What Do You Call Someone Who Throws A Rock At You?

JPost: Liberman: IDF Should Open Fire At Stone-Throwers
JPost.com Staff, March 17, 2013

Avigdor Lieberman
Former FM urges change to IDF rules of engagement, claiming "only this kind of change will stop targeting of citizens."

Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Liberman urged incoming Defense Minister, Moshe Ya'alon, on Sunday to change the IDF's rules of engagement to instruct soldiers to open fire at "rock-throwing terrorists."

Liberman asserted that "rock-throwing [should] be treated like shooting using firearms," adding that "only this kind of change will stop civilians and soldiers from being targeted by Arab rioters and prevent disasters."

Hatzoloh, the religious first-response team works to release a car and its wounded passengers.
Liberman's comments came in response to a rock-throwing incident on Thursday in which rocks thrown at a bus on Route 5 near Ariel in the West Bank caused an accident that left five people injured, among them a toddler in critical condition.

The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) released a report last week documenting a significant rise in Palestinian attacks in the West Bank and east Jerusalem in February. (Duh!)

A total of 139 attacks, including firebombings and the use of improvised explosives, took place in February, compared to 83 in January. One hundred of February’s attacks took place in the West Bank – 84 of them firebombings – compared to 56 in the previous month. In the capital, 38 attacks – 35 of them firebombings – were registered by the Shin Bet in February, compared to 27 in January.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Is there really much an can add here, except why the heck hasn't a Member of Knesseth [MK] said something like this before?  I am sure that one has, but can you remember who it was? And, why hasn't this already been established as standard IDF policy?

I am no fan of Avigdor Lieberman's. But, when he's right, he's right.

What would YOU to protect your three year old daughter?

Separated At Birth: Satan And Obama

ט' לחודש הראשון תשע"ג

I know that this is already old, but I couldn't resist jumping on the bandwagon for this one.

People all over are criticizing or praising, some silly Christian movie's portrayal of Satan, or in the correct Hebrew, The Satan (adversary).

Tell me this actor (in heavy make-up?) doesn't look like U. S. President Obama.

Satan or Obama: Which is which?
Accidental, unconscious, or on purpose, their similarities are too uncanny.

As the U. S. President gets ready to upset the daily life of Israelis, particularly in Jerusalem, he can already expect that he will not be greeted by most as "Saint Obama."

Now with this movie image burned into our minds, we can expect the president to be greeted with another nickname for sure.

Lapid + Bennett + Netanyahu = Laban

ח' לחודש הראשון תשע"ג

Today, someone pointed me to a headline from the free, Haredi newspaper מרכז העניינים Merkaz HaInyanim, which read something like Laban = Lapid + Bennett + Netanyahu .

The same appeared in a comment (#18) to an article on the Kikar Shabbat news site.
ולבן ביקש לעקור את הכול, שנאמר "ארמי אובד אבי, ויירד מצריימה, ויגר שם..." דברים כו,ה

And Laban wanted to uproot everything, as it is said, "A wandering Aramean was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there..." -Deut. 26:5

The traditional understanding is that whereas Pharoah killed only the boys; Laban wanted to kill the boys AND the girls.

לבן = לפיד+בנט+נתניהו Laban=Lapid+Bennett+Netanyahu
Actually, Lieberman and Livni also begin with a ל.
But the word לעקור (uproot) is very telling. Uproot what? Uproot certain settlers? Will this lead to the uprooting of more than just certain settlers from the Land? Is the Torah on its way to being uprooted from the People and the Land?

That is impossible, of course, but it certainly appears that is what they are trying to do, and probably to what the Merkaz HaInyanim newspaper was referring.

Of course, the mamlakhtim (undying "religious" state loyalists) have always been on the path of putting state before the Torah. Whether it is their fault, the fault of their "rabbis," or the fault of the delusional insanity is irrelevant. This is their path. And, Naftali Bennett is clearly one of them.

And, thus, clearly the National Religious/Jewish Home Party is neither national, religious, Jewish, [interested in our] home, nor really even a party.

Discuss amongst yourselves.

"Coffee Talk"

So, this Passover Seder, make sure that when you and loved ones arrive at this portion of the Passover Hagadah, that you that you see the [fake] Religious Zionists [the Mamlakhtim] for who they really are. Most are just misguided, indoctrinated, or brainwashed. Some of them, including their "rabbis" are much worse.

