המטרה של הכתבה הזו לא כדי לספר בשבח של ויווק רמאסוואמי. בכלל לא. לא מגיע שום שבח לאף אחד שמזכיר את ארץ ישראל בשם פלסטין. חלילה.

אני פשוט רוצה להדגיש שלגבי סיוע לישראל השגרירה לשעבר ניקי היילי טועה. ויווק רמאסוומי לא טועה.

אנחנו קראנו בפרשת שופטים בשבוע שעבר:

״...וְלֹא־תִקַּח שֹׁחַד כִּי הַשֹּׁחַד יְעַוֵּר עֵינֵי חֲכָמִים וִיסַלֵּף דִּבְרֵי צַדִּיקִם"
(דברים טז,יט)

פסוק זה מתייחס לשופטים. אבל בקלות אפשר להבין איך הוא שייך לממשלות מדינת ישראל בין אם ימינית או שמאלנית. כל ממשלה יהודית אמיתית בעבר תמיד כוללת הסנהדרין, בתי דין המקומיים והמלך.

פעם אחר פעם, למעט חריגים נדירים, ראינו את ממשלת ארה"ב אומרת לישראל לקפוץ (לנהל משא ומתן עם מחבלים, להתאפק מלהתקיף את אויבינו תוך כדי הפצצת טילים וכו'), ובתגובה ממשלת ישראל שואלת עד כמה גובה לקפוץ.

במצב כזה עם ארה״ב סיוע כספי כן שווה לשוחד.

להמשיך על רמאסוואמי, הסכם אברהם 2.0 שלו מתכוון לשתף את ערב הסעודית, שרוכשת קרקעות בישראל באמצעות חברות פגז. איחוד האמירויות הערביות גם עושות את זה אבל בגלוי יותר, ומנצלות את הצורך הנואש של הישראלים באהבה וקבלה מבחוץ.
לכן נראה לי שרמאסוואמי הוא כמו כל מועמד טוב אחר לנשיא ארה"ב. ארה״ב במקום הראשון ברשימת העדיפות שלו.

למרבה מזל בגלל העקשנות הישראלית שלנו אנו מוכנים לסרב פקודה של נשיא אפשרי ויווק רמאסוומי ללא לקבל סיוע כספי.

"חברים" ערביים כאלה רק יזרזו את השמדתה של ישראל באמצעות התבוללות בתוך הקהילה העולמית. חילונים, אפילו הרבה דתיים לאומיים כביכול, שעברו שטיפת מוח לנאמנות רובוטית למדינה על ידי מערכת החינוך הממלכתית, יחד עם אינספור הלא-יהודים המגיעים לארץ מאפריקה ומאוקראינה, והעובדים הזרים מהפיליפינים, הודו וממקומות אחרים, יעודדו את היעלמותה של ישראל כאומה נפרדת ומובדלת.

בסופו של דבר האו״ם יצליחו לנקום נגד ישראל שקיבלה יותר שטח שאושר על ידי האו״ם בשנת תש״ח/1948 כשהיא הגנה על עצמה מפני הערבים שסירבו לקבל את תוכנית החלוקה של האו"ם.

המדינות הערביות השותפות בהסכמי אברהם פשוט ממשיכות להשמיד את ישראל. הערבים האלה עדיין ישמעאלים. לא השתנה כלום פרט לדרכים ואמצעים להשיג את מטרתם (בראשית טז,יא-יב; כא,ט).

ההבדלים העיקריים כלפי ישראל בין ראמסוואמי להיילי הם:

1. המניעים הנסתרים של היילי למימון ישראל: המשך שליטה ובסופו של דבר כניעה מוחלטת להשתלטות נוצרית על ישראל, באמצעות התלות מוגברת שלנו בארה"ב.
2. ראמסוואמי גם רוצה לנצל את ישראל, אבל הוא קצת יותר כנה מהיילי לגבי זה.
3. הצמצום של ראמסוואמי ובסופו של דבר ביטול המימון לישראל יהיה קשה לנו, אך הכרחי לשיפור בבריאות הנפשית ואפילו כלכלית של ישראל, ונותן בעיטה למחלת תלות השותפית לאומית שלנו. (משה פייגלין מדבר על זה שנים.)
4. תופעת לוואי של הסכמי אברהם 2.0 של רמסוואמי לקידום האינטרסים של ארה"ב עשויה להיות מעט קלה עבור הישראלי הממוצע לראות מאשר "האהבה והסיוע הכספי" של היילי.

