משנה תורה, הל׳ מתנות עניים ח
י פדיון שבויים, קודם לפרנסת עניים ולכסותן; ואין לך מצוה רבה כמו פדיון שבויים: שהשבוי הרי הוא בכלל הרעבים והצמאים, ובכלל הערומים; ועומד בסכנת נפשות. והמעלים עיניו מפדיונו--הרי זה עובר על "לא תאמץ את לבבך, ולא תקפוץ את ידך" (דברים טו,ז), ועל "לא תעמוד על דם ריעך" (ויקרא יט,טז), ועל "לא ירדנו בפרך, לעיניך" (ויקרא כה,נג); וביטל מצות "פתוח תפתח את ידך" (דברים טו,ח; דברים טו,יא), ומצות "וחי אחיך, עימך" (ויקרא כה,לו), "ואהבת לריעך כמוך" (ויקרא יט,יח), ו"הצל, לקוחים למוות" (משלי כד,יא), והרבה דברים כאלו. ואין לך מצוה רבה כפדיון שבויים.

יא אנשי העיר שגבו מעות לבניין בית הכנסת, ובא להן דבר מצוה--מוציאין בו את המעות. קנו אבנים וקורות--לא ימכרו אותן לדבר מצוה, אלא לפדיון שבויים; אף על פי שהביא את הלבינים, וגדרו את האבנים, ופצלו את הקורות, והתקינו הכול לבניין--מוכרין הכול לפדיון שבויים בלבד. אבל אם בנו וגמרו--לא ימכרו את בית הכנסת, אלא יגבו לפדיונן מן הציבור.

יב אין פודין את השבויים ביתר על דמיהן, מפני תיקון העולם--שלא יהיו האויבים רודפין אחריהם לשבותם; ואין מבריחין את השבויים, מפני תיקון העולם--שלא יהיו האויבים מכבידין עליהן את העול, ומרבים בשמירתן.

עשר אגורות (2¢):
שימו לב כיצד ה-IRAC, מחלקת ילוץ של התנועה הרפורמית בישראל, מצטטת בגאווה את משנה תורה של הרמב"ם, ואז מתעלמת מההלכה בהמשך. האם זה מכווין שזה סותר את מה שהם רוצים שהרמב"ם היה אומר?

שוב, התנועה הרפורמית מוכיחה שהיא מונחית על ידי רגשותיה, כמו עשיו אחיו של יעקב, ולא מונחית על ידי התורה האמיתית, כמו יעקב אבינו. מה שחשוב להם הוא מה שהם אוהבים, מה שטעים להם, ומה שבאופנה. מבחינתם תורה אותנטית לעזאזל! (חו״ח)

וְלֹא-תָתוּרוּ אַחֲרֵי לְבַבְכֶם, וְאַחֲרֵי עֵינֵיכֶם, אֲשֶׁר-אַתֶּם זֹנִים, אַחֲרֵיהֶם. (במדבר טו,לט)

התנועה הרפורמית היא הדוגמה המובהקת של יהודים תקועים בגלות המערבית, הולכים לפי הלב והעינים, ואפילו משכנעים את עצמם ואת חסידיה המוטעים שזו תורה!

כמו הם מסלפים את דברי הרמב"ם, כך הם מסלפים פסוקי התורה.

צֶדֶק צֶדֶק, תִּרְדֹּף--לְמַעַן תִּחְיֶה וְיָרַשְׁתָּ אֶת-הָאָרֶץ, אֲשֶׁר-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לָךְ. (דברים טז,כ)

הם מתעלמים את הקשר בין רדיפת צדק לבין ירושת ארץ ישראל ומגורים בה. הם מעדיפים להתמקד בחיתוך ארץ מורשתנו, ולמסור אותה.

לֹא-תִקֹּם וְלֹא-תִטֹּר אֶת-בְּנֵי עַמֶּךָ, וְאָהַבְתָּ לְרֵעֲךָ כָּמוֹךָ: אֲנִי, יְהוָה. (ויקרא יט,יח)

הם מתעלמים מהעניין שפירוש "רעך" הוא מישראל כלומר יהודים.

ברור שלתנועה הרפורמית אין עניין בהלכה. הם לא מקבלים את סמכות התורה שבעל פה.

עודה פעם אני מזכיר לכם על המשל של מהר"ם מרוטנברג. אולי ההיגיון שלו יכול להשפיע להם ולשמאלנים בכלל.

בשנת ה'מ"ו 1286 נכלא המהר"ם על ידי השלטונות במבצר אנזיסהיים (Ensisheim) לאחר שניסה לעלות לארץ ישראל. הקיסר הגרמני דרש סכום כופר עצום כדי לשחררו. על פי המסורת המקובלת, סירב המהר"ם שהקהילה היהודית תפדהו תמורת סכום שכזה מחשש לתקדים שיביא למאסרים ולדרישות כופר דומות נוספות, בסופו של דבר נפטר המהר"ם בכלאו.

אותה דוגמה הועלתה כדי להתנגד לפדיון גלעד שליט בתמורה ל-1,207 אסירים, מכיוון שהמחיר היה גבוה מדי.

אבל העסקה לשחרור גלעד שליט הייתה גרועה ממה שחשבנו. יחיא סינוואר היה אחד מאלה ששוחררו בעסקה.

״את שבעת "האסים" של עסקת שליט אפשר לחלק לשתי קבוצות. הראשונה שבהן היא "חבורת עזה" שכוללת את יחיא סינוואר״ (YNET, 28.09.2021) בגרסה באנגלית של ויקיפדיה כתוב שאחיו של סינוואר הוא תיכנן את החטופה של גלעד שליט.

איך היה המצב הנוכחי שלנו, אם יחיא סינוואר לא היה ניצל, או אם הוא לא היה משוחרר?

איך היה המצב הנוכחי שלנו, אם היינו עושים כדוגמת מהר"ם מרוטנברג, ולא היינו משלמים מחיר כזה על גלעד שליט?

