האם חברת האוטובוס הזו הכי גרועה בארץ?
האוטובוס מצפת לבני ברק ורמת גן היה אמור לצאת מהתחנה המרכזית בשעה 11:40. הייתה תקלה כלשהי בדרך לתחנה. לפי הנוסעים שכבר עלו, הם נאלצו להמתין לאוטובוס חלופי. האוטובוס החלופי הגיע לתחנה בסביבות השעה 12:00, ואז עלינו. האוטובוס יצא ואסף עוד נוסעים לאורך הדרך בתוך העיר כמו רגיל. עם זאת, ברגע שהתקרבנו ליציאה מהעיר, הנהג הודיע לנו שיש איזה בעיה עם האוטובוס החלופי.
לאחר עצירה קצרה בדרך, כדי שהנהג יכל לתקשר, כנראה, עם המוקדן שלו - הוא דיבר ערבית - המשכנו לחניון של חברת האוטובוסים. כולנו ירדנו ועקבנו אחרי הנהג מאוטובוס לאוטובוס והסתכלנו כשהוא הוא בדק כל אחד אם הוא תקין. כל הזמן הזה הוא היה בשיחת טלפון, כנראה לקבל הוראות על איזה מהם לנסות בהמשך. הוא ניסה לפחות חמישה אוטובוסים. רובנו הפסקנו לעקוב אחריו, וחיכינו עד שהוא יבחר באחד. ואז עלינו עליו.

בסופו של דבר, יצאנו מהעיר. ואז הנהג עצר בתחנה בצומת צפת. חיכינו לאוטובוס חלופי נוסף. אבל, כשהגיע האוטובוס הרביעי, הדלת בצד ימין לתא המיטען לא היתה תקינה. בצד השמאלי כן. אבל זה נחשב מסוכן מדי עבור נוסעים מוציאים את המזוודות שלהם משם בלב בני ברק ההומה.ולכן, חיכינו לעוד אוטובוס חלופי.

בסופו של דבר יצאנו מצומת צפת לפחות שעה וחצי מאוחר לפי הלו״ז והגענו לאזור המרכז ללא עוד תקלות ב״ה.
בתחנת התרעננות, אני אמרתי לנהג שהוא נשאר רגוע לאורך כל הבלגן שעברנו. הוא אמר שעובד בסניף אחר של החברה, ושם הכל רגוע. לזה הוא רגיל.
תקלה אחת אפשר לסלוח. דבר כזה קורה. שתיים? אפשר לדבר על זה. אבל, הצורך בארבע החלפות באוטובוסים בדרך?

Is this the worst bus company in Israel?
The bus from Tzfat (Safed) to Bnei Braq and Ramat Gan (Tel Aviv suburbs) was supposed to leave the central bus station at 11:40. There was some sort of breakdown along the way. According to passengers who had already boarded, they had to wait for a replacement bus. The replacement bus, they were on, arrived at the station around 12:00, at which time those of us who were waiting boarded. The bus left the station, and picked up passengers along the way within the city. However, once we got close to leaving the city, the bus driver announced that there was a problem with the replacement bus.
After a short stop on the side of the road, for the driver to communicate, presumably, with his dispatcher -- he was speaking Arabic -- we made our way to the bus company's lot. We all got off the bus, and proceeded to follow the driver around from bus to bus, checking which one was operational. He was on the phone the entire time, presumably receiving instructions as to which one should work, and which one to try next. He tried at least five buses. Most of us stopped following him around, and just waited for him to settle upon one. He finally choice one. So, we boarded it.
I happened to notice that the man in the "service vehicle" was of no service whatsoever.
Immediately, complaints began over the hot air coming out of the vents. We waited for any improvement. There wasn't any. Some passengers were willing to continue on with the windows open. Others said it was dangerous with small children on the bus. I guess they would not have succeeded in suffering through the 104°F (40°C) summer days of my childhood without air conditioning.
In the end, we left the city. But not so fast. The driver stopped at Tzfat Junction. We waited for yet another replacement bus. But, when the fourth bus arrived, the door to the baggage compartment did not work on the right side. The left side worked. But this was determined to be too dangerous for when passengers needed to remove their baggages in the middle of bustling Bnei Braq. And so, we waited for another replacement bus.
In the meantime, several passengers disembarked, having arranged for alternative transportation or just given up.
We ended up leaving the Tzfat Junction at least an hour and a half behind schedule, but arrived at our destination without any more breakdowns or glitchs.
At the rest stop, I mentioned to the driver that he stayed calm throughout the fiasco. He said that works at a different branch, where everything is relaxed. That is what he is used to.
One breakdown can be forgiven. These things happen. Two is debateable. But, the need for four changes in buses?
לפני כשלוש שנים נשברה לי כף הרגל. היה לי גבס חודש וחצי והסתובתי בקביים כחודשיים. בזכות הנסיון הזה אני מבין את התנאים של הנכים בארץ עוד טיפ-טיפה יותר. וכן עכשיו אני ממש מבין את כל המחאות וחסימות הכבישים על ידי הנכים שאנו סובלים מדי פעם. צפו את הסרטון למטה לדוגמת מחאה שלא טרח לציבור כל-כך כרגיל.
הנה התלונות שלי. הן לא נגד הממשלה בלבד אלא גם נגד האחים והשכנים שלנו:
חסר רמפות למקומות שאין בם מעליות. ב״ה בקביים אני הצלחתי לרדת במדרגות לאט לאט. אבל מה קורה לכאלה העוברים בכסאות גלגלים?
תחנות האוטובוסים הן לא חניות לרכבים! ואפילו זמנית! האוטובוסים לא יכולים להתקרב למדרכה בכלל כשרכבים חוסמים להם את הדרך. במצב כזה קשה מאוד למי שהולך בקביים לעלות לאוטובוס מהכביש. ואי אפשר בכלל לכיסא גלגלים.
אולי מישהו לוקח מעט זמן יותר מהרגיל לחצות את הכביש והרכב לפניכם עצר בשבילו. אין צורך לצפצף מייד. אלא להמתין דקה לפחות לפני להתעצבן על המצב.
רטיבות בדרך היחידה! מי שמתהלך בקביים יכול לעקוף את המקום הרטוב. אבל אם זו הדרך היחידה הוא יכול ליפול להפגע ואפילו למות מהנפילה.
לא לגעת בנכה כדי לעזור לו ללא לשאול מקודם. יש אפשרות להבהיל אותו וככה הוא יכול ליפול. ואולי הוא לא רוצה עזרה. אולי הרופא או פיזיותרפיסט שלו רוצה שהוא עושה את מה שצריך לבד.
אני חוזר: לא לגעת בנכה כדי לעזור לו ללא לשאול מקודם. ולא להתיחס אליו כילד קטן! אלא להתיחס אליו כבן אדם רגיל כי הוא כן בן אדם רגיל. פשוט יש לו הגבלות.