לטוב ולרע, אנחנו נקבל את טראמפ כמועמד מפלגה הרפובלקנית, כלומר מסירת חלקי ארץ מורשת שלנו כפי תוכנית טראמפ. אין לאף אחד אחר שום סיכוי בפריימריז הרפובליקנים.

אז אם אתם אמריקאים ולא-יהודים תצביעו לרמאסוואמי על פני היילי. לפחות רמאסוומי יעזור לישראל לצאת מההתמכרות שלה לכסף אמריקאי.

אבל אם אתם יהודים, עזבו את ארה״ב כבר ועלו ארצה, ועזרו לנו להפוך את את מדינת ישראל להיות יהודית!

JNS: Ramaswamy tells reporters he hopes US aid to Israel reduced by 2028
The entrepreneur and Republican candidate for president said he would support more funding if his “Abraham Accords 2.0” plan doesn’t work.

Republican presidential candidate and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy told JNS late last month that he supports most of former President Donald Trump’s policies on Israel and that he wanted to go further than the former president with respect to the Abraham Accords.

In a recent interview with The Washington Free Beacon, Ramaswamy articulated a rather different aspect of his “Abraham Accords 2.0,” including ending military funding to Israel by 2028.

“If we’re successful, the true mark of success for the U.S. and for Israel will be to get to a 2028 where Israel is so strongly standing on its own two feet, integrated into the economic and security infrastructure of the rest of the Middle East—that it will not require and be dependent on that same level of historical aid or commitment from the U.S.,” he told the paper.

The candidate later told the Free Beacon by email that he would support continued Israeli aid should his Abraham Accords 2.0 plan not succeed. (cont.)

This post is not for the purpose of praising Ramaswamy, not in the least. I mean he mentions the made-up region of Palestine for goodness sakes. How much could he possibly know or care about the region?

I am simply pointing out that he is right about reducing, and eventually eliminating, aid to Israel. Former Amb., and fellow Republican candidate for president, Nikki Haley has criticized Ramaswamy for this policy, calling it a mistake. 

Haley is wrong; Ramaswamy is right.

Jews just read in last week's Torah portion Shofetim:

״...וְלֹא־תִקַּח שֹׁחַד כִּי הַשֹּׁחַד יְעַוֵּר עֵינֵי חֲכָמִים וִיסַלֵּף דִּבְרֵי צַדִּיקִם” (דברים טז,יט)

״...neither shalt thou take a gift; for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous." (Deut. 16:19)

This verse refers to judges. However, we can easily apply this notion to our government, whether right wing or left. After all a truly Jewish government has always been made up of the Sanhedrin, local courts, and the King.

Time and time again, with rare exceptions, we have seen the U. S. government tell Israel to jump (negotiate with terrorists, show restraint while getting bombarded by missiles, etc.), and in return the Israeli government asks how high it jump.

Yes, within the context of Israel's relationship with the U. S. financial assistance is now nothing less than a bribe.

To continue about Ramaswamy, his Abraham Accords 2.0 will include Saudi Arabia, which is buying up land in Israel through shell companies. The United Arab Emirates [UAE] are doing the same, much more openly, exploiting Israelis' desperate need for love and validation from the outside.

And so, Ramaswamy is just like any other good candidate for U. S. president. He puts America first. Israel much farther down on the list of priorities.

With Arab "friends" like these, it will only hasten Israel's eventual destruction through assimilation into a global community, secular Jews, even many so-called religious Zionists indoctrinated into robotic state loyalty by the State education system, along with the countless non-Jews flowing into the country from Africa and the Ukraine, not to mention foreign workers from the Philipines, India, and elsewhere, will cheer the disappearance of Israel as a separate and distinct nation. The United Nations will finally get its revenge for Israel defending itself against the Arabs who refused to accept the UN Partition Plan.