כן. אני יודע. אני גם שמח ששליט חזר אלינו. אני לא יכול להסתכל בעיניים של ההורי בני ערובה בידי חמאס ולהגיד להם לוותר על ילדיהם למען כלל ישראל. אבל זו רק דוגמה לכך שאפילו גם הראש לי עדיין תקוע במידה מסוימת בגלוט המערבית שלנו.

זה לא משנה את ההלכה. זה לא משנה את התורה, כפי שהתנועה הרפורמית רוצה להאמין.

Mishneh Torah, Laws of Gifts to the Poor, Ch. 8
10 The redemption of captives receives priority over sustaining the poor and providing them with clothing. [Indeed,] there is no greater mitzvah (Torah commandment) than the redemption of captives. For a captive is among those who are hungry, thirsty, and unclothed and he is in mortal peril. If someone pays no attention to his redemption, he violates the negative commandments: "Do not harden your heart or close your hand" (Deut. 15:7), "Do not stand by when the blood of your neighbor is in danger" (Lev. 19:16), and "He shall not oppress him with exhausting work in your presence" (ibid. 25:53). And he has negated the observance of the positive commandments: "You shall certainly open up your hand to him" (Deut. 15:8), "And your brother shall live with you" (ibid. 19:18), "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Lev. 19:18), "Save those who are taken for death" (Prov. 24:11), and many other decrees of this nature. There is no mitzvah as great as the redemption of captives.

11 When the inhabitants of a city collected money for building a synagogue and a purpose associated with a mitzvah arose, they may use the money for that purpose. If they purchased stones and beams, they should not sell them [and use the proceeds] for a purpose associated with a mitzvah other than the redemption of captives. Even though they brought the stones [to the building site], cut the beams and shaped them to size, and prepared everything for building, it should all be sold, [but] only for the sake of redeeming captives. If they built [the synagogue] and completed it, it should not be sold. Instead, the funds necessary to redeem the captives should be raised from the community.

12 We do not redeem captives for more than their worth for the benefit of the world at large (Mishnah Gittin 4:6), i.e., so that enemies will not pursue people to hold them captive. We do not assist captives in escaping, for the benefit of the world at large, i.e., so that enemies will not oppress captives seriously and be very strict when guarding them.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Notice how the IRAC, the advocacy arm of the Reform Movement in Israel, proudly cites the Rambam's (Maimonides) Mishneh Torah, but then conveniently ignores the his elaboration of the halakhah (Torah Law) two paragraphs later? Could this be because it contradicts what they want the Rambam to be saying?

Yet again, the Reform Movement demonstrates that it is guided by its feeings, like Jacob's brother Esau, instead of being guided by actual Torah, like Jacob himself. What they like, what is palatable, and what is politically-correct is what matters to them. Authentic Torah be damned!

וְלֹא-תָתוּרוּ אַחֲרֵי לְבַבְכֶם, וְאַחֲרֵי עֵינֵיכֶם, אֲשֶׁר-אַתֶּם זֹנִים, אַחֲרֵיהֶם. (במדבר טו,לט)

...and that you go not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to go astray. (Num. 15:39)

The Reform Movement is the quintessential example of Jews stuck in a Western galuth (exile) mentality, following its heart and its eyes, even convincing themselves and its misguided followers that is Torah!

Like their manipulation of the Rambam, they have done the same with verses directly from the Torah.

צֶדֶק צֶדֶק, תִּרְדֹּף--לְמַעַן תִּחְיֶה וְיָרַשְׁתָּ אֶת-הָאָרֶץ, אֲשֶׁר-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לָךְ. (דברים טז,כ)

Justice, justice shall you pursue, that you may live, and inherit the land which the Lord thy God gives you. (Deut. 16:20)

They conveniently leave out the direct connection between the pursuit of justice an residing in the Land of Israel. They leave out that this, of course, refers to true Torah justice, and not their distorted version of it. Instead, they prefer to focus on chopping up our Land, and giving it away.

לֹא-תִקֹּם וְלֹא-תִטֹּר אֶת-בְּנֵי עַמֶּךָ, וְאָהַבְתָּ לְרֵעֲךָ כָּמוֹךָ: אֲנִי, יְהוָה. (ויקרא יט,יח)

You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord. (Lev. 19:18)

They conveniently leave out that "neighbor" refers to Jews.

Clearly the Reform Movement has no interest in halakhah. How could they? They reject the authority of the Oral Torah. 

For the umteenth time, I will cite the example of Maharam of Rottenberg. Perhaps the logic he uses will knock some sense into them, and Leftists in general.

In 1286, Rabbi Meir bar Barukh of Rothenberg, also known as Maharam of Rottenberg, was captured in the mountains of Lombardy, having been recognized by a baptized Jew named Kneppe, and imprisoned in a fortress near Ensisheim in Alsace. Tradition has it that a large ransom of 23,000 marks silver was raised for him by Asher ben Yehiel, but Rabbi Meir refused it for fear of encouraging the imprisonment of other rabbis. He ruled on his own abduction in light of Talmudic law.  The captives are not redeemed for more than their actual monetary value, for the betterment of the world; (Mishnah Gittin 4:6) Rabbi Meir died in prison after seven years.

This same example was brought up to oppose the redemption of Gilad Shalit in exchange for 1,207 prisoners, as the price was believed to be too high.

But the the deal to release Gilad Shalit was worse than we thought. Yahya Sinwar was one of those released in the deal.

Yahya Sinwar (4 life sentences) – took part in the kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers in 1989 and was sentenced to life in prison. Founder of the Hamas security apparatus in Gaza. His brother organized the abduction of Gilad Shalit in 2006.

Bitton spent years working as a dentist in Israel’s Nafha Prison. It was there he met “the person” – Yahya Sinwar, a Hamas militant convicted of murder who would go on to become the group’s leader in Gaza – saying he saved his life by helping diagnose a brain tumor.