Security For The Pope Emeritus: Oh, Really?

ז' לחודש הראשון תשע"ג

Please read the following, focusing on the red and the notes in blue italics. The rest of my commentary follows the article.

Pope Will Have Security, Immunity By Remaining In The Vatican

Philip Pullella
VATICAN CITY | Fri Feb 15, 2013

(Reuters) - Pope Benedict's decision to live in the Vatican after he resigns will provide him with security and privacy. It will also offer legal protection from any attempt to prosecute him in connection with sexual abuse cases around the world, Church sources and legal experts say.

From South Park Se10 Ep11 "Hell On Earth 2006"
"His continued presence in the Vatican is necessary, otherwise he might be defenseless. He wouldn't have his immunity, his prerogatives, his security, if he is anywhere else," said one Vatican official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

"It is absolutely necessary" that he stays in the Vatican, said the source, adding that Benedict should have a "dignified existence" in his remaining years. ("Dignified," as in "not in prison")

(snip)

The final key consideration is the pope's potential exposure to legal claims over the Catholic Church's sexual abuse scandals.

In 2010, for example, Benedict was named as a defendant in a law suit alleging that he failed to take action as a cardinal in 1995 when he was allegedly told about a priest who had abused boys at a U.S. school for the deaf decades earlier. The lawyers withdrew the case last year and the Vatican said it was a major victory that proved the pope could not be held liable for the actions of abusive priests. (Victory? Maybe the Vatican should do something already about preventing more children from being abused, instead of worrying about its "victories.")

Benedict is currently not named specifically in any other case. The Vatican does not expect any more but is not ruling out the possibility.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
What did I tell you?

If you don't remember, I'll remind you of some of the Top Ten Possible Reasons why Pope Benedict may have resigned:
7. It was becoming increasingly difficult to keep his pedophile priests under control, and that was overwhelming him.

5. His resignation was part of a deal to cover up his involvement in a scandal,...other that pedophilia.

4. He was threatened, and forced to resign, in a power play by another aging cardinal.

3. He was pushed out, in order to put in a politically-correct pope, who would attract more followers.

2. He was offered a higher position of authority in the Illuminati hierarchy he could not refuse.
1. He knows that Vatican security will soon fail, and he will no longer be safe from the common people's exacting of justice from him.

Something's definitely up.

Watch for his leaving the Vatican for a visit, and traveling to countries where he knows for certain that he is safe from prosecution....

It appears that the Vatican does not want him living outside of its walls either, as the old Poop's new residence could become a place of pilgrimage. Is the Vatican that concerned that it could be ripped in two?

Sure, this old pope says that he resigned due to his inability to carry out his duties. But, don't forget that since 1981 he was Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, and then from 2002, he was also Dean of the College of Cardinals, until election as Pope in 2005. In other words, as a 31-year Vatican insider, "he  knows where the money's hidden, and knows where the bodies are buried."

Because of his age, and apparent frailty, he is more likely to be bumped off die in his sleep than his pre-predecesor, John Paul I, might have been.

Ratzinger = Rat Singer
I doubt that the Vatican will be allowing this Ratzinger to sing much longer.

Stay tuned!

Naftali Bennett Photo Caption Contest

ו' וחודש הראשון תשע"ג

Rafi at Life In Israel turned me onto a photo caption contest for the photo of Jewish Home Party Head Naftali Bennett. Any takers? Please leave your caption entree below as a comment.

Here are my Esser Agaroth (2¢) versions:

1. My kippah constantly falling off runs parallel my faith in HaShem and commitment to His Torah, as is reflected in my legislative agenda, such as granting Israeli citizenship to several thousand people who want to annihilate, granting autonomy within the Land of Israel to the rest of them, amounting to a couple million.

To intellectual for you? Then try this proverbial one:

2. If a kippah needs a clip, then it's not big enough. If there isn't anywhere to clip it anyway, then it's REALLY not big enough.

OK. Now it's your turn.

(אובמה, פולארד, ופסח) Obama, Pollard, and Passover

ד' לחודש הראשון תשע"ג

What a fantastic poster!