אני גם רוצה להודות ליד שרה עמותה ללא מטרות רווח המשאילה ציוד רפואי ושיקום ללא תשלום.

About three years ago I broke my foot. Since then I have been working on and off on this post. I decided to finish it - yes, even during attacks on us by Iran -- because the daughter of friends of mine broke her ankle while heading downstairs toward a protected area during an attack.
It seemed appropriate to post this, since, unfortunately, some of our friends and neighbor, and needless to say, our soldiers, will be added to the list of disabled people in Israel. The issues and solutions I propose here are not political, or at least they should not be. They are just common sense.
I was in a cast for a month and a half and I on crutches for about two months. Thanks to this experience, I understand the conditions of the disabled in Israel a little more. And yes, now I really understand all the protests and roadblocks by the disabled that we suffer from time to time. Watch the video below for an example of a protest that didn't bother the public as much as usual.
Here are my complaints, not only against the government but also against our brothers and neighbors:
Lack of ramps to places without elevators. With crutches I was able to go down the stairs little by little. God help me, if the stairs were wet! And what happens to those in wheelchairs?
The bus stops are not car parks! And even temporarily! The buses cannot approach the sidewalk at all when vehicles block their way. In such a situation it is very difficult for someone who walks on crutches to get on the bus from the road. And it's not possible at all for a wheelchair.
Maybe someone is taking a little longer than usual to cross the road and the vehicle in front of you has stopped for him. No need to beep right away. But wait at least a minute before getting upset about the situation.
Moisture is the only way! Those who walk with crutches can bypass a place that is wet, or where there is a puddle. But if this is the only way, he can fall and get hurt and even die from the fall.
Do not touch a disabled person to help him without asking first. There is a possibility of startling him and causing him to fall. And maybe he doesn't want your help. Maybe his doctor or physical therapist wants him to do what is needed on his own.
I repeat: do not touch a disabled person to help him without asking first. And don't treat him like a little child! Treat him as an ordinary person because he is indeed an ordinary person. He just has limitations.
When someone crosses the road slowly and the vehicle in front of you stops for them, there is no need to beep immediately. But please wait at least half a minute before getting upset because of the delay. I did see that drivers doing this, gave me what was presumably an apology wave, when they saw the situation.
The positive side of it, people wanted to help me, they let me sit in seats designated for the disabled without having to ask.
I also want to thank Yad Sarah, the non-profit organization in Israel which lends out medical equipment.

אני זוכר את הנשיא קרטר. הייתי בכיתה ו' כשהוא נבחר לנשיא.
אני זוכר את העליות המחירים. אני זוכר שחיכיתי בתור כדי למלא את המכונית. אני זוכר שבקליפורניה, מכוניות עם לוחיות רישוי אי זוגיות יכלו להתמלא רק בימים אי זוגיים, ואלה עם לוחיות רישוי זוגיות בימים זוגיים.
אני זוכר את החרם של קרטר על אולימפיאדת מוסקבה במחאה על הפלישה הסובייטית לאפגניסטן. כמובן, ארבע שנים מאוחר יותר, הסובייטים יחזירו להם טובה על ידי חרם על אולימפיאדת לוס אנג'לס, כנקמה.
יש אומרים שקרטר הצליח להפעיל לחץ על ברית המועצות במהלך המלחמה הקרה, שהנשיא הבא רייגן המשיך בה.