The Arab participants in the Abraham Accords are continuing to work toward the destruction of Israel. They are are still Ishmaelites (Gen. 16:11-12, 21:9). Nothing has changed except their ways and means to achieve their goal.

The only silver lining is that, due to our Israeli stubbornness, we see in our history as early as Ex. 34:9, we will not be so compliant to when receiving orders from the U. S. with its reduction, and eventual elimination of financial assistance.

The main differences between Ramaswamy and Haley are:

1. Haley's ulterior motives for funding Israel: continued control and eventual complete surrender to a Christian takeover of Israel, though increased dependence (leash) on the U. S.
2. Ramaswamy also wants to exploit Israel, but is somewhat more intellectually honest about it.
3. Ramaswamy's reduction, and eventual elimination of funding to Israel will be difficult, but necessary for Israel's collective psychological health, giving our collective co-dependence as a nation a proverbial kick in the pants gut. (Moshe Feiglin has been talking about this for years.)
4. A side effect of Ramaswamy's Abraham Accords 2.0 front for the advancement of U. S. interests might be a little easy for the average Israeli to clock than Haley's "love and money."

For better or worse, we're stuck with Trump, which means the Land giveaways in the Trump Plan. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, neither Ramaswamy nor Haley has a chance in the Republican primaries.

So if you are a non-Jewish American, and want to help Israel, vote for Ramaswamy over Haley. He seems a lot more trustworthy, and will help Israel kick its addiction to U. S. aid.

But if you're a Jew, get the hell out of there already, and come and help make Israel Great and Jewish Again!

יהושע בריינר צודק בדיווח על האכזריות של משטרת ישראל, בפרט של יס"מניקים. אישית אני נגד כל סוג אכזריות משטרתית. התפלאתי לשמוע שדעת הרבה פחות ימנים ממני -- לא אוהב את התיאור הזה, אבל זה מה שיש -- חושבים שמגיעה להם האכזריות, גם לשמאלנים וגם לחובשי כיפה שחסמו כבישים, שחסמו את הכניסה לנתב״ג, ושיבשו למעשה את המדינה.

זו טעות. מי שטוען ככה לא זוכר שאנו עשינו את אותו הדבר במחאה על גירוש היהודים מעזה בשנת תשס״ה/2005. האם גם לנו הגיעה האכזריות הזו? ממשלת שרון בהחלט חשבה כך.

המפגינים נגד הרפורמה השיפוטית הם פשוט חיילי כוחות בשלטון שעברו שטיפת מוח בהצלחה. הם שותפי פעולה במאבק הכללי המתמשכת נגד התורה שאנו נאבקים נגדו מאז יציאת מצרים לפני אלפי שנים. המפגינים כוללים לא רק את אנשי השמאל שרוצים להיות כמו הגוים בכמעט כל דבר, אלא גם דתיים לאומיים מבולבלים. הם מבולבלים מפני שחינכו אותם להאמין שאין הבדל ממש חוקי התורה לחוקי מדינת ישראל. הדתיים הלאומיים האלה הם מה שנקראים ״הממלכתיים״. שא אומרת לא התורניים. המבין יבין.

כשאני אומר להם שהחוקים האלה באמת לא אותם הדברים, הם מגיבים שאין לנו ההבנה והסבלנות ברמה הגבוהה של הרבנים (שלהם ולא שלי). וכך הם ממשיכים בחיים לעשות את כל מה שהרבנים הממלכתיים אומרים להם לעשות ללא לבקש שום הסבר או אסמכתה הלכתית.

אם אתם רוצים לגור במדינה דמוקרטית (אני לא רוצה), אז אתם צריכים לאפשר לכולם את הזכות למחות, ללא חשש מאלימות, ולא לתת רק לתומכים בממשלה הנוכחית אלא גם למתנגדי הממשלה. מי שאומר שהאכזריות המשטרתית נוגדת בדמוקרטיה אומר את זה בלשון המעטה.

עם זאת, איפה עם עיתונאי הארץ, מעריב וידיעות אחרונות כששוטרי המשטרה מכים את המתנחלים והחרדים?

איפה העיתונאים היו כששוטרים נתפסו בלי תגי שם לפני שנים? האם מאמינים זו הפעם הראשונה השוטרים שכחו כביכול לשים תגי שם במחאות הנוכחיות?

