This morning, more Messianic Christian literature was found in the center of Jerusalem, this flier targeting Hebrew speakers.

Of course, this area of town already has the displeasure of being located near the Baptist Church on Narkiss Street as well as, what I choose to call, the Jerusalem Christian Center, in the Klal Building.

Speaking at a joint press conference with his visiting Canadian counterpart Stephen Harper, Netanyahu observed that Israel will always retaliate to attacks.
"We foil terrorist attacks when we identify that they are in the making, and we respond against those who attack us," Netanyahu's spokesperson, Ofir Gendelman, quoted him as saying.
"If Hamas and the other terror organizations have forgotten this lesson, they will learn it again the hard way - and very soon," the prime minister said.
There has been an intensification in rocket fire from Gaza over the last weeks: On Monday, at least one rocket hit open ground in the Eshkol Regional Council in the Negev, and two more rockets struck open areas near Eilat.
Fearing a strong Israeli response, Hamas has taken fresh steps to calm the situation, setting up roadblocks in an effort to prevent members of other militant Palestinian groups such as Islamic Jihad from launching rockets.
Israel has in the past launched major military operations in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip in an effort to quell the rocket fire that has plagued its southern communities for many years. The most recent operation, in November 2012, saw rockets fired from Gaza strike the Tel Aviv area for the first time.

Lesson, huh?
The only lesson the Israeli Government has been teaching to the Arabs lately is that we will do a half-ass job of teaching them a lesson.
Some lesson. They have learned, time and time again, that we will bomb, then stop bombing when the "international community" insists that we stopped, having being influenced by the "Oscar-winning" Pallywood publicity (read: "lying) machine.
During the resulting, so-called "cease fire," Israel ceases, and Hamas fires.
Only after 100 missiles or so, Hamas declares and end to the "cease fire." Israel bombs, keeping in mind the not-so-innocent, innocent civilians, being used as human shields.
Repeat,...as in "repeat the same mistakes over again, expecting different results," in other words: INSANITY.
So, when should we expect the Prime Minister to teach Hamas a real lesson already?
Personally, I do not intend to hold my breath, waiting.

It's official: the US has approved a waiver Monday to lift some sanctions on Iran, claiming that the Islamic Republic has taken measures to curb its nuclear weapons program.
"Iran has begun to take concrete and verifiable steps to halt its nuclear program," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said, quoted by AFP. She added that it was "an unprecedented opportunity" to resolve global concerns over the program.

White House spokesman Jay Carney hailed Iran's actions as "an important step forward."
"These actions represent the first time in nearly a decade that Iran has verifiably enacted measures to halt progress on its nuclear program, and roll it back in key respects," he said in a statement.
"Iran has also begun to provide the IAEA with increased transparency into the Iranian nuclear program, through more frequent and intrusive inspections and the expanded provision of information to the IAEA."
The approval comes just hours after the European Union (EU) reportedly began lifting sanctions as well, after the UN's atomic watchdog confirmed that Tehran had halted production of 20 percent enriched uranium in line with the interim deal reached between Iran and world powers in November.

"The interim agreement which went into force today does not prevent Iran from realizing its intention to develop nuclear weapons," Netanyahu stated on the Knesset plenum. "This objective is still before us."
Netanyahu compared Iran's bid for a nuclear weapon to a train which needed to pass three stops en route to building a military capacity: enriching uranium to 3.5 percent, enriching to 20 percent and a "final stop" of enriching to 90 percent.

Maariv reported earlier this week that Netanyahu has been trying to prevent the deal from going through by any means necessary, using intelligence officials to search for possible breaches in the agreement.
While those reports remain unconfirmed, another possibility remains: a military strike. Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon hinted in a Politico article Sunday that Israel may resort to a strike if necessary, citing earlier examples of Israeli military action without US approval.

Is there really anything more than this map which needs to be presented?
This piecemeal placement and lifting of sanctions is not the integral schedule of positive reinforcement the West thinks that it is. Rather, it is just a bunch of bologna.
Just like Hamas and Hezbollah, both Iran's military and Jew-hatred do push-ups during sanctions. So, what if some of their own people have to starve or freeze? The destruction of Israel, and the spread of Shi'a Islam is much more important.
Lifting the sanctions will only make the Iranian Government's "HA-HA!" much louder, and a missile fired into Israel much sooner. (May God Forbid!)
And as the saying goes, "One nuclear bomb can ruin your whole day."
Israel is one nuclear missile away from having a very, very bad day.
Sarcasm aside, I am honestly not so certain that the West knows just how ruined a day,...and an entire country, can get.
Disappointing, to say the least.

Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas told Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper on Monday that there will be no official Israeli presence in the future Palestinian state, reported the Ma’an news agency.

"We want an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital that includes all the lands that were occupied in 1967 and that lives side by side with Israel in security and stability," Abbas said in a joint press conference with Harper in Ramallah.
"Anything else said or interpreted on our behalf matters only to those who interpret it," he added, according to Ma’an, dismissing rumors that he had agreed to concessions in ongoing negotiations with Israel.
Abbas thanked Canada for the aid it sends to Palestinian Arabs and said he hoped for the improvement of bilateral relations between Canada and the PA.
He added that he briefed Harper on peace negotiations and reiterated the PA’s position on a future state.
Abbas’s comments are a continuation of his ongoing policy of announcing that unless all his demands are met, there will never be peace with Israel.
This was also not the first time that he has declared that the future Palestinian state will have no Israeli presence whatsoever.
AFP reported that Harper, for his part, said during the press conference that Canada would provide additional financial support for Abbas’s Ramallah-based government.
"I have the pleasure to announce today that Canada will this year give additional (financial) support for the economic development of the West Bank," Harper told reporters, saying this was key for "social stability" and for advancing peace.
He did not elaborate on details about the aid, noted AFP.
Abbas said he respected the Canadian decision to vote against the PA’s unilateral statehood bid in the UN in late 2012, explaining that Canada is "an independent sovereign state, and it's their right to decide what it wants and to recognize who it wants." (Passive manipulative jab!)
Canada was one of only nine countries to vote against the resolution to recognize “Palestine” as a non-member observer state in the UN. Harper had reportedly personally intervened, unsuccessfully, to pressure Abbas to drop his bid for upgraded status at the UN.
Harper is currently on his first visit to the region since becoming Prime Minister and on Monday he became the first Canadian leader to address the Knesset.
Harper told MKs that Canada would stand with Israel no matter what, “in fire and water."
The bonds between the two countries, said Harper, were “very strong. Our friendship has its roots in history, and is nourished by our shared values,” as well as the trade between the countries.
In addition, he said, Israel and Canada were close military allies, with Israeli-made equipment and technology saving the lives of many Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan, where they are stationed as part of the international peacekeeping force.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has announced a new $66-million aid program for the Palestinian Authority during his visit to the West Bank city of Ramallah, where he met with leader Mahmoud Abbas.
Ottawa says the money will help advance the peace process, promote security and deliver humanitarian assistance.
Canada was contributing $300 million over five years, or $60 million a year, in a program that expired in June.
Since the signing of the Oslo peace accords in 1993 and the creation of the Palestinian Authority, Canada has provided more than $650 million in development assistance for the West Bank and Gaza. (cont.)

A real friend would realize that the same ol' "piece process" (spelled correctly) is just a bunch of bologna, one giant rouse to convince the "international community" that if the Arabs only get just one more thing, then they will agree to stop murdering Jews.Some settlers, we'll call them the "real" settlers of Yitzhar, Havath Maon, Havath Gil'ad, Eish Qodesh, and any other like, Torah-oriented town, would want us to "take our chances" in a Palestinian State, and would fight for the chance, in spite of what Abbas wants or does not want.
Acknowledging Israel as a Jewish State still appears to be a "deal-breaker" for the Arabs. A real friend would not tolerate this from anyone.

In his rebuttal, NIF's Avi Dabush dismisses the accusations that the organization is trying to undermine the Jewish nature of the state, citing its broad range of activities and its wealth of Jewish support:
"For those who are still interested in the facts: The New Israel Fund supports hundreds of organizations a year, and its activity has been enjoyed by many, at different scopes, for decades: Ethiopian immigrants, Mizrahim, Russian speakers, Arabs, haredim, women, etc. The aid is given in a variety of issues: Environment, employment, the battle against racism, human rights, housing and planning, health, gender equality, shared society and more.
Those who are really and seriously interested in knowing where every shekel goes to are invited to visit the NIF website and read its reports, which have received praise and prizes from the US associations registrar. And where is the money from? From American Jews who love Israel. Yes, just like the Jewish Agency or KKL, the federations which donate to every city and council we live in, as well as the Joint. Jews who wish to support trends of love of man, mutual guarantee, narrowing gaps and building an exemplary society, in the vision of the Proclamation of Independence. It's that simple."