רוב קבוצות המיעוט האמריקאיות הפועלות למען קהילותן נחשבות להעצמה עצמית.
קבוצות יהודיות אמריקאיות הפועלות לתמיכה בקהילות יהודיות לא נחשבות ככה אלא ההפך. ואז, היהודים שבגלות חושבים שהם צריכים לדאג על הספקת עזרה לגוים. ורוב הזמן הגוים לא מספרים על שבחם אלא מקללים אותם.
כן, הגלות. אתה נמצאים בגלות. אפילו את שכחתם שלגור בגלות היא עונש.
אבל כנראה המכה הידועה ביותר לישראל בידי נשיא ארה"ב הזה היא הלחץ החזק על רה״מ דאז מנחם בגין לוותר על סיני שישראל כבשה במהלך מלחמת יום הכיפורים בשנת 1973/תשל״ד.
ברור שבסופו של דבר היינו מוותרים על זה בעצמנו. אבל יש סיכוי שיכלנו לומדים על קורה אחרי וויתור על שטחים באופן חד צדדי, ואז היינו נמנעים מגירוש של יהודים מעזה בשנת תשס״ה/2005.

התנצלות יוצאת דופן: נשיא ארה"ב לשעבר, ג'ימי קרטר, ביקש אמש (יום ב') סליחה מהיהודים בארה"ב, אם הדביק לאורך השנים תווית שלילית למדינת ישראל. קרטר, שאיננו נחשב לאהוד בישראל בלשון המעטה, עורר את זעמם של יהודי ארה"ב בעקבות דברים שכתב בספרו "פלסטין - שלום, לא אפרטהייד".
בספר האשים קרטר את ישראל בבלימת תהליך השלום באמצעות ההתנחלויות וטען שמדיניות זו תוביל לאפרטהייד. נשיא ארה"ב לשעבר גם האשים את הלובי היהודי בארה"ב בבלימת כל מתווה שלום אמריקני במזרח התיכון.
"אפילו שאנו חותרים לסייע לישראל לשפר את יחסיה עם האוכלוסיות הערביות שבקרבה, אסור לנו להדביק לה תווית שלילית. בדומה לנהוג בראש השנה וביום כיפור, אך מתאים לכל יום, אני מבקש סליחה על מילים או מעשים שייתכן ועשו זאת", כתב קרטר במכתב שפורסם בסוכנות הידיעות היהודית JTA.
"עלינו להכיר בהישגיה של ישראל בנסיבות קשות. גם אם אנחנו שואפים לסייע לישראל בדרך חיובית, אסור לנו להרשות שהביקורת שלנו תכפיש את ישראל", הוסיף קרטר שכיהן כנשיא בשנים 1977-1981. קרטר, שהוא נוצרי אדוק, שלח את המכתב לקראת חג המולד, ואיחל לישראל ושכנותיה שיבורכו בשלום.
ראש הליגה נגד השמצה, אברהם פוקסמן, בירך את קרטר על מכתבו ואמר כי זהו תחילתו של פיוס."אנחנו מברכים על כל הצהרה של אדם משמעותי המכה על חטא", ציין פוקסמן.
מישהו היה צריך להגיד לנשיא לשעבר, בעודו בחיים, שהתנצלויות לא מספיק ביהדות. תשובה אמיתית כוללת מבושה וחרטה על מעשיו, תיקון הנזק והתחייבות להמנע מלחזור על אותו חטא.
קרטר לא עשה שום דבר כזה.
כן. כתבתי את המילה חטא. קרטר אמר את זה ראשון. בגירסה אנגלית של מאמר זה כתוב שקרטר הציע לישראל ״אל חתא...״ כמו שאנו מצהירים ביום הכיפורים. כלומר הוא רוצה לכפר.
ההתנצלות של קרטר לא הייתה התנצלות אמיתית בכלל. אלא הוא העליב את שמירת החגים שלנו ולתהליך שלנו של כיפור וחזרה בתשובה. איפה עדות מאמציו לתקן את הנזק שעשה כלפינו? כמה משפטים שהוא כתב?
הנוצרים אוהבים לזרוק את המשפט 'מברכי ישראל יתברכו', המבוסס על הפסוק...
בהחלט הנשיא קרטר הזדהה כנוצרי, למעשה כבפטיסט דרומי. אבל בכל תקופת נשיאותו, ואחר כך, הוא לא בירך את ישראל. בדיוק כמו רוב הנוצרים האחרים, הוא עשה את ההיפך.

