Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's "interference" in US affairs is 'unprecedented,' US President Barack Obama asserted during an interview which will air in full Sunday night.

Speaking to CNN interviewer Fareed Zakaria, Obama addressed tensions between himself and his Israeli counterpart over the Iran nuclear deal, arguing that Netanyahu's opposition to the deal is wrong.

Zakaria asked Obama if it was “appropriate of a foreign head of government to inject himself into an American affair” to the extent Netanyahu has, and if he could recall similar conduct by another foreign head of state.

The US President tried to dodge the question, suggesting that Zakaria should pose his query directly to Netanyahu. Obama did, however, note that he could not "recall a similar example."

In March, in the midst of world powers' negotiations with Iran, Netanyahu spoke out against a potential accord before the US Congress, incurring the wrath of the Obama administration.

But tension between Israel and the United States has remained high since the deal's announcement last month, with Obama recently singling out the Jewish state as the only country who opposed the agreement.

In his interview, though, Obama was quick to stress the deep relationship shared by the US and Israel.

Asserting his ability to prove Netanyahu's basic position wrong, Obama claimed the deal was the best way to ensure Iran would not acquire nuclear weapons, making it a good agreement for the US and especially good for Israel.

Now, let me get this straight.

U. S. President Obama is complaining about Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu "interfering in U. S. affairs," as if the U. S. Government has NEVER interfered in Israeli affairs...

...such as telling Israel not to defend itself from Iraqi scud missiles. 

...and putting conditions on its monetary aid to Israel, forcing it to apply it toward purchase of American products to buy jacked-up priced, American products. 

...and forcing Israel to pull out of Azza (Gaza), before it can finish wiping out Hamas's arsenal which threatens the lives of Jews. 

...disallowing any opinion to be expressed, unless it agrees with the President's, even it if agrees with the majority of the U. S. Congress.

...basically telling Israel that it is not allowed to have an opinion on the Iran deal, which directly affects Israel's fate.

NO, the U. S. Government has NEVER interfered in Israel's affairs! Seriously?

Not only is President Obama having a tantrum about this, but the pot is calling the kettle black.

(Yes, I did, indeed, use the "b" word.)

Ariel Residents Get a Wake-up Call: Store Water!

Extreme heat and doubled water usage places undue strain on Ariel's water systems, leading to shutoffs at the worst of times.

Water supply malfunctions in the Samaria city of Ariel have many of the city's residents on edge.

This week's extreme heat wave has led the citizens of Ariel to double their regular water usage, putting undue strain on the city's water supply infrastructure and causing electrical malfunctions with the water pumps.

Israel's national water supply company, Mekorot, will be intermittently shutting off water supply to different areas in Ariel beginning on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in an attempt to correct the situation.

Map included here to show just how isolated the City of Ariel is, with its population of about 20,000, not to mention all of the other towns, closer to Jordan than the Mediterranean Sea.

A notice issued to the citizens of Ariel by the city's municipality warned of the impending water shutoffs and stated that the shutoffs may continue for three days.

Ariel Mayor Eliyahu Shaviro advised the city's residents via Facebook to reduce water usage and gather a minimum of four liters of water per family member per day for the next three days.

Community volunteers are stepping up to the task and distributing water to locals in need. Six water distribution stations are currently set up in various locations around the city.

What else can I say?

Storing water is not just for government shut offs, take overs, and expulsions, or future sieges by Arabs or foreign troops. It is also for those "regular" mishaps too, natural or orchestrated. It does not matter. We need water.

At the risk of being called an apocalyptic, alarmist nut job, I suggest that you have a heck of lot more water stored, than just for three days. Plus, do not count on having water distribution stations set up for you in in the future. And if by chance that you are provided with them, do not count on your neighbors to be their usual polite and friendly friendly selves, waiting patiently for their turn for that precious governmental gift, when they are extremely thirsty.

Take this incident as a friendly wake up call to get prepared, and stay prepared!

Investigation into the Jerusalem Pride Parade Stabbings

Internal investigation over the police oversights which led to the death of a teen - and wounded five others - made more transparent.

...Among other things, the committee will check whether police examined in depth any intelligence information regarding the dangers threatening the gay pride parade.

It will also look into a possible lack of coordination between the police and the Israel Prison Service (IPS), which released stabber Yishai Shlissel three weeks ago after he served 10 years for a previous stabbing attack at the Jerusalem Gay Pride parade in 2005.

The committee will begin investigating who is to blame for the oversight on Wednesday, Walla! News revealed. Due to testify are Brig. Gen. Effi Havivian, commander of the Zion area, and commander of the Moriah division, Kobi Davidian. 

Edri will be a prime focus of the investigation as well, and he will be scrutinized over whether he examined intelligence information enough in the weeks leading up to the parade.

The investigation marks the latest in a string of scandals which have rocked the Israel Police over the past year.

