clashes in Beth-El, they were between residents,
misguided, State loyalists, and those defending Jewish settlement of
Israel. Now they are back to being between the police and residents.
Does
this mean that Beth-El is waking up?
Nothing exciting to see here, except that the Israeli Border Police do not seem to like being videotaped very much, do they?
(Video: Beth-El Spokeswomen)
No. Apparently not.
What in the heck are these kids from Beth-El doing, handing out drinks to the same security forces, there to expel their neighbors from their homes??!!
Anyone involved at all in these kids' education should be fired, and that includes their mamlakhti (diehard, State loyalist) parents!
The message has been clear for ages, Arab testimony is held on a higher level than Jewish testimony, even when the Arabs do not have any documents to support their claims, but the Jews do.
Equal enforcement of the law towards Jews, as suggested by Defense Minister Ya'alon and MK Lapid? I think not.
Who is running the country? The legislature, elected to enact the will of the people? Or the courts?
We have met the enemy, and they are the Erev Rav courts,...those officials allowing this travesty to continue, and those of us standing idly by.
I think that we Jews need to get over this whole democracy thing, and fast. There is a reason is not working.
It's not Jewish.
The Torah is the only justification Jews have for laying claim to Eretz Yisra'el (Land of Israel), ALL of Eretz Yisra'el. Yet, it is very rare, indeed, that an MK will ever quote from the Torah, to point out this justification.
I am the LORD, the God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac.
The land where you lie, to you will I give it, and to your seed.
And your seed will be as the dust of the earth, and you will spread
abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south.
And in you and in your seed you, will all the families of the earth be
blessed. And, behold, I am with you, and will keep you wherever you go,
and will bring you back into this land; for I will not leave you, until I
have done that which I have spoken to thee of.' (Gen. 28:13-15)

There is no difference between Beth-El and Har HaBayith (Temple Mount) and Tel-Aviv. Not only does all of it belong to us, but the Arabs want it all.
The Palestinian Pseudostinian Liberation Organization's [PLO] emblem and Palestinian Pseudostinian Authority President Abbas's map speak for themselves.
When will our government finally get that through its thick skull?
When we will finally get it through our thick skulls, that the government never will?