As a kid, I remember President Carter.
I remember the inflation. I remember waiting in the car in line for gas. I remember that in California, cars with odd numbered license plates could only get gas on odd-numbered days, and even numbered plates on even-numbered days.
I remember Carter's boycott of the Olympic Games in Moscow in protest of the Soviet Union's invasion of Afghanistan. Of course, four years later, the Soviets would return the favor by boycotting the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, in retribution.
Carter was credited for putting pressure onthe Soviet Union during the Cold War, which his successor President Reagan then built upon.
I do not remember that.
And, of course, I remember the hostages held in Iran, and Carter's failure to secure their release.
Carter was credited with some deregulation in the railroad and airline sectors. But I was too young to be paying any attention to something like that.
I remember that Carter seemed to be a very good and caring ex-president, especially in contrast to future ex-presidents, as he worked to built houses for those without.
Habitat for Humanity is the name of his foundation.
You should not be surprised to hear about accusations that Habitat for Humanity is virulently anti-Israel and anti-Semitic, as if there was any difference between the two.
Jewish youth groups in the U. S. have participated in Habitat for Humanity's projects. Too bad these "Jewish" youth groups did not work to contribute to their own communities.
Most American minority groups working for their own communities is considered self-empowerment.
American Jewish groups working to support Jewish communities is not. So, Jews in exile are relegated to running around helping non-Jews, and having it backfire on them most of the time.
Yes, exile. That is what it is. That is where you are, even if you have forgotten that it is a punishment.
But probably the most nortorious blow to Israel at the hands of this U. S. president was the strongarming of then Israeli Prime Minister Menahem Begin, and forcing him to give up the Sinai Peninsula captured during the 1973/תשל״ד Yom Kippur War.
Sure, it is very likely that we would have eventually given it up ourselves, knowing what we know now about Israeli governments. But, who knows? Maybe we would have learned our lesson from giving it up unilaterally, and would have waken up sooner, and then avoid the תשס״ה/2005expulsion of Jews from Gaza.

In the book, Carter blamed Israel for impeding the Middle East peace process via settlement construction, further claiming such a policy will lead to apartheid.
The former president also accused Israel of interfering with US efforts to broker peace in the region.
"We must recognize Israel’s achievements under difficult circumstances, even as we strive in a positive way to help Israel continue to improve its relations with its Arab populations, but we must not permit criticisms for improvement to stigmatize Israel.
"As I would have noted at Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, but which is appropriate at any time of the year, I offer an Al Het for any words or deeds of mine that may have done so," he said.
"Al Het" refers to the Yom Kippur prayer asking God forgiveness for sins committed.
Head of the Anti-Defamation League Abraham Foxman welcomed Carter's apology, saying it marked the beginning of reconciliation.
Someone needed to tell the former president, while he was alive, that apologies do not really cut it in Judaism. True teshuvah (repentance) includes embarrassment and regret over ones deeds, repairing the damage, and a commitment to avoid repeating the same sin.
Carter has done none of that.
Yes. I wrote the "s" word. Hey. Carter said it first. Al Het... is Hebrew for "regarding the sin of..."
Carter's apology wasn't even an apology. It was an insult to our holidays and our process of true repentance. Where were his efforts to repair the damage already done? A few sentences?
Christians love to throw around the phrase 'those who bless Israel will be blessed,' which is based on the verse...
"And I will bless those who bless you, and he that curses you will I curse; and through you shall all the families of the earth be blessed." (Gen. 12:3)
President Carter certainly identified as a Christian, a Southern Baptist in fact. But throughout his presidency, and then afterwards, he was not blessing Israel. Just like most other Christians, he was doing the opposite.

About a month ago, I was at my usual pitzuhiah (nuts, dried fruit, and spices store), when I heard the shift manager exclaim, "Oy veyz mir!" (actually Oy vey iz mir), Yiddish for Oh my! or Oh my gosh! It's literally "woe is me!"
Anyway, I turned to look at her, to see what had happened, and to check if she was ok. She immediately asked me, "What? Are you surprised that I'm Ashkenazi?" She probably asked this because she has a dark complexion. I can only guess that she might also have been hinting at her own experiences with racism.
"No," I said. "I was just surprised to hear Yiddish." Then I continued, "I understand. Everyone assumes I am Ashkenazi even though I am not. Either because of my complexion or because of my [American] accent. I dunno."
This brings us to the above announcement the event by Zioness, co-sponsored by the Jewish Federation, A Wider Bridge and IPF ATID, held two months ago.
If the event was true to its publicity, then it was racist.
"Sephardic, Mizrahi, and all Jews of Color"
But Ashkenazy Jews who were killed in the massacre of 1,200 plus Jews by Hamas and Gaza civilians, what? Had to have a separate memorial? Were forgotten, excluded, discounted by this memorial event? Too privileged, too spoiled, too entitled, even in death?
This was not empowering. This was divisive. This was not a celebration of diversity. This was just plain ol' racism.
Or maybe I got it wrong. Maybe if a Jew was dark enough, in spite of being Ashkenazy, then that Jew would have been considered.
Or maybe the opportunity was taken to quash the patriarchal concept of paternal determination of tribe, and those darker than average Ashkenazim were magically liberated from being Ashkenazy. Who can say?
What I can say is that I am the first to call out the poor treatment of Ethiopian, Peruvian, and Indian Jews in Israel.
But, it is time to snap you out of your denial regarding who the culprits are behind their poor treatment: The secular, leftist elite are the culprits, not the Religious Zionists nor the Haredim.
The secular, leftist elite asserts pressure on the "Sephardi, Mizrchi, and Jews of Color" to throw off their kippot (religious head covering), and to leave the path of Torah observance.
The secular, leftist elite which welcomed Jews from Morocco -- wait for it -- so that Moroccan children could go fight in their wars, while their children spent their IDF service at some desk. Nowadays, they do not even bother with the desk. Instead they just send them to procure a psychiatric exemption from military service.
While Ethiopian Jews are treated the way they are, Ethiopian non-Jews, whom the Ethiopian Chief Rabbis have warned the Israeli government about, receive money and opportunities which should have been designated for Ethiopian Jews.
Probably the least subtle example of secular, leftist elitism occurred during the tenure of Avraham Poraz (Shinui) as Minister of the Interior, 2003-2004. Poraz banned aliyah from Peru and from India. The official reason may have been that these Peruvians and B'nei Menashe, of the Mizoram and Manipur states in India, had not completed their conversion processes.
Perú is made up of Ashkenazy, Sephardi, and converts, some of whom believe they are descendants of conversos who landed in the New World.
The B'nei Menashe maintain a tradition of descendancy from the Tribe of Menashe, and arriving in the eastern part of India from Shanghai, China. The Cochin and the B'nei Yisrael make up the other Indian Jewish communities.
Both communities are primarily Orthodox, often settle in Judea and Samaria, and previously in Gaza, and tend to vote for right of center and right-wing parties. You do the math. Poraz broke the leftist, cardinal rule about subtly.
These communities, Ethiopian, Peruvian, and Indian are discriminated against, not because of their ethnicity, but because of their religious beliefs.
Will Zioness, and similar organizations ever address this issue? Did they at least identify the culprits, as I have done here?