Just think about what our current situation would be like, if Yahya Sinwar had not been saved, or if he had not been released.

Just think about what our current situation would be like, if we had followed the example of Maharan of Rottenberg, and not had paid such a price for Gilad Shalit.

Yes. I know. I am glad he is back, too. I could not possibly look parents of those currently being held by Hamas in the eye and tell them to sacrafice their children. But this is just an example of how even I am still stuck to a degree in our Western Galuth mentality.

It does not change the halakhah. It does not change the Torah, as the Reform Movement might have you believe.

בסרטון (צילומי מסך למטה) ד"ר זאב דגני, מנהל גימנסיה הרצליה היוקרתי בתל-אביב, מנסה למונוע מבחור מלהניח תפילין. זרועו המורמת של דגני בתמונה מפני שהבחור שדחף את ידו מלגעת בו.

דגני עקץ את הרב זלמן הרטמן, חסיד חב"ד שסייע לתלמיד להניח תפילין "אתם מסיתים תלמידים למרוד"...

...בשיחה עם חב"ד אינפו סיפר הרב הרטמן: "אני מגיע לכל בתי ספר התיכון בצפון תל אביב כדי להניח תפילין לבני הנוער ולקרב אותם לדת. ראיתי תגובות כזו של מנהל גימנסיה הרצליה בכל מקום, עם משמעות מסוימת אחרת בכל פעם". (מכתבת ערוץ 7 הנמצאת למטה באנגלית)

בצילומי המסך (קישור לסרטון) למטה הזמר הישראלי קובי פרץ משתתף בהפגנה בכניסה לבית הספר, על ידי סיוע לגבר בהנחת תפילין. השתתף גם ח"כ אלמוג כהן (עוצמה יהודית).

התלמידים מניחים תפילין יחד עם חבר הכנסת. "אחרי ה-7 באוקטובר, כשיהודים נרצחו רק בגלל היותם יהודים, אין מקום לזלזל ולבזות בסמלים יהודיים", קבע ח"כ כהן. (ערוץ 7)

לפי ערוץ 7 (באנגלית), שר החינוך יואב קיש (הליכוד) מתח ביקורת על דגני על כך שלא פעל מוסרית ולא ברוח החינוכי. עם זאת, הוא גם אמר כי חסר לו כל מפנה כלפי דגני, שכן הוא לא עובד בחסות משרד החינוך, והאירוע לא התרחש במסגרת בית הספר, ואף לא היה בלתי חוקי [על פי חוק מדינת ישראל]. בהפגנת נגד לכאורה...

זה מזכיר לי על השיבושים המגעילים לתפילות הציבוריות בתל אביב ביום הכיפורים האחרון. אולם במקרה זה, אישה זו מנסה לגרום ליהודי לחטוא, כביכול ברוח חופש הביטוי הדת. ברור שחופש הביטוי הדת לא מופיע בתורה בכלל אלא דווקא רק ההפך של חופש הביטוי הדת מופיע בתורה.

זו לא הפעם הראשונה שמשהו כזה קורה. חבל שכנראה זו לא הפעם האחרונה.

In a video (screen shots above), Dr. Ze'ev Degani, the principal of the prestigious Gymansia Hertzliya High School in Tel-Aviv, attempts to stop a young man from putting on tefillin. Degani's raised arm in the screen shot is from the young man pushing his hand away from him.

He [Degani] berated Rabbi Zalman Hartman, a Chabad Hassid who was assisting the student with the ritual, "You are inciting students to rebel..."

...In a conversation with Chabad Info, Rabbi Hartman recounted: "I go to all of the high schools in northern Tel Aviv to put Tefillin on the teens and bring them closer to religion. I've seen reactions like the one from the principal of the Gymnasium (sic. Gymnasia Hertzliya H. S.) in every place, with a different connotation every time."

The next set of screen shots (video link) shows Israeli singer Kobi Peretz participating in the demonstration at the school's entrance, by assisting someone to put on tefillin. MK Almog Cohen (Otzmah Yehudit) also participated.

The students put on tefillin together with the Knesset member. "After October 7th, when Jews were murdered only because they were Jewish, there is no place to disrespect and disparage Jewish symbols," MK Cohen stated.

According to the Arutz 7 report, Education Minister Yoav Kisch (Likud) criticized Degani for neither acting morally nor in the spirit of education. However, he also said that he lacks any recourse against Degani, since he is not employed by the Ministry of Education, and the incident did not take place within the school setting, nor was illegal [according to Israeli law].

In an apparent counter-demonstration...

A woman tries to shove a pork sausage into the mouth of a religious (Orthodox Jewish) man who came to hand out tzitziyot to students who were protesting outside the Gymnasia Herzliya High School in Tel Aviv, after the principal violently kicked out a man from Chabad who had come to help young men put on tefillin. (see the tweet above)

This is reminiscent of the disgusting disruptions to the public prayers in Tel-Aviv this past Yom Kippur. However, in this case, this woman is trying to cause a Jew to sin, presumedly in the spirit of freedom of religious expression, of which only the opposite of this concept appears in the Torah.

So this is not the first time such a thing has happened. And I am afraid that this is not the last.

א שלוש מצוות נצטוו ישראל בשעת כניסתן לארץ--למנות להם מלך שנאמר "שום תשים עליך מלך" (דברים יז,טו), ולהכרית זרעו של עמלק שנאמר "תמחה את זכר עמלק" (דברים כה,יט), ולבנות להם בית הבחירה (בית מקדש) שנאמר "לשכנו תדרשו, ובאת שמה" (דברים יב,ה).

עשר אגורות (2¢):
למרות המחלוקת על חובת סדר הקמת המצוות האלה לפי סדר הרמב״ם אין ספק שעם ישראל לא הצליח לקיים את שולש המצוות האלה בכלל. אם ניסינו לקיים אותם? אכפת לממשלה של מדינת ישראל מקיום המצוות האלה?

אולי מעולם לא נתנו לנו לקיים את המצוות האלה.