Well, YNET. You asked, so I'm gonna tell you...
In my not so humble opinion, both arguments presented do the same thing. The argument against the New Israel Fund [NIF] successfully exposes its shenanigans, but so does the supposedly "supportive" argument.
1. The NIF funds "Arabs."
2. "The aid is given in a variety of issues: Environment, employment, the battle against racism, human rights, housing and planning, health, gender equality, shared society and more."
3. "Yes, just like the Jewish Agency or KKL (Jewish National Fund), the federations which donate to every city and council we live in, as well as the Joint."
"Against racism," "human rights," "gender equality," and "shared society" are all code phrases for anti-Torah. Of course, the Torah supports all of the above, within a Torah (ie. authentically Jewish) framework.
Leftist Jews are so assimilated into Western culture, they are deeply confused about basic concepts such as right and wrong.
"Just like the..." does not do it for me either, and makes the argument even stronger that the NIF is, in fact, attempting to transform Israel, according to its own un-Jewish vision, much like the non-Jewish Agency, non-Jewish National Fund, and the Federations.

Surely, it is technically both. But the focus is clearly on the building of a New Israel,...a Western assimilated one.

Justice Minister Tzipi Livni sharply criticized Economics Minister Naftali Bennett Monday, after the Jewish Home party leader remarked at a faction meeting that a Palestinian state would "crush" the Israeli economy.
"The Economics Minister must decide if he represents the Israeli people, or just the residents of isolated settlements," Livni insisted.
"In these trying times, when both left-wing and right-wing businessmen are deeply concerned about the future of the Israeli economy, the person in charge of that economy actually prefers to listen to extremist Rabbis," Livni claimed.
"The role of a responsible, Zionist leader is not to side with policies that isolate Israel and damage the economy and every Israeli citizen, but instead to push for a political agreement which could advance Israel's status in the international community, strengthen Israel's economy and security, and secure a Jewish, Democratic state."
Earlier Monday, Bennett had stressed Israel's need to maintain its borders and independence for economic growth, despite mounting pressure from the European Union and others to divide Israel in the face of boycotts.
During his speech, Bennett demonstrated on a map what the borders would look like if Judea and Samaria were given to the Palestinian Authority (PA), showing that the region provides access for missiles to fall on the center of Israel, especially the Tel Aviv area.
"Imagine if just one missile per day fell on Herzliya Pituah, what that would do to Israel's economy. If even one plane which was supposed to land at Ben Gurion Airport crashes (due to terrorism) per year, it would crush the Israeli economy," he elaborated.
"We have had economic pressures placed upon us - I'm not denying it," Bennett fired. "There may be a budding boycott movement, but why should we give away our land because of it? Why should we divide Jerusalem because of that?"
The European Union has been unrelenting in its criticism of Israel's construction in Judea and Samaria. The EU promotes boycotts of products made beyond 1949 Armistice lines, and has effectively redrawn Israel's borders to those lines in policies to its member states.
Recently, the EU has gone so far as to offer "unprecedented" aid packages to both Israel and the PA in the event that a two-state solution - and a withdrawal - results from negotiations.

Economic Minister Naftali Bennett does make a compelling counter-argument to Livni's co-dependent slobbering over goyshe (non-Jewish), economic threats, as well as the European Union's capitulation to bribery.
Unfortunately, it is the only argument that Livni and her ilk are willing to hear.
He even bridges his economic argument to maintaining Israel's territorial integrity.
Livni's complaint about Bennett preferring to listen to "extremist" rabbis is just silly. I WISH that he preferred to listen to "extremist" rabbis!
But, what really captured my attention in the report was Livni's description of the "common Israeli."
Settlers are not like the common Israeli, huh?
Well, it appears that the Arabs disagree with you.

A hundred of Israel's leading businessmen and businesswomen will fly to Davos next week, armed with a poignant message for the prime minister: Maintaining a growing and stable economy requires Israel to make peace with Palestinians, the sooner the better.