גישתו של טראמפ תהיה בשני חלקים. תוצאה של השיטה הערמומית יותר היא עליית התלות שלנו גם בטראמפ ובארה"ב. לא רק בגלל העברת הכסף הרגילה, סיפוק הרגיל הנשק ואיומים הרגילים על אויבינו הערבים והמוסלמים המשותפים. שמרעישים את יריבינו הערבים והמוסלמים. אלא גם יתחזק כוח ההתמכרות של ישראל לאהבה ואישור קיום מהגוים. אנו כבר במצב שלא מצליחים לחיות בלי אהבה ואישור קיום של הגוים ובמיוחד הנוצרים.
הגישה הפשוטה והגלויה יותר של טראמפ היא המשך לפעול להשגת מטרות ארה"ב, שליטה בנפט, ביטחון ארה״ב (למרות צרכי ישראל), כולל שמירה מרוסיה ומאיראן. מאמצים לגייס עוד מדינות ערביות להצטרף להסכמי אברהם יתחדשו ויתחזקו. הסכמי אברהם הם יותר מכלי של ארה"ב לחזק את שליטתה במוח התיכון. אלא גם הערבים מנצלים אותם ממש מתחת לאף שלנו. אנחנו כל כך עסוקים בהתמכרותנו הפעילה החיבוקים והחיוכים, שאנחנו לא מסוגלים לראות את זה.

שניהם חומדים את ישראל, כמו כל שאר אומות העולם. טראמפ ינצל את ישראל מבחינת מבט מערבית (אדום / עשיו), על מיקומה האסטרטגי, חיילי צה"ל משמשים כמספוא תותחים, מעמדה ככבשה השחורה (חריג בקבוצה / בחרם) בעיני הקהילה הבינלאומית. הוא עשוי גם לתגמל את תומכיו הנוצרים בגישה יותר קלה להכנס לישראל ולהתקבל בקלות יותר כתושב זר. עשיו, אחיו של יעקב, רוצה את הבכורה שלו בחזרה (בראשית כה,כט-לה).
למרות שטראמפ כבר העיף את שני נוצרים בולטים מהחבורה שלו, עדיין לא ברור אם הוא מוכן לעבוד עם אחרים כמוהם, או שהוא מעדיף לעבוד עם נוצרים לא כל-כך מעריצי ישראל.
אני כבר מזכיר לכם לעיל שממשלת האריס היתה פועלת למען השמדת ישראל באמצעי שיטה גלויה יותר, כמו ישמעאל (ערבים / מוסלמים).