יש אומרים שהכנסת קיימת במקום המלך. באופן זמני? לנצח?

אין ספק למה רוב ח״כים התעצבנו זעמו כשהרב ח״כ מאיר כהנא הי״ד ציטט את הל׳ מלכים ומלחמות ג,י [ט] של הרמב״ם בנואמו בכנסת.

המבטל גזירת המלך בשביל שנתעסק במצוות, אפילו במצוה קלה--הרי זה פטור: דברי הרב ודברי העבד, דברי הרב קודמין. ואין צריך לומר אם גזר המלך לבטל מצוה, שאין שומעין לו.

כלומר אם גזר המלך לבטל מצוה, ואין צריך לומר שאין שומעין לו , אז קל וחומר אם גזרה הכנסת לבטל מצוה, אין צריך לומר שאין שומעין לה.

ואין צריך לומר שב-75 שנים האחרונות ממשלת ישראל גזרה לבטל מצוה המון פעמים.

בטח שאני כותב על באופן תאורטי. אני לא רוצה להעצר בחדש המרדה.
אני שמעתי את הבדיחה הזו מדי אצל חרדים.

בביאת המשיח מסדרים את סעודת. איזה רב גדול מגיע לסעודה. מקבלים אותו בכבוד ומלווים אותו למקומו. בדרך הרב שואלֿ את המלצר ״מי שוחט את שור הבור של הסעודה?״ המלצר עונה לו ואמר את השם של עוד רב גדול ומחובד ומומחה מפורסם בשחיטה. ואז הרב הראשון שישב אמר, ״הבנתי. אז תביא לי את המנה של דג בלבד.״

זאת אומרת של אפילו בביאת המשיח והגיע גם אליהו הנביא וגם משה רבינו וגם רבנים גדולים שעדיין יהיו מחלוקות בכשרות למשל.

הציונות אומרת שארץ ישראל שייכת לעם ישראל ולא לאף עם אחר.

הציונים המזויפים לא רוצים מדינה יהודית אמיתית ולא תורנית למרות שהמקורות לכך נזכרים הרבה פעמים בתורה.

יש הרבנים הציונים שמפחדים להכריז את האמת. הם פשוט סובלים המחלה של ״ראש תקוע בגלות״. אני לא כועס עליהם אלא אני מאוכזב מהם. אבל אין להם שום זכות לקרוא לעצמיהם רבבנים.

למי שלא יודע מה זה ציונות באמת, עליכם חובה ללכת ללמוד מה זה במקום להפיץ מידע מוטעה. למשל אפשר לקרוא עוד על הציונות באתר הזה.

הצבועים שמזדהים כציונים, אבל לא מאמינים בציונות באמת הם מעצבנים אותי. הם מעוותים את הפירוש והמשמעות הציונות, ובאמתת נלחמים נגדה.

הצגת שווא של רעיונות של עולם המערב כרעיונות מהתורה, כגוון פלורליזם, שוויון, התבוללות וגלובליזם היא האסטרטגייה העיקרית ביותר שלהם.

זאת אומרת הם משקרים.

הנה עוד בדיחה:

כשהמשיח יבוא ורוצה להכין תכנית להכרית זרעו של עמלק ולהתחיל לבנות את בית המקדש השלישי וקודם כל לשים כתר על ראשו ולפזר את הכנסת, מה הדתיים הממלכתיים יעשו?

הם יעצרו אותו.

Israel was commanded to fulfill three mitzvoth upon entering the Land: To choose a king, as is is said: "Appoint a king over yourselves" (Deut. 17:15); To wipe out the descendants of Amaleq, as as is is said: "Erase the memory of Amaleq" (Deut. 29:19); To build God's Chosen House (Temple), as is is said: "Seek out His Presence and go there." (Deut. 12:5)

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Despite the differing opinions over the order in which these mitzvoth (Torah commandments) must be implemented, there is no doubt that the Jewish people has failed to fulfill these three mitzvoth at all. Did we even try to fulfill them? Are we willing to admit that we (Jews) are not fully in control of of the Land, and thus unable to fulfill these mitzvoth, even if we wanted to? Does the State of Israel's government care about such things?

Perhaps we simply were never allowed to fulfill these mitzvoth.

Some say that the Knesset is a stand-in for the king. Temporarily? For ever? This was never clear to me. I have heard more than one opinion on this issue.

There is no doubt in my mind why the majority of Members of Knesset were enraged when Rabbi MK Meir Kahane hy"d quoted from the Rambam's (Maimonides') Laws of Kings and Wars 3:10 [9] in one of his speeches.

One who negates a king's command because he was occupied with a mitzvah, even a minor one, is not liable. Whose words should have precedence in case of conflict, the words of the Master or the words of the subject? Needless to say, if a king decrees that a mitzvah should be negated, his words should not be heeded.

That is, if the king decreed to abolish a mitzvah, that we are not to obey, then all the more so if the Knesset decreed to abolish a mitzvah, we should not obey that.

And it does not need to be said that in the last 75 years the Israeli government decreed to cancel a mitzvah many times.

Of course, I am writing theoretically.

I heard the following joke among Haredim (ultra-Orthodox).

At the coming of Messiah, his celebratory feast is being arranged. A very great rabbi comes to the feast. He is received with respect and escorted to his seat. On the way, this rabbi asks, "Who is shekhting (slaughtering in a kosher manner) the shor habor (the bull) for the meal?" The waiter answers him, with the name of another great, and well respected rabbi, considered an expert in halakhoth of kashruth (dietary laws), including kosher slaughter. As the great and honored rabbi is being seated, he tells the waiter, "Fine then. I'll just have the fish."

This means that even with the coming of the Messiah and the arrival of Elijah the prophet and Moshe our Rabbi and also great rabbis that there will still be disputes about kashruth for example.

Zionism is the belief that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish People, and to no other. The sources for this is found countless times in the Torah.

The fake Zionists do not really want to have a truly Jewish state.