איפה העיתונאים הללו היו כשבחורות, ואפילו קטינות, השתתפו במחאות על גירושם הצפוי של יהודים מעזה (כולל גוש קטיף) וצפון השומרון. ובגלל זה ישבו בכלא עד תום התהליכי המשפט ושם טוענים שהוטרדו.

ואיפה העיתונאים האלה היו כשמתנחלים צעירים, כולל קטינים, עונו בידי סוכני ממשלה? איפה העיתונאים האלה היו כשנכפו מהם הודאות שווא? האם העיתונאים האלה עודדו את סוכני הממשלה לעשות כך?

אולי אני פספסתי את הכתבות שלהם בתלונות על פעולות משטרתיות נגד המתנחלים והחרדים. לכן אני ממתין בסבלנות לקבל את הקישורים לכתבות כאלה.

שוטרים סמויים
כמובן שיש סוכנים ושוטרים סמויים במחאות. איך אוספים מודיעין על המארגנים והמשתתפים, ובודקים את איום אפשרי בלי סוכנים ושוטרים סמויים? לא משנה אם המחאה של חרדים, שמאלנים, אנרכיסטים, דתיים לאומיים. האם הסוכנים והשוטרים מתמרנים את המצב מבפנים? אתם צריכים להחליט אם מאמינים אפשרות כזו. ראה את התמונה להלן של הסוכן החשוף לכאורה בעזה בשנת תשס״ה/2005.

It’s a Saturday night. Protesters in Tel Aviv have blocked the Ayalon Highway again. Hundreds of demonstrators fill the traffic lanes. Dozens of riot police officers punch them, wearing helmets so they cannot be identified, without name tags. They drag demonstrators roughly across the asphalt. A water cannon truck operates nonstop, targeting the heads of protesters with high-pressure jets of water, and mounted officers whip and trample demonstrators. (cont.)

Josh Breiner is right to report on the brutality of the Israeli police, in particular the Yasa"m (riot police). Personally, I am against any unbridled police brutality. I was surprised to hear that many less right-wing -- for lack of a better descriptor -- than myself disagree, that these leftists, along with those horribly misguided Religious Zionists had it coming, blocking roads, including the entrance to the airport, effectively disrupting the country.

They are wrong. They fail to recall that we did the same thing in protest of the pending expulsion of Jews from Gaza in תשס״ה/2005. Did we deserve it, too? The Sharon Government certainly thought so.

Those protesting against judicial reform are simply pawns of the internal, anti-Torah enterprise we have been battling against, since leaving Egypt thousands of years ago. Those protesting include not only the progressive "let's be like the goyim" leftists, but also those confused, religious Jews who have been indoctrinated into the belief that Torah Law and the secular laws of the State of Israel are very much alike, if not the same... When I suggest to them that they are not the same, they respond that we do not have the "high level" understanding and patience, as our [State (mamlakhi)] rabbis do, blah, blah, blah. And so they blindly follow them. My eyes never roll as much as they do on occasions of hearing this claim.

But, I digress...

If you want to live in a democracy (I don't), then you have to allow everyone the right to protest, without fear of violence, and not just those supporting the government, which happens to be in power at the time. To say that police brutality is the antithesis of democracy would be an understatement.

That being said, where with the Ha'aretz, Ma'ariv, and Yedioth Aharonoth journalists when settlers and Haredim get beat up by police?

Where were they when police were caught without name tags years ago? You don't actually believe this was the first time they have pulled that stunt? Do you?

Where were these journalists, when young women, minors included, jailed for protesting the impending expulsion of Jews from Gaza (including Gush Qatif) and Northern Samaria had their "boundaries violated" by male guards in the Tirtza Women's Prison?

And where were these journalists when young settlers, minors included, were tortured at the hands of government agents? When false confessions were forced out of them? Were they cheering them on?

In all fairness to these journalists, maybe I missed their reports with complaints and protestations. I will await their replies with links to their articles. However, I will not be holding my breath.