Please circulate and I need volunteers to help me flood Jerusalem and Tel Aviv with these posters to beseech Pharoah to release Pollard NOW

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
Jonathan Pollard
This is not the first time the comparison between President Obama and the Egyptian Pharoah of old, has been made. I speak, of course, of the "...new king over Egypt who knew not Joseph." (Ex. 1:8)

This is also not the first time that the comparison has been made between the Exile of Egypt and the Exile Edom (Esau/Rome/The West), our current exile. Likewise, our Sages draw many parallels between the Exodus from Egypt and the completion of the fourth and, God willing, final exile.

Will ParObama release this son of Israel? Or will HaShem "harden his heart?" (Ex. 4:21)

Was the recent swarm of locusts across Israel just a seasonal thing? Or was it a sign of what is to follow?

In any event, I recommend that Jews begin their trek toward Israel now.

It is amazing just how many forget, even now, as we approach the holiday of Pesah (Passover), that the goal after being taken out of Egypt, and then receiving the Torah, was to reach Israel, the Land that was promised to us.

Miss Israel 2013...After The Fact

ד' לחודש הראשון תשע"ג

Jonathan Pollard
Miss Israel 2013, Yityish Aynaw, says that she will tell U. S. President Obama that he should release Jonathan Pollard, who has been sitting in prison for over 27 years, having been convicted of espionage. Most of those convicted of the same crimes would have been released after five. But, Israel was involved, so double standards apply.

Needless to say, there are plenty of facts about this case which have yet to be revealed. Some are concerned for Pollard's safety when released. I believe that there are those who would rather not risk having Pollard walking around AND TALKING too freely. Why, Israeli President Shimon Peres might even be one of those people. But, of course, that's just speculation.

Here is Miss Israel 2013 talking about it.

Of Miss Israel 2013, Ariel Ben Yochanan of The Torah Revolution wrote:
 - Dark or white skinned, I would hope that Jewish women choose the Jewish way, modesty, rather than exhibiting themselves to show their outstanding beauties.
This attempted talkback on the YNET news piece below didn't pass the censors muster,...as one might imagine with YNET.

I agree with Ariel wholeheartedly. I am against the Miss Israel Pageant. I am against beauty pageants. At this point, I would generally make a comment about how hard it is to find a radical feminist when you need one. But, who knows? One radical feminist just might apologize for the Miss Israel Pageant, since the winner this year is a "of color."

But, I digress....
Ethiopian Olah Crowned Miss Israel 2013
Former IDF officer Yityish (Titi) Aynaw, 21, is first Ethiopian-born woman to win Israeli beauty pageant. 'There are many colors in Israel and it's important to show it to the world,' she says on stage

Dalia Neuman, February 28, 2013

Yityish (Titi) Aynaw, 21, of Netanya, was crowned Miss Israel 2013 on Wednesday night. She is the first Ethiopian-born woman who has won the beauty pageant.

In response to a question by one of the contest's judges, the new beauty queen said: "It's important to have a first (beauty) queen from the Ethiopian community. Israel has many ethnic groups and many colors, and it's important to show it to the world."

Her remark received a warm round of applause from the audience at the Haifa Congress Center.

Yityish, which means "a look to the future" Amharic, served as an officer in the IDF and now runs a fashion store. She immigrated to Israel at the age of 12.

"My aliyah was pretty tough," she said. "A new language, a modern society. I'm lucky to have had a friend, Noa, who befriended me from the start and helped me out. I didn't study in a ulpan. I was thrown into the deep water and learned the best that way." (I know some Americans, with and without trust funds, who could and should take a lesson from her!)

Asked during the competition which historical character had influenced her the most, she mentioned Martin Luther King: "He fought for justice and equality, and that's one of the reasons I'm here – to show that there are also good things in my community, which are not presented in the media. (Martin Luther King's inspiration makes much more sense to me than that of President Obama's. My guess is that Miss Israel isn't up on the latest [real] American news about the President.)

"I see it as a mission to represent Israel's different colors. There are not enough dark-skinned models in Israel.

"I hope to become a successful model thanks to the contest and create a change in the perception of dark-skinned models. I would be happy to be the first Ethiopian television host, an Israeli Tyra Banks."

Well, this woman certainly bright, and knows to "work it," as one might say in Hollywood. There's no doubt about that. In fact she sounds like she was born in Hollywood, save for the art of subtlety, a requirement to making it to the top in Hollywood, and then staying there. Israelis have never seemed to master that. Israeli celebrities take note. (A-hem!)