Those Zionist rabbis who are afraid to declare the truth are simply suffering from a case of being stuck in a galuth (exile) mentality. I am not angry with them, just disappointed. They do not have any business calling themselves rabbis.

To those who do not actually know what Zionism means, you have an obligation to go learn what it means, instead of spreading misinformation. For example, you can read more of this blog.

Those who really get on my nerves are the hypocrites who call themselves Zionists, but who are just faking it, purposely distorting its meaning, and in reality fighting against Zionism.

Misrepresenting Western concepts as Torah concepts, such as pluralism, egalitarianism, assimilation, and globalism is one of their greatest weapons.

In other words, they lie.

When the Messiah comes and wants to start planning to eradicate the seed of Amaleq, start building the Third Temple, and first and foremost put a crown on his head, and disperse the Knesset, what will the religious, mamlakhtim (diehard state loyalists) do ?

That according to many Rishonim it is a positive commandment, even now, in our time.
And even according to the Rishonim that did not accept it as a positive commandment now, in our time, that is only min haTorah, but mid’Rabbanan, it is surely a mitzva even now, in our time to live in the Land of Israel, just as the Ramba"m (Maimonides) rules, and also in the Shulchan Aruch, Even haEzer.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
This is exactly what those Jews identifying as Religious Zionists say, or rather, what they should be saying. Are they all saying this? Of Belgium is no stranger to antisemitic attacks. I have heard first hand reports from both Hassidic (Vizhnitz) and Modern Orthodox friends in Antwerp. So perhaps this contributed to the Rebbe's motivation behind his speech, or at least in part.

Nevertheless, you would be hard pressed to find New Yorkers or Los Angelinos rallying their fellow Jews, any more than usual, to pick up and leave the U. S. and relocate to the only true, homeland of the Jewish People, the Land of Israel.

A previous Belzer Rebbe, either the current one's uncle, or before him, once said that he is more Zionist than the Zionist, and proceeded to recite verses from Tana"kh (The Bible) by heart with the word ״ציון״ (Zion) in them. I wish Jews could learn from this example, connecting Zionism to its original source, Tana"kh and The Almighty's promise of the Land of Israel to the Jewish People, even more so, now right before Rosh HaShannah, the Jewish New Year.

What happens to those teachers who choose not have Internet service at home? Until now, these teachers and students connect through the Zoom conferencing service through a local telephone number. (Yes. There is such a thing.) This means that Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) students without internet service at home receive material only by way of the teacher's voice. This means no pictures nor graphics, save for what is included in their text books, no writing nor drawing diagrams on the board, etc. In other words, every student who learns over the phone loses out.

And what about students with learning difficulties? Such students are already frustrated. They are only destined to become even more frustrated. And what happens to frustrated religious students? They throw off their kippot (skullcap/religious observance).

Is this what powers that be want?

I have already warned you that if we don't "behave" like good little Jewish boys and girls on Purim, then we may very well get punished for Passover.

The report continues...

"The experts also recommended allowing open-air prayers for up to 20 people, provided all participants have been vaccinated."

Does this mean that Jews may be prevented from hearing the reading of Megillath Esther (Scroll of Esther) on the holiday of Purim? The reading of Megillath Esther takes precedence over all other mitzvoth (Torah commandments), save for burial of the dead. It even takes precedence over Torah study, and when the Beth HaMiqdash (Temple) stands, it takes precedence over the work of the Kohanim (Temple priests).

Will the government tell us to hear the Megillath Esther on Zoom, even though this does not fulfill this mitzvah?

Sure. Why not? What does the government the powers that be care about mitzvoth?

Arutz 7 reports that so far "...no sanctions will be taken against [IDF] soldiers who refuse to be vaccinated." Nor should their be. But shouldn't civilians also be entitled to the same rights?

מצד אחד, זה מעצב אותי שזה המצב של אלמה מאטר שלי. מצד שני, למה שאכפת לי מהחיים הקודמים שלי בגלות (גלות). ההודעה בסרטון זה ברור מאוד. למרבה הצער, היחס של היהודים, הזדהותם ונאמנותם לארצות מגוריהם, הם רואים את העלייה לארץ ישראל כוויתור ובריחה. האמת היא שהמדינות האלה מחוץ לארץ ישראל אמורות להיות רק מקומות מגורים זמניים, לא קבועים. מהמסורת שלנו אנחנו לומדים שכ-80% מעם ישראל נשארו במצרים, ורק 20% מהם הצליחו לצאת למדבר סיני.

כשאני למדתי באוניברסיטת קליפורניה בלוס אנג'לס [UCLA] בשנות ה-80, במהלך מחאות אנטי-אפרטהייד ו- BDS נגד דרום אפריקה, הביטוי "ציונות = גזענות" הופיע בדלת איגוד הסטודנטים השחורים (אפריקאים-אמריקאים). היה ויכוח ודיון על הביטוי הזה, בין אם זה נכון ובין אם לאו, והאם יש לאיגוד הסטודנטים השחורים (כך קראו לעצמם) הגן על חופש הדיבור כדי להציג ביטוי כזה בפומבי.

ההתפתחות הטבעית שהובילה לאלימות בפאנל זה החלה לפני זמן רבהרבה זמן.

As you might have guessed, I definitely have some things to say about this incident.

First, what's a Palestinian? See Pseudostinians for the origin story of this group [of groups] of Arabs.

Second, even when we team up with non-Jews, it often backfires. And when it doesn't, the concept that Jews are a distinct and separate people goes out the window. Often, the non-Jews end up blaming the Jews, and think better of teaming up with us in the future.

This panel was based on the rights and lands of indigenous peoples. I have already debunked the notion that Jews are indigenous to the Land of Israel (See Debunking the Indigenous Argument.) We are not indigenous. Even if we were, the only concern we should have is what The Almighty wants.