Esser Agaroth (2¢): Even after seeing the picture of the election shirt, many will still be scratching their heads, wondering who I supported in the U. S. presidential elections.
I did not support either candidate.
Many in Israel, including Religious Zionist rabbis, have told U. S. citizens that it is their hishtadluth (best effort) to vote in U. S. elections. Fortunately, as a non-citizen, I was off the hook.
I hope that you will continue reading this post to the end. I believe that Trump supporters will, so that they may write a scathing response as to why I am so wrong. Harris supporters will also continue reading, in anticipation of a hit piece on Trump. People see and believe what they want to see and believe.
Here we go.
In short, both a President Trump or a President Harris would be bad for Israel.
Trump supporters will agree that Harris would work to destroy Israel, openly like the Arabs, or rather, her handlers would. Just look at the above video. It says it all. But, don't forget Harris's National Security Advisor Philip Gordon, who is also overtly dangerous to Israel.
Now that we will soon have Trump back in office, we have a different set of efforts towards Israel's destruction to look forward to. (Trump backers begin to grimace.)
Now, if I were not Jewish, still a U. S. citizen, and committed to U. S. interests, I would certainly have voted for Trump. Protecting Americans and American interests are in the U. S. president's job description. And Trump did very well in this role. (Trump backers begin to relax a little.)
Protecting Israelis and Israeli interests are not in U. S. president's job description. Anyone believing that the U. S. and Israeli interests are one and the same is delusional, and suffers from a galuth (exile) mentality. (Trump backers begin to upset again, and get ready to tell me how wrong I am without bothering to pay attention to what is actually written in this post.)
Trump's approach will be twofold. The more insidious of which will be the resulting increase in our dependence on him and the U. S. Not just for the usual money, weapons, and sabre rattling at our Arab and Muslim adversaries. But Israel's addiction to love and existential validation from the goyim will also increase.
The more obvious approach will be the continued work toward achieving U. S. objectives, oil, security, including keeping Russia and Iran at bay. The Abraham Accords will be reinvigorated. The Abraham Accords are more than just a tool for the U. S. to assert control in the region. The Arabs exploit them right under our noses. We are so high on the pats on the on backs, the hugs, and the smiles, that we are blind to it.
The photo (above) of Jews in Shilo praying for Trump, a man who says he believes in the false deity known as Jesus, should not surprise anyone. Shilo has turned into a Christian-loving town, at least through the Tourist Visitors Center. Do they believe they are praying for the good of Am Yisrael? Praying that the proper candidate for Israel's benefit will win? No. They have already decided who that candidate is. They should remember the expression, "Be careful what you pray for. You just might get it!"
Since when is it "Zionist" not only to welcome, but to encourage, Christians to reside in Israel? Anyone believing that Christians qualify as gerei toshav (resident aliens), a different status than a ben Noah residing outside of the Land of Israel, is delusional.
I repeat, and I doubt that too many people will agree, the only difference between Trump and Harris as far as Israel goes is how each would attempt to destroy Israel, and how long it would take.
Both candidates for U. S. President have had their eyes on Israel, as do all other nations of the world. Trump would exploit Israel from a Western standpoint (Edom / Esau), for its strategic location, its IDF soldiers being used as canon fodder, its status as the black sheep in the eyes of the international community. He may also reward his Christian supporters with increased access to Israel and gaining defacto resident status there. Esau, Jacob's brother, wants his birthright back (Gen. 25:29-35).
Although Trump has already dumped two prominent Christians, it is not clear if he will work with others like them, or instead move closer to Christians who are less favorable toward Israel.
I already mentioned above that a Harris Administration would work to destroy Israel more openly, like Ishmael (Arabs / Muslims).
Any Jew with emunah (faith) knows The Almighty's endgame. The average Jew can only speculate how He will bring us there. HaShem is in control, but not necessarily to carry out the plan you think He will, or want Him to.
"Trump Will Save Us" syndrome is just as dangerous to Jews as "Trump Derangement Syndrome." Both of them keep Jews' focus away from their own, true homeland. The U. S. is only a temporary refuge for Jews, until we can return to the Land of Israel which has been Divinely Promised to us. The U. S. is not the Jewish homeland. Although many would like to think that it is. Jews have forgotten that the exile is a punishment.
Both Jewish Trump (Edom) and Harris (globalist) supporters must finally wake up, and understand that Israel is a People, separate and distinct from all other peoples of the world.

The Sages said that the fortunes of Caesarea, which represents Rome, and Jerusalem are diametric opposites. If, therefore, someone says to you that both cities are destroyed, do not believe him. Similarly, if he says to you that they are both settled in tranquility, do not believe him. If, however, he says to you that Caesarea is destroyed and Jerusalem is settled, or that Jerusalem is destroyed and Caesarea is settled, believe him. Something will have to give. One side has to lose. According to the Torah, it's not us; it's them.
As long as we depend on the West, and allow them to do mitzvot (commandments) for our sake, they maintain their zekhuth bashamayim (merit in Heaven), and postpones their ultimate fall.

השימוש של שרון במילה העברית החדשה כביכול relavanti ציין את תחילת הקץ. הוא פתח את הדלתות למילים לועזיות להכנס לשפה עברית. מעשה זה נתן תעודת כשרות לבשר חזיר והתחיל את תהליך דילל של לשון עברית.
הטבלה להנן היא רק דוגמה של המון מילים אנגלית שהבריחו לעברית המדוברת והכתובה ב-25 השנים האחרונות ולפני כן.
עם האינטרנט והתלות שלנו בו שליטתה של השפה האנגלית בעולם נראת בלתי ניתנת לעצירה. וזה לשמחתו של הערב-רב (שמות יב,לח). היום הם כאילו התרומה שלנו למפעל הגלובליסטי (איחוד העולם בכוח שלטון יחידה).