Undercover Cops
Of course, there are undercover agents and police at protests. How else to they gather intelligence on the organizers and participants, and make threat assessments? Haredi, anarchist, Religious Zionist, doesn't matter, they are there. Are they manipulating the situation from withing? I'll let you decide that for yourselves. See the photo above of the allegedly exposed agent from Gaza, 2005.

Remember Avishai Raviv? Years before the Rabin assassination, he was quite active undercover, including encouraging residents of Beit El to go up the Artiss Hill, even after being beaten back by police.

Reservists
In the protests against the Oslo Death Accords in the early 1990s IDF reservists refused to show up for annual reserve duty. Guess what happened to them? They were jailed.

נשיא ארה״ב לשעבר טראמפ קיבל עוד כתב אישום מגוחך נגד.

כדאי להדגיש, אני בכלל לא מעריץ שלו.

אם הייתי עדיין אזרח ארה"ב (אני כבר לא), ואם הייתי מתגורר בארה"ב, ואם הייתי נאמן לארה"ב, ואם לא הייתי יהודי (חו״ח), אז בוודאי הייתי מצביע לטראמפ. הוא אחד הנשיאים הטובים ביותר שהיו לארה"ב.

לארה"ב ולא לישראל.

מצד שני, ביידן זכה לביקורת רבה על הצגתו התסמנים של הופעת דמנציה.

השמרנים לא יכולים להשאיר את העוגה שלהם וגם לאכול אותה. אז מה קורה אצלו? חוֹסֶר כִּשָׁרוֹן? אדישות ברמת הרוע? או סניליות?

השמרנים תוקפים את ביידן, מכיוון שהוא מטרה ברורה לתהשיג. המצביעים בבחירות יכולים לזהות אותו בקלות. האמת היא שדווקא המטפלים מפעילי בובות שלו ראויים לביקורת על שהורסים את ארה״ב ולא הנשיא הסמלי הסנילי. השאלה היא האם השומרים שלו עושים את זהההרס בכוונה בכדי להצדיק את החלפתו וסגנו קמלה האריס לפני עונת הבחירות לנשיאות ב-2024 באמת יוצאת לדרך? או להרוס את ארה״ב גם חלק התכנית הסופית שלהם?

Another ridiculous indictment for former President Trump.

To be clear, I am not at all a fan of his.

Sure, if I were still a U. S, citizen (I'm not), and if I resided in the U. S., and if I was loyal to the U. S., and to not other authority, and if I weren't Jewish, then, of course, I would vote for Trump. He is one of the best presidents the U. S. has ever had.

For the U. S. Not for Israel.

He wants us to play ball with the Arabs identifying themselves as "Palestinians." Not his call.

He wants us to give up parts of the Land of Israel. What? You didn't know?

The Land of Israel is not his to give away, not Biden's, not Netanyahu's, not Barak's, not anyone's.

This all being said, President Joe Biden has received a lot of criticism from Trump, Trump supporters, and conservatives in general for his policies, and lack of action along the Mexican border, with transportation tragedies causing environmental disasters, and now his refusal to discuss the details of his trip to Hawaii, which has been devastated by fires on the island of Maui.

On the other hand, Biden has also been the target of fingers pointing to his display of symptoms of the onset of dementia.

Conservatives can't have their cake and eat it, too. So which is it? Incompetence? Apathy on the level of evil? Or Senility?

Conservatives are attacking Biden, because he is a tangible target to attack, someone voters can actually identify int he physical world. The truth is that it is his handlers who deserve the criticism for destroying the country, while they try to find an acceptable way to replace him and Vice-Priesdent Harris before the 2024 presidential campaign really gets underway.

We did not vote for Betzalel Smotrich to destroy Jewish strongholds, no matter how small or new. We voted for him because he would not destroy them, instead he would legalize them.

We did not vote for Smotrich because he would hold up such idiotic "Israeli" laws. We voted for Smotrich so that he would change those laws, or at the very least, demonstrate to our nation that, when in conflict, Torah Law takes precedence over "Israeli" law.

Personally I should have seen Smotrich's position on forced vaccination as being more of a red flag than I thought. (above)

Smotrich STILL has not answered my question about meeting with Christian evangelicals (above) who have essentially taken over at least one hilltop in Samaria. Surprisingly, he doesn't even just that Rabbi Eliezer Melamed of Har Bracha approves, so what's the problem? Maybe he did, and I missed it.