Leaders and businesspeople ranging from Strauss Group Chairwoman Ofra Strauss to Google Israel CEO Meir Bren and former UN ambassador Dan Gillerman will descend on the Davos Economic Forum to urge Israelis and Palestinians leaders to reach a diplomatic solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
An a-political group of Palestinians and Israelis, which includes names such as Palestinian energy mogul Munib Masri, tech mogul Yossi Vardi, Amdocs founder Maurice Kahan, Bezeq CEO Avi Gabai, industrialist Gad Propper, Israeli low-cost supermarket magnate Rami Levy and former ambassador to the US Prof. Itamar Rabinovich, have signed on an initiative called Breaking the Impasse (BTI).
"Israel must reach a diplomatic solution – urgently," a statement by BTI said. The group, led by Masri and Vardi, believes that a political solution, based on the two-state solution, is vital for the survival of both Israelis and Palestinian.
The economic forum convenes in Davos once a year and invites the biggest names in politics and business from around the world. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Shimon Peres and Justice Minister Tzipi Livni will lead the Israeli political delegation. Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Arekat will join Masri in leading the Palestinians.

The group of Israeli businesspeople will come to Davos at the invitation of the forum's chairperson Prof. Klaus Schwab, who intends to dedicate a day of the forum's proceedings to discuss the peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Leaders from Israel's business community will meet world leaders to convey one simple message: "The conflict harms everyone's pockets."
BTI stressed that they are not attempting to deal with the details of any agreement, but only in what they understand – economics.
"We know that if Israel wants a stable economy, a good future and continued growth – we must reach an agreement.
"The world is beginning to lose its patience and the threat of sanctions is becoming more imminent from day to day. We have a small window of opportunity with (US Secretary of State John) Kerry's arrival in the region, and it should be taken advantage of."
According to daily Calcalist, a week ago, some members of the group met Netanyahu in his office in preparation of the Davos meet. During the meeting, they warned him of the looming threat posed by boycotts.
Smadar Barber Tsadik, CEO of the First International Bank of Israel, said at the meeting that "the largest investment fund in Holland has already announced that it will not invest in Israel anymore because of its treatment of the Palestinians – and that's a problem."
Thanks to Tomer Devorah who found this piece on Arutz 7, in which Rami Levy claims that he was never a part of this campaign, we see a contradiction, and possible "inaccuracy" in the YNET report above.

These monetary scare tactics are, of course, all just a bunch of crap. Either this is the Far-Left's sappy excuse for creativity, or they are just desperately trying everything within their grasp, and the Right is too stupid to take advantage of it.

As important as Israel's economy is, we have already seen so many times throughout history that it will not make nor break the Peace Process, and certainly not the "Piece Process" being pushed down our throats.
President Reagan threatened Prime Minister Yitzhaq Shamir with the withdrawal of loan guarantees if Israel did not halt "settlement activity," that old canard.
Prime Minister Shamir told President Reagan to go ahead, and as you can see, we are still here,...
...and so are the "settlements."
Boycotts, Divestment, and Sanctions maybe practical considerations, on some level. But, standing up and declaring that all of Israel belongs to us, and that it was promised to us by The Almighty, and that it is not ours, nor John Kerry's, nor anyone else's to slice and dice, is a heck of a lot more practical.
It is the only thing that the Arabs will understand.

The Women of the Wall have officially made it in the Jewish world - they now have a splinter group. a break-away minyan.
Now on every Rosh Chodesh, it seems, there will be three minyanim - the standard minyan[im], the Women of the Wall and O-WoW (Original Women of the Wall)
The new group, called O-WoW is upset that WoW has decided to negotiate a compromise with the government and accept an alternate location, one that has come to be known as the Azarat Yisrael. O-WoW will hold its first organized services at the Kotel this Friday. According to the article it will be marking Tu bShvat, though Tu bShvat is really on Thursday so i am not sure how that works.
I feel really bad for Ronit Peskin and Leah Aharoni, founders of Women for the Wall, who will now have to lose some focus as they fight two separate groups, and possibly no longer once a month. If the two groups decide on different monthly days for their services, Women for the Wall might have to bring out the masses on multiple days, which might not be as simple a task.
Then again, if they stay divided, and if it is true that most of the members of O-WoW live abroad in the USA, they might not have services all too frequently. They might not get a minyan, and they might go unopposed because of it.

Well, I say, why don't we get Rabbi Avi Weiss, who appears to have received "Discommendation" from the Israeli Chief Rabbinate, to come over and referee?
Avi Weiss "made" a female "rabbi," called it by another name, and then promised never to do it again. Sorry, but the damage has been done, and as long as "rabbis" like him continue to confuse goyshe-developed, Western values and sensibilities with Torah values and sensibilities, there is no undoing it..Just look at the Kotel now!
Plus, there are many other examples of Frankenstein's Bride which you helped to create.