When I first arrived in Israel in תשנ״ז/1997, and was doing my student teaching, I mentioned to the teacher I was working with, all of the English words I was hearing used instead of Hebrew. It bothered me greatly.
The teacher with whom I was working offered the following suggestion:
In every generation, the goyim attempt to make a tikkun (repair, correction, improvement) for the "Tower" by establishing the dominance of one language, as there was was before the attempt to build the tower.
Today that language is English. Now so long ago, that singular language was French, thus the expression Lingua Franca.
My next year of student teaching was marked by a principal telling the staff that we shouldn't be surprised (by whatever she was talking about), because it wasn't something "out of the blue."
A couple years later, I was given a 3 1/2 inch black and white television/radio. I was living in a town which has satellite service, so I ogt the three Israeli television stations perfectly. The amount of English I heard on television, which had sneaked into usage by native Hebrew speakers was astounding. Yet in 2001, it was still mostly just thrown around by talkshow hosts in order to show off.
However, 2001 was also the year in which then Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon declared the "Arafat was not relevant," using the newly concocted Hebraicized word רלוונטי relavanti.
Sharon's use of the new fangled word relavanti marked the beginning of the end. He had opened the floodgates, giving legitimacy to Hebraicizing English words, and incorporating them into the fabric of the increasingly non-Hebrew, Hebrew language.
The embedded table is only a sample of the avalanche of English invading spoken and written Hebrew over the past 25 years and before.
With the exponential growth of the Internet over the years, and our dependence on it, the dominance of the English language in the world has seemed unstoppable, to the joy of the Erev Rav, the Erev Rav being descendants of false converts who left Egypt with us (Ex. 12:38). They are now the Jewish People's embarrassing and destructive contribution to the globalist enterprise.
Erev is from the Hebrew to mix. They like to mix everything, peoples, territories, marriages, and apparently even languages, all for the ultimate goal of the destruction of the Jewish People from within. This goal is to be achieved in part through the active assimilation of the our people among the non-Jewish cultures of the world.
The Torah is clearly the antithesis of globalism, in other words, it is nationalist. And nationalism is not just a mandate for Israel, manifested though it separate and distinct status. All peoples on this earth have their have their role. Some of them are here to help us. Some of them are hear to test us, or to push to come into our own, most of them do not seeming to be aware of this. Even Jews can get confused over who is who, which are our friends and which are our enemies. (Hint: Neither Christians, Abraham Accords members, nor progressives are our friends.
The teacher I mentioned before also had this to say, when she saw how disappointed I was with her accurate assessment of world's linguistic situation:
Don't worry, because the only tikkun of the Tower of Babel is Hebrew, not English.
Surely in the end, the Mashi'ah (Messiah) will rule, and the majority of the world will finally accept the Torah as the only truth. Israel's influence will reach the four corners of the earth, but not for our own gain, but rather for the Glory of The Almighty.

Yea, He says: 'It is too light a thing that you should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the offspring of Israel; I will also give you for a light of the nations, that My salvation may be to the end of the earth.' (Isaiah 49:6)
In the meantime, do yourselves a favor by studying the embedded table, and make a point that while speaking Hebrew, use actual Hebrew words (our words) instead of English words (their words).

אני כותב על החוויה הזו לאור הביקורת המתמשכת על הרבנות בישראל, כולל מצד עצמי.
הביקורת כוללת איך הרבנות מתיחסת לאלה שרוצים להתגייר ולתהליך הגיור בכלל, ושהרבנות צריכה להחמיר פחות. אני לא מסכים עם הביקורת הזו.

The other day when I came into my regular café, I saw the manager walking around the kitchen, talking to a man wearing a kippah (Jewish male head covering). He could not have been older than in his thirties, with a cropped beared, dressed casually. After finishing with the manager, he sat down to drink his coffee, at the table wear he had set down his helmet, made for either a bicycle or scooter. I determined that he was a local mashgi'ah kashruth (kosher supervisors).
A few minutes later, one of the café's employees approached him to ask him a question. I could not but help overhearing. The relatively new immigrant who approached him asked who he should contact to work out his status as a Jew in the eyes of the Rabbinate, and thus the State. Of course, the State couldn't care less. Just come to Israel, and look around.
If this young man wants to get married through the official Jewish channels in Israel, and have that marriage officially recognized as a koshe one, he must demonstrate to the Chief Rabbinate of Israel that he is, in fact, a Jew.
The mashgi'ah gave him his number, and said to contact him, and that he would direct him further.
I am taking the time relay this experience, in light of the continuous criticism of the Rabbanate in Israel, including from myself.
The criticism includes how it deals with those desiring to convert and conversion in general, and that the Rabbinate could be less stringent. I do not share this criticism.
With of those having gone through fake conversions such as through the Reform Movement, boyfriends, girlfriends, even spouses of Israelis going through the motions of conversion with ulterior motives, and the Christians sneaking in through this backdoor, the Rabbinate must maintain its current standards.
The Israeli Supreme Court has been chipping away at the Rabbinate's power since I can remember, pushing its agenda to make the Jewish, democratic State of Israel more "democratic" than "Jewish," and fooling the populace into believing that these two qualities are one and the same. Even though they are not. A Hellenist governmental system does not equal a Jewish one.
The Rabbinate is far from perfect. But unfortunately, we are all too wrapped up in the politics reported about about the Chief Rabbis and their staffs, and statements of their politically-incorrect halakhic (Torah legal) opinions, taken out of context. "The Torah is not politically-correct; it is absolutely correct, regardless of the nuances among the various rabbinic opinions of its understanding.
On the other hand, what does not get reported are our positive experiences with its local representatives in the field, working directly with the people, like a young, casual, and approachable rabbi in a café.
The last thing we need are the Tzohars and Beit Hillels to take over and remake it in their own image. Whether they realize it or not, organizations like these will only serve to hasten the realization of the Israeli Supreme Court's Erev Rav agenda, a non-Jewish, quasi-democratic State of Israel, with everyone fooled into believing that it is Jewish.