Well, whatever police work shoddiness was at play, before, during, and after the stabbing attacks at this year's Jerusalem Pride Parade, the Israeli Police at least had the forethought to station plain clothes officers among parade watchers,...assuming these plain clothed individuals were police officers, and not members of "another Israeli law enforcement agency."

However, they failed to connect the dots between Shlissel's release three weeks ago, his letter two weeks ago, and the overall, potential danger he posed to parade participants and onlookers.

The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court has sent the perpetrator of last week's Gay Pride parade stabbing in Jerusalem for psychological observation on Wednesday, after noting that he refused to cooperate with the court.

Yishai Shlissel arrived to his hearing Wednesday repeating earlier claims that he does not recognize the court's authority, and that he will not be represented by any lawyer.

Despite this, a representative of the Public Defense attempted to get Shlissel to change his mind about legal representation. (cont.)

Fit to stand trial or not, the Israeli Government seems to see Shlissel's lack of recognition of the court's authority as an existential threat to its State. He is not the first to make such a statement regarding the court's authority, albeit under completely different circumstances.

The easiest strategy of for the Government in Shlissel's case was to deem him "unfit to stand trial," in other words, insane.

The public will express its anger over this, and "demand justice." But, Shlissel will eventually be forgotten after being milked by the Government for everything he's worth to them in public relations points.

I do not believe that Shlissel will be the last Jew to criticize the courts, and by extension, the State.

Ideologically driven "settlers" protesting various government policies, such as throwing Jews out of their homes, and handing their lands over to Arabs, have also publicly declared their rejection of the Israeli court's authority.

Let us see if calling that Jew "unfit" or "insane" holds water the next time a Jew declares his lack of recognition of State's judicial system. I am not so sure that it will.

Let's see if any attempt on the part of the Government to put such settlers in the same category with Shlissel, simply because they also reject the courts' authority, will succeed in fooling the public as well.

Obama singled out Israel's government in a speech about the deal at American University. He described opponents of the deal as outliers and noted that the deal has support from non-proliferation experts and former ambassadors from both political parties.

"A nuclear armed Iran is far more dangerous to Israel, to America, and to the world than an Iran that benefits from sanctions relief," said the president. "I recognize that prime minister Netanyahu disagrees, disagrees strongly. I do not doubt his sincerity, but I believe he is wrong. I believe the facts support this deal."(cont.)

Read the rest of this report, and I defy you to find any "facts" which support anything, other than making it easier for Iran to annihilate us.

This has been, and continues to be, Iran's primary goal.

If "everyone else" supports the Iran Deal, then that can mean only one thing, that "everyone else" also supports the annihilation of Israel.

We tried to be like the Catholics. We lost our heritage, confusing by their world of avodah zarah.

We tried to be like the Lutherans. They shunned and rejected us anyway.

We tried to be like the Germans, and they almost succeeded in annihilating us.

We listened to fake "rabbis," who tried to convince us that Judaism was something that it was not, and vice-versa. We continue to reel from the damage of fake "conversions" and intermarriage.

We try to be "American" or "European." Just just stroll through Tel-Aviv! I shudder to think what that will do to us!

We suicidally latch onto Arabs, or we welcome Christians into our lives, and into our Land, with open arms.

So now, due to our resistance to the "separate and distinct" nature of our Torah identity, it seems that we are being blocked into a corner, a corner where we belong. But, I am afraid that the more we resist, the more it is going to cause us pain, much pain, in the long run.

Obama is just a "kelli," a tool, as are the Arabs, as are the Christians, as is Iran.

The Almighty is running the show. It is high time for us to recognize this.

Iran is not the Jews' primary enemy, neither is President Obama.

The Erev Rav is, encouraging us to assimilate, keeping us away from our proper path.

I do not exactly remember how I came across this series of tweets on Twitter, by accident, I think.

But, there are no accidents, are there? Not really anyway. This is certainly right up my alley.

What I glean from these, strung together pieces of an incomplete, but complex Twitter conversation is that...

Mira Bar Hillel, an Israel born write living in England, made a few faux pas.

One such faux pas was the grouping together of Ethiopian Jews and African insurgents, whom she calls "refugees."

I wonder if she would not mind living in the same neighborhood with such "refugees," with their thievery, sexual harassment, and other assorted criminal behavior, forcing the residents of South Tel-Aviv to be on constant guard. Just ask May Golan, South Tel-Aviv resident and activist.

One of these refugees even slugged a sitting Member of K'neseth [MK].

To suggest that these insurgents, running to a Jewish country, because they know that Muslim countries will not give them any handouts, have the same right to reside is Eretz Yisra'el (Land of Israel) as Jews, regardless of origin, is at the least is "border-erasing" globalist imperialism, and at wost a sure path of destruction of the Jewish People.

Furthermore, lumping together extremely diverse groups of people, speakers of hundreds of languages, members of various religions, are all the same, due to their somewhat similar skin pigmentation isn't prejudice?