There were times when he did not want us living in the Land of Israel. Now, it is quite clear to me that he does, having performed miracles for us, upon our deciding to performance of the mitzvah (commandment) of conquering the Land. We have not completed the second half of that mitzvah. But, that is another post for another time. In short, the entire Land of Israel was promised to the People of Israel, and only to the People of Israel, by The Holy One, Blessed Be He, and to remove from the Land certain elements. (See Num. 33:50-56; Deut. 7:1-6; Mishneh Torah: Laws of Avodah Zarah and Goyim 10, Laws of Kings and the Wars)

On one hand, it saddens me that this is the state of my alma mater. On the other, why should I care about my previous life in galosh (exile). The message in this video is loud and clear. Unfortunately, Jews' attitude of connection, identification, and loyalty to their countries of residence, that they view Aliyah as giving up and running away. The truth is that these countries outside of the Land of Israel are only supposed to be temporary dwelling places, not permanent homelands.

Our tradition states that 80% of our population remained in Egypt, only 20% making it out into the Sinai Desert.

When I was studying at UCLA in the '80's, during the anti-Apartheid protests and BDS against South Africa, the phrase "Zionist = Racism" showed up on the outside of the door of the Black Students' Union. There was debate and discussion over this phrase, whether it was true or not, and whether the Black Students Union (That's what they called it back then) had protected freedom of speech to display such a phrase publicly.

The natural progression leading up to the violence at this panel began long ago.

The only question now is how long will it take my fellow Bruins, and all of my fellow Jews to wake up, see the writing on the wall, and get on the plane already.

דרך אגב, למה המלון הזה קונה מים מרשמת הגולן? מפעל מי עין גדי נמצא קרוב מאוד למלון. זה לא הגיוני.

לפחות המלון הזה עדיין מתיחס לרק שני מינים (מִגְדָּרים). יש השרדה בין גברים לנשים בחדרי השמש (סוֹלַרְיוּם בלועז) לאו דוקא בזכות הדתיים אפילו שגם דתיים וגם מוסלמים ערביים היו מערכים דבר כזה. אלא יש הפרדה כמו המלתחות במועדון כושר. וגם יש אנשים פשוט מעדיפים לשכב ולהשתזף בערום.

אני לא השתזפתי היום על גג המלון בערום אפילו שהייתי לבד. בכל מקרה הייתי יכול אם רציתי.

יוּסף (שם מזויף) עבד בקבלה כשאני הגעתי. היה הגיוני בגלל כל התיירים הערביים שהיו במלון.

אפילו יש הזדמנות לכתוב על האורחים הערביים במלון ואיך הם נהנים מהזכויות שלהם כאזרח ישראל ועל המשכורות הנותנות להם לבלות כמה ימים בים המלח במלון די יוקרתי ללא צורך לדבר בעברית בכלל, אני לא כותב על זה.

ואפילו יש גם הזדמנות לכתוב על העובדים הערביים במלון, כולל המנהל העומד בקבלה, במלון ואיך הם יכולים לעבוד ללא צורך לדבר הרבה בעברית, ונהנים מהזכויות שלהם כאזרח ישראל, אני לא כותב על זה.

אני גם לא כותב נגד העניין המגוחך שמדינת ישראל היא מדינה של אָפַּרְטְהַיְד (הפרדת אוכלוסייה על בסיס הגזע) .

אני נותן לאנשי ״הסברה״, פעילים למען הזכויות ל (ארץ מולדת), ולעוד יהודים ביחסי תלות שיתופית (codependent בלועז) עם הגוים לדאג על עניינים האלה.

א) מפני שהרבה יהודים, גם בארץ וגם בחו״ל, חושבים שטוב לנו שהערבים (וגם הנוצרים מברית המרצות שעברה ומאתיופיה, המסתננים ממדינות אפריקניות, כל מיני יהודים מזויפים) מתקדמים בתהליך להשתלב בהצלחה , יש להם זכויות ״דמוקרטיות״ במדינת ישראל [יותר] שוות מאזרחי מדינת ישראל עצמם. ואין שום ספק שמנהיגי מדינת ישראל רוצים שהמדינה תהיה ממש כמו כל מדינות הגוים. יש הרבה סיבות למה ההשקפה והאמון כאלה לא מסתדרים עם ענייני התורה, שנאמר לא תחנם. ומצוות לא תעשה הזו היא רק אחת מהסיבות. 

ב) מפני שסוף סוף אנחנו חייבים להתעורר ולהסיק את האכפתיות ממחשבות, דעות, והרגשות של הגוים ממנו. וזאת אומרת להפסיק להיות ביחסי תלות שיתופית איתם, ולהתחיל לדאג על מה שאנחנו חושבים על עצמנו. ואפילו אני מעיז להציע שאנחנו כבר צריכים לדאג על מה שהקדוש ברוך הוא חושב עלינו באמת ולא כאילו.

When I arrived last night, Yussef (not his real name) was on duty at the reception desk. It made sense, since there was a large group of Arabs tourists staying at this hotel.

Even though this would be a good opportunity to write about these Arab guests, enjoying their rights of Israeli citizenship, and the obvious decent livelihood, allowing them to enjoy some luxury time at the Dead Sea, I won't.

Even though this would also be a good opportunity to write about the Arab employees, including the desk manager, enjoying their rights of Israeli citizenship, and jobs, I won't.

Nor will I write against the ridiculous notion that Israel is an "apartheid state."

I will leave these topics to the emotionally co-dependent Hasbarites, and so-called Indigenous Rights advocates.

Why?

1. Because so many Jews, both in and outside of Israel, seem to think this a good thing that Arabs, not to mention Christians from the Former Soviet Union and Ethiopia, refugees insurgents from various countries, and any number of other individual and groups of fake Jews, are becoming increasingly integrated, enjoy, equal "democratic" rights within the State of Israel, which apparently wants to be a nation just like all other nations. In so many ways, this attitude is not in line with Torah. שנאמר לא תחנם. And this negative mitzvah (commandment) is only one of these ways.