A pair of rowdy sea lions were caught on video chasing beachgoers at La Jolla Cove and causing panic on a crowded beach.
A viral video shows the moment two sea lions charged through a crowd at La Jolla Cove over the weekend, sending people into a frenzy. But experts tell KGTV the sea mammals were not actually going after the beachgoers.
"The perception is that the sea lion is chasing after people, and that’s not it at all," Eric Otjen, vice president of zoological operations at SeaWorld San Diego, told KGTV.
Southern California’s beaches and coves may see an increase in sea lions from May through July as the animals enter breeding season, according to the Dolphin Research Center.
"And they all have territories. And some of them don’t have territories. So, the smaller guy running through the crowd of people is the one just looking for a spot to breed," Otjen said. "And the bigger male that you see come in at the very end of that video is the one whose territory he was trying to take over." (cont.)
Esser Agaroth (2¢): I was born and raised in San Diego. But my parents did not take us to La Jolla Cove very often, since it was good, extra 20 to 30 minutes farther to drive, than getting to the closest beach to home.
So, the answer to your next question is no, we did not live in the wealthy Jewish neighborhood. We lived significantly more inland than the La Jolla neighborhood. And, yes, it is a neighborhood, not a city.
As a kid, I swam the rough water competition here, did some of my lifeguard training here, and watched a sunset or two from the top of the Cove.
I remember when there weren't any sea lions on this beach. Sea lions could usually be found sunbathing on docks. Then they pretty much took over part of the Cove. We natives knew to stay away. The tourists? Not so much. I am pretty sure that there signs, though.
Often when I tell native Israelis that I left this city to move to Israel, they wonder why or they even tell me that I lost my mind.
San Diego was a great place to grow up, to explore, to show friends visiting from another city of state, and a great place to party.
Besides the beach, it's next to Mexico, not far from the desert, and only a couple of hours to Los Angeles or Palm Springs.
But it's not Israel, the only true homeland of the Jewish People.

במפגש, בהובלת מנהל המרכז הרפואי, פרופ' מסעד ברהום, ובשיתוף עמותת הידידים, דנו המשתתפים באתגרים של המרכז הרפואי והרשויות המקומיות הסמוכות, ובמטרה להדק את שיתוף הפעולה בין הצדדים.
ראשי הרשויות העבירו מסר ברור לממשלה: "אם לא עכשיו, אימתי?! חובה כעת, בימי המלחמה, לחזק את ביה"ח המרכזי בגליל, הנמצא 9 ק"מ מהגבול הצפוני, להגדיל תשתיותיו ולהזרים תקציבים, שהובטחו לו מזמן ואשר יבטיחו את איתנותו".
בראיון רדיו, שנערך מיד עם תום המפגש המיוחד, אמר פרופ' ברהום: "עלולה להיפתח מלחמה ללא התרעה, וחשוב שנהיה מוכנים. במקרה של מתקפת טילים בגליל, אנו מצפים לתרחיש של אלפי טילים ביום, שיהיה גרוע בהרבה ממה שהיה כאן במלחמת לבנון השנייה. במקרים כאלו, עלולה להיות פגיעה בצירי הדרכים, ולפחות בימים הראשונים, אנו עלולים לפעול כ'אי בודד'. לכן, אנו ממשיכים להיערך לכל התרחישים".

מדוע יש צורך לתרגם אותו לאנגלית? ובכן, בבית החולים הזה היו מבקרים נוצרים מחו"ל. האם זו דרך לבקש תרומות? האם זו דרך לעדכן את התורמים שלו?

אז, מה התשובה לשאלה? האם הם פשוט מנסים להפחיד אותנו, או שהם מנסים להכין אותנו למשהו גדול, ורוצים שנתכונן?
אני חושב שהתשובה היא גם וגם.

The participants discussed the challenges faced by the medical center and the nearby local authorities, aiming to strengthen cooperation. The municipal leaders sent a clear message to the government: "If not now, when?! In the case of a missile attack in the Galilee, we expect a scenario of thousands of missiles per day, which will be much worse than what happened here in the Second Lebanon War. Why bother to put this out in English? Well, this hospital has had Christian visitors from abroad. Is this a way soliciting donations? Is this a way of keeping their donors up to date?
Nahariya has rarely had missle warning sirens go off, once per week at most. So, What Excellent timing from Hezbollah to scare us? It could be. I recall that the same thing occurring in 2014 in Jerusalem, with a siren right at sheqi'ath hahamah (sunset), Erev Shabboth (Friday).

So, the question remains. Are they trying to scare us, or are they trying to get us ready for something big?
My guess is both.
As always, it doesn't matter if the threat is real. And the likes of Hezbollah, Hamas, and Fatah (so-called Palestinian Authority) really do want to wipe us out.
We must always keep in mind that the Erev Rav is always looking for opportunities for Israel to relinquish territory, and always framing it, as if it is for our own good.