So, I may be against beauty pageants. But, if Yityish Aynaw, Miss Israel 2013 manages to use her title and developing status and connections for good,...like telling President Obama what to do, then more power to her!

AIPAC Anyone?

ג' לחודש הראשון תשע"ג

This post was prompted by a tweet of Yair Rosenberg's (taken out of context):
In fact, AIPAC is all about people who care about Israel -- its politics, culture, technologies and economy.
Esser Agaroth (2¢):
For the record, I like Yair's work, and he seems like a good guy.

But, AIPAC caring about Israel? It cares about power and aiding in the indoctrination of Jews into an assimilated, Western society, living in Israel or not. Israel must stop depending and co-depending on the United States, and all organizations which are, for the lack of a better expression, keeping the Jew down,...and in Galuth (exile), either physically, spiritually, or both. All Jews must leave the U. S. and immigrate to Israel,...NOW.

It is one of the crucial steps in the ONLY solution to the Jewish problem of the Jews (offensive Nazi pun intended).

'Nuff said.

But, I digress....

AIPAC supposedly stands for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. But, I prefer to call it the...
Association In Palestinian Authority Cahootz   OR

Association In Peres's Authority Circle   OR

Association of Indoctrination Public relations And Co-dependence
Take your pick.  They're all the same to me.

Organizations like AIPAC used to infuriate me. Now? They just make me yawn.

(yawn)

Jews who are taken in by them, and see them as their salvation, I intend to pray for you,...TO WAKE UP AND SMELL THE PROVERBIAL COFFEE! ...or cappuccino, or whatever.

However, I must admit that there is a tiny thought, stewing in the back of my mind, that says that you will get what you deserve.  May HaShem have mercy on you!

So, if you manage to survive the food riots, AND get on a private jet or boat which actually has some fuel still in it, AND manage to make it to the shores of Europe or Africa, AND then manage to drag yourselves through more food riots AND manage to escape panicky Yishma'elim (Arabs) and Edomim (Westerners) who are just a little too focused on sexual gratification (Hint, Hint), I'll be here,...waiting.

I won't even say, "I told you so," not unless you still don't seem to get it.

then, I will, to the best of my ability, help you find shelter and water, teach you about the varied benefits of amaranth (google it), and maybe even a chicken for Shabbos,...once in a blue moon. By then you will hopefully appreciate Israel, not as some distant land to throw money at, and maybe get a plaque for a dead relative, but for what it really is...

Your only, true home.

No thanks to the likes of AIPAC.

The Single Man's Secret To A Happy Passover

ב' לחודש הראשון תשע"ג

מנגל (grill)
That's right!

This baby which will run you around NIS 35, about US$9.50, is the single man's answer to a Happy Pesah (Passover).

Even a student should be able to afford it.  If not, then certain a group of students or roommates could. Then keep using it during the rest of the year. Bring it to the park. Bring it to the beach. Bring it camping. When Pesah rolls around again, just buy a new grill for the top, and keep that one Pesadik (Kosher for Passover).

No more noodging families to have you over for EVERY Pesah meal! Not only will you will you overcome your proverbial helplessness, as a single man, but you will also be able to do the misswah of entertaining guests!

After a couple of years sharing a house with the Kalashnokover Rebbe, and my having to deal with all of his hassidishe humroth (stringencies) for Pesah, he had this brilliant idea.

We DID clean the kitchen. But then, after he sold his hametz (leaven products), and I got rid of mine, we blocked off the kitchen, turned the now "spik 'n span" refrigerator to face the living room.

After that, if was על האש ("on the fire" - BBQ), matzah and salad.  It works, no?

If you keep a qitniyoth-free Pesah, try my homemade guacamole and salsa recipes.

Are you vegan? You don't have to feel left out. Onions, peppers, mushrooms, zucchini (sliced), the proverbial potato, and even tomatoes work great on the grill! I haven't tried butternut squash myself, and I hear that with olive oil brushed on it, it turns out very well when grilled.

Worried about the health hazards of using charcoal? Use olive wood. It works great!

And, just to show that grilling isn't just for men, here's a shout-out to my favorite women writers: Debbie Schlussel, Tomer Devorah, Shiloh Musings, A Soldier's Mother, Ki Yachol Nuchal!, and Jew In The City.

Pesah Same'ah!
Happy Passover!