Nevertheless, many of us decided to give Ben-Gvir and Itshak Wasserlauf a chance.

The hilltop youth I know from 20 years ago, now all raising families, either keeping their heads down in Samaria, or a significant amount donning black hats, realizing the utter failure of the Zionist enterprise, and identifying as Haredi (ultra-orthodox).

Believe you me many of are staying home the next elections.

בט"ו באב נסעתי באוטובוס בחזרה מתל אביב ב-1:00 לפנות בוקר. מאחורי ישבו שישה תלמידי תיכון ודיברו.

על מה הם מדברו?

אחד הבחורים סיפר את סיפורם של קמצא ובר קמצא (תלמוד בבלי גיטין 55b), מדרש אגדה הקשור לחורבן הבית השני. החלטתי להסתכל. החלטתי להציץ כדי לראות איך הם נראים. לא ראיתי שום כיפות, רק לשנים היה שיער ארוך. לבחור שמספר להם את הסיפור היה שיער ארוך מאוד.

לא שמעתי שום אפיקורסות או כפירה כפי שאני מצפה מתלמידי מערכת החינוך הממלכתית החילונית. אבל לא היה ברור שהם חילונים. אולי הם לומדים בבית ספר דתי, אבל מסתובבים בלי כיפות חוץ לבית ספר או בית כנסת.

לאחר מכן הם דיברו על ששום דבר לא שייך לנו אלא הכל בבעלות של הקב״ה.

איזה איש מבוגר הנראה חילוני ישב בצד השני ל מעבר נפף במניפה עם סמן קשת הגאווה. הוא השתתף בשיחה. למרות שאני לא זוכר את מה הוא אמר, אני כן זוכר שהסכמתי איתו. נראה שגם הבחורים קיבלו את מה שהוא אמר.

ארבעה בחורים ירדו בגבעתיים, עיר שאינה ידועה כעיר אוהבת התורה, או במזרח מרכז תל אביב. לא ברור. שני הבחורים האחרונים ירדו בפרבר מעורב דתי וחילוני.

קשה מאוד ליצור סיפור כזה.

הקללה שחלק בני ישראל מתים במיוחד בכל ט׳ באב גם הוסרה בט' באב. אבל עוד לא ידעו שהקללה הוסרה עד ט"ו באב כש ראו את הירח המלא הוכיח כי התשיעי חודש החמישי כבר עבר ללא מקרי המוות הצפויים מדי שנה.

למרות המאבק המתמשך של עיריית תל אביב נגד התורה, חלק תקוותי חזרה אליי השנה בט"ו באב. אני ממש הייתי צריך את זה לאחר העציבות ודכאון של ט׳ באב.

On Tu b'Av, I was on the bus, coming back from Tel Aviv at 1:00 AM. In back of me sat six high school boys talking.

What were they talking about?

One of the boys was recounting the story of of Qamtza and Bar Qamtza (TB Gittin 55b), a prominent midrash agadah (story), related to the destruction of HaBayith HaSheni (the Second Temple). I decided turn around,... casually. I did not see any kippoth (Jewish male head covering), only a couple of them had longish hair, one of them very long hair, the one recounting the story for them.

I heard nothing heretical, like one might expect from students of the secular Israeli state educational system. I supposed that they did not have to be secular. Maybe they went to a religious school, but did not wear kippoth while on vacation. Who knows?

They then went on to discuss how nothing belongs to us. The Holy One Blessed Be owns everything.

The secular-appearing man waving a rainbow pride fan sitting across the aisle from me chimed in. Although I cannot recall what he contributed to the discussion, I do remember that I happened to agree with him. The high school boys also seemed to accept what he had said.

Four of the boys got off the bus in either Givataim, a city not known for its embrace of Torah, or east central Tel-Aviv. It wasn't clear. The last two got off in a mixed modern orthodox, secular suburb.

You just cannot make this stuff up.

The curse of dying on the Tribes of Israel while wandering in the desert was imposed, carried out, and eventually removed on Tisha b'Av (9th of Av). However, the curse's removal was not recognized until Tu b'Av (15th), when the full moon proved that the ninth of the month had already passed without the annually expected, mass deaths.