2. Because, once and for all, we must wake up, and stop caring about what the goyim (nations) think about us already, and start caring about what we think of ourselves. And dare I mention the Holy One, Blessed Be He?

It doesn't matter what anyone thinks of us. It doesn't matter if one more, or one million more of them comes to love and accept us, or if they will continue to hate us. עשו שונא ליעקב Esau hates Ya'aqov. And his spiritual descendants will continue to do so, until we finally learn to love, accept, and respect ourselves. This includes having the courage to defend ourselves, and not being embarrassed and sorry about it afterwards, resulting in our compensating our enemies, and rebuilding their infrastructure.

IDF Chief of Staff Disrespects the Talmud? Or Worse?

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gadi Eizenkot made a surprising statement on Wednesday morning during a visit to Bat Yam, in which he defended the army's controversial open-fire orders and brushed off the teachings of the Jewish sages.

During his visit to the city's cultural center which was attended by high school students, he said, "the phenomenon of terror accompanies Israeli society throughout the years, and there also were knifings years ago. It could be in Tel Aviv, in Otniel or Ariel. We see mutual influence between what happens in the Middle East with Daesh (ISIS) and what happens for us here (in Israel)."

One of the high school students asked Eizenkot whether he intends to change the opening fire procedures, arguing that the current orders endanger the lives of IDF soldiers and are stricter than ever.

Last August the orders were made even tighter, mandating soldiers in Judea and Samaria to only fire in the air, and not even shoot the lower extremities of an attacker other than in extreme cases of imminent life-threatening danger. In May, it was reported that IDF soldiers were told to avoid killing terrorists, even if they spot them as they are about to throw a potentially lethal firebomb or rock at a car.

But Eizenkot argued the orders don't need changing on Wednesday, and went on to disparage a famous Talmudic maxim on self-defense.

"The IDF cannot speak in slogans like 'when someone comes to kill you – kill him first,'" he said, citing the dictum. Eizenkot also dismissed as a "slogan" the following: "everyone holding scissors must be killed." Arab terrorists have conducted numerous lethal stabbings with scissors during the recent wave of attacks.

The Talmudic dictum was recently quoted by Chief Sephardic Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef last October, when he praised soldiers who kill attacking terrorists and lauded them for performing a mitzvah. (cont.)

The impression of Gen. Eizenkot we get from this report descends fairly quickly from a place of apparent naïveté to one of either ignorance or incompetence. It is hard to tell. Eizenkot does not even come off like a real general. Instead, he seems more like the caricature of a general.

In his visit on Wednesday, Eizenkot also spoke about the security cooperation with the Palestinian Authority (PA).

"There is cooperation with the Palestinian security mechanisms, there are 40,000 security personnel of this sort," he said, noting the large number of PA forces who were established and armed by Israel in the 1994 Oslo Accords.

The general is proud of this fact? That the State of Israel has been arming people who want to annihilate the Jewish People, and conquer all of Eretz Yisra'el, the Jewish Homeland, for its own?

Does he really mention the Oslo Accords as something which has shown itself to have been something positive to Am Yisra'el? It sure sounds this way.

A growing number of the terrorists in recent attacks have proven to be PA policemen, in a disturbing trend that is being openly promoted by sources such as Hamas.

Following the 2000 Second Intifada or Oslo War, in which over 1,000 Israelis were murdered, PA officials later bragged that 70% of the attacks were conducted by PA Security Force members.

In a report from YNET, on the general's visit to the Bat-Yam cultural center, we are informed that he stated...

"The West Bank has thousands of troops operating amongst two million Palestinians and hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens. We educate our soldiers to act according to the IDF's ethics and spirit, and it is much easier to work with Syria or Lebanon in this matter. There were 170 terrorist incidents in recent months, and more than 100 terrorists were killed in situations in which the troops had split-second decisions to make. I would not want a soldier to unload an entire clip into a girl who is holding scissors. Our troops are moral and we know how to preserve this quality."

Well, it no surprise that Gen. Eizenkot favors Western exile morality over Torah morality. In contrast...

...A week earlier senior Sephardic Rabbi Meir Mazuz urged Israeli bystanders to kill terrorist attackers rather than capture them alive, and Tzfat (Safed) Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu likewise warned not to let terrorists "survive their attacks," to prevent their ability to be freed and return to attack again....

To what "threat" Gen. Eizenkot is referring, which he believes would target the IDF, I have absolutely no idea. Nor, do I know what he means by "unethical manner." Defending oneself effectively against attack is unethical, and waiting until the last possible millisecond to defend oneself is ethical?

Furthermore, Gen. Eizenkot has obviously never seen, or is, at the very least, oblivious to the maps which can be found the emblems "Palestinian" organizations. These are not even considered by the State of Israel as the extremists, but rather the mainstream "Palestinian" leadership.

Has he been living under a rock?

How does he believe these maps ended up on their emblems? By accident?

I do not know which would be worse, Gen. Eizenkot really seeing PA President Abbas's Fata"h Party differently from Hamas and Hezbollah, or him not seeing them as being much different from one another, but pushing such IDF policies anyway, which put soldiers at even greater risk than they already are.

Many will gladly point the finger at Gen. Eizenkot, knowing how obviously wrong and dangerous the IDF's open-fire policy is. But, the finger really needs to be pointed at those much higher up on the food chain, orchestraters of the Oslo Accords, such as Shimon Peres (left). Second on the list, should come Prime Minister Netanyahu (right), who has apparently been rendered powerless to do anything, by his handlers, both inside and outside of Israel.

Jewish lives clearly do not matter nearly as much as what the goyim will say.

Oh, and what about the State of Israel's chief military officer referring to a line from the Talmud as a "slogan?"

Who else was awoken at 6:00am this morning by the muezzin (caller to prayer)? After years of living in the Shomron (Samaria), I thought I had habituated to it, and I had. Here in Jerusalem, next to an Arab neighborhood, my successful habituation has been holding up.