It is as if she had suggested that ethnic Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese, and Mung, are all the same. I do not believe that anyone would disagree that this is racist.

Well, Ashager Araro, a senior at the Interdisciplinary College in Hertzliyah, put Bar Hillel in her place.

Bar Hillel lives in England. But, Arano lives here in Israel. She also happens to be Jewish and Ethiopian. Who better to speak from an Ethiopian Jewish perspective that a Jewish Ethiopian?

Young Orthodox Jew getting "handled" by a Jerusalem Light Rail ticket agent. That's right, not a Light Rail security officer, but a ticket agent.

Are ticket agents even authorized to take such actions?

Did he feel that his life was endanger?

What did this young, Orthodox Jewish man do to deserve this?

Ride without a ticket? Countless young English speaking have erred out of ignorance, yet are ticketed anyway.

Is Citipass so hard-up for funds, it needs to beat the fines out of the offending passengers?

The female agent appeared to do what she could to resolve the situation. Did she do enough? Why didn't she call the real police, light security, or at least her supervisor? Was she the supervisor?

Why weren't all of the Jews standing around doing anything? One took this video. But, I didn't even seen anyone else on their phones. Did you?

What if this young man had been younger? 15? 11? What about eight? Would they have still stood around, not doing anything?

As far as I know, this guy wasn't even a real cop, dressed as an agent!

Is this an example of the shape of things to come?

JPost: Ashdod Port workers evacuated due to container emanating high levels of radiation

Environmental Protection Ministry officials stressed that the container posed no threat to people in the area.

Emergency teams identified radioactive material emanating from a shipping container at the Ashdod Port on Monday.

As a precaution, port workers were evacuated, enabling Fire and Rescue Services and hazardous materials teams to perform checks to classify the material, a statement from Fire and Rescue Service’s southern district said.

The container arrived on a Chinese ship, Channel 2 reported.

Environmental Protection Ministry officials stressed that there was no threat to the area.

“At the instruction of the Environmental Protection Ministry, the container was transferred to an insulated area at the Ashdod Port,” a statement from the ministry said. “There is no risk to the public.”

The Ashdod Port likewise emphasized that although emergency teams activated hazardous materials procedures, the facility continued to function as normal.

A radioactive, Chinese cargo container shows up at the Ashdod Port without any apparent expectations from the Port Authority, and all we get from them is...

“There is no risk to the public.”

Are we supposed to be that stupid and trusting?! Seriously?!

If South Park's Officer Barbrady worked for Israel's Environmental Protection Ministry.

I also wonder just how insulated "insulated area" at the Ashdod Port is.

Think about it.

Either the Ashdod Port receives radioactive materials requiring storage or in an appropriately "insulated area."

OR

The Port Authority does not really have such an "insulated area," at least not one to protect the public sufficiently from radioactivity.

What? They have an "insulated area" taking up space,...just in case?

Furthermore, just in case of what, exactly?? Medical equipment with minute amounts of radioactive substances, which break open during transport?

Possible, but doubtful, in my opinion.

Just ask these kids irradiated, and their parents told that it was an experimental treatment for ringworm.

Want to mail a letter? Think again. Many of the Israel Postal Company’s red metal mailboxes throughout the country have been labeled “Inactive,” and their mail slots filled with hardened white foam.

“The world has changed,” said Maya Avishai, spokesperson for the company. “People are sending more emails and fewer letters, so our resources are changing.”

The Israel Postal Company, originally known as the Israel Postal Authority, is a government-owned company that has been undergoing a privatization process for several years, but is still struggling with its recovery plan following a massive strike last October.

As part of that recovery, the company plans to have fewer mail deliveries, eventually dropping to just twice a week, cutting its staff of 5,000 employees and reducing the number of local post office branches and mailboxes.

It may not be worth the effort, said Professor Sam Lehman-Wilzig, chairman of Bar-Ilan University’s School of Communication.

“The issue is whether the older media, in this case the post office, can find ways to adapt itself to a new threat, which is email,” said Lehman-Wilzig. “People stopped sending letters, I almost don’t get any wedding invitations in the mail. So what the post office has been trying to do relatively unsuccessfully is to branch out.”

The post office’s problems are nothing new in the history of communication, said Lehman-Wilzig. Every time there has been a new way of transmitting information, it threatens the older methods and then, when it can’t adapt itself, ends up disappearing.

“Who sends a telegram today?” asked Lehman-Wilzig. “It took several decades for the telegram to disappear, but of course it was the way of communicating electronically for around 50 years. There are no telegrams anymore, and we certainly don’t have the Pony Express.” (cont.)

No matter how logical this report is, suggesting a gradual shutdown of postal services, unless the post office can adapt, this will still be representative of the desired advancement by the powers that be to control, and more closely monitor the populace's (our) communications.

Israel already seems to be in the forefront of converting to a completely electronic economy.

Could it be that the recently reported "mishaps" and complaints from the public regarding the Israeli Postal Service are just convenient catalysts?