In spite of the City of Tel-Aviv's ongoing battle against Torah, I had some of my hope restored the other night on Tu b'Av, definitely a well-needed boost after the sadness and depression of Tisha b'Av.

This interview by Mark Levin covers the judicial reform issue clearly and concisely, focusing on the "reasonableness" clause, recently cancelled by the Israeli government. The partial, self-perpetuation of Israel's Supreme Court will be addressed by the Knesset in due course.

This illustration from Kohelet, an organization with which I often do not agree, provides a picture of just how much power Israel's Supreme Court currently posseses.

I am not a fan of Netanyahu. He is very problematic in many ways. This video is biased, and Netanyahu definitely has his ulterior motives for judicial reform. However, on this issues in this interview, I believe he is right. See the posted highlights. The Israeli Supreme Court has been running amok for years. Unfortunately, the system's supporters have the resources and the government didn't see it coming. (or did they? 🤔) Their bad.

PM Binyamin Netanyahu (01:40): We want to create a system of check and balances. The "Reasonableness" clause that we have says -- you don't have to eliminate it altogether -- you say that it's not enough... to nulify a government decision or a law based on something subjective, like an argument "I think this is unreasonable." So, there are limitations on this. Well you know this is what you have in all democracies. This is presented by our opponents as being this awful end to democracy. If that's the case, then you have no democracies anywhere else on earth. And the Court has a lot of other checks...

That was an explanation of the first part of judicial reform in Israel, which was just passed, removing the Israeli Supreme Court's abiity to cancel a law or other government action is fins to be [subjectively] unreasonable. In other words, distasteful to the Left. Now here is an explanation of what is truly behind the protests against the judicial reform.

Mark Levin (03:22): Mr. Prime Minister, Your opposition parties have really organized most of these protests. And they haven’t been secret about it, although the media seems to ignore it. We’re talking about opposition to you, to your majority, your coalition. They have not accepted the results of your election. And, as I see it, they’re trying to overthrow your government. They’re trying to get your government to back off. By the way, that’s how Ehud Barak sees it, a former prime minister, who’s helped organize this effort, and many others. You’ve got all kinds of dark money seeping into your country, even from outside your country. You’ve got all kinds of mouthpiece surrogates in the media, like Thomas Friedman, and others, who are trying to undermine your government, and who have never supported your government. Isn’t this really a way to try to destroy the coalition that you put together with the overwhelming support of the Israeli people?

PM Binyamin Netanyahu (04:15): Well the organizers of the demonstrations say so openly. In fact, they began their efforts, well before we established a government put forward the judicial reform. They just say, listen, we have to bring down,… This is a center right government, and they want a left government. They don’t want us in power. They want to be in power. Except they can’t get it through elections. So they’re trying to do it through these massive disruptions. You know, blocking roads, setting up fires, blocking the airport, and things of that sort. And the other thing they’re trying to do is basically I would say, assemble a cast of former generals, who tell you that, or basically telling the government, if you don't do what we say, if you go ahead with legilation, then we're going to insight for mass disobedience in the army. I'll tell you the day that Israel, that Israel's elected government succumbs to threats for former generals, that's the end of democracy. And we're not going to let that happen. That's where we are today, and we're not letting it happen.

Interesting that he did not give former Supreme Court President Aharon Barak any power by mentioning his name. Most Americans would not have recognized his name. Why help Barak by doing so, no matter how much feins lack of involvement in the opposition to bringing his judicial power structure down?

Politics can be complicated in Israel. You can be economically left-wing, but conservative when it comes to social issues, vice-versa, and any other possible combinations you can think of.

• There is a gay Speaker of the Knesset from a right of center party.
• A Sepharadi, haredi (ultra-orthodox) now former, member of Knesset attending his nephew's wedding to a man. (Sure, he was pushed out of his seat because of this, but... he went.) 
• There are settlers who are more environmentally conscious than the hypocritical, fake left of North Tel Aviv.
• Meanwhile, a left-wing lesbian is fighting against illegal immigration in South Tel Aviv. 

Never a dull moment. You just can't make this stuff up.