However, this morning, we were awaken by special prayers and sermon, and particularly loud ones at that, for the Muslim Eid al-Adha, which celebrates the conclusion of the Hajj to Mecca, and commemorates the Muslim belief that Avraham brought his son Yishma'el for sacrifice. Even though any Jew would tell you that Avraham brought his son Yitzhaq to be sacrificed, while Yishma'el waited at the foot of the mountain Har Moriah (Temple Mount), with his servant Eli'ezer, and the donkeys.

This is why I was taken aback by the Times of Israel's Eid Mubarak (Blessed Holiday) greeting yesterday evening after Yom Kippur, not just condoning, but celebrating kefirah (denial of the Torah).

In addition to their distortion of one of Avraham's aforementioned tests (10 tests in all, Mishnah Avoth 5:), Muslims will tell you that the Ka'aba, which was recently threatened with destruction by a falling crane, was built by Avraham, and that their pebble throwing at a representation of Satan cam from Avraham as well. Even though pebble [not stone, not rock, not sticks, but pebble] throwing was associated with the worship of Mercury, long before the invention of Islam.

US President Barack Obama on Wednesday sent holiday wishes to Muslims around the world celebrating Eid al-Adha on Wednesday.

"As more than 2 million Muslims from around the world and across the United States mark the end of their holy pilgrimage of Hajj in Mecca, Michelle and I extend our warmest wishes to Muslims around the world celebrating Eid al-Adha," Obama stated.

"This pilgrimage and Eid is about sacrifice, almsgiving, and equality," he said, adding that the Hajj is reminiscent of the principle upon which the United States was founded: e pluribus unum – out of many, one.

Obama also praised the spirit of giving to the needy on Eid al-Adha, stating that "Muslim American organizations are among those at the forefront of attending to victims in this refugee crisis."

Of course, the "crisis" is not really a crisis, and Islam has nothing to do with equality.

Contrary to earlier fears and reports, Minister of Defense Moshe Yaalon wants to legalize the Oz Vegaon memorial nature park at Gush Etzion, not tear it down.

The Head of the Etzion Bloc Regional Council, Davidi Perl, expressed his gratitude Wednesday for the decision by Yaalon to speed up bureaucratic approval of the park near the Etzion Junction, and prevent it from being destroyed.

The site was set up by Women in Green immediately following the terrorist abduction and murder of three teens – Eyal Yifrah, Naftali Frenkel and Gilad Shaar Hy”d – last summer.

"The minister of defense has once again proven that he is a friend of the settlement enterprise,” Perl added. He said that the incident proved that working quietly and directly vis-a-vis the Defense Ministry is the best way to achieve results in Judea and Samaria.

"Together with the security establishment, we will continue to take action toward the quick and quiet legalization of all of Judea and Samaria," he predicted.

MK Oren Hazan (Likud) assisted in preventing the move to tear down the park. “Good news,” he tweeted Tuesday. “Pursuant to my request to the Defense Ministry, at this point the minister's representatives gave a commitment that the Oz Vegaon reserve in memory of the youths hy”d will not be evacuated and a proper solution found.”

Hayne, 27, described as a “Christian superstar rugby player,” ultimately deleted the tweets on Friday morning. The Australian native — twice a top player in the NRL — announced a $100,000 futures contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March. 

The accusation that Jewish people killed Jesus led to antisemitism and violence against Jewish communities for centuries, mainly in Europe but also in other parts of the world. The Catholic Church signed a document just half a century ago recognizing that Jews were not culpable for Jesus’ death.

Chairman of the B’nai Brith Anti-Defamation Commission, Dvir Abromovich, criticized Hayne for bringing up the thousands-of-years-old accusation, thus “fueling antisemitism.” 

“We need sportspeople to be powerful voices in countering racism and Jewish-hatred, especially when attacks against Jews worldwide are on the increase,” he said, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

So, when Hayne says, "By his own people," he is already making an inaccurate statement. No one should be surprised, though, because like his predecessors, he does not possess the Oral Torah, and thus could not possibly know what he is talking about. Well, assuming Hayne's false deity ever even existed,...we was certainly not part of the Jewish people. He lost the right to call himself one of Israel (See the Ramba"m above).

Hint to all those trying to change his title, Hebraicize their false religion, and latch onto the Jewish People and its Land, let this be a lesson to you.

The man Christians have been trying to Hebraicize to "Yeshu'a," is actually called Yeshu by the Jews, which is an acronym for ימך שמו וזכרו/May his name and memory be blotted out.

Have we so easily forgotten why this blessing was added to our daily prayers?

There is a reason why Shemonah Esrei (18 blessing) prayer does not have 18 blessings, but rather 19. Rabban Gamliel ztz"l added one:

למשומדים אל תהי תקווה, כל המינים כרגע יאבדו, ומלכות זדון תעקור ותשבור, מהרה בימינו. ברוך אתה ה', שובר אויבים ומכניע זדים.

The versions vary among Jewish traditions, but the hathimah (ending blessing) is the same.

I know that my fellow Jews will want to make silly comments about being afraid of what the viscous goyim may do to you, outside of Eretz Yisra'el (Land of Israel).

Here in Israel, we put our lives on the line everyday, so I don't want hear it.

If you are a Jew, and are not living in Eretz Yisra'el, then you are not living in your Homeland. So, if you want to criticize, then get on the plane, and come tell it to me here.

And to Christians, who claim not to have any idols. Formulating the concept of Yeshu in your minds, while you have the audacity to "HaShem" out loud, and in front Jews, is even worse, as you are desecrating His Holy Name with your filth.

Who are you talking about anyway?

The one with the Roman soldier, rapist father? Or was he a rapist?

Are you worshiping a composite figure? Or are you simply worshiping pure myth.

And which culture was Christian mythology begged, borrowed, or stolen from? Egypt? Babylonian? Assyrian? Take your pick.

I will say one thing for Jarryd Hayne. Unlike the Christians attempting to befriend, convert, and steal the Land of the Jewish People, Hayne at least appears to be honest in expressing how he feels.
